C1 – PRIX MIMAS – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 |
1. KEA DES RACQUES – 3rd to KLASSICA DESBOIS (9) in 7 May race of reference before coming 6th of 14 in a 2700m Class C here 3 weeks ago and will need to raise her game
2. KANTARELLINA CHIC – Below-par this year, latterly 12th of 13 in a 2100m Class D here a month ago. Shoes back on and even though Raffin stays faithful, she still looks to have her work cut out
3. KISS ME WINNER – Progressive filly starting for the first time since faulting in a Class C over course and distance almost 4 months ago and will be race-rusty
4. KEMILLA DE BRION – Barring a late-April sanction, has been in flying form this year, most recently 2nd of 14 in a Class D over track and trip a month back. Would have won had she been afforded a run and can redeem herself
5. KEMBLA – Makes first appearance since coming 10th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B 6 months ago and, even with hind shoes off, can be ignored
6. KASSANDRA WIND – 3rd of 13 in a 2100m Class D here on 10 May. Has never failed to deliver at Vincennes and has every chance of making the frame once more
7. KARINA STEED – Won a Class B at La Rochelle before faulting in a 2450m Caen Gr.2 on 11 May. Should not be too hastily judged and has the capacity to pick up some prizemoney
8. KISS ME DE NAVARY – Pleased at Enghien before finishing 7th of 14 in a 2700m Class C 3 weeks ago. Franck Nivard reining this time and can go closer
9. KLASSICA DESBOIS – Won a Class D over course and distance before trotting 5th of 14 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 3 weeks ago and with shoes off again should logically finish closer this time
10. KISS ME DOMPIERRE – 11th of 14 in a 2700m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Unshod-all-4 on this occasion and has every chance of trotting her way onto the podium
Summary: KEMILLA DE BRION (4) has turned a corner this year, most recently missing out by the smallest of margins to KLASSICA DESBOIS (9) in a Class D over course and distance a month back, and Matthieu Abrivard will legitimately bid to turn the tables. KISS ME DOMPIERRE (10) is not the easiest of horses to gauge but is first time barefoot, with Yoann Lebourgeois at the helm, and can file his recent performance to the history books. The versatile KASSANDRA WIND (6) has been holding her own lately and is unlikely to go home empty-handed.

C2 – PRIX RADIO LATINA (PRIX ADALBERTA) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000 |
1. FLAMBOYANT DU RIB – 4th over track and trip mid-May before being pulled-up in a 3000m Eauze Class A on 26 May and, even with modified shoeing, can expect to have few takers
2. GILBERTO – Last of 13 in a 2400m Montauban Class D on 20 May. Has been off the boil all year, and even though sporting a previous configuration, will have limited prospects
3. GRANIT DU FRESNE – Last of 12 when prepping for this in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class D on 19 May. Unshod-all-4 this time and must be considered a live chance
4. GRAND SOURIRE – Won at Fougères on 1 May before coming 7th of 12 in a 2850m Loudéac Class E 10 days later. Has fine Vincennes credentials and is very much in the running
5. FARCEUR DE MAI – Unraced since coming 4th of 12 in a 2875m Enghien monté Class D last October. Has other priorities and can be ruled out
6. GIPSY DU RIED – Going decently when sanctioned in a 2550m Reims Class E on 20 May. Starts in front here but appears to be biting off more than she can chew
7. GUI D’ERABLE – 9th of 15 when being conditioned in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago. Has never delivered over this distance but is in his category, returns to racing barefoot, and can play an active role
8. GIANT MADRIK – 5th of 17 in a 2625m Class B at La Rochelle on 12 May. Excels with Matthieu Abrivard, ran 2nd on lone start under these conditions, and can impose
9. GARDON – Last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class B a fortnight ago, on first start since the spell. Shoes off this time and will be expected to apply the pressure on GIANT MADRIK (8)
10. GALIE DE CELINIERE – 8th of 12 in a 2850m Class D conditioner here 2 weeks ago. Barefoot as she was when imposing over course and distance earlier in the year, but takes on the boys and more a minor place chance this time
11. FILOU DE L’ELLE – 10th of 11 finishers in a 3225m Vitré Class E last Sunday. 6th of 16 under these conditions mid-May and will be worth monitoring
12. GENERAL – Below-par on the whole this year, latterly pulled-up in a 2875m Enghien monté Class D a fortnight ago and, shod this time, can be passed over
13. GETEHI DU NOYER – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 15 in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Breaks from the rear, but Franck Nivard has stayed faithful, and should not be overlooked
14. FAUCON DE L’ALBA – Surprise 5th, behind FLAMBOYANT DU RIB (1), in a Class D over course and distance mid-May. Handed an unappealing draw and is not about to repeat
15. FELINE DE MIRANDA – Returns to racing left-handed after coming 5th of 18 in a 2725m Lisieux Class E on 26 May. Plainly in fine form but the draw will do her no favours
16. GUEPARD DE TILLARD – Disappointing since last autumn, most recently 8th of 12 in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class D on 19 May. Poorly-drawn and even with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, will struggle to make his mark
Summary: Solid 5th to the good Ibiki De Houelle last time out, GIANT MADRIK (8) has been aimed marginally lower this time and in spite of a wide draw, looks the one to beat. GARDON (9) has not been lucky with the draw either but is barefoot following his seasonal bow and looks the main threat. Back to conditions he appreciates, GRAND SOURIRE (4) races barefoot for the occasion, is ideally-positioned behind the car, and has already won for Benjamin Rochard. Starting on his inside, GRANIT DU FRESNE (3) is reunited with Eric Raffin who drove him close here earlier in the season.

