R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX MUTUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000
- CANTAB AS – Steps up in category after running 3rd in a Strasbourg Class D last week, but at this level is unlikely to spice things up
- RED HOT ROADSTER – Well-campaigned Swedish raider that made no impact in last month’s Vincennes bow and even with shoes off this time still seems out of his league
- MULBERRY (SWE) – Serious Scandinavian element making first start for new handler and is here for reasons of conditioning
- LOOK OF LOVE – Capable mare that has been reconfigured for her return to Paris. Is plainly in shape but would have better prospects a level down
- SANGRIA PELLINI – Was not the luckiest on comeback when denied a run here on 17 April. Showed her form though and gets on well with Benjamin Rochard. Minor honours
- DADA DEL RONCO – Useful mare but has yet to impress since returning from her winter break and will first need to reaffirm
- JUST DU CHATELET – Vincennes-loving trotter with a pair of conditioners under his belt since the spell. Presents solid references under these conditions and must be afforded respect
- JUSTE SNOB – Has been a handful lately but will have appreciated his Le Mans freshener. Imposed under these conditions in November when similarly-shod and cannot be discounted
- JUNKIE (SWE) – Just recently returned from her spell, finishing 9th behind DENIA (12) in a 2100m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and is unlikely to create an upset
- JAG HAUFOR – Showed marked improvement when 2nd in a 2175m Class D here late last month. Seldom lets the side down when barefoot and focused and can again figure prominently
- JOSS AIMEF – Excellent in 3 of last 4, most recently winning a Class F at La Capelle earlier in the month, and given his liking for Vincennes looks competitively well in
- DENIA – Is significantly better than latest run here would suggest. Has already won for her driver who will be legitimately anticipating another strong performance
- JUNON DE LOU – Placed in 3 of 4 prior to comfortably winning a 2850m Class D here a month ago and will be expected to bring the fight to JADOU DU LUPIN (14)
- JADOU DU LUPIN – Wonderful campaigner that has never disappointed at Vincennes. Has made the frame in last 12 starts and looks set to take all the beating
- IDREAMIS – Has twice failed to confirm her early-March victory and with shoes fitted will have nothing to offer
- IDEAL DANCER – Moderate trotter that just recently returned to competition and can expect to find this a stiff test
Summary: After 2 months off, JADOU DU LUPIN (14) got straight down to business at Le Mans a fortnight ago and, barefoot for his return to Paris, has every chance of repeating. He will be opposed though by a reinvigorated JUNON DE LOU (13) who imposed nicely here last time out, and a barefoot JOSS AIMEF (11) who has been most impressive this year. DENIA (12) should not be condemned for her latest run; she is reunited with Eric Raffin who won with her at Machecoul and is unlikely to be far off the mark. Quite a fan of the venue, JUST DU CHATELET (7) faces his first objective of the season and will be no pushover.

C2 – PRIX JEAN RIAUD – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - JANGO VICI – Useful on a good day and has form under these conditions. Makes just 2nd appearance since the break and even though competitively-shod still looks an outsider
- HYMNE DU GERS – Returns to a hard surface after failing to deliver on turf late last month. Has nothing to prove at this level but faces a stiffer test on this occasion
- COBRA KILLER GAR – Finished last but one in Naples but returns to conditions he appreciates and the revised configuration may be just the ticket. Attention
- FIFTYFOUR – Classy Scandinavian trotter that has not been seen out since December 2023. Will be given an easy race and can be passed over
- HARMONY DU RABUTIN – Has not won since suffering misfortune in the Prix d’Amerique, but drops down the category-ladder and has every chance of getting off the mark for 2026
- HULYSSE DIGEO – Tough individual that was denied a path when full of running in Gr.2 Prix des Ducs de Normandie and is unlikely to be sent out at 50-1 this time
- LIONHEART – Good class of horse but is the lone 5yo in the field. Is here for reasons of conditioning and will have other ambitions
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Has not been firing on all cylinders this term and would be preferred barefoot
- HORCHESTRO – Is clearly in competition-mode after prepping at Chateaubriant a month ago. Presents good references over 2850m here and is easy to like for a place in the picture
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – Produced a 47-1 surprise when 3rd of 13, a place behind HARMONY DU RABUTIN (5), in Gr.1 Prix de Paris 3 months back. Goes barefoot for return to competition and will have his supporters
- IDEAL LIGNERIES – Speedy element with fine credentials in a superior class. Goes barefoot following last month’s re-entry run and but may just need another race
- INO DU LUPIN – Flew up in Gr.3 Prix du Bois de Vincennes over course and distance before running 2nd in a pair of Gr.2s. Finished close to Inexess Bleu in Prix des Ducs de Normandie at Caen and looks principal danger to HARMONY DU RABUTIN (5)
Summary: Gr.1 Prix de Paris runner-up HARMONY DU RABUTIN (5) takes a notable dip in class after running 5th in last month’s Gr.1 Prix de l’Atlantique and, barefoot again, looks marginally better than the well-engaged, and reconfigured, INO DU LUPIN (12) who has been knocking at the door lately. Close 4th behind Jean-Paul Marmion’s horse in the Gr.2 Prix Kerjacques, COBRA KILLER GAR (3) reverts to an earlier formula after having failed to deliver in the Gr.1 Gran Premio de la Lotteria and can trot his way onto the podium. Barefoot after being conditioned in a GNT Gr.3 at Chateaubriant, HORCHESTRO (9) enjoys a good record with his driver and is unlikely to let the side down.

