1. HARPER – Caught the eye when 2nd over 1800m at Compiegne on the 25th of September and is confidently selected to go one more. Win
2. DAPANGO – Has won two from last three and can win again. Most recent victory was over 1800m at Croise-Laroche and another huge run is expected. Strong chance
3. GRAND BALCON – Was a winner four races back but has been dismal thereafter. Hard to assess and far prefer others
4. GARBO – Overall form is fair, has been in Listed fields and can build on recent 8th place at Parislongchamp. Strong place chance
5. SIDEDREAM – Ignore last run when way downfield, won penultimate start. Small chance on very best efforts
Summary: HARPER (1) is a five time winner, put her indifferent penultimate run behind her last time when finishing 2nd at Compiegne and is confidently selected to go one more today. DAPANGO (2) has won two out of his last three starts and will be a serious force to be reckoned with. Big chance. GARBO (4) has been competing in some competitive fields in her last few starts and can go close in this grade. Strong place chance. GRAND BALCON (3) can be expected to serve up way better than he has in his last few. Capable of a big effort.

One victory was at Parislongchamp and the other at Saint-Cloud. He is confidently selected to remain unbeaten after todays race and is a possible banker on the day. SQUARE D’ALBONI (3) makes the French debut. His form in Great Britain was very good having notched up two wins from as little as three starts. Can be expected to go close in local debut. 4. BELIEVER – Placed 2nd over 2000m on the 6th of this month and was victorious before that. Small field and should be right there despite selecting others for the shortlist
5. CASAPUEBLO – Been racing in strong races and finished 3rd over 2000m on the 9th of June at Parislongchamp in Listed class. Big runner despite the layoff
6. DRUMARD – Finished 7th over 2400m at Saint-Cloud in a Listed field on the 6th of September and reeled off a hat trick of wins before that. Big chance
Summary: MAP OF STARS (1) has already won a Listed race and has only competed three times. Clearly he is above average. His last run was brilliant at Parislongchamp over 2000m in a Group 3. The one to beat. CASAPUEBLO (5) has been far from disgraced in some very tough Group races and back in lower company, should go very close to getting it all right. DRUMARD (6) was 7th in a Listed event last time but reeled off three wins in a row before that. Obvious chance and inclusion in all bets. ANY MOON (3) makes his local debut and might just need it but can still, nevertheless, run well.

2. ESPRIT JOYEUX – Hard to fancy on current form and record and would therefore be a shock winner. Pass by
3. CENTRICAL – Comes into the race fresh off a victory at Craon over 2200m and would be no shock if following up. Good chance

16. ATHINEOS – Placed 6th over 2500m at Saint-Cloud on the 10th of this month in a Handicap and can build on that. Do not ignore completely
Summary: ALICANTO (15) won his penultimate race which was at Parislongchamp over 2200m in Handicap class back in 2023. Ignore his last run when probably in need of the comeback race and he can certainly bounce right back to winning ways. ANTE ALIOS (1) brings consistent recent form into the race and has to be taken very seriously and factored into all bets. Big runner. CENTRICAL (3) is an eight time winner, was victorious in the last run and has a chance of following up in a competitive field. SNUGGLES (11) has a first four chance.

She did run 2nd in a Group 2 earlier in the year which was followed up by a win at Listed level. TAZARA (11) and LE CADEAU (1) met last time out and there wasn’t much to separate between the two and that could likely be the case again as they step in Group company.

Summary: MON RICIN (4) could be the answer to this handicap. He was a good third at Saint-Cloud earlier this month and knows how to win. VA S’Y MIX (3) could be the main rival and was a pleasing second three starts ago at La Teste in a Class 3 handicap. ROI DE L’AIR (5) looks like a solid option for the each way backers to latch on to. FLY D’ASPE (9) ran credibly at this track last time when fifth and he makes up the shortlist.

