R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX PRO PATRIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000
- KEMILLA DE BRION – Sanctioned in a 2800m Pontchateau conditioner on 22 December. Not the easiest of horses to handle but she has excellent speed and will have a main part to play if Matthieu Abrivard can keep her focused
- KLASSE DE BRUZEAU – 6th of 16 in a 2700m Class D here on Christmas Day. Sports a new configuration but has been unexceptional here this winter and can be passed over
- KOH LANTA – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd of 15 in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Takes on a better bunch this time but is nicely-placed in front, runs barefoot, and should not be overlooked
- KARA D’OR – Has been on a fine run of form, latterly coming good 2nd of 8 finishers to KYNTE FLUSH (8) in a Class E over course and distance on 24 December. Handed the plum spot in front and could well turn the tables
- KARINA STEED – Showed marked improvement when 4th of 15, a place behind KOH LANTA (3), in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago, but still has more to find
- KISS ME DU RUEL – Encouraged on re-entry but was quickly sanctioned in a 2700m Class D here on Christmas Day and in this company will have nothing to contribute
- KARMINA – 6th on comeback here before being sanctioned, at 148/1, in a 2175m Class D here mid-December and can be ruled out
- KYNTE FLUSH – Made short work of a Class E over course and distance on 24 December. Never far from faulting but, if focused, will have the measure of the field
- KENZA SUPREME – Makes first appearance since coming 4th of 16 in a Class D over track and trip early-December. Forced to start wide but in the hands of Mathieu Mottier is not to be underestimated
- KATHLEEN D’ECOTAY – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago and can expect to have few friends
- KALISKANA – Beat KWALITA SUPREME (14) before running 3rd to KYNTE FLUSH (8). Sanctioned when being conditioned, shod, in a 2825m Cordemais Class E on 15 January but with shoes off this time will be competitive for a place in the frame
- KHALEESI D’ALESA – 7th of 15 behind KOH LANTA (3), on first start back, in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Sports pads this time but others still easier to back
- KAMBRIA JOSSELYN – Imposed here early last month but disappointing in next 2, most recently when last of 8 in a 2850m Class D last Monday. Is patently better than that and it is just a question of time before she comes good again
- KWALITA SUPREME – Opened her 2025 account when comfortably winning a 2700m Class E here mid-Month. Romain Derieux would have preferred a more favourable draw but his mare is on the boil and will be expected to contest the finish
- KATAVIA PRESS – Added a 4th win to her tally when successful in a Class E over course and distance on 28 December. Steps marginally up in company and the draw will do her no favours
- KENNEDY STREET – 10th of 16 behind KLASSE DE BRUZEAU (2) in a 2700m Class D here a month back. Kicked the winter off well but has since lost her way and the draw just compounds matters
Summary: Spirited she may be but KYNTE FLUSH (8) won stylishly under these conditions on Christmas Eve, beating the more dependable KARA D’OR (4) who set her personal best time that day, and KALISKANA (11) who returns to racing barefoot after prepping at Cordemais, and can repeat. The latter, however, may first have to defer to KWALITA SUPREME (14) who, despite being handed a tough draw, has looked a different horse this term and will be competitive.

