3. NOIR – Caught the eye when 3rd in the 1800m National Day Handicap (on her Quinte+ debut) and confirmed that form by finishing 3rd behind Morphewan in a 2000m Quinté+ at Deauville on 10 August. Has obvious claims
4. GET SET – Won a 2000m Quinté+ at La Teste in July but has struggled (unplaced) in both subsequent starts under 3kg penalty – finished 10th on both occasions, the latest in a 2400m Quinte+ on this course on 1 September
5. BELAFONTE – Won a 1900m PSF claimer at Deauville on 8 August. Carries a 1,5kg penalty on his return to the handicaps

7. COSMAS – Won a 1900m PSF handicap in November but has made only 1 start in 2024 – unplaced (8th) in a 1900m PSF claimer at Deauville on 8 August. Best watched for now
8. PLAIN BEAU – Consistent performer in the claiming category and wasn’t winning out of turn when scoring over 1800m in a Compiegne claimer on 24 May. Absent since so is best watched for now

14. CHIAREGGIO – Won 1 2000m Chantilly handicap before finishing a creditable 5th in a 1900m PSF Quinté+ at Deauville in late July. Wasnt able to deliver a challenge when only 15th in a 2000m Quinte+ at Deauville on 10 August so shouldn’t be hastily condemned

Summary: CALAS (2) has maintained his form and consistency in 4 outings off his current mark, and proven his competitiveness in 3 starts at Quinte+ level, since winning a Saint-Cloud handicap 5 starts back. He is awkwardly stationed in stall No 11 but is undeniably capable of winning in this grade. NOIR (3), like the selection, possesses a smart turn of foot and retains sufficient means to play a leading role. CHIAREGGIO (14), who shouldn’t be hastily condemned for a disappointing last start when unable to deliver his challenge, and ultra-consistent THUNDERSPEED (6) have legitimate winning chances too. NEPALAIS (10), LOU MAN (11), whose form with this headgear fitted has improved, and GIRAFFE (9), after an encouraging Vichy comeback, have podium aspirations.

7. BORN TO WIN – Unplaced on his last two runs, 3rd on debut at Saint-Cloud on May 20th over 2400m. Can make the frame at nice odds on handicap debut
8. ANNA MANDARA – 4th on the last run over 2400m at Beaupreau on August 24th. Still a maiden after 13 runs and might have to wait for the first win
9. L’AGORA GAME – 3rd last time, she won before that over 2300m at Brehal in a Class 3 race on August 12th. Has outside place claims
Summary: HATIM (4) has been in good shape with a win at Agen in May and two second-placed runs since then. The latest was in a handicap at Clairefontaine in early August. She can score from REINE DU RISK (3) who was second at Chateaubriant in mid-August when last seen and looks like she can be improving. DYLAN’S SPIRIT (5) got her head in front last time at this track over today’s journey and he could have a bit more to come. SILLABUB (1) is honest and can not be overlooked.

3. BALINA GARY – Did well when 3rd at Craon over 2400m in a Class 4 handicap on August 31st on the last run. Looks competitive
4. ROCHEUX – Has several unplaced runs since a 2nd placed run over 2500m in a Class 4 handicap at Le Croise Laroche on May 19th. Needs to get back on track

9. CALITEA DE LA TOUR – 4th last time over 2400m at Craon on August 31st in a Class 4 handicap. Still a maiden but has claims to be involved
10. LES EMBRUNS – 4th on the last run over 2400m in a Class 4 race on August 4th. Not the most consistent and others make more appeal

16. RIVER DAVEN – Placed on both runs this year, 4th at Pornichet on February 9th over 2100m in a Class 4 handicap when last seen. Might need this run after an absence
Summary: In an open handicap, it may pay to side with DEAU COEUR (1) who has been in great shape of late. Her latest second at Redon was only 14 days ago. She probably has the most to fear from BALINA GARY (3) who was a nice third at Craon 15 days ago. FELIX FELICIS (12) looks like one for the each-way backers to latch on to after a decent second last time at Craon at the end of last month. CRASY DAY (2) makes up the shortlist.