7. PLATEADO – Honest hard-knocker with sound references in turf handicap over this distance. Unplaced (8th) in a 2700m PSF handicap at Chantilly on 15 October but will appreciate reverting to turf, so should fare better
8. LIXI – Capable but inconsistent handicapper, out of sorts lately but dangerous to discount off her current mark. Disappointing 7th in a 2400m Saint-Cloud handicap on 13 September but shouldn’t be hastily written off
9. ACT OF WISDOM – Runner-up in a handicap on this course over 2400m on 13 October. Has run well up to 2500m but shouldn’t be underestimated trying this trip for the first time

ACT OF WISDOM (9) ran well to finish 2nd on this course last time and seems best equipped to challenge the selection for race honours. LIXI (8), not hastily condemned for a disappointing last start, retains the means to fight for a spot on the podium, with the shortlist completed by returning ANTAIOS (1) and hard-knocker PLATEADO (7).

Summary: IMPERATOR D’ELA (1) has been very good all year and does set the standard for the lucky last race. FICIMER (2) has won six times this year so there is no real reason he cannot win again. HOT SUMMER (4) has disqualification issues but did win well last time out and deserves respect for that win. ERMES DE CORDAY (5) showed improvement and is barefoot so can go one better.

C1 – PRIX DES FAISANS – 2750m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 25,000 |
1. KINDLE DE NGANDA – Won at Granville before finishing last of 11 in a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet mid-August. Has had time to get her house in order, is barefoot this time, and should not be underestimated
2. KALANSKA – Sanctioned in both since returning to competition, latterly a 2850m Laval Class E a month ago. Reverts to a previous formula but others still preferred
3. KIONA DU SKY – Gives a good account for the most part, most recently 4th of 10, behind KERAMIDA (6), in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E late-September. Unlikely to shake things up but can still play a small part
4. KEVISE BECO – 9th of 11 in a 3000m Nantes Class E a month back and even from front line has no real chance
5. KEY WEST DE CHENU – Tricky character but came 4th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class E a month ago. Sports a new configuration and, from front row, can give this a decent go
6. KERAMIDA – Ran 3rd at Saint-Malo before confirming in a Class D over course and distance 10 days ago. Has clearly benefitted from wearing pads and from the front line, can play an important role
7. KALINE DE LA COUR – Has enjoyed something of a revival since starting to race barefoot, latterly 2nd of 10 in a 2825m Durtal Class F a fortnight ago. Top driver in charge this time and looks a serious proposition
8. KALAGA DU CADRAN – Easily won a 2725m Graignes Class F on 29 September. Has previously imposed for her driver, has a lot going for her here and, despite the hike in category, can make this her own
9. KANAILLE ROYALE – Facile winner of a 2400m Amiens Class E on 21 September. Races shod this time though and will have other priorities
10. KROKEUSE DE DIAM’S – Complicated but capable filly making first appearance since faulting in a 2200m Vincennes monté Class D last April. Disregard
11. KIVAOA DU PERCHE – Useful filly that ran 9th of 11, on return to competition a fortnight ago, in a 2700m Graignes Class B. Still in conditioning mode
12. KALINKA SOMOLLI – Sanctioned in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E, on return to competition a fortnight ago. Will have progressed, has bags of potential and, if fully-fit, can get straight back in the game
13. KAROLENE D’ETANG – Quality filly making first start since dominating a 2100m Vincennes Class D last February. Shoes on and will need the outing
14. KILIA PETTEVINIERE – Sanctioned in 16 October race of reference and can be confidently written off
15. KAVALE DU CHOQUEL – Seldom gets her nose in front but pleasant 5th of 12, behind KERAMIDA (6), in a Class D under these conditions mid-month and is unlikely to be far off the mark
16. KRISSA DE MORGANE – Last but one, behind KERAMIDA (6), in a Class D over course and distance 10 days ago and looks properly outclassed
Summary: Winner of 2 of her last 3, yet to be beaten in the day’s configuration, and just €20 from incurring the penalty, KALAGA DU CADRAN (8) is unbeaten with Yoann Lebourgeois and looks set to stay that way. KALINE DE LA COUR (7) is also superbly-engaged and, with Mathieu Mottier reining this time, will be no easy touch. KALINKA SOMOLLI (12) has a race under her belt following the break, showed considerable promise at 3, and it will be interesting to see how well she has come on. 25m better off, KERAMIDA (6) has turned a corner recently and will not be sent out at 35/1 on this occasion.

