C1 – PRIX DE BARCELONNETTE – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

  1. LOUVIERS – Disqualified in four of six starts, including at Angers on 20 October. Has won twice and could strike again if wise
  2. LOULOU DAB – Disqualified in five of his seven starts so far including last time out at this course on 5 December. Capable of being a threat when smart
  3. LUCKY DE LOU – Has lost his way of late and was disqualified last time out at Le Croisé-Laroche on 16 December. Yet to win and others are preferred
  4. LASER SEDUISANT – Has disqualification issues and was disqualified last time out at this course on 13 December. Capable of earning some minor money when smart
  5. LISCADO DE HOUELLE – Showed some promise earlier this year and was runner-up last time out in Class G at Fougères over 3200m on 8 May. Likely to need this run returning from a break

    Summary: It’s looking an open first event. LISCADO DE HOUELLE (5)is not easy to trust but is capable of winning a race like this if wise this time. LARGINO BRAVOURE (9) is improving and can fight out the finish. LOUVIERS (1) has disqualification issues but has won races when wise and is clearly not out of it. LEADER D’EB (10) did not show his best at Cabourg but is another to consider.

    Summary: Another competitive looking race. IGOR DU PARC (10) needed the last run and is barefoot and capable of striking a win. IMAIL DE CARSI (3) has two recent disqualifications but is a lively threat when smart. IQUITA VILI (6) was in good form before faulting at this course last time out. IXOR DE L’ITON (9) is unshod and likely to be very competitive again.

    Summary: MANASLU (12) is well-bred and has shown promise with his two victories. He should make a bold bid at scoring again. MAITRE JACQUES (7) is improving and hat-trick-seeking so likely to be challenging for top honours again. MAKE A DREAM (8) won at this course last time out but is trying further. MERCATOR (5) has been very competitive of late and is not out of it.

    Summary: IQUITO PLANCHETTE (9) has won 9 times since July and looked as good as ever when winning at this track earlier this month. The one to beat. ESPACE WINNER (11) is talented but has also been disqualified twice in a row so is not easy to trust. GASPAR DE BRION (12) has struggled of late but is quite capable of an upset when in the mood. HEMILIO PIERJI (6) is in good form and also has a winning chance.

LAGUNA SECA (12) is unreliable but can get involved with the finish.

A hard horse to beat. GASOLIN (6) completed a hat-trick last time out and deserves respect but is returning from a break. ISOFOU DU CHENE (10) is barefoot and can contest the finish. INDY DE JYR (11) is in good form and can make the frame.
