JUNGLE SEA (5) looks like the best option for the each-way backers to look at. PRINCE EXPRESS (3) looks the best of the remainder.

C1 – PRIX DE FEURS – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 |
1. HYWEL D’OR – Capable on a good day, and proven here, but sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2150m Biarritz Class D on 2 July. 4 pads fitted this time and others easier to back
2. HIMALAYA NARCY – Has had time to freshen up after finishing 8th of 9 in a 2475m Royan Class F almost 2 months ago. Has otherwise been in fine fettle and from the 2-spot, can make a big impact
3. HEVALONE DE GUEZ – Won well at Agen before coming 4th of 8 finishers in a 2150m Biarritz Class D 12 days ago. Is new to the venue but has been handed an excellent draw and Maxime Grasset is not about to let it go to waste. Place chance
4. GOLFEUR DES LOYAUX – Last of 9 in a 2950m Biarritz Class F 10 days ago. Has not picked up a first-3 cheque for close on 2 years and is not about to buck the trend
5. FOREVER DE PAME – Had shown signs of encouragement before finishing 7th of 9 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class F 2 weeks ago. Decently-placed on first line though and should not be ignored
6. GRANIT DU MONT – Had been picking up prizemoney all spring before faulting in a 2600m Vitteaux Class F last weekend. Has no references here but breaks from the front and, with a trouble-free run, can play a small part
7. HARLEY DE QUARO – 2nd over track and trip before faulting in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F on 19 June. Starts wide, but in front, and will be expected to get back down to business
8. HELDIEN ALFA – Last but one, when being prepared for this, in a 2725m Class F at Grenade-sur-Garonne early last month. Has excelled in 2024 and is eminently capable of defying the draw and imposing
9. HEPICETOU – Sanctioned in a 2450m Castillonès monté Class F on 23 June. Has other priorities and can be discounted
10. GOLFEUR – Respectable 6th of 12 in a Class F over course and distance 3 weeks ago but, in this company, from the back row, will have little to offer
11. HOUSTON D’ECAJEUL – Won 2 on the trot before faulting in a 2650m Hyères Class E last weekend only to finish 8th of 10, but with application can redeem himself and finish close
12. GOLD DE LA COTE – 8th of 10 finishers in a 2650m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class F a fortnight ago. Has been off the boil for some time and is not about to break the mould
13. FORREST BOIS MORIN – Sanctioned in all 3 harness starts this year, latterly a 2650m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class F 2 weeks ago, and can expect to remain friendless
14. HELP THE BEATLES’S – Kicked the year off nicely but has since lost his way. 10th of 12 in a Class F over course and distance 3 weeks ago, and must first reaffirm
Summary: Already 3 times a winner this year, including over longer here, HELDIEN ALFA (8) will have progressed from his conditioner and, despite a wide draw, looks the one to beat. That said, HARLEY DE QUARO (7) put on quite the show here late-May and can give him a run for his money, provided Frédéric Clozier keeps him trotting. Significantly better off on the front line, HIMALAYA NARCY (2) returns to a track she likes, and winning this is not beyond her capability. HOUSTON D’ECAJEUL (11) failed to secure the hat-trick last weekend but will be no easy touch if he stays in stride from one end of the race to the other.

1. JORDAENS ATALANTE – Showed promise earlier in the season but flattering 6th behind JASPER QUESNOT (6) in a 2950m Toulouse Class E on 6 June, and will need to find considerably more
2. JET SAN LEANDRO – Has ample ability and has previously won here, but sanctioned in last 4, latterly in 23 June race of reference. Hind shoes off this time but others still easier to back
3. JORDY DU NOYER – 5th of 8 finishers in a 2950m Biarritz Class F last Tuesday, following a brace of sanctions. Goes barefoot this time but others still preferred
4. JAZZ PAT – Pleasant 5th of 13, behind JUNO DE BANVILLE (8), in a Class D on comeback over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Starts on the first line and must be taken seriously
5. JOKO DE LIGNY – Sanctioned here on 23 June before coming 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class F a week later. Has yet to deliver here but in current condition is very easy to like
6. JASPER QUESNOT – Blows hot and cold but confirmed his form with victory in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class E a fortnight ago. Won over course and distance this day last year. Omen?