C2 – PRIX TIDALIUM PELO – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Amateur Riders Race – Mounted – EUR € 61,000 - HELIUM DE L’ITON – Useful on a good day but sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2200m Class D here on 20 December, and others easier to trust
- ELIXIR – Reassuring, and surprise, 2nd of 17 in a 2850m Class D here on 29 December, however a repeat seems most improbable
- FOSTER DE L’ITON – Makes first appearance since faulting in a Class C over course and distance early-November. Is plainly in competition-mode and, with application, is unlikely to disappoint
- HUGO OCCAGNES – Finished 6th of 9 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class C late-December. Theo Raffin in the saddle this time but others still preferred
- FEVE DE BEYLEV – Encouraged behind ELIXIR (2) late-December before coming 7th of 9 finishers in a 2175m Class C here last weekend and seems to be out of his depth
- HURRICANE WAY – Hard to criticise in 3 starts this winter, most recently good 4th of 7 finishers in a 2850m Class D here on 14 December. Shoes back on and Estelle Croisic will be keen to put things right
- HARDI CROWN – Returns to the discipline after finishing 11th of 16 behind GINKO DU ROUSSOIR (13) in a 2100m harness Class B conditioner here 2 weeks ago. Boasts excellent monte references and looks principal threat to HEDEN CRUZ (8)
- HEDEN CRUZ – Classy campaigner that ran 2nd of 13 in a Gr.3 over course and distance late last month. Is at the top of his game and will be very hard to oppose
- GUAPO MARBOULA – Not devoid of talent but sanctioned in 5 of last 6, latterly a 2850m Class B here on 15 January, but could yet get a look-in if Thomas Roullier keeps him focused
- GREZ – Placed in first 2 monte starts but ran 6th of 15 mid-month in a 2850m Class B here. Faces a less arduous task on this occasion and has a realistic chance of making first 5
- FOREVER JIEL – Did not enjoy the best of trips when sanctioned in a Class B under these conditions 3 weeks ago. Lacks reliability, not ability, and if behaved can trot his way onto the podium
- HERE I GO AGAIN – Flattering 4th in early-December before running 5th of 6 finishers in a Class B over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Is not about to spring a surprise but still has a claim on a minor place cheque
- GINKO DU ROUSSOIR – Modest individual that finished 8th of 16 in a 2100m Class B here 2 weeks ago and can be confidently ruled out
Summary: HEDEN CRUZ (8) has been simply excellent at Vincennes this winter, forms a sensational tandem with Tamara Mathias-Maisonnette, and can make this his own. A fine servant under the saddle, HARDI CROWN (7) prepped for this under harness and looks a major player on return to his code of preference. FOREVER JIEL (11) is not always the easiest handle but is a tough nut when focused and on good behaviour can play a prominent role. Given time to recalibrate after faulting in his last 2, FOSTER DE L’ITON (3) will be dangerous if Agathe Poulain keeps his mind on the game.

C3 – PRIX JACQUES ANDRIEU – 2850m (a2m) – Gr2 Race – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - HEURISTIQUE – Useful mare that ran 2nd to GADGET DU GADE (2) in a Class B over course and distance mid-month but is being aimed too high on this occasion
- GADGET DU GADE – Achieved his first goal of the season, clinching a Class B over course and distance mid-month, at 59/1, but appears to be taking on too much this time
- IMPALA DE VAL – Easy winner of 2700m Gr.3 Prix Djerid here a fortnight back. Takes on superior horses this time but is at the top of his game and will be competitive at the business end of the race
- GOOD GIRL MARCEAUX – Lost her action when well-backed in Gr.3 Prix Djerid earlier this month. Has a good record with Alexandre Abrivard and, with application, will be no pushover
- GO OR NOT – Quality element stepping up in category after dominating a 2700m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Pitted against better this time but can still hold his own
- HALFA – Has been enjoying a productive run of form, most recently 4th of 13 behind EDITION GEMA (11) in 2850m Gr.2 Prix du Calvados on 5 January. Somewhat outclassed this time but with some luck in running, could still make first 5
- FOUGUE DU DOLLAR – Courageous but unexceptional 5th of 7 finishers to IMPALA DE VAL (3) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Djerid here a fortnight ago and will need to find more
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Close 2nd of 9 in a harness Gr.3 over course and distance 2 weeks ago which had been preceded by a solid effort under the saddle. Starts in front and, if still on the boil, can play a leading role
- HIDALGO DES NOES – Has taken well to his new vocation, placing in both starts, latterly 2nd of 10 to IMPALA DE VAL (3) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Djerid here a fortnight ago. Is as game as they come and will have his supporters
- FILWELL – Comfortably won 2175m Gr.3 Prix Auguste François here on 11 December, making it 2 in a row. Has previously defied the handicap and looks good enough to secure the hat-trick
- EDITION GEMA – Ran 2nd in Gr.2 Prix du Calvados before coming 8th of 13 finishers in 2700m Gr.1 Prix du Cornulier. Won this race 12 months ago and a repeat is not out of the question
Summary: A terrific campaigner and very hard to fault in this branch of the business, FILWELL (10) starts on the back row but proved in the Gr.3 Prix de l’Ile d’Oléron that he is eminently up to the task. Titleholder EDITION GEMA (11) also has an extra 25m to travel but she has been acquitting herself superbly this winter and represents the main danger. HANNIBAL TUILERIE (8) gave a fine account last month on his first monte start since 2020 before following up with a similarly good run in a harness Gr.3, and must be taken at face value. Barring the occasional blunder, IMPALA DE VAL (3) seldom disappoints and Benjamin Rochard will be eager to confirm their recent Gr.3 victory.

