- MALDA DU RIB – Qualified in 1’19″7 here on 19 January. Out of a mare with decent monte aptitude and debuts with a respectable chance of getting in on the action
- MARQUISE CORMIER – Qualified in 1’20″1 under the saddle at Meslay-du-Maine 3 months ago but will need to show another side
- MESANGE DU RIB – Half-sister to the classy Hirondelle Du Rib. Qualified unexceptionally under harness here last September but will have a lot to offer if breeding counts for anything
- MIKASA DE JOUX – Qualified in 1’19″8 at Meslay-du-Maine last July. Takes on some good horses first time out and others preferred
- MILORD DAIRPET – Untried gelding that qualified in 1’19″0 at Laval last October. Market will guide
- MISTER DU BAS BOSQ – Qualified in a good 1’17”9 here in January. Entrusted to Paul Ploquin for the occasion and is unlikely to be far from the action
- MONETA – Qualified in 1’20″8 under harness here last July. Gets a pilot first time out but others still preferred
- MYTIC RENARDIER – Qualified in 1’20″2 under harness at Laval last July. Anthony Barrier in the saddle for career debut though and will generate some interest
- MAGICO DODVILLE – Distant 7th of 8 finishers in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 3 weeks ago and will have nothing to contribute
- MUST D’HERMES – Sanctioned in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 3 weeks ago, on first start under the saddle. Hails from a stable in good shape and will be dangerous if Oscar Placier keeps him focused
- MEC D’ERLANGER – Switches code after finishing last of 5 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche a month ago but is unlikely to be troubling the judge
- MAMAMIA DE MAKHI – Last but one behind MADISON APPLE (14) on debut in a Class F over course and distance on 26 March and quite simply has too much ground to make up
- MAGICVEGA – Flattering on debut before being sanctioned in a 2025m Class G at Paray-le-Monial 3 weeks ago and makes her ridden debut with limited prospects
- MADISON APPLE – Never pushed when 3rd of 11 on debut in a Class F over course and distance on 26 March. Will have progressed over the month and is capable of wrapping this up
- MAJUSCULE – Tricky filly that produced career-best result mid-month when 3rd of 10 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche and can play a small role if she deigns to keep trotting

Summary: MADISON APPLE (14) left a good impression on her career debut here a month back, will have come on for the run, and looks thoroughly capable of getting off the mark. That said, the beautifully-bred MESANGE DU RIB (3) takes to the track for the first time and could get straight down to business. MISS DE COQUERIE (16) lost her maiden tag just over a month ago and must be respected. MUST D’HERMES (10) gets another crack at it after his Saint-Malo sanction and will be expected to make amends.

- JADE FOR EVER – Made short work of a 2500m Reims Class F on 16 April. Is not one to be underestimated when barefoot and has already won for Maxence Lecoq. Claim
- JOHANA DU GUESCLIN – Defied his 40/1 to run 5th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class E 8 days ago. Goes barefoot again and from the 5-spot will be expected to play a prominent role

- JAYZI DU BOURG – Encouraged at La Capelle before being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class E 8 days ago. Not ideally-drawn and with just front pads fitted will have little to offer
- JOKO DE LOU – 2nd at Chateaubriant before running 5th of 14 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F early last month. Has ground to make up but still looks competitive for a first-5 cheque
- JERSEY ROYALE – 2nd of 11, at 73/1, in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F in early-March but a repeat seems most improbable
- JERSEY STYLE – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2050m Laval Class E last September and is not about to spice things up
- JOLYA DE POMMERAYE – 7th of 11 finishers on re-entry in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 7 April. Is no slouch on a good day but would be preferred barefoot
- JOLIE CLAIRE – Makes first appearance since coming 2nd of 13 in a 2600m Saint-Galmier Class F last November and will not be influencing the outcome
- JEWELKIM – Continued his good run of form when 3rd of 18 in a 2725m Lisieux Class D a month ago, but races shod this time and best to hold off
Summary: A fine campaigner when barefoot and focused, JADE FOR EVER (4) easily sealed the deal at Reims 10 days ago and, already a winner under these conditions, is ideally-placed to confirm. Plainly close to her best, JOHANA DU GUESCLIN (5) starts upsides and will be no pushover. JIM CADE (1) is forced to start on the rail but has done nothing but improve lately and looks a major player. Just to his outer, JENKA DE MORMOULIN (2) will have a lot to contribute if she deigns to stay in stride.