16. PENNBLE – Two unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 2100m at Senonnes on March 23rd in a Class 4 handicap. Opposable
Summary: SOULOU MALPIC (6) can put a below-par run last time behind him and he is best judged on his win over course and distance in early August. He probably has the most to worry about from PRESCY LIIA (14) who ran well at Clairefontaine when she was second late last month. VRUMPEA (9) has good recent placed form at this track and is a solid each-way option. COSQUER VRAS (12) looks best of the remainder.

KAYO COCO (1) showed ability until parting company with his jockey at Vittel in mid-July and will be expected to atone. ETOILE DE PRETOT (7) has been at very best over a bit shorter but can contest the finish. IRUNDO (2) won his first crack at a cross-country so could have more wins in the tank. 11. BAHIA WARANA – Will need to progress hugely on latest 4th finish over 2500m at Parislongchamp to beat this field and is therefore best ignored for the win. Outside place chance at best
Summary: AKBAR (5) is lightly raced, competed in Germany last time and back home, can go very close to getting it all right. He is the firm first choice. DIAMOND STAR (3) has been running fair races and earning cheques for her patrons. Her last two were in Handicaps and she looks set for a huge performance. Bright chance. SKADOOSH (4) can be forgiven for the last run when 9th at Chantilly but rather judged on penultimate victory at Vichy over 2000m. Big runner. RUBY IN THE ROCKS (2) has a first four chance and a must include in all bets.

1. DAR TOUNGI – Can be expected to build plenty off recent 6th over 1800m at Clairefontaine in Listed company. Big chance
2. BOLTHOLE – Won penultimate start in Listed class, followed up with an attractive 5th at Compiegne over 2000m, again, in Listed class and rates the one to be with
3. KAMMURI DIAMOND – Won a Listed race in Germany on the 18th of August over 2400m and could get into the action. An outsider with a small place chance
4. EVERILLO – Won penultimate start but let the team down after that when way downfield in 13th place and therefore would be a shock winner
5. AIGLE VAILLANT – Is a likely outsider and will need to build on latest 8th finish at Compiegne to feature here. Pass by
6. MILLIONAIRE – Comes from Germany and brings good form with. Won penultimate, placed 2nd over 2400m at Dusseldorf and should have strong claims here. Big chance
7. DILAWAR – Boasts useful form in Listed races of late and will be a huge danger to the first choice. Placed 3rd over 1800m at Clairefontaine on the 27th of July. Should go very close
8. ZEN SPIRIT – Makes his local debut, has been reeling off wins in Poland and will be a force to be reckoned with. Placed 2nd over 2400m last time but won 6 in a row before that. Impressive
9. SHEEMA’S ROSE – She has been running in very strong Group and Listed races recently but has not really shone. She is capable of improving on those efforts
10. ZORA – Lightly raced, won penultimate, finished 5th at Deauville over 2000m on the 15th of August and can be given a serious place chance
Summary: BOLTHOLE (1) has been lining up in some hugely competitive Listed and Group races and been acquitting himself with aplomb. His last run was at Compiegne over 2000m in Listed class. Bright win chance in a competitive field. DILAWAR (7) is good and already notched up six victories. He has been competing in tough Listed races in his last four and been in the shake up. He has strong claims. Big chance. MILLIONAIRE (6) brings piping hot form into the race from Germany and is obviously here for business. Bright win claims. DAR TOUNGI (1) boasts useful form and should be right there at the finish. Include and respect for all bets.

SOUND OF SIXTIES (4) has scope for most improvement and ran well when 5th last time out but did struggle on debut over this track and trip.NEKOLETO (1) and LALOU (2) have their good recent runs in claimers and still have to show that they can win handicaps off their current marks. MR RIEM (9) has recent form in handicaps and can get involved with the finish again.

12. TROIS POINT HUIT – Unreliable and was well beaten last time out in a handicap at Deauville over 1500m on 25 August. Others are much preferred
13. LIGHT THE FUSE – Has struggled of late and was tenth last time out in a Conditions race at Vittel over 1600m on 25 August. Needs major improvement to win
Summary: A very open handicap. LEX LUTHOR (6) has done well at this course in the past and was not disgraced in handicap in Germany last time out so could be of some value in this lucky last race. KARINAS DREAM (1) flopped on the PSF last time out but did win his penultimate start and should be a threat back on the turf. YOU’VE GOT SAIL (4) is capable of better and deserves some respect. DROIT DE PAROLE (2) is in good form and has a winning chance.

