- PEPITO DES CARLES – Finished close up in 2nd spot over 2500m at Deauville in a Class 3 divided handicap on the 3rd of January 2025. Each way chance
Summary: AMARENA DODVILLE (5) has been super consistent without winning but seems to have bumped into the right opposition to get rewarded for a much deserved win. DSCHINGIS RANGER (1) started off his career on a winning note and hasn’t been too far off the action in recent times so is one that could go close. BIBBIENA (3) continues to improve with racing and her latest win could now set her on her way. DADDY JOY (2) brings steady form into this and should be in the shake up.

C7 – PRIX DE LA HAUTE POMMERAYE – 1900m (a1m1/4) – ALL WEATHER – Maiden Race – Flat – EUR € 27,000 - HAPPY HOURS – Finished 7th over 1600m at this track in January but made little impression. Hard to fancy and can therefore be ignored
- CHANTAL – Good debut when 4th over 1600m at this track in mid-December but followed up with a dismal 12th finish after that. Expected to redeem herself
- ANCOLIE – Was way back in 14th place last time and is impossible to fancy based on that alone. Plenty improvement required. Pass by
- CODICE – Only raced twice, finished 6th over 1900m at this track on the 17th of last month and has huge scope for improvement. Winning choice
- MAGNIFICENT SEVEN – Never improved at the second run when only 10th over 1900m and others should be way stronger for this one. Happy to ignore
- GIDLEIGH – Finished 9th over 1900m at this course on the 17th of January and will need to improve on that to feature. Prefer others until progression seen
- MY QUEEN – Huge scope to progress on excellent debut 4th over 1900m at this course on the 17th of last month. Big runner and a must for all bets
- MISS CLAVEL – Ran a huge race first time out when 2nd at Lyon La Soie over 1800m on the 9th of January. Bright winning chance
- LA FERRETCAPIENNE – She is taking a long time to win, finished only 8th last time over 1600m at this track and has more of a place chance than a winning one. Each way
- CICCIO GIRL – Never made any impression on debut finishing way back in 13th at this course over 1600m and would be a shock winner
- NEIADE – Has shown very little in two races thus far and will need serious improvement before being considered for any bets. Pass by
- KATANA DES ROCS – Finished 11th over 1600m at Chantilly on the 16th of last month, more needed and others are preferred
- GLAMOROUS BLEU – Is out of an unraced mare who was by Air Express and is by Invincible Army that might need a few runs to learn the trade. Watch the betting but unlikely winner
- SOCCER SISTER – Is by Havana Gold out of Soccer Mom who won twice. Once at Vichy and the other at this course. This debutante is from the Ferland barn. Chance
Summary: CODICE (4) is lightly raced and surely has tons more progression to offer and is therefore the firm first choice. Both her runs were at this track and both over 1900m. LA FERRETCAPIENNE (9) is taking an age to win the maiden and is also a tad erratic which makes her not the easiest to assess and predict but she has a place chance. CHANTAL (2) has a strong winning chance based on the good debut run. Respect and include in all bets. MISS CLAVEL (8) ran a cracker on debut finishing 2nd at Lyon La Soie and might go close.

- HELLO COTAI – Current form has been on the decline over various distances and venues and is therefore hard to like and can be ignored from all bets
- NATIONAL SERVICE – Ignore last run, finished 2nd over 1300m in penultimate start and based on that alone, will be able to go close to winning. Strong chance
- OZAN – Was a winner over 1300m in a Handicap at Dieppe on the 27th of August and followed up with a disappointing effort at this course but can do way better. Bright chance
- LOVE FOR LIFE – Finished 8th at Madrid over 1400m in November last year and should need a few runs to tighten up. Happy to ignore from all bets
- MARCUS AURELIUS – Caught the eye in local run when 4th at Deauville over 1400m albeit in a weak claiming race back in November and can race fresh and well. Big chance
- CITY OF HOPE – Comes into the contest fresh off a victory at Deauville over 1300m in a claimer race and can follow up. Big runner
- WELCH FUSILIER – Placed 5th over 1300m at Deauville last time and will need to serve up way more than that to feature here. Pass by
- DON NIKOLAOS – Last ran at Athenes over 1300m on the 29th of January when a winner. An outsider that could be the value for the places
- WILD CITY – Has won last two races, most recent being at Marseille Vivaux over 1500m in a Handicap and can reel off the hat trick. Bright chance
- BARGING THRU – Was a winner three runs back but has been disappointing thereafter and become hard to assess. Prefer others for the win and can be ignored from most bets
- ROCHELLE – Finished 7th over 1400m at this track in mid-January and can build on that but will need to for the win. Strong place claims
- SHEHNA – Has been running in tough Listed races in other countries and is a tad difficult to assess but on very best form, can be given serious each way claims
- BLUE EYED KATE – Placed 7th at Deauville over 1900m on the 3rd of last month and can get much closer now. Good chance
- HIGH VIOLET – She was back in 11th place at Southwell over 1200m in October and really needs to improve to feature and will surely need the run. Pass by
- KATUBA – Finished 4th last time when racing over 1500m in January but is making the local debut and more than likely will need a few to tighten up. Pass by
Summary: NATIONAL SERVICE (3) was a winner five races back over 1200m at this track in a Handicap and has been holding form since. Ignore his last run when downfield here over 1400m and plenty more can be expected today. OZAN (4) is a tad erratic, but on very best form, can be given strong place claims. WILD CITY (10) comes in on the back of two victories and can make three on the bounce. ROCHELLE (12) has a first four chance and is a must for the quartet.

