R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX JEAN BOILLEREAU – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 90,000
- GOELAND D’HAUFOR – Quickly sanctioned in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Languedoc here on 9 November. Is better than recent numbers would suggest and has a reasonable chance of getting a look-in
- GALILEO BELLO – Unraced since finishing 7th of 12 in a 2875m Enghien Gr.2 late-July. Is confirmed over track and trip but is going to need the race
- INEXESS BLEU – Has been knocking at the door for some time, most recently 3rd of 8 in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Languedoc here on 9 November. Could not have asked for a better draw and can open his winter account
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Excellent servant that dominated a 2700m Class A here 2.5 weeks ago. Is ideally-positioned behind the car and has a legitimate chance of trotting off with the silverware
- BORDEAUX S. – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 2850m Laval Class A on 1 November. Is not without merit though, enjoys a good place in front, and it is only a question of time before he gets back in the game
- BILO JEPSON – 6th of 8, behind INEXESS BLEU (3), in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Languedoc here on 9 November. Has excellent references under these conditions and the JMB-factor cannot be ignored
- HIDALGO DES NOES – Ran 2nd in a Nantes Gr.3 before coming last but one in a 2850m Gr.2 here last Sunday. Stays in same configuration and others easier to support
- HIP HOP HAUFOR – 7th of 8, behind INEXESS BLEU (3), in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Languedoc here on 9 November. Is significantly better than that and, with his mind on the game, will be competitive for a place in the frame
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – Returns to Vincennes after finishing lacklustre 8th of 12 in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 a fortnight ago. Has nothing to prove in this category and Eric Raffin will be keen to make amends. Attention
- CASH BANK BIGI – 7th of 11 in a Gr.2 over course and distance on 9 November, on just 2nd start back. Has form at a superior level but looks to have too much to do this time
- DEUS ZACK – Honourable 5th of 12 in a Gr.2 over course and distance on 9 November. Has previously won under these conditions and can again finish thereabouts
- HARLEY GEMA – Made up for Nantes misfortune when runner-up to HANNIBAL TUILERIE (4) in a a 2700m Class A here 2.5 weeks ago. 4 times a winner for Benjamin Rochard and one would be foolhardy to ignore her
- KENTUCKY RIVER – Quality individual that won at Solvalla before being sanctioned early in a Gr.2 over course and distance on 9 November. Goes over any trip and even though on 2nd line, can still play a prominent role
- FOUGUE DU DOLLAR – 15th of 16, on return to competition, in a 2875m Argentan Class A a month ago. Remains shod and can be passed over
- COQUAHOLY – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 10 in a 2140m Solvalla Gr.1 mid-August. Handed a tough draw but front shoes off for re-entry and is not one to be underestimated
- GOOD GIRL MARCEAUX – 2nd of 14 in a 2850m monté Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Shoes on and will have other priorities
Summary: As solid as a rock so far this term, INEXESS BLEU (3) was most impressive in an elevated Gr.3 here recently and from the 3-spot will have his chances. Alexandre Abrivard will still be concerned about HANNIBAL TUILERIE (4) who has already won 10 times for cousin Matthieu, and the less-well-drawn, but reconfigured, COQUAHOLY (15) who seldom races here without a realistic chance of finishing close. HIP HOP HAUFOR (8) starts wide on the front line but has buckets of ability and , if on the boil, will be no pushover.

