R1 CHERBOURG [L-H]

C1 – PRIX GUSTAVE-JOSEPH LE MAGNEN – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 17,500

  1. MATICAT – Qualified respectably at Caen in April but has been sanctioned in both public starts and must get his house in order
  2. MONROI DU GERS – Modest colt that is never far from losing his action and recent results do nothing to inspire confidence
  3. MISTER LANDEMER – Qualified in good order at Caen last month then got straight down to business at Bourigny on debut 2.5 weeks ago. Starts in front but may still be taking on too much
  4. MYSTREAM DU DOME – Lost her maiden status on just 2nd start back, winning an Elbeuf Class H 10 days ago. Takes on a better bunch this time but should still be competitive for a place on the podium
  5. MAX DE COQUERIE – Has produced just one decent performance in 14 and will have nothing to offer
  6. MIGHTY DU DOME – Is not devoid of ability but has yet to make his mark this term and is unlikely to this time either
  7. MAROCO DE LOU – Made solid career debut on 25 May prior to imposing at MILOU DE SALOMAX (10) 2.5 weeks ago. Takes to a hard surface for the first time but still merits respect
  8. MOSCATO SHOW – Has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot. Receives an Eric Raffin drive for the first time and must be considered a priority
  9. MASCARET DU BOCAGE – Unremarkable type that has placed just twice in 14 starts. Is not the worst horse here but is not a contender either
  10. MILOU DE SALOMAX – Facile winner of an Elbeuf Class H 10 days ago when competitively-shod for the first time. Enjoys a good entry on front row and Robin Lamy will be keen to make hay
  11. MY HOPE FLIGNY – Has failed to make any impact in 3 starts so far this term. Sports shoes this time and is unlikely to generate much interest
  12. MILIO D’AVEL – Won 2 of 3 before being sent for a break last July. Has not been seen out since though and will not be given a hard race
  13. MINNESOTA – Regularly in the thick of things when focused. Eliminated in last 2 but will be competitively-shod for the first time and Francois Lagadeuc will be eager to set the record straight
  14. MACARON – Has looked somewhat ordinary since imposing at Le Mont-Saint-Michel in February. Can trot but looks a minor place chance at best
  15. MILLESIME VIVROT – Kicked the year off superbly but has struggled with stride issues lately. Should appreciate the Cherbourg profile and, if applied, can contest the finish
  16. MY WAY LOVE – Honest sort but not the most productive. Showed improvement at Graignes earlier in the month but is still not a concern
  17. MAC GYVER – Quality individual but has not raced since late-March. Is better in the other code and is here for reasons of conditioning
  18. MISTER TROT – Useful element that ran 2nd on his sole Cherbourg start. Is reunited with Sebastien Ernault who will be eager to take advantage of the excellent opportunity. Claim
Summary: Although eliminated in his last 2, MISTER TROT (18) is nevertheless a progressive colt with ample aptitude for a race of this level; he has been reconfigured for the occasion, enjoys an excellent entry, and can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. MILLESIME VIVROT (15) may not be the easiest of horses to use but he showed his form at Pontchateau and on better behaviour can make amends. Runner-up in both return runs, and 25m better off, MOSCATO SHOW (8) is clearly close to his race and will be no pushover. MYSTREAM DU DOME (4) steps up in category after opening his account at Elbeuf and must be taken seriously. MILOU DE SALOMAX (10) similarly lost his maiden tag that same afternoon and will be shod as he was that day.