- JAGDA – She has five unplaced runs of late, the latest over track and trip on December 2nd in a Class 4 handicap. Little to recommend

- MANDOKI – Won two starts ago over 2400m at Mulheim (DEU) on December 26th in a conditions race. Might find a few of these too smart
Summary: SECOND TO NONE (8) looks like the best prospect in this. He ran a solid race when third at this track last time out and is well drawn in stall 5. His main danger could be FORBIDDEN SECRET (11) who has a good racing weight and has plenty of track experience. His recent wins have been on the PSF at Cagnes-Sur-Mer last year. LIVING NELSON (4) was a nice second last time behind RIDWAAN (3) late last month and both of them can have a say in proceedings.

- LADIE SALSA – She has lost her form of late, 9th on her last run over track and trip on January 6th in a Class 4 handicap. Look for an alternative
- TICKLISH – Out of form of late, well beaten over track and trip in a Class 4 handicap on January 6th on her last start. Makes very little appeal
- SOIZIYA – Unplaced last time out, 2nd before that over track and trip in a Class 4 handicap on January 6th. One to consider each-way
Summary: OCEAN DIAMOND (2) has dropped in the handicap and was a decent third over track and trip when last seen late last month. He is the tentative selection in an open divided handicap. EXHIT (7) will do his best to keep him honest and was a narrow margin ahead of the selection recently and is better off at the weights this time. MANDLEFT (3) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. PUMPY GIRL (6) looks best of the rest.

- LILY OFTHE KINGDON – Good 2nd over 1800m at this track in a Class 4 handicap on January 22nd when last appearing. Ought to have a say
- SIR GARSING – Credible effort to be 2nd over track and trip in a Class 4 race on January 22nd. He is seeking his first win but warrants respect
- ESKANDANI – He got off the mark over course and distance on January 22nd in a Class 4 race and will be full of confidence after that success
- WALDLADY – Recent 3rd at Strasbourg in a maiden over 2000m on November 11th. Might find this a bit too much
- RIGHT ON FIRE – last time out, 4th before that over track and trip in a Class 4 handicap on January 6th. He has yet to win in 9 starts
Summary: HARRY GOLD (4) was a course and distance winner in November and was a decent third three runs back over course and distance in early December, if emulating those performances he can score from the likely main danger SIR GARSING (8) who although a maiden has been running with credit, with a pleasing second over track and trip in late January when last appearing. MISTER JULES (6) could be a sensible option for the each-way enthusiasts. LILY OFTHE KINGDON (7) is also worth a mention.

- MAGIC WAY – Two 2nd placed runs this year, the most recent over track and trip in a maiden on January 22nd. Seems to like this track and has place claims

- DEFULLY – Two decent-placed runs so far, 3rd on the latest over 1900m at Deauville in a maiden on January 17th. Live contender
Summary: DEFULLY (9) could be the answer to this open maiden. She has shaped with promise on both runs when placed on each of them at Deauville, on the PSF. Her last effort was when third in a big field of maidens in mid-January. She is preferred to FIUMICCINO (4) who was a nice second late last month on the PSF at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on his second start. INNAMORATO (3) can make the top-three. BLEKOU (1) heads the remainder.

- CLEOD’OR – Unplaced last time, 4th before that behind A CANNES (1) on January 6th in a Class 3 handicap over track and trip. Place chance
- ACCLAM – Nice run to be 3rd behind A CANNES (1) over 1800m at this track on January 6th in a Class 3 handicap. One for the shortlist

- ROI DE FLANDRE – Two 3rd placed efforts of late, the most recent over 1900m in a Class 4 handicap at Deauville on December 1st. Might find this difficult
Summary: BONHEUR BLEU (2) won by 1.5L when last seen at Pornichet in mid-December and will be expected to score on his first run at this venue. He likes the PSF and he could have the most to fear from ACCLAM (5) who knows his way around this track. A recent third in early January was a pleasing effort, A CANNES (1) won that race and with a penalty, it will be harder to confirm placings. CLEOD’OR (4) was back in fourth and ought to be thereabouts.

- REACH THE SKY – Unraced by Calyx, the dam never raced. From a respected trainer who will have this colt ready to go. Bold run expected
- REINE DE BLICQUY – Unraced filly by Chachnak, the dam won two races. Stable runners tend to need a run or two for experience. The betting can guide
Summary: This could go the way of the newcomer REACH THE SKY (8) who will be well-tuned for his debut and should be monitored in the betting market for clues. BO DADDY (5) has improved with each of his three runs, he was second at Toulouse in October when last seen and tries the PSF for the first time. SOLIWAY (2) ran with promise last time when fifth and looks like the each-way angle. SUNNY (3) makes up the shortlist.

Summary: WILLY WINNER (5) has been placed on his last five starts and deserves to get another win after a consistent run of form. He has the most to fear from LET THERE BE ROCK (1) who was a decent fourth at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on his latest start and is a previous course and distance winner. GLACIER PEAK (7) has a couple of unplaced runs since a win over course and distance in October last year and warrants respect. ZILYA (6) is also worth considering.
