French Selections Wednesday 13th

R1 MAUQUENCHY [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DU CONSEIL DEPARTEMENTAL – 2850m (a2m) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 21,000

1. I AM MAJYC – Sanctioned in both this term, latterly a 2750m Cabourg Class D 3 weeks ago, and other more dependable alternatives available

2. IRIS RENARDIER – 2nd at Cholet before finishing 10th of 13 in a 2700m Machecoul harness Class F on 20 October. Pitted against better this time and others easier to support

3. ISSAMBRES FIX – Sanctioned, when unsupported, in a 2825m Chartres harness Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Off the boil this term and can be ruled out

4. INTRIGUE DE MAX – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 7th of 11 in a 2875m Argentan Class F 10 days ago. Form is not in question and, with application, can play an active role

5. INITIALE MACHA – Last but one in a 2650m Laon harness Class F a month ago. Has neither any love for the venue nor any possible chance

6. ISPANO BELLO – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2550m Cherbourg Class F on 19 August. Has demonstrated excellent aptitude for the code this year and, with application, can trot away with the silverware

7. IVINDO DU BOCAGE – 9th of 14, on first start since last November, in a 2675m Class G at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago. If as sharp as he was in 2023, he could well open his Mauquenchy account

8. IQUEM MARVIC – 5th of 12, on comeback, in a 2700m amateurs Class G at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago. Has decent monté references and will not be far from the action if Benjamin Rochard manages to keep him trotting

9. IL EST LA FIX – Debuts in the discipline after running 6th of 11 in a 2825m Chartres harness Class F on 4 November. Front shoes off, takes on some good elements here but, if ability transitions, should not be far off the mark

10. ISBA DU VIVIER – 5th of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D, on re-entry, late last month, after having impressed here before the spell. Won here earlier in the year, trainer back in the bike, and looks a major player

11. IVOLI ZEUS – Not disgraced when 5th of 7 in a 2250m Enghien Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Is in his category and appears to be in the running for a first-5 payout

12. IAGO DE SENOVILLE – 11th of 14 when preparing for this in a 2350m Angers harness Class E on 20 October. Has a lot going for him here and Guillaume Martin will be eager to capitalise

Summary: Very hard to fault when focused, ISPANO BELLO (6) returns barefoot from his summer break and, winner of his only start under these conditions, has every chance of keeping his perfect Mauquenchy record intact. Off the track for almost a year, IVINDO DU BOCAGE (7) has a race under his belt, goes barefoot with Eric Raffin in the bike, and must be considered a leading contender. ISBA DU VIVIER (10) has never failed to deliver in this branch of the business here and, front shoes off, will be no shrinking violet. IAGO DE SENOVILLE (12) benefits from a very good entry, will be fit by now and, barefoot for his first objective of the new season, can play a prominent role.

SELECTIONS
ISPANO BELLO (6) – IVINDO DU BOCAGE (7) – ISBA DU VIVIER (10) – IAGO DE SENOVILLE (12)
C2 – PRIX LA CIVETTE DU VIEUX MARCHE – ROUEN – 2850m (a2m) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000

1. IKEM DU GERS – 4th of 11 in a 2700m Machecoul Class G 10 days ago. New to the venue and would be preferred in the other code

2. IN LOVE WITH PUCH – Won in the amateur division before coming 2nd of 14 in a 2825m Chartres Class F 9 days ago. Takes on better this time but starts in front and can make his presence felt

3. IRWIN STAR – Back in the professional ranks after finishing 9th of 13 in a 2850m Laval amateurs Class G on 1 November. Has previously won over course and distance but, even racing barefoot, may be taking on too much this time

4. ITALIQUE DU CLOS – Faithful for the most part when focused but will need to show marked improvement on her 10th of 14 in a 3275m Saumur Class E on 20 October

5. IMAGE DE RABET – Unraced since finishing last of 11 in a 2825m Chartres Class D late-June, and will pose no danger

6. ISTA FREDANO – Ran 3rd at Vincennes  before coming 10th of 11 in a 2500m Saint-Brieuc amateurs Class G 10 days ago. Just pads fitted this time but is not totally out of the picture