C3 – PRIX DE MESLAY – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 24,000 - KYRA D’ECOUVES – Looked very ordinary when last but one in a 2725m Graignes harness Class E 2 weeks ago and returns to the code with little or nothing to offer
- KEZIAH DE NAPPES – Sanctioned in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F a fortnight ago. Has done nothing of note for some time and is not about to start now
- KATANGA DE L’ITON – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2800m Vire Class F last Sunday. Hind shoes back on and although not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- KANTIQUE DELO – Sanctioned in all 4 starts following a lengthy hiatus, most recently a 2725m Lisieux Class F mid-March, and others easier to trust
- KIRA DE CHARENCEY – Unseen since running 7th of 9 finishers in a 2800m Vire Class F last November. Barefoot for ridden debut but still not a concern
- KEEP IT COOL – Last but one on re-entry in a 3575m harness Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen 3 weeks ago but is simply not up to the task
- KELLE MAJYC – 12th of 16 on re-entry in a 2875m Meslay harness Class F mid-March. Barefoot for just 2nd time under the saddle and from the front line can play a prominent role
- KITTY GIS – Last of 11, a place behind KYRA D’ECOUVES (1), in a 2725m Graignes harness Class E 2 weeks ago and debuts barefoot under the saddle with nothing to contribute
- KADILLAC – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F on 19 February. Has had ample time to recalibrate and, barefoot this time, can get back in the game
- KLASSIC MUSIC – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2175m Ranes harness Class F last Monday. Well-in on front line and can pick up some prizemoney
- KALEA DREAM – Showed moderate improvement when 6th of 12 finishers in a 2725m Lisieux Class D a month back but others still easier to like
- KAWASAKI ERA – Honest mare that ran 3rd of 11 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F 10 days ago. Takes on some good horses, and incurs the penalty, but is unlikely to be far off the mark. Place chance
- KENENISA SKILL – 2nd of 16 in a 3125m Angers Class E on 10 April. Has not put a foot wrong this term and Mathieu Mottier will be justifiably confident of a big run
- KATCHINA FOR CLARA – Starts for first time since coming 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D late-November. Never far from faulting but has ample ability and can finish close if Adrien Lamy keeps her focused
- KRISTALE D’ERABLE – Returns to a track she appreciates after running 5th of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last Tuesday. Enjoys a good entry, has been freshly-reconfigured, and backs up with a realistic chance of making first 5
Summary: Back at the top of her game this year, KENENISA SKILL (13) makes her first Caen appearance, and starts on the back row, but in present form is very easy to like for the win. Mathieu Mottier will still be keeping an eye on the tricky but talented KATCHINA FOR CLARA (14) who is barefoot for comeback, and a reconfigured KAWASAKI ERA (12) who appears to be close to her race. Back in a code she has shown decent aptitude for, and barefoot for the occasion, KELLE MAJYC (7) is 25m better off and Antoine Voisin will be eager to take advantage.

C4 – PRIX DE CARPIQUET – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - MANZANA ERA – Qualified in 1’19″3 here in May 2024. Faces some experienced horses first time out but is worth monitoring all the same
- MIYAH SALLELOISE – Qualified in 1’18″8 at Meslay-du-Maine last August. Has been afforded ample time to come into herself and can make a big impact at the first time of asking
- MADAME DE PLAY – Unraced since being sanctioned on debut in a 2800m Vire Class F 3 months ago and will have nothing to bring to the party
- MAESTRO TEJY – Quickly sanctioned in a 2200m Pontchateau Class E 10 days ago and must get his house in order
- MARVELOUS PIYA – Returns to the provinces after finishing 8th of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 21 March. Mathieu Mottier stays faithful but still not a priority
- MASCARET DEFF – Sanctioned in both starts to date, latterly a 2750m Ecommoy Class F last Sunday, and others easier to trust
- MOLIERE SAUTONNE – 3rd of 12, on debut, in a 2200m Tours Class F 2 weeks ago. Is sure to have come on and Matthieu Abrivard will be confident he can take the step up in category in his stride
- MOON WALKER – Put a pair of sanctions behind him to run 2nd of 12 in a similar event here on 13 March. Beaten only by a good horse that day and merits considerable respect
- MAJOR DE CHOC – Winner of a 2750m Elbeuf Class G on debut 2 weeks ago. Faces a better bunch this time but still warrants retaining
- MAZEPPA DU VIVIER – Made short work of a 2500m Class G at Bihorel-lès-Rouen 3 weeks ago, first time out. Has earned the right to race at this level and has every chance of repeating
- MAGICIEN LUDOIS – Made no bones about opening his account in a 2200m Tours Class F on 13 April. Alexandre Abrivard at the helm once again and a repeat would be no surprise
- MY QUEEN DELO – Raced better in a Class E over course and distance late last month than her 7th of 14 would suggest. Is not about to get her nose in front but has the wherewithal to make first 5
Summary: Brilliant winner on debut earlier this month, MAZEPPA DU VIVIER (10) takes a significant step up in category but will have a realistic chance of maintaining his perfect status if he replicates that performance. Yoann Lebourgeois will still be paying significant attention to MIYAH SALLELOISE (2) who will have progressed since qualifying nicely last season, and MAGICIEN LUDOIS (11) who got straight down to business at Tours first time out. Third at the same venue that day, on his own debut, MOLIERE SAUTONNE (7) will have progressed for the run and should again prove competitive for a place in the frame.

