R1 CAEN [R-H]
C1 – PRIX ACTU.FR (PRIX DE LA TOUQUES) – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 31,000
- MADE IN MARETTES – 5th of 8 to MELOMANE DE LOU (3) in a 2800m Cholet Class D late last month. Starts on the rail and is simply taking on too much
- MISTRAL CASTELLE – 5th of 12 on re-entry in a 2175m Vincennes Class B a month ago. Will have progressed for the race and from the 2-spot can play a role
- MELOMANE DE LOU – Made it 3 wins from 4 starts when securing a 2800m Cholet Class D late last month. Beat a very good colt that day and makes his Caen debut with a realistic chance of making the frame
- MORE AND MORE – In the frame in 3 before running 5th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class A late last month. Has a lot going for him here and Benjamin Rochard can be confident of a big run
- MAJYC FLIGHT – Has done nothing but improve this term, most recently winning a 2325m Toulouse Class B with ease a month ago. Is new to Caen but enjoys a good draw and will be competitive for a place cheque
- MANHATTAN RAIN – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2175m Vincennes Class B late-March. Not devoid of ability but must first re-establish her credentials
- MAESTRIA GALAA – Sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class B on 28 March. Showed considerable potential last season and returning to racing right-handed may be just the ticket
- MISTER FOURCADE – Back under harness after finishing 7th of 8 in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class A 2.5 weeks ago and would be preferred a level down
- MEURSAULT – Missed out on the hat-trick when 2nd of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 1 April. Comes here fresh and despite the draw has every chance of winning this
- MELKIOR CASTELLE – Made amends for Toulouse sanction when 3rd of 10, a place behind MORE AND MORE (4), in a 2875m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago, but may find repeating a tough task
- MAJOR CHANTEREINE – Steps up in category after winning a 2450m Castillones Class D a fortnight ago. Handed a tough draw though and in this company will have limited prospects
Summary: Twice a winner over course and distance before running 2nd in Paris, MEURSAULT (9) has every chance of maintaining his unbeaten Caen record. David Thomain will still want to be wary of the significantly better-positioned MORE AND MORE (4) who takes a notable dip in category, and the in-form MELOMANE DE LOU (3) who starts just to her inside. MAESTRIA GALAA (7) is a complicated filly but has bags of ability and is proven at the venue.

C2 – PRIX OUEST FRANCE (PRIX DE CAMBREMER) – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 27,000 - HENRY DE TROUVILLE – 10th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes claimer mid-April but is a modest trotter with no possible chance
- IDAHI DE HOUELLE – Capable mare making first appearance since running 5th of 13 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last December and is going to need the run
- IDEAL DE SASSY – Considerably better than his 7th of 16 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F on 21 April would suggest. Tends to go well at Caen and, considering the draw, is easy to like
- IRIS DU PERCHE – Ran 3rd at Laval before coming 5th of 13 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E on 21 April. Barefoot this time and from the 4-spot has a realistic chance of making first 5
- IMAIL DE CARSI – Back under harness after being sanctioned in a 2950m Vichy monte Class F last Monday. Imposed under the saddle here in March and will be no pushover if applied
- HEMILIO PIERJI – 8th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class F 10 days ago. Has looked very ordinary over recent months and is unlikely to shake things up
- HAJIME – Has excelled so far this year, latterly winning a 2400m Marseille-Borely class F a fortnight ago. Pleased on lone start at the venue and does not make the long trip to see the sights. Place chance
- ILTON CASH – Kept the victory train rolling when easily securing a 2575m Agen Class F early last month. Comes here fresh and despite a wide draw can nevertheless wrap this up
- ADAMO DIPA – 10th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Has done nothing of note since last July and can be passed over
- ROBTHEBANK – Handy type making first start south of the nordics after coming 8th of 9 over 2640m on 13 April. Unlikely to spring a surprise but will be barefoot and worth monitoring
- CALIMA DI POGGIO – In the frame in 3 of last 4, most recently 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 25 April. Handed a tough draw, has never raced here, but has the quality to figure prominently
- GLOBAL ATTENTION – 12th of 14 on re-entry in a 2650m Hyeres Class F a month ago and is unlikely to trouble the judge
- CAPITANO (GER) – Takes a notable step up in category after coming 3rd of 11 over 2000m in Gelsenkirchen on 27 March and already looks out of his depth
- OBLIVION – Produced 2 excellent runs before being sanctioned in a 2525m Cavaillon Class D a month back. Is behind in earnings and on good behaviour could win this
Summary: Back at the top of his game this year with 4 straight successes, ILTON CASH (8) has yet to make his mark at Caen but that looks set to become a thing of the past. Taking him on, and not particularly well-drawn either, OBLIVION (14) is enjoying something of a renaissance and, with application, will be dangerous. Rewarded with a well-deserved victory late last month, HAJIME (7) starts in front and receives a Mathieu Mottier drive for the occasion. IDEAL DE SASSY (3) has pulled a good number, will be shod to preference, and is very much at home here.