    C2 – PRIX PMU LE ROULE CHERBOURG – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 17,500
  19. MAJESTY TECE – Sports a fresh configuration after running 4th in a Graignes Class G on 13 June. Is not about to shake things up but is unlikely to be far from the action either
  20. MEGANE DE VALMONT – Encouraging 3rd at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a month back but was pulled-up at Graignes recently and is unlikely to have many takers
  21. MATHY DES YVETS – Modest mare that has placed just once in 17 career starts and has nothing to offer here
  22. MORIA DE CAREL – Has ability but has placed just once in 5 left-handed starts. Is barefoot this time but others still easier to back
  23. MADE IN CHENEVIERE – Ran 3rd at Graignes in late-May only to be eliminated here 10 days ago. Is not a contender but with some luck in running can pick up minor honours
  24. MA REINE DU LUDE – Placed in 2 straight prior to being eliminated in a Graignes Class F last Saturday. Will appreciate the flat Cherbourg surface and with application can finish in the mix
  25. MAYA DE CLARBEC – Has yet to get off the mark and is not about to this time either, but is clearly on the forward charge and can contest a place on the podium
  26. MIX BOOST AND WIN – Has just one race under her belt since the lengthy break. Is competitively-shod for the first time though and should not be completely overlooked
  27. MAHANA DU CHATELET – Put a pair of eliminations behind her to run 4th in a Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles 10 days ago. Is on the front line here and has a realistic chance of making first 5
  28. MARINE VASANI – Has been completely out of sorts this season and can be confidently disregarded
  29. MADU JOSSELYN – Not the easiest of horses to use but has ample ability. Is reunited with Eric Raffin who will be mindful to keep her trotting. Chance
  30. MERRY DAY – Gave a good account at Caen in late-May before losing her action next time. Is well-entered here and could well prove main danger to MANUELLA BELLA (13)
  31. MANUELLA BELLA – Has won twice here and was twice eliminated. Is quite obviously at the top of her game and on good behaviour can make this her own
Summary: Superbly-engaged, and winner here in early-May, MANUELLA BELLA (13) came close to repeating at Graignes 3 weeks later, and can impose if Robin Lamy keeps her focused. MERRY DAY (12) should not be condemned for her recent elimination and Thomas Lebrec will be minded to keep her focused. MADU JOSSELYN (11) regularly blots her copybook but pleased on her sole start for Eric Raffin and will be well-supported. MAYA DE CLARBEC (7) is plainly on the right road and should take well to the new conditions.

    C3 – GRAND PRIX EPHREM HOUEL – 190 ANS DES COURSES AU TROT – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 33,000
  32. HAHICHA GIRL – Completely out of the picture in last 3 starts and in this company will have nothing to contribute
  33. ISBA BESNOT – Has done little of note since imposing at Marseille in March and can be passed over
  34. JUPITER DE MAISY – Has hardly put a foot wrong since early-April, imposed at Lignieres last month, and from the front row can give this a good go
  35. JOCKEY – Like a horse reborn since returning from a lengthy absence, winning 2 of 3. Is reunited with Arthur Rebeche who will be eager to continue his gelding’s productive ways
  36. INSERT BOY – Has a race under his belt following a brief spell. Is back on a hard surface and from the front row can make a big splash
  37. IDEFIX DES LANDES – Ended last season on a decent note but has been particularly disappointing since the turn of the year and can be ruled out
  38. IN LOVE REGLISSE – Made a modest return to the track a month ago. Races shod this time and can be ignored
  39. HELIOS DJEMA – Left a good impression on comeback behind JIBI DU FRUITIER (9) here 10 days ago. Will have progressed for the run but cannot be regarded a priority
  40. JIBI DU FRUITIER – Sprang something of a surprise when 2nd in a Class E over course and distance 10 days ago. Is not a priority but, with form maintained, can get in on the action
  41. IVOIRE PRESTANCE – Has so far failed to convince since returning from his break and makes his Cherbourg debut with limited ambition
  42. ILIO MANNETOT – Got back in the game at Le Croise-Laroche early this month when 2nd in a Class E. Has placed twice in 5 Cherbourg starts but others still preferred
  43. HERMES D’ECROVILLE – Showed form earlier in the year but subsequently lost his way. Encouraged at Jallais 10 days ago but has little going for him here
  44. HISTORIC DAY – Moderate trotter starting for first time since early-February and is going to need the race
  45. IVOIRE DAIRPET – Has been deserted by Eric Raffin but is a tough individual nonetheless. Is as versatile as they get and can play a prominent role if Alexis Popot assures his initial strides
  46. JIPET DE CREPIN – Fine servant that secured each of his 2026 victories in style. Has been re-shod for his return to a hard surface and will be well-backed to win this
  47. HEAD OF STATE – Was by no means disgraced on re-entry following a long absence. Has nothing to prove at this level, will have come on for the race, and is not to be overlooked
  48. ISIS D’HERFRAIE – Has raced and placed in good company, and form is currently headed in the right direction. Is not about to create an upset but should nevertheless hold her own
  49. HELIOS SOMOLLI – Has looked very ordinary since returning to competition. Pleased on sole start at the venue but quite simply has too much to find this time
Summary: Winner of 3 on the trot before being conditioned on the Alencon turf, JIPET DE CREPIN (15) sports a new configuration for his Cherbourg bow and looks the one to beat. He will nevertheless be pitted against the tricky but talented IVOIRE DAIRPET (14) who will be no soft touch if he gets off on the right foot. An absolute dynamo in the hands of Eric Raffin, INSERT BOY (5) is 25m better off, barefoot and dangerous. In excellent form, and also well-placed in front, JUPITER DE MAISY (3) and JOCKEY (4) must be respected.
    SELECTIONS