7. JONAS – Honest type that trotted 5th of 8 in a 3125m Monpazier Class F a week ago but, in this field, will have too much to do
8. JUNO DE BANVILLE – On cracking form since returning to competition, latterly winning a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago, and a repeat is not out of the question
9. JOIE DE BERTRANGE – Second in first 3 starts this season before coming a good 4th of 8 in a 2625m Class B at Agen-Le passage mid-June. Plainly at her best and deserves to be crowned for her recent performances
10. JASPERS TURGOT – High-class monté horse making first appearance since coming last of 10 in a 2850m Laval Class A last November. Here for reasons of conditioning and has nothing to contribute
Summary: Runner-up here late-May, JOIE DE BERTRANGE (9) would have finished closer at Agen next time had she not been denied a run and, clearly close to her race, can set the record straight. She will be opposed though by recent course-and-distance winner JUNO DE BANVILLE (8) who simply thrives at Beaumont-de-Lomagne. JASPER QUESNOT (6) also returned to victorious ways a fortnight ago, and has previously won under these conditions. Nicely-engaged on the first line, JOKO DE LIGNY (5) has been showing his form and will be no soft touch if he stays in stride.

1. KRAC MICHA – Honest type that came 4th of 9 finishers in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class E late last month but faces a much stiffer test this time around
2. KRISS D’AVIGNERE – Made it 2 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2625m Class E at Villeneuve-sur-Lot a fortnight ago and is unlikely to trouble the opposition
3. KING DE JOUDES – Lost his maiden tag in a 2675m Class F at Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne on 10 June. Takes on a tougher bunch this time though and chances limited
4. KALINEO PENEME – Unexceptional 6th here before coming 4th of 8 in a 2625m Class E at Villeneuve-sur-Lot 2 weeks ago. No penalty this time but others still preferred
5. KASSAV DE FRECA – Lost his action in a 2950m Biarritz Class D 8 days ago. Consistently in the thick of things when focused though, is confirmed here and, from the front row, can make a big splash
6. KARMA DE BEAUFOUR – 8th of 13 in a 2150m Vichy Class E last weekend. Has evident ability but appears to need another race
7. KATANGA DE BLARY – Has taken her game up a notch since starting to race barefoot, most recently 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2375m Castelsarrasin Class F last Sunday, and has a decent hand to play
8. KOLOR – 3rd here last month before faulting in a 2950m Biarritz Class D last weekend. Is plainly in shape and from the front row, can give this a good go
9. KARESSE D’EURVAD – Produced her career-best performance 3 weeks ago, winning a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class F in good order and has a realistic chance of doubling up
10. KASSUS BLUE – Classy type that was sent for a break after winning a 2750m Toulouse Class E last October. Has not been seen out since but, on class alone, can get a look-in
11. KALIMERO – Makes first start since finishing last but one in a 2625m Class E at La Rochelle early-May, and will need the run
12. KYRIELLE D’ALBRET – Sanctioned, at 131/1, in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class D on 22 June and, even racing barefoot, will have nothing to contribute
13. KOOL DU PORHOET – 8th of 11 finishers in Agen race of reference. Has no love for the venue and can be ruled out
14. KATONA – By no means disgraced when 6th in Agen race of reference. Gave a good account here late-May but current configuration has yet to yield fruit
15. KAROUZO – No slouch when focused, and has a decent record here, finishing 4th in late-June race of reference. Hind shoes off this time but the penalty will do him no favours
16. KOUBA BLUE – Quality filly with 2 races under her belt since the layoff, latterly 7th behind KAROUZO (15) in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class D 3 weeks ago. Has never disappointed here, even on comeback, and must be considered a contender
17. KARA DES BROUSSES – Modest filly that was sanctioned early in Agen race of reference. Shoes on and has no realistic chance
18. KAMILLA – Sanctioned early in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class D 3 weeks ago. Is hard to knock when unshod and, on good behaviour, can get in on the action
Summary: KARESSE D’EURVAD (9) may not be the easiest of horses but she has come good this summer and, ideally-entered on the front line, can confirm her Agen victory. Confirmed under these conditions and surely fully-fit by now, KOUBA BLUE (16) is 25m worse off but still looks a serious proposition. Barring a brace of sanctions, KASSAV DE FRECA (5) has come close more than once this term and, with application, is unlikely to disappoint. KOLOR (8) showed a liking for the track last month and can finish close if Norbert Vimond keeps her trotting.