C1 – PRIX ZETURF – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 |
1. KIR ROYAL – Secured the hat-trick in a 2700m Vittel Class H a month ago. Steps un in category but is proven here and not to be underestimated
2. KAMOVA DU RILER – Sanctioned on clockwise debut late last month, faulting in a 2050m Cabourg Class D, and is unlikely to influence the result
3. KAISER LATAL – 2nd of 12, at 80/1, in a 2050m Cabourg Class D late-August, but a repeat seems improbable
4. KAMOUR – Won over course and distance early-June before coming 10th of 12 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class E late-July. Has had time to get his house in order and will be expected to redeem himself
5. KILIMANDJARO – Disappointing this summer, most recently 10th of 13 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last weekend, and can be passed over
6. KILLER DE BEAULIEU – 2nd at La Capelle before disappointing 7th of 9 in a 2850m Feurs Class B a fortnight ago. Is plainly in shape though and, with hind shoes off this time, can make amends
7. KASH DES RIOULTS – Debuts at the venue after comfortably winning a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 18 August. Breaks in front, has decent speed, and can play a leading role
8. KIRA DE CAHOT – Made up for her Enghien effort with 5th of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 9 days ago. Imposed last time at Reims and, from the front row, can do so again
9. KELIA DES TOUCHES – Rewarded for her efforts over recent weeks with victory in a 2800m Vire Class E 11 days ago. Hails from a yard going good-guns and represents a decent place chance
10. KEN FERFAY – Has not been seen out since coming 7th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 4 months ago. Shoes on and no danger
11. KAVAL BOURBON – Makes first appearance since winning a 2700m Vincennes Class D last January. Has won at the venue but stays shod and will need the run
12. KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE – Authoritative winner of a 2650m Class B at Divonne-les-Bains 3.5 weeks ago. Has solid right-handed references and even in this company can make his presence felt
13. KONFINEE – Drops back to a more reasonable level after finishing 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 late last month. Makes first start racing right-handed, from the back row, but will still have her supporters
14. KOKOTE – Handy filly that ran 5th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 late last month. Makes just 2nd clockwise start and others easier to back
15. KARMA QUICK – Won 2 on the trot before coming 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 10 August. Has no references racing clockwise, starts with the handicap but, if his trainer has declared him, he’s in to win. Attention
Summary: There is a distinct advantage among front-line starters here, notably a freshly-configured KIRA DE CAHOT (8) who reassured in Paris recently and who benefits from already having won at the venue. KASH DES RIOULTS (7) opened his 2024 account last month and must be taken more seriously this time around. A winner here on his penultimate start, KAMOUR (4) returns fresh and will be competitive for a repeat performance. KELIA DES TOUCHES (9) enjoys a fine entry and, in current form, deserves to take her chances.