C3 – PRIX TROPIQUES FM (PRIX MARSIK) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 |
1. JAG ROYAL – Like a horse reborn since the start of the year, most recently winning a Class E under these conditions on 3 May. In better company this time but the nature of his success bodes well for his chances of securing the double
2. JO LIGNERIES – Unseen since coming 9th of 15 in a 2100m Class D here last September and will need the outing
3. JAMSHIR – Honest type that came 5th of 14 in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 12 May. Aimed higher this time and not an obvious choice
4. JUPITER MADRIK – Sanctioned, when unsupported, in a 2700m Class D at Le Croisé-Laroche late last month and can be confidently ruled out
5. JOYEUX DU LANDRET – Winner, for the 2nd time since returning to competition, of a 2850m Laval Class E on 25 April. Comes here fresh and, while unlikely to impose, can nevertheless make first 5
6. JOUTEUR D’AUGE – Has twice failed to confirm his Graignes victory, most recently 8th behind JOHORE (12) in a 2850m Laval Class E 2 weeks ago, and can be disregarded
7. JUSTIN DES MARAIS – Put behind him a string of disappointments when winning a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E on 19 May. Has no love for Vincennes though and can be passed over
8. JIOSCO DES OMBRES – Returned from his winter spell in fine fettle. 2nd of 18 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 3 weeks ago and, although unproven under these conditions, his form is hard to ignore
9. JUST FOR FUN – Respectable 6th of 11 finishers in a 2100m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Is not about to shake things up but can nonetheless get a look-in
10. JACK DU CAUX – Moderate 5th of 7 finishers in a 2700m Class D at Le Croisé-Laroche just over 2 weeks ago. Shoes on this time and will pose no danger
11. JUMBO JACK – Has not been seen out since trotting 5th of 14 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 20 April. Not a priority but stable going strongly and is worth keeping an eye on
12. JOHORE – Showed improvement, on 2nd start back, when missing out by little in a 2850m Laval Class E a fortnight ago. Shod for the first time at Vincennes but should not be ruled out
13. JASMIN DU NORD – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle on 10 May. Has placed twice under these conditions and, entrusted to Eric Raffin this time, is unlikely to be far off the mark
14. JUPITER DU CORTA – 3rd to JAG ROYAL (1) in a Class E over track and trip early last month and will be more performant if he stays in stride this time. Chance
15. JUST BUILT – Would have finished close in a 2700m Class D at Le Croisé-Laroche on 22 May had he stayed in stride. Is nevertheless in better company on this occasion and chances limited
16. JOUR D’ERABLE – Won at Lisieux before faulting in a 2450m Caen Class D a month ago. Is clearly in form though, has never disappointed over course and distance, and with application will be dangerous
Summary: Revitalised since moving to Eric Bondo’s yard, JAG ROYAL (1) romped home over course and distance early last month and is eminently capable of repeating. Gabriele Gelormini will still be keeping a watchful eye on a barefoot JUPITER DU CORTA (14) who finished 3rd to him that day before confirming at Meslay-du-Maine, and JASMIN DU NORD (13) who is plainly close to his race. JOUR D’ERABLE (16) has won 2 of his last 4, including under these conditions, and will be competitive if David Thomain keeps him trotting.

