French Selections Friday 28th

R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX ISIS – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000

1. IDAHO (SWI) – Honest mare that was sanctioned in Enghien race of reference. Acquits himself well for the most part but cannot be considered a player

2. CAROLYN FRANCIS – Last of 10 finishers, on re-entry, in Enghien race of reference and has no possible chance

3. LET IT BE VP – Disappointing this term, most recently faulting in a 2800m Chartres monté Class F 9 days ago, and is not about to cause an upset

4. NINEPOINTS LASSE – Has yet to make his mark in Paris, most recently faulting in Enghien race of reference. Caught the eye last time and will have a lot to offer if Matthieu Abrivard keeps him trotting

5. CRALGIDO SM – Gave a fine account to run 3rd of 16 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 15 June. Is barefoot again, with Mathieu Mottier reining, but still no more than a minor place chance

6. ILIADE (SWE) – 8th to CRALGIDO SM (5) in a 2875m Enghien Class D mid-month. Races barefoot, with Alexandre Abrivard reining, and must not be underestimated

7. INKY PERRINE – Lost her action in a 2450m Caen Class D earlier in the month. Has placed under these conditions but takes on a superior bunch this time and can be disregarded

8. COLBERT WF – Makes his French debut off the back of a 2060m victory in Naples mid-May. Comes here fresh, with hind shoes off, and Eric Raffin reining will do his prospects no disservice. First 5

9. IGGY ROCK – Ultra-consistent type that came 2nd of 14 in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class E a fortnight ago. Is not known for his prowess racing left-handed though and others preferred

10. IMPACT PLAYER – Form has regressed since retuning to the track last month and will need to improve on his 11th of 18 in a 2825m Sablé-sur-Sarthe Class D on 9 June

11. IDEAL SAN LEANDRO – Returns to Vincennes after finishing 2nd in a competitive 3100m event at Kouvola 2 weeks ago. Little doubt about his condition and even with shoes on can get a look-in

12. IPSON DU VERNAY – Won two at Hyères before running 7th behind CRALGIDO SM (5) in a 2875m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago, and can play an important part if he takes to the Vincennes profile

13. INSTINCT SAINT BAR – Seldom disappoints when unshod and focused, latterly 4th of 16 in a 3000m Nantes Class F on 3 June. First time barefoot and is not incapable of getting his nose in front

14. IN RED – Returned from his winter break in excellent shape, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 2850m Laon Class D, and has the wherewithal to impose this time

15. CHEMAR – Serious trotter that was sent for a break after coming 3rd in a Class C over course and distance early-March. Unseen since but is barefoot for the occasion and can play a part

Summary: Nicely-engaged here and impressive at Laon on just his second start back, IN RED (14) has already won twice for Gabi Gelormini, goes barefoot for the occasion, and can bring home the bacon. It’s unlikely to be all plane sailing though considering the condition INSTINCT SAINT BAR (13) has been in, and he gets the chance to race barefoot for the first time. Sanctioned in 3 of 4 since coming south, NINEPOINTS LASSE (4) nevertheless showed her form at Enghien mid-month and with application will be no pushover. 7th that day after having won 2 in the provinces, IPSON DU VERNAY (12) makes his Vincennes debut with a good hand to play.

SELECTIONS
IN RED (14) – INSTINCT SAINT BAR (13) – NINEPOINTS LASSE (4) – IPSON DU VERNAY (12)
C2 – PRIX EVA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000

1. KISS ME HONEY – Sanctioned when relatively competitive in a 2700m Gr.2 here 3 weeks ago. Has never been tried under 2700m but has a lot going for her here and can more than make up for her latest blunder. Claim

2. JEZABEL JENILOU – 5th behind LOOK OF LOVE (3) here before coming 7th of 8 in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 2 May. Is barefoot, breaks from the 2-spot, but still not easy to make a case

3. LOOK OF LOVE – 5th of 16 in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 24 May. Has taken her game to a new level since starting to race barefoot, gets on well with Pierre-Yves Verva, and from the 3-spot can figure more prominently this time

4. JUSTICIA GLAM – 5th of 12 in a 2850m monté Class B here earlier in the month. Won over track and trip on 3 May and will garner some support

5. JALMAROSA – Like a horse reborn over recent months, winning over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Steps up in category but is well-placed behind the car and will not be too far off the mark

