C1 – PRIX DE LA PORTE D’ASNIERES – 2875m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000 |
1. LEDZEP – Made short work of a 2775m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Makes his metropolitan debut with morale intact and looks main threat to LE PORTO (9)
2. LEE HOOKER – 6th of 8 in a 2150m Class E here on 10 July and has a lot more to find
3. LOCAL HERO – Got off the mark in a 2475m Francheville Class F mid-July, but in this company is unlikely to confirm
4. LAIOS DU GOUTIER – Sanctioned as often as not, most recently when about to finish 3rd in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is not short of ability but takes on better this time and others preferred
5. LUCKY PORT – Good 2nd of 8 in a 2150m Class E here late last month and it will not be long before he gets off the mark
6. LOST – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a Class C over course and distance a fortnight ago, and others easier to back
7. LEWIS RIVER – Won his first 2 before faulting in a 2650m Class D at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 13 July. Entrusted to Paul Ploquin for the first time and will be expected to get the colt back on track
8. LATINO BELLO – Ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings, after winning a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 8 July. Comes here fresh and, with application, will have his chances
9. LE PORTO – Won his last 2, most recently a 2950m Class F at Le Mans mid-July. Is well-engaged and a similar performance would assure him the hat-trick
Summary: After 2 straight successes, LE PORTO (9) will have few memories of his sanctioned debut and looks thoroughly capable of pulling off the 3-timer. Romain Derieux would still be wise to be wary of LEDZEP (1) who will have progressed for his recent account-opening performance, and LATINO BELLO (8) who returned to winning ways at Les Sables-d’Olonne a month ago. Twice a runner-up, LUCKY PORT (5) is close to losing his maiden tag and warrants respect.

C2 – PRIX PLACE DENFERT-ROCHEREAU – 2875m (a2m) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 60,000 |
1. JOLIVERT DU GERS – Very hard to knock when fit and barefoot, latterly 2nd of 9 finishers in a 2150m Class D here 12 days ago. Is firing on all cylinders and plainly close to his race
2. JUST A BOY D’ALESA – 6th of 13, when still being conditioned, in a 2150m Class C here on 13 July. Races barefoot this time but may be biting off more than he can chew
3. JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Easy winner of a 2800m Langon Class C on 30 July. Seldom lets the side down when focused and must be considered decent first-5 prospect
4. JACADI BROUETS – Sanctioned in 4 of last 5, most recently a 2800m Compiègne Class D last Saturday, and others easier to trust
5. JOCONDE DE COLMINE – Capable Swiss mare that made it 2 straight when successful over 3000m at Avenches on 23 July. Is proven at Enghien and, with hind shoes off, will have her supporters
6. JAB DE MYE – Last but one in race of reference before coming 9th of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class A Last Friday, and can expect to have few friends in the markets
7. JOUVENCE DE CAREL – Useful mare that lost her action in a 2475m Royan Class E mid-July. Showed her form at Vincennes the time before though and, while not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on
8. JIBI DU FRUITIER – 7th on comeback, 2 places behind JAZZ DE PERVENCHE (9), in a 2825m Class E at Sablé-sur-Sarthe 11 days ago. Will have come on for the run, pleased on lone start at the venue, and will have his chances
9. JAZZ DE PERVENCHE – 5th of 13 in a 2825m Class E at Sablé-sur-Sarthe on 28 July. Takes on better here and can be passed over
10. JEWEL DE LA COTE – 5th over shorter here before finishing close 2nd in a 2850m Feurs Class C 3 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and will be competitive for a place in the frame
11. JENNY DE JOUDES – Disappointing this season, most recently 8th to JOLIE STAR (15) in race of reference, and has no possible chance
12. JALIMEDE – 10th of 11 finishers, behind JOLIE STAR (15) in a Class B over track and trip on 20 July. Has merit but in current shape it is hard to make a case
13. JOLIE POUPEE – Authoritative winner here before trotting 8th of 11 in a 2175m Vincennes Gr.2 early-June. Has yet to disappoint at Enghien and, barefoot for the occasion, is not to be underestimated
14. JIM PERRINE – Imposed at Cagnes before faulting in a similar event here late-July. Has solid credentials in this category and, with application, can impose
15. JOLIE STAR – Tricky but talented mare that reassured when 3rd of 12 finishers in a Class B over course and distance on 20 July. With shoes off this time, can give JIM PERRINE (14) a run for his money
Summary: Winner at Cagnes before being sanctioned here next time, JIM PERRINE (14) has solid references under these conditions and Alexandre Abrivard is not about to let the same thing happen again. He is still going to come under pressure from a barefoot, and well-engaged, JOLIE STAR (15) who finished 3rd that day, and the highly-consistent JIBI DU FRUITIER (8) who goes barefoot following a much-needed re-entry run. JEWEL DE LA COTE (10) left a very good impression at Feurs last time out and, in his category here, will be no easy touch.