C3 – PRIX PIERRE GAMARE – ETRIER 3 ANS Q5 – 2450m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - MY BLACK CADENCE – 4th of 10 to MISS DES BESACES (8) in a 2700m Vincennes Class A 2.5 weeks ago, on first start since the spell. Will have progressed for the run but still has ground to make up
- MAESTRO JAMINI – Debuts under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class A late last month and will not be causing an upset
- MIRATISSIME – Debuts under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class A 8 days ago and others easier to trust
- MANITAS DE TRUCHON – 4th in Gr.2 Prix Ali Hawas before repeating in Prix Hemine on 12 April. Not a priority but can still get a look-in
- MENTALIST AR – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 8 behind MESSI PASS (10) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Gai Brillant at Vincennes on 12 April. Will not be available at 65/1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
- MANTLER DE SIMM – Won first 2 monte starts before coming 2nd of 10 to MISS DES BESACES (8) in a 2700m Vincennes Class A 2.5 weeks ago.Faces a better lot this time but deserves to take his place here and can go close
- MALICE CAILLERIE – Put a brace of Gr.2 sanctions behind her to come 3rd of 10 to MISS DES BESACES (8) in a 2700m Vincennes Class A 2.5 weeks ago. Goes well for Mathieu Mottier and will be expected to finish in the mix
- MISS DES BESACES – Sprang something of a surprise when easily winning a 2700m Vincennes Class A 2.5 weeks ago although a repeat seems improbable
- MHUM FLYNG – 3rd in Gr.2 Prix Félicien Gauvreau before faulting in Gr.2 Prix Gail Brillant a month back. Will however have his chances if he takes to the Caen profile
- MESSI PASS – 2nd in Gr.2 Prix Félicien Gauvreau before running 3rd in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Gai Brillant at Vincennes a month back. Is not about to open his black-type account but can still challenge for a spot on the podium
- MADEMOISELLE JANE – 3rd of 8 finishers to MISTY GREEN (12) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Hemine at Vincennes on 12 April. Has gone from strength to strength this term and is not about to disappoint. Chance
- MISTY GREEN – Tenacious winner of a 2175m Gr.2 here a month back. Takes on the colts this time but has buckets of ability and again looks the horse to beat
Summary: Even better since switching codes, MISTY GREEN (12) put in quite the performance to win the Gr.2 Prix Hemine here last month and even against the colts, looks the one to beat. In fact, her main rival is none other than MADEMOISELLE JANE (11) who ran 3rd that day. MANTLER DE SIMM (6) has been progressing nicely and steps up in class with a good hand to play. In the frame in both starts at this level, MESSI PASS (10) looks the sort that can do well at Caen.