C2 – PRIX DES BERGERONNETTES – 2750m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 |
1. JONCTION HAUFOR – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2875m Meslay Class E late-July. Shoes on and others easier to trust
2. JAMAICA D’OYSE – Returns to racing clockwise after coming 5th of 14 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 12 days ago. Has never excelled at Cabourg though and others preferred
3. JOFESCA BUISSONAY – Undeniably capable but sanctioned in 7 of last 9, most recently a 2900m Challans Class D a fortnight ago, and is not about to spring a surprise
4. JUDY TURGOT – Last of 12 in a 2875m Vincennes claimer mid-month and can be confidently disregarded
5. JULIA DE MARZY – Has ample ability but never far from faulting, most recently sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class E a month ago, and has no possible chance
6. JERSEY ISLAND – 9th of 11, behind JAZZ SESSION (15), in a 2875m Enghien Class E 12 days ago. Is clearly off her porridge, is shod for the occasion, and can be ruled out
7. JERSEY GEMA – 5th of 9 finishers, behind JUST AN ARTIST (11), in a 2150m Vichy Class E late-September. Has hardly put a foot wrong since the spring and has a realistic chance of making first 5 once more
8. JADE DU DAN – Made up for her September sanction when 2nd of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class E 2 weeks ago. Trainer back in the wagon, has solid Cabourg credentials, but still no more than a minor place chance
9. JULIANA DES LUCAS – Failed to confirm Vincennes performance when 10th of 13 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 23 September. Shoes on and no threat
10. JUNON DES ROSES – Last of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class E on 10 September. In the frame in all 4 starts here this term though and is not to be underestimated
11. JUST AN ARTIST – 4th of 9 finishers in a 2150m Vichy Class E late-September. Has been afforded time to recuperate, boasts solid references here, and will not be far from the action
12. JOSY DES LANDES – Sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class E a month ago. Appears to have lost her way somewhat and will first need to reassure
13. JAVA FAST – Unraced since dominating a Class D over course and distance on 2 August. Has been a revelation with his driver and is unlikely to be bested
14. JOCELYNE – Sanctioned, when being conditioned, in a 2800m Vire Class E early last month. Has won 3 of 5 here however and returns to the venue sporting a new formula and with a good hand to play
15. JAZZ SESSION – Ran 2nd of 9, when preparing for this, in a monté Class E over course and distance 10 days ago. Imposed under these conditions in August and looks a major player
16. JOCASTE DAIRPET – Has had time to recalibrate after faulting in a 2800m Vire Class E early last month. Hard to knock when focused, is proven here, and with application can go close
Summary: A veritable steamroller over the summer, JAVA FAST (13) has not been seen out since completing the hat-trick here in early-August but is shod to preference, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and will take all the beating. Winner of her only start here, and currently in form, JOCASTE DAIRPET sports pads this time but (16) enjoys a terrific entry and will be no pushover if she stays in stride. Very much at home here, JAZZ SESSION (15) showed her condition mid-month and has every chance of making the frame. JUST AN ARTIST (11) gave a good account on the first start for her new owners and, given her liking for Cabourg, should be competitive.

