C1 – PRIX DE LA PORTE DE CHOISY – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 33,000

  1. OCELOT DU PONT – Qualified best of all in 1’17”8 at Caen on 20 May. He is well related and could make a winning debut
  2. OKAVANGO – Qualified in 1’17”3 in 4th position at Caen in on 7 May. Will have Benjamin Rochard in the driver’s seat and a big run is expected
  3. OLIUSANTU MAG – Qualified in 1’20”5 at Grosbois on 15 May. He will need to improve on that effort to be a contender
  4. ONYX D’AVRIL – Qualified in 13th position in 1’18”6 at Caen on 20 May. Trained by Philippe Allaire and needs to be respected
  5. OPERA WOOD – Qualified in 1’19”6 at Le Mans on 13 May. With Eric Raffin as the driver he cannot be underestimated
  6. ORIZON – Qualified in 1’17”8 at Caen on 5 May. He is well bred and is from a stable that does well with their two-year-olds
  7. ONLY THE BRAVE ONE – Qualified at Le Croise-Laroche on 26 June in 1’17”4. Has a lot more to show if he is to be competitive
  8. OK BERTRANGE – Finished 6th in a Class F at Le Touquet over 2,100m on 14 July 2026. Will need to improve on his debut performance
  9. OPEN D’OAM – Not disgraced when fifth in a Class F at Bernay over 2,300m on 12 July 2026. Will need to up his game to feature
    Summary: Most of the field are recent qualifiers having their first official race and on that basis OCELOT DU PONT (1) could be worth following. He qualified is a good time and is well bred. The same applies to OKAVANGO (2) who will have Benjamin Rochard as his driver. ORIZON (6) and ONYX D’AVRIL (4) both come from stables that have a good record with their youngsters so they need to be considered.

  11. NEO – Made short work of rivals in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 19 June 2026. That was an impressive debut and he can win again
  12. NELSON DU RIB – Disqualified in a Class C over 750m at Cabourg on 10 July. Will need to up his game to be competitive
  13. NAPOLITANO VERO – Disqualified in a Class A at Vincennes over 2,700m on 8 February 2026. Another coming back from a break but could place if ready
  14. NUAGE MYSTIC – Victorious in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,050m on 3 July 2026. He is looking for a hat-trick and which is achievable
  15. NELOMBO BELLO – Only modest and finished 7th in a Class C at Enghien over 2,150m on 11 July 2026. Will need to do more to be a threat
  16. NEVADA JAMES – Finished 4th in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,700m on 31 March 2026. This is his first run after an almost four-month break but he could run well racing fresh
  17. NEMO DU VARLET – A mediocre fifth in a Class B at Enghien over 2,875m on 25 June 2026. Has struggled recently and is best overlooked in this event
  18. NICOU CHAK – Showed improvement when fourth in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 1 July 2026. He was putting a strong finish and needs to respected
  19. NOVIALO – Finished fourth in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 23 June 2026. Eric Raffin rode him to victory three runs back and he will be back aboard for this race
  20. NOURKIS – Finished 6th in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 1 July 2026. Would do well to run a place in this company
  21. NEED YOU MESLOIS – Excellent runner-up in a Class C at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,775m on 27 June 2026. He is closing in on a win and with the help of Benjamin Rochard he could achieve that goal
    Summary: There was a lot to like about the manner in which NEO (2) won his last start at La Capelle and there could be more to come from him. NEED YOU MESLOIS (12) is improving with each run and this race provides him with the ideal opportunity to claim a victory. NUAGE MYSTIC (5) is looking to notch up his third successive victory while NOVIALO (10) looks a threat teaming up with Eric Raffin again.

  24. MACUMBA DU VIVIER – Disqualified in a Class D over 2650m at Le Sables D’Olonne on 11 July. This will be her third run for her new trainer and she now looks primed for a big performance
  25. MACARENA – Runner-up in a Class E at Enghien over 2,875m on 4 July 2026. She has proven herself at this track and should be competitive as long as she can stay focused
  26. MILADY DE LA PIECE – Outclassed the opposition in a Class E at Enghien over 2,875m on 25 June 2026. She comes off an impressive last win and is ideally placed at the top of the earnings bracket
  27. MAJUSCULE – Third in a Class D at Enghien over 2,250m on 27 June 2026. Has been racing in mounted races and will battle in this event. Will race fully shod
  28. MIRZA DU BOUILLON – Has only been modest and finished 6th in a Class D at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,650m on 11 July 2026. Based on recent form she cannot be fancied
  29. MOON DES ARRIS – Successful in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,725m on 3 July 2026. She has hit her best form and should be competitive
  30. MISS EUROPA – Disqualified in a Class H over 2550m at Bacqueville en Caux on 12 July, Previous form was decent so could place on a good day
  31. MAYA D’AUBRIERE – Has been moderate of late and finished 8th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,150m on 1 July 2026. She will need to up her game to feature
  32. MA BICHE NOA – Showed some improvement when fourth in a Class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,925m on 8 July 2026. Does need to keep her mind on the the task at hand to have any chance
  33. MINERVE DE VANDEL – Victorious in a Class E at Agen Le Passage over 2,575m on 17 June 2026. She is in top form and should be a threat despite her place on the second row
  34. MILKA DES THUYAS – A moderate 6th in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,100m on 7 February 2026. Has little to offer based on recent form
  35. MANILLE D’ERABLE – Finished 11th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,050m on 10 July 2026. Recent form has been poor and she looks unlikely to feature
  36. MASCOTT DU CHOQUEL – Outclassed the opposition in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,050m on 10 July 2026. Benjamin Rochard was aboard her last time and they will be teaming up again
    Summary: MILADY DE LA PIECE (5) won with authority last time and has found the perfect vehicle to make it two wins in succession. MACARENA (4) could provide the main threat, but she will need to keep her mind on the job. MINERVE DE VANDEL (12) is racing at the top of her game and will be teaming up with Raffin again. MACUMBA DU VIVIER (3) can redeem herself after having made a mistake last time.