7. IGLOO DE BEAULIEU – Made up for monté blip when 2nd of 9 finishers in a 2825m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Sports a new configuration, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and from front row is not to be underestimated

8. IPSOS LAND – Capable trotter but has not been seen out since finishing last of 9 in a 3450m Agon Class F on 18 August, and will need the run

9. IVO LE COUP – Switches back to the harness game after coming 7th of 11, behind IKEM DU GERS (1), in a 2700m Machecoul Class G 10 days ago. Shod for the occasion and others preferred

10. IMEA DE LA POTEL – 3rd of 13 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche early this month. Starts in front, champion driver at the helm, and will not be going home empty-handed

11. ILISMO – Starts for first time since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2850m Hyeres Class G early-August. Shoes on and will have nothing to offer

12. ISIS DE LA FERME – 6th of 9 finishers, behind IGLOO DE BEAULIEU (7), in a 2825m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Still in conditioning-mode and can be passed over

13. ILIO MANNETOT – 2nd of 13 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has twice imposed under these conditions and can add another success to his tally

14. ILIADE MENCOURT – Was by no means disgraced when sanctioned in a 2825m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche early this month. Form is not in question and with her trainer back in the bike, will be expected to start putting things right

15. IGOLO – 11th of 13 when being prepared for this in a 2500m Reims Class F on 20 October. Has references in both codes here and is not about to let the side down. Chance

16. I FEEL PRETTY – Going strong when suffering interference [subsequently sanctioned] in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2 weeks ago. Entrusted to a leading driver this time and can play an active role

17. IDYLLE DE MAHEY – 8th of 9, on first start since the rest, behind IGLOO DE BEAULIEU (7) in a 2825m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run and is reunited with Benjamin Rochard. First 5

18. ILLICO DE BUSSET – 3rd of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E a month ago. Just front pads fitted, Eric Raffin has switched allegiances, and others easier to back

Summary: Reliability may not be his strong suit but ILIO MANNETOT (13) left little doubt about his form last time out and even from the 2nd line looks the one to beat. IGOLO (15) thrives at Mauquenchy, races barefoot following a much needed-conditioner, and will be no pushover. Hard to knock when fully fit, I FEEL PRETTY (16) was very unlucky in Paris last time and, with Mathieu Mottier reining, will be expected to make amends. Superbly-engaged on the front row, with Eric Raffin in the bike, IMEA DE LA POTEL (10) has been knocking at the door recently and could well be rewarded with victory here.

SELECTIONS
ILIO MANNETOT (13) – IGOLO (15) – I FEEL PRETTY (16) – IMEA DE LA POTEL (10)
C3 – PRIX LE CHEVAL BLANC – BOUCONVILLIERS – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000

1. JOURNAIO DU ROI – 3rd at La Capelle before repeating in a 2800m Chartres Class B on 17 October. Has little liking for Mauquenchy though and others preferred

2. JUPITER MADRIK – Reassuring 4th of 16, a place behind JOURNAIO DU ROI (1) in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 17 October. Breaks in front but will still need to find more

3. JARDIN D’ERABLE – 12th of 16 behind JOURNAIO DU ROI (1) in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 17 October. Is fresh, barefoot, and in with a solid shout of making first 5

4. JUGEMENT D’AVE – 3rd at Laval before coming 2nd of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 17 October. Yoann Lebourgeois reining again and should be in a position to open his 2024 account

5. JUBY DE BAILLY – Last of 15, behind JOKER D’OCCAGNES (7), in a 2700m Vincennes Class C late last month. Has been a write-off all year and will be backed accordingly

6. JAVANAIS DELO – Last of 16, when being conditioned in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 6 October. Shoes on again and will have nothing to contribute

7. JOKER D’OCCAGNES – Disappointing 11th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C late last month, but won in September on his only start with France Nivard and must be taken seriously

8. JEEP DU PONT – Reverts to a previous configuration after running a good 5th of 9 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F on 1 October. Has never delivered here and cannot be considered a priority, but is nevertheless worth keeping an eye on

