C1 – PRIX DE DURTAL LES RAIRIES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000

  1. HAPPY DU BOIS – Did not show his best when 6th in class B at Agen-The Passage over 2625m on 22 January. In good form before that and is not out of it
  2. HERMES D’ECROVILLE – Consistent of late and finished third in class E at Nantes over 3025m on 26 January. Can make the frame
  3. HERCULE DE LEAU – Unreliable but was barefoot and runner-up in Class E at Nantes over 3000m on 17 January. Remains barefoot and has a place chance
  4. HADRIEN – Ignore the last run when 13th in Class E at Argentan over 2875m on 26 December. Best when barefoot and is unshod and capable of an upset
  5. CHEMAR – Bounced back to win in class C over this course and distance on 4 December. In similar form can double up
  6. HASHTAG CHAMANT – Has really struggled of late and was tenth in class B at this course, over 2850m on 23 January. Others make more appeal
  7. COOL KRONOS – Unreliable of late and finished 6th in class B at Marseille-Vivaux on 30 November. Could need this run returning from a break
  8. STARO MOJITO – Disappointing form of late and finished 7th in class D at this course over 2200m on 31 January. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  9. IBIS PETTEVINIERE – In very good shape and was victorious last time out in class D at this course over 2700m on 23 January. Be right there at the finish
  10. COINTREAU – Holding form and was barefoot and fourth in class E at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 19 January. Can earn some minor money unshod again

  15. SANTOS DE CASTELLA – Disqualified at this course on 23 January. Battling to find best form and others are much improved
  16. INSTANT D’HAUFOR – Has two wins in his last four starts and was fourth in class D at this course over 2700m on 23 January. Has a winning chance
    Summary: CHEMAR (5) was a good winner over this track and trip in early December. He is well-positioned behind the auto-start and can follow up on that success. IBIS PETTEVINIERE (9) is drawn on the outside but is in good form and would not be a surprise winner. HAPPY DU BOIS (1) was in fine fettle before a disappointing last effort. INSTANT D’HAUFOR (16) was not disgraced over this course and distance last time out and can contest the finish.

  28. HELIOS DU NOYER – Disqualified last time out at Vire on 26 January. Consistent before that and could earn some minor money if wise
  29. JOSIO DU POMMEREUX – On a very long losing run but was runner-up in a claimer over this track and trip on 10 January. Can go one better
    Summary: A very difficult race to find the winner. HARFAN DES GRANGES (3) is not reliable but is capable of winning a race like this if applied. IRON MIJACK (8) won at this track last month and can follow up over this shorter distance. HORUS DE ROMAZ (9) is not easy to trust but did not run too badly last time out and could do a lot better this distance. HARLEY DU CHERISAY (2) drops to a claimer and could surprise.

  39. MADONE DU TRIEUX – Not easy to trust and was disqualified at this course on 7 January. Runner-up in her penultimate start and can go one better this time
    Summary: MADONE DU TRIEUX (10) is not easy to trust but did finish runner-up the only time she went under the saddle. She gets the vote to score. MELODY DE VIVOIN (8) has not been disgraced in both starts and should fight out the finish dropping down in grade. MANAMA D’ORLY (9) did run well in her penultimate start and has a winning chance on the back of this effort. MABROUKA GIRL (1) makes her debut and she did qualify in a good time so deserves respect.

    Summary: LOUMANAS (10) has disqualification issues but did win nicely enough at Rouen-Mauquenchy last time out and can follow up if she is in the right frame of mind. LLUNA DES BOSC (11) has the ability but is unreliable. She could be a threat if she keeps her stride in check. LADY D’ECOTAY (6) was in good form before a disqualification last time out so cannot be overlooked in a race of this nature. LITTLE ITALY (1) is in good shape and clearly not out of it.

    Summary: IVORINO D’ECHAL (9) won over this track and trip last month and could follow up but it is a competitive-looking race. IBILI D’OCCAGNES (5) remains in good shape and should be right there at the finish yet again. IMELDA (7) is capable of better than a recent course and distance performance and could bounce back and be a lively danger. IGOR DU PARC (6) is usually competitive in this division and has a winning chance in this line-up.

