R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX D’AIGUEPERSE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 51,000
- MARQUETY DE BAILLY – 4th of 9 to MARDOUK DE GODREL (9) in a Class A over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Is a colt of considerable potential and should not be underestimated
- MIRATISSIME – Encouraged under these conditions last month before being sanctioned in a Gr.2, also over track and trip, on 25 January. On this occasion also looks out of her depth
- MAGICO DE LOU – Sanctioned in a 2175m Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Is not entirely without merit but in this company will have too much to do
- MOSAIC LIFE – 4th of 10 in a Class A over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Unlikely to lose her maiden status but could still get a look-in
- MISTRAL DU GOUTIER – Reassuring 3rd of 9 to MARDOUK DE GODREL (9) in a Class A over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Sometimes bites off more than he can chew but is in his category and must be afforded respect
- MEMPHIS DE BRASSE – Drops to a more reasonable level after finishing last but one, a place behind MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (5), in Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel over track and trip a month ago. Is proven at this level and although unlikely to impose, can still make first 5
- MANASLU – Quality colt making first start since running 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Class A here on Christmas Eve. Has never finished out of first 2 and is not about to disappoint
- MONEGASQUE – Pulled-up after faulting early in Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson here last weekend. Has placed under these conditions at Gr.2 level and can make amends if Mathieu Mottier keeps her focused
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – Facile winner of a Class A over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Plainly a colt for the future and the hat-trick is not beyond his reach
- MAKE A DREAM – Sanctioned in Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel before running 4th of 5 finishers in a 2175m Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Won on lone association with Eric Raffin and, considering the entry, can confirm
Summary: Already a course-and-distance winner this year, MAKE A DREAM (10) is reunited with Eric Raffin after freshening up in Gr.3 Prix Léopold Verroken 3 weeks ago, and has every chance of bagging his biggest race to date. That being said, MARDOUK DE GODREL (9) made short work of the opposition here recently and Emmanuel Allard can be confident of another big run. MANASLU (7) has not been seen out for 2 months but is a classy colt with a bright future and makes his main-track debut with a good hand to play.

C2 – PRIX RMC (PRIX DE LARRE) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - JAZZ PASSION – Back under harness after running 4th of 10 in a 3150m Saint-Brieuc monte Class F 3 weeks ago and will have nothing to contribute
- VALLATONIAN – Was not out of the money when sanctioned in a 2850m Class C here on 30 January. Matthieu Abrivard gets the nod this time and could pleasantly surprise if he keeps him trotting
- STRIKING EAGLE – Unraced since coming 5th of 15, a place behind HUMANITY PELLINI (14), in valuable Sylvesterloppet over 2640m at Axevalla on New Year’s Eve. Has never disappointed when unshod-behind but others still preferred
- JORLANDO – Failed to complete the hat-trick when denied a run in a 2050m Agen Class E a fortnight back, coming 9th of 13. Won barefoot here early-January and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to set the record straight. Chance
- JOLICOEUR – Won Class E over course and distance a fortnight before coming 5th of 12 behind HASHTAG SIMONI (8) in a 2850m Class C here on 30 January. Has nothing to prove at this level and must be considered a player
- DOMINGO BAR – Has had time to recalibrate after running 7th of 15 behind DEMETRIO (7) in a 2850m Class D over inner course on 20 January. Races barefoot for just 2nd time and with application will be no easy touch
- DEMETRIO – Placed over inner track 10 days before finishing last but one behind HASHTAG SIMONI (8) in a 2850m Class C here on 30 January. Must not be hastily-judged though and should not be written off
- HASHTAG SIMONI – Reassuring 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Class C here 3.5 weeks ago. Drops in category and can win this time, provided Paul Ploquin keeps him out of trouble
- JASMIN D’AVE – Disappointing since turn of the year, latterly 16th of 17 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E late last month, and must get his house in order
- JAG HAUFOR – Unremarkable 8th of 16 behind JACKSON BOY (13) in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight back and will need to raise his game
- GLOBAL DUTY – Has not been seen out since finishing 7th of 8 over 2140m at Aby in early-December. Races barefoot for re-entry though, with David Thomain reining, but still not a concern
- JARDIN D’ERABLE – Unthreatening 12th of 16 behind JACKSON BOY (13) in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight back and is not about to shake things up
- JACKSON BOY – 5th of 16 in a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Raced better that day than the result would suggest and, barefoot again, can open his 2025 account
- HUMANITY PELLINI – Serious Scandi raider making Vincennes debut after running 4th of 15 in valuable Sylvesterloppet over 2640m at Axevalla on New Year’s Eve. Has a lot going for him here and can make a big splash
Summary: Nicely-entered close to the limit of earnings, JACKSON BOY (13) put in an excellent final effort here earlier this month; he will have progressed for the race, and should have the wherewithal to hold off HASHTAG SIMONI (8) who put on a good show here late-January despite a poor trip, and JORLANDO (4) who found himself without a path at Agen. HUMANITY PELLINI (14) races barefoot, with the champion driver in the bike, and will be no pushover if he takes to Vincennes conditions.