C2 – PRIX DES BEGONIAS – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 33,000 - MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE – Qualified in 1’19”8 at Meslay-du-Maine mid-July. Comes from a yard going well but is unlikely to shake things up here
- MELKIOR DE BAILLY – Sanctioned first time out before finishing last but one in a 2850m Class D over the inner track on 12 November, and is unlikely to generate much interest
- MATRIX SAUTREUIL – 6th of 7 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 24 November and will need to show marked improvement in order to play in this category
- MICHIGAN HAWK – 4th of 8, on career bow, in a 2150m Cordemais Class F on 24 November. Looks a decent trotter in the making and although unlikely to cause an upset, can still challenge for a minor place payout
- MADE IN PRIMO – Quality element that was sanctioned in a 2800m Chartres Class F last week after having been beaten only by an exceptional horse on debut. Is clearly in fine fettle and, with application will be competitive for the spoils
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – Made short work of a 2000m Class F at La Capelle 3.5 weeks ago, first time out. Has had ample time to recover and even though stepping up in category, can still finish in the mix
- MAGIC LOVE – Superior winner of a 2050m Laval Class F, on debut, mid-November. Sassier horses in flying form and has a realistic chance of keeping his unbeaten record intact
- MAJOR VEDAQUAIS – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a 2700m Graignes Class B on 11 November. Showed his potential during the summer and it is just a matter of time before he comes good
- MAKE A DREAM – 6th of 10, behind MERCATOR (10), in a 2100m Class C over the inner course on 19 November. Will have come on for the run and has a reasonable chance of making the frame this time
- MERCATOR – Reassuring 2nd of 10 in a 2100m Class C over the inner course on 19 November. Is plainly on the way up and if focused, could well open his account
Summary: Terrific winner on debut at Laval mid-November, MAGIC LOVE (7) should take well to the main track profile and looks a marginally better bet than the very promising MADE IN PRIMO (5) who fell foul of the stewards at Chartres recently. MERCATOR (10) is still very green but he ran a good 2nd over the short track recently and if applied, can make a big splash.

C3 – PRIX DE QUINCY SOUS SENART – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LASCO DE BAILLY – Last but one, on return to competition late-September, in a 2100m Class E and appears to have nothing to give
- LOULOU DAB – Imposed at Le Mans before faulting at the start of a Class E under these conditions on 12 November. Has bags of ability and will not be far off the mark if focused
- LOUIS D’HAUFOR – Got off the mark at Meslay before faulting in a Class E over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Races with pads for first time and has a legitimate chance of opening his metropolitan account
- LORENZO BERRY – Has not been seen out since winning a 2950m Vichy Class F last July and can be ignored
- LUCKY D’AURCY – Sanctioned on re-entry in a Class E over course and distance on 12 November. Is better than most here and on good behaviour can wrap this up
- LOMBARDO – Unraced since finishing 9th of 12 in a 2175m Class D here early-September. Has evident ability and with Eric Raffin in the bike, will be afforded every chance
- L’AMIRAL DU SAPTEL – Steps up in category after running 2nd of 14 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E a weeks ago but may still be biting off more than he can chew
- LEONARDO DE LOU – Runner-up in last 2, most recently headed in a 2850m Laval Class E on 8 November. Has had time to recuperate and, with pads fitted, can impose
- LEADER MESLOIS – Honest sort debuting at Vincennes after running 4th of 8, on comeback, in a 2700m Graignes Class E on 23 November. Will have progressed for the run and can again make first 5
- LEXCELLENT DU METZ – Won first 2 then 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Class E over the inner track last week. Should take well to the main course and is unlikely to disappoint
- LAIOS DU GOUTIER – Sprang a 144/1 surprise when 3rd of 11 in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago, however a repeat seems improbable
- LULLY DES IRIS – 7th over the short course before repeating in a 2850m Parilly Class A mid-November and will have few takers
- LUMINEUX – Got off the mark late-September before coming 4th of 11 in a 2200m Class E here a month ago. Has had time to freshen up and takes to the main track with a decent chance of finishing thereabouts
- LOOKING BEST – 4th of 7 finishers in a Class E over course and distance on 12 November. Fitted with 4 pads for first time and the engagement of Yoann Lebourgeois will do his chances no disservice
- LORENZO GEDE – Showed considerable early promise but off the boil since the break, latterly 9th of 12 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 10 days ago, and even racing with pads can be passed over
Summary: Put away late-July after winning his first two, LUCKY D’AURCY (5) put on a good show despite being sanctioned on his re-entry last month and, with front pads fitted and JMB in the bike, can more than make amends. Clearly close to his race and reunited with Benjamin Rochard, LEONARDO DE LOU (8) is fitted with pads for the first time and could finally get off the mark. Similarly-configured after having faulted here recently, LOUIS D’HAUFOR (3) is not without a chance of confirming his Meslay success. LOULOU DAB (2) came a cropper early here last month but sports hind pads this time and, with application, can contest the finish.

