R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE LA TREMBLADE – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000

  1. HOVE PONT VAUTIER – Has 2 races under his belt, latterly 11th of 12 in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December. Boasts fine course-and-distance credentials and, with application, will have a good hand to play
  2. FILOU DE LARRE – Produced 3 decent results under these conditions before finishing last of 13 behind HARISON DU PLESSIS (8) in a Class D over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago, and even though barefoot, will struggle to make his mark
  3. GUAPO MARBOULA – Made it 3 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2175m monté Class C here on 7 December. 4 pads fitted this time but others still easier to support
  4. GREZ – Surprisingly-good 4th of 12 behind HASUR DAIRPET (11) in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December. Has never delivered under these conditions though and others preferred
  5. GAMIN DE MAHEY – Imposed over course and distance late-October before running 5th of 13 in a 2700m Class C at Le Croise-Laroche on 25 November. Unlikely to impose but can finish in the mix
  6. FRANKLIN PARK – Last but one, on return to competition, in a 2100m Class C here late last month. Barefoot this time but already looks out of his depth
  7. GALANT DE CAREL – In the frame in 3 of last 4, latterly 3rd of 14 in a 2550m Beaumont Class A on 1 December. Is new to Vincennes but races barefoot and should not be ignored
  8. HARISON DU PLESSIS – Would have finished closer than 6th of 13 in a Class D over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago had he not faulted. Is clearly in cracking form and looks main threat to HASARD D’ERABLE (15)
  9. HEMMA DE BRIKVIL – Never completely at her ease when sanctioned in a Class C over course and distance on 21 November. Is in decent shape though and with Alexandre Abrivard reining will be afforded every chance
  10. HAITIAN FIGHT SONG – Decent 5th of 11 in a Class C over course and distance on 21 November. Has never raced barefoot before and must not be underestimated
  11. HASUR DAIRPET – In sterling form since the spring, latterly close 2nd of 12 despite suffering interference, in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December. Front pads fitted this time but must still be respected
  12. ENTRE AMIS – 5th of 14 behind GALANT DE CAREL (7) in a 2550m Beaumont Class A on 1 December. Is never far from faulting though and others easier to trust
  13. GADGET DU GADE – Unraced since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2875m Enghien ridden Gr.2 last August and poses no danger
  14. GOLIATH DU CAUX – Won an Enghien claimer before being sanctioned in a 2100m Class C here 3 weeks ago and will have nothing to contribute
  15. HASARD D’ERABLE – 8th of 13 behind HARISON DU PLESSIS (8) in a Class D over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Is a force when barefoot and looks the one to beat
  16. FOREVER JIEL – 9th of 12 in a 2175m monté Class C here on 7 December. Has done nothing of note under harness for some time and, padded or not, has no possible chance
Summary: Winner under these conditions when barefoot this time last year, the terrifically-engaged HASARD D’ERABLE (15) looks eminently capable of winning a race of this nature. He will still face considerable opposition from HARISON DU PLESSIS (8) who has won 3 of his last 4, and the complicated but handy HOVE PONT VAUTIER (1) who sports front pads for the first time. HAITIAN FIGHT SONG (10) has been knocking at the door and races barefoot for the occasion.

    C2 – PRIX DES IRIS – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 38,000
  17. MARQUIS D’ENFER – Reunited with Eric Raffin after coming 4th of 8 in a 2700m Graignes Class B on 11 November. Is competitively well-in here and can kickstart his winter campaign. Chance
  18. MISTER FOURCADE – Ran 2nd at Lyon-La Soie before coming 4th of 10, at 75/1, in a Class C over course and distance a month ago. Enjoys a good spot on front line and the engagement of Mathieu Mottier will do his place prospects no harm
  19. MEMPHIS ELLIS – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd of 8 in a 2850m Class D here on 12 November. Is plainly close to his race and, from the 4-spot, will be expected to mix it up
  20. MAJOR VEDAQUAIS – Sanctioned in 3 before coming 5th of 9 behind MAGIC LOVE (7) in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Has evident ability but will first need to re-establish his credentials
  21. MANHATTAN ROUSSAC – 5th of 6 in a 2850m Class C here last week. Handed a good draw but appears to be out of his league
  22. MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE – Debuted 6th of 9 behind MAGIC LOVE in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run but still has more to find
  23. MAGIC LOVE – Won first time out then ran 3rd of 9 in a 2175m Class D here a fortnight ago. Has buckets of ability, hails from a yard on fire, and can wrap this up
  24. MARQUETY DE BAILLY – Pleased over main track 3 weeks ago before losing his action in a 2850m Class C here last week. Matthieu Abrivard would have preferred a better draw and is unlikely to spring any surprises
  25. MALANDRINO – Sanctioned early in a 2850m Class D here on 12 November, his first start since August. Will have progressed for the run and in spite of a tough draw, still looks capable of trotting his way into the money
  26. MAGICAL – Missed the start and was sanctioned on debut in a 2225m Vire Class F on 1 December. Starts on 2nd line but is beautifully-bred colt and deserves the chance to set the record straight
Summary: Superior winner on debut before giving a good account over the main-track, MAGIC LOVE (7) should find these conditions to his liking and even though drawn wide, can nevertheless open his metropolitan account. That being said, MARQUIS D’ENFER (1) has proven references, in good company, here and despite starting on the inside looks eminently capable of winning a race of this nature. MEMPHIS ELLIS (3) has bags of potential and is ideally-positioned to prove the point.