C3 – PRIX CONSTELLATION – 2850m (a2m) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 60,000 - MISTER LION – Ran 3rd under the saddle before coming 6th, a place behind FIRST TIME ROC (6), in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 27 April, and will have too much to do
- FLORIDA BI – Has won 14 of 17 and, more importantly, is unbeaten in 2 Vincennes starts. Is new to 2850m but Eric Raffin will eager to make up for her Enghien defeat. Chance
- FORCE OF NATURE – Serious sort whose recent clinker behind FIRST TIME ROC (6) should not be taken at face value. Showed his form at Caen a month earlier and David Thomain can be confident of a bigger performance this time
- LAMONT DU DOUET – Lacklustre 7th behind FIRST TIME ROC (6) in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 27 April, and at this level will have nothing to offer
- LAHIRE DE NAPPES – Quality trotter that won a Gr.3 over course and distance last November. Is here for reasons of conditioning though and best to keep one’s powder dry
- FIRST TIME ROC – Honest individual that ran 5th in a 2875m Enghien Class B late last month but will have more to find this time
- FERAHAN AS – Not always the most dependable but has previously won in France. Is not about to upset the status quo but should nevertheless hold his own
- LEGACY JIEL – Reliability not his strong suit but won under these conditions earlier in the year. Is fitted with pads again but still has the wherewithal to compete for a place in the picture
- FUNKY ROC – Returns to Vincennes after a brace of Enghien eliminations. Has previously won for Matthieu Abrivard here and, although not a leading contender, still represents a respectable first-5 chance
- LEZZO FIGHTER – Has enjoyed something of a renaissance since being campaigned in his current configuration. Benefits from a terrific entry and will be well-backed to win this
Summary: LEZZO FIGHTER (10) can prove a handful but has talent in spades; he completed the hat-trick at Chateaubriant a month back and, runner-up last time over course and distance, he goes barefoot and will be a tough nut to crack. Clement Duvaldestin will still be mindful of the highly-performant FLORIDA BI (2) who will have come on for her excellent re-entry race, and FORCE OF NATURE (3) who is considerably better than his recent run would imply. The same can be said of LEGACY JIEL (8) who finished a place behind him that day.