C4 – PRIX DE MOULINS – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - KIBRILLE MONTAVAL – Last of 11 in a 2850m Class D here last Friday. Faces first goal of the winter sporting a new configuration but still cannot be considered a player
- KAVAL BOURBON – 5th of 11 in a 2700m Class D here on 19 November, on first objective of the winter. Unlikely to cause an upset but can still make first 5
- KAIROS DE BOMO – Oddly out of sorts when 13th of 15 in a 2700m Class C here on 20 October. Has references under these conditions and, considering the entry, must be respected accordingly
- KING DE LARRE – Won over the inner course before being sanctioned early in a 2850m Class D here last Friday. Showed his form all the same and from the 4-spot will be dangerous if Benjamin Rochard keeps him trotting
- KANDINSKY – Below-par in last 2, latterly 8th of 10 finishers in a 2825m Chartres Class E a month ago. Hind shoes off for first time but others still preferred
- KAPLA DEVOL – In the frame in 2 before finishing 12th of 13 in a 2700m Class C here on 30 October. Tends to go well for Matthieu Abrivard though and, from the front row, will be expected to put things right
- KADOR DU MONT – Flew up in a 2850m Class E here on 14 November when first time unshod behind. Seldom disappoints here and a repeat performance should assure him the double
- KAJOU JOSSELYN – Failed to confirm short-course performance when 10th of 14, behind KAZACHOK D’ETANG (16), in a Class D over track and trip mid-November and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- KHEOPS BOURBON – Produced a good run to come 3rd of 14 in a 2700m Class C here mid-October. Not ideally-drawn but has freshness on his side and should not be ruled out
- KANKAN – 2nd over track and trip before being excluded in a 2700m Class D here on 19 November. Races first time barefoot, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and despite the draw can still put on a good show
- KAVANI – Makes first appearance since running 5th of 8, behind KHEOPS BOURBON (9), in a 2850m Class D here late-September. Shoes on and no danger
- KRISTO STAR – 11th of 12, behind KADOR JOSSELYN (14), in a 2700m Class D here on 8 November and, fitted with front pads this time, appears to have nothing to offer
- KAISER DE MORTREE – 6th of 10 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class E on 19 November and, with shoes on this time, can be passed over
- KADOR JOSSELYN – Failed to deliver when last but one in a 2700m Class D here on 19 November. Should not be too hastily-condemned and even though drawn poorly, can set the record straight
- KILL AND KISS – Starts for first time since finishing 6th of 10 in a 2700m monté Gr.3 here just over a year ago and will need the outing
- KAZACHOK D’ETANG – 7th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance mid-November. Yet to get into his stride this term and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Impressive winner over longer here in mid-November, KADOR DU MONT (7) starts in front, races unshod behind as he did that day, and can confirm. KAIROS DE BOMO (3) has had time to recalibrate following his last start here, enjoys an excellent entry, and the draw will only work in his favour. KADOR JOSSELYN (14) on the other hand, did not quite win the lottery but she won barefoot over course and distance earlier in the year and will be no easy touch. KING DE LARRE (4) is prone to a little caprice but his form is not in question and with application will not be far off the mark.