1. FALKIR BUIZARDERIE – Last of 13 in a 3025m Class F at Montier-en-Der last weekend. Shoes on again and has nothing to contribute
2. HAS DE COEUR – 2nd of 13 in a 2800m Vire Class F on 4 September. Similarly-shod here and, confirmed at Reims, can apply the pressure on MISTER DONALD (4)
3. FERVENTE – Placed at Le Mans before coming 4th of 13 in a 2875m Enghien Class D a month ago. Went close on lone [monté] appearance here, and even though shod this time, still has the class to give this a good go
4. MISTER DONALD – Returns to racing right-handed after finishing 7th behind STARO MOJITO (6) in a 2100m Vincennes Class E late last month. Pierre-Yves Verva reining this time, and his charge can win his first for almost 3 years
5. HUNT – Returned to victorious ways 2.5 weeks ago, with a facile 2700m Graignes Class F success. Has references at this level and is unlikely to disappoint. First 5
6. STARO MOJITO – 3rd of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 31 August. Breaks in front, appreciates the Reims profile, and will be expected to contest the finish
7. HARCOUEL – Fine 2nd at Cabourg before finishing 8th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 3.5 weeks ago. Handed a tough draw but still has the capacity to defy it and figure prominently
8. GRANDE SOIREE – Sanctioned in last 4, latterly a 2550m Dieppe Class F 2 weeks ago. Padded all around this time but still not an obvious choice
9. NYMKE BRIGADOON – Has not been seen out since coming last of 14 in a 2675m Lisieux Class E last March and will need the run
10. FOREVER ISQUES – Reassuring 5th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class D last Saturday. On the back line again but chances of a repeat slim at best
11. FRISE PONT VAUTIER – Placed at Abbeville before finishing 8th of 13 in a 3025m Class F at Montier-en-Der last weekend and can expect to have few friends
12. GENERAL MITCHELL – Regularly thereabouts at the business end, most recently 4th of 16 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F a fortnight ago. On 2nd line but can still get in on the action
13. GLORIOSO BELLO – Steps up in category, and is freshly-configured, after coming 2nd of 14 in a 2100m Vincennes claimer earlier in the month and the draw only complicates matters
Summary: Solid at Meslay-du-Maine before taking his chances at Vincennes, MISTER DONALD (4) has been out of the money just once when racing clockwise and makes his Reims debut, from the 4-spot, with a good hand to play. Pierre-Yves Verva can expect to encounter resistance though from the well-placed HAS DE COEUR (2) who reassured at Vire earlier in the month. Barring a July sanction, STARO MOJITO (6) has been firing on all cylinders recently and looks a serious proposition. Back at a more reasonable level, HARCOUEL (7) is plainly in form and, despite a wide draw, still looks competitively well-in.

1. JOJO TOONS – Pleasant 4th of 8 in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2.5 weeks ago, on just 2nd start back, and with form maintained, can play a small part
2. JOIE D’AMOUR – Starts for the first time since faulting in a 2875m Argentan Class E mid-April. Hind shoes off but can still be passed over
3. JUSTIN DES MARAIS – Sanctioned when going well in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2.5 weeks ago. Has previously won right-handed, is a tough nut when focused, and with application will have his chances
4. JOUVENCE D’AVRIL – Got back in the game 3 weeks ago when 2nd of 11 in a 2400m Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne. Nicely-placed in front and, on good behaviour, could even win this time
5. JEANBAT DANOVER – Unthreatening 6th of 15 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on Thursday. Well-placed in front but backs up with limited prospects
6. JAWAX DE KERYANN – Not once out of first 4 in last 5 starts, latterly 4th of 12 in a 2650m Class E at Divonne-les-Bains on 20 August. Is as good racing right-handed as left- and will not be far from the action
7. JURAC DE VALFORG – Quality element boasting a superb win-rate, most recently successful in a 2800m Tours Class F a fortnight ago. Does not enjoy the best of draws but still has the wherewithal to impose
8. JESSIE LAKE – Off the boil over recent months, latterly 8th of 12 in a 2550m Dieppe Class E 2 weeks ago, and will have little to offer
9. JOB DU CEBE – Just one blip on his formcard over past 3 months, latterly runner-up to JURAC DE VALFORG (7) in a 2800m Vibraye Class F 2 weeks ago, but faces a much stiffer test this time around
10. JACK FOULONIERE – Failed to confirm her Argentan performance when 12th of 14 behind JARDIN D’ERABLE (14) in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 27 August, and is not about to cause an upset
11. JOKER DU MATCH – As solid as a rock all season, most recently 2nd of 8 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E early last month. Breaks from the rear but still has a realistic chance of picking up a cheque
12. JASMIN DU NORD – Has not been seen out since coming 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D early-June. Has never failed to deliver at Reims, and shod to preference for comeback, must not be ignored
13. JAVELOT DE HOUELLE – Last but one in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class D a month ago. Shoes on again and chances slim at best
14. JARDIN D’ERABLE – Surprise 2nd of 14 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle late last month. Races in same configuration but the draw will do him no favours
Summary: JURAC DE VALFORG (7) makes his first Reims appearance having won 3 of his last 5 starts; he has imposed at a superior level and even from the outside can add another notch to his belt. Bertrand Le Beller will still be paying attention to the better-positioned, but tricky, JOUVENCE D’AVRIL (4) who gave a reassuringly-good account last time out, and JAWAX DE KERYANN (6) who has hardly put a foot out of place this summer. As complicated as they come, JUSTIN DES MARAIS (3) is by no means devoid of talent and can play a prominent role if Nathan Rousseau keeps him trotting.