9. JALIMEDE – Pleased at Le Croise-Laroche before coming 11th of 16 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 6 October. Is better-engaged this time and must be afforded respect

10. JILORD VIVA – 11th of 16, behind JOURNAIO DU ROI (1), on comeback in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 17 October. Boasts solid form at this level is in with a decent shout of imposing

Summary: JUGEMENT D’AVE (4) may not have won since June 2023 but he has made the frame in 5 of his last 6 starts and it is only a question of time before he gets his nose in front again. JILORD VIVA (10) has 25m more to travel but seldom disappoints at this level and, shod to preference, can get the new season off to a victorious start. Confirmed in this class, JOKER D’OCCAGNES (7) will be reined by Franck Nivard here and can more than make up for his Vincennes flop. JALIMEDE (9) is not forced to break from a 3rd line this time and should prove considerably more competitive.

SELECTIONS
JUGEMENT D’AVE (4) – JILORD VIVA (10) – JOKER D’OCCAGNES (7) – JALIMEDE (9)
C4 – PRIX JACQUES BRION – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

1. BITCOIND’ARC – Has not raced since coming 3rd of 7 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C on 22 September. Eric Raffin maintains faith and, in his quest for the driver’s championship, looks to be on a winner

2. FURIOSO FLIGNY – Has 2 runs in him following a 12 months’ break, latterly last but one in a 2850m Vincennes Class D last week, and even though twice a winner here, looks to have too much to do

3. HAWAI RIVER – Last of 15 on re-entry in a 2700m Vincennes Class B late-September. Has other priorities and can be passed over

4. GAGNEUR – Ran 3rd at Parilly before winning a 2800m Pontchâteau Class E on 1 November. Won in this configuration last time here and the draw will only make him a more attractive proposition

5. NICE PRESENT – Should not be hastily-judged for finishing 9th of 11 in a 2750m Angoulême Class E early last month. Is in his category, reunited with his driver of choice, and will be no easy touch

6. FAN DE PHYT’S – Steps up in class after running 4th of 14 in a 2875m Enghien claimer a month ago and, in this category, has no possible chance

7. HAILEY D’OURVILLE – In cracking form over past 3 months, latterly winning a 2850m Maure Class E on 20 October. Has never disappointed at the venue and, despite a wide first-row draw, still looks competitively well-in

8. HORS BORD – 11th of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class C a month ago. Drops back in category but still cannot be considered more than a minor place prospect

9. SANTOS DE CASTELLA – Makes Mauquenchy debut after running 3rd of 9 in a valuable 1640m Bollnäs event on 18 October and, as adaptable as he is, can play a leading role

10. HASHTAG CHAMANT – Defied his 65/1 when victorious in a 2700m Vincennes Class D early-October. Unlikely to repeat but pleased on lone start here and should not be overlooked

11. BANGLA D’ESI – Made up for Vincennes disappointment when 2nd of 11 finishers in a 2700m Machecoul Class E 10 days ago. Yoann Lebourgeois gets the nod here and can figure prominently if she stays focused

12. MISTER DONALD – Went close at Parilly before being sanctioned in a 2700m Machecoul Class E 10 days ago. Alternates the good with the less good but is confirmed here and will not be far from the action if Léo Abrivard successfully navigates the start

13. HAS DE COEUR – Forced to endure a tough trip when 12th of 14 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 25 October. Has never let the side down at Mauquenchy and can again make his presence felt

14. G.K.JUSTUS – 2nd at Nort-sur-Erdre before finishing 6th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 18 October. Has merit but the draw will do his prospects no favours

15. GO GO GIGI – Makes first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 29 September. Pulled a rough draw and latest numbers do nothing to inspire confidence

16. HELIOS DES CHAMPS – Runner-up to HASHTAG CHAMANT (10) before faulting in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E earlier this month. Handed a tough draw but is shod as he was at Vincennes and should not be discounted

Summary: Occasionally unfocused, BITCOIND’ARC (1) has otherwise been at the top of his game this year and drops in class with every chance of making his Mauquenchy debut a successful one. Eric Raffin will, unsurprisingly, be keeping an eye on talented Swedish import, SANTOS DE CASTELLA (9) who starts right behind him, and the better-positioned NICE PRESENT (5) who simply thrives with Romain Derieux. GAGNEUR (4) lived up to his name early this month and, with front pads back on, looks a player from the 4-spot.