1. LENGLEN JYL – Sanctioned on debut before coming last of 11 in a 2450m Caen Class F 3 weeks ago, and is not about to cause an upset
2. LOULIE MANATHIS – 7th of 13 in a 2150m Castéra-Verduzan Class F a fortnight ago. Yet to show much aptitude for the game and can be disregarded
3. L’ETOILE MASCAR – Produced her best performance to date 2 weeks ago when 3rd of 13 in a 2150m Castéra-Verduzan Class F, but has been aimed too high this time around
4. LUIGI PAN – 2nd of 6 in a 2150m Biarritz Class F on 2 July, but at this level will have too much to do
5. LET’S TWIST – 6th, behind L’ENVIE D’ENZO (10), in a 2575m Agen Class D on re-entry mid-June. 4 pads fitted for the first time but takes on a tougher bunch here and is not an obvious choice
6. LA MOME DUEM – In the frame in 3 of 4 to date, including at Beaumont. 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2750m Toulouse Class D in early-June and will be competitive for a slice of the pie
7. LE WINNER AS – Finished close in a 2650m Bordeaux Class B on 19 June, only to be disqualified. Shoes on this time and, if focused, can play an important role
8. LUCIDE CASTELETS – Has hardly put a foot wrong since his debut, most recently winning a Class E over 2400m here on 23 June, and is in with a shout of doubling his money
9. LE MAGICIEN – Has shown considerable promise recently, latterly coming close 2nd of 9 in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class D 3 weeks ago, and is well-placed to lose his maiden status
10. L’ENVIE D’ENZO – Won an Eauze claimer on comeback before trotting 3rd of 10 in a 2575m Agen Class D a month ago. Just avoids the penalty and looks a respectable first-5 prospect
11. LOUKOUM DE L’ITON – Progressive sort making first appearance since finishing last of 5 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class C early-March, and best to keep one’s powder dry
12. LUKE SKYWALKER – Took his game to another level when winning a Class B over course and distance late-May. Returns fresh and, although on the back line this time, still looks competitively well-in
13. L’AMERICAIN – Pleased on comeback before faulting in a 2950m Vichy Class C 10 days ago. On the back line here and other more attractive options available
14. LOTTA LOVE – Good 3rd of 5 finishers in a 2950m Vichy Class B on 25 June. Is clearly at the top of her game but the handicap will limit her chances
Summary: In the frame in 2 of his last 3, LE MAGICIEN (9) missed out by little at Agen and, from the front line, can finally get off the mark. Manuel Criado will however be keeping a watchful eye on LUCIDE CASTELETS (8) who opened his account over 2400m here 3 weeks ago. LUKE SKYWALKER (12) secured the double when clinching victory in a Class B here late-May and, although 25m worse off this time, still looks a player. Well-regarded at home and clearly a colt with potential, LE WINNER AS (7) returns to racing shod and will have his chances if Romain Le Creps keeps him trotting.