C4 – PRIX RMC (PRIX OFFSHORE DREAM) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - KEMPEL DE GUEZ – Won over 2850m before running 4th of 11 finishers in a tough 2700m Class D here on Christmas Day. Obliged to start on the rail but still looks a major player
- KILLER FOR LOVA – 7th of 10 finishers in a Class D under these conditions a fortnight ago. Well-positioned in front this time though and should show improvement
- KHEOPS BOURBON – Honest type that finished 6th of 11 finishers behind KEMPEL DE GUEZ (1) in a 2700m Class D here on Christmas Day. Has a decent spot in front but still represents no more than a minor place chance
- KOALA DES ARCS – Makes Vincennes debut on a hat-trick of sanctions, latterly a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 22 December, and even though ideally-placed in front, and reconfigured, has little chance of influencing the outcome
- KIFF L’OSEILLE – Has taken his game to another level since starting to race barefoot, latterly winning a 2700m Class E on 18 December. Has a lot going for him here and will again take all the beating
- KUSAERI – Respectable 5th of 14 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 22 December. Handed a good draw but in this company will have little to offer
- KAIROS DE BOMO – Has not been seen out since finishing 13 of 15 in a 2700m Class C here 3 months ago and will need the run
- KENNEDY FRANCE – Missed out by little in a 2325m Toulouse Class D last weekend. Has yet to win at Vincennes but in current form is very easy to like
- KENZO DU MONT – Kicked the winter off well but unplaced in next 2, most recently 7th of 13 behind KILLER FOR LOVA (2) in a 2175m Class D here on 13 December, and the wide draw only adds insult to injury
- KAZAN DE VANDEL – Unthreatening 4th of 11 behind KANGOUROU (15) in a Class E under these conditions on New Year’s Day. Handed an unfavourable draw and is unlikely to shake things up
- KOOL LUDOIS – Has shown significant improvement since being bought out of a claimer in the autumn, most recently 3rd of 14 to KIFF L’OSEILLE (5) in a 2700m Class E here on 18 December. On back row but can still make first 5
- KAVAL BOURBON – Sanctioned over course and distance prior to finishing 9th of 11 finishers behind KEMPEL DE GUEZ (1) in a 2700m Class D here on Christmas Day and can be excluded
- KERRO DE HOUELLE – Good, consistent type that ran a courageous 2nd of 7 in a 2850m Class D here last Sunday. Not favourably-drawn but his form is hard to ignore
- KAID MARTIN – Got back in the game on 22 December when just missing out in a Class E over course and distance. Has been handed a rough draw but with the champion driver reining, must be considered a contender
- KANGOUROU – Reassuring 2nd of 10 in a Class E under these conditions on New Year’s Day. Takes on a superior lot this time and the draw does nothing to help his cause
- KAVANI – Reverts to a previous formula after coming last of 6 finishers in a 2850m Class D here last weekend. Forced to break wide on 2nd line and has no possible chance
Summary: He boasts a 50% win-rate, is unbeaten in 2 barefoot starts, and breaking from the 5-spot, KIFF L’OSEILLE (5) has every chance of pulling off the hat-trick. He will still be opposed by KEMPEL DE GUEZ (1) who thrives with Tristan Ouvrie, and KAID MARTIN (14) who, despite being handed a shocking draw, is clearly in form and will again be reined by Eric Raffin. KENNEDY FRANCE (8) is plainly close to his race and even though breaking wide, will be no pushover.