1. STARO MOJITO – Has not been seen out since coming 9th of 13 in a 2050m Agen Class E 3 months ago and has no realistic chance
2. GAYLORD AM – Won well at Cholet before coming 3rd of 16 in a 2825m Class E at Le Croisé-Laroche on 22 May. Good under these conditions earlier in the year and can again make first 5
3. HIDDEN TEXAS – Sanctioned early in a 2625m Class B at La Rochelle on 12 May. Picks up a cheque for the most part when he can stay in stride but other more attractive options are available
4. KING COLE (SWE) – Won a Class D over course and distance a fortnight ago. Simply thrives under these conditions and has a realistic chance of repeating
5. HAMILTON DU HAM – Sanctioned on return from his spell before coming 6th to KING SCHERMER (7) in a 2150m Enghien Class A on 25 May. Is plainly on the way up and finds a good opportunity to successfully kickstart the summer
6. FOGO PICO – Produced the goods for Mathieu Mottier mid-May in a 2100m Class D here. Eric Raffin reining this time and will be assured a competitive drive
7. KING SCHERMER – Fine servant that finished a fine 2nd of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class A 2 weeks ago. Has references over track and trip and can again finish close
8. ZINKO TOP – 11th of 16 in a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Respectable at the start of the year but has since gone off the boil and must get his house in order
9. HELP ME WIN – Has bags of ability but dependability not her strong suit, latterly 8th of 16 in a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Has decent references over 2850m here though and will have his supporters
10. GINO VIVA – 4th over course and distance before finishing 10th of 14 under these conditions a month ago. Just front pads fitted this time and others easier to back
11. HOVE PONT VAUTIER – Tricky character that came in 12th of 16 in a Class C over 2700m here 2 weeks ago. Is undeniably better than that though and can get a look-in this time
12. ROCKY TILLY – Encouraged at Toulouse before faulting in a 2950m Vichy Class D mid-May, and looks out of his depth
13. BOLERO GAR – Completely out of the picture this year, latterly last of 14 in a 2150m Enghien Class B 2 weeks ago, and can be written off
14. HOBBES – Last of 14 on comeback in a 2700m Class C here a week ago. Front pads fitted again and others preferred
15. EREGON DE JUPILLES – Won at Hyères before coming 4th of 17 in a 3000m Class C at Salon-de-Provence a fortnight ago. Is in more exalted company this time but will be reined by Benjamin Rochard and should not be overlooked
16. HAVE SEVEN – Drops back in category after coming 8th of 16 in a Class C over 2700m here a fortnight ago. Ideally-positioned at the limit of earnings and can challenge for a place on the podium
Summary: One of the most consistent horses in his category, KING COLE (SWE) (4) won smartly under these conditions just 2 weeks ago and, if still capable of trotting 1’12’’1, he can make it 2 on the trot. That said, HAMILTON DU HAM (5) showed improvement at Enghien following his spell and, even though new to 2850m over the main track, still looks capable of turning the tables on the faithful KING SCHERMER (7) who had his measure that day. HAVE SEVEN (16) may have been struggling lately but he benefits from a good entry here and can start to get back in the game.

1. FUNKY ROC – Sanctioned early in the race of reference but nevertheless showed his form, and can get in on the action if he stays in stride
2. LISSANDRO – Came 2nd over course and distance before faulting in a Class C under similar conditions a fortnight ago. JMB out to set the record straight and should not be underestimated
3. FIDELIS DANCE – Defied his 80/1 to finish 5th to FRANK GIO (13) in a Class A over course and distance on 21 May. A repeat however seems improbable
4. L’AS DESBOIS – Made up for April sanction when 3rd to FRANK GIO (13) in a Class A over course and distance on 21 May and the new configuration will do his place prospects no harm
5. FERAHAN AS – Gives a good account for the most part at home in Italy but can expect to find the going tough on French debut
6. OMERTA BOKO – Quality element making French debut after faulting in a 2140m Solvalla Gr.1 12 days ago. Stays shod and others easier to back
7. LE CAP – Has merit but 7th of 8 finishers behind FRANK GIO (13) last month and, even reverting to a previous configuration, will again have his work cut out
8. LOBBING DE BLARY – Honest mare that came 4th in the race of reference. First time with hind pads fitted but still has more to find
9. LOOPING DAY – Good 2nd to FRANK GIO (13) in 21 May race of reference after having imposed at Vichy. Is plainly a colt for the future and will be in the thick of things at the business end of the race
10. LIGHT MY FIRE – Won a Class A over course and distance by a good margin on 30 April. Has freshness on his side and can make a big splash if Franck Nivard keeps him trotting
11. LOGAN JIEL – Has not been seen out since faulting in a Gr.1 over track and trip last February. Hind pads fitted for re-entry and but still no more than a minor place prospect
12. LEONARDO ROC – Useful colt making his first start since coming last of 5 in a 2175m Gr.3 here on 19 April. Has excellent course-and-distance credentials though and must not be underestimated
13. FRANK GIO – Has won 2 on the trot since the spell, most recently imposing with ease in a Class A over track and trip on 21 May and has every chance of pulling off the 3-timer
Summary: Sébastien Guarato could not have asked for a better entry for his classy Italian import FRANK GIO (13) who has won 2 in a row over course and distance and who justifiably bids for the hat-trick. LOOPING DAY (9) finished a length behind him in 2nd that day and, with Eric Raffin reining, should again figure prominently, but may first have to give way to the complicated but talented LIGHT MY FIRE (10) who has had time to recuperate from his late-April course-and-distance romp. Very hard to knock when applied, L’AS DESBOIS (4) finished 3rd in the race of reference and, with 4 pads fitted for the first time, will be no easy touch.

