R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX SIRONE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 49,000
- CAMERON – Showed improvement when 7th of 13 behind GLOBAL DUTY (14) in a 2700m Vincennes Class D a week ago. Imposed here earlier in the year but the draw will do him no favours
- NEO TURBO – Imposed over 2840m in Mons 2.5 weeks ago. Consistently gives his best and although unraced at Vincennes, he gets a top driver for the occasion and must be taken seriously
- CARL HALBAK – Serious Swedish raider that finished strongly to come 2nd of 14 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April. Has significantly more to offer and is not incapable of opening his French account
- COCIS MP – Back in France after finishing 5th of 11 over 1640m in Rome mid-month and despite the good draw, has no possible chance
- DAYAK (ITY) – Finished well to run 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C late last month. Enjoys a good position on front line and a similar effort would see him win this
- NATURAL MINE – Has won 3 of 4 this year, most recently a 2525m Cavaillon Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Starts in front and while not the biggest fan of Vincennes, it is hard to ignore his form
- JAB DE MYE – Has not been seen out since running 7th of 13 in a 2800m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche last September and will need the race
- JACKSON D’ARC – 3 times runner-up before coming 4th of 10 in a 2550m Bordeaux Class F early last month. Starts wide but has decent 2100m credentials here and will have freshness on his side
- JEU COQUIN – Placed twice before winning a 2850m Laval Class E on 29 April. Has been handed a tough draw but must still be considered a player
- KINGSLAYER PELLINI – Courageous 4th over track and trip before faulting, when on course for a cheque, in a 2700m Class D here last week. Handed an unenviable draw but races barefoot this time and can play a small role if Christophe Martens positions him early
- CRALGIDO SM – 4th of 7 over a mile at Follonica 3 weeks ago. Has no particular liking for the venue and can be passed over
- DEMETRIO – 3rd of 13, a place behind CARL HALBAK (3), in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April. Not short of ability but has little going for him this time
- ONE LOVE BIANCA – 6th of 11 to NEO TURBO (2) over 2840m in Mons 2.5 weeks ago when prepping for this. Gets on well with Paul Ploquin and will not go down easily
- GLOBAL DUTY – Gave a surprisingly-good account to run 3rd of 13 in a 2700m Class D here a week ago but a repeat seems improbable
- DIAPASON (ITY) – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a 2525m Cavaillon Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Hind shoes off again but still not a concern
- CORALLO PISANO – Makes Vincennes debut after running 2nd of 7 over a mile in Turin earlier this month. Races shod from the 16-spot and can be ruled out
Summary: DAYAK (ITY) (5) may not be the most dependable of horses but he is clearly close to his race, goes over any trip, and from the 5-spot can return to the winners’ enclosure. He will still come under pressure from the well-positioned CARL HALBAK (3) who left a very good impression on his recent French debut, and NATURAL MINE (6) who returns to Vincennes on a hat-trick. JEU COQUIN (9) has turned a corner this year and has references under these conditions.

C2 – PRIX CLAUDIA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - KEROSEN DU GERS – Last but one behind KALINE DU LOCHEUR (6) in a Class D over course and distance late last month and can expect to remain friendless in the markets
- KOQUERY DU BUISSON – Got straight down to business on comeback, winning a Class D over course and distance on 21 March. Boasts a 60 percent win-rate when barefoot and will have his chances
- KALINE DU JOUR – Ran 2nd over course and distance before winning a 2875m Enghien Class D on 18 March. Takes on the boys this time though and would be preferred barefoot
- KOURGA DE LOU – Encouraging 3rd at Enghien before being sanctioned in a 2100m Class C here on 5 April. Males in her path this time and chances appear limited
- KISS ME AGAIN – Ran a good 5th of 16 in a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago, on first start since early-December. Has won 2 of 3 over course and distance and his driver will be keen to extend that ratio
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – Runner-up in last 2, most recently a Class D under these conditions on 28 April. May not get her nose in front this time either but she is close to her race and it is only a matter of time
- KISS ME – No slouch on a good day but will need to improve on latest 7th of 10 in a 2200m Salon-de-Provence Class C a month ago
- KEY OF LOVE – Sanctioned in 2 since winning over 2850m here, latterly a 2700m Gr.2 here a fortnight ago, and is not about to shake things up
- KRIS MARTIN – Was preparing for this when sanctioned over 2100m in Wolvega 3 weeks ago. Entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois for first time and, shod to preference, is one to keep an eye on
- KANO – Raced better on re-entry behind KISS ME AGAIN (5) in a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago than his 11th of 16 would suggest. Has no particular liking for Vincennes but his class is evident and must be retained
- KOQUIN D’AMOUR – Smartly won a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Boasts a good record when barefoot and a repeat is not out of the question
- KRAKEN CASTELETS – 5th over track and trip but sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class B on 10 March. Is confirmed under these conditions but seems to be biting off more than he can chew
- KAISER – Sanctioned in 4 of last 5, most recently a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago, and even though reconfigured is not about to cause an upset
- KAISER DES GRANGES – Unseen since being sanctioned in a Class B over track and trip on 28 February. Christopher Nicole could not have hoped for a better entry and Benjamin Rochard will be keen to make hay
Summary: KISS ME AGAIN (5) showed his liking for these conditions last season and, following a convincing comeback here earlier in the month, he is reunited with Anthony Barrier who can be confident of a big run. Well-engaged at the limit of earnings, KAISER DES GRANGES (14) comes here fresh from a short spell and can make a big impact if he stays in stride. KOQUERY DU BUISSON (2) picked up where he left off, winning over track and trip last month, and simply excels with Eric Raffin. KOQUIN D’AMOUR (11) got back in the winners’ circle here a fortnight ago and will be no easy touch.