1. KISS ME DU RUEL – Somewhat reassuring 6th of 9, behind KISS ME DE NAVARY (8), in a Class C over track and trip on 20 July, but will have nothing to contribute here
2. KALICIA JOSSELYN – Makes first appearance since coming last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class B early-May. Front pads fitted and no threat
3. KHALEESI SMART – Pleased at Vincennes before faulting, on comeback, in a Class C over course and distance late last month. Goes barefoot this time, will appreciate the Enghien profile, and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
4. KINOA DU LIVIER – 4th, a place behind KISS ME DE NAVARY (8), in a Class C under these conditions on 20 July. In this company though, is not about to shake things up
5. KATIM DU GOUTIER – Drops back in category after coming last of 9, when being conditioned, in a Class B over course and distance late last month. Shoes off this time and will not be far off the mark at the reckoning
6. KINGA SUPREME – Quality element making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2650m Bordeaux Class D 5 months ago. Front pads fitted but is unlikely to be given a hard race
7. KEEN OF THE NIGHT – Last of 12, on return from a long absence, in a 2850m Meslay-du-Maine Class B 9 days ago. Stays shod this time and best to hold off
8. KISS ME DE NAVARY – Won across town early-June before trotting 3rd of 9 in a Class C over track and trip on 20 July. Is being aimed a bit too high this time however
9. KOSANOSTRA – Missed out on the 3-timer when 2nd of 9 in a Class C under these conditions on 3 July. Is thriving for her new trainer and looks a serious proposition
10. KITTS ET NEVIS – Seldom far from the action when applied, most recently 3rd, a place behind KOSANOSTRA (9), in a Class C over course and distance early last month and, with application, will be competitive for a step on the podium
11. KAISER – Left quite the impression when winning a Class C over track and trip a fortnight ago. Races in the same configuration and will legitimately generate interest
12. KESITO D’URVILLE – 5th of 9, behind KOSANOSTRA (9), in a Class C over course and distance early-July. Is not about to win this but can nevertheless make his presence felt
13. KALINOU QUICK – Has not been seen out since coming 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class B late-May. Is competitively-shod though and will have his supporters
14. KATCHI QUICK – Pulled off the hat-trick in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 21 June. Will have been kept on the boil by his handler and once again looks the pick of the field
Summary: Superbly-engaged at the limit of earnings, KATCHI QUICK (14) has been a veritable steamroller since starting to race fitted with front pads and looks eminently capable of pulling off the 4-timer. Théo Duvaldestin will be justifiably wary though of the similarly-reinvigorated KOSANOSTRA (9) who left a fine impression here early last month, and the serious KITTS ET NEVIS (10) who finished a place behind that day. Eye-catching winner here 2 weeks ago, KAISER (11) has a lot of improvement in him and must be taken seriously.

1. ALONE (SWE) – 10th of 13 in a 2150m Class D here on 20 July. Has evident ability but will still need to raise his game
2. GOLD D’ECROVILLE – Pleasant 4th of 15 in a 2825m Class E at Sablé-sur-Sarthe on 28 July. Reliability not his strong suit but, in current form, is difficult to ignore
3. HASUR DAIRPET – Serious sort that finished 6th, 2 places behind GOLD D’ECROVILLE (2), in a 2825m Class E when being prepared for this at Sablé-sur-Sarthe late-July. Has never disappointed under these conditions and can go close
4. GREZ – Finished a good 4th of 13, but disqualified and placed last, in a 2150m Class D here on 20 July. Has ample ability though and from the front row can make amends
5. EQUEJUELO – 11th of 13 in a 2825m Durtal Class D on 14 July after having encouraged at Le Mont-Saint-Michel, but still no more than a minor place chance
6. HERMINE GIRL – Last of 11, on return to competition early-June, in a 2850m Laval monté Class C. Has done nothing of note for some time and is not about to change her ways
7. FLY TO THE MOON – Out of sorts for some time, latterly last but one in a 3325m Villeréal Class B last Saturday, and must get his house in order
8. HIDALGO DES NOES – Respectable, but one-paced, 6th to HARLEY GEMA (10) in 13 July race of reference. Is better than that though and should prove more competitive this time around
9. HAVE A DREAM – Makes first start since coming 4th of 12 in a 2825m Gr.3 at Le Croisé-Laroche on 22 May. Stays shod for re-entry and best to wait
10. HARLEY GEMA – Won her 3rd in 4 starts when holding off ESPACE WINNER (11) in a Class B under these conditions on 13 July. By some margin the best horse here and despite the handicap, will take all the beating
11. ESPACE WINNER – Missed out by little to HARLEY GEMA (10) in a Class B over course and distance mid-July and, in similar shape, can give her another run for her money
Summary: HARLEY GEMA (10) made up for her early-July blip when winning by the smallest of margins here last month and should again have the measure of ESPACE WINNER (11) who ran her close that day. 6th on that occasion, HIDALGO DES NOES (8) has decent credentials in this type of race and will be expected to show significant improvement. In the frame in 3 of his last 4 starts, HASUR DAIRPET (3) starts 25m better off and can again make the first 3.