SELECTIONS
BITCOIND’ARC (1) – SANTOS DE CASTELLA (9) – NICE PRESENT (5) – GAGNEUR (4)
C5 – PRIX DU BAR-TABAC DE LA PLACE – BERTHECO – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

1. LUCKY ROSE – Honourable 5th of 12 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche on 1 October but, in this company, will have nothing to offer

2. L’ESPOIR DES BAUX – Unraced since finishing last of 9 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class D early-August. Shoes back on and even with Eric Raffin reining, others are still easier to back

3. LOUNA DU LOCHEUR – 3rd of 8 finishers behind LOTTA LOVE (9) in a 2825m Chartres Class B on 17 October. Has good speed, is confirmed here, and has the capacity to give LOOK DE VALAILLES (5) a run for his money

4. LADY PRINCESS – Sanctioned in 17 October race of reference but nevertheless showed her form, and will be dangerous if Bernard Piton keeps her mind on the game

5. LOOK DE VALAILLES – 6th of 8 finishers, on comeback, behind LOTTA LOVE (9) in a 2825m Chartres Class B on 17 October. Excels with his driver, and at Mauquenchy, and can get straight down to business

6. LITTLE KING – Left a good impression last week despite being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class B, but faces an even tougher ask this time around

7. LUDIVER DES VAUX – Returns to racing shod after being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class B last Friday, and has no chance whatsoever

8. LISSANDRA JIEL – Sanctioned in 2 after imposing at Enghien, latterly Chartres race of reference. Shod to preference though, Mathieu Mottier gets the nod, and can start to put things right

9. LOTTA LOVE – Has hardly put a foot wrong since the spring, most recently 2nd of 8 finishers in a  2825m Chartres Class B on 17 October. Unlikely to impose but has the wherewithal to finish close

10. LOGAN JIEL – Drops marginally in category after finishing last of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 last Friday and, in spite of the handicap, looks a decent candidate for a place in the mix

11. LEARN TO FLY – Sanctioned when going well in a 2825m Chartres Class B on 17 October. Has talent to burn and the change of venue may be his salvation. Chance

Summary: Excellent here earlier in the year, LOOK DE VALAILLES (5) is reunited with Gabi Gelormini, for whom he thrives, and after a necessary conditioner, faces his first objective of the year with a realistic chance of imposing. Already confirmed here, the less-experienced LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (3) has nevertheless returned to competition in fine shape and looks the main threat. LADY PRINCESS (4) has won 3 of the 5 races she has finished and, if focused, can play a leading role. In terms of ability, LEARN TO FLY (11) has nothing to prove, so the extra 25m should not be too much of an inconvenience, however his action has frequently proved his Achilles heel.

SELECTIONS
LOOK DE VALAILLES (5) – LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (3) – LADY PRINCESS (4) – LEARN TO FLY (11)
C6 – PRIX L’HORIZON – CANTELEU – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

1. KEITHOS DU RHIN – Surprise 2nd of 13 in a 2800m Chartres Class B on re-entry mid-October. Takes on a better lot this time though and chances limited

2. KRONA VIKING – 6th of 13 behind KEITHOS DU RHIN (1) in a 2800m Chartres Class B conditioner mid-October. Continues to progress and, shod to preference, will be expected to play a leading part

3. KAI LA SHA – Encouraged at Vincennes before finishing last but one to KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE (8) in a 2825m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 November. Barefoot again but others still easier to trust

4. KAPITANO DE LOU – Returns to racing barefoot after coming 3rd of 13 behind KEITHOS DU RHIN (1) in a 2800m Chartres Class B mid-October. Franck Nivard in the wagon again but others preferred this time