C5 – PRIX DE MURAT – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - HANIKA DU LUPIN – Defied her odds to run 2nd of 12 to INFERNA DE HOUELLE (3) in a 2700m Class D here 10 days ago. Front shoes off again and will have claims on a cheque
- IS MAGIC HAUFOR – 13th of 15 to IDYLLE EXPRESS (10) in a 2100m Class C here late-October. Was not given a hard race that day but, over 2850m, will be dangerous
- INFERNA DE HOUELLE – Easy winner of a 2700m Class D here 10 days ago. Thrives with Mathieu Mottier and will once again have her chances
- BANGLA D’ESI – 6th of 14 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class D 3 weeks ago after having run 2nd at Machecoul. Barefoot this time, is confirmed over course and distance, and warrants respect
- IRIS FROM – Made up for September misfortune here when 2nd of 12 in a 3225m Vitre Class E early-October. Boasts fine Vincennes credentials but, in this category, will struggle to make her mark
- IXORA – 7th of 12 in a Class C over course and distance 10 days ago. Is significantly better than that, adores 2850m over the main course, and reconfigured for the occasion, can redeem herself. First 5
- GALIE DE CELINIERE – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 9 in a 2750m monté Class D at La Capelle early-September. Reconfigured but still not a concern
- IRIS DES CHAMPS – Fine servant making first appearance since running 2nd of 9 in a 2925m Cagnes Class A late-August. Competitively-shod for re-entry but will probably need the run
- IRINA DE BAILLY – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly at the start of a Class C over course and distance 10 days ago, and general form does nothing to inspire confidence
- IDYLLE EXPRESS – Won over 2100m here before running 5th of 11 in a 2700m Class D here on 9 November. Eric Raffin back in the bike and can win her 2nd of the meeting
- IDOLE OF LOVE – 6th of 11, a place behind IDYLLE EXPRESS (10), in a 2700m Class D here on 9 November. Has ground to make up but is not short of ability and can get a look-in
- HAIDA SAUTONNE – Reassuring, but unthreatening, 3rd of 15 in a 2100m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Seldom out of the frame when barefoot these days and looks principal threat to IDYLLE EXPRESS (10)
Summary: Respectable over 2700m here early-November after having won easily for Eric Raffin 10 days prior, IDYLLE EXPRESS (10) is reunited with the champion driver and can expect significant support. She’s unlikely to have it all her own way though given how well HAIDA SAUTONNE (12) has been comporting herself lately. INFERNA DE HOUELLE (3) met little opposition en route to victory here 10 days ago and has the capacity to win a race of this nature. Although unexceptional last time out, IS MAGIC HAUFOR (2) has won 2 of 3, when barefoot over course and distance and should be judged more on that.

C6 – PRIX D’HONFLEUR – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Mounted – EUR € 75,000 - HOCKFELER DU MESLE – Good dual-discipline type that finished close 2nd of 12 in a Class D over course and distance last week. Steps up in category but in present form is easy to recommend for a first-5 spot
- HORSY ROYAL – Sanctioned in a harness Class D over course and distance 12 days ago. Seldom far from faulting but has references here and will have his supporters
- HERE I GO AGAIN – Won at Nantes but was then sanctioned in a 2850m Class B here 10 days ago. Showed his form though and, reconfigured, can play a small role if Paul Ploquin keeps him trotting
- HELLO SPORT – Imposed on monté debut before losing the race in the stewards’ room, then ran 2nd of 11 in a 2850m harness Class C here 2 weeks ago. Is patently at the top of his game and on good behaviour, can impose
- EMENCOURT D’AZIF – Won under harness at Craon before losing his action in a 2450m Caen Class B a fortnight ago. Has references under these conditions but others easier to trust
- HARMONISTA – Would have finished close had she not faulted in a harness Class B over course and distance 12 days ago. Reconfigured for the occasion but others preferred this time
- HALFA – Below-par 8th of 14, behind GRAAL DU TRESOR (10), in 2850m Gr.3 Prix de l’Ile d’Oléron here 3 weeks ago. Will be more at home over 2700m and looks a decent place prospect this time
- HAVE SEVEN – Returns to a code he appreciates after being sanctioned in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 a fortnight ago. Unlikely to open his ridden account but can nevertheless play a prominent part
- GO OR NOT – Imposed at Caen before finishing 9th of 14, behind GRAAL DU TRESOR (10), in 2850m Gr.3 Prix de l’Ile d’Oléron here 3 weeks ago. Is confirmed here and while not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- GRAAL DU TRESOR – 5th of 14, on re-entry, in 2850m Gr.3 Prix de l’Ile d’Oléron here 3 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove in this category and looks principal danger to HELLO SPORT (4)
Summary: Winning trainer of this race in 2022 and 2023, Thierry Duvaldestin sends out the unlucky HELLO SPORT (4) who was simply dynamic on his ridden bow last month, and Benjamin Chauve-Laffay will be intent on putting things right. He will still be keeping a keen eye on the the classy GRAAL DU TRESOR (10) who is unlikely to benefit from such a good entry for some time, and HALFA (7) who will be expected to make up for her recent disappointment.