C5 – PRIX DE LA HAUTE-SAONE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000 |
1. GETEHI DU NOYER – Runner-up in last 2, latterly to FERGIE HIGHLAND (4), in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 27 July. Will be expected to turn the tables and is competitive for a spot in the frame
2. GLOWING MOKO – Sanctioned over 2600m at Duindigt a month back. Is hard to fault when applied and will not go down without a fight if Gabi Gelormini can keep him trotting
3. FLORALYSE D’AUTHOU – Made it 3 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2875m claimer here at the weekend and backs up with little to no chance of making her presence felt
4. FERGIE HIGHLAND – Sprang a 30/1 surprise winning a 2950m Class E at Le Mans late last month. Is unlikely to repeat but races barefoot this time and the draw will only help her chances
5. FIRST LADY BLEUE – 8th of 13 in a 2875m Class D here mid-July. Handed a good draw but still has no realistic chance
6. FESTIVAL D’ORIENT – Last but one, on just 2nd start back, in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 2.5 weeks ago. Hind shoes off this time and, with application, is not going to be far from the action
7. FISH DE HOUELLE – Returns to a more suitable distance after coming 6th to FERGIE HIGHLAND (4) in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 27 July and, from the front line, can play a leading role
8. GALION – Oddly out of sorts when 7th of 8 in a 2800m Compiègne Class E on 27 July. Starts wide but is unbeaten [from 1] at the venue and must not be overlooked
9. DONOVAN DARK – Looked rather ordinary before being sanctioned in a Class D over course and distance on 27 July and is not about to shake things up
10. GALANT DE BRUYERE – Simply superb this season, most recently winning a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Handed a tough draw but still looks the one to beat
11. GRANDE SOIREE – Sanctioned in a 2800m Compiègne Class F on Saturday. Is proven at this level and in spite of a 2nd row draw, can play a small role with Mathieu Mottier reining
12. FIGARO GEMA – Sanctioned in a 2875m claimer here on Sunday. Has been disappointing recently and and will have nothing to contribute
Summary: Remarkably consistent, GALANT DE BRUYERE (10) makes his Enghien debut off the back of a solid provincial win and despite a 2nd-line draw, he receives a Damien Bonne drive for the occasion and can open his metropolitan account. A winner over 1800m late last month, FISH DE HOUELLE (7) starts in front and will be expected to apply the pressure, as will the better-positioned GLOWING MOKO (2) who is significantly better than latest numbers would suggest. GETEHI DU NOYER (1) is close to his race and, with Franck Nivard back in the wagon, will be afforded every chance.