5. KISS WOOD – Sanctioned when heavily-backed in a 2450m Caen Class C 3.5 weeks ago. Likes to get to the front early and, from the first row, looks a serious proposition

6. KALITA D’HENINEL – Last of 15 when prepping for this in a 2700m Vincennes Class D late last month. Enjoys a very good entry and, barefoot this time, will legitimately garner support

7. KROONER D’HERIPRE – Promising future prospect that ran 6th of 14, behind KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE (8), on comeback in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 6 October. Still being conditioned and the extra 25m to travel will do him no favours

8. KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE – Made up for Agen sanction when easy winner of a 2825m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 November. Incurs the penalty once more but a repeat seems improbable

9. KOOL DES CHAMPS – Below-par at Parilly before running a fast-finishing 4th of 7 in a 2625m Agen Class B 3 weeks ago. Pleased on lone Mauquenchy start and even from 2nd line can make first 5

10. KALMIA QUICK – Makes first appearance for 2 months after having run 2nd of 10 finishers in a 2825m Chartres Class B. Goes well for Eric Raffin and has the class to win this from the 2nd line

Summary: A classy filly that has yet to make it at a much higher level, KALMIA QUICK (10) has however nothing to prove in this company, comes here fresh with Eric Raffin in the bike, and looks marginally preferable to the better-placed and talented, but complicated, KISS WOOD (5). Similarly starting in front, KRONA VIKING (2) races unshod-behind as she did when imposing at Enghien and looks a realistic place chance once more.

SELECTIONS
KALMIA QUICK (10) – KISS WOOD (5) – KRONA VIKING (2) – KALITA D’HENINEL (6)
C7 – PRIX LE DIPLOMATE – SAINT-ROMAIN-DE-COLB – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 35,000

1. HEVA BLONDE – Ran 4th at Les Sables before faulting in a 2850m Vincennes Class D last week. Has never failed to deliver at Mauquenchy however and, if applied, will be competitive for a place on the podium

2. IDOLA – Won a 2175m Vincennes Class D, on comeback, 3 weeks ago. Is never far from faulting but on good behaviour will take some beating

3. IKURO JIEL – Should not be too rashly-condemned for coming 5th of 10 in a 2875m Meslay Class D early last month. Tends to go well for Benjamin Rochard and can challenge for the win this time

4. GET UP DES PLAINES – Pleasantly surprised at Vincennes before running 10th of 12 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 17 October, and will have few takers

5. ISOCRATE D’ELA – Put an end to his lean streak when victorious in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables on 21 October. Is as honest as they come but too much is being asked of him this time

6. HELIUM DE L’ITON – Returned to winning ways a month ago, clinching a 2875m Enghien Class D. Unlikely to repeat but will not be available at 26/1 on this occasion

7. GENERAL – Last but one in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 17 October, and recent form does nothing to inspire confidence

8. HOTKATISSIME – Failed to confirm Le Mans success when 7th of 8 in a 2450m Caen Class D a month back. Has won in both codes here though, and must not be overlooked

9. IT’S MY DREAM – Tenacious winner of a 2875m Enghien Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Excels with Hanna Huygens and can put his Mauquenchy drought behind him

Summary: When applied, IDOLA (2)is an absolute master-class in monté racing, and although yet to make her mark at Mauquenchy, she returns to the venue on a hat-trick, with front pads fitted, and if focused, can wrap this up. That being said, she will be pitted against the on-form and tough IKURO JIEL (3) who has a lot to contribute on his first start at the track, and IT’S MY DREAM (9) who was an impressive winner across town late last month.