6. KEMIA DU CHENE – 3rd of 10 finishers, at 51/1, in a 2700m Gr.2 here 3 weeks ago, leaving a very good impression. Returns with morale intact and can give KISS ME HONEY (1) a run for her money

7. KOUFRA IRIS’EYES – Classy filly that won over 2300m at Mons early-May, on first start back. Has never disappointed on the main track and the relatively wide draw should pose no issue. Place chance

8. JOUVENCE DE CAREL – Last of 14, when preparing for this, in a 2875m Enghien Class B a fortnight ago. Starts wide but goes barefoot for the first time, won her only start under these conditions, and is not to be underestimated

9. JAMAICA – Got back in the game at La Rochelle late-May when 2nd of 12 in a 2625m Class E, but in this field, barefoot or not, is no more than a capable also-ran

10. JAMES BOND GIRL – Returns to racing left-handed after coming last of 10, when being conditioned in a 3125m Angers Class D earlier this month. Won over track and trip in April and, barefoot again, must be respected

11. JOIE TOTALE – Made it 4 straight sanctions after faulting in a 3125m Angers Class D on 11 June. Won under these conditions earlier in the year and, if applied, can get a look-in

12. PICTURE PERFECT – 3rd to JALMAROSA (5) in a Class D over course and distance a fortnight ago. Is hard to knock when barefoot but takes on some tougher horses this time and is not a priority

13. JOURNEE REVEE – Disappointing in all 5 starts this year, most recently sanctioned in a 3125m Angers Class D on 11 June, and can be ruled out

14. KANAKA DE BUSSET – Makes her first appearance since coming last but one in a 2850m Gr.3 here early-February. Shoes on and no threat

15. DONNER AMOUR – Has not been seen out since faulting in a 2850m Class B here late-March. Is confirmed over track and trip but has been handed a tough draw and, in this company, will have little to offer

16. DENIA – Sanctioned, when clearly going well, in a 2850m monté Class B here on 11 June. Won under harness here a month earlier but the draw and category will only work against her

Summary: A good campaigner with nothing to prove at this level, KISS ME HONEY (1) has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time and, even from the 1-spot, can make this her own. KEMIA DU CHENE (6) finished 3rd in the Prix Guy le Gonidec earlier in the month and a similar effort would see her finish close once more. KOUFRA IRIS’EYES (7) did everything right on last month’s return to competition, is unshod-behind for the first time, and is reunited with Franck Nivard who won with her last summer. Well-positioned behind the car, LOOK OF LOVE (3) drops back in category and will be more competitive this time around.

SELECTIONS
KISS ME HONEY (1) – KEMIA DU CHENE (6) – KOUFRA IRIS’EYES (7) – LOOK OF LOVE (3)
C3 – PRIX GUILLAUME DE BELLAIGUE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 Race – Mounted – EUR € 90,000

1. GADGET DU GADE – Steps up in class after winning a 2850m Class C here last weekend and can expect to face a very stiff test

2. GEORGICA GEDE – Last but one, behind INSHORE (3), in a 2850m Class A here 2 weeks ago and has no realistic chance

3. INSHORE – Dictated the law in a 2850m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and looks main danger to stablemate HANNA DES MOLLES (8)

4. HORACE DU GOUTIER – 3rd of 14 in a 3525m Vichy harness Class A on 3 June. Runner-up to EDITION GEMA (7) in Gr.1 Prix Henri Desmontils on lone monté start and is not to be underestimated

5. FULTON – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2850m harness Class A here last weekend. Not easy to trust but still worth keeping an eye on

6. FILWELL – Sanctioned when going well in 21 May race of reference. Is in his element at this level and with application can make first 5

7. EDITION GEMA – Won 4 in a row earlier in the year, including Gr.1 Prix Henri Desmontils. Respectable 5th behind HIRONDELLE DU RIB (9) in Gr.3 Prix Louis Sauve late-May and will be competitive for a place cheque

8. HANNA DES MOLLES – Classy mare in this branch of the game, most recently making short work of Gr.3 Prix Paul Delanoé, and has every chance of repeating

9. HIRONDELLE DU RIB – Very hard to fault when racing barefoot, as she showed when 3rd to HANNA DES MOLLES (8) in Gr.3 Prix Paul Delanoé over 2175m here earlier in the month, and can play a leading role

Summary: Laurent-Claude Abrivard seems to have a lock on this with dual Gr.1-winning HANNA DES MOLLES (8) who won the Gr.3 Prix Paul Delanoé in style earlier in the month, and INSHORE (3) who emulated his stablemate here just 10 days later. 3rd to the former last time out [and 2nd in the Cornulier last January], HIRONDELLE DU RIB (9) is by no means out of the picture, and neither is EDITION GEMA (7) who has been going good-guns for a number of months.