C4 – PRIX SIRRAH – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - ILIO MANNETOT – Pleasant 4th, a place behind JAIN MAB (2), in a Laval Class D a month ago. Has been reconfigured and is unlikely to shake things up
- JAIN MAB – Acquits herself well for the most part and has returned to competition in good shape. Has never failed to deliver over 2700m here and should be taken seriously
- JIMINY CRICKET – Fine dual-discipline trotter returning to Vincennes on a hat-trick. Has shown a liking for the venue and while unlikely to get his nose in front, can nevertheless give it a good go
- IOUPY TOLLEVILLE – Has been acquitting himself respectably of late, but perhaps not well enough to be considered a player
- JACOMO BELLO – Faithful element for the most part. Was by no means disgraced just behind JAIN MAB (2) at Laval and is certainly worth keeping an eye on
- JIZOU D’ETANG – Super crusader that seldom disappoints when he can keep his mind on the game. Eliminated in last 2 but the change of driver may be just what the doctor ordered. Claim
- JAPAROV LIRE – Appeared to be getting back in shape in March but out of the picture in last 2. Has been reconfigured but still not a priority
- JANKO HAUFOR – Ran 2nd at Enghien in March prior to coming 4th in a 2850m Class D here a month back. Is confirmed at this level and unlikely to be far off the mark
- IMELDA – Seen more often than not under the saddle but has respectable harness references. In this company though, looks a minor place chance at best
- HIGH FIRE DAIRPET – Lost his way early last year. Will be barefoot for comeback but still has nothing to offer
- IRIS DES ROSEAUX – Wonderfully-consistent sort going barefoot following his re-entry run. Boasts fine course-and-distance credentials and is not one to be underestimated
- HERCULE DE LEAU – Encouraging 3rd in Toulouse last month but was unable to confirm at Caen, and others easier to back
- JOLIVERT DU GERS – Serious individual reunited with Jean-Michel Bazire after enduring a tough trip here early last month. Has been afforded time to return to his best and is eminently capable of imposing
- GOLD D’ECROVILLE – Ran 2nd in a similar event earlier in the year but has looked rather ordinary since and can be passed over
- ICARE WILLIAMS – Took little time getting back in the game, latterly somewhat unlucky 2nd in a Vichy Class D on 4 May. Has a particular appreciation for Vincennes and can contest a place on the podium
Summary: Impressive Quinte winner at Enghien in March, JIZOU D’ETANG (6) has failed to finish in his 2 subsequent outings, but can put things right if David Thomain keeps him trotting. He will still want to be wary of Matthieu Abrivard’s pair of JOLIVERT DU GERS (13), who will be partnered by JMB for the occasion, and the ideally-engaged ICARE WILLIAMS (15) who will be shod as he was at Vichy earlier in the month. Plainly in race-mode following his recent Caen comeback, IRIS DES ROSEAUX (11) is very easy to like, as is JANKO HAUFOR (8) who tends to go well at Vincennes.

C5 – PRIX CAECILIA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - GILLES GRIF – Useful but never far from faulting. Is here for reasons of conditioning and will have other priorities
- MANASLU – Talented colt with a good future. Has not been seen out since December but has been competitively-configured for the first time and will be worth monitoring
- MOONWALK D’HERIPRE – Boasts a very good record over 2700m here, latterly fast-finishing 2nd to MAHARAJA ATOUT (6) in a Class B here earlier this month. A repeat, however, seems improbable
- MARQUETY DE BAILLY – Pleasant 4th to MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (11) in a Class A over track and trip on 24 April, although he is unlikely to repeat
- MUSCLE DREAM – Rejuvenated since beginning to race competitively-shod, latterly runner-up to MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (11) in a Class A over track and trip on 24 April, and must be taken seriously
- MAHARAJA ATOUT – Has won 6 of the 9 races he has run, latterly a Class B over course and distance on 6 May. Trainer has taken his time with this colt and is in with a realistic shout of seeing his efforts rewarded
- GUARDAMI – Has been going from strength to strength this year, just failing to pull off the 4-timer here early last month, but sports shoes this time and best to hold off
- MISSANDEI – Well-regarded mare making first appearance since late-January. Sports front pads this time and can be confidently passed over
- MUST ATOUT – 4th behind MISTRAL DU BOIS (14) in Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse over course and distance earlier this month, before repeating behind him 3 weeks ago in Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse, and with application can get in on the action once more
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – Finished last but one, on comeback, in Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse. Is barefoot for the first time but is still taking on too much
- MISTRAL DU GOUTIER – Finished like a rocket to win a Class A over course and distance on 24 April, his first barefoot start, and a similar performance could see him repeat
- GINGER GIO – Has looked a different horse since moving to the Guarato stable. Is barefoot for comeback and it could prove foolhardy to ignore him
- MAKE YOUR DAY – Mixes the good with the less-good and will need to show more than he did when 6th behind MISTRAL DU BOIS (14) in Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse over course and distance earlier this month
- MISTRAL DU BOIS – Went close in last 2 starts, both in elevated company. Is quite clearly close to his race and Eric Raffin will be keen to prove the point
- MAGICO DE LOU – 5th behind MISTRAL DU BOIS (14) in Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse over course and distance earlier in the month. Is ideally-engaged here and with JMB in the bike is unlikely to disappoint
Summary: Runner-up in the Gr.2 Prix de Tonnac-Villeneuve last month before going on to come a close 2nd in the Gr.3 Prix du Vaucluse under these conditions 3 weeks ago, MISTRAL DU BOIS (14) is very easy to fancy for the win this time. That being said, he will face significant resistance from MAHARAJA ATOUT (6) who returns on a hat-trick after securing a Class B, also over course and distance, just over a fortnight back. MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (11) sprang quite the surprise on his return run and steps marginally up in category with a good hand to play. MUSCLE DREAM (5) has taken his game to a new level over recent months and has earned the right to race at this level.

