  3. LA GUARDIA – Well beaten 8th in a class D at this track over 2700m on 24 December. Unreliable and others are preferred

    Summary: LET ME WIN (1) started her career off with three disqualifications but has been very good since then winning three times. She makes her debut in Paris and could score again. LITTLETON LANDING (2) needed the last run and is barefoot and ready to do a lot better this time. L’ORANGE (7) has been holding form and can be competitive. LICORNE QUICK (6) returns from a break but is unshod and could improve.

  24. KARMA DE BEAUFOUR – Finished 7th in a class E at Cabourg over 2725m on 19 December. Others are preferred in this line-up
  25. KEEP TRUST – A runner-up in the last three, the latest in a class E at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 2650m on 17 December. Remains barefoot. Holding form and is not out of it
  26. KAID FORTUNA – Disqualified in a class F at Le Mans over 2950m on 16 December. Poor efforts of late and must be wise
    Summary: KING LOOK (9) is barefoot this time and ready for a peak performance run. An obvious choice. KSAR DU CORTA (8) was a good winner at Argentan last month but is not easy to rely on entirely. KAYAK (5) showed improvement at this track and can get into the thick of things again. KAPITEN DU MELEUC (7) is proven at this level and is another to consider.

  35. MONZON NORMAND – Finished 6th in a Group 2 at this track over 2700m on 14 December. Could prefer this shorter trip and can make the frame
  36. MACK DE BLARY – A winner in a Group 2 at this track over 2700m on 14 December. Looking for four on the trot and should make a bold bid for victory again
    Summary: MACK DE BLARY (10) completed a hat-trick of wins by taking out a GR.2. at this track. He should win again. MAESTRO RIVER (8) suffered a first defeat last time out but will challenge for top honours once again. MAT MANATHIS (5) was not disgraced last time out and should be involved with the finish. MONZON NORMAND (9) could prefer this slightly shorter race and can make the frame.

  49. FELICITA D’ECOUVES – Only modest form of late and was 8th in Class D at this track over 2700m on 20 December. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  50. GALION – Holding form and was runner-up in Class D at Enghien over 2875m on 17 October. Can earn some more money this distance
    Summary: HOCHE (2) was in contention when faulting at this track last month. He can make amends this time around. HARDI CROWN (5) has been right there in the thick of things of late and can get involved with the finish once again. FURIOSO FLIGNY (12) is in good shape but is not barefoot this time. HELLO PANAME (7) on the other hand is unshod and can contest the finish.

    Summary: JOUMBA DE GUEZ (7) just missed out of GR.1 success last month. She can go one better this time. JEAN BALTHAZAR (10) is consistent and was not beaten far last time out in the GR.1 and can contest the finish. KAPAULA DE L’EPINE (6) ran a cracker last time and is another to consider.

JAMAICA DE LOU (4) won over a similar distance at this track last time out but is not very reliable. JALMAROSA (13) is capable of winning a race like this but does need to find her best form. JUNE D’ERABLE (6) is better than her last run would suggest but is one of many more in this race that can win.

  85. INDICE D’ARGENT – Did not show his best when 13th in Class E at Meslay-du-Maine over 2875m on 19 December. Needed that run and is likely to need this run as well
    Summary: IT’S PAT (9) returns from a bit of a break but was knocking hard at the door and is capable of going one better. I LOVE YOU TEK (1) is talented but very hard to trust. He would not be a surprise winner. ILLICO DE BUSSET (4) only had one ahead of him at the line last time out and remains barefoot and one to consider. IRINO DE GUERON (3) improved last year and has a winning chance as well.

    Summary: JILORD VIVA (12) is coming off GR.3. success over this course and distance in December. He should make a valiant attempt at following up. JINGLE DU PONT (11) bounced back into form with a good run over the shorter distance at this track and will be a lively danger. JUST A BOY D’ALESA (10) is consistent and clearly not out of it. JUST DE L’OISON (8) knows how to win and will challenge for top honours.

    Summary: JADE RENARDIER (16) returns to this track in good form and does look the one to be with in a tricky lucky last race. JESABELLE DU JOUR (11) was unshod and runner-up last time out and is capable of going one better this time. JUBILATION (5) is unreliable but does like this track and has a winning chance. JUSTICE PROUVEE (8) is hard to trust but is capable of winning when smart.

  2. GARLIAT MUE – Won on his chase debut at Pau over 3400m on December 11th on his second start. Looks a promising type and capable of following up
  3. LE RIVAGE – Failed to finish last time in a Class 1 chase in mid-December at this track. Good run on his penultimate start when he was fourth in a Class 2 chase at Auteuil over 3500m on November 30th. Can be competitive
  4. CANTSBEE – Credible 2nd over 3900m in a Class 1 chase at Pau on December 17th when last seen. Can play a lead role
  5. CORAIL NOIR – 4th on the most recent run over 3500m at Pau in a Class 1 hurdle on December 21st. Might find a few of these too smart
  6. SPIDER BLACK – 5th over 3700m at Angers in a Class 3 chase when last seen on December 7th. Unlikely to be a threat
  7. SANTOLINA – Credible effort to be 2nd at Landivisiau on September 15th over 3900m in a Class 4 chase when last seen. She is lightly raced but others make more appeal
    Summary: GARLIAT MUE (2) won nicely on his first try over fences at this track in December on only his second run over obstacles. He should be able to follow up at the expense of LE RIVAGE (3) who looks like the main danger. He failed to finish in a Class 1 chase last time but was a pleasing fourth at Auteuil in a Class 2 chase in late November and that form is a positive. CANTSBEE (4) ran well in a Class 1 chase when second recently and warrants respect. UN CHIC CHEVAL (1) is also one to consider.

  9. ILLICO – Unplaced over hurdles last time. He will be more at home in this race as he won in January 2024 over course and distance in a Class 3 cross-country race. Player
  10. HELLO DE SIVOLA – Credible 4th over 5600m at this track on December 21st in a Class 1 cross-country. Can not be overlooked
  11. ISAGIRL – Good win over 4100m in a Class 2 cross-country on December 17th at this track on her last start. She can follow up
  12. FREE LANO – 4th over 4600m in a Class 3 cross-country on December 10th on his last start. Needs to be more reliable
  13. ISOLINE D’ALENE – She has been 2nd three times and also got a win in her last five starts, the most recent 2nd was on December 8th in a Class 3 cross-country over 4200m. She needs a few to misfire
  14. THEQUIETMAN – Four unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 4700m at Pau over fences in a Class 1 race on February 18th. Second try in this type of race
  15. SOLINGEN – Fair 3rd over track and trip in a Class 2 cross-country on December 17th when last racing. Top three chance
  16. BOLID DU MATHAN – Not seen since a 6th in a Listed cross-country race at Craon on September 3rd, 2023. Will likely need this run after a long absence
    Summary: ISAGIRL (4) won narrowly in a Class 2 cross-country race on her latest start at this track in mid-December and looks like the safest option. ILLICO (2) is a course winner over hurdles, and also in this discipline in January 2024 over 4100m. He can give the selection the most to do.