    C4 – PRIX REGION NORMANDIE – PRIX JEAN-YVES LECUYER – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 26,000
  50. KAZAAL – Races competitively-shod for the first time after 3 return runs. Has previously won here and could pleasantly surprise
  51. KIMI DU DOME – Serious campaigner facing first objective of the season after 2 return runs, latterly most unlucky in a Caen Class E. Is barefoot this time and can impose if kept out of trouble
  52. KING AULNAIES – Failed to confirm Le Neubourg Class E success when uneasy 6th at Elbeuf 10 days ago. Presents fine credentials with Robin Lamy reining though and should not be written off
  53. KASPAROVA – Sprang a 95-1 surprise when 4th in an Amiens Class E on 8 June, however a repeat seems most improbable
  54. KARAIELLA BOND – Returns to racing with pads after being eliminated in a Class D at La Roche-Posay 10 days ago and in this category has no possible chance
  55. KEOPS DE JUMILLY – Will be reunited with Eric Raffin after coming 2nd in a Vichy Class E on 18 May and is easy to like for a first-5 payout
  56. KNOW EVER – Has thrived so far this season, most recently winning a Chartrees Class E 3.5 weeks ago, and should again contest the finish
  57. KISS ME DU LIVET – Returns to racing shod after coning 4th in a Gournay-en-Bray Class H a month ago and is unlikely to influence the result
  58. KATSUKI – Has consistently shown his good side this spring. Was somewhat flat at Les Sables-d’Olonne earlier in the month, but is clearly better than that and must be taken seriously
  59. KARMA TEJY – Showed improvement when 5th in a Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Will be barefoot this time and, although not a contender, should nevertheless hold his own
  60. KOZMIC BLUES – Has done nothing but impress since his winter break. Benefits from a terrific entry and Cedric Terry will be determined to make hay. Chance
Summary: Hard to fault when barefoot and focused, KIMI DU DOME (2) returns to racing left-handed following a pair of Caen conditioners and, with application, should have this in the bag. That being said, the well-engaged KOZMIC BLUES (11) has been excelling lately and looks the main threat. KNOW EVER (7) has been a different horse this season, picked up victory here in April, and will be expected to finish close once more. KATSUKI (9) has been knocking at the door for the past 2 months and looks competitively well in on his Cherbourg debut.
    SELECTIONS
    KIMI DU DOME (2) – KOZMIC BLUES (11) – KNOW EVER (7) – KATSUKI (9)
    C5 – PRIX LDI COULEURS DIFFUSION VALOGNES – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 23,000
  61. LASER DE TILLARD – Just recently ran 8th in a Sablé-sur-Sarthe Class F on re-entry late last month and will need to find significantly more
  62. LASCAR DE BEAUM – Ran 2nd under these conditions last November but has just the one race in him since the break and others easier to support
  63. LAMBRUSCO – Showed last season what he is capable of. Has not been the most convincing lately but it is only a matter of time before he gets back down to business
  64. LIONEL DU DERBY – Showed considerable early promise but has failed to live up to expectations and chances appear limited
  65. LAUTREC CARISAIE – Serious element that has been going good-guns lately. Could well have imposed last time had he not lost his action and with Eric Raffin reining can set the record straight
  66. L’EXCELLENT – Looked to be getting back in shape late last month but out of the picture in last 2 starts and can be passed over
  67. LOVE ME HAUFOR – Has 24 races in him but is still chasing that elusive first win. Has ability though, sports a fresh configuration, and can get a look in if Florian Boudet gets him off on the right foot
  68. LUTIN DU BUST – Capricious trotter that has failed to make it around unscathed in 3 starts this term. Has been freshly re-shod but must first get his house in order
  69. LUCKYLUKE DU GIVRE – Produced something of a surprise on the Orleans turf 2.5 weeks ago when 2nd of 11 in a Class F, and a repeat seems unlikely
  70. LATINO DE CANCHY – Useful sort that did not displease at Sablé-sur-Sarthe late last month but can expect to have a lot more to do this time
  71. LAPACHO DU FIER – Erratic trotter that encouraged when 3rd in a Jallais ClassF 10 days ago. Will be barefoot for the first time and, considering the entry, cannot be discounted
  72. LET’S GO VAL – Showed improvement at Le Croise-Laroche early this month when 5th in a Class F. Is not about to paint the town red but can still make first 5
  73. LOVELY TRIP – Ran 3rd in last 2, most recently a Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne early this month, and could well contest the finish this time
  74. LAFAYETTE DU BOURG – Showed encouraging signs at Rambouillet mid-May but was eliminated at Caen next time and at this level will struggle to make his presence felt
  75. L’ECLAIR DE PLAY – Has been acquitting himself well over recent months but is in conditioning-mode this time and best to keep one’s powder dry
  76. LUX DE LA MESLIERE – Reverts to racing barefoot after a decent return run at La Capelle early last month. Is well-engaged, has won 1 of 2 here, and must be respected
  77. LE ROCKER DE PLAY – Lost his action at Vire in May but put things right on 4 June when convincing winner of a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E. Tends to go well for Sebastien Baude and the entry will only work in his favour
  78. LUXOR DE VILLABON – Encouraged at Agen in March but has twice failed to confirm and will have few takers
Summary: Clearly going well when eliminated at Cholet a fortnight ago, LAUTREC CARISAIE (5) enjoys a front-line break here and, entrusted to Eric Raffin for the occasion, is very hard to ignore. As for LE ROCKER DE PLAY (17), he made up for his Vire sanction when successful at Mauquenchy 3 weeks ago and even from the 2nd row can make a big impact. LOVELY TRIP (13) has been knocking at the door and should not disappoint. LUX DE LA MESLIERE (16) is in race-mode following a much-needed freshener and on good behaviour should not be far off the mark. LET’S GO VAL (12) is no champion but he is proven in the day’s configuration and should not be overlooked.