  39. DUKE OF NEW YORK – Unplaced in a Class D over 2850m at Vincennes on 19 June, Has yet to win in France but is does have some potential and could contest the finish
  40. L’AMOUR – Finished 5th in a Class E over 1800m at La Capelle on 7 July. After two races he should have enough experience to be competitive
  41. SEVEN SEAS S – Was 5th in a Class D over 2850m at Vincennes on 9 June. Overall form has been mediocre and will need to show more
  42. LE ROCKER DE PLAY – Disqualified last time out in a Class E at Cherbourg over 2,625m on 24 June 2026. Won his penultimate start but needs is not consistent
  43. TAURUS CROWN – Unplaced in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,850m on 19 June 2026. Things did not go his way last time and the fact Eric Raffin has stuck with him is significant
  44. READY HILL – Winner of a Class E over 2700m at Vincennes on 27 January. Coming back from a break but does stand out as the runner to beat, especially returning unshod
  45. LOUVIERS – Runner-up in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Chartres over 2,800m on 28 June 2026. Will be facing stronger this time and will need to show more
  46. LOTUS DE BEYLEV – Only modest of late and finished 6th in a Class D at Le Croise-Laroche over 1,900m on 22 June 2026. He is performing better than his rating and could continue the good run
    Summary: READY HILL (8) comes back from a layoff after an impressive victory, but since he is retuning to race without shoes, he should be primed for a good run. TAURUS CROWN (7) may have disappointed last time out but he is better than that and should not be ignored. L’AMOUR (4) looks ready to show his best, while DUKE OF NEW YORK (3) appears to have potential and now needs to be considered.

  49. IGUANE DE CAPONET – Successful in a Class D at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,775m on 6 July. A solid winner that day and is not out of it
  50. GUERRIER CASTELETS – Showed promise and was third in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,700m on 12 June. Unreliable but has a place chance in this line-up
  51. HELIOS SI – Unreliable and was unplaced in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,700m on 12 June. Capable of doing better but others are preferred
  52. HOMARD LAND – Did not show his best when 6th in a Class A at Vincennes over 2,850m on 21 June. Should fight out the finish
  53. CHARMY CHARLY AS – Finished 3rd in at Berlin-Mariendorf over 2500m on 30 June. Tougher task but might play a minor role at very best
  54. HOLD UP DU SAPTEL – Unreliable and finished 6th in a Class B over this course and distance on 11 July. Needs to do more to score
  55. JOTUNN DU DOME – Disqualified last time out in a Group 3 at Enghien over 2,875m on 4 July. In good form before that and should be a threat to these rivals
  56. HABIT DE SOIREE – Showed some improvement when ifth in a Class B over this track and trip on 11 July. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  57. JE TE CHERCHE – Outclassed the opposition in a Class B at this course over 2,150m on 23 May. Complted a hat-trick and can add another win to the tally
    Summary: JE TE CHERCHE (11) is bidding for a fourth consecutive victory and will naturally attract plenty of support. JOTUNN DU DOME (9), deserves another chance and looks one of the main dangers. HOMARD LAND (6), whose latest run can be excused is another IGUANE DE CAPONET (3) has returned to peak form and is another that could trouble the judge.

  63. LYRE D’ERABLE – Victorious in a Class E at Le Mans over 2,950m on 21 May. Not reliable but cannot be ruled out from doubling up
  64. LITTLE DU RIB – Usually competitive and was fourth in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,850m on 19 June. Can get into the mix of things yet again
  65. LUNE LUMALO – Not disgraced when fifth in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 3 July. Has some fair form and could earn some minor money at best

    Summary: LA KIFFANCE PIYA (14) has a fine opportunity to return to winning ways and should be highly competitive. LESPANA DU BOCAGE (3), currently in top form, can give her a strong challenge if she remains focused. LEGENDE DE NILREM (13), specifically prepared for this race has to be respected. LOLLIPOP DU CEBE (12), reunited with Mathieu Mottier is also capable of playing a role of the outcome.