C3 – PRIX ENIF – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LE MAESTRO – 5th of 12 in a Class E over course and distance a week ago. Tristan Ouvrie takes over in the bike and will be hoping to put things right
- LOUXOR DE GUEZ – Has not been seen out since winning a 2175m monte Class D here last September and will have nothing to contribute
- LOTHBROCK – Reassuring, and even somewhat unlucky, 5th of 13 in a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Has significant ability and will be no shrinking violet if Mathieu Mottier keeps him trotting
- LODEN D’HERFRAIE – Unlucky 8th of 10 finishers behind LOTHBROCK (3) in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight ago. Unlikely to cause an upset but will not be far off the mark if kept out of harm’s way
- LUX DE LA MESLIERE – 9th of 10 finishers on re-entry behind LOTHBROCK (3) in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight ago. Will have progressed and can finish close provided he keeps his action together
- LE BOLIDE – Honest type that ran 5th of 11 in a 2200m Caen Class E on 17 March. Races barefoot for first time but would be preferred at a lower level
- LOUSTIC D’YVEL – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in a Class D under these conditions early-January. Races barefoot but is going to need the run
- LOMBARDO DE LOU – Ran 2nd at Caen but failed to confirm when sanctioned in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E on Monday and backs up with limited aspirations
- LE CHEF – Unraced since finishing last of 11 behind LE BOLIDE (6) in a Class D over track and trip 2 months ago and chances appear slim
- LOIR ET CHER – Made short work of his return run when dominating a 2700m Class E at Le Croisé-Laroche a month back. Goes first-time barefoot and is not to be underestimated
- LE MAGNIFIQUE DJOC – Unthreatening last of 5 in a 2850m Feurs Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Is first-time barefoot but still not an obvious choice
- LOVELY MILL – Unbeaten in 2 starts since changing stables, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E on 10 March. Has been afforded time to get back in shape and can make it 3 on the trot
- LANCELOT GRIFF – Quality element that comfortably won a 2850m Laval Class E late last month, on first start back. Champion driver at the helm and will have a claim on the double
- LOOK PEJI – Last of 14 in a 2875m Argentan Class E 11 days ago. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry though and Alexis Collette will be hoping to capitalise
Summary: Winner of both starts since the winter break, LOVELY MILL (12) makes his Vincennes debut on a hat-trick and has a reasonable chance of pulling it off. LANCELOT GRIFF (13) imposed at Laval on his first appearance since moving yards, has been reconfigured for the occasion, and the engagement of Eric Raffin could well see him double up. LOTHBROCK (3) makes just his 3rd start for Paul Hagoort, races first-time barefoot, and Mathieu Mottier will have every reason to be confident. LUX DE LA MESLIERE (5) will have come on for his return run and is thoroughly capable of winning a race of this nature.