    C6 – PRIX BRASSERIE PINTE DE SAIRE ST-VAAST-LA-HOUGUE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 23,000
  79. LUBIE ROYALE – Not without merit but is as capricious as they come. Sports a fresh configuration but still not an obvious choice
  80. LOUMANA LAND – Showed ability at 4 but eliminated in all 3 runs this term and will have few friends
  81. LAKOUNA DU DOME – Went into her winter break on a low note and returned at Orleans 2.5 weeks ago only to be eliminated. Disregard
  82. LIESVILE DU VIVIER – Ran 2nd at Vire but has twice failed to confirm since. Is not the worst horse here but is not a priority either
  83. LA BELLA PURPLE – Blows hot and cold but has been entrusted to Gabriele Gelormini for the occasion. Shoes fitted for the occasion but is still worth keeping an eye on
  84. L’IDOLE DRY – Modest mare that has yet to impress this season and is not about to change her ways
  85. LEGENDE DRY – Has been disappointing for the most part over recent months and needs to get her house in order
  86. LHASSA DU SCION – Never far from faulting but has bags of ability. Showed at Jullouville-les-Pins last month that she is clearly in good shape and will be reunited with Alexis Popot. First 5
  87. LADY SLAVE TEK – Has improved for each run this term, latterly 4th in a Durtal Class F a month ago. Is new to the venue but represents no more than a minor place chance
  88. LILI MARLEEN – Lightly-raced mare that just missed out on the hat-trick when 3rd in a Meslay-du-Maine Class F in March. Has not been seen out since but is clearly here in competition-mode and can expect the lion’s share of support
  89. LADY DE SAINT JEAN – Returns to a hard surface after placing in 3 straight turf starts. Is unlikely to create an upset but in current condition is still easy to like for a spot in the mix
  90. LINDA DES LANDES – Respectable 7th in a Class E over course and distance 10 days ago but a repeat seems improbable
  91. LEONORA – Respectable in 2 of last 3 but was eliminated here 10 days ago and is unlikely to spice things up
  92. LOKIE KADESH – Ran 3rd at Chartres before coming close 2nd in a Graignes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Ran 2nd last time here and has the wherewithal to contest a place in the frame
  93. LUMIERE DE BAILLE – Returned to victorious ways when securing a Laval Class E a fortnight back. On back line this time but still looks a serious proposition
  94. LESPANA DU BOCAGE – Complicated mare that kicked the year off with a double before enduring 4 straight sanctions. More than made amends at Chartres a week ago and with the champion driver reining will be afforded every chance
Summary: Although a late developer, LILI MARLEEN (10) has taken no time to set out her stall, and reconfigured for her first start going left-handed, can wrap this up if she turns. LUMIERE DE BAILLE (15) has done nothing but improve this term and, penalty or not, Mathieu Mottier will have his mind set on the double. A fine servant when focused, and nicely-entered here, LESPANA DU BOCAGE (16) will be reined by Eric Raffin this time and with stride in check can play a prominent role. LOKIE KADESH (14) has been knocking at the door, will be barefoot for the occasion, and must be considered a player.