C4 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE MONTIER EN DER – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 21,000 |
1. JOEPIE – Gives the monté code a try after faulting in a 2500m Bihorel-lès-Rouen Class F last Sunday and has no realistic chance
2. JAYA DU QUENNE – 8th of 14 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F late last month. Has been out of sorts since the spring and will have few friends
3. JUPITER PLANCHETTE – Unraced since faulting in a 2525m Cavaillon harness Class D 3 months ago, reverts to a previous formula, but is too frequently sanctioned to warrant much support
4. KRONOS JIEL – Quickly sanctioned in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 2 August. Has been given time to get himself together and the new shoeing formula may be just the ticket
5. KERENE MIXO – Changes direction and shoeing after faulting in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Reverts to a winning formula and on good behaviour can make a big splash
6. KIARA D’ECOTAY – Reverts to racing barefoot after coming in a beaten 6th of 8 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 28 August. Is unbeaten in 2 starts here though and should not be far off the mark
7. KALMIA DES NOES – Put 4 sanctions behind her when runner-up to KENYAN BLUES (8) in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 18 August. Unlikely to repeat but, with application, can make her presence felt
8. KENYAN BLUES – Ran 2nd at Le Mont-Saint-Michel before faulting in a 2750m Ecommoy harness Class E last weekend. Is hard to fault under the saddle when focused and with front pads fitted again, will be no easy touch
9. JAGUAR DELO – Made it 2 in a row when successful in a 3025m Montier-en-Der harness Class H last weekend, but debuts in the monté discipline with little to offer
10. KING DE JADE – Last but one when prepping for this in a 2050m Cabourg harness Class D late last month and, with stride in check, should have this in the bag
11. KATSOUKA – Takes first competitive monté steps after coming 2nd of 5 finishers in a 2650m Hyères Class D on 12 August, but takes on a good bunch and chances limited
12. KALIE D’URSIN – Hind shoes off following his sanctioned return run in a 2875m Enghien harness Class D mid-August, and has a reasonable chance of getting a look-in
13. KHARTOUM DE LA FYE – Good 3rd of 8, on re-entry, in a 2925m Cagnes harness Class D on 27 July. Has freshness on his side and, with a talented jockey on board, will be afforded every chance
Summary: Tenacious but clear winner at Cabourg early last month, KING DE JADE (10) has yet to be bested when fitted with 4 pads and can wrap this up if Victor Saussaye keeps him focused. Confirmed at Caen earlier in the season, KERENE MIXO (5) races right-handed for just the 2nd time, but has already won in the day’s configuration and will be no pushover. KRONOS JIEL (4) imposed with ease at Amiens before faulting early at Cabourg, but races unshod behind for first time and will have his chances if he gets off on the right foot. Just €60 from elimination, KHARTOUM DE LA FYE (13) sports just hind shoes for his monté debut and Pierre-Yves Verva will be eager to capitalise.