    Summary: Back on home soil TROGIR (1) reunites with Benjamin Rochard and gets the tentative preference. He is selected ahead of EVER SO MUCH (5), who is knocking on the door. BOTTNAS JUSTIN (10), was unlucky at Cabourg, and could contest the finish. BEENTHERESEENTHAT (13) has not always had the rub of the green but is capable of making the frame.

  101. MOURILLON – Theatening a victory and was runner-up in class C at Vincennes over 2700m on 19 June. Can go one place better
  102. MAESTRO DU CHOQUEL – Disqualified twice in a row, the latest in class B at Vincennes over 2700m on 29 May. Not easy to trust but can make some money when smart
    Summary: MEYDAN VOIRONS (4) has only eight starts to his name and faces this level of opposition for the first time, but he created a big impression on this track last time out, leaving his rivals trailing. Racing barefoot for the occasion, he is capable of scoring again. He will, however, need to see off the “Duvaldestin” pair MONTANA KALOUMA (9), whose chances depend on staying focused, and MAVERICK DE FAEL (13), who has been faultless since the beginning of his career. MERCURE D’ELLE (10) has yet to reveal his full potential and, with Benjamin Rochard in the sulky, must be regarded as a contender as well.

  3. NUIT TORRIDE – Showed good improvement and was a winner in a Class 3 Condition Hurdle at Clairefontaine over 3,400m on 29 June 2026. One to pay attention to
  4. NIKARIA – Victorious in a Class 5 Conditions Hurdle at Dieppe over 3,400m on 27 June. Can make her presence felt
  5. TAJMALY – Unplaced in a Class 3 Condition Hurdle at Clairefontaine over 3,400m on 15 July. Others make more appeal
  6. ROSA MIA – Unplaced on the flat on July 2, and a win over 2500m at Argentan on the flat on June 10 in a handicap. Hurdles debut and others preferred
    Summary: NALKO DES MOTTES (1) won with a game success on his latest start at Dieppe in mid-June and this lightly raced gelding has a good deal more to come. He can edge this over NIKARIA (4), who won with authority at Dieppe on June 27 and also can improve from that success. NUIT TORRIDE (3) is unbeaten in two starts and warrants close attention, with a hat-trick not out of the question. LA GENETTE (2) completes the shortlist.

  11. VANEADI – Fair 5th last time on June 27 over hurdles, a win before that at Compiegne in a claiming hurdle over 3200m on May 28. Place claims on chase debut
  12. EVA DE ROCHE – Finished 6th last time in a Class 2 hurdle on June 27, a win before that over 3550m at Chateaubriant on May 5 in a Class 3 hurdle. Can be expected to be well schooled for this chase debut and has to be considered
  13. THE GREY FEJAA – Finished 5th over 3400m in a hurdle race at this track on June 24 when last appearing. Chasing bow and is best watched for now
    Summary: ROYAL MARVEL (1) can be rewarded for his consistency over hurdles and get off the mark on his chasing bow. His chief rival could be KAPLINO (3), who can make things interesting having shown plenty of promise when second at Compiegne on his penultimate start over hurdles, and has the scope to make a chaser. VANEADI (5) won a claiming hurdle two runs back and should be well schooled by connections for her chasing bow. EVA DE ROCHE (6) is also worth a mention.

  58. HOLD MY DREAMS – Colt by Oasis Dream, the dam was unraced in France. Likely to improve for this run and is best watched with the future in mind
  59. PARDO BAY – Colt by New Bay, the dam won 3 races including a Listed race. One to consider if the betting vibes are active with a top-class jockey booked to ride

    Summary: NOVA LUXOR (4) has been gelded after two promising runs in the spring, the latest when third at Saint-Cloud in a competitive maiden. He is given the nod over the well-bred LACE FLOWER (14), who is out of a classy mare that won a Listed and a Group 2 race and was placed in a Group 1. She will be well tuned, as will ABERDEEN (15), who has some good aspects to her profile and can have a say in the finish. KANEWKO (6) is another to consider after showing promise on debut last year.

ZIPPERE (8) could be one for the each-way backers to take seriously after a creditable effort at Saint-Cloud 17 days ago. EL PROFESSOR CHOP (9) was second in the same race and can not be ruled out.

This looks a good opportunity for her to break her maiden. MELEAGRINE (13) has been admirably consistent and is expected to provide the main threat. MABRISKA (9) produced her best performance of the year when runner-up at Le Lion-d’Angers in mid-May and is capable of another bold showing. MOLLY DE GASCOGNE (4) impressed when scoring at Nantes on 1 July and can be involved.
