French Selections Thursday 19th

R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DES HIPPODROMES DU MORBIHAN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000

1. CHERRY TOP – 3rd of 13, on 2nd start back, in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle a fortnight ago. Hind shoes off, with Franck Nivard in the bike, and is not going to be far off the mark

2. HAWAI PONT VAUTIER – Won over 2625m before coming 4th, a place behind CHERRY TOP (1), in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle a fortnight ago. Hard to knock when focused, in this configuration, and should not be overlooked on Vincennes debut

3. IBERIK DE MONGOCHY – Sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien monté Class C on 27 July. Shod for the occasion and has other priorities

4. IGUSKI SAUTONNE – Impressive 2nd in a 2950m Le Mans Gr.3 8 days ago. Has previously won at the venue and, with form maintained, can go one better

5. HERALDIQUE – Would have finished 3rd had he not faulted in final stages of a 2875m Enghien Class C early-July. Has excelled at Vincennes this year and will be no soft touch

6. CYRANO DE B. – Has 2 races under his belt after a long absence, latterly last but one in a 2875m Enghien Class B late-July. Goes barefoot for the occasion, has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for first time, and is not to be underestimated

7. FOLLOW ME FLASH – Failed to confirm his late-August success when 10th of 14, behind GINO VIVA (11), in a Class C over track and trip 12 days ago. Has never delivered over 2700m here and is not about to start

8. IRON MESLOIS – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently winning a 2925m Cagnes Class A 3.5 weeks ago, and returns to Paris with a good hand to play

9. IBISCUS MAN – Sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien monté Class C late last month, but showed his form all the same. Has nothing to prove at this level and will be competitive for a place on the podium

10. FLUO MESLOIS – 10th of 13 in a Class C over course and distance a month ago and, better under the saddle, is not about to cause an upset

11. GINO VIVA – Close 3rd of 14 in a similar event here on 7 September. Has a fine Vincennes record and must be considered a contender

12. EL SANTO HAUFOR – Modest type that finished last of 13 in a 2650m Alençon Class D on 1 September and has no possible chance

13. FALCO DES ROCHERS – Sanctioned, when unsupported, in a Class C over course and distance a month ago. Shoes back on and will pose no danger

Summary: Versatile and in form, IGUSKI SAUTONNE (4) drops back in category after missing out by little in a Le Mans Gr.3 last week and looks to have the measure of most here. He will be directly opposed though by the remarkably consistent HERALDIQUE (5) who has had time to recuperate following his unexpected Enghien sanction, and IBISCUS MAN (9) who tends to be seen more often at a superior level. Winner at Enghien before coming 3rd under these conditions 12 days ago, GINO VIVA (11) looks a major player.

SELECTIONS

C2 – PX HIPP. GUER-COETQUIDAN ET LA GACILLY – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 46,000

1. HAPPY DU LAS VEGAS – Was on a fine run of form before being sanctioned in a 2725m Pornichet Class E a month back. Returns to racing with front shoes off and but appears to have too much to do

2. IVALO DU BOCAGE – Disappointing for much of 2024, latterly sanctioned in a 2700m harness Class E here 2 weeks ago. Has no monté references and, even with hind shoes off, can be ruled out

3. INDICE DU CAIEU – 5th of 9 in a 2675m harness Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 11 days ago. Is not without merit, and will be ridden by Alexandre Abrivard, but chances still limited

4. IGGY DE FLORANGE – Faithful servant that finished 4th of 6 in a 2875m Enghien Class F mid-August. Unlikely to get his nose in front here but can still finish close

5. IAROSLAVA – Tricky character that imposed at Les Andelys before faulting in a 3100m Nort-sur-Erdre Class H last Sunday. Won her only appearance under these conditions though and, reconfigured, will generate interest

6. IXOR DE L’ITON – Comfortable winner at Pornichet before running 5th of 9, behind IGGY DE FLORANGE (4), in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F early-August. Won under these conditions last winter and is not to be ignored

7. IBILI D’OCCAGNES – Won nicely at Cabourg before coming 5th of 6, a place behind IGGY DE FLORANGE (4) in a 2875m Enghien Class F mid-August. Needs to step up his game to win this but can nevertheless get a look-in