C7 – PRIX DE BLANGY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 41,000 - JOYEUSE ENTREE – Respectable 5th of 10, behind JOSY EXPRESS (11), in a Class E under these conditions 12 days ago, but is being aimed a bit too high this time
- JAMAIQUE DAIRPET – 11th of 13 in a Class D over track and trip 2.5 weeks ago and has no possible chance
- JUSTICE BRICKELL – Has taken not time getting back in shape, most recently winning a 2625m Class D at La Rochelle in good order on 9 November. Has no Vincennes references but is easy to like for a minor place cheque
- JUST BEAUTIFUL – 7th of 8 in a 2850m Parilly Class A mid-November. Sports a new configuration but in this company will have nothing to offer
- JOCELYNE – Runner-up in last 2, latterly missing out by a hair’s breadth in a 2725m Graignes Class E on 12 November. Ran 2nd on lone association with Eric Raffin and is not incapable of going one better
- JONQUILLETE CREPIN – Ran 3rd at Les Sables before enduring a tough trip, coming 8th of 15 behind JADE HAUFOR (14) in a Class E over course and distance on 9 November. Can be brought back into the fold though and backed with confidence
- JERSEY GEMA – Won 3 from 4 then ran 7th of 9, a place behind JOIE INTENSE (12), in a 2100m Class D here last week. Endured a difficult trip that day and has every chance of making first 5 this time
- JADE VENESI – Ran 8th at Enghien before finishing 12th of 15 in race of reference and can be disregarded
- JASMINE DE GREZ – Sanctioned when spent in a Class D over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Shoes on and poses no danger
- JIVA – Encouraged at Les Sables but failed to confirm when last of 15 behind JADE HAUFOR (14) in a Class E over course and distance on 9 November, and others easier to back
- JOSY EXPRESS – Reassuring 2nd of 10 in a Class E over track and trip on 23 November. Is hard to fault when focused, appreciates Vincennes, and must be taken seriously
- JOIE INTENSE – Showed modest improvement when 6th of 9 in a 2100m Class D here last week but still has a lot more to find
- JINA FOUTEAU – Has merit, and good Vincennes references, but will still need to improve on her 7th place in race of reference
- JADE HAUFOR – By no means disgraced when 6th of 15 in a Class E over course and distance on 9 November. Will be close to full-fitness by now and, given her liking for these conditions, looks a serious player
- JIMBA BERRY – Returned to victorious ways in a 2850m Class E late-September. Has not been seen since but is barefoot and can still get a look-in
- JAFLOSA GIRL – Left quite the impression after being sanctioned in a 2100m Class C here last week. Trainer back in the bike and has a realistic chance of capitalising on the entry. Claim
Summary: Despite being sanctioned after 150m, JAFLOSA GIRL (16) nevertheless showed her form here recently, enjoys a superb entry at the limit of earnings and, with application, can open her winter account. Yves Dreux will still want to be wary of JOCELYNE (5) who has clearly excelled in her new configuration, and JADE HAUFOR (14) who boasts good credentials under these conditions. The latest performance JONQUILLETE CREPIN (6) produced cannot be taken at face value; she is plainly in excellent shape and Matthieu Abrivard will be eager to make amends.