C4 – PRIX GEORGES DREUX – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - CHERRY TOP – 9th of 15 behind JINGLE DU PONT (9) in a 2100m Vincennes Class C in early-April. Raced better that day than the result would suggest and, already a winner here, can confirm
- FELICITA D’ECOUVES – 6th of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class D on 24 April. Appreciates Caen, is barefoot for the occasion, but others still preferred
- GIANT MADRIK – Useful trotter but has not been seen out since running 3rd of 14 in a 2950m Vichy Class D last August and is going to need the run
- HALO AM – Serious sort that ran good 2nd on comeback in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 2 May. Not once out of first 2 in last 8 starts and will be expected to continue his fruitful run of form
- HELP ME WIN – Starts for first time since running 11th of 17 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class D last December and with shoes on can be passed over
- CANTO DEI VENTI – Won over 2700m before coming 8th of 15, a place behind JINGLE DU PONT (9), in a 2100m Vincennes Class C in early-April. Has a ton of experience in this category and must be taken seriously
- JANZIBAR – Won 2 in a row before running 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Maure Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Would be preferred barefoot though
- HOVE PONT VAUTIER – Easy winner of a 2800m Pontchateau Class D on 16 April. Appreciates Caen conditions and is unlikely to be far from the action
- JINGLE DU PONT – 2nd to HOVE PONT VAUTIER (8) at Pontchateau before finishing 7th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a week ago. Boasts solid references in superior company and must not be underestimated
- HERALDIQUE – Unraced since finishing 9th of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class B late-January. Enjoys fine Caen credentials, races first-time barefoot, and should not be written off
- IMPERATOR D’ELA – 3rd of 16 in a 2500m Tours Class A on 13 April but with shoes back on will have nothing to contribute
- JUNE – 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 12 April. Sports pads this time though and not an obvious choice
- INSHOT JOSSELYN – Sports modified shoeing after running 5th of 16 behind IMPERATOR D’ELA (11) in a 3500m Tours Class A on 13 April. Placed in 1 of 2 here and must be respected
- GORDON MIJACK – Unlucky to be sanctioned in a 2550m Reims Gr.3 a month back. Is clearly in excellent shape and can pick up a cheque on Caen debut
- DANGER BI – Sanctioned in 3 before finishing last of 10 behind JUNE (12) in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a month ago. Should take well to Caen conditions though and, if focused, can go close
- HELIOS SI – 5th of 14, at 77/1, in a 2550m Reims Gr.3 a month back. Unlikely to repeat but will generate more interest this time around
Summary: With three runs under his belt since the winter break, CHERRY TOP (1) returns full fit to the provinces and, winner of his only Caen start, is easy to like for a repeat. A model of consistency for the most part, HALO AM (4) gave a fine account of himself on his recent re-entry, is reconfigured for the occasion, and also unbeaten at Caen. Nicely-engaged toward the limit of earnings, DANGER BI (15) has been struggling in Paris this year but nevertheless has the quality to play a leading role if applied. CANTO DEI VENTI (6) mixes the good with the less good but has nothing to prove at this level. Yet to disappoint here, and latterly successful racing left-handed, HOVE PONT VAUTIER (8) should put on another good show.