C5 – PRIX CAMILLE BLAISOT – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 Race – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - KELVALSE CASTELETS – Sanctioned when unsupported in Gr.1 Prix Jag de Bellouet before running 5th of 11 behind KATINKA AIMEF (3) in a Class B over course and distance a month back, and chances appear limited once more
- KIRCIE DE GUEZ – Has raced just twice this term after having been put away following her 3rd place in Gr.1 Prix du Président de la République last June, latterly last of 11 in a 2700m Class B here last weekend. Barefoot this time though and can make first 5
- KATINKA AIMEF – Looked ordinary before being sanctioned in Prix Léon Tacquet earlier in the month. Has never won at this level and is unlikely to start now
- KEENGAME – Left a very good impression when 2nd of 9 in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Léon Tacquet earlier this month. Won Gr.2 Prix Philippe du Rozier under these conditions early-December and has a realistic chance of repeating
- KAPAULA DE L’EPINE – Produced career-best performance when 2nd of 9 finishers in Gr.1 Prix Jag de Bellouet mid-December. Last of 7 behind KEENGAME (4) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Léon Tacquet on 4 January but will have progressed and is unlikely to disappoint
- KELLY DE BANVILLE – Last of 11 when preparing for this in a 2850m harness Gr.2 here a fortnight ago. Has previously successfully crossed swords with KEENGAME (4) and will be competitive for a place on the podium
- KYRIELLE DES VAUX – Not as performant as she was before returning this term, most recently 6th of 7 finishers in 4 January race of reference. Has talent to burn though and could pleasantly surprise
- KYT KAT – Not pushed hard when 4th of 9 behind KEENGAME (4) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Léon Tacquet on 4 January. Twice a Gr.2 winner over course and distance and will be expected to bring the fight to Anthony Barrier’s mount
Summary: After having finished a disappointing 6th in the Gr.1 Prix Jag de Bellouet mid-December, KEENGAME (4) then ran 2nd to the excellent Joumba De Guez in the Gr. Prix Léon Tacquet 3 weeks ago and can impose this time. She will still come up against considerable opposition from dual-Gr.1 winner KYT KAT (8) who ran an unstressed 4th to her that day, and the tough KELLY DE BANVILLE (6) who races barefoot following her harness prep.

C6 – PRIX D’ AMERIQUE – AMERIQUE RACES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr1 Race – Harness – EUR € 1,000,000 - IROISE DE LA NOE – Authoritative winner of 2850m Gr.2 Prix de Belgique on 12 January. Races for just 2nd time at highest level and while eminently talented, may just have too much to do this time
- KEEP GOING – Criterium des 4 Ans winner during the autumn, most recently securing 2100m Gr.1 Critérium Continental here on 22 December. Only 5yo in the field but is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- JUSTIN BOLD – Bagged his ticket when excellent 3rd of 17 to IDAO DE TILLARD (18) in 2100m Gr.2 Prix de Bourgogne here on 29 December. Unplaced in the Belgique when being conditioned and, shod to preference, will be one to watch
- FAKIR DE MAHEY – Punched his Amerique ticket when 4th to JOSH POWER (7) in Prix du Bourbonnais but faces an arduous task on this occasion
- IDEAL LIGNERIES – Made up for Bourgogne 7th when 2nd of 15 to IROISE DE LA NOE (1) in 2850m Gr.2 Prix de Belgique on 12 January. Benjamin Rochard in the bike this time but cannot be considered a priority
- IT’S A DOLLARMAKER – Beat IROISE DE LA NOE (1) in GNT Final prior to running 4th to her in Prix de Belgique. Faces tougher test on this occasion and cannot be considered a priority
- JOSH POWER – Dual-Criterium winner that qualified with Bourbonnais victory before running 6th in Prix de Bourgogne when preparing for this. Boasts excellent speed, races barefoot, and is expected to finish in the mix
- JUST LOVE YOU – Facile winner of 2700m Gr.1 Prix Ténor de Baune on 22 December before running 11th of 15 in Belgique when being conditioned. Shoes off this time and up against tough older horses, but can still trot her way into the money
- INMAROSA – Encouraging 5th of 15 to IROISE DE LA NOE (1) in 2850m Gr.2 Prix de Belgique on 12 January. Has not won a race for almost 3 years and is not about to buck the trend
- DIMITRI FERM – Disappointing in 2 since running 2nd to Jushua Tree in Prix Marcel Laurent in early-November, latterly 12th of 14 finishers in Prix de Bourgogne, and racing shod will do his prospects no favours
- HUSSARD DU LANDRET – 8th of 17 to IDAO DE TILLARD (18) when preparing for this in Prix de Bourgogne late-December. Most impressive when victorious in Prix de Bretagne and a similar performance would see him go close
- EMERAUDE DE BAIS – Runner-up to JOSH POWER (7) in Prix du Bourbonnais prior to faulting in Prix de Bourgogne late last month. Franck Nivard in the wagon this time and can play a role if he keeps her focused
- SAN MOTEUR – Missed out by a nose to HUSSARD DU LANDRET (11) in Prix de Bretagne before dominating the valuable 2140m Gulddivision Final in Gothenburg mid-December. Boasts an enviable strike-rate and looks a serious proposition
- DON FANUCCI ZET – Finished a pleasant 6th of 15 in Prix de Belgique 2 weeks ago and while sure to acquit himself honourably, is unlikely to cause an upset
- AMPIA MEDE SM – Runner-up to HOOKER BERRY (17) in 2023 edition, followed by an uneasy 7th 12 months ago. Could manage only 7th again in Prix de Belgique and in current form, others will be easier to support
- GO ON BOY – Close 2nd of 17 to IDAO DE TILLARD (18) in 2100m Gr.2 Prix de Bourgogne here on 29 December, after a 2-months’ hiatus. Enjoyed a terrific 2024 and is not incapable of getting the new year off to the best possible start
- HOOKER BERRY – Has not won since last June but consistently gives his best, most recently 3rd to IROISE DE LA NOE (1) in 2850m Gr.2 Prix de Belgique a fortnight back. Unlikely to repeat 2023 success but will not be far off the mark
- IDAO DE TILLARD – Reassuring winner of 2100m Gr.2 Prix de Bourgogne here on 29 December, his first victory since September. With health issues put to bed, he looked close to his best that day and can win this for 2nd year in a row
Summary: Unbeaten last winter, IDAO DE TILLARD (18) was less performant in the latter half of 2024 but reassured with a comfortable Prix de Bourgogne success. It looks like Thierry Duvaldestin’s 7yo is back at his best and, barefoot for the first time in his career, will be ready to defend his title. Runner-up to him late last month, GO ON BOY (16) beat him in both the Grand Prix de Wallonie and l’UET Elite Circuit Finale during the autumn and, barefoot for just the second time in 11 months, is expected to improve on last year’s 4th place. Björn Goop has prepared SAN MOTEUR (13) at home in Sweden, runs him unshod-behind, and will be justifiably expecting a big run. Barefoot for the first time since April, HUSSARD DU LANDRET (11) has been kept ticking over since winning the Prix de Bretagne and Yoann Lebourgeois will be particularly attentive to his charge’s initial steps, having faulted early in the 2024 edition.