    C3 – PRIX D’ISSOUDUN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 40,000
  27. LOBELIE DE GODREL – Honourable but unthreatening 4th of 6 finishers to LEA DE FROULAY (11) in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Is confirmed under these conditions but represents a minor place chance at best
  28. LOLITA DE MIELOUI – In the frame in 2 before being sanctioned, on re-entry, in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago and seems to need the run
  29. LHASSA QUICK – Good servant that ran 3rd of 6 finishers to LEA DE FROULAY (11) in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Unlikely to get her nose in front but has wherewithal to make first 5
  30. LILOU TREMBLADAISE – Imposed at Enghien early-November before finishing 6th of 7 in a Class C over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Should not be hastily-condemned and, padded for the first time, can make amends
  31. LAURENE DE BAILLY – Last of 12 in a 2100m Class D here 10 days ago. Never closer than 4th in 7 ridden starts and is not about to influence the result
  32. LUPINE DIESCHOOT – Serious filly that that opened her monte account with a facile Class E course-and-distance victory on 25 November. In better company this time but still looks competitively well-in
  33. LOLLIPOP CHANLECY – Disappointing last of 7 in a Class C over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Shoes back on but others still easier to back
  34. LEMPICKA SEPT – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 3000m Nantes Class B on 6 December. Boasts a 75 per cent win-rate under the saddle and, with hind pads fitted for the occasion, will not be far off the mark
  35. LIO RENKA – Left a good impression on comeback 2 months ago, running 4th of 8 in a 2700m Class B here. Is sure to have progressed and with Benjamin Rochard back aboard will be no pushover
  36. LILIEME FOR CLARA – Last of 7 behind LOLLIPOP CHANLECY (7) in a 2175m Class D here a month ago. Imposed under these conditions earlier in the year but looks to have her work cut out
  37. LEA DE FROULAY – Pipped LACINIA (12) to win a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago, on first association with Alexandre Abrivard. Is plainly on the way up and can again give Charles Dreux’s filly a run for her money
  38. LACINIA – Missed out on the hat-trick when just headed by LEA DE FROULAY (11) in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Thrives with Eric Raffin and can turn the tables
Summary: The reinvigorated and freshly-padded, LACINIA (12), and LEA DE FROULAY (11), who has been transformed since starting to raced with pads, put on an excellent show here earlier in the month and while both are clearly in with a shout, preference just goes to Eric Raffin’s filly. Sporting 4 pads for the first time, LIO RENKA (9) has been afforded ample time to come on for her good re-entry run. LUPINE DIESCHOOT (6) steps up in category following a victorious ridden debut but still looks thoroughly up to the task.