C5 – PRIX HENRI BALLIERE – ETRIER 4 ANS Q2 – 2450m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - LA SEGNORA PIYA – Sanctioned in both since the spell, latterly a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago, and is not easy to recommend
- LITTLELOU MATIDY – Returned to winning ways mid-April when easily securing a 2800m Pontchateau Class F but in this company has no possible chance
- LUTECIA ELLIS – Last of 8 when preparing for this in a 2550m Beaumont harness Class C 3 weeks ago. Has never disappointed in the code and despite the hike in class, could well get a look-in
- LOLA DAIRPET – Sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago and in current condition will struggle to make her presence felt
- LAREINE D’OURVILLE – Has been showing the limits of her capacity lately, most recently 6th of 8 finishers to LOUISIANE DES VAUX (7) in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago, and can be ruled out
- LOLITA TURGOT – Last of 7 finishers behind LITTLE ORELIE (15) in a 2175m Vincennes Gr.2 late last month and can be confidently disregarded
- LOUISIANE DES VAUX – Picked up 2.5 weeks ago where she left off before the spell, dominating a 2700m Vincennes Class C. Is new to Caen, and the category, but still looks a serious proposition
- LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly 25 April race of reference. Sports a revised formula, has never disappointed at Caen, but still no more than a minor place chance
- LOCHAN – Has looked ordinary since running 4th in Gr.1 Saint-Léger des Trotteurs last October, most recently sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes harness Gr.3 last weekend, and will have few takers
- LIBERTINE DJOB – Last of 7 finishers behind LITTLE ORELIE (15) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart at Vincennes on 25 April. Has done little of note for some time though and chances appear limited
- LAMBADA DU GOUTIER – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.2 three months ago. Has talent to burn and, with stride in check, is unlikely to disappoint
- LARA DU LERRE – 4th of 7 finishers behind LITTLE ORELIE (15) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart at Vincennes on 25 April. Has not put a foot wrong since late-November and with shoes off this time will be no easy touch
- LARGO DE CASTELLE – 6th of 9 in a 2875m Enghien harness Gr.2 3 weeks ago. Is no slouch on a good day, has imposed under harness here, and must be taken seriously
- LUCKY JACKSON – Complicated colt that ran 3rd of 7 finishers, a place behind LITTLE ORELIE (15), in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart at Vincennes on 25 April. Is never far from faulting but on good behaviour will not be far off the mark
- LITTLE ORELIE – Classy filly that ran 2nd of 7 finishers in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart at Vincennes on 25 April. Will have come on for the run and it is difficult to envisage here being beaten
Summary: For good reason the richest horse in the field, LITTLE ORELIE (15) won the Saint-Leger des Trotteurs here last season, has yet to be bested at the venue and, shod to preference, should have this in the bag. A serious future prospect, LOUISIANE DES VAUX (7) takes to the provinces for the first time after having won 4 straight in Paris and, sporting a new configuration, looks the main threat. Runner-up in last season’s Saint-Leger, LAMBADA DU GOUTIER (11) has struggled with stride woes but has been afforded time to recalibrate and racing shod may well be key to her redemption. LARGO DE CASTELLE (13) debuts in the discipline but has held his own in good harness company and Alexis Collette will be eager to prove the colt’s ridden potential.

C6 – PRIX DES DUCS DE NORMANDIE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 Race – Harness – EUR € 150,000 - IDOLE OF LOVE – 8th of 16 in a 2950m Vichy Class D last Monday. Has other priorities and can be ruled out
- COQUAHOLY – Has failed to make his mark here this term, most recently 6th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class A 2 months ago, and is unlikely to generate much interest
- KSAR – Sanctioned in 2 since running 3rd in Gr.1 Prix de Séléction, latterly a 2850m Vincennes Gr.2 last weekend, but will not be far off the mark if Robin Lamy manages to keep him focused
- IGUSKI SAUTONNE – Sprang quite the surprise when dominating 2150m Gr.1 Prix de l’Atlantique at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Matthieu Abrivard has made the point and entertains a decent chance of cementing it
- JEROBOAM D’ERABLE – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes monte Gr.1 mid-December and will not be influencing the outcome
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – 11th of 12 in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Gr.3 when being prepared for this 2.5 weeks ago. Barefoot this time with Eric Raffin reining and looks a respectable first-5 chance
- INO DU LUPIN – Made a winning comeback early-April when comfortably winning a 3100m Angers Gr.3. Seldom seen in this class but in present shape is easy to like for a step on the podium
- FACE TIME – Left a good impression when dead-heating for 2nd with EMERAUDE DE BAIS (11) in 2700m Gr.2 Prix Kerjacques at Vincennes on 5 April. Seldom disappoints at Caen and is not about to buck the trend. Place chance
- IT’S A DOLLARMAKER – Disappointing on the whole this year, latterly 7th of 11 behind FACE TIME (8) in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.3 on 22 March. Boasts fine right-handed references and debuts at Caen with a reasonable chance of picking up a cheque
- JEAN BALTHAZAR – Classy type that dominated a 2200m Vincennes monte Gr.1 in early-March. Here for reasons of conditioning and will have little to offer
- EMERAUDE DE BAIS – 5th of 8 finishers to IGUSKI SAUTONNE (4) in 2150m Gr.1 Prix de l’Atlantique at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Has never delivered here but is a quality mare with good speed and is not to be underestimated
- HOHNECK – Oddly below-par last of 8 in 2150m Gr.1 Prix de l’Atlantique at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Is by some margin the classiest horse here however and will be expected to bounce back and win this
Summary: More than twice as wealthy as his nearest rival here, HOHNECK (12) won this race in 2023 before running 4th 12 months ago, and in the day’s configuration will be a tough nut to crack. Leading the opposition, IGUSKI SAUTONNE (4) was superb in the Prix de l’Atlantique at Enghien and will not be sent out at 30/1 this time. Convincing winner of an Angers Gr.3 early last month, INO DU LUPIN (7) steps up in category but should appreciate these conditions and must not be underestimated. FACE TIME (8) is clearly close to his race and has won 3 of his last 4 here.