C7 – PRIX JEAN RENE GOUGEON – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - JAKARTAS DES PRES – Showed improvement when 6th of 12 behind WORKING CLASS HERO (9) in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Tenor de Baune here on 22 December. Hind shoes off but still has more to find
- IZNOGOUD AM – 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Gr.3 here last weekend. Enjoys a good spot behind the car and, barefoot for first time here since running 2nd in Gr.1 Grand Prix de l’UET in 2022, should not be ignored
- INVICTUS MADIBA – Returns to the harness code after being sanctioned in a 2700m monte Gr.3 here late last month. Has been handed a favourable draw and Franck Nivard will be eager to take advantage. Minor place prospect
- HERE WE GO – Disappointing in a Class B late-December prior to faulting in a 2850m monte Class E here mid-month. Barefoot this time but looks no more than a minor place chance
- BENGAN – Oddly out of sorts when 12th of 15 in a Class A under these conditions 3 weeks ago. Has had time to recalibrate and from the 5-spot can start to get back in the game
- JANGO VICI – Quality trotter but was trounced in Prix Tenor de Baune before running 7th of 9 in a 2700m Gr.3 here a week ago, and will need to have found something extra in the interim
- HULYSSE DIGEO – Won 4 of last 5, most recently dominating a Class B over track and trip a fortnight back. Breaks in front and looks main threat to WORKING CLASS HERO (9)
- HUBBLE DU VIVIER – 2nd of 16 to HULYSSE DIGEO (7) in a Class B over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Has been knocking at the door and although drawn wide, he is hard to ignore with JMB reining. Place chance
- WORKING CLASS HERO – Beaten only by a very good horse in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Tenor de Baune here on 22 December. Has never disappointed here and, despite the draw, will be difficult to beat
- CHARMY CHARLY AS – 6th of 12 in a Class A over course and distance earlier this month. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and will not be too far from the action if he can position him early
- COBRA KILLER GAR – Came close to making it 8 in a row when just beaten in a 2700m Class C here a month ago. Unfavourably-drawn but is still capable of making a big impact
- DANGER BI – Has ample ability but yet to make his mark here, most recently sanctioned early in a Class A under these conditions earlier this month. Showed his form though and will not be far off the mark if Alessandro Gocciadoro assures his initial strides
- HASUR DAIRPET – Races with 4 pads for first time after finishing 11th of 14 in a 2700m Class C here last weekend. Breaks from the rear and is unlikely to cause an upset
- HANDY BOURBON – 14th of 16 to HULYSSE DIGEO (7) in a Class B over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Has been off the boil for some time and has no realistic chance
Summary: Simply superb at Vincennes and runner-up to Prix d’Amérique candidate, Just Love You, in the Gr.1 Prix Ténor de Baune last month, WORKING CLASS HERO (9) is forced to break from the tough 9-spot but he is in good hands and looks the pick this time. Unbeaten in 3 Vincennes starts this winter, HULYSSE DIGEO (7) is somewhat better-placed and Jean-William Hallais will be keen to secure the 4-timer. A veritable metronome over the past 11 months, COBRA KILLER GAR (11) just missed out here on Christmas Eve and will be no easy touch, however Gabriele Gelormini will first need to successfully negotiate the start. Barefoot after running 2nd to Hallais’ horse a fortnight ago, HUBBLE DU VIVIER (8) must be considered a player.