    SELECTIONS
    LACINIA (12) – LEA DE FROULAY (11) – LIO RENKA (9) – LUPINE DIESCHOOT (6)
    C4 – PRIX DE FLORAC – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000
  39. LOUSTIC DELAURIERE – Sent for a break after winning a 2750m Craon Class B late-September and will need the run
  40. L’ECRIN D’OR – Unable to confirm Beaumont success when last of 10 in a 2950m Toulouse Class A on 22 November. Sports front pads on first start for new trainer and must be taken seriously
  41. LUCKY JOSSELYN – Close 2nd of 6 to LE DOLLAR MACKER (11) in a 2625m Class C at La Rochelle on 9 November. Is being aimed higher this time and is unlikely to create an upset
  42. LEBOSS D’HAVAROCHE – Quickly sanctioned in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December. Has evident ability but others easier to trust
  43. LE TITIEN – Made it 2 on the trot when dominating a 2400m Beaumont Clas D on 1 December. Is new to the venue but in current shape is very easy to like for a first-5 payout
  44. LOVELY TRIP – Encouraging but unthreatening 5th of 11 behind LINDSTEDT (15) in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December, and will need to find more
  45. LASKO DES BROUSSES – 3rd of 11, a place behind LOVER STILL (12), in a Class D over track and trip mid-November. Raffin replaced by another top professional and must be respected accordingly
  46. LEXINGTON DANICA – Disappointing since the break, most recently sanctioned in 14 November race of reference, and can be confidently passed over
  47. LISTER VEDAQUAIS – Ran 2nd over course and distance prior to repeating in a 2850m Class D over the inner track on 25 November. Is plainly on the way up and has a reasonable chance of opening his winter account
  48. LOIC BARON – Placed in 2 before coming 5th of 11 behind LOVER STILL (12) in a Class D over track and trip mid-November. Has ground to make up but sports front pads this time and will have his supporters
  49. LE DOLLAR MACKER – Picked up where he left off, securing a 2625m Class C at La Rochelle early last month. Is new to Vincennes but can win this if he takes to the main-track profile
  50. LOVER STILL – Beaten only by a very good colt in a Class D over course and distance mid-November. Has previously won here in same configuration and has a realistic chance of repeating
  51. LORD SUN DRALIAM – Useful colt that would have run 2nd in a 2175m Class B here early last month had he not faulted. Matthieu Abrivard takes over in the bike and should not be entirely written off
  52. LANNISTER D’AVRIL – Capable colt making first start since running 4th of 7 in a 2550m Beaumont Class B last May. Will be race-rusty and others preferred
  53. LINDSTEDT – Has been knocking at the door recently, latterly 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Class D here on 7 December. Ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and can play a small role
Summary: Sent for a rest after scoring at Parilly, LE DOLLAR MACKER (11) got straight back down to business on re-entry and, with the champion driver in the bike, can repeat. LOVER STILL (12) has taken his game to a new level over recent months and returns to racing with 4 pads fitted. Philippe Allaire’s progressive LISTER VEDAQUAIS (9) is proven over track and trip and will be no easy touch, and neither should LASKO DES BROUSSES (7) who has been entrusted to JMB for the occasion.

    C5 – PRIX PIERRE GIFFARD – 2850m (a2m) – Class B Race – Mounted – EUR € 75,000
  54. HANNAH – 2nd of 12 in a 2175m Class C here on 7 December. Eric Raffin in the bike once more and is in with a respectable chance of finally opening her 2024 account
  55. HARRY CARISAIE – Back under the saddle after having finished 9th of 12 in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 a month ago, and others preferred
  56. GIRL DE BASSIERE – Takes first competitive monté steps after running 6th of 12 in a 2700m harness Class B here 3.5 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard gets the nod and will be one to watch
  57. GO OR NOT – Quality trotter that has struggled somewhat lately, most recently sanctioned in a 2700m Class B under these conditions on 5 December. Mathieu Mottier in the saddle this time and something of a turnaround anticipated
  58. HAVE SEVEN – 2nd under the saddle before finishing 4th of 9 in a 2850m harness Class B here 10 days ago. Entrusted to Estelle Croisic again and is not incapable of springing a surprise
  59. GUINESS D’HERFRAIE – Twice 4th in Gr.2s over 2850m here before finishing 9th of 12 in a 2700m harness Class B conditioner 3.5 weeks ago. Not a priority but should still give an honourable account
  60. HALFA – Quality mare that thoroughly dominated a 2700m Class B here on 5 December. Has solid references under these conditions and can make this her own
  61. GALA D’URFIST – 3rd to HALFA (7) during the autumn, lastly 3rd again in a Class B over course and distance on 25 November, and will be expected to close the gap on Alan Gendrot’s mare
  62. GIBUS – Back under the saddle after running 4th of 8 under harness over 2100m at Wolvega on 12 October. Unseen since and with front pads fitted is unlikely to shake things up
  63. FIASCHETTO – Has struggled to find form this term, latterly 7th of 8 in a Gr.2 over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Reconfigured but still a rank outsider
  64. GOOD GIRL MARCEAUX –
Summary: HALFA (7) was simply dynamic over 2700m here earlier in the month and looks a better choice than GALA D’URFIST (8) even though Franck Leblanc’s mare ran 3rd under these conditions late last month. 3rd under harness before coming 2nd over 2175m here recently, HANNAH (1) once again looks competitive. HAVE SEVEN (5) held his own here last time and can finish close if Estelle Croisic keeps him focused.