C6 – PRIX POLLUX – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KIDAM DU METZ – Put a pair of Vincennes sanctions behind him to win a Class E at La Capelle 2 weeks ago, but can still expect to have few takers
- KID PARKER – Has ample talent but is never far from losing his action. Is barefoot this time but others still easier to trust
- KIWI DE CONNEE – Imposed over 2850m here in early-April before confirming in a Class D under these conditions later in the month. Failed to complete the hat-trick last autumn and Yoann Lebourgeois will be eager to set the record straight
- KEITHOS DU RHIN – Has been knocking at the door over recent months, most recently 2nd to runaway KOPA D’ARC (6) in a 2850m Laval Class D on 29 April. Has ground to make up but can still play a small part
- KAPORAL CARISAIE – Has won 5 of 8 races since the turn of the year, most recently 3rd in a Class E over course and distance earlier this month, and must be taken more seriously this time
- KOPA D’ARC – Stormed up in a 2850m Laval Class D on 29 April. Is hard to knock in current configuration and once again looks the pick of the field
- KOUROUX – Honest element that consistently gives his best. Is easy to like in current shape but may be taking on too much this time
- KRAK D’AZUR – Has done nothing of note since winning at Victoria Park in December 2024 and can be ruled out
- KINGSTON DE BLARY – Has been going good-guns since returning to race with front pads. Is not the most productive under these conditions but in current form is difficult to ignore
- KALINOU QUICK – Behind in earnings after 15 months on the sidelines. Placed in 2 of last 3, latterly over course and distance on 17 April, and entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time will be no pushover
- KRACKER PIYA – Went into his winter spell on a high note but very disappointing on re-entry 2 months back. Comes fresh to the venue, has placed over 2700m here, but others still preferred
- KOQUERY DU BUISSON – Capable on a good day and presents respectable Vincennes references, but takes on a tougher lot here than he did at Langon and is not an obvious choice
- KOVES DU PONT – Can prove a handful but has bags of ability and is particularly versatile. 4th, a place behind KALINOU QUICK (10), in a Class D over track and trip on 17 April, and will not be sent out at 27-1 this time
Summary: Barefoot for the first time in his career, just weeks after having superbly opened his 2026 account at Laval, KOPA D’ARC (6) looks thoroughly capable of repeating. KOVES DU PONT (13), however, enjoys an excellent entry and arguably looks a better bet than KALINOU QUICK (10) who had his measure here last month. KINGSTON DE BLARY (9) is enjoying something of a second wind and has a decent chance to re-establish his 2700m credentials.

C7 – PRIX OPPAVIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – – Harness – EUR € 42,000 - KAMARAN MADRIK – Has failed to make it around unscathed 3 times since returning from a lengthy stint on the sidelines. Has been re-shod for return to Vincennes but is still not a priority
- FOTOFINISH GIOVI – Quality Italian mare that held her own on Vincennes debut recently. Has been re-shod for her return to a more suitable trip and has a realistic chance of opening her French account
- LAIKA DES MARES – Has not got her nose in front since winning a claimer here in January. Defied her odds here on Tuesday but backs up with limited prospects
- ELEGANZA AV – Modest mare that has done nothing noteworthy in 4 runs this year and can be confidently disregarded
- ONANA BOKO – Returned nicely to the harness code following a short spell, coming surprise 4th in an Enghien Class B 3.5 weeks ago. Is well-positioned on front line, races barefoot on this occasion, and with form maintained should play an active role
- ELAND – Has done nothing of note in 4 starts this year and with shoes fitted will have nothing to contribute
- KATINA DE TOUSSAC – Ran 2nd in the amateur division at Enghien mid-April before being trounced at Rambouillet next time and can be ruled out
- FIABA DEL RONCO – 5th in a Class E over course and distance last week. Reverts to racing unshod-behind and is unlikely to set off any fireworks
- FAWAZ MIL – Starts for the first time since running 4th over 1700m at Klosterskogen, Norway, early last month. Is clearly in excellent shape and will be no easy touch if he takes to the Vincennes profile
- ROCKY OASIS – Has placed in 3 of last 5 starts under the saddle. Gives the harness code a shot this time and could pleasantly surprise
- DUKE OF NEW YORK – Has done everything asked of him this term, most recently 3rd over 1900m at Gelsenkirchen earlier in the month. Takes on a better lot this time but still has the wherewithal to make the frame
- SECRET OF LAW – Has enjoyed a decent run of form since joining Pierre Pellerot’s yard, latterly 5th over course and distance. Was not ideally-placed that day either and should be good enough to make the frame this time
Summary: Nothing is a given here considering the inexperience of the drivers, but the nod nevertheless goes to the well-placed and reconfigured FOTOFINISH GIOVI (2) who held her own in good company here earlier in the month. FAWAZ MIL (9) will be fresh for his Vincennes bow and despite a wide draw still looks a serious proposition. SECRET OF LAW (12) held his own over course and distance a week ago and can finish closer this time provided his driver successfully navigates the start. The German DUKE OF NEW YORK (11) pleased here earlier in the season, is clearly in fine shape, and will be barefoot for the occasion.