C5 – PRIX DE BOLBEC – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 24,000 - KENZO FAMILY – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 12 in a 2850m Mauquenchy harness Class F last November and makes his monte debut on a prayer
- KALIMERO VICI – Has failed to finish a race unscathed for past year, most recently sanctioned in a 3000m Nantes Class F on 18 February. Fitted with a fresh configuration but still has no possible chance
- KOPS GEDE – Flattering 5th of 11 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F 10 days ago, and can be passed over
- KENZO D’HUCHELOUP – Pulled-up on re-entry in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F a fortnight ago. Hind shoes off but still not a concern
- KENAVO CHANTEREINE – Surprise 6th of 10 finishers in a 3125m Angers Class E on 10 April and a repeat seems somewhat unlikely
- KIMAKO VERDERIE – Disappointing on the whole for some time, latterly sanctioned in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 3 weeks ago, and will have few friends
- KANOIS DE LATOUR – Sanctioned in a 2800m Vire Class F last Sunday, on first start since July. Won twice under the saddle this time last year and should not be ruled out
- KALYPSO – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 3000m Chateaubriant harness Class F early-January and makes monte debut with nothing to offer
- KEEP IT TOGETHER – Sanctioned in both since returning from his break, most recently a 2800m Vire Class F last Sunday, and even though sporting a new configuration, is not about to cause an upset
- KARL LEWIS – Failed to confirm Bihorel performance when 7th of 11 finishers in a 2800m Vire Class F last weekend and will have few takers
- KARAMAZOV – Came a reassuring 4th of 15 in a 2875m Argentan Class E mid-month. Starts in front again and, if applied, can pick up a minor place cheque
- KASH GAGOU – Unraced since running 2nd of 15 in a harness Class F over course and distance last November. Enjoys an excellent entry on front line though and will be barefoot for the occasion

- KITO TURGOT – Switches back to the ridden discipline after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class D 3 weeks ago. Not easy to manage but must still be taken seriously
- KENOBI D’HERFRAIE – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2875m Class D at Meslay-du-Maine on 18 March. Regularly a case of all-or-nothing and can win this if he keeps trotting
- KING EVOLUTION – Back under the saddle after running 5th of 11 in a 2800m Pontchateau harness Class E in early-March. Just hind shoes off this time and with Mathieu Mottier aboard can make this his own
Summary: KING EVOLUTION (17) may not have convinced under the saddle early in his career but he has been reconfigured, his form is sure, and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons, looks a serious proposition. Reliability may not be his strong suit but KENOBI D’HERFRAIE (16) has won twice here and Adrien Lamy is back in the saddle. Similarly difficult, KINGALO DU CHENE (13) encouraged at Reims last month and races barefoot for the first time. Back in the code after having shown potential late last year, KITO TURGOT (15) races shod and will be expected to play an active role.