SELECTIONS
HANNA DES MOLLES (8) – INSHORE (3) – HIRONDELLE DU RIB (9) – EDITION GEMA (7)
C4 – PRIX NEMAUSA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000

1. EDGAR SABA – Runner-up in 3 here before getting his nose in front in a 2875m Enghien Class A on 15 June, and a repeat is a distinct possibility

2. JOUR DE FETE – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently securing a 2850m Feurs Class C 2 weeks ago. Faces better this time but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably

3. DYLAN DOG FONT – Serious type that got back to winning ways over a mile in Turin early last month. Has been given time to recuperate and returns to Vincennes with a realistic chance of confirming

4. JINGLE LOVER – Placed twice at Vincennes before coming 5th of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C a month back, and is unlikely to go home empty-handed

5. KYOTO DIGEO – Never far from faulting but won a 2700m Class B here, in fine fashion, 2 weeks ago. Barefoot again and is not incapable of repeating

6. JOS MAZA – Returns to Vincennes after scoring 2 straight at home in Wolvega. Has references here but may be biting off more than he can chew

7. DRAGOWSKI – 5th in an Enghien Class C early-May before coming 9th of 16 in a 2850m Class B here later in the month and looks no more than a minor place prospect

8. JAZZ DE PADD – Beat JINGLE LOVER (4) over track and trip early-May before trotting 6th, a place behind him, in a 2150m Enghien Class C a month ago, and is good enough to make first 5

9. JASPER PIYA – Useful on a good day but below-par in all 3 this term, latterly 12th of 16 in a 2875m Enghien Class B mid-month and, breaking wide, is not about to shake things up

10. DAMASCO EFFESSE – Unremarkable trotter that was sanctioned, at 81/1, in a Class D over course and distance mid-month and can be confidently written off

11. FIORANO – Fine servant that was surprisingly last of 10 in a Class D over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard reining this time and will be no easy touch if he can keep his charge trotting

12. DANUBIO (ITY) – 8th of 16 in a 2700m Class D here on 10 May and, in this superior company, will have too much to do

13. DEXTER ORS – Has yet to show any liking for Vincennes conditions, latterly sanctioned in a 2700m Class C late last month. Shoes on and can be passed over

14. JAMES MADRIK – 8th of 10 finishers on re-entry in a 3125m Angers Class D on 11 June. Goes first time barefoot but may still be a race shy

15. EK DEL RONCO – Second of Holger Klaus Ehlert’s horses, most recently 5th to EDGAR SABA (1) in a 2875m Enghien Class A on 15 June. Appreciates these shorter trips but others still preferred

16. DIAPASON (ITY) – Yet to show anything since returning to the track, latterly sanctioned in a 2700m Class C here on 31 May, and even with hind shoes off can expect to have few friends

Summary: Fifth in a Gr.3 here over the winter, DYLAN DOG FONT (3) has since been rested, has subsequently returned to the track in excellent condition and, with hind shoes off and Eric Raffin reining, could well open his French account. KYOTO DIGEO (5) got back in the winners’ circle here mid-May and, if still on the boil, can double his money. EDGAR SABA (1) finished a place behind him that day before imposing across town recently and must also be considered a serious contender. With excellent references in Italy, FIORANO (11) should not be too hastily judged for his recent sanction and the change of driver will do his chances no harm.