C8 – PRIX DE MEADOWLANDS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - LARA DE CHENU – Reassuring, but well-beaten, 2nd to LUTECE JISCE (4) in a Class D over track and trip on 6 January, and to compete at this level will need to find more
- LORENE D’AVEZE – Picked up on re-entry where she left off last winter, making short work of a 2100m Class D here mid-month. Is plainly a filly for the future and can wrap this up
- LUTELLIA MONNERIE – Just one win to her name but has placed in 4 of last 5, most recently runner-up to LAUREATE DRY (11) in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago, and can again compete for a place cheque
- LUTECE JISCE – Made up for a brace of sanctions when routing the opposition in a Class D over track and trip on 6 January. Eric Raffin in charge again and can take the fight to LORENE D’AVEZE (2)
- LAURELINA – Last but one behind LARA CROFT (13) in a 2175m Class A here on 22 December. Sports modified shoeing but still not a priority
- LAMIE DU MESNIL – Moderate filly climbing the category-ladder after running 6th of 9 behind LARA CROFT (13) in a 2175m Class A here on 22 December and even though racing barefoot is not going to influence the result
- L’ETOILE – Pleasant 3rd of 10 to LAUREATE DRY (11) in a Class B over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Races barefoot again but steps up in category and may be taking on too much
- LOUVE DE DAIDOU – It took a couple of runs to come to hand but tenaciously won a Class C over course and distance late-December and will again be expected to feature prominently
- LIPANGA DE GUEZ – Last of 7 finishers behind LUNELLA LEMAN (10) in a Class A under these conditions on 3 January and is unlikely to respond to an unrealistic ask
- LUNELLA LEMAN – Authoritative winner of a Class C over 2700m before running 2nd to a good filly in a Class A under similar conditions on 3 January. Unlikely to win this but still looks a respectable first-5 chance
- LAUREATE DRY – Ran 2nd to LUNELLA LEMAN (10) before securing a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. Steps up in category but has earned her place here and is not about to let the side down
- LUMINOUS STAR – Has yet to win in Paris but has placed on several occasions. Ran 4th of 8 behind LUNELLA LEMAN (10) in a Class A under these conditions on 3 January, but others still easier to back
- LARA CROFT – Pleasant 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2175m Class A here on 22 December. Races barefoot for first time and seems most unlikely to disappoint
- LITTLE WINGS – Nicely-entered at the limit of earnings and racing first-time barefoot but will need to show considerable improvement on her last of 9 behind LARA CROFT (13) in a 2175m Class A here on 22 December
Summary: LORENE D’AVEZE (2) was sent for a break after winning here last March, returned just 12 days ago with an unoppsable performance and, barefoot for the first time, looks set to continue her successful ways. JMB would still be wise to be wary of the similarly-progressive LUTECE JISCE (4) who dominated a Class D here 3 weeks ago, and a reconfigured LOUVE DE DAIDOU (8) who tenaciously won under these conditions late last month. LAUREATE DRY (11) has taken her game to a new level recently and going barefoot again will do her prospects no disservice.