C7 – PRIX DU CALVADOS – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Mounted – EUR € 45,000 - FERRERO DU LOISIR – Disappointing in last 2, latterly 11th of 16 in a 2950m Vichy harness Class D last Monday and backs up with limited prospects
- DOWHATYOUDODOWELL – Back in the discipline after coming 6th of 16 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 8 days ago. Reverts to a previous configuration and while not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- FLOPY RUSH – Last of 12 in a 2850m Maure harness Gr.3 on 23 April. Has merit but disappointing of late and must get his house in order
- FLASH DU BIWETZ – Last of 12 when prepping for this in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 2 weeks ago but in this field will struggle to make his mark
- GLADIATOR BOY – Surprise 3rd of 13 in a 2875m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago and, if truly back on the right road, will have every chance of making first 5
- HUGO OCCAGNES – Drops back to a more reasonable level after finishing last but one in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.3 a week ago but still seems to have too much to do
- FUTUR DU CHENE – Switches code after running 6th of 8 in a 2950m Toulouse harness Class C last Sunday and is not about to shake things up
- GUAPO MARBOULA – Never the easiest to handle but ran 3rd of 11 in a 2850m Maure Class D 2.5 weeks ago and in similar shape is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- EMOI SPECIAL – Makes first public appearance under the saddle after running last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago and can be confidently passed over
- FALCON D’ESPACE – Pleased under harness prior to running 6th of 10 behind HUGO OCCAGNES (6) in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a month back. Appreciates these particular conditions and can finish close
- GILMOUR – Disappointing 10th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien harness Class C 3 weeks ago. Has form in the day’s configuration but has made no impact under the saddle since 2019 and cannot be considered a concern
- JAZZ IN MONTREUX – Sanctioned early when preparing for this in a 2850m Vincennes harness Class A 3 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove in this category and with application will be hard to oppose
- FLEURON D’ACADIE – 3rd under the saddle at Enghien before being sanctioned in a 2525m Cavaillon harness Class B a month ago. Not the most reliable horse here but is never far from surprising
- HERADAMES – 7th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class B on 12 April. Unseen in the code since 2023 but has solid references in good company and is not incapable of making the frame
- GABRIELLA DUEM – Gave a reassuringly good account at Cholet late last month when easy 2nd of 13 in a 2800m harness Class C, and will be no pushover if form transitions
Summary: An excellent crusader in the ridden discipline, JAZZ IN MONTREUX (12) returns to Caen well-prepared, shod to preference, and with every chance of making this his own. HERADAMES (14) may not have been seen under the saddle for some time but has form at a superior level and looks a legitimate contender. GABRIELLA DUEM (15) debuts in the code in excellent shape and will have her chances. Difficult to knock under these conditions, FALCON D’ESPACE (10) must be taken seriously.