SELECTIONS
DYLAN DOG FONT (3) – KYOTO DIGEO (5) – EDGAR SABA (1) – FIORANO (11)
C5 – PRIX FURNERIUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 56,000

1. HARVESTER – No slouch on a good day but 6th of 13 in a Class E over course and distance 10 days ago and needs to find more

2. HOUARNEAU – Quality element with solid Vincennes credentials, returns to the venue with a new configuration, and will be expected to make up for his Pontchâteau sanction

3. HURLEVENT – Simply superb in this branch of the business, winning 2 of last 3, latterly a 2800m Pontchâteau Class E 3 weeks ago and, sporting a new configuration, looks the main threat to HEARTBREAKER WELL (6)

4. HOMMAGE LUDOIS – Returns to Vincennes after finishing runner-up in 5 straight, latterly a 2650m Bordeaux Class D 9 days ago, and must be considered a decent first-5 chance

5. GOLDEN VIKING – 3rd of 9 in a 3000m Class F at Salon-de-Provence on 23 May but a repeat seems most improbable

6. HEARTBREAKER WELL – Classy trotter with an enviable monté record. Comes here on a hat-trick, has previously imposed under these conditions, and will take all the beating

7. GALOPIN DE MARTHE – Tricky type that was just pipped by HURLEVENT (3) in a 2800m Pontchâteau Class E 3 weeks ago. Shod as he was here last month and is not about to let the side down

8. HAVRE DE PAIX – A write-off in both codes for some time. Sanctioned in a 3500m Savigny-sur-Braye harness Class F on 9 June and is not about to spring a surprise

9. HETRE CHANGEEN – Consistently in the thick of things in the monté code, most recently 3rd to HURLEVENT (3) in Pontchâteau race of reference. Unlikely to repeat but is fitted with 4 pads for the first time and can give this a good go

10. HELIUM DE L’ITON – Reassuring 4th of 10 in a 2200m Vichy Class E last week but others still preferred

11. HELEN DES OUBEAUX – Back under the saddle after coming 3rd of 13 in a 3150m harness Class E at La Roche-Posay on 2 June. Thrives with Benjamin Rochard and looks every part a place prospect

12. GOGO DES MALBERAUX – 10th of 13 finishers in a 2900m Amiens harness Class F 3 weeks ago. Shoes on again and best to wait

Summary: Remarkably consistent under the saddle, HEARTBREAKER WELL (6) won with ease at Vichy recently, has never disappointed over course and distance, and should be able to wrap this up. Leading the opposition’s charge is the excellent HURLEVENT (3) who is sent out with a revised formula for the occasion. HELEN DES OUBEAUX (11) has yet to truly excel under the saddle but is in fine condition, sports pads all around, and will be dangerous if form transitions. Currently enduring a phase of ‘seconditis’, HOMMAGE LUDOIS (4) is as versatile as they come, and will again figure prominently.

SELECTIONS
HEARTBREAKER WELL (6) – HURLEVENT (3) – HELEN DES OUBEAUX (11) – HOMMAGE LUDOIS (4)
C6 – PRIX URANIA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 56,000

1. HIRONDELLE FEE – Pleasant 2nd at Caen on 10 June before losing her action in a 2450m Class F at the same venue a week later. Hind shoes off but will still have few takers

2. HERMES PAT – Reassuring 3rd of 17 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F earlier in the month, on his first appearance since November, and must be taken more seriously this time around

3. HERCULE DE LEAU – Gave a fine account when 7th of 16 in a 2100m Class E here last weekend, despite encountering traffic problems, and can impose this time if Benjamin Rochard keeps him out of trouble

4. HASARD – On the way back up, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2350m Angers Class E on 11 June. Shod for competition, Antoine Wiels reining, and must be afforded considerable respect

5. HYDROMEL – Back in shape after a mid-season blip, most recently 3rd, a place behind HERMES SMART (7) in a 2575m Class E at Agen-Le Passage mid-month. Raffin in the hot-seat this time but no more than a minor place prospect

6. HANANE MONTAVAL – Capable filly but out of sorts in last 2, latterly 9th of 12 in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class D on 19 May, and must get her house in order

7. HERMES SMART – Consistently in the mix when he can stay in stride. 2nd of 13 in a 2575m Class E at Agen-Le Passage mid-month and it would be no surprise to see him get his nose in front

8. HARIA DU BELLAY – 2nd here early-May before finishing a one-paced 7th of 8 in a 2100m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Back with her partner of choice though and has every chance of winning this