C3 – PRIX DE FAUVILLE EN CAUX – 2725m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 33,000 |
1. HASHTAG DUB’S – Produced 2 good efforts before being conditioned for this 3 weeks ago, coming last of 13 in a Class E over course and distance. Shod competitively this time and will be expected to give HEAVEN STAR (6) something to consider
2. GOGO DES MALBERAUX – Unraced since finishing last of 15 in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne early-July. Shoes on and can ruled out
3. HIRONDELLE FEE – 5th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 8 days ago. Has never delivered here but enjoys a good spot behind the car, and her form is not in question
4. HORACE DES CHAMPS – Honest type that ran close 2nd of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class E on 4 September. Entrusted to François Lagadeuc this time and from the 4-spot will be dangerous
5. HAURORE – Has bags of ability and has won here, but out of the picture in last 2, most recently 8th of 10, behind HIRONDELLE FEE (3), in a 2875m Class D at Meslay-du-Maine on 2 October, and must first reassure
6. HEAVEN STAR – Last but one, when prepping for this, in a 2850m Vincennes Class C 2 weeks ago. Shod to preference and has every chance of imposing
7. GROUPIE DU QUENNE – Defied her 79/1 to run 5th of 11 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 3 weeks ago, but a repeat seems most improbable
8. HISTORY MAJYC – 10th of 14, behind HEROINE DES LANDES (9), in a Class D over course and distance on 3 October. Shoes on again and no danger
9. HEROINE DES LANDES – 9th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance on 3 October. Is still in conditioning mode and best to wait
10. FLASH DE VOUEDE – Lacklustre 6th of 13, behind HORACE DES CHAMPS (4), in a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class E on 4 September and seems out of his depth
11. GERONIMO MATICA – Sanctioned in both since the break, latterly a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 11 September. Excels at Cabourg but may need another run
12. FELDSPATH THEPOL – Won at Castillonnès before being sanctioned in a 2700m Segré Class D on 6 October. Starts on back row but Mathieu Mottier will afford him every chance
13. GUESS FOUTEAU – 6th of 12 in a 2700m Segré Class D 3 weeks ago. Never disappoints at Cabourg when applied and even from 2nd line can give this a good go. First 5
14. GRAND TRIO LUDOIS – 4th of 14 in a 2725m Lisieux claimer 2 weeks ago. Starts for new handler, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and despite the tough draw is not to be overlooked
Summary: Remarkably consistent in the day’s configuration, and clearly in excellent shape, HEAVEN STAR (6) breaks in front and can make this his own. Sébastien Ernault will still be keeping a watchful eye on the less-favourably-drawn, but tough, HASHTAG DUB’S (1) who sports a new configuration for the occasion, and the better-positioned HORACE DES CHAMPS (4) who just missed out in the amateur division at Vincennes earlier this month. HIRONDELLE FEE (3) drops marginally in category and looks a decent place chance this time around.

1. KE PASO JYL – Untried element that qualified in 1’16″1 at Caen earlier this month. Front shoes off and, if as capable in competition, is unlikely to disappoint
2. KYRIE – Sanctioned on debut before running 10th of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class D last Sunday, and can expect to remain friendless in the markets
3. KAPTAIN MOIRE – 5th of 8, behind KOBALT GAGOU (11), in a 2950m Le Mans Class F 2 weeks ago, on first start for 16 months. Is barefoot this time but better options available
4. KALAO THIRARDIERE – Produced his best monté performance to date when 4th of 7 finishers in a 2950m Le Mans Class F a fortnight ago. Breaks in front but still has more to find
5. KOSCO DES TITHAIS – 8th of 11 in a 2200m Caen harness Class F late-September. Has shown no more than a modicum of ability under the saddle and can be passed over
6. KOLIBRI BLUE – Has looked ordinary since returning from his break, latterly 6th of 8, behind KOBALT GAGOU (11), in a 2950m Le Mans Class F 2 weeks ago, and is not about to set the world alight
7. KID DU POMMEREUX – Disappointing under harness, most recently 9th of 11 in a 2550m Reims Class F a fortnight ago, and debuts under the saddle with no realistic chance
8. KARL DU CHATELET – Has not been seen out since missing out by little in a Class E over course and distance 12 months ago. Hind shoes off but will need the run
9. KRANCK VET – Debuts barefoot in monté discipline after running 6th of 10 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class G last Monday. On front line but still not easy to recommend
10. KALIMERO VICI – Complicated but useful type that was sanctioned on re-entry in a 2650m Cordemais harness Class F 3 weeks ago. Is proven in the discipline and can get in on the action if he stays in stride
11. KOBALT GAGOU – 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2950m Le Mans Class F 2 weeks ago. Is behind in earnings, starts in front and, barefoot this time, can impose
12. KEEP IT TOGETHER – Blows hot and cold but reassured in a Class E over course and distance earlier this month, coming 3rd of 11. Incurs the penalty this time however and a minor place chance at best
13. KRESUS LOVE – Faces first objective of the autumn after having been sanctioned in a 2800m Chartres Class E conditioner 9 days ago. Barefoot this time and, even from 2nd line, can get a look-in
14. KRONOS JIEL – It has been a question of all-or-nothing in this code, latterly sanctioned early in a 2550m Reims Class F mid-September. Just front pads fitted this time and others easier to trust
15. KENNEN JIEL – Lost his maiden status [at 15th time of asking] in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E on 22 September. Is clearly on right trajectory and returns to Cabourg with a good hand to play
16. KAMIKAZE – Debuts under the saddle after 2 fine harness performances, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 18 September. Serious jockey in the irons and looks a similarly serious proposition
17. KARALY – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Has ample ability in this category, gets a leading jockey this time and, with application, can win this
18. KRACK CLEA – Returns to the ridden code after winning a 2750m Ecommoy harness Class E on 8 September. Unshod behind this time, has form with Laura Planchenault, and must be considered a player
Summary: Very much an open affair this, a tentative nod nevertheless goes to the delicate but useful KARALY (17) who, with Mathieu Mottier onboard, can get around unscathed and open his Cabourg account. KOBALT GAGOU (11) reassured though at Le Mans earlier this month and, barefoot for the occasion, with a 25m advantage, could yet steal his thunder. Significantly more performant with shoes off, KAMIKAZE (16) defied his odds at Caen last time and Alexis Collette has been drafted in for his charge’s monté bow. KENNEN JIEL (15) got off the mark at Ecommoy and, with form maintained, should again finish in the mix.

