- DI BAHIA – Dam was unraced and this filly makes very little appeal on paper and could likely need the experience. Trainer isn’t known for debut winners
Summary: DARKAVA (5) has produced two pleasing performances to date and looks ready to strike. She could be hard to oppose. YENKA (3) showed up well at her latest outing in Spain and makes her French debut with scope for further improvement. ANOTHER COUNTRY (8) is a newcomer who wouldn’t need to be too special to make her presence felt and warrants respect if the market vibes are positive. ANNA MARLY (4) can only show improvement after a rather uninspiring debut run.

ILDOUCEFLECHOIS (5) won very well at this track in November and can be expected to run another huge race despite the rest. HEAVEN CITY (10) comes into the race in fine form and can be right there at the finish again. He needs to prove himself on soft going but is a must for all bets. CARNIVAL QUEEN (2) can be forgiven for her last run, goes well on the soft and has solid claims.

- CHAI D’OEUVRE – Taking time for the win but is getting closer with each and every run. The victory is inevitable. Finished 2nd at Pau over 2000m last time. Huge chance
- ULTRASOUND – Will need to progress on last run when only 8th at Toulouse over 2400m in a Handicap on the 2nd of October last year. Would surely be in need of the run
- CADE’S – Ignore last run, form before was fair enough to warrant an outside place chance. Placed 2nd over 2000m at Toulouse in penultimate run. Place chance at best
- PLATEADO – Taking time for next win, finished only 8th at Pornichet over 3100m last time and others should be way stronger. Happy to ignore from all bets
- SPEEDY RECORD – Ignore last run when only 11th, was a winner before that at Pau over 1600m and can be factored into all bets based on that alone. An outsider that has claims
- AGAMEMNON – Current form has been on the decline over various distances and will need to do way more than last run when 12th at Mont-De-Marsan. Capable but off form
- REMIX – Comes into the race fresh off a victory over 2000m at Toulouse and could certainly follow up. Good chance
- ZOKOA – Finished way back in 12th place at Pau over 2000m on the 18th of last month and would be a huge shock if winning

Summary: KOLPLET (1) showed last time when finishing 3rd at Chantilly over 1900m in a Handicap that he is still a force to be reckoned with in the Handicap classes and can be given a bright winning chance. CHAI D’OEUVRE (8) is showing that the first win is near as he is getting closer with each run and must be taken very seriously. MANNE (3) boasts consistent form currently and was victorious three starts back over 2400m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer. She should enjoy this track. KRUNGTHEPMAHANAKON (2) races in a Handicap for the first time and must be followed.

- L’AMBASSADEUR – Lost his action in a Class B over course and distance on 17 February. Is competitively-shod for first time and, already a winner here, must be taken seriously
- LEADER DU CHATELET – Won over 2650m here late-January before running 3rd of 8 finishers in a Class B over course and distance on 17 February. Has taken his game to a new level and is expected to take all the beating
- LAUTREC TURGOT – Reassured at Cagnes prior to faulting in a Class B over course and distance on 17 February. Shoes off this time though and the draw will only work to his advantage. Place chance
- LATINO BEJI – Never far from faulting but ran a reassuring 2nd of 12 to LOOKING SIXTY ONE (8) in a 2700m Class D at Lyon-La Soie 3 weeks ago. Handed a good draw and even though in better company, can still make first 5
- LOVI CADENCE – Back under harness after running 4th of 10 in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class C on 8 February. Steps back in category and from the 5-spot is unlikely to be far from the action
- LE MAGNIFIQUE DJOC – 4th of 8 finishers, a place behind LEADER DU CHATELET (2), in a Class B over course and distance on 17 February. Unlikely to cause an upset and a minor place chance at best
- LOU D’ECROVILLE – Heads south again after having been sanctioned early in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 17 February. Showed her form that day but still cannot be considered a priority
- LOOKING SIXTY ONE – Complicated sort that easily won a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class D 3 weeks ago. Has won 2 of 3 racing right-handed and will be no easy touch
- LEADER OAKS – 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class D 3 weeks ago. Sanctioned in all 3 Saint-Galmier starts though and better options available
- LITTLE UP – 6th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class E at Lyon-La Soie 10 days ago. Unremarkable on the whole and can be confidently disregarded
Summary: Winner here late-January before running 3rd under these conditions recently, LEADER DU CHATELET (2) enjoys a good spot behind the car and can impose this time. David Bekaert will be reining his own LOOKING SIXTY ONE (8) in place of the Huguet-trained gelding and could well complement his Lyon-La Soie success. Unshod behind for the first time, L’AMBASSADEUR (1) has a point to prove, as does LAUTREC TURGOT (3) who races barefoot for the occasion.