- ELSA KILLER GAR – Starts for first time since finishing last of 5 over 1600m in Naples late-September. Barefoot for comeback but still not an obvious choice
- ELEGANZA AV – Dependable Italian filly that ran 3rd of 7 over a mile in Florence on 29 October, but would be preferred a level down
- EMILY LP – Reassuring 3rd of 11 finishers in a 2100m Class C here on 25 October. Pleased under these conditions during the summer and is not to be overlooked
- ORLANDO VIVA – Serious Swedish filly making French bow after running 3rd of 9 over 2640m at Solvalla on 11 October. Will be fresh and with Eric Raffin reining, must not be underestimated
- KEY OF LOVE – Sanctioned in last 5, most recently a Class D over course and distance, on comeback last Friday, and has no realistic chance
- EMMA JET – Makes Vincennes debut after having been excluded over 2640m at Solvalla a month ago. Seldom lets the side down and Matthieu Abrivard will afford her a competent drive
- KEEP ON ROLLING – Terrific winner over 2100m here on 5 November before coming 5th of 15 in Class D under similar conditions 10 days later. Is plainly in shape and will not be easy prey
- KIM FOREVER – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2700m Class C here last June. Shoes on and no threat
- KEOLA D’HERIPRE – Last but one after faulting behind KEEP ON ROLLING (8) in a 2100m Class D here mid-November. Has evident ability but others still preferred
- KARVINA D’ELA – Comfortable winner of a 2700m Class D here a fortnight ago. Plainly back at her best but takes on better this time and represents no more than a minor place prospect
- KASSYA – Won a pair before finishing 10th of 15, behind KEEP ON ROLLING (8), in a 2100m Class D here mid-November. Should not be too hastily-judged and has the wherewithal to set the record straight
- KOSY D’ERONVILLE – 13th of 15, behind KOURGA DE LOU (15), on return to competition in a 2700m Class D here late-October. Barefoot this time but will still need the outing
- KELLE CLASS – Encouraging 2nd of 13 in a Class D over course and distance last Friday. Is never easy to gauge but, with application, will not be far from the action
- KOURGA DE LOU – Missed out by little in a 2700m Class D here late-October. Left quite the impression that day and, with form maintained, can impose
- KAY LEE DU CAMPUS – Respectable 5th of 15, behind KOURGA DE LOU (15), in a 2700m Class D here late-October. Well-engaged at the limit of earnings and can challenge for the win this time
Summary: Valiant runner-up here late-October, when barefoot for just the second time, KOURGA DE LOU (15) looks thoroughly capable of breaking her Vincennes duck. 5th that day, KAY LEE DU CAMPUS (16) benefits from a fine entry and can give Alexandre Abrivard’s filly a run for her money this time. KASSYA (12) failed to complete the hat-trick when unplaced behind KEEP ON ROLLING (8) mid-November, but can be forgiven that run and should be in a position to turn the tables.

- MORPHEWAN – A model of consistency with proven references/solid form credentials at a higher level – boasts the highest rating of these runners. Will fight THE TOP GATSBY (2) for race honours
- THE TOP GATSBY – Beaten only once in 4 PSF appearances but is undefeated in 3 starts at this venue after back-to-back wins at this level over the same distance, the latest on 13 November. Consistent filly with legitimate winning claims
- MON OURAGAN – Hard-knocking veteran with sound references/form credentials, including a last-start 3rd over this track and trip on 13 November. Keep safe
- PERLE ROUGE – Honest hard-knocker with solid form credentials, including a last-start 6th in a 2000m Listed event at Marseille-Borely on 10 November. Should have a role to play
- CHERISH THE DAY – Unplaced in all 4 starts, the latest (9th) in a similar course-and-distance race on 13 November. Hard to make a case for
- SPLENDINO – Consistent, versatile, lightly raced gelding with sound references/form credentials at this level and room to improve. Finished 4th over course and distance on 13 November when resuming after a 6-month absence
- ZOFFWALTZ – Bounced back to form with a reassuring 2nd in a course-and-distance event at this level on 13 November off her current mark. Confirmation awaited
- TZARINSKA – Debut winner over 1900m on turf at Bordeaux in May but regressed/finished unplaced in her 3 subsequent starts, the latest (8th) in a similar course-and-distance race on 13 November. Watch for now
Summary: THE TOP GATSBY (2) has performed impeccably this year and has won on all 3 visits to this course, including back-to-back races over this course and distance. She beat several re-opposing rivals here last time and is good value to maintain her 100% record at Pau. MORPHEWAN (1), who finished a good 4th in a Listed race last time out, leads the opposition ahead of SPLENDINO (6), whose comeback 4th behind the selection would’ve done him good. PERLE ROUGE (4) appeals most of the remainder.