1. IALTA DE VANDEL – 12th of 14, on first start since the spell, in a 2725m Graignes Class D a fortnight ago. Races barefoot this time, goes well for Théo Bizoux, and is certainly worth retaining
2. IL PLEUT BERGERE – Comfortable winner at Mauquenchy before finishing a courageous 9th of 14 in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 10 October. Gets a useful young apprentice this time and can impose
3. INDIANA DE PLAY – 3rd of 14, a place behind ICONE PLANCHETTE (4), in a 2350m Angers Class E last Sunday. Hard to knock when barefoot and focused, and can again make first 5
4. ICONE PLANCHETTE – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently running 2nd of 14 in a 2350m Angers Class E last Sunday. Well-placed on front line, won here in July, and must be taken seriously
5. I LOVE ROSE FLOWER – Last of 14 behind ICONE PLANCHETTE (4) in a 2350m Angers Class E last Sunday. Is completely off the boil and can be written off
6. ISLANDE MIKA – 12th of 14 behind ICONE PLANCHETTE (4) in a 2350m Angers Class E last Sunday. Barefoot this time but has no particular liking for Cabourg and can be dismissed
7. ISERE – Imposed at Caen before coming 3rd of 13 in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Starts wide on front line but is still in with a shout of opening her Cabourg account
8. ILIADE DE L’ITON – Last but one in a 2450m Caen monté Class E on 18 September. Here for a change of scenery and can be ignored
9. INDIANAPOLIS – Defied her 49/1 to come 2nd of 12 in a 2500m Reims Class E last weekend. Pleased on lone start here [2021], is plainly in form, and can get a look-in if Dylan Thiefaine successfully navigates the start
10. ISKOYA – Useful mare that finished last of 14, on return from a break, in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 14 October. Still in conditioning mode though and can be passed over
11. INES DE FAEL – Generous mare that ran 5th of 13 to ISERE (7) in a 2450m Caen Class F on 9 September. Is back on track since switching yards and despite the draw, looks a serious contender
12. INTUITION JIEL – Unraced since finishing 6th of 7 in a monté Class F over course and distance mid-July and has nothing to offer here
13. IDOLE DE LA TOUQUE – Won 3 on the trot before finishing 8th of 14 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F 3 weeks ago. Handed a tough draw and even though barefoot and confirmed here, still seems to have too much to do
14. ISIS BLEUE – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in the 2950m Saint-Malo Class F in May. Just front pads fitted and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Erratic she can be but IL PLEUT BERGERE (2) boasts excellent provincial form, won her Cabourg debut in June, and returns to the venue with a realistic chance of repeating. She is still going to face a stiff test from ISERE (7) who has been plying her trade in fine fashion recently, and the in-form INES DE FAEL (11) who also won her lone start at the venue. ICONE PLANCHETTE (4) has been handed a good spot behind the car and will be expected to confirm her recent Angers performance.