SELECTIONS
IDOLA (2) – IKURO JIEL (3) – IT’S MY DREAM (9) – HEVA BLONDE (1)
C8 – PRIX L’AMANDRA – DARNETAL – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 28,000

1. HARPIE DE JED – Pleased at Enghien before coming an unfortunate 6th of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class E last Friday but, with Benjamin Rochard engaged for first time, will not go down without a fight. Place prospect

2. HELIOS D’EURVAD – Courageous, and surprising, 5th of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class D on 1 November. Has never excelled at Mauquenchy though and racing shod will do him no favours

3. HECTOR DU MINON – Sanctioned in 2 before finishing 7th of 15 in a 2875m Argentan amateurs Class G 10 days ago, and even sporting pads, is unlikely to cause an upset

4. HANACK DE VIVOIN – Put in a good finish to run 5th of 14 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 21 October. Has already won for Franck Nivard and will be justifiably well-supported

5. HOPPELA THEPOL – Disappointing since winning twice over the summer, most recently 9th of 15 behind HELIOS D’EURVAD (2), in a 2850m Laval Class D on 1 November. Must re-establish her credentials

6. HIPPY DE LA COUDRE – Drops in category after running 7th of 16 in a 2775m Class D at Les Sables-d’Olonne 3.5 weeks ago. Has placed in 2 of 3 here and, sports a new configuration, is not to be underestimated

7. HEROS DE CHOISEL – Serious type that finished 13th of 16, on return to competition, in a 3000m Nantes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Competitively-shod, with Eric Raffin in the bike, and looks a genuine candidate for success

8. HISTOIRE THORIS – 15th of 16 in a 3000m Nantes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and, even racing barefoot, is not about to buck the trend

9. HIRO MAGIS – Last but one, when preparing for this, in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago and will once again struggle to make his mark

10. HEROS DHELPA – Left a good impression on first start back, coming 5th of 14 in a 2725m Graignes Class D a month ago. Has had time to come on and even though new to the venue, should be thereabouts at the finish

11. HERDUNO – Dependable trotter that ran last of 16 in a 3000m Nantes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Barefoot this time and is not incapable of playing an active role

12. HIPPARIS – Unable to confirm good Toulouse performance when 10th of 15 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 October, and is unlikely to spring a surprise

13. HURRICANE DREAM – 10th of 14 in a 2625m Paray-le-Monial Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Races shod and will have nothing to contribute

14. HAND FULL – 2nd of 13 in a 3125m Angers Class E on 20 October. Well-entered here and, considering his liking for the venue, can make this his own

Summary: Damien Bonne could not have hoped for a better entry for HAND FULL (14) who returns to a track he likes, at the top of his game. He will still want to be wary of a reconfigured HEROS DE CHOISEL (7) who came close in both of his summer starts, and HARPIE DE JED (1) who was most unlucky last time out. Solid in his last 2, HANACK DE VIVOIN (4) put in a fine effort last time and must be taken more seriously.

SELECTIONS

R2 PAU [R-H]
C1 – PRIX BETHARAM – 2000m (a1m1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Class 2 Race – Flat – EUR € 22,000

1. BAYAMOON – Credible effort when 3rd at Tarbes in a Class 2 race last time on October 12th over 1500m. Can play a lead role if staying this trip

2. EUGENE SMITH – Two good wins recently, the latter of them over 2000m at this track in a handicap on October 19th. Hat -trick can be achieved

3. JOHNNY HAMMER – Fair 4th last time in a Class 2 race over 1500m on October 12th at Tarbes and a win on debut before that in September. Lightly raced and might thrive over this extra distance

4. ELEGANT FRIEND – 4th last time over 1900m at Deauville on October 23rd in a Class 3 race. Has won over this trip and can make the frame

5. ADRETT – Won last time over 1900m at Chantilly on October 15th in a handicap. More required to be involved

6. BETTY NELSON – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2400m in a Class 1 race at Toulouse on September 5th. Can have a say

Summary: EUGENE SMITH (2) seems to be improving and was a good winner last month at this track and trip. He can enjoy the step up in trip and looks like the one to beat. BAYAMOON (1) can be a threat if he stays this trip. He tends to race up with the pace and if managing to settle he looks a danger. BETTY NELSON (6) was not quite up to Listed Class last time but ran well before that in a Class 1 race when he was fourth and should be respected.

SELECTIONS

C2 – PRIX GUY DE WATRIGANT – 2000m (a1m1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 16,000

1. NEMR – Has been in good form of late, decent 3rd last time in a Listed PA at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on October 26th. Can score