8. ISLAMORADA – Won 3 of last 4 monté starts before finishing last but one in a 2750m Cabourg harness Class E conditioner late last month. Shoes off, as is her preference, and can impose

9. INSTINCT DE CLERCE – 9th of 12 in a 2100m harness Class E here 3.5 weeks ago and debuts under the saddle with hind shoes off and limited aspiration

10. HISTOIRE THORIS – Makes first public appearance under the saddle after coming last but one in a 2400m Ploublay harness Class F 11 days ago, and seems to have nothing to offer

11. IN LOVE DE BLARY – Inherited victory in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, but this takes nothing away from her ability. Is clearly in fine condition, should appreciate the more even surface, and is capable of making a big impact

12. HERCULE DU PARC – 7th of 9 in an 1800m harness Class F at La Capelle a fortnight ago. Returns to a more suitable distance but still not an obvious choice

13. HOUSTON DE BLARY – Very disappointing this term, latterly 8th of 9, behind IGGY DE FLORANGE (4), in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F early-August. Shoes on and no chance

14. IGNACE GUENESERIE – Won at Carentan before coming 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2625m Class F at La Rochelle on 7 August. Likes Vincennes and, in present shape, is an obvious choice for a place on the podium

Summary: ISLAMORADA (8) achieved her first goal of the season last month and goes barefoot again, at a track she appreciates, and has a realistic chance of repeating. Camille Levesque will still be keeping a keen eye on IN LOVE DE BLARY (11) who showed her form at Laval late last month, and IGNACE GUENESERIE (14) who is very hard to fault at present. IGGY DE FLORANGE (4) always gives his best and will not be going home empty-handed.

SELECTIONS
ISLAMORADA (8) – IN LOVE DE BLARY (11) – IGNACE GUENESERIE (14) – IGGY DE FLORANGE (4)
C3 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE PLOERMEL – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000

1. LAUREATE DRY – Won 2 in a row before coming 4th of 11, despite faulting, in a 2875m Enghien Class C late-July. Comes here fresh and can make a big splash if Alexandre Abrivard keeps her trotting

2. L’ETOILE – Left a good impression when 2nd of 14 in a 2150m Enghien Class D mid-August. Enjoys a decent place on front line and is unlikely to disappoint

3. LUNA DOMA – Returns to racing left-handed after winning a 2550m Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 3.5 weeks ago. Nicely-placed behind the car, has 4 pads fitted for the occasion, but others still preferred

4. LAST QUEEN – Has 2 runs under her belt, latterly last of 9 in a 2850m Class C here earlier in the month. Will appreciate the drops in distance and, from the 4-spot, will be no pushover

5. LAVANDE DE ROCHE – 7th of 11, on return to competition, in a 2850m Class C here on 3 August. Will have come on for the run and can get in on the action if Eric Raffin keeps her stride in check

6. LATINA QUICK – Made short work of a Class E over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Is clearly a filly for the future and should be able to wrap this up

7. LYRA DU METZ – Has 2 races under her belt since the spell, most recently sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien Class C a fortnight ago, and is unlikely to influence the result

8. LINOTTE DU MOUCHEL – Unraced since trotting an unexceptional 4th of 5 in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 3 July. Debuts over the main track but may find the going a bit too tough

9. L’HAVANA D’ELMA – Made up for her sanction at La Capelle with an 86/1 victory in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Forced to start wide but is evidently on the way up and must be taken more seriously

10. LADRA DI MALAVITA – Won over 2150m at Enghien before running 5th of 9 in a 2875m Class C at the same venue on 14 August. Has had time to freshen up and, with hind pads fitted for first time, will be worth monitoring

11. LYLOU DES THUYAS – Well-beaten 10th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class C, on return to competition late-July, and will need another outing

12. LUGACHA – 6th of 9, a place behind LADRA DI MALAVITA (10), in a 2875m EnghienClass C mid-August and even with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, will have too much to do

13. LOUISA D’ATOUT – In the frame in last 3, most recently valiant 2nd of 9 in a 2950m Le Mans Class D last week. Tough draw but will not be far off the mark if Matthieu Abrivard successfully navigates the start