1. LISBETH DRY – Sanctioned on French debut on 21 May in race of reference and appears to have her work cut out
2. FANNY BREED – Seldom out of the picture when applied. Debuts in France after faulting in Naples but has front pads fitted, with Franck Nivard reining, and will be afforded every chance
3. LARA DU GOUTIER – Has ability but below-par 7th to LONDON (10) in race of reference and will need to raise her game
4. LUMINOUS STAR – Dependable filly that trotted 3rd to LONDON (10) in a Class A over course and distance on 21 May, and with pads fitted this time can again trot her way onto the podium
5. LIPANGA DE GUEZ – A place behind LOVE LETTER (8) in Gr.2 Prix Masina before faulting early in Gr.2 Prix Ozo, and not a priority
6. LUMINOSITY – Did not live up to expectations when 5th in race of reference but Matthieu Abrivard stays faithful and will be out to put things right
7. LUSH LIFE – Quality filly but has yet to impress since securing her hat-trick. Sanctioned in Gr.2 Prix Ozo over 2175m here 10 days ago but will have her chances if David Thomain assures her initial strides
8. LOVE LETTER – Justifiably well-regarded sort that faulted in a 2175m Gr.2 here 10 days ago. Reverts to racing with just front pads and can set the record straight. Claim
9. LAYLA – Showed the limit of her capacity when last of 9 in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Ozo here 10 days ago and can be passed over
10. LONDON – Capricious but capable type that won a Class A over track and trip with consummate ease on 21 May and looks the main danger to LOVE LETTER (8)
11. LIZY JOSSELYN – Has evident merit but sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly 2175m Gr.2 Prix Ozo here 10 days ago, and has nothing to offer
12. LA FEE DU NOYER – Impressive 2nd to LONDON (10) in 21 May race of reference on first start following the break. Will have come on for the run and looks a major player
Summary: 4th in the Gr.2 Prix Masina over course and distance a month ago, LOVE LETTER (8) lost her action next time in Gr.2 Prix Ozo, but nevertheless showed her form and, with just front pads fitted this time, can bring home the bacon if Julien Dubois keeps her trotting. It will not be all plane sailing though if the complicated LONDON (10) replicates her recent performance under similar conditions. Respectively 2nd and 3rd that day, LA FEE DU NOYER (12) and a padded LUMINOUS STAR (4) will be competitive for a place in the frame.