C6 – PRIX DE L’AIGLE – 2875m (a2m) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 40,000 |
1. LADAKH DE KEMP – Yet to show much aptitude for either code, most recently last but one in a 2700m Class H at Vittel 2.5 weeks ago, and can be passed over
2. LOVE DE TOI – 4th, a place behind LOTUS PAULOIS (6), in a 2250m Class E here on 28 July. Will have come on for the run and, although not a priority, still merits respect
3. LERWICK PERRINE – Good 2nd of 8 in a 2000m Class E at La Capelle on 7 July and if still on the boil, can play a leading role
4. LINDOR DE L’AVRE – Lost his maiden status at Agon before faulting in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last week and others preferred
5. LIBERO DU DONJON – Has taken well to the monté code, latterly 4th behind LERWICK PERRINE (3) in a 2000m Class E at La Capelle on 7 July. Is not about to spring a surprise but is fitted with 4 pads and will benefit from the run
6. LOTUS PAULOIS – Pleased in both starts under the saddle, most recently 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2250m Class E here on 28 July, and the new configuration may be just the ticket
7. LOULIPO – 6th of 7, on return to competition mid-July, in a 2650m Class D at les Sables-d’Olonne. Is back under the saddle and looks the winner-in-waiting
Summary: Sent for a break after having shown significant potential in this branch of the business, LOULIPO (7) prepared for this under harness last month and, front pads fitted with Benjamin Rochard riding, he looks the pick of the bunch. Fresh off a decent 3rd place over shorter here, LOTUS PAULOIS (6) has similarly shown decent aptitude for his new vocation and will be no soft touch. LERWICK PERRINE (3) put on a good show at La Capelle a month back and is not to be underestimated.

1. JUNON DU LEARD – Sanctioned, on first start back, in a 2700m Graignes Class D last week. Has other priorities and can be ruled out
2. IACYNTHE DIDJEAP – Never far from faulting but has won 2 of last 3, most recently a 2875m Class E here on 20 July. Steps up in category but is nicely-placed behind the car and can make his presence felt at the business end of the race
3. JAMIN DE BRION – Won Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec at Vincennes 2 months ago before getting off on the wrong foot in a 2875m Gr.3 here a month later. Comes her fresh and, with application, can again dominate JOCONDE SIBEY (8)
4. HARIA DU BELLAY – Sanctioned in a 2950m Class E at Le Mans just over 3 weeks ago, but is plainly back in shape and can finish close if Yoann Lebourgeois assures her initial strides
5. HAUT BRION – Not disgraced when 6th of 9 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 2.5 weeks ago. Breaks in front but sports pads this time and others easier to back
6. HARINA DREAM – Faces first objective of the new season after being sanctioned, when preparing for this, in a 2950m Le Mans Class E mid-July. Barefoot this time, starts in front, and must be respected
7. INDUS VAL – Good runner-up to IACYNTHE DIDJEAP (2) in a 2875m Class E here on 20 July. Currently on a cracking run of form and will be expected to finish in the mix
8. JOCONDE SIBEY – Endured a host of woes when disqualified in a 2175m Vincennes Gr.2 in early-June. Has never disappointed in the day’s configuration and can set the record straight
9. JABALPUR – Got back in the winners’ enclosure with an excellent Class D course-and-distance victory early last month. Not ideally-drawn but is very hard to ignore. Place prospect
10. JOYCE – Unremarkable 9th of 12, on first start since the spell, in a 2875m Class B here on 20 July, and appears to need another run
11. JAPAROV LIRE – Quality element that came 6th of 12, on return to competition, in a 2875m Class B here on 20 July. Takes on some better horses this time though and the draw will do him no favours
12. JUST FOR LOVA – 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Graignes Class D a week ago, on just 2nd start back. Has previously won under these conditions but is more a minor place prospect on this occasion
13. JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Useful mare but has not been seen out since faulting in a 2100m Vincennes Class A across town 6 months ago, and will need the outing
14. IVOIRE PRESTANCE – Unlucky 4th of 11 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 22 June. Handed a tough draw here and will not find this an easy test
Summary: Unlucky not to win the Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec at Vincennes 2 months ago, JOCONDE SIBEY (8) has been given time to get recuperate, sports a proven configuration, and has a realistic chance of turning the tables on the better-positioned JAMIN DE BRION (3) who had her measure that day. JABALPUR (9) is forced to start on the back row but won so well over shorter here early last month that it is hard to ignore his presence. INDUS VAL (7) is back on the right track following his Bernay clinker and is unlikely to be far off the mark.