14. LUCIOLE DU VERTAIN – Did not enjoy the best of runs before causing interference, being disqualified in a 2850m Class C here on 3 September. Gabi Gelormini takes over in the wagon and, despite the draw, can start to put things right

15. LA DAME DE COEUR – Debuts at Vincennes after trotting 4th of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D late-August. Handed a tough draw though and has no left-handed references

16. LAGUNE – Sanctioned early in a 2875m Enghien Class C mid-August. Showed her form nevertheless, but the draw will do her no favours

Summary: Unbeaten in 3 starts to date, most recently flying up here a fortnight ago, LATINA QUICK (6) will take all the beating. Leading the opposition is Vincennes debutante LAUREATE DRY (1) who has won 2 of her last 3, and second-line starter LOUISA D’ATOUT (13) who has been hovering lately. Better-placed behind the car, L’ETOILE (2) missed out by little last time out and makes her Vincennes bow with a claim on a spot in the frame.

SELECTIONS
LATINA QUICK (6) – LAUREATE DRY (1) – LOUISA D’ATOUT (13) – L’ETOILE (2)
C4 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE PONTIVY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 40,000

1. KERIDA DE VIVOIN – 6th of 9 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 11 days ago and makes her Vincennes debut with little to offer

2. KOUREAS D’ELA – Produced 2 good efforts at Cabourg before faulting in a 2625m Class E at Saint-Jean-de-Monts a month ago. Benjamin Rochard reining this time and can figure prominently if he can keep her trotting

3. KOOKIE DE BELLANDE – 3rd at Cabourg before repeating in 28 August race of reference. Gets a 4kg allowance and will have her chances if still on the boil

4. KARA MIA – Makes first appearance since faulting in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 16 July. Has previously won over course and distance, sports a fresh configuration and, while not a priority, is still worth monitoring

5. KANDICE DU LOISIR – Well-beaten 5th, behind KOOKIE DE BELLANDE (3), in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago and will have little to contribute

6. KEMETCHA DES BAUX – Good, consistent sort that finished 7th of 8, on return from a spell, in a 2775m harness Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne late last month. Has a conditioner under her belt and every chance of winning this

7. KENA DE PADD – Sanctioned early in a 2250m Enghien Class D on 11 August. Is never easy to gauge but Alexandre Abrivard stays faithful and will not be far from the action if he can keep her focused

8. KALINE DE VIVOIN – Ran 5th at Enghien before losing her action in a Class D under these conditions 3 weeks ago. Form is not in question and the engagement of a top jockey will be expected to pay dividends

9. KITENA – Sanctioned, on return to competition mid-August, in a 2950m Saint-Malo harness Class E. Front shoes off as they were when imposing over track and trip last February, but others still preferred

10. KHALEESI LA VIE – Won 3 from 5 before coming 3rd of 11 in a 2100m harness Class D here on 24 August, and returns to the code with a decent chance of contesting the finish

11. KALY D’EOLE – Beaten 4th, behind KOOKIE DE BELLANDE (3), in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago, and will need to find considerably more

Summary: Simply excellent under the saddle, KEMETCHA DES BAUX (6) is shod to preference for her return to the code following a much-needed harness conditioner, and looks very much the pick of the field. She will still encounter resistance from KOOKIE DE BELLANDE (3) who is plainly close to her race, and KHALEESI LA VIE (10) who has hardly put a foot out of line since the spring. KALINE DE VIVOIN (8) failed to make it around unscathed here late last month but returns to racing shod and being reunited with Eric Raffin will only work in her favour.