- HANNAH – 5th of 15 in a 2850m monte Class B here mid-month. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- JEEGHA PRIDE – Won a Class A over course and distance before running 6th of 9 behind JOCONDE SIBEY (5) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Michel Marcel Gougeon here last weekend. Handed an excellent draw and Théo Duvaldestin will be eager to make hay
- ILLUSION JIPAD – Made amends for GNT Final sanction when 2nd of 16 in valuable Cagnes Gr.3 over 2925m 2.5 weeks ago. Handed the 4-spot and with form maintained could pleasantly surprise
- JOCONDE SIBEY – In the frame in 3 of last 4, latterly 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Gr.3 here a week ago. Well-placed on front line and can bring the fight to the visitors
- ICONE MADRIK – 6th in GNT Final before leaving a good impression when 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Class A here a month back. JMB maintains faith and from the front row must be taken seriously
- HIGH PROPULSION – Solid in last 3, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Simply excels with Eric Raffin and is not one to be underestimated
- BETTING PACER – Quality Scandinavian mare and compatriot of the race’s namesake, most recently 2nd of 11 in a valuable Silverdivision race at Färjestad 3 weeks ago. Breaks wide here but has good speed and will have her chances if she takes to the new profile
- DEA SPRINT BAR – Won 5 from 6 in Sweden before coming 3rd of 14 in a Class A over track and trip early this month. Will have come on for the run and, poorly-drawn or not, still looks the one to beat
- JOLIE STAR – Pleases for the most part but sanctioned in a 2850m Class E here 2 weeks ago and appears to have little working for her this time
- MAGGIORE (SWE) – Takes a leap in category after running 5th of 13 in a Class D under these conditions a month ago and can be confidently disregarded
- DALI PRAV – Makes Vincennes debut after running 3rd of 9 in a valuable mares race over a mile in Naples on 22 December. Starts on 2nd line here and in this company may well be found wanting
- JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Won a Cagnes Class C before running 4th of 15 in a 2925m Class D at same venue 2.5 weeks ago. Has previously imposed under these conditions but is biting off more than she can chew this time
Summary: DEA SPRINT BAR (9) hardly put a foot out of line in all of 2024, has solid references here, and her recent Vincennes comeback augurs well for her chances. Alessandro Gocciadoro can nevertheless expect to come under pressure from fellow visitor BETTING PACER (8) who debuts at Vincennes on her first trip outside of the nordics. Neither has won the draw-lottery but they still represent the best chances here. Better-positioned behind the car, JOCONDE SIBEY (5) gave a reassuring account in the Gr.3 Prix Michel Marcel Gougeon and can again make the frame, as can JEEGHA PRIDE (3) if she replicates her penultimate performance.

C10 – PRIX MONI MAKER – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - LENNON D’HERFRAIE – Opened 2025 account on 5 January but failed to confirm a fortnight later when 7th of 9 finishers behind LUTIN VENESI (3) in a 2100m Class B here. Not a priority but should not be entirely written off either
- LUTIN DE REUX – Eye-catching 3rd of 8, a place behind LOUISON (8), in a Class A under these conditions on 1 January and can put pressure on the Bazire pair if Alexandre Abrivard gets him off on the right foot
- LUTIN VENESI – Generous sort that always gives his best, most recently courageous 4th of 9 finishers in a 2100m Class B here a week ago, but has more to find on this occasion
- LORD DU GERS – Quality, progressive colt that eclipsed the competition in a Class C over course and distance on 29 December. Steps up in category but has the class to further extend his tally
- LOVE GLYCINES – Ran 2nd to LORD DELO (7) in a Class B prior to finishing a disappointing last but one behind LOUISON (8) in a 2175m Class A here on 21 December. Races first-time barefoot though and will appreciate this longer trip. Place chance
- LE JIBAY – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a Class A over course and distance 2 months ago. Shoes on and no threat
- LORD DELO – Has come back into himself over recent weeks, latterly 2nd of 10 finishers in a Class B over track and trip on 12 December. Competitively-shod for first time and is clearly main danger to LORD DU GERS (4)
- LOUISON – Honest individual the finished a 25/1 2nd of 8 in a Class A over course and distance on New Year’s Day. Goes barefoot again and will be expected to finish in the mix
Summary: The Bazire stable looks to have this wrapped up with 2 top-tier runners in action. Unshod-behind for the first time, LORD DU GERS (4) has only gone from strength to strength, winning 4 of 5 starts and his latest with authority. Stablemate LORD DELO (7) has begun to get back in the game, comes here fresh, with just hind shoes fitted, and will be no soft touch. LUTIN DE REUX (2) gave an excellent account earlier in the month despite a terrible break and looks the best of the rest.