1. MY QUALITA PIYA – Untried filly that qualified in 1’18″1 at Caen late-June but best to first see how the market reacts
2. MIRATISSIME – Modest in qualification but similarly modest on debut when 6th of 8 in 28 July race of reference, and already looks out of her depth
3. MUNIA – Qualified nicely during the spring but 4th, a place behind MAVISTA (5), in a 2150m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2 weeks ago. Has obvious talent and with Yoann Lebourgeois reining should show another side
4. MAGGY JENILOU – Sanctioned first time out before trotting 5th, a place behind MAYA BEE (7) in a 2150m Class D here on 28 July. Alexandre Abrivard gets the nod this time but still not an obvious choice
5. MAVISTA – Qualified pleasantly last month before coming 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2150m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Looks a progressive sort and a major player
6. MISS JENILOU – Makes first public appearance on a hard surface after trotting 2nd in a 2325m Bréhal Class G 2.5 weeks ago and should acquit herself honourably. First 5
7. MAYA BEE – Pleased on debut before acquitting herself well to come 4th of 8 in a 2150m Class D here on 28 July. Has bags of untapped potential and the Franck Nivard-factor can make all the difference
8. MARINA ELLIS – Confirmed her decent debut with victory first time out, winning a 2400m Carentan Class E late last month, and has every chance of doubling her money
Summary: Pleasant winner on debut at Carentan late last month, MARINA ELLIS (8) will have come on for the run and a repeat would be no surprise. That being said, MAYA BEE (7) has shown potential and has already sampled Enghien conditions. MAVISTA (5) left a good impression on her Sables-d’Olonne debut and can again make the frame.

1. SUPIDO – Good 3rd in a Listed race last time over 1400m at Vichy on July 17th. Should be too good for his rivals
2. BURN TO SHINE – Won last time at this track over 1600m in a maiden race on July 15th. Ought to be in the shake-up
3. OUT OF AFRICA – Fair 3rd last time in a Class 2 race at Le Lion D’Angers on July 11th after a win on debut in June. Can make presence felt
4. OUTRENOIR – 3rd in a maiden last time at Vittel on July 25th on his third start. Others make more appeal
5. SANS REGRETS HEM – Two unplaced runs so far, the latter of them over 1600m at this track on July 15th. Looks safely held
6. MISTYSEA – Fair 4th in a Class 2 race at Saint-Cloud on June 30th when last racing. In the mix
Summary: SUPIDO (1) ran a good race when stepped up in grade when he was third at Vichy in a Listed race in mid-July. The slight step up in trip should also be to his liking. He can score from OUT OF AFRICA (3) who has shown plenty of ability in both her runs. BURN TO SHINE (2) was given a good ride by his jockey when scoring at this track in mid-July, he has the same man on top and can feature. MISTYSEA (6) is also worth a mention.

1. LOLLY STAR – Nice 3rd in a Group 3 AQ race last time at Le Lion D’Angers on July 26th over 2400m. Looks progressive and can play a leading role
2. LAGERLOF – 3rd on both of his runs so far, the latter over 2300m at Corlay on July 14th. Ought to be on the premises
3. LAWYER DU SEUIL – Newcomer by Galiway, the dam was a useful performer who won twice including a Group 2 AQ race. Should know his job and can expected to be involved
4. LORD ST GEORGES – Unraced gelding by Estejo, stable runners warrant respect on their debut. Any market support should be noted
5. LILI STAR – Unraced filly by Team Flight, likely to improve a good deal for this run. Any market support should be noted
6. LOLLY POP – Two unplaced runs so far, the latter over 2400m at Vichy on July 24th. Looks hard to recommend
Summary: With race experience on her side, LOLLY STAR (1) can win after a good run last time when upped in grade at Le Lion D’Angers into Group 3 AQ Class. Her main threat could come from LAWYER DU SEUIL (3) who has a nice profile. His dam was a useful filly who scored in Group 2 AQ Class. He should be watched in the betting for any support. LAGERLOF (2) has shaped with promise when third on both runs so far and can not be overlooked.

3. L’INITIE – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2500m in a claimer at this track on July 15th at this track. Others rate higher

5. MEISHO BONHEUR – Fair 3rd over course and distance last time in a handicap on July 15h. Holds a leading chance
Summary: TWENTY SEVEN JET (1) won over course and distance last time in late July. He will be fit and a bold show can be expected. MEISHO BONHEUR (5) ran well over track and trip last time and will make her rivals work hard for the win. ARTUS THE BRAVE (2) has been in good class races on his latest two runs when out of the money. If producing his debut run when he won, he can not be overlooked and can have a say in proceedings.

12. DONA JUANA – Has four unplaced runs so far, all last year, with the latest over 2900m at Durtal on December 17th in a Class 4 race. Can be overlooked
Summary: KALEO SALSA (11) was a pleasing third on her debut last month. She will improve from that experience and can play a lead role in this. SEA GARDENS (7) has plenty of race experience and could be the main danger to the selection. ROCKMAR (1) showed talent on his only run at Morlaix in March and should be on the premises with improvement expected. SING (5) heads the remainder.