1. LIVRE D’OR – Sanctioned, when unsupported on debut 10 days ago, in a Class F over course and distance, and others easier to back
2. LOOK DE BELLANDE – Sanctioned in all four starts to date, most most recently a 2450m Caen harness Class G on 7 September, and makes his ridden debut with no realistic chance
3. LOU DU BOUILLON – Qualified nicely mid-September but sanctioned in a Class E over course and distance earlier this month and needs more conditioning
4. LOTUS BLEU – Showed improvement when 5th of 9 in a 2850m Laon Class E a fortnight ago, but still has a lot more to find
5. LAWRENCE DAIRPET – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2500m Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen 3 weeks ago. Pleased on debut here during the summer but still not an obvious choice
6. LANINO – 4th of 11 finishers, a place behind LOTUS DES CHAMPS (10), in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. 4 pads fitted again and, with stride in check, should give another competitive account
7. LE ROUPIO – 3rd in race of reference before faulting early in a Class F over track and trip 10 days ago. Has merit though and can pick up a cheque if he stays trotting
8. LATINO BEJI – Left a good impression under the saddle at Reims before faulting in 5 October race of reference. Gets a professional jockey this time and, with application, could even get that maiden monkey off his back
9. LEGATO – Has raced and placed under these conditions but sanctioned in last 4, most recently a 2250m Enghien Class E 2.5 weeks ago and, even fitted with 4 pads, others still easier to trust
10. LOTUS DES CHAMPS – 3rd of 11 finishers in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. Is not about to get off the mark but can nevertheless trot his way into the frame
11. LITTLEBOY DE PLANY – Sanctioned when full of running in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is arguably better than most here and, with application, can bring home the bacon
12. LEADER TURGOT – Switches code after 3 straight harness sanctions, latterly a 2275m Nantes Class E on 7 September, and debuts in the monté code with limited ambition
13. LOVE CHASER – Makes first start since winning a 2375m Dozulé Class F on 7 August. Competitively-shod, will be fresh, and the engagement of Victor Saussaye will only work to his advantage
Summary: Sent for a rest after getting off the mark at Laon last June, LITTLEBOY DE PLANY (11) showed his form on re-entry here earlier in the month and can win this if he keeps his action together. That being said, LOVE CHASER (13) sports front pads on his first start since losing his maiden tag in early-August, and Victor Saussaye gets the nod. Well-regarded at home, and similarly sanctioned here 3 weeks ago, LATINO BEJI (8) has been entrusted to Adrien Lamy for the occasion and can start to put things right. In the frame in all 3 starts here this term, LOTUS DES CHAMPS (10) must again be considered a decent place prospect.