9. HIMBERLAND – Won over 2850m here early-May but failed to confirm when sanctioned in a similar event a month ago. Was clearly full of running that day however and will not go home empty-handed if he can keep trotting

10. HELENCIO – Unremarkable type that finished 6th, behind HIPPOCRATE DU TRIO (11), in a 2825m Class E at Le Croisé-Laroche a fortnight ago, and is not about to dictate the outcome

11. HIPPOCRATE DU TRIO – Beaten but honourable 6th of 15 in a 2800m Pontchâteau Class E 3 weeks ago. In this field though, will have no possible chance

Summary: An open race this, with a host of possible winners, although when push comes to shove, preference goes to HERCULE DE LEAU (3). Unlucky here last weekend, and reunited with Benjamin Rochard, for whom he has won 2 of 3, his presence is hard to ignore. That being said, HARIA DU BELLAY (8) is reunited with Alexandre Abrivard who has been the pilot for 6 of her 7 successes. HASARD (4) showed at Angers that he is plainly close to his race and, competitively-shod, is also in with a realistic shout. HERMES PAT (2) left a very good impression at Rambouillet on his first start back and, with Gabi Gelormini reining, will not be far from the action.

SELECTIONS
HERCULE DE LEAU (3) – HARIA DU BELLAY (8) – HASARD (4) – HERMES PAT (2)
C7 – PRIX CETUS – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000

1. EASY COMPANY – Winner of all 3 starts to date, in 3 different countries, latterly over 2840m at Mons. In this company though, will have limited chances

2. ERMES EFFESSE – 3rd of 7 over 2100m in Naples a week ago. Barefoot this time but has no love for Vincennes and can be dismissed

3. KAMIKAZE DU CAMPUS – Very good 4th of 16, on first start since the break, in a Class D over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run and can apply the pressure on KAMARAN MADRIK (9)

4. ELITE D’ARC – Pleased in 2 of 3 here before being sent for a break. 9th of 10, on re-entry, over 2100m in Naples early-May, and even with shoes off this time, still appears to have too much to do

5. RAGAZZA DU CHENE – 6th of 11 finishers, on return from a spell, in a 2875m Enghien Class A 2 weeks ago. Sports pads all around, with Franck Nivard in the sulky, and will have her supporters

6. ESTEREL GI – 4th of 7 finishers over 2060m in Turin a month ago. Is confirmed over 2850m here, and races barefoot for the occasion, but faces a stiff test this time

7. EVERY TIME WINNER – Progressive colt that came a good 2nd of 15 in a 2700m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Is in his category and with a top driver reining, is unlikely to disappoint

8. EXTRA WIND – Useful filly that has yet to disappoint here, latterly 3rd of 12 in a Class D over course and distance. Unlikely to get her nose in front but can still pick up a slice of the pie

9. KAMARAN MADRIK – Won with ease here mid-May before being sanctioned, when plainly full of running, in a 2700m Class D here a fortnight ago, but can make amends and win this if he keeps his action together

10. KOZIELLO DE LOU – Faulted early in a 2700m Class D here on 14 June. Did impose over 2700m earlier in the year however, but still not an obvious choice

11. EMILY LP – Returns to Vincennes after being sanctioned in a 1600m event in Naples a month ago. Hind shoes off, with Eric Raffin reining this time, and can be assured a competitive drive. First 5

12. KELLE STAR DI PAO – Won a Class D over 2700m here 2 weeks ago before losing it in the stewards’ room. Races barefoot as he did when 2nd in Bordeaux earlier in the year but still no more than a minor place chance

13. KASBAH PERRINE – 10th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class C on comeback earlier in the month. Has merit but is unlikely to be given a hard race

14. KEMBLA – Showed improvement last weekend when 6th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class C. Barefoot again but others still preferred

15. KRAK DU RIEU – 2nd of 15, despite some traffic problems, in a 2700m Class D here mid-month. Will have progressed in the interim and looks a solid place prospect

16. KAKO GASCOGNE – Disappointing of late, most recently sanctioned in a 2175m Class C here earlier this month. Richard Westerink could not have hoped for a better entry though and is not to be overlooked

Summary: Winner over 2700m here before faulting next time, KAMARAN MADRIK (9) sports a new configuration, is classier than most here, and with application, can set the record straight. Mathieu Mottier can still expect to encounter resistance from KAMIKAZE DU CAMPUS (3) who gave an excellent account on re-entry here 3 weeks ago, and the well-engaged KRAK DU RIEU (15) who defied his odds here last time. Useful Italian raider, EVERY TIME WINNER (7), is confirmed on the main track and has been entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard.