    C7 – PRIX HOTEL-RESTAURANT LE SAINTE-MERE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 19,500
  95. NON STOP DU WALLON – Ran 3rd in 10 May race of reference but looked ordinary at Rambouillet 2.5 weeks ago and others preferred
  96. NEO DE FAEL – Well-bred colt that made short work of his Elbeuf debut 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better bunch this time but still looks a leading proposition
  97. NANARD AU VENT – Got off the mark at first time of asking, lifting a Savenay Class G a month back. Takes on a better lot, over a hard surface this time, and others easier to back
  98. NY MASTER – Placed twice, eliminated twice in 4 starts to date. Should feel right at home at Cherbourg and is not incapable of imposing
  99. NATIF D’ORLY – Took little time losing his maiden tag, winning a Ranes Class G on 25 May. Faces a much stiffer test here and will have few takers
  100. NINO DES VES – Useful sort that ran 2nd on lone Cherbourg run. Has not been seen out since mid-April though and may be race-rusty
  101. NADAL D’OLIVERIE – Failed to confirm debut victory when eliminated at Enghien on 23 May. Won for Sebastien Ernault here a fortnight earlier and will be justifiably well-supported. Claim
  102. NELSON DAIRPET – Eliminated in first 2 but got off the mark earlier in the month after securing a Vire Class F. Has yet to prove himself going left-handed but in current condition is still easy to like for a first-5 payout
  103. NIKOS DE TROIS – Would have finished in the mix at Caen 2 weeks ago had he been more at his ease. Has previously won going left-handed and on good behaviour can confirm
  104. NOBEL DE PAIL – Ran 2nd at Le Croise-Laroche in late-April but has 3 times failed to confirm and can be passed over
  105. NEON DU PARC – Lost his action in race of reference but has placed twice since. In better company this time but still cannot be discounted
  106. N’OUBLIE PAS – Has done everything asked of him to date, except win. Ran 4th to NADAL D’OLIVERIE (7) here last month and can pick up some more prizemoney
Summary: Comfortable winner over course and distance on last month’s debut, NADAL D’OLIVERIE (7) was eliminated in Paris next time, but Sébastien Ernault is back in the bike and can be confident of putting things right. He will still be keeping a watchful eye on the nicely-related NEO DE FAEL (2) who lost her maiden status recently at the first time of asking, and NY MASTER (4) who will be no easy touch if Francois Lagadeuc keeps him trotting. NIKOS DE TROIS (9) is still rather green but has obvious ability and it is just a question of time before he comes good again.

    C8 – PRIX LE COTENTIN – PRIX DEPARTEMENT DE LA MANCHE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 19,500
  107. NELL DES RIOULTS – Untried filly that qualified in 1’19’8 at Grosbois last December. Hails from a yard in excellent form and is certainly worth monitoring
  108. NATURE VRIE – Very disappointing since losing her maiden status on 19 April and can be confidently ruled out
  109. NOCCIOLINA – Placed in 2 straight before losing her action in a Laval Class E a fortnight back. Has yet to deliver racing left-handed but, given the chance, can put things right
  110. NABUCA – Came good at 4th time of asking, winning a Class F at Le Neubourg on 13 June. Takes a notable hike in category though and will have little to offer
  111. NUEE DES ARRIS – Takes a step up in category after winning an Elbeuf Class G 2.5 weeks ago but is out of her depth this time
  112. NATIVE DU TRIO – Was unable to repeat debut victory when faulting early at Caen mid-month. Is new to racing left-handed but given the chance should not disappoint. Claim
  113. NIKITA TENSAU – Made short work of her debut run when victorious in a Graignes Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Has been afforded time to get back to her best and the double is not out of the question
  114. NOVENA D’OURVILLE – Got off the mark at Argentan in March but was eliminated in 2 subsequent starts. Has bags of talent though and the move to Cherbourg may be just what the doctor ordered
  115. NOA BY STEED – Improving filly that secured an Elbeuf Class G 10 days ago. Has been reconfigured for Cherbourg debut but is still being aimed too high
  116. NOTRE FLIBUSTE – Ran 3rd at Laon first time out, then imposed on turf on 31 May. Will sport pads this time and although not a priority, cannot be ruled out either
  117. NIMES – Lost her maiden tag at Elbeuf in early-May, then ran 4th in a Graignes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a superior lot here and looks a minor place chance at best
  118. NEW GRASS – Well-related filly that gave a taster of her potential when debuting victoriously at Graignes late last month. Faces a tougher task this time but has earned the right to race at this level and can play a leading role
Summary: Easy winner at Lisieux last month on her racecourse bow, NATIVE DU TRIO (6) lost all chance at Caen after faulting at the start, but Gilles D’Haenens can put that behind him if he assures her initial strides. He can still expect resistance from NIKITA TENSAU (7) who got straight down to business on her debut late last month, and the well-entered and well-bred NEW GRASS (12) whose return to the winners’ circle is just a question of time. NOVENA D’OURVILLE (8) presents a similar profile and must not be underestimated.