C4 – PRIX RENE PALYART – ETRIER 4 ANS Q1 – 2175m (a1m1/4) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - LOLITA TURGOT – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2850m harness Class A here 3 weeks ago and in this company will have little to offer
- LUNIK DU CHOQUEL – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2700m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Just hind shoes off this time but still not an obvious choice
- LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2700m Class B here 3 weeks ago, and looks properly out of her depth
- LIBERTINE DJOB – 7th of 13 to L’ECRIN D’OR (5) in a 2700m Class B here 3 weeks ago and, barefoot or not, will struggle to make her presence felt
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Flew up, on monte debut, in a 2700m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Takes a notable step up in category but has been reconfigured and deserves to be taken seriously
- LE VOYOU D’ALMO – 11th of 13, on return to competition, in a 2850m harness Class A here 3 weeks ago. Front shoes off for first time but still no more than a minor place chance
- LARA DU LERRE – Starts for first time since running 2nd of 9 in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 18 February. Was in excellent form over the winter and while shod and unlikely to get her nose in front, she can still make first 5
- LISBONNE DRY – Good, consistent filly that chased LITTLE ORELIE (12) home in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Louis le Bourg here on 9 February. Unlikely to win this but can still trot her way onto the podium
- LOOPING DAY – Last of 10 when preparing for this in a 2700m harness Gr.3 here early last month. Takes to 2175m for first time and others easier to back
- LIONHEART – Classy campaigner starting for first time since winning 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien here on 5 January. Is plainly in competition-mode and can expect to garner the lion’s share of support
- LUCKY JACKSON – Last of 12 in a 2200m harness Gr.1 here on 1 March. Is a Gr.2 winner over course and distance, reverts to a previous formula, and if applied can play a part
- LITTLE ORELIE – Ran 2nd over course and distance in Gr.2 Prix de Pardieu before winning the 2850m Grand Prix.2 Prix Louis le Bourg with authority on 9 February. 3 times a runner-up over 2175m here but that could all change
- LEXIE DE BANVILLE – Classy campaigner making first appearance since easily winning 2700m Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes here mid-December. Thomas Levesque’s horses are not conditioned on the racetrack and she must be considered a contender
Summary: Surprisingly sanctioned in the Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes mid-December, LIONHEART (10) set the record straight 3 weeks later with a convincing Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien victory and although unseen in public since, he will have been specifically prepared for this and looks a marginally better bet than LITTLE ORELIE (12) who has been simply superb since, and a reconfigured and fresh LEXIE DE BANVILLE (13) who starts for the first time since winning the Prix de Vincennes. Consistently in the thick of things, LISBONNE DRY (8) put on a good show behind Paul Ploquin in the Gr.2 Prix Louis le Bourg and will again be competitive for a place in the frame.

C5 – PRIX MAGINUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - LUTIN DE REUX – Failed to confirm Agen victory when sanctioned in a Gr.3 over track and trip on 1 March. Drops marginally in class and Alexandre Abrivard will be determined to set the record straight
- LITTLE WINGS – Unseen since faulting in a Class A over track and trip late-January. Stays shod, is pitted against the colts, and has no possible chance
- LUTIN VENESI – Would not have been far off the mark behind LEWIS RIVER (6) in a Class A over course and distance a month back had he not lost his action with 200m to go. New pilot at the helm and redemption anticipated
- LARA DU GOUTIER – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a 2850m Gr.3 here late-January. Shoes off but no fireworks anticipated
- LORD DE LOIRON – Last of 13 behind LOGAN JIEL (8) when preparing for this in a 2850m Class here 3 weeks ago. 4 pads fitted this time, has merit , but in this company will need to find more
- LEWIS RIVER – Rather disappointing 7th of 11 finishers in Class A over course and distance a month ago. Sports modified shoeing but others still preferred
- LASH PERRINE – Drops in class after coming 7th of 10 in a Gr.3 over track and trip early last month but still appears to have little to offer
- LOGAN JIEL – 8th of 13 on re-entry in a 2850m Class here 3 weeks ago. Is never easy to gauge but sports a new configuration and should appreciate the shorter trip. Attention
- LOVER MAN – Good 3rd of 9 on re-entry in a 2875m Enghien Gr.2 last weekend. Yet to disappoint over 2700m here and should be able to wrap this up
- LUMINOSITY – Last but one behind LUSH LIFE (12) in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Shoes off for the first time and Matthieu Abrivard will be justifiably confident of a competitive run
- LEONARDO ROC – Useful colt making first start since finishing last but one in a 2850m Gr.3 here on 31 January. Races barefoot for first time and has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
- LUSH LIFE – Complicated but able filly that ran 3rd of 13 in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Takes on the colts this time but is still good enough to make first 5
Summary: Just once out of the first 3 in 10 career starts, LOVER MAN (9) made a fine re-entry at Enghien last Saturday and even though reverting to wearing pads, at this level he will take all the beating. LUMINOSITY (10) will have come on for her comeback run and, barefoot for the first time, can perhaps finally manage to reveal her true potential. Sanctioned here when full of running last time out, LUTIN DE REUX (1) has been afforded time to recalibrate and reverts to racing with front pads. Difficult to knock when focused, LUTIN VENESI (3) has been entrusted to Benjamin Rochard for the first time and is unlikely to disappoint.

