‘Tuck’ into your ‘Dreams’ and ready to win, ‘Dad!’

Tuck Your Shirt In na – 9.00
resonated from fastidious time-handicap study and is worth waiting for in the National Hunt Flat Race over two miles of ‘good to firm’ Newton Abbot tonight.
Trouble is most of you will be well and truly tucked up in bed when this Joe Tickle-trained four-year-old Sixties Icon gelding goes ‘Bumper’ battle under champion jockey, Harry Cobden; English time will be 9pm!
There was a lot to like about the debut run of the brilliantly-named Tuck Your Shirt In, around Worcester six weeks ago, when Harry’s mount, an 11/1 chance, was prominent throughout and even after being headed some way from home stayed on resolutely to finish a three lengths third (of 12) to our 9/2 winning nap selection, Wiltshire Wonder, superbly-ridden by Brodie Hampson.
Runner-up was Jonjo Neill’s Montana Golden, backed into favouritism but beaten two and three quarter lengths; put this one in your note-book, now!
Given experience, from specialising with this-type race, I’m as confident as one can be to suggest ‘Tuck’ rates a gilt-edged betting proposition.
Some three and a half hours earlier Harry will climb aboard unchallenged 25 lengths Fakenham winner
Seeyoinmydreams na – 5.35
for the nine-runner Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle over the minimum trip which will give me a direct race-time comparison to the ‘Bumper!’
Paul Nicholls trains Seeyouinmydreams and will be expecting his ‘Champion’ to supplement gains on the Telescope six-year-old.
Harry stated clearly he wouldn’t be too keen to get into battle for another jockeys’ championship but having tasted the fruitfulness both he anD Paul seem up to attempting a repeat; winning is wonderful, I won the National Sporting Life/Racing Post Naps Journalist Award eight times, dominating the nineties, and it felt wonderful to be the best!
Unfortunately age has affected my resolve somewhat; youth is all about energy and inclination but this season is going well and perhaps I might just challenge again come October!
You can’t beat experience and
I Love Dad yo – 2.25
meets median requirement head on, after four outings, for the Rous Selling Stakes over six furlongs of ‘good to firm’ York!