SELECTIONS
KEMETCHA DES BAUX (6) – KOOKIE DE BELLANDE (3) – KHALEESI LA VIE (10) – KALINE DE VIVOIN (8)
C5 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE JOSSELIN – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000

1. JOYCE DE LA COUR – 11th of 13, when preparing for this, in a 2950m Le Mans Class E last week. Boasts good speed and is here on her merits. Place chance

2. JUNE D’ERABLE – Authoritative winner of a 2700m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Rarely disappoints when barefoot and, from the 2-spot, is the horse in the cross-hairs. Claim

3. JUVENIA DU CLOSET – Decent but never-threatening 7th of 13 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle late-August. Tends to acquit herself respectably here when focused though and is sufficiently well-placed to get a look-in

4. JUMBY BAY – Considerably better than her 10th of 11 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E a month ago would suggest. Has already won over track and trip, and with application, can give this a good go

5. JUSTICE DE JOUDES – Made up for her early-August clinker when close 2nd of 8 in a 2150m Enghien Class D 8 days later. Comes here fresh, is well-placed on the front line, and even with shoes on can still get in on the action

6. JEMILLIA BELLA – Takes a notable step up in class after running 2nd of 11 in a 2875m claimer here 9 days ago. Is unbeaten in the day’s configuration, but others still preferred

7. JASMINE D’OUILLY – 11th of 15 in a 2850m Class D here a fortnight ago. Gets a front-row start but others still easier to back

8. JALENDRA DE MALAC – Returns to racing barefoot after trotting 10th of 13 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 3.5 weeks ago. Has decent references over these shorter trips and, despite a wide draw, still merits respect

9. JUVAMINE RENARDIER – 10th of 14 in a similar event here late last month, but in the absence of foreign horses, and the males, can get back in the game

10. JESSY DES PISTES – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 11, behind JOYCE DE LA COUR (1), in a 2200m Le Mans Class D mid-July. Shoes on and no threat

11. JULIA QUESNOT – Runner-up to JUNE D’ERABLE (2) in a 2700m Class E here late last month. Races shod this time though and best to wait

12. JALAPA DU BUISSON – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2200m Le Mans Class D mid-July. Just front shoes off this time but has been lacklustre this year and will have few takers

13. JISMIE GRIFF – 9th of 12, on return from a break, in a 2550m Dieppe Class E last Saturday. Stays shod and can be ruled out

14. JADE VENESI – Has struggled lately, most recently sanctioned in a 2400m Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 3.5 weeks ago. On the back line, but returns to racing barefoot, and will have her supporters

15. JIVA – Fine servant that finished last but one, on return from a spell, in a 2950m Le Mans Class E last week. Is still in conditioning-mode and not a priority this time

16. JUMEIGE DE GODREL – Sanctioned when never dangerous in a 2950m Vichy Class E earlier in the month. Handed an unfavourable draw but is not devoid of ability and should not be written off

Summary: Successful here last month, on her first objective of the new season, JUNE D’ERABLE (2) finds herself nicely-positioned on the front line and can make this her own. Consistent for the most part, unshod for the occasion, and with a Le Mans conditioner under her belt, JOYCE DE LA COUR (1) pleased on her lone start at the venue and is not going to be far off the mark. JUMBY BAY (4) seldom disappoints under these conditions, has the plum spot in front, sports a new configuration, and will be dangerous if Matthieu Abrivard can keep her trotting. Although drawn wide, JUVAMINE RENARDIER (9) can play an active role if she replicates her Argentan performance.

SELECTIONS
JUNE D’ERABLE (2) – JOYCE DE LA COUR (1) – JUMBY BAY (4) – JUVAMINE RENARDIER (9)
C6 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE VANNES-SENE – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Amateur Riders Race – Mounted – EUR € 54,000

1. HOUARNEAU – Unlucky to be sanctioned in 6 September race of reference. Has bags of ability though and will be expected to play an active role if Lilian Bertin can keep him trotting

2. HOLESHOT – 9th of 11 on comeback run in a 3100m Nort-sur-Erdre Class F early-September. Barefoot this time but still has nothing to contribute

3. HELIUM DE L’ITON – Pleasant 6th of 10 in 6 September race of reference. Mathias Potier in the irons this time and has the wherewithal to make first 5

4. HETRE CHANGEEN – In the frame in last 2, latterly 2nd of 10 finishers in a 2200m Class E here a fortnight ago. Has previously won over the main track and can do so again

5. HAMISH – Below-par since winning over 2700m here in June, latterly 5th of 6 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 8 September. Is better than that though and can eke out a cheque