C3 – PRIX JACQUES MOREAU – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - EBRIUS (ITY) – Takes a big jump in category after winning over 2060m at Foggia on 6 February. Has never delivered when barefoot and is unlikely to start now
- RED D’OVER – 6th of 15 behind EL DORADO BAR (13) in a Class E over course and distance late last month. Encountered traffic problems that day but is barefoot this time and Pierre-Yves Verva will be keen to put things right. First 5
- ESPADA (ITY) – Looked ordinary when 10th of 15 behind EL DORADO BAR (13) in a Class E over course and distance on 28 January. Front shoes off this time and, if focused, can get back in the game
- MAN OF STEEL (GER) – Last of 6, on return to competition, over 2600m at Wolvega 9 days ago. Untried at the venue but races unshod behind, with Eric Raffin in the bike, and must not be overlooked
- ERES DORIAL MAIL – Sports a new configuration after running 7th of 15 behind EL DORADO BAR (13) in a Class E over course and distance late last month. More expected of him that day but is thoroughly capable of finishing closer this time
- KARAMEL JOYEUX – Back to preferred formula after coming an unexceptional 6th of 10 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E last weekend, but still has too much to do
- KER DE TOUES – Returns to 2700m after running 3rd of 13 in a 2100m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago, but a repeat seems most improbable
- ELON MAIL – Ran 2nd of 14 to EGUADOR (9) in a Class E over track and trip on 11 February. Was not the luckiest that day but can exact revenge if Matthieu Abrivard keeps him out of trouble
- EGUADOR – Achieved objective No.1 of 2025 when comfortably winning a 2700m Class E over course and distance 12 days ago. Faces marginally tougher test this time but still represents a leading contender
- EMPIRE AS – 5th of 15 behind EL DORADO BAR (13) in a Class E over course and distance on 28 January. Nicolas Bazire reining this time and others easier to back
- ECTOR ZL – Won 2 in a row before being sanctioned over a mile at San Siro on 19 January. Barefoot for the occasion, with Mathieu Mottier at the helm, but still no more than a minor place chance
- KEN DU POMMEREUX – 10th of 11 in a 2100m claimer here mid-January. Shoes on and will have nothing to offer
- EL DORADO BAR – 3rd of 15 in a Class E over course and distance, on first start for new stable, on 28 January. Will have found his feet and can again finish close
- OIS TSCHIKAGO – Versatile sort that won over 2400m at Straubing on return to competition on 7 February. Is untried beyond that distance but runs here on his merits and can play a leading role
- EMIRO CLEMAR – Last of 14 in a 2850m Class B here on 7 February. Front shoes off this time but still looks out of his depth
- KAMIKAZE – Decent dual-discipline type, and barefoot for the occasion, but will need to show marked improvement on recent 9th of 13 behind KER DE TOUES (7) in a 2100m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago
Summary: Comfortable winner of a similar event here recently, beating ELON MAIL (8) who was making his Vincennes bow that day, EGUADOR (9) has a decent chance of doubling up, but his compatriot is more competitively shod this time and can turn the tables. An excellent servant that made a triumphant re-entry at Straubing, OIS TSCHIKAGO (14) makes his French debut with a realistic chance of making it a successful one. EL DORADO BAR (13) left a good impression here late last month and will have progressed for the run.