C2 – PRIX SAINT-ETIENNE LA METROPOLE – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - HARKANSAS DE L’OZE – Faithful trotter making first appearance since running 2nd of 11 in a 2600m Parilly amateurs Class G early-December. Shoes on and no threat

- IMAGIOUS DE VANDEL – Has not been seen out since running 7th of 12 behind INSTINCT DE VETRE (6) in a 2300m Borely Class F on 24 October. Hind shoes on this time and will pose no danger
- HULK DU SABLIER – Back under harness after faulting in a monte Class F over track and trip on 17 February. Won penultimate start here but would be preferred at a lower level
- JYPSON KALOUMA – Failed to confirm excellent January performance when sanctioned in a Class F under these conditions on 17 February. Is clearly in fine shape though and, with application, should have the measure of the field
- INSTINCT DE VETRE – Sanctioned when unsupported in a Class F over course and distance on 17 February. Shoes off this time but still seems to be taking on too much
- INDEX D’YVEL – 9th of 16, on re-entry, in a Class F over course and distance on 17 February. Races barefoot this time but out of the picture in last 4 here and will have few friends
- IRISH SONG – Has raced just once since September, coming 8th of 12 in a 2550m Bordeaux Class E 2 months ago. Is not easy to knock when barefoot though and will generate interest
- JADE MAJOR – Starts for first time since coming 6th of 12 finishers in a 2700m Class E at Lyon-La Soie on 11 January. Has never disappointed here and, barefoot for the occasion, must be afforded respect
- HELMA DE BUSSET – 3rd on re-entry before winning a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class E 10 days ago. Incurs the penalty here but still looks competitive for a cheque
- JUST D’ERONVILLE – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a 2850m Parilly Class A mid-November. Shoes back on for comeback and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- JEDI DES BROUETS – Very good 2nd of 10 in a 2600m Class D here on 17 February. Excels at the venue and even from the back row, can make a big splash
- IGGY ROCK – Close 3rd of 14 in a 2950m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago. Is new to the venue, and starts on back row, but is not to be ruled out
- HAKA – Hardy type making first appearance since being sanctioned in a Class F under these conditions on 12 December. Front pads fitted and even from back line is not incapable of getting a look-in
- ILIANO DES PLAINES – Ran 2nd over 2025m here on 25 January before running 5th of 9 over track and trip a week later, but returns to racing barefoot and has a realistic chance of making the frame
- HARLEQUIN – Quickly sanctioned in a 2700m Class F at Lyon-La Soie 3 weeks ago. Enjoys a terrific entry though and Pierre Callier will be eager to take advantage. Place chance
Summary: Just headed in late-January, JYPSON KALOUMA (5) showed his form after being sanctioned here 3 weeks later; he breaks in front and will be able to wrap this up provided David Bekaert manages to keep him trotting. Principal opposition will come from the second line, notably from the Saint-Galmier-loving JEDI DES BROUETS (12) who reassured last month, and the wonderfully-engaged HARLEQUIN (16) who ran 2nd here during the autumn when barefoot. ILIANO DES PLAINES (15) has never disappointed here when unshod and runs barefoot as he did at the end of January.