C6 – PRIX DE SAINT-MANVIEU – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LIBRE SAUTONNE – Made amends for course-and-distance sanction when courageous 2nd of 14 in a 2450m Class E here in late-March. Is barefoot for the occasion and can bring home the bacon if she stays in stride
- LISAS – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle 3 weeks ago. Won her only clockwise start and races with hind shoes off for first time. One to watch
- LIBELLA DU HOULBET – Surprise 4th of 14 in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a month ago. Will not be sent out at 174/1 this time but cannot be considered a priority either
- LA DIVA DU WALLON – Somewhat flattering 4th of 14 in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a month back. Enjoys a good draw, and will generate some interest, but is not about to set off any fireworks
- LIBERTE CERISE – Ran good 3rd of 18 over course and distance on 20 March. Unlikely to get her nose in front but a similar performance would see her go close once more
- LIKE A PRAYER – Easy winner of a 2400m Amiens Class F on 7 April. Takes on a better lot this time but starts in front and will be expected to contest the finish
- LA BELLE JAMINI – Ran 3rd over track and trip in early-March but failed to confirm when sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E on 13 April. Starts wide and others preferred
- LA STAR – 6th of 16, on just 2nd start back, in a 2350m Angers Class E on 10 April. Will be fully-fit by now and even though handed a tough number, she races barefoot and may well show another side. Attention

- LUARIA – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 2450m monte Class F here on 17 March, and is not about to cause an upset
- L’ULKA DI LEONE – Sanctioned, but raced respectably thereafter, in a 2800m Chartres Class F a fortnight ago. Has ability but may just be taking on too much this time
- LOVESTORY DU YUCCA – Handy filly making first appearance since coming 4th of 16 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last December. Starts on back row and will not be given a hard race
- LASKA ANGELE – Has taken her game up a notch this term, latterly winning a 2650m Bordeaux Class F on 14 April. Pitted against better this time and breaks from 2nd row, but still looks competitive for a slice of the pie
- LADY DU CEDRE – Sanctioned on return to competition 2 weeks ago in a 2725m Graignes Class E. Front shoes off this time but cannot be considered a player
Summary: Although seldom far from faulting, LIBRE SAUTONNE (1) has shown considerable aptitude so far and even though forced to start on the rail, she can nevertheless impose her will provided she gets off on the right foot. LA STAR (8) starts wide but has a brace of runs in her and, barefoot with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, is unlikely to go down without a fight. Better-placed behind the car, LIBERTE CERISE (5) caught the eye under these conditions last month and will not be available at 61/1 this time around. LIKE A PRAYER (6) has taken particularly well to racing barefoot and Tony Le Beller will be determined to confirm her Amiens performance.

- LEONARD DE VINCI – Showed early promise but has since lost his way, latterly sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E a fortnight ago. Handed a good draw, sports a new formula, but others still preferred
- LUTIN DE LA FYE – Defied his 106/1 to come 3rd of 14 in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle, on comeback, 3 weeks ago. Wonderfully-engaged here, competitively-shod, and is reunited with Benjamin Rochard
- L’ESPOIR DE KYRN – Unraced since finishing 8th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E last November. Has merit though, runs barefoot for the occasion and deserves to be considered a player
- LUXOR D’AUVILLIER – 5th of 11 in a 2825m Cordemais Class E late last month. Always gives his best and from the 6-spot can make his presence felt
- LAMBO DE LEAU – 9th of 13 behind LONDON EYE (8) in a 2725m Graignes Class E conditioner 2 weeks ago. Is proven at Caen and again has a lot going for him here. Chance
- LONDON EYE – 3rd over track and trip last month before coming 5th of 13 in a 2725m Graignes Class E conditioner 2 weeks ago. Mathieu Mottier gets the nod this time and has every chance of opening his 2025 account
- LE MIRACLE – 5th of 8 finishers when preparing for this in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a month ago. Shod to preference this time and the choice of driver speaks volumes
- LUPIN DU RIB – Won barefoot at Graignes before running 9th of 17 in a 2875m Argentan Class E earlier in the month. Shoes on and no threat
- LOEK DE REUX – 2nd of 11, at 29/1, in a 2500m Reims Class F 10 days ago. Handed a tough draw but Paul Ploquin maintains faith and can pick up another cheque
- LITCHI – Makes first start since running 6th of 12 in a 2700m Graignes Class F in December and will have few friends in the markets
- LEGASSOV – Placed in 3 straight before finishing last but one behind LE MIRACLE (9) in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a month back. Not a priority but is better than that run would suggest
- LE ROI DES BRIERES – Never dangerous 6th of 16 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F on 17 March. Returns to racing with shoes and the draw will do him no favours
- LUCKY ROSE – Runner-up on first start for new trainer before winning a 2400m Amiens Class F on 7 April. Unlikely to repeat but should still be able to finish in the mix
- LORFEVRE DU VINOIS – 10th of 17, a place behind LUPIN DU RIB (10), in a 2875m Argentan Class E earlier in the month. Is still in conditioning-mode and best to wait
- LAGON D’ORIENT – Made pleasant re-entry at Saint-Malo before being sanctioned in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Monday. Pulled a shocking draw and others easier to back
Summary: Runner-up under these conditions last year when sporting pads, LAMBO DE LEAU (7) has a pair of runs under his belt since the long layoff, races first-time barefoot, and simply excels with Yoann Lebourgeois. They will still face significant resistance from the widely-drawn but competitively-configured LONDON EYE (8) who left a fine impression here last month, and the better-positioned LUTIN DE LA FYE (4) who sports modified shoeing after making an excellent comeback earlier in the month. LE MIRACLE (9) has been handed the 9-spot but goes unshod-behind and will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard.