C4 – PRIX DE PARIS – AMERIQUE RACES – 4150m (a2m1/2) – Gr1 Race – Harness – EUR € 400,000 - IDOLE DE MEAT – 9th of 12 when preparing for this in a 2700m Class B here on 7 February. Goes barefoot this time but still has too much to do
- JIOSCO DE PHYT’S – 8th of 9 in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 19 January. Sports front pads this time and can be ruled out
- IROISE DE LA NOE – Won Prix de Belgique with authority before being sanctioned when going well in Prix d’Amerique late-January. Has been wisely-campaigned and can wrap this up if Thomas Levesque keeps her trotting
- HIP HOP HAUFOR – Last in Prix de Cornulier before repeating in Prix de France 2 weeks ago and can be confidently disregarded
- JUSTIN BOLD – Going well when sanctioned in 2100m Gr.1 Prix de France here a fortnight back. Untried over the day’s distance but is clearly in form and ignored at one’s peril. Attention
- GRACE DU DIGEON – Last but one finisher to JOUMBA DE GUEZ (10) in 2700m monté Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier here on 19 January and has no possible chance
- FAKIR DE MAHEY – Showed his limits when 13th of 16 finishers in Prix d’Amérique late last month and will struggle to make his presence felt
- IT’S A DOLLARMAKER – Makes first appearance since running 9th of 18 in Prix d’Amérique on 26 January. Thrives with Eric Raffin but no more than a minor place chance
- IDEAL LIGNERIES – Honourable but unthreatening 7th of 13 behind INMAROSA (12) in 2100m Gr.1 Prix de France here earlier this month but will appreciate this longer distance and will have his supporters
- JOUMBA DE GUEZ – Terrific winner of 2700m monté Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier here on 19 January. Boasts serious but less-exalted harness references, although in current form is easy to like for a spot in the mix
- JOSH POWER – Has not been seen out since running 4th of 18 in Prix d’Amérique on 26 January. Won Gr.1 Criterium des 5 Ans last time reined by his trainer and looks a serious proposition
- INMAROSA – Defied her 21/1 odds when 2nd of 13 in 2100m Gr.1 Prix de France here earlier this month. Pleased on lone appearance under these conditions and has a realistic chance of finishing in the thick of things
- HUSSARD DU LANDRET – Ran 5th in Prix d’Amérique before faulting in Prix de France a fortnight ago. Back under conditions he appreciates, is barefoot as he was in 2024, and has a realistic chance of pulling off the double
- AMPIA MEDE SM – Respectable 6th of 13 in 2100m Gr.1 Prix de France here 2 weeks ago. Won this race in 2023 but has not been particularly sharp this winter and has a lot more to find
Summary: Still fresh aged 7, IROISE DE LA NOE (3) was outstanding in the Belgique before getting on the wrong side of Lady Luck in the Prix d’Amérique; she is as tenacious as they come though, will not be bothered by the trip, and can secure the first Gr.1 of her career. She will however be up against last year’s chrono-breaking winner HUSSARD DU LANDRET (13) who can repeat if focused, and classic-winning JOSH POWER (11) who finished a place ahead of him in the Amerique. Runner-up in 2024 and recently re-energised in the Prix de France, INMAROSA (12) must be taken seriously.

C5 – PRIX CITIZEN KID (PRIX D’EPINAY) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - LUNA HAUFOR – Missed out on the hat-trick when runner-up to LIBERTE DE CHOISEL (2) in a 2850m Class D late-January. Unlikely to turn the tables but can still make the frame
- LIBERTE DE CHOISEL – Superb winner of a 2850m Class D on Vincennes debut late-January. Has tasted defeat just the once and Anthony Barrier will be eager to keep it that way
- LUCIOLE DU VERTAIN – 8th of 9 in a 2175m Class B here on 11 January. Has had time to recuperate but still has too much to do
- LUNA D’ARNHEM – Got off the mark [at 17th time of asking] in a Class D over course and distance on 2 February but appears to be taking on too much this time
- LIBERTY JOSSELYN – Would have finished closer had 4th of 7 behind L’ETOILE D’URSIN (9) in a 2175m Class C here 12 days ago had she not hung in the final stages. Improbable winner but still a respectable first-5 chance
- LONG LEGEND – Honest filly that ran a respectable 5th of 7 behind L’ETOILE D’URSIN (9) in a 2175m Class C here 12 days ago. Entrusted to Eric Raffin for first time but looks no more than a minor place prospect
- LORENE D’AVEZE – Oddly below-par 6th of 7 behind L’ETOILE D’URSIN (9) in a 2175m Class C here 12 days ago. Barefoot this time however and JMB will be keen to put things right. Chance
- LADY QUEEN – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 9 in a Class A over course and distance last August. Shoes on and will need the race
- L’ETOILE D’URSIN – Pleasant 3rd of 8 in a 2175m Class C here 12 days ago when first-time barefoot. Shoes off again and can finish in the mix once more
- LINNA DE VANDEL – Got back in the winners’ enclosure after lifting a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Races first time barefoot and, given the entry, will be no soft touch
Summary: There are numerous fillies in contention for what looks a very interesting affair, but it is hard to ignore how well LIBERTE DE CHOISEL (2) imposed here late last month. LUNA HAUFOR (1) ran a decent second to her that day and can again figure prominently, but may first have to see off the talented LORENE D’AVEZE (7) who is barefoot for the occasion.