6. HELDIEN ALFA – Oddly out of sorts when 8th of 14 in a 2450m Castillonnès harness Class F 11 days ago. Is plainly in excellent shape though and returns to the code with every chance of finishing in the mix

7. HEDEN CRUZ – Won 3 of last 4, most recently a 2850m Feurs Class F earlier in the month. Shoes on again but still has a lot to contribute. Place chance

8. FOSTER DE L’ITON – Pleased on first objective of the season, most recently 3rd, a place behind HETRE CHANGEEN (4), in a 2200m Class E here a fortnight ago. 2nd on only start under these conditions and looks a serious contender

9. FERIA DE LIGNY – 8th to HETRE CHANGEEN (4) in race of reference. Has done nothing of note for some time and, even reverting to a previous formula, can be passed over

10. GAVROCHE BEST – Has struggled for much of the year, latterly pulled-up in a 2850m Laval Class D on Monday. Starts on 2nd row and backs up with no realistic chance

11. HAKIM DE CHENU – Shod to preference for first objective of the season after finishing last but one in a 2650m Alençon Class D earlier in the month, and the extra 25m does him no favours

Summary: One of the more faithful elements under the saddle, HETRE CHANGEEN (4) left a good impression here on his return to the venue 2 weeks ago and looks the one to beat this time. That said, FOSTER DE L’ITON (8) finished just behind him that day and will have a better chance over this longer trip. As good in one code as the other, HEDEN CRUZ (7) is proven over the main track and in current condition is very hard to ignore. Winner of his only start in the discipline, and a multiple winner already this year, HELDIEN ALFA (6) will be no easy touch.

SELECTIONS
HETRE CHANGEEN (4) – FOSTER DE L’ITON (8) – HEDEN CRUZ (7) – HELDIEN ALFA (6)
C7 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE MAURON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000

1. KOMEDIE SOMOLLI – Won over course and distance during the spring but disappointing since, latterly sanctioned in a 2700m Graignes Class B on 2 August, and can be passed over

2. KISS ME DE JEAN – Made up for faulting here a month ago when victorious in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on 27 August. Pleased here during the spring but appears to have her work cut out this time

3. KINGA SUPREME – Has 2 races under her belt since the break, most recently sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class C on 7 September. Has talent to burn but is never far from faulting and other more reliable options available

4. KATE MESLOISE – Going well when sanctioned in 7 September race of reference. Seldom puts a foot wrong though and looks a serious player

5. KISS ME DE NAVARY – 4th, a place behind KRACKMANIA (7), in a 2175m Class C here 12 days ago. Has no particular love for the distance but in current form is easy to like for a shot at first 5

6. KAPUSHA MIP – At the top of her game this summer, most recently 3rd of 9 in a 2850m Feurs Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Is confirmed here but in this company represents a minor place prospect at best

7. KRACKMANIA – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd in 7 September race of reference. Has never delivered over 2700m here but is barefoot for first time over the distance and must be afforded respect

8. KILL JOY LADY – Classy filly that flew up in a 2175m Class C here recently only to be disqualified and placed last for interference. Has talent in spades and will have this wrapped up if Théo Duvaldestin keeps her out of trouble

9. KOTKIE – Won at Cagnes in July before finishing 8th of 9 in a 2175m Gr.2 here mid-August. Sports a fresh configuration, ran 2nd on lone start under these conditions, and can make the frame this time

Summary: Despite an excellent run here earlier in the month, KILL JOY LADY (8) found herself on the wrong side of the stewards that day but she is by some margin the best horse here and Théo Duvaldestin will be keen to set the record straight. Closest rivals to her take the form of a reconfigured KOTKIE (9) who drops back to a more reasonable class for the occasion, and the course-and-distance-loving KATE MESLOISE (4) who will be expected to make amends for her recent sanction.