Summary: First-start winner MAWENZI (9) and MISSILE DE TAGOR (10), who bounced back from his debut disqualification to score at Bordeaux 3 weeks ago, seem likely to fight out the finish with improvement expected of both. MALABAR MAGO (8), whose recent course-and-distance 2nd was encouraging, and MISTRAL JANEIRO (6), who was 3rd at Cabourg earlier this month, have also shown enough to be competitive for a spot on the podium. - KEOPS DU BUHOT – In good shape and was not disgraced when barefoot and 5th in Class E at Vincennes over 2100m on 22 January. Not fully barefoot this time but can bounce back to score
Summary: Several with a winning chance here, though none make more appeal than KEOPS DU BUHOT (13) whose 5th at Vincennes last time gives him a genuine shot at victory here. However, last-start winner KARATE KING (10), freshened since his win at Bordeaux last month, and KAROLINA DI SEMBLE (12), barefoot again as in her latest success 2 starts back, are expected to be up for the fight. Recent Vincennes runner-up KEN DE CORDAY (8) is another with legitimate podium aspirations.

Summary: A toss-up for race honours between JOYEUSE ENTREE (3), proven under the saddle and runner-up at Vincennes last time, and the hard-knocking IGOR DU PARC (8) whose consistency ought to be rewarded sooner rather than later. Veteran mare NYMKE BRIGADOON (2) and JOKER DU HAMEL (6), who was 4th (shod) on this course recently over 3000m, have the form and experience to also play leading roles under these conditions.

Summary: Recent Bordeaux runner-up LIZENN D’ERQUY (8) sets the standard and doesn’t need to improve much on her last start to go one better. Enigmatic LORD TURGOT (15) and LORD DE BRION (5), after a pleasing comeback 5th at Angers, could pose a threat, along with last-start Argentan scorer LOUSTIC DE CHENU (4), who remains unshod. LOVING DREAM (12), did well enough at Vincennes last time to suggest he is competitive for a podium berth.

- INDICE D’ARGENT – Disqualified last time out at Vincennes on 19 January. Best when unshod and is not barefoot this time but does have a winning chance
- IDEAL DU DIGEON – In good form and was fourth in Class E at Vincennes over 2175m on 19 January. Should fight out the finish
- ISIS DE LA FERME – Did not show her best when 14th last time out in Class E at Pontchâteau over 2800m on 22 December. Capable of bouncing back to be a threat
- ILIADE D’URZY – Very unreliable but did run well when fourth in Class E over this course and distance on 17 January. Capable of an upset
- IBERA – Only modest of late and was 6th in Class D over this course and distance on 17 January. Likes this track and could earn some minor money
Summary: IDEAL DU DIGEON (11) sets a lofty standard and is hard to oppose on the evidence of his recent Vincennes 4th over 2175m last week. Despite their recent failures (disqualifications), INCREDIBLE TALENT (6) and INDICE D’ARGENT (10) are capable of troubling the selection if they are diligent/remain wise. ILIADE D’URZY (13) needs only to confirm the improvement of her recent course-and-distance 4th to make her presence felt at the finish, with returning INTRIGUE DE VIETTE (3) and ICE HAUFOR (9) completing the shortlist.

- IMOKO ATOUT – Fifth in a class D at Vincennes over 2100m on 12 January. If wise it has the ability to go close to winning
Summary: IMOKO ATOUT (16) is a tricky customer with undeniable means and a repeat of the performance that saw him finish 5th in a well-composed field at Vincennes a fortnight ago should be good enough to land the spoils. IMPERIALE MIVENCE (6) has sound references on this track and, on the evidence of a pleasing recent display, could threaten the selection. She leads the opposition ahead of IBIS D’AUVRECY (5) and ISIDORO DIDAN (2), who showed their form and well-being by finishing 3rd in their latest appearances. Last-start amateur winner HUNMEC SOMOLLI (14) and IGGY POP DE CHENU (15) appeal most of the remainder.

- HUNT – Finished 6th in a class C at Vincennes over 2850m on 1 January. Capable of contesting the finish and deserves to be respected
Summary: HUNT (16) acquitted himself (6th) well in a stronger race/field at Vincennes on New Year’s Day and a similar performance at this level should suffice. Course specialist HERMES D’ECROVILLE (15) leads the opposition and could make life difficult for the selection if building on a pleasing recent display (3rd) here over 3000m. HEUREUX DE BOUERE (13), proven in this grade, and honest hard-knocker FERGIE HIGHLAND (14) have the means to fight for a spot on the podium, and complete the shortlist ahead of IMPERATRICE HEDEN (7) and HENZO DREAM (2).