1. L’ETOILE BLEUE – Looked ordinary when 9th of 13 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 23 September and, even with front pads fitted, simply has too much to find
2. LASTOJAINE – 8th of 13, behind LOVELY TO SEE YOU (12), in a 2450m Caen Class E on 18 September. Front pads fitted this time but would be better off at a lower level
3. LATINA GEDE – Ran 5th on comeback before coming 2nd of 9 in a 2600m Savenay Class F late last month. Takes on a tougher bunch here and others preferred
4. LA BREVINOISE – Put a pair of poor performances behind her when successful in a 2850m Laon Class F 2 weeks ago and, with form maintained, will have her chances
5. LARA VRIE – Pleasantly surprising 2nd of 11 in a 2900m Challans Class E 2 weeks ago, but is biting off more than she can chew this time
6. LORELEI DE REUX – 9th of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 21 September. Would be preferred a category down
7. LADY FLO DE MAX – Made up for Le Mont-Saint-Michel blip when close 2nd of 10 in a Lisieux Class E on 22 September. Should appreciate Cabourg conditions and will be expected to play an active role
8. LAGHERTA LOVE – Hard to knock of late, most recently 4th of 12 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E on 22 September, but in this company will struggle to make her mark
9. LOZA – Honest filly that came 4th of 14 in a 2150m Engine Class E on 28 September. Unlikely to impose but can still trot her way into the money
10. LAMTARA BUISSONAY – 7th on re-entry here before finishing last of 13 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel early-September, and can be disregarded
11. LOUISIANA DU DERBY – Unthreatening 5th of 9 in a 2150m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has no references racing right-handed but still warrants monitoring
12. LOVELY TO SEE YOU – 3rd of 13, at 34/1, in a 2450m Caen Class E on 18 September. Renews acquaintance with Adrien Lamy and could well make the frame once more
13. LOVESTORY DU YUCCA – Serious future prospect making Cabourg debut on a hat-trick. Goes right-handed, on a hard surface, for first time but will still take all the beating
14. LYXIE KNIGHT – Sanctioned on re-entry before running 4th of 6 finishers in a 2250m Enghien monté Class E on 10 September. Trainer in the wagon and the new configuration may well make all the difference. Place chance
Summary: Easy winner of both starts on turf, LOVESTORY DU YUCCA (13) takes on a new challenge here but looks eminently up to the task. Leading the opposition is the nicely-entered, and reconfigured, LYXIE KNIGHT (14) who returns to the harness code after reassuring under the saddle in Paris, and LA BREVINOISE (4) who got off the mark at Laon two weeks ago. LOVELY TO SEE YOU (12) defied expectations at Caen last month and must be taken more seriously this time.

3. LIVIA DES LANDES – Has never shown any aptitude for either code, most recently sanctioned in a 2450m Caen monté Class E on Monday, and can be confidently ignored
4. LIVALIVA DE LINE – Out of the picture in all 4 monté starts to date, latterly 11th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E 2.5 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
5. LONAKA D’OCCAGNES – Changes code after some poor harness efforts, most recently 7th of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class G on 7 September and, even with pads fitted, will have few takers
6. LIVAILLE – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2850m harness Class F at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne late-August, and is expected to be just as ineffective in the monté code
7. LISSIMA PHYT’S – Takes first competitive ridden steps after finishing 8th of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class G on 7 October and can expect to generate little interest
8. LIGHT UP ONE – Showed early promise but disappointing in last 2, most recently 8th of 10 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne mid-August. Adrien Lamy onboard this time but others still preferred
9. LA STORIA DE LOU – Ran 4th under the saddle at Caen before finishing a flattering 5th of 7 in a 2800m Chartres harness Class F 2 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads for first time and is not to be underestimated
10. LILY JHEST – Seldom makes any impression in either code, latterly 9th of 12 in a 2625m Cherbourg harness Class F last Monday, and can be confidently passed over
11. LADY MISS – Switches back to monté discipline after coming 2nd of 7 in a 2825m harness Class G 2 weeks ago, and can wrap this up if Mathieu Mottier keeps her trotting
12. LIBERTA DEL PHEDO – 6th of 11, behind LOLA D’AMOUR (15), in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. Faulted early that day but can play a major role if Guillaume Lenin gets her off on the right foot
13. LA SOL FA – Trounced last of 6 in a 2250m Enghien Class E on 10 September. Has a better record at Cabourg but stays shod and a minor place prospect at best
14. LUBIE DE LARA – Unremarkable 7th of 11, behind LOLA D’AMOUR (15), in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago, and is unlikely to influence the result
15. LOLA D’AMOUR – Came 5th of 11, on monté debut, in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. Is unlikely to win this but has wherewithal to finish in first 3
16. LICORNE DE LA JOIE – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2200m Vincennes Class D 3.5 weeks ago. Has made the frame in all 3 starts here and is not about to break the mould
Summary: Still rather green but decidedly promising, LADY MISS (11) makes just her second start under the saddle but she appears to be coming into herself and, if focused, can lose her maiden tag. She will still come under pressure from the clearly-talented, but complicated, LET ME WIN (2) who races shod for her monté bow, and LICORNE DE LA JOIE (16) who returns to a track she appreciates with a realistic chance of finishing close. LOLA D’AMOUR (15) will have progressed from her fine monté debut here and must be treated with respect.