SELECTIONS
KILL JOY LADY (8) – KOTKIE (9) – KATE MESLOISE (4) – KRACKMANIA (7)
C8 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE QUESTEMBERT – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 60,000

1. IQUEM – Reassuring 3rd over course and distance before faulting in a 2950m Le Mans Class E last week. Pierre-Yves Verva takes over and will not be far from the action if he manages to keep his charge applied

2. JEUNE AMI – Won in either code at Enghien before being beaten by a very good horse in a 2175m monté Class C here late last month. At this level, would be preferred under the saddle but with Alexandre Abrivard reining must be respected

3. DRAGOWSKI – Won 2 of last 3, latterly with ease in a 2700m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard in the hot-seat this time and will be expected to confirm

4. JIGSAW PUZZLE – One-paced 6th of 10 in a 2925m Cagnes Class A on 24 August, and will need to take his game up a notch

5. CHEMAR – Returns to a track he appreciates after coming last of 5 in a 1600m Turin conditioner on 1 September. Will be suitably fit and expected to continue his Vincennes love-affair

6. JIBI DU FRUITIER – Got back in the game when 3rd to DRAGOWSKI (3) in a 2700m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Thrives with Eric Raffin and is very hard to ignore

7. JEWEL DE LA COTE – Out of sorts when 11th of 13 in a 2850m Class B here a month ago. Has little room for manoeuvre in this category and a minor place prospect at best

8. DESTINO D.J. – Has thrived since coming to France, most recently 2nd to DRAGOWSKI (3) in a Class C over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Forced to break wide but can still apply the pressure. Chance

9. MAX OCCAGNES – Sanctioned in 30 August race of reference, on Vincennes debut. Nevertheless showed his form that day and considering he ran 3rd in a Berlin-Mariendorf Gr.2 last month, is not to be underestimated

10. COSMOS DEL RONCO – Has struggled since coming to France, latterly sanctioned in a Class D over course and distance on 31 August, and has no possible chance

11. IDAHO (SWI) – Put in a good effort to run 4th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance late-August. Takes on a better lot this time though and chances limited

12. LET IT BE VP – Showed improvement when 4th to DRAGOWSKI (3) in a 2700m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Shoes back on and a repeat seems unlikely

Summary: Currently enjoying something of a renaissance, winning 2 of his last 3, DRAGOWSKI (3) made short work of a 2700m Class C here late last month and will take some beating. The closest chance lies with the wonderfully-consistent, although widely-drawn, DESTINO D.J. (8) who ran 2nd to him that day. Barefoot on return to his favoured Vincennes, the Italian CHEMAR (5) benefits from a JMB drive for the first time and the draw will do his prospects no disservice. IQUEM (1) pleasantly surprised under these conditions late last month and, if focused, can play a prominent part.

C1 – PRIX HENRI GLEIZES – 3500m (a2m1/4) – TURF – Class 1 Race – Steeple Chase – EUR € 62,000

1. WINSTONPRESIDENT – Won a handicap chase at this track on his last outing over 3500m on June 25th. More needed in a better race

2. PRESTIGE D’OLVA – Won his last two chases, the latter over 3700m in a Class 3 race at Clairefontaine on July 25th. One to keep safe

3. KUARTZ – Won a Class 2 chase at this track over 3500m last time on May 28th. Jumped well and can not be overlooked

4. GARIBALDI – Two unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 3600m in a Class 1 hurdle at Clairefontaine on July 17th. Needs to convince over fences

5. KILT ECOSSAIS – Won narrowly on his chase debut at Dieppe on August 30th in a Class 3 race over 3500m. Grade 3 placed over hurdles at Auteuil in June. Live chance

6. BON GARCON – Unplaced last time in a Grade 1 hurdle, 2nd before that in the Prix Amadou hurdle (Grade 2) at Auteuil on April 27th over 3900m. Can be involved on his chase debut

7. ALTESSEROYALETAVEL – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 3700m in a Class 3 chase on July 25th at Clairefonatine. Might find this too much

Summary: KILT ECOSSAIS (5) won in a workmanlike fashion on his chase debut at Dieppe in late August and this useful hurdler can step forward from that effort and is the marginal choice ahead of BON GARCON (6) who is making his chase debut after some decent form over hurdles. He found a Grade 1 a bit too much last time but was second in the Prix Amadou (Grade 2 ) hurdle in April. KUARTZ (3) won over track and trip in May when last seen and is in the mix. PRESTIGE D’OLVA (2) heads the remainder.