SELECTIONS

C8 – PRIX THALIA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000

1. L’ETOILE – Showed a different side to herself when imposing over 2625m in a Cherbourg Class E 12 days ago. 4 pads fitted again and is not to be underestimated

2. LAZULITE GEDE – Has hardly put a foot wrong since her April debut. Won a 2300m Châteaubriant Class E a month back and although unlikely to repeat, can still figure prominently

3. LOVE GLORY – 2nd at Chartres before coming 4th of 11 finishers in a 2200m Class D here on 11 June. Should take well to the main course profile and racing with pads will only enhance her decent prospects

4. LA VIE A DEUX – Got off the mark at Laval before coming 3rd of 10 finishers in a Class C over track and trip on 24 May and could well prove main threat to LIBERTY JOSSELYN (5)

5. LIBERTY JOSSELYN – Good future prospect that imposed with ease in a 2850m Laval Class E on 23 May. Champion driver in charge this time and should be able to wrap this up

6. LOUNA D’OR – Made up for her clinker at La Capelle by trotting 3rd of 7 in a 2875m Enghien Class D a month back. Is not about to repeat but will not be sent out at 35/1 either

7. LEMONADE FIZZ – Quality element but has not been seen out since trotting 4th of 8 in a 2850m Class C here mid-December and will need the run

8. LUMINEUSE DE BRION – Won 2 on the trot before coming 4th of 9 in a 2800m Pontchâteau Class D 3 weeks ago. Has no colts to contend with this time and can make the frame

9. LILY DE L’AUNAY – Made the frame in last 2, most recently 2nd of 11 in a 2675m Lisieux Class D mid-May, but in this company will struggle to confirm

10. LOLA DU CLOS – Lost her action in a 2850m monté Class C over the inner track 3 weeks ago. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over

Summary: Twice a winner in 3 career starts, LIBERTY JOSSELYN (5) flew up at Laval last month, gets an Eric Raffin this time, and will be expected to make her Vincennes debut a winning one. Third in a similar event here last month, LA VIE A DEUX (4) has progressed particularly well and can go closer this time. In decent shape and sporting front pads for her main-track bow, LOVE GLORY (3) will legitimately garner support, as will the improving LUMINEUSE DE BRION (8) who has been fitted with hind pads for the first time.

2. GRAND SOIR LE FOL – Very consistent of late and was runner-up to HEAVEN D’ECAJEUL (9) last time out in Class G at Strasbourg on 9 June. Should fight out the finish again

3. HARMONIE BLONDE – On a long losing run but is in good form and was third last time out in Class G over this track and trip on 31 May. Can contest the finish again

6. IXEL BILOU – Has struggled all year and was disqualified last time out at Reims on 22 June. Best watched for now

7. GIORGIO DU VIVIER – Fluffed his lines with a disqualification last time out at Le Croisé-Laroche on 17 June. In good form before that and is not out of it

8. HATTAWA D’ESCRIT – Unreliable and was 8th last time out in Class F at Strasbourg over 2800m on 9 June. Place chance on best form

9. HEAVEN D’ECAJEUL – Returned to his best with a Class G win at Strasbourg over 2800m on 9 June. Capable of following up in this line-up

Summary: HEAVEN D’ECAJEUL (9) won well last time out. e will be giving them 25m start but he is capable of doubling up. GRAND SOIR LE FOL (2) is in good form and should be right there at the finish once again. HARMONIE BLONDE (3) is also in good form and could break a long losing streak. HELENA DU MOUCHEL (4) remains in good shape and is clearly not out of it

Summary: SEGERA (3) was unlucky when finishing unplaced in a Chantilly sprint last time and she shouldn’t be hastily condemned for that performance (9th), having already won over this extended distance. CALYPSO (6) ought to have improved after an encouraging comeback outing over 1600m so could play a leading role, too. ATLANTIGO (5), runner-up in a recent handicap at Compiegne, and resurgent JONH SIX (2), off a reduced mark, appeal most of the remainder.
