Horse Racing Tips: Nap of the Day and best bets from around the tracks

Today selections
EXPOSURE – 17:10 Newmarket (NAP)

A useful performer in France, EXPOSURE ran far better than his finishing position suggests on stable debut for the Gosdens last time.
Weak in the market, he met with interference approaching the final furlong and once again inside it when seventh behind Spanish Voice and was still beaten just over two-and-a-half lengths. Down and pound with Ryan Moore taking over in the saddle, he makes plenty of appeal.
SUPER TUSCAN – 14:02 York
He was a different proposition following a gelding operation at Chepstow last time and SUPER TUSCAN is fancied to improve again and defy an opening mark of 84.
Eve Johnson Houghton’s charge quickened well and was eased down late to beat Dream On Kent by three-and-three-quarter lengths in admittedly a weak contest. But the way he went through the race and put it to bed suggested he was a significantly improved horse and he can underline that fact here.
TYCOON – 16:12 Ascot
He was ill-at-ease from an early stage at Epsom last time but back on a more conventional track, TYCOON can quickly get back on track.
Quicker ground is another plus as potentially is stepping up to a mile-and-a-half for the first time and the form of his Newmarket third in May behind Erzindjan is strong. He led home his own group that day and races from an unchanged mark.
KIND TOUCH – 16:24 Chester
He’s lightly raced and KIND TOUCH looks capable of winning a race of this nature from a mark of 83.
It’s a pound lower from the one he raced from at York last time where he finished nicely on what seemed a disadvantaged part of the track to finish seventh in a very warm contest. This is weaker, a Class 4 opposed to a Class 2, he has a handy low draw and there’s more to come.
SILVER LAKE – 18:40 Salisbury
She’s showing few signs of living up to her pedigree or purchase price but SILVER LAKE is still learning and low mileage.
The penny will drop soon and an opening mark of 75 looks fair based on her three starts in novice company to date. In very good hands, a tongue strap goes on for handicap debut and the step up to ten furlongs looks sure to suit too. She’s a big player in this if her Wolverhampton run last time completed the education.
PRINCE OF THE SEAS – 19:20 Hamilton
Still relatively new to the David O’Meara team, PRINCE OF THE SEAS looked ready to resume winning ways when third at Doncaster last week.
He only gave way late against two progressive three-year-old rivals and takes a significant step up in trip. He had winning form over a mile-and-a-half for Ralph Beckett and so it should suit and he arrives here at the top of his game.