1. IRELAND TEAM – Sanctioned for the 2nd time in a row when faulting in a 2950m Le Mans Class F on Wednesday. Shoes back on and will pose no threat
2. INDY VET – Showed improvement when 5th of 7 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2.5 weeks ago. Should be fit by now but would be preferred racing left-handed
3. INES DE GLADJESS – 2nd of 10 in a 2550m Class E at Gournay-en-Bray a fortnight ago. Takes on a better bunch this time but appreciates Reims and, from the front line, can give this a good go
4. IT’S THE KING – Won going left-handed before failing to deliver at Bréhal 3.5 weeks ago. Comes here fresh though and, with his mind on the job, can play a key role
5. INCREDIBLE CHARM – Hard to fault at present, most recently dominating a 2700m Graignes amateurs Class G 3.5 weeks ago, and returns to racing clockwise with every chance of repeating
6. IGGY RUDLAND – Better than recent results would suggest, most recently 7th of 11 in a 2700m Vittel Class H 3 weeks ago. Nicely-entered on the front line and looks considerably more competitive this time around
7. GHOST DE BEAULIEU – 7th of 10, on just 2nd start back, in an amateurs Class G over course and distance 2 weeks ago and, even with hind shoes off, from the 2nd line will have no chance
8. GUERRIER ROYAL – A complete write-off since returning from a lengthy layoff, most recently last but one in a 2550m Dieppe Class F last Monday, and backs up with no possible chance
9. GAZ OIL – Disappointing on the whole under harness, most recently sanctioned when unsupported in a 2550m Dieppe Class F on Monday, and will have few, if any, takers
10. IMPERATOR D’EM – Fine servant that briefly lost his way, latterly 6th of 9 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last weekend. Already 3 times a winner this season and, reverting to a previous formula, can get back down to business
11. HAPPY MARANCOURT – Unplaced in 2 since winning at Beaumont, latterly 7th of 9 after faulting in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E a month ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and even from the back line can win this
Summary: Excellent in both codes over recent weeks, INCREDIBLE CHARM (5) won an amateur’s event in good order last time out and, in a legitimate bid for the double, will not be bothered by the change of direction. Pierre Courval will still be keeping a watchful eye on 2nd-line starter HAPPY MARANCOURT (11) who won in this configuration last autumn, and IGGY RUDLAND (6) who is 25m better off. IT’S THE KING (4) failed to confirm his Sainte-Marie-du-Mont success but form is not in question and he will be dangerous if Gilles D’Haenens can keep him focused.

1. LITTLEBOY D’HOLLOW – Showed the limits of his capacity when 5th of 6 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E earlier in the month and is unlikely to be troubling the judge
2. L’AUDACE – Unremarkable 6th of 11 in a 2550m Dieppe Class E a fortnight ago and would be preferred a level down
3. LUTIN DU VAUTOUR – Last of 9, on first start since the break, in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle 2.5 weeks ago and will need another outing
4. LILY BECO – Tricky character but put any worries to bed when 3rd of 10 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 9 days ago. Is confirmed racing clockwise and can make this her own
5. LAGO DE PERVENCHE – Won 2 racing right-handed before finishing 8th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes class D 2.5 weeks ago, and changes direction again with every chance of extending his run of form
6. LISTAO – Struggled earlier in the summer but finished a reassuring 2nd of 7 in a 2150m Cagnes Class E on 19 August. Has ample talent and will not be far off the mark if he takes to the new profile
7. LUNA KALOUMA – Pleased at Vittel before trotting 5th of 9 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle late last month. No slouch when focused but a minor place chance at best
8. LEPIDOPTERISTE – Continued his troubled ways when sanctioned on return to competition, in a 2750m Class B at La Capelle on 4 September, and must get his house in order
9. LIGHTNING RIVER – Just front pads fitted this time after coming 5th of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D mid-August. Is confirmed at Reims and with Franck Ouvrie reining, is unlikely to disappoint. First 5
10. LE MAC – Never far from the action when applied, most recently 3rd of 6 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 12 days ago. Should take well to Reims conditions and must be considered a leading contender
11. LIFOU IRIS’EYES – 8th of 10, on first start since the spell, in a 2750m Class B at La Capelle 11 days ago. Will have come on for the run and, at ease racing clockwise, can mix it up here
Summary: Still searching for that elusive first win, LILY BECO (4) left quite the impression at Vincennes recently and in similar form can trot off with the silverware. The somewhat trickier LE MAC (10) is in the same boat but is proven at Reims and his latest Paris performance bodes well for his prospects. Winner of his first 2 before being trounced last time out, LAGO DE PERVENCHE (5) is not incapable of maintaining his perfect right-handed record. LISTAO (6) got back in the game on the Riviera last month and will have his chances if he turns.