    SELECTIONS

    C6 – PRIX DE BEAUPREAU – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  65. KERRA UP STAR – 6th of 10 behind KAPELLA DAIRPET (6) in a 2850m Class E here a month ago. Shoes off for the occasion and looks good enough to make first 3 this time
  66. KAYA DU SAPTEL – Back in business lately, most recently 2nd of 13 in a Class E over track and trip 3 weeks ago, and in similar form can again figure prominently
  67. KHALEESI LA VIE – Unraced since finishing 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Class D here last August. Shod for comeback and not a concern this time
  68. KALINE D’ERABLE – Failed to confirm Laval success when 7th of 12 behind KARLITA MADRIK (14) in a 2100m Class E here on 23 November. Has decent references under these conditions but others still easier to back
  69. KYNTE FLUSH – Reassuring 4th of 13 in a Class E under these conditions on 2 December and will not be far off the mark if Alexandre Abrivard keeps her focused
  70. KAPELLA DAIRPET – 4th of 10 in a 2850m Class E here a month ago. Is consistently in the thick of things when focused and looks a more serious player this time around
  71. KISS ME BEJI – Got stuck behind a tired horse when 11th of 13 behind KYNTE FLUSH (5) in a Class E over course and distance on 2 December. Eric Raffin keeps faith and will be keen to set the record straight. Claim
  72. KERIDA DE VIVOIN – 6th of 13, at 69/1, behind KYNTE FLUSH (5) in a Class E over course and distance on 2 December. Reverts to a previous formula but a repeat seems improbable
  73. KIMMERIDGIENNE – Encouraging 3rd of 10 in a 3000m Nantes Class E a fortnight ago. Yoann Lebourgeois reining but may have too much to do this time
  74. KOOKEY MELODY – Quality element making first appearance since winning a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class E late-July. Shoes on and best to hold off
  75. KALEDA DE LA COUR – Made up for Laval clinker when victorious in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 3 weeks ago. Not a priority but will nonetheless acquit herself honourably
  76. KOMEDIE SOMOLLI – Has struggled to find form lately, most recently sanctioned in a 2100m Class E here on 23 December, and is not about to shake things up
  77. KOH LANTA – Made up for early-December blip when 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Class E here last week. Thrives with Benjamin Rochard and must be retained
  78. KARLITA MADRIK – Tricky but useful filly that ran 3rd of 12 in a 2100m Class E here on 23 November. Mathieu Mottier reining this time and is unlikely to be far from the action
  79. KRISSA DE MORGANE – Pleasant 5th of 11 in a Class D over course and distance early last month but, in this company, will struggle to confirm
  80. KELOWA STARDUST – Denied a run in a Class D over course and distance on 22 November, when clearly full of running. Enjoys a good entry and with more luck in running could well return to winning ways
Summary: Runner-up at Caen before encountering traffic problems here next time, KISS ME BEJI (7) nevertheless clearly showed her form and can win this if Eric Raffin keeps her out of trouble. The nicely-entered KELOWA STARDUST (16) was similarly very unlucky last time and will also have her chances if still on the boil. KERRA UP STAR (1) will have come on for her encouraging comeback run and, barefoot this time, is unlikely to disappoint. The dependable KAPELLA DAIRPET (6) sports a new configuration and can make the frame this time.

  81. KRICK DU GUESCLIN – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly 30 November race of reference. Just hind shoes off this time but still cannot be considered a player
  82. KAZAN DE VANDEL – Showed improvement when 5th of 11 finishers behind KOWEIT DE CHENU (9) in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better lot this time and others preferred
  83. KRACK DESBOIS – Makes harness debut after running 8th of 9 in a monté Class E over course and distance a month ago. Here for a change of scenery and poses no danger
  84. KENDRICK – Ran 4th of 10 to KIFF L’OSEILLE (5) on 25 November before winning a 3000m Nantes Class E a fortnight ago and returns to Vincennes with a lot to offer
  85. KIFF L’OSEILLE – Easy winner of a Class E over course and distance on 25 November. Goes barefoot again and can expect the lion’s share of support
  86. KAP ORNE – Makes first start since being sanctioned in a monté Class D over track and trip last August. Front pads fitted and will need the outing
  87. KILLER DE BEAULIEU – Pleased over 2850m prior to finishing 7th in race of reference. Front pads fitted and will need to show marked improvement
  88. KOVES DU PONT – Won 2 in a row before finishing last but one behind KOWEIT DE CHENU (9) in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago [effectively pulled-up]. Hind shoes off this time though and will be worth a punt
  89. KOWEIT DE CHENU – Beat a number of these when 2nd of 11 finishers in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Beaten only by a very good horse that day and will be expected to bring the fight to KIFF L’OSEILLE (5)