C8 – PRIX GLAUKE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - NINJA DU PLESSIS – Got off the mark 2.5 weeks ago when comfortably winning a Meslay-du-Maine Class E. Is unlikely to repeat but should nonetheless hold his own
- NAGANOSTAR – Impressive winner on debut at Le Croise-Laroche in April before confirming smartly at La Capelle 2 weeks ago. Jean-Michel Bazire in the bike for the first time and is easy to fancy for the spoils
- NELSON DU PONT – Most impressive when winning a Chartres Class E a fortnight back after having lost ground at the start, but can make a big splash if Nicolas Bazire gets him off on the right foot
- NEPTUNE AU VENT – Gave a very good account on re-entry 2.5 weeks ago, running 2nd in a Vichy Class D. Has no left-handed references and in this company looks a minor place prospect at best
- NEWTON DES FORGES – Flew up at La Capelle on 19 April, first time out. Repeated in better company at the same venue a fortnight later and is eminently capable of securing the hat-trick
- NEBBIO DU LIAMONE – Debuts for new handler after having been bought out of a Montauban claimer in February, and even with Benjamin Rochard reining will have limited chances
- NOUGAYORQUE – Moderate colt that always gives what he can, although in this field he already looks outclassed
- NICE ATOUT – Competitively-configured on his main-track debut. Excels with Eric Raffin and has a realistic chance of returning to the winners’ circle
- NAKALOUN – Enjoys a terrific entry but has been out of sorts since February and appears to have no possible chance
Summary: A host of good future prospects in this field and choosing the winner is no easy task. NEWTON DES FORGES (5) is 2 for 2 with room to spare on each occasion and can make this his own if he takes to the main-track profile. NICE ATOUT (8) returns to racing with front pads fitted following his Cholet prep and will be reunited with Eric Raffin for whom he has never disappointed. Tenacious winner at Chartres recently, NELSON DU PONT (3) looks the sort that can do well here. Stablemate NAGANOSTAR (2) has also won 2 for 2 and with JMB reining could well keep his undefeated record intact.

C9 – PRIX LICETUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - NOBLESSE JISCE – Ran 2nd at Reims in March before repeating in a Class D at La Capelle earlier this month, but can expect to find the going a bit tougher this time
- NAVY MADRIK – Courageous winner of a Chateaubriant Class D a month ago when reined by Eric Raffin for the first time. Ran 2nd at Enghien on sole left-handed start and is worth retaining
- NIKITA DU MOUTHIEU – Clearly has ability even though yet to deliver since returning to competition. JMB in the bike for the first time however and should logically show more
- NASHIRA RUSCINO – Pleased more than once earlier in the year but has failed to make any impact lately and must first reaffirm
- NEPTUNE CHANTE – Was unable to pull off the 3-timer when forced to endure a tough trip, finishing just behind NIKITA DU MOUTHIEU (3), in a 2175m Class B here in late-March. Has freshness on her side though and with pads fitted will be no soft touch
- NALA DE FAY – Yet to lose her maiden tag but latterly ran pleasant 3rd in a Class C over course and distance on 14 April. Goes well for Matthieu Abrivard, is well-entered, and can contest a place in the picture
- NOUMEA COCONUT – Not the easiest of horses to deal with but showed her form at Enghien on 18 April and can win this if she stays in stride
Summary: NOUMEA COCONUT (7) takes to the main track for the first time after having reassured across town last month and given the entry could well open her Vincennes tab. That being said, Philippe Allaire’s NEPTUNE CHANTE (5) has already imposed over course and distance and will be sporting pads for the first time. NIKITA DU MOUTHIEU (3) drops back to a more suitable category after twice failing to impress here this term, and will be similarly sporting pads.

Summary: A very open looking first event. KLASSIC FROMENTRO (14), racing barefoot all round, looks capable of returning to winning ways. He will, however, need to see off KEPI ROUGE (10), who has been knocking on the door, as well as JURASSIC MOIRE (11), who returns to a track he particularly enjoys. KAVIVE (2) produced a fair effort over this course and distance last time and can still have a say in the race.