- ZE WEEKEND – Well-beaten 12th on debut at La Teste-de-Buch over 1600m on 6 August. Absent since – just watch for now
- PIC PEN – Consistent colt with sound references and solid form credentials, including a creditable 5th over 1200m at Toulouse on 17 November. Keep safe
- MIKEY – Soundly beaten in his 2 appearances, finished 13th on both occasions – the latest on this course over 2000m on 13 November. Others preferred

- MARKUS – Confirmed the promise of his debut 5th at Bordeaux by finishing 3rd over 2000m at this venue last month (13 November). Should remain competitive over this shorter distance
- MAYISKI – Almanzor colt trained by Jean-Claude Rouget. Caught the eye when finishing 3rd on debut at Bordeaux over 1900m on 26 October and should have more to offer – winning chance
- KAI LUNG – Eye-catching 3rd on debut over 1900m on heavy ground at Bordeaux on 26 October – acquitted himself well against more-experienced rivals. Needn’t improve much to open his account here
- SICILIAN THREAT – Absent since finishing 6th over 1200m at Dax on 26 July. Has shown enough to be competitive on his return, especially given Romain Dubord’s 2,5kg allowance
- TOUT SCHUSS – Donjuan Triumphant gelding on debut with Antoine Werlé riding for trainer Céline Hérisson de Beauvoir
Summary: KAI LUNG (9) acquitted himself well in defeat on debut in a well-composed field of experienced colts and he needn’t improve a great deal to open his account. However, MAYISKI (8) and MARKUS (7) have shown enough to challenge the selection and could chase him home. Experienced rivals PIC PEN (4), FUSEE DE PORCHE (2) and SICILIAN THREAT (10) have legitimate place hopes but no more than that.

Summary: THORDIS (9) confirmed the promise of her Tarbes debut by finishing 2nd at this venue in mid-October, and beat a subsequent winner on that occasion. A repeat of that performance should suffice here and she will be hard to beat if making any progress. HUMAN EVOLUTION (1) also possesses sufficient means to be competitive in a race of this nature, even on his return from a break. Summary: WILBUR (13) gets a slight pull at the weights with those that beat him last time out and with a clear run in transit, he could reverse the form. ROYAL VATI (14) showed a return to form at his latest outing and he should be right there at the finish. VICTORY CAT (2) is holding form nicely and hasn’t been far off despite not winning and she should produce another solid effort. POLIVATE (12) ran her best race in a while when just finding one too good and with a bit of luck in running, she could get her head in front. VIRIMOON ETOILE (10) finished behind the top two picks last time out but should be right on top of them at the finish. Summary: NONANCOURT (8) started off his career well but has been terribly disappointing at his last two outings. If he can return to form, he could make amends and reward his followers. EVERSTAR (1) is holding steady form and was a winner two starts back which should see him being a big threat once again. DONALYA (4) is yet to taste success this calendar year but hasn’t been too far off them and can challenge. Summary: DOCTOR RON (2) enhanced his form with a gutsy victory last time out and that win could have done his confidence a world of good as he looks to defy those who he had behind him last time out. DIVINE CHRISNAT (4) has been a consistent performer for connections and is threatening for that next win which seems around the corner. NORDESTE (3) finished behind the top pick last time out but should get closer if not turning the form around at the weights.