C7 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE VITTEL – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 |
1. KAZAK ROYAL – A model of consistency this summer, latterly 2nd of 8 in a 2700m Vittel Class F on 27 July. Shoes off for the occasion but is still being aimed too high
2. KEEP COOL BELRI – Sanctioned in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle last weekend. Still in conditioning-mode and has no possible chance
3. KALAO TOURNIBOIS – Won a 2900m Arras Class F just under a month ago. Takes a significant hike in category though and chances seem limited
4. KILIANA DU VAUTOUR – Surprise winner at Arras last month before finishing 8th of 11 in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle last weekend, and can be ruled out
5. KSAR DU CORTA – Missed out by the smallest of margins in a 2800m Vire Class E 11 days ago. In similar form, and with stride in check, can figure prominently
6. KIT ANGOT – Got off the mark [at 21st time of asking] in a 3150m Abbeville Class F on 11 August. Is clearly on the way up and returns to racing right-handed with a realistic chance of repeating
7. KING FOR TWO – Briefly lost his way last month but reassuring 4th of 7 in a 2200m Class E at Salon-de-Provence 2 weeks ago. Fitted with 4 pads for first time and looks a decent first-5 prospect
8. KOKINE BECO – Imposed at Châteauroux 3 weeks ago before coming 3rd of 13 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Sunday. Change of formula but still not a priority
9. KARISME NAY – Honest sort that lost his maiden status in a 2500m Vibraye Class F 3 weeks ago. Placed on lone appearance here and will be expected to go close once more
10. KOMAN – Placed twice right-handed before finishing 11th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E last Saturday. Will appreciate the change of direction and is not incapable of getting a look-in
11. KILIWATCH – Makes first appearance since coming last of 11 in a 2575m Agen Class D on 22 June. Barefoot for re-entry but others still preferred
12. KARTER LEWIS – Form headed in right direction, and sports a new configuration, but will need to improve on recent 6th of 12 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago, and represents no more than a minor place chance
13. KARA DE KER – Scored her 2nd of the summer when victorious in a 2550m Dieppe Class F a fortnight ago. In a better category this time but still looks up to the task. Chance
14. KETTINA DU CYGNE – 2nd of 7 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Enjoys an excellent entry, appreciates Reims, and with Franck Nivard reining, will be afforded every chance
Summary: After blundering early at Amiens last month, KIT ANGOT (6) set the record straight 10 days later and, confirmed at Reims, looks eminently capable of winning this. That being said, KARA DE KER (13) has been a revelation since starting to race barefoot and, even though stepping back up in category, still looks dangerous. KARISME NAY (9) got off the mark 3 weeks ago and with hind shoes off again, will be no pushover. KSAR DU CORTA (5) has started to come good again and, if focused, will be competitive for a place in the frame.

C8 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE WISSEMBOURG – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 15,000 |
1. MAGGIE MAY – Qualified left-handed, in 1’19″2, at Laval in early-July. Benoît Robin has a good hand with young horses and this is one worth monitoring
2. MASINA DE TILLARD – Qualified, when never pushed, in 1’19″2 at Caen in early-May. Hails from a top yard and is not incapable of getting straight down to business
3. MISSANDEI – Qualified without fanfare, in 1’19″5, at Caen in early-May, and just staying in stride might be good enough to pick up a first-5 cheque
4. MOLINE DE PADD – Qualified in 1’19″0 at Caen in late-July. Comes from a good home and debuts with a realistic chance of getting straight off the mark
5. MYGIRL DES FORGES – Qualified in 1’18″0 at Caen 3.5 weeks ago, and a similar effort may well be good enough to win a race of this nature
6. MADOKA JIEL – Looked very ordinary on debut, coming last of 8 in a 2300m Montier-en-Der Class G mid-August, and is unlikely to shake things up
7. MALICIA – Sanctioned, first time out, in a 2300m Montier-en-Der Class G on 18 August, and is unlikely to garner much support
8. MUNCH CLUB – Sanctioned on debut in a 2400m Arras Class F on 18 August. Has the look of a respectable trotter in the making though and, with application, should be able to trot his way into the money
9. MARVEL MESLOIS – 7th first time out before being sanctioned in a 2200m Caen Class F last Monday and will not be easy to trust
10. MASSALIA DU BOURG – Unexceptional 5th of 7 in a 2400m Arras Class F, first time out, on 18 August, and will need to find significantly more
Summary: Success may lay among the untried elements here and the smartly-bred MOLINE DE PADD (4), who qualified decently at Caen, is a case in point. MYGIRL DES FORGES (5) qualified a second faster at the same track and also looks a live chance. MASINA DE TILLARD (2) looked better in qualification than most of the horses with a run in them, and deserves to be taken seriously. MUNCH CLUB (8) may have missed the boat first time out but Franck Ouvrie will be loathe to let the same thing happen again.