- IZZIA HIGHLAND – Sanctioned in a 2150m Toulouse Class F a month ago. Is clearly capable though and racing barefoot should prove key to her redemption
- JO DE L’ETANG – Surprise 3rd of 14, on re-entry, in a 2675m Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne Class E last Sunday. Occupies a top spot behind the car and must be taken seriously
- JASMIN DE LA COUR – Would have finished close in 2 February race of reference had he not been blocked. Will have been kept on the boil and Jonathan Cuoq will be keen to put things right
- JARODE PAULOIS – Blows hot and cold but ran reassuring 2nd of 11 in a 2750m Toulouse Class F on 31 January. Straight is shorter at Saint-Galmier but he must still be considered a player
- JANGA DU BELLAY – Inherited victory of a 2650m Class F here on 2 February. Is unbeaten when barefoot here and will be expected to bring the fight to JURQUES (8)
- JURQUES – 4th of 12 in a 2750m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago, on just 2nd start back. Takes a dip in category and with David Bekaert in the bike must be considered a leading contender
- JUST AN EAGLE – 6th of 14 to JANGA DU BELLAY (7) in a 2650m Class F here on 2 February. Shoes on this time and has no possible chance
- JAMBEROO – Has not been seen out since running 2nd of 16 to JEWEL DU VERNET (11) in a 2650m Class H here late-November. Handed a tough draw but still has the wherewithal to pick up some prizemoney
- JEWEL DU VERNET – 6th of 12 in a 2550m Bordeaux Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Has won twice at the venue but under these conditions will struggle to make much impact
- JADE D’ALLIGNY – Mixes the good with the less good but 4th of 14 to JANGA DU BELLAY (7) in a 2650m Class F here on 2 February. Was not blessed in the draw-stakes though and a repeat seems improbable
- JUST ORLANDO – 10th of 14 behind JO DE L’ETANG (4) in a 2675m Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne Class E last Sunday. Shoes off this time but still looks an outsider on Saint-Galmier bow
- ILLUSTRATION ECLAT – 10th of 14 on comeback in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class D 10 days ago. Barefoot on this occasion but would still be preferred at a lower level
- ITALIO DE LA ROQUE – 8th of 13 finishers in a 2700m Class E at Lyon-La Soie 3 weeks ago. Still being conditioned though and is of no concern
- JUST DO IT FOR ME – Starts for first time since finishing last but one in a 2825m Parilly Class B last October. Will be race-rusty, must contend with a shocking draw, and a minor place chance at best
Summary: Runner-up on comeback early last month, JURQUES (8) went on to finish well at Toulouse 10 days later and despite a wide draw can impose. Situated just to his inside, JANGA DU BELLAY (7) recorded a Class F victory here last time out, has had ample time to recover, and is unlikely to disappoint. Unlucky behind her that day, JASMIN DE LA COUR (5) can figure prominently if kept out of trouble. IZZIA HIGHLAND (3) has bagged a good spot in front and although having placed just twice in 7 starts at the venue, she is barefoot for the occasion and can play an active role.

- KASHMIR DU GERS – Sent for a rest after completing the hat-trick in a 2750m Nimes Class E on 17 November. Shod for comeback though and best to hold off
- KALINE DU CORTA – Returns to a venue she appreciates after being sanctioned in a 2700m Class F at Lyon-La Soie on Monday. Can begin to redeem herself but would be preferred barefoot
- KID PADDLE – Imposed here late-January before repeating, with authority, 2.5 weeks later in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F. Thrives with David Bekaert reining and the 3-timer is well within reach
- KENJY DE LA VALLEE – Fast-finishing 3rd of 14 in a 2150m Cagnes Class E on 22 January. Not ideally-drawn but did impose last time when barefoot and must be taken seriously
Summary: KID PADDLE (13) may have been handed an unappealing draw but he has got the new season off to a flying start and has a decent chance of securing his first hat-trick. That being said, KOOL CRISTAL (6) is better off on the front row and his latest effort bodes well for his chances. Forced to start on the rail this time, KONOR HIGHLAND (1) will have come on for his re-entry run must be considered a serious player. Although shod as he was at Vincennes, KHEOPS AIREMME (3) is otherwise very hard to fault and, ideally-positioned behind the car, is not about to let the side down.