KABOTIN CHENEVIERE (7) is effective over these shorter distances and would not be a surprise winner. KISS YOU PIYA (9) is not easy to trust but can get involved with the finish if wise.

    Summary: LORD OF WIND (9) proved a disappointment last time out but is barefoot for the very first time and could bounce back to score. LEMON KING (10) has disqualification issues but runs with pads on all four feet and is also capable of winning. LITYGE DE CYM (7) was in good form before the last-start disqualification and can be a threat if smart. LOOPING DU PERRE (8) has been consistent of late and is another one who can given some consideration.

    Summary: KALINDA DU PARC (3) returns from a layoff but did win from the second row last time out over this course and distance. She can take out this lucky last race if fit from a break. KALISKANA (11) won nicely enough over this track and trip a week ago and will be a lively danger. KNITULIA (5) is threatening to score and is not out of it. KAGNOTTE D’AZIF (9) showed some improvement last month and is another to consider.

  3. CHARISMATIC CHICK – 7th in a handicap over 1300m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on January 21st on her last start and a win at Nimes in November before that over 1200m. Player
  4. RED TOO HOT – Two unplaced runs of late, 2nd before that over 1200m at Nimes on November 11th in a maiden race. Might find a few of these too smart
  5. EAGLE GATE – 5th last time out, 3rd before that over 1300m in a handicap at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on January 21st. One to pay attention too
  6. STELLAR CHOP – 2nd on the last run over 1500m at Marseille Pont De Vivaux in a maiden on November 25th. Needs a few to falter
  7. CLOSE COMBAT – 5th on his latest start over 1300m in a handicap on January 21st at Cagnes-Sur-Mer. Among the leading each-way chances
    Summary: MARKUS (1) could be the answer despite carrying top weight. He has shaped well on all of his starts and is lightly raced with a good bit more to come. He probably has the most to fear from CHARISMATIC CHICK (3) who won on her penultimate start at Nimes in mid-November and acquitted herself well in a handicap late last month over 1300m. EAGLE GATE (5) is one to respect and he should be on the premises. CLOSE COMBAT (7) heads the remainder.

  8. VARINKA – She seems out of form with several unplaced runs recently, the latest over 2150m in a Class 4 handicap on January 27th when well beaten. Hard to recommend
  9. MOUDIR – Recent winner over 2000m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 4 handicap on January 18th when last racing. He will give a good account of himself
  10. TERRE SACREE – Two unplaced runs since a 2nd at this track over 1700m in a Class 4 handicap on November 10th. Capable of making the frame
  11. BALAGAN – Two unplaced runs since a 2nd over 2000m at Marseille Pont De Vivaux on November 19th. Others make more sense
  12. LA PALOMBIERE – 5th on her latest start over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 4 handicap on January 27th. She is still a maiden after 18 runs and may have to wait a while
  13. LILY APPLE – Five unplaced runs since a 4th over 1600m at Cavaillon on August 25th in a Class 4 race. Needs to recapture her best form to be involved
  14. PRETTY WARRIOR – Ran well to be third three runs back at Deauville over 1900m in a Class 4 handicap on December 28th. She ought to be in the shake-up
  15. DE QUEVEDO – Back to form when 2nd at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 2150m in a Class 4 handicap on January 27th when last seen. Capable of a bold show
  16. ELUSIVE NELSON – Credible 5th over 2000m in a Class 4 handicap on her last start on January 18th behind MOUDIR (2). Among the leading each way chances
    Summary: DE QUEVEDO (8) returned to form when he was second at Cagnes-Sur-Mer late last month and is well handicapped. He is a marginal choice ahead of MOUDIR (2) who scored at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 2000m in mid-January and will be in a good frame of mind after that success. PRETTY WARRIOR (7) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. She has been supplemented for this race. ELUSIVE NELSON (9) is also worth considering.