- KANTO AVIS – A runner-up in a Group 2 at this track over 2700m on 9 February. Not reliable but does have the ability to go one better this time
Summary: YAHOO DIAMANT (7) was impressive at this track earlier this month and Yoann Lebourgeois will give him every chance of scoring again. KANTO AVIS (13) is not as reliable as the selection but did well at this track earlier this month and would not be a surprise winner. IMMORTAL DOC (9) was not far off them in a Group 1 last time out and demands respect. EDGAR SABA (6) is usually very competitive and also has a winning chance.

- INSHORE – Finished 10th in a Harness class A at this track over 2100m on 8 February. Returns to under the saddle and has solid claims at the win
Summary: INSHORE (9) is clearly more at home under the saddle so the recent harness races are forgiven. He should make a bold attempt at beating these rivals. HEURISTIQUE (4) always gives of her best and will not go down without a challenge for top honours. GO OR NOT (8) has been very good of late and has a winning chance. GREAT TIGRESS (7) is not as reliable but she has won two of her last four starts and Eric Raffin will be right there at the finish. Summary: KILFRUSH MEMORIES (6) was a decent fourth on his penultimate start over 1400m at Saint-Cloud in mid-November and can get back in the winner’s enclosure. PIERRE PREMIER (4) is a threat and could be the one that makes the selection work hard for success. He will be in a good frame of mind after a win at this track earlier this month. - LAVIE ENROSE ATHON – Nice win over 2950m at this track on February 1st in a conditions race on debut. Can follow up

LIBELLIA ANTIQUE (4) will do her best to make life difficult for the selection. She has experience and solid form. MANSSOURIO (2) has recent form over course and distance earlier this month and looks like the main threat to the selection. JENA BAIE (5) is one for the each-way backers to take seriously. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN (7) is also worth a mention.

- ESCOUBLAC – Unraced gelding by Whitecliffsofdover, the dam won one race. Watch the betting for any support
Summary: KENCHAK (3) has shown enough ability to take a race of this nature. He has been fifth on his last two runs, the latter over 1900m at Deauville in late December on the PSF. Back on turf and up in trip should be more suitable. JO FRANCAIS (6) seemed unsuited by the PSF at Pau last time and should also appreciate the return to race on grass. He ran with promise on debut last year when second. SARAMO (9) has a nice profile and is one to watch on debut, as is MARTIN’S DENUO (8).

- MADJOULY – Unraced by It’s Gino, the dam was placed over hurdles. One to watch in the betting market for any support
Summary: AMAZORE (8) showed ability on her three runs so far, her debut on the turf was arguably her best when she was third at Le Mans last October. Back on the turf after two spins on the PSF, she is given the vote ahead of LA BOBRIDE (5) who showed promise on her sole start over 2000m at Strasbourg in early October. NEUF DE PAQUES (13) is one to look at in the betting market, she has a nice profile and could be smart. SOL MARIE (10) is another to consider on debut.

- L’EQUIPE DE CHOC – Unraced filly by Doctor Dino, the dam never ran. She has a choice profile and is one to keep a close eye on in the betting market
- CLOTH OF SEA – Unplaced on the last two runs, the latter over 3400m at Angers on her hurdles debut on December 7th. Best watched for now
- EUFRASIA – Fell two from home when starting to run on her one run over 3500m at this track on February 1st in a Class 4 race. She did show enough to suggest she could be on the premises with a clear round of jumping
Summary: LUEUR DU LARGE (9) made a pleasing start to her career when she was third over track and trip earlier this month in a Class 4 hurdle. She will know what is required this time and can use the benefit of that run and edge this from LASCAR D’ESTRUVAL (3) who is making her debut. She will be well-schooled by her trainer and is one to watch in the betting. L’EQUIPE DE CHOC (11) has a nice pedigree and is worth a market check. FLORENTIN (1) makes up the shortlist.

Summary: KAPSA (12) ran a reasonably good race over fences at Dieppe when last seen 9 months ago. She will be fit and should appreciate the drop in class after racing in tough Class 1 and Class 2 events at Auteuil last spring. Her main danger could be KING OF SAINTLY (3) who was fifth at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 hurdle in December on his latest outing. CELTIC JABAAR (2) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. REILLINGARRY (5) looks best of the rest.