1. IDYLLE DU GASSEL – 3rd of 9 finishers in a 3025m Eauze Class F 6 days ago. In better company this time, but stays barefoot, and will have her supporters
2. IDYLLE CENSBOIS – Last but one in a 3025m Eauze Class F early last week. Has placed twice in last 4 in the amateur division and, from the front line, can get a look-in
3. IDOLE JIBAY – Faulted in a 2950m Biarritz amateurs Class H earlier in the month but is hard to fault when focused and sporting a new configuration may be just the ticket
4. IRISEE LUDOISE – 5th of 7 finishers in a 2650m Marseille-Vivaux Class F on 22 June. Appears to be on the way back up but will still need to find more
5. INVICTA – Sanctioned in a 3125m Monpazier Class F a fortnight ago. Yet to get fully into her stride this term but, with front shoes off for the occasion, can start to get back in the game
6. ISLAND WIND – Lost her action in a 3025m Eauze Class F last Monday. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and is not about to change her ways
7. IMPERIALE DE SYHM – Sanctioned in a 2150m Biarritz monté Class F conditioner 8 days ago. Stays shod and best to wait
8. HIMERA FROMENTRO – Back under harness after coming 7th of 9 in a 3125m Monpazier Class H last weekend. Disappointing for past 3.5 months and can be disregarded
9. HAVANA BELLA – Faulted, when full of running, in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F on 19 June. Has otherwise been in fine shape and even from the back row, can get in on the action
10. IMPULSE LADY – Beaten only by a very good horse in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class F 3 weeks ago. Is plainly close to her race and, given the yard’s form, can get her nose in front this time
11. ISLENA – Returns to racing clockwise after trotting 7th of 14 in a 2625m Saint-Omer Class F early-June. Springs the occasional surprise under harness but this is not one of those occasions
12. HELYSEE WILD – Pleased at Toulouse late-May before faulting in a Class F over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Reverts to a previous formula but still not an obvious choice
13. ISA DES LANDES – Reassuring 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2950m Biarritz Class E last weekend. Unlikely to repeat but can play a small role if she takes to the new profile
14. GINGER DU PADOUENG – 2nd of 10 in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage amateurs Class G 3 weeks ago. Has little love for Beaumont these days but, in present form, is very easy to like
15. HERMENCE DAIRPET – 4th in an amateur event here before coming 5th of 9 finishers in a 2750m Toulouse Class F mid-May. Enjoys a terrific engagement and looks principal rival to IMPULSE LADY (10)
Summary: Excepting a couple of sanctions, IMPULSE LADY (10) has been firing on all cylinders recently and looks thoroughly capable of making her Beaumont debut a winning one. Just €80 from elimination, HERMENCE DAIRPET (15) has been in decent shape recently and Jean Mazou will be eager to take advantage of the opportunity to get a 2024 win into her. Proven in the professional ranks, GINGER DU PADOUENG (14) showed her form at Agen recently and, with application, is unlikely to let the side down. HAVANA BELLA (9) would have finished in the money last time had she stayed in stride and can make amends if Matthéo Gergouil manages to keep her trotting.

1. IGOR DES LANDES – Goes barefoot again after trotting 2nd of 9 in a 2375m Castelsarrasin Class H last weekend but bites off more than he can chew on this occasion
2. ITON DES LANDES – Backs up just 5 days after coming 3rd of 10 in a 2950m Biarritz amateurs Class H. Goes well right-handed and, while not a priority, will be worth keeping an eye on
3. IZGOOD DU ROEN – Looked very ordinary when 6th of 9 in a 2375m Castelsarrasin Class F last weekend and is not about to spring a surprise
4. HIPPARION DES VES – Pleased at Villeneuve before losing his action in a similar event here 3 weeks ago. Barefoot this time and from the front row can make his presence felt
5. IS GOOD DU JAYLE – 6th of 13 in a 2950m Biarritz amateurs Class H earlier in the week. Shoes on and no danger
6. IMANOLO – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2900m Bourigny Class F on 22 June. Has ample ability though, starts in front, and can figure prominently if he stays in stride
7. HEROS LA RAVELLE – Surprise 4th of 9 in a 2650m amateurs Class H at Villeneuve-sur-Lot 2 weeks ago but a repeat seems improbable
8. ILPASS – Has been enjoying a productive streak lately, most recently 2nd of 10 in a 2150m Castéra-Verduzan amateurs Class G a fortnight ago. Starts in front and is not one to be underestimated
9. HOLD UP DARCHE – Last of 7 in a 2950m Biarritz Class D on Tuesday and is unlikely to improve on that
10. IXO DES PLANS – Lost his way after a successful winter, latterly sanctioned in a 3025m Eauze Class F last Monday. Sports a new configuration but still has slim prospects
11. HARKONNEN – 6th of 12 finishers in a Class F over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Appreciates these conditions and looks a solid first-5 prospect
12. HARCOURT DE PADD – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 13 in a 2450m Villeréal Class E 12 months ago, and will have nothing to offer
13. HONORE LE FOL – Briefly lost his way but reassured with victory in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class G late-June and looks main threat to HAZARD D’AMOUR (16)
14. HERMES DU DOMAINE – Showed improvement when 3rd of 7 in a claimer over course and distance late last month but has little going for him this time
15. ISSALIO – Never easy to knock when focused and barefoot, latterly a good 3rd of 12 in a 2525m Cavaillon Class E on 18 June, and has another realistic chance of making the frame
16. HAZARD D’AMOUR – Last of 10, when preparing for this, in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class E 3 weeks ago. Alain Touzery could not have asked for a better entry and will be expecting him to make this his own
Summary: HAZARD D’AMOUR (16) drops back in category for a superb entry here, incurs the 25m penalty, but is shod to preference and will take some beating. Leading the opposition is HONORE LE FOL (13) who returned to winning ways late last month, and ISSALIO (15) who has been knocking at the door for some time. Théo Raffin takes over the reins on the well-placed ILPASS (8) who, despite racing shod, will be expected to maintain his good run of form.