C8 – PRIX RFM (PRIX GUILLAUME LE CONQUERANT) – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - FRECCIA – Surprise 5th of 13 in a 2850m Vincennes Class A on 5 April and a repeat seems most unlikely
- LOLITA BOURBON – Takes a dip in category after running 5th in 19 April race of reference. Is unbeaten going right-handed and warrants respect
- FERAHAN AS – 5th of 13, a place behind LE BILLET VERT (4), in a 2850m Vincennes Class A early last month. Pitted against better this time and chances slim at best
- LE BILLET VERT – 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Gr.2 on 19 April. Comes to Caen with morale intact and will be expected to contest the finish
- LA STAR ROC – Courageous 4th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 on 1 March. Has not been seen since but consistently gives her best and should not be ruled out
- LUNABELLA D’OMAHA – Classy filly making first start since winning a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 last November. Shoes fitted this time and best to hold off
- LITTLE BROWN – 4th of 9 behind LE BILLET VERT (4) in 2875m Gr.2 Prix de Tonnac-Villeneuve at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Is difficult to knock when focused and, winner of his only clockwise start, will garner support
- LOULOU DE MYE – Well-regarded type that finished 8th of 9 behind LE BILLET VERT (4) in a 2875m Enghien Gr.2 on 19 April. Races barefoot for first time and will be no easy touch if he turns
- LUCIANO MENUET – 7th of 9 behind LE BILLET VERT (4) in 2875m Gr.2 Prix de Tonnac-Villeneuve at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Disappointing so far this term and must shape up
- LOVINO BELLO – Serious colt starting for first time since running 2nd of 12 in 2100m Gr.2 Prix de Tonnac-Villeneuve at Vincennes in early-February and can again finish close
- FRANK GIO – Has not been seen out since dominating a 2700m Vincennes Gr.1 on 25 January. Will have been specifically prepared for this and should logically bring home the bacon
Summary: An exceptional servant that goes over any trip, FRANK GIO (11) may not have been seen out since winning the Gr.1 Prix Ourasi in late-January but he has class in spades and racing right-handed will pose no problem. LE BILLET VERT (4) has progressed very nicely this year and his recent Gr.2 Prix de Tonnac-Villeneuve performance stands him in good stead. Already twice a winner at the highest level, LOVINO BELLO (10) has not raced for 3 months but is shod to preference and thrives with Eric Raffin reining. LITTLE BROWN (7) gave a good account behind Clément Duvaldestin’s colt on his re-entry at Enghien and will have progressed for the race.

C9 – PRIX HUBERT HARDY – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 31,000 - KALMIO DE LOU – Got back in the game at Lyon-Parilly mid-April when successful in a 2850m Class D. Takes on a better lot this time but, with application, can still get a look-in
- KOQUERY DU BUISSON – Won on comeback before being disqualified for interference in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 25 April. Won here at 3 but in this company will be facing a stiff test
- KOH SAMUI – Serious mare making first appearance since running 3rd of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 in January 2024 and is going to need the outing
- KOURGA DE LOU – Makes Caen debut after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a fortnight ago. Enjoys a good spot behind the car, and even with front pads fitted, should not be ignored
- KISS ME AGAIN – Was full of running before badly negotiating the final turn, coming 7th of 13 behind KALINE DU JOUR (9) in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 25 April. Form is not in question though and can make a big splash if focused
- KISS ATOUT – Confirmed his appreciation for racing barefoot when victorious in a 2625m Class D at La Rochelle 3 weeks ago and returns to Caen with a realistic chance of imposing
- KINGA SUPREME – Put a brace of poor Caen performances to bed when close 2nd of 10 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 15 April and in similar shape can repeat
- KAID MARTIN – Denied a run but still managed to finish 7th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 8 days ago. Has never failed to deliver racing right-handed but is being aimed a bit too high
- KALINE DU JOUR – Failed to confirm Enghien victory when 5th of 13 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 25 April. Is plainly in shape but has no clockwise references and others preferred
- KATIA DE MUZE – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Steps up in category, and breaks from the 2nd line, but won her only start at the venue and looks a decent first-5 prospect
- KINASSE DE VIVOIN – Showed improvement when 4th of 18 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class D on 20 April. Reverts to a previous formula though and not a priority
- KARNAC WOOD – 3rd on re-entry here in March before failing to fire, coming last of 10 to KALMIO DE LOU (1) in a 2850m Parilly Class D on 14 April. Second line starter but still has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
- KENNEDY FRANCE – Going well when sanctioned in a 2525m Cavaillon Class C early last month. Not ideally-drawn but on good behaviour will be competitive for a place in the frame
- KONCORD DELO – Disappointing in 2 this term, latterly last of 10 in a 2650m Alencon Class D a fortnight ago, and will have nothing to offer
- KASH DES CAILLONS – Runner-up to KISS ATOUT (6) at La Rochelle before finishing well to come 5th of 13 in a 2825m Chartres Class D a fortnight ago. Handed a rough draw but won lone start here and must be afforded respect
- KID DES MOLLES – Last of 9 in a 2850m Laval monte Class C on 24 April. Here for a change of scenery and can be ignored
Summary: Back to winning ways last month, KISS ATOUT (6) returns to racing right-handed but has the requisite references and can repeat. KISS ME AGAIN (5) struggled to turn at Vincennes recently but going clockwise this time is a logical move and the draw will do his chances no disservice. KENNEDY FRANCE (13) was clearly going well when sanctioned at Cavaillon but is barefoot with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike and will be expected to redeem himself. KINGA SUPREME (7) put on quite the show in Paris mid-April and in similar shape can go close.