- KYMJO DE BELFOND – Sanctioned in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Monday. Tends to go well for Matthieu Abrivard, sports front pads this time, and will have his supporters
- KISSES ROYALE – Last of 9 on re-entry in a 2825m Chartres Class E a fortnight ago. Looks to need another run but is a capable mare, races barefoot, and should not be overlooked
- KIWI DE BAFFAIS – Won over 2200m here before finishing last of 8 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E 2 weeks ago and can expect to be found wanting
- KARAT DEFF – Produced a pair of fine Caen efforts before faulting early in a 2175m Vincennes Class E a fortnight ago, but can more than make amends if David Thomain gets him off on the right foot
- KALY D’EOLE – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class D last November and will have nothing to contribute

- KANGOUROU – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2875m Enghien claimer 9 days ago and is not about to spring any surprises
- KARRINGTON – Makes Caen debut after securing a 3125m Angers monte Class E on 10 April. Is plainly in rude health and has every chance of bring his win-rate up to 50 percent
- KOMMUNES DE PLAY – Last of 13 finishers in a 2725m Lisieux Class E a month back. Has been a write-off for some time and is not about to change her ways
- KAMIKAZE – Back under harness after coming 5th of 15 in a 2875m Argentan monte Class E 12 days ago and is unlikely to influence the result
- KENNEDY STREET – Pulled-up in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E last Sunday. Benefits from a superb entry and, competitively-shod, could pleasantly surprise
Summary: Winner of 2 of his last 3 starts, most recently under the saddle, KARRINGTON (13) simply excels with his trainer and returns to the harness code with a legitimate claim on the prize. They will still encounter opposition from a barefoot KRACK DESBOIS (11) who has yet to disappoint at Caen, and the slightly trickier KARAT DEFF (6) who imposed over course and distance just over a month ago. KATHLEEN D’ECOTAY (8) would have finished in the money at Reims had she not faulted and Paul Ploquin will be determined to set the record straight.

- DJHANSY – Eighth last time in a conditions race at Chantilly over 1900m on 23 November. Back from a break and switching to turf—could surprise
- VENTOSILLA – Below par when 13th in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 2500m on 27 October. May need the run but can pick up minor money
Summary: JUST JIM (2) was a good winner of his first two starts. His comeback run was only modest, but he will strip fitter this time and can bounce back to score. THE TOP GATSBY (3) also looked in need of her only run this year. She had been very good on the PSF prior to that, but has also won some nice races on the grass and would not be a surprise winner. ALWAYS WELCOME (1) is better than his last run suggests and is a danger. RAIMONDIN (4) is coming off two very good wins on the PSF and can complete the hat-trick if fit from a break.

Summary: FLASH MAN (5) is improving and ran a decent race in a handicap at Saint-Cloud last time out over a similar distance. He should make a bold bid to beat these rivals. That Lyon-La Soie victory suggested more wins are in the tank, though this will be his first outing on turf. TAUBEK (3) impressed at Montluçon-Néris-les-Bains, and it will be interesting to see if he can follow up at this track. Summary: SHADE (3) has been only modest of late, but that has allowed him to run off a mark he’s been successful off before—and that win came at this track. He could be the right one in this lucky last. GRIGNETTE (2) has been performing well on the PSF recently but will need to prove she can replicate that form on turf. CHILLI PRINCESS (11) returns from a lengthy break but could still be a threat. SHAMYA (7) wasn’t disgraced in a claimer last time and is another who could shine.