1. GASPARD DES LOUPS – 12th of 14 on re-entry in a 2600m Nancy Class E a week ago. Barefoot this time but others still preferred
2. ITALIA SOLO – 3rd of 11, behind IDOLA PHEDO (3), 1n a 2450m Caen Class F 3 weeks ago. Gets on well with Estelle Croisic and can make first 5
3. IDOLA PHEDO – Got back in the game 3 weeks ago when 2nd of 11 in a 2450m Caen Class F. Raffin back in the irons and must be taken seriously
4. IKURO JIEL – Complicated type but regularly in the thick of things when focused, most recently 3rd to IMPERIAL COGLAIS (6) in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F mid-May, and should not be too far from the action
5. IVANA DE BERTRANGE – Consistently acquits herself competitively, latterly 4th in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F on 26 May, but has more to find this time around
6. IMPERIAL COGLAIS – Dependable trotter that returned to winning ways mid-May when securing a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F with authority. Is proven under these conditions and should not be far from the action
7. IDEAL GREEN – Switches code after coming an unlucky 12th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class C mid-May. 2nd at Caen last time under the saddle and it would be no surprise to see him impose here
8. GRINGO SAVA – Sanctioned, when still being conditioned, in a 2825m harness Class E at Le Croisé-Laroche on 22 May. Shoes on again and no danger
9. FASCINANT – Starts for the first time since trotting 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 18 February and appears to need another run
10. INBREED – Seldom gets his nose in front, most recently a well-beaten 4th of 9 in a 2950m Vichy Class F on 13 May, and can expect to have few friends
11. ISOCRATE D’ELA – Makes first appearance since trotting 3rd of 11 in a 2175m Class D here on 30 April. Clément Frecelle onboard this time and will be expected to play an active role at the finish
12. HARDI CROWN – Stormed up in a 2175m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Steps up in category but still looks a leading contender
Summary: IDEAL GREEN (7) may not have been seen under the saddle since 2022 but has shown potential and, partnered by François Lagadeuc on his return to the code, can get straight down to business. HARDI CROWN (12) was rewarded with a maiden monté victory over 2175m here and a similar performance could well see him double up. Improving all the while, ISOCRATE D’ELA (11) has taken well to his new vocation, comes here fresh, and will be competitive for a spot in the first 3. IDOLA PHEDO (3) may not be the most dependable horse here but she reassured at Caen when entrusted to Eric Raffin and is unlikely to let the side down.

1. LOVE ME JIVE – Sanctioned in both public appearances to date, latterly a 2200m Mamers Class G on 20 May, and will garner little to no support
2. LIBERTE D’EOLE – 8th of 14 in a 2200m Vichy harness Class F late last month. Has yet to show any aptitude for either code and is not about to buck the trend
3. LEONA DU GITE – Authoritative winner of a 2850m Laon Class F on 26 May. Makes Vincennes debut with morale intact and the inner track should suit her to a tee. Place prospect
4. LIONELLE DU SOLEIL – Opened her account at Laon in early-May before having 5th taken away from her after a decent effort behind LA LAGOSTERIA (5) 3 weeks later. Front pads fitted this time but others still preferred
5. LA LAGOSTERIA – Left a good impression when 2nd of 11 in a Class D over track and trip on 21 May. Shoes back on but still has the class to win a race of this nature
6. LUXELLA – Sanctioned, when favourite, in a 2325m Toulouse Class D a week ago. Mathieu Mottier takes over in the saddle and can give this a good go
7. LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Missed out by little in a 2450m Caen Class E 3 weeks ago and can play a leading role if Victor Saussaye manages to keep her trotting
8. LA HAGUE – Gave a fine account to come 2nd of 10 in a 2325m Toulouse Class D on monté debut last weekend, and if still on the boil, can fight out the finish
9. LOLA DU CLOS – 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m harness Class C here a fortnight ago when preparing for this. Should appreciate the shorter trip and can put things right. Chance
Summary: Sanctioned on debut, LA LAGOSTERIA (5) showed a different side to herself late last month when close 2nd over 2175m on the main track. She will have come on for the run, should take well to the inner course and, even though shod, can still make this her own. Alexandre Abrivard will nevertheless be wary of LOLA DU CLOS (9) who should not be too hastily judged for last month’s performance here. LOVELY CHENEVIERE (7) has started to make good on her promise and can play another active role, as can LEONA DU GITE (3) who steps up in category after making short work of a Laon Class F.

4. IL CAPO – Runner-up in three of his six appearances, including consecutive recent outings – the latest over 2400m at Layon-Parilly on 18 May. Winning chance
5. MOULIN BLANC – Consistent for the most part and shouldn’t be hastily condemned following his last-start 6th in a 2400m conditions race at Lyon-Parilly on 18 May
6. L’HORLOGE – Caught the eye when straying on to finish 3rd behind IL CAPO (4) over 2400m at Lyon-Parilly on 18 May. SHould have a role to play on better weight terms

Summary: IL CAPO (4) has never finished worse than 5th and wouldn’t be winning out of turn after consecutive near misses recently. L’HORLOGE (6) is likely to emerge as his biggest threat if confirming the improvement of recent displays. LADY MANA (2) has shown enough to suggest that she could play a leading role too, especially if improving for the step up to this distance in her first outing for Maxime Cesandri.