Summary: KNICK KNACK (7) looks poised to bounce back after a non-completion last time and can take advantage of a more forgiving race. His earlier second at Nancy was solid. KAVARATTI (2) is the main threat, assuming a clear round—his Class 2 second at Lyon Parilly was strong form. JEANNE DE GUYE (4) has shown enough to warrant each-way support after a fair fifth last time, and IDEAL D’ALLIER (5) is another with claims if improving on recent efforts.

She is the selection ahead of ROI K’ALIN (3), who scored on his penultimate start in late March in a handicap hurdle over track and trip. JOHNNYSAID (4) has a couple of unplaced runs recently, but remains capable of having a say in the finish. ILTONE (1) has an absence to overcome, but if fit, he can be on the premises.

LA VALETTE (8), a flat winner, has hinted at ability in this sphere and can get involved. LENZA CONTI (6) is progressing nicely and impressed when winning over this course and distance last month—she rates a solid each-way option and clearly holds repeat claims.

Summary: KARNAC (2) is best judged on his second-place run at Sennones three runs back. He can win again on his seasonal return. LARMES DE JOIE (5) could be the main danger. She got off the mark last time at Senonnes in April and seems to be on an upward curve. LUCKY D’AIRY (7) shaped well to be second at Cluny last time and can make her presence felt. Summary: PENNSYLVANIA (5) caught the eye when she was fourth on her debut at Chantilly last month over 1200m. The drop back in trip should not be a concern, and she can get off the mark. ZELZAL DREAM (4) is more experienced. He looks like the main danger to the selection. ALEM (1) ran well to be fourth on the only run last year at Cholet. She is also dropping in trip and can not be overlooked. GONCHAKOVA (10) has a nice profile and is one to watch in the betting for clues on debut.

- CHIVERE – Several placed efforts so far, 3rd on the latter over 1400m at Compiegne on April 25th. One to keep onside
Summary: In a race that lacks depth. It may pay to side with SILHAM (4), who was a fair third in a maiden last time in late April at Nort-Sur-Edre. She is preferred over the frustrating CHIVERE (6), who has several placed efforts, the latest over 1400m in late April at Compiegne when third. He returns to his favorite distance after a seven month break and if the comeback run is not needed, he can add to his winning tally. MR HOLLYWOOD (1) has not been victorious on French soil yet and his last run when finishing second could boast confidence in him erupting the finishing line. AKAGERA (6) was honest last time out when finishing third and surely has done her homework to make amends and will be trying her best to make a big statement here. URI (1) has respectable form and has taken on stronger. He meets the right field to showcase his experienced racing abilities. A STOLEN KISS (10) wraps up the top four mix and has a place chance.

Summary: ALAVESA (2) caught the eye and imagination on debut when posting a huge effort finishing 2nd at Saint-Cloud over 1600m on the 29th of March. What ever beats her, will win! LA CEIBA (3) is lightly raced and showing some promise. Her last run when 5th over 2100m was a little disappointing but efforts before that make up for that. Bright chance. GOLDYGIRL (11) has a strong place chance and is a must for the shortlist. LA BONNE ETOILE (1) has a first four chance.

Summary: MISS ANGEL (6) shed her maiden tag in good style last time out and remains with plenty of scope for improvement which should see her running well straight out the maidens. BO DADDY (5) has been a solid performer who appears to be getting closer to that maiden success and is one that demands the utmost of respect over a suitable trip. SUN RISE (4) put her best forward in a big way last time out and as much as she needs to confirm that effort, she could be a lot more streetwise and could be in the firing line.