C7 – PRIX DE CAGNES SUR MER – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 17,500 |
1. KRILLE DU BOUILLON – Unremarkable filly that faulted in a 2150m Biarritz Class F last week and is unlikely to garner much support
2. KILIANA DU VAUTOUR – Disappointing in last 3. 7th of 8 in a 2950m Biarritz Class E 12 days ago and, with shoes back on, can be ruled out
3. KAHINA DE FAEL – Took time to come to hand last season but went into her break on a good note. Faulted on re-entry in a 3200m Montmirail Class F late-June but has a lot going for her here and, on good behaviour, can play a leading role
4. KERIA ANABA – Sanctioned here late last month before finishing last but one in a 2800m Class F at Castéra-Verduzan on 30 June. Enjoys a decent place in front, returns to racing barefoot, but represents no more than a minor place chance
5. KIMBERLEY – Last of 9 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class E 2 weeks ago. Hind shoes off this time but still not a realistic proposition
6. KENYA DE CHANLECY – Last of 12, when being conditioned, in a 3125m Class E at Valence-sur-Baïse mid-June. Starts in front, hind shoes off as he did when imposing at Agen, and deserves to be taken seriously
7. KITWOOD DU BOCAGE – Form has regressed since winning at Villeneuve last month, most recently last but one in a 2150m Biarritz Class F 5 days ago. Hind shoes off for the first time but the wide start will do him no favours
8. KANTAS FILLY – Sanctioned, on comeback, in a 2950m Biarritz Class E earlier this month. Has ample ability though, races unshod for the first time and, despite the wide draw, will be worth monitoring
9. KIDA DE LA BESSE – Has started to come good again, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2550m Class F here 3 weeks ago, and can play a prominent role if her driver positions her early
10. KUEEN OF CHENU – Unremarkable filly that came 6th of 9 in a 2375m Eauze Class F last week and will once again have nothing to contribute
11. KASA DE BALESTAT – 3rd to KING KONG (13) in a Class G over course and distance on 23 June. Takes on a tougher bunch this time, is forced to break from the rear and, even with front shoes off, is unlikely to repeat
12. KAKAO DECAST – 8th of 11 in a claimer over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Expectations exceed reality here
13. KING KONG – Has not missed a beat since returning to competition, latterly winning a Class G over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Would have preferred a better draw, and steps up in category, but is still good enough to make first 5
14. KENZA CHOISIE – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2150m Biarritz Class F last Tuesday. Currently off the boil and the draw only compounds matters
15. KRISTAL DU PALAIS – Has demonstrated decent aptitude, most recently 4th of 9 in a 2450m Castillonnès Class F 3 weeks ago. Handed a tough draw but is still unlikely to go home empty-handed
16. KATCHINA DUEM – Sanctioned, on re-entry after a long layoff, in a 2550m Class F here on 23 June. Has talent to burn and can win this if Jérôme Chavatte successfully navigates the start
Summary: Very impressive before being sent for a well-earned holiday, KATCHINA DUEM (16) was sanctioned here on comeback and, even though handed an unattractive draw, can get back down to business. It was a similar story for KAHINA DE FAEL (3) at Montmirail and while not as progressive as Jérôme Chavatte’s filly, she is ideally-positioned behind the car and will be no pushover. KITWOOD DU BOCAGE (7) can prove rather spirited but his ability is not in question and, with hind shoes off, can make up for his recent disappointment. KIDA DE LA BESSE (9) is forced to start on the 2nd row but left a good impression here recently and must be afforded respect.