C6 – PRIX LOUIS FORCINAL – ETRIER 5 ANS Q1 – 2850m (a2m) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - KING STALLION – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2800m Rambouillet harness Class E late last month and is not about to spice things up
- KALINE DE VIVOIN – 6th of 12, on return from a spell, in a 2700m Class C here 10 days ago. Shod as she was in February but still needs to raise her game
- KERRY LOVE – By no means disgraced when 3rd of 4 to KATINKA AIMEF (5) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Has more to find but can nevertheless make first 5
- KID BELLAY – 7th of 11 when being prepped in a 2700m harness Gr.2 here a fortnight back. Has conditions to his liking and Eric Raffin appears to be on the pick of the lot
- KATINKA AIMEF – Moves back up in category after dominating a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago and a repeat is well within her capacity
- KARLA DE MAI – Last but one behind KYRIELLE (7) in a 2700m harness Gr.2 here a fortnight ago and has no realistic chance
- KYRIELLE – 4th of 11 in a 2700m harness Gr.2 here a fortnight ago. Is confirmed at this level under the saddle and finishing close would be no surprise
- KAPAULA DE L’EPINE – Sprang a 50/1 surprise when 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2175m Gr.1 Prix des Centaures here in early-March. Just front pads fitted this time and a repeat seems highly unlikely
- KELLY DE BANVILLE – Would not have been far off the mark had she kept her action together in 2700m Gr.2 Prix Paul Bastard mid-February. Has been afforded time to get her house in order and with application will be no soft touch
Summary: Not always the most reliable but a high-class horse nevertheless, KID BELLAY (4) is shod as he was when runner-up to the good Kyt Kat in the Gr.2 Prix Paul Bastard, and can impose for the first time in over 14 months. Eric Raffin will still be wary of KELLY DE BANVILLE (9) who excels under these conditions, and KATINKA AIMEF (5) who was a pleasure to watch here a fortnight back. KYRIELLE (7) put on a very good show in the Gr.2 Prix Henri Levesque here 2 weeks ago and with Alexandre Abrivard aboard for her return to the discipline, can be assured a competitive ride.

C7 – PRIX DE VILLECRESNES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 49,000 - DIABEL – Lost her action early in a 2875m Enghien Class D last week. Thrives with her driver, gave a fine account over track and trip 3 weeks ago, and must be afforded respect
- NANNY’S GIRL – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2800m Pontchateau Class D early last month. Enjoys a good draw but others still easier to trust
- HELLA DE JANA – Oddly out of sorts when last of 12 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche 11 days ago. Has never left the main track without a cheque though and the draw will do her prospects no disservice
- WILDA KNIGHT – Last but one in a 2550m Reims Class E on re-entry earlier this month. Preparing for a monte campaign and can be passed over
- SANGRIA PELLINI – Sanctioned when preparing for this over 1900m at Berlin-Mariendorf a month back. Placed under these conditions earlier in the year and from the 5-spot is unlikely to be far from the action
- DADA DEL RONCO – Confirmed her fine form when securing a a 2875m Enghien Class D 8 days ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and is sufficiently well-positioned to confirm
- ISLAND CASH – 12th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class F a week ago. Tricky mare but is a tough nut when barefoot and can bring the fight to DADA DEL RONCO (6)
- NYMKE BRIGADOON – 6th of 14 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April. Cannot be considered a priority but should nevertheless hold her own
- JALMAROSA – 10th of 12 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E last week. Runs barefoot this time but is a long way from her best and can be ruled out
- CALIMA DI POGGIO – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly 3rd of 13 to DADA DEL RONCO (6) in a 2875m Enghien Class D last week. On the back line but form is not in question and will not be going home empty-handed
- JUBLA VIKING – Unseen since being sanctioned in a Class D over course and distance in December and has nothing going for her here
- DAFNE DI POGGIO – Is significantly better than her 6th of 13 to DADA DEL RONCO (6) in a 2875m Enghien Class D last week would suggest. Just front shoes off this time, and breaks from back line, but with her mind on the game can play a leading role
Summary: Enjoying something of a renaissance since the start of the year, DADA DEL RONCO (6) may never have excelled over 2100m here but in current condition it is hard to see her being bested. Francois Lagadeuc will still be keeping a keen eye on a barefoot ISLAND CASH (7) who starts just to her outside, and good Italian import, DAFNE DI POGGIO (12), who has been reconfigured with every expectation of putting things right. DIABEL (1) returns to racing barefoot following her Enghien conditioner and has never disappointed with Eric Raffin reining.