  90. KOUROUX – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 9th of 11 in a 2850m Class D here late-November. Entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois and should be able to finish in the mix this time
  91. KEOPS BEGONIA – 2nd of 12 in a 2950m Toulouse Class E a month ago. Is plainly in excellent condition and even though unconfirmed racing clockwise, is still worth retaining
  92. KONAN JERSEY – 7th of 12 when being conditioned in a Class D over track and trip on 8 November. Hind pads fitted for first time and, if fully-fit, can spice things up
  93. KAVANI – 9th of 14, on return to competition, in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight ago. Races first-time barefoot but still not an obvious choice
  94. KOOL LUDOIS – Faithful for the most part and latterly 4th of 11 finishers behind KOWEIT DE CHENU (9) in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Will not be available at 100/1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
  95. KEN DU POMMEREUX – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2850m Class D here on 22 October and will not be springing any surprises
  96. KROSS FINGERS – Made up for a pair of sanctions when victorious in a 2200m Class E here on 12 November. Has had ample time to get back in shape and looks competitive for a place on the podium
Summary: A classy element, KIFF L’OSEILLE (5) made short work of his first winter objective and, barefoot again, can double up. 4th to him that day before winning at Nantes, KENDRICK (4) sports a new configuration and looks a serious proposition, but he may first have to see off the in-form KOWEIT DE CHENU (9) who has been freshly-reconfigured. Well-entered, and returning to the track after winning over the inner course last month, KROSS FINGERS (16) will have a lot to contribute if he stays in stride.

  97. IDREAMIS – Secured the hat-trick when dominating a 2725m Graignes Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Pitted against better this time but still looks a serious player
  98. IBANQUE LEBEL – Pleasantly surprised at La Capelle before running an unlucky 7th of 10 behind IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE (8) in a 2100m Class D here on 2 December. Is plainly in fine fettle and will be expected to contest the finish this time
  99. IRIS FARCEUSE – Has 2 runs in her since the summer break, latterly last but one behind IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE (8) in a 2100m Class D here on 2 December. Has placed just twice in 5 main-track starts and can be ruled out
  100. IDAHI DE HOUELLE – Out of sorts here on 25 November when last of 12 behind INKY PERRINE (10) in a Class D over course and distance. Benjamin Rochard is back in the bike though and will be keen to put things right
  101. IMAGE D’ATALANTE – Ran 4th at La Capelle prior to finishing 6th of 10 behind IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE (8) in a 2100m Class D here on 2 December. Padded all-around this time but still looks an outsider
  102. ISSIA DE CHARLY – Has not raced since finishing 12th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance on 30 October. Shoes on and best to wait
  103. IMIKO JIEL – Back under harness after having been quickly sanctioned in a 2850m monté Class D here last week, and recent numbers do nothing to inspire confidence
  104. IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE – 3rd of 9 despite traffic problems in a 2100m Class here early this month. Has not got her nose in front of since January but is still good enough to pick up some prizemoney
  105. ICONE D’ERABLE – 8th of 9 when being prepared for this in a 2850m Class E here 10 days ago. Won last time in the day’s configuration and given her liking for the main track, is not about to disappoint
  106. INKY PERRINE – Surprise 4th of 12 in a Class D over track and trip on 25 November. Never easy to gauge but a similar effort would see her finish in the mix
  107. IDOLE DE RETZ – Left a good impression under the saddle before coming 4th of 10, a place behind IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE (8), in a 2100m Class D here on 2 December. Has nothing to prove at this level and has already won 3 times for her driver
  108. IDOLE D’OURVILLE – Drops in category after running 6th of 12 behind INKY PERRINE (10) in a Class D over course and distance on 25 November, but still seems to have too much to do
  109. ILLUSIVE GLORY – Has 2 runs under her belt, latterly last of 9 behind ICONE D’ERABLE (9) in a 2850m Class E here 10 days ago. Hard to knock when barefoot and the engagement of JMB can make all the difference
Summary: A serious mare in both disciplines, ILLUSIVE GLORY (13) will be fully-fit by now and, twice a winner under these conditions, she races barefoot for her first goal of the winter and with Jean-Michel Bazire in the bike, looks a marginally better bet than the in-form IBANQUE LEBEL (2) who was denied a run here early this month. 4th on that occasion, IDOLE DE RETZ (11) will be reined by Eric Raffin this time and her chances are not to be sniffed at. IDREAMIS (1) has not been seen here since February but returns on a 4-timer and although unlikely to pull it off, can still finish thereabouts.