C1 – PRIX DU CLOS DE LA BARRE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – TURF – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 24,700

  1. WALDNEBEL – Not reliable but was 3rd in a Listed race at Lyon-Parilly over 2400m on 30 May. Should be competitive in this line-up
  2. LE COMBAT CONTINUE – On a long losing run but was 3rd in Listed race at Le Lion-d’Angers over 2000m 14 May. Can get involved with the finish
  3. CASSIUS – Did not show his best when 19th in a handicap at ParisLongChamp over 2000m on 10 May. Victorious back in March and can be a threat
  4. GOLDEN CALL – Only fair of late and finished 5th in a Listed race at Lyon–Parilly over 2400m on 30 May. Might play a minor role at very best
  5. HAMAVI – In good form and was runner up in a Conditions race at Dieppe over 3000m on 16 May. Should fight out the finish once again
  6. ZAKHAROVA – Disappointing of late and was 10th in a Listed race at ParisLongChamp over 2800m on 3 May. Has a place chance on best form
Summary: HAMAVI (5), a recent runner-up over 3,000 metres and a Listed winner at the classic trip, looks well treated at the weights here. LE COMBAT CONTINUE (2), a convincing third over a shorter trip on her return at Le Lion d’Angers, should strip fitter and go close. The consistent WALDNEBEL (1), who rarely disappoints in France, takes on his elders with solid claims. CASSIUS (3) is worth another chance and should not be judged too harshly on his latest run.

    C2 – PRIX DE L’AIRE CANTILIENNE – 2000m (a1m1/4) – TURF – Class 1 – Flat – EUR € 32,000
  7. DARYZAN – Finished 7th in a Group 1 at Chantilly over 2100m on 31 May. Victorious on debut and could bounce back to beat these rivals
  8. GAZI – Only fair of late and finished 5th in a Conditions race at Compeigne over 2000m on 5 June. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  9. ICENI BOY – A three-year-old gelding by Raven’s Pass out of Iceni Girl who is making his debut. His Dam won three races. Supplemented for this race. Monitor the betting
  10. BOX OFFICER – Victorious twice in last three starts, including last time out in a handicap at ParisLongChamp over 2100m on 28 May. Should be a threat to these rivals
  11. NOW FOR GLORY – Victorious on debut in a Conditions race at Compiegne over 2000m on 25 May. Showed some promise and could be a lively danger
  12. CENTAURI – Successful in a claimer at ParisLongChamp over 1600m on 28 May. Tougher task this time but could make the frame
Summary: DARYZAN (1) finished off his race strongly in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr.1), posting a notably quick final 200 metres, and faces much more manageable opposition. BOX OFFICER (4) arrives in top form and could give him most to think about. He is the tentative choice in a race that lacks depth. WEEKEND WARRIOR (4) ran a creditable race when sixth at Compiegne late in May when last seen and he should not be dismissed. Summary: This contest may be more open than it first appears. MYKONOS (7), a quality returner, is presented barefoot from the outset and has likely been primed for this comeback. However, MISTER LA NUIT (9), who forms a formidable partnership with Benjamin Rochard, looks a major threat. Summary: Arnaud Maillard may well hold the key to this contest with JAMAICA D’OYSE (6), who is in peak form, and JAZZ SESSION (3), who has been well managed this year. IMPACT DE L’ITON (1) has shown improvement of late and, with plenty of natural speed, this track could suit his bid for a victory. .