- GAROU DU CHENE – 5th of 15 in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago despite some poor luck at the start and will have an important part to play if Paul Ploquin keeps him out of trouble
- INSTANT D’HAUFOR – Sanctioned in a 2625m Cherbourg Class D on 6 April. Won twice over track and trip late last year and with stride in check, can make a big splash
- FEUX VERTS – Last of 13 on re-entry in a 2400m Amiens Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Front pads fitted and not a concern
- ICARE DE PHYT’S – 4th of 18 to FEU DE REVOLTE (9) in a 2625m Cherbourg Class D earlier this month, on just 2nd start back. Showed his class under these conditions before Christmas and looks set to remind us
- IS MAGIC HAUFOR – Good 3rd of 14 in a Class D over track and trip on 22 March. Takes on the boys this time but can still hold her own
- HURRICANE CARTER – Fine trotter with an excellent strike rate and although unseen since coming 5th of 14, a place behind GRAND ROI KALOUMA (10), in a Class C over course and distance on New Year’s Day, and races shod, he is not to be underestimated
- HAUTBRION COLMI – 8th of 16 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class D 9 days ago. Finished in the money in last 2 under these conditions and must be afforded respect
- FEU DE REVOLTE – Sprang a 459/1 surprise when winning a 2625m Cherbourg Class D on 6 April but a repeat seems most unlikely
- GRAND ROI KALOUMA – Looked about to finish strongly before being sanctioned in a Class D under these conditions on 21 March. Has talent in spades and will have his chances if his driver keeps him trotting for all 2850m
- HERMES EXPRESS – Quality trotter that finished 10th of 16 behind GILBERTO (15) in a Class D over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Has form in good company but may just be taking on too much this time
- GAGNEUR – Returns to racing with front pads after finishing 11th of 16 behind GILBERTO (15) in a Class D over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Has merit but others still preferred
- FLASH DU BIWETZ – 5th of 10 in a 2700m monte Class C here 2 weeks ago. Here for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
- IQUEM D’AMER – 5th on re-entry before dominating a Class D over course and distance on 21 March. In a similar lot this time and has a realistic chance of confirming
- GILBERTO – Respectable 6th of 16 in a Class D over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Enjoys a good entry here and will have his supporters
- HOBBES – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class D last August and can be confidently disregarded
Summary: A Class C course-and-distance winner to close out last season, ICARE DE PHYT’S (5) has a pair of runs in him since the break and looks eminently capable of winning this. That said, IQUEM D’AMER (14) has won 7 of his last 8, 3 of them under these very conditions. GRAND ROI KALOUMA (10) has kept the stride police busy recently but his form is sure and Théo Duvaldestin will be eager to put things right, as will Damien Bonne who has been charged with the rehabilitation of INSTANT D’HAUFOR (3). GAROU DU CHENE (2) is on the way back up and has already had his way over track and trip.

LIDISBARN (4) has won his last two races convincingly and has an undeniable chance of reeling off the hat trick. He is a huge threat to the first selection. RED GRACE (7) was a winner of her penultimate start and followed up with a good run finishing 4th at Saint-Cloud. She has strong each way claims. USER KINDLY (2) showed last time that her run before was all wrong. Place chance.

Summary: MR L’APOTHICAIRE (10) has produced two solid efforts this calendar year and appears ready to notch up his maiden success. He sets the standard and could be hard to oppose with a touch of luck in running. CRIMSON TIDE (18) is a newcomer who won’t need to be special to make a winning debut and the booking of Christian Demuro is certainly eye catching. KAMAKURA ONE (15) has some fair flat form to her name and if producing some of her best efforts here, she should be in with a shout. SULTANE (17) ran a super race two starts back and a repeat performance should see her in with a chance.

STORMY TANGO (9) romped home to victory last time out and it would come as no surprise to see him go back to back. ROMANCE MARINE (8) finished just behind the top choice last time out and there isn’t much to choose between them and they should finish right on top of one another again.