C5 – PRIX DES ARUMS – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class F Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 22,000 - HASTIFER – Disappointing at Lyon-La Soie prior to finishing last of 8 behind IDAGANI POINT ONE (2) in a 2000m amateurs Class G here on 17 February. Runs barefoot this time but still not a priority
- IDAGANI POINT ONE – Has done nothing but improve since returning to competition, latterly 2nd of 8 in a 2000m amateurs Class G here on 17 February. In a better field this time but from the 2-spot can get in on the action
- JOAO DE VANDEL – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 7 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class D late-November. Has previously placed here but runs for reasons of conditioning and others easier to back
- HERNANIE DE GODREL – 7th of 14 in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 24 January. Is significantly better than that though and it is just a question of time before she comes good again. First-5 chance
- ISOLEE DU BOUILLON – Sprang a 59/1 surprise when 3rd of 11 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 20 February. Should be at peak fitness by now and is sufficiently well-positioned to impose this time
- JOIE DE BERTRANGE – By no means disgraced when 6th of 14 in a 2150m Toulouse Class D a fortnight ago. Is not the easiest of horses to handle but starts in front here and with application can pick up a place cheque
- HEURE BLEUE – Excellent servant that missed out by the smallest of margins in a 2750m Toulouse Class F 3.5 weeks ago and should be able to wrap this up if Tamara Mathias-Maisonnette keeps her focused
- IDEE SHANNON – Courageous 7th of 11 finishers behind ISOLEE DU BOUILLON (5) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 20 February. Solid in last 2 here and at this level can compete for a place on the podium
- JAISY DE CONROS – Makes first appearance since finishing modest 9th of 12 in a 2650m Class H here late-November. Shoes on and can be passed over
- JAMES RULES – 9th of 16 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class E 3 weeks ago. Is still in conditioning-mode though and best to wait
- IZIA NINI – Capricious mare that finished 6th of 12 in a 2850m Hyeres Class F 3.5 weeks ago. On 2nd row but can get in on the action if she replicates her penultimate performance
- JOY JELOCA – 3rd of 12 finishers in a 2650m Class F here on 17 February. In tougher company this time, and not ideally-drawn, but is barefoot and not to be ruled out
- JENJOY MAYBE – Failed to pull off the Lyon-La Soie hat-trick when 7th of 16 in a 2700m Class E there 3 weeks ago. Likes Saint-Galmier but would be preferred with front shoes off
- INTEL – Out of the picture in both return runs, latterly last of 10 in a 2700m Class D at Lyon-La Soie 10 days ago. Shoes back on and would be better-served by racing at a lower level
Summary: Barring her Montauban blip, HEURE BLEUE (7) has been very hard to knock for some time and makes her Saint-Galmier debut with a realistic chance of making it a victorious one. Somewhat better-placed on the front line, ISOLEE DU BOUILLON (5) left a good impression at Vincennes two weeks ago and looks the main danger. In the middle of those two, JOIE DE BERTRANGE (6) raced better at Toulouse last time than the result would suggest. IDEE SHANNON (8) has been handed the widest berth but imposed last time here and appears to have a good hand to play.

C6 – PRIX DES CAMELIAS – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000 - LAZZARO THE BEST – Has not been seen out since coming 4th of 16 in a 2000m Lyon-Parilly Class F mid-December. Shod competitively for first time and can win this if he takes to new profile
- LADY DU CORTA – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2050m Feurs Class E last September and is going to need the run
- LILIBETH TURGOT – 7th of 12, on first start back, in a 2650m Marseille-Vivaux Class E on 10 February. Has no right-handed references but runs barefoot again and is not to be underestimated
- LE GRAND ZAMPANO – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2150m Cagnes Class E 12 days ago and is not about to cause an upset
- LITTLE OAKS – Showed a different side to himself when successful in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F 3 weeks ago. Is new to the venue but with form maintained is unlikely to be far off the mark
- LOUISETTE FLEURY – Won here in November and most recently confirmed in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F on 26 January. In better company this time but is plainly on the right trajectory and can confirm
- LYNX DES BROUETS – Sanctioned in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class E in late-January. Did however win smartly here in November and from the front row will be no pushover
- LORENZO D’EVA – Complicated type that ran 2nd of 12, on first start back, in a Class F over course and distance early last month. David Békaert in the bike this time and can finish close if he keeps his charge focused
- LOLITA DE JEMAX – Has turned a corner since starting to run barefoot, latterly 4th of 11 to L’ETOILE DE PAME (16) in a fillies-only Lyon-La Soie Class E 10 days ago. Has the colts to contend with and the extra 25m will do her no favours
- LOOSER ROMO – Looked very ordinary when last but one, a place behind LEVIATHAN SANTMIXO (13), in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class E 10 days ago, and has no possible chance
- L’ARTISTE DERONFIN – Back under harness after winning a 2625m monte Class E at Paray-le-Monial 2.5 weeks ago. Shoes on though and not a priority
- LOLITA D’ECOTAY – Won a Class F over course and distance, at 34/1, on 2 February before being sanctioned in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class E 3 weeks later. 25m worse off this time and chances limited
- LEVIATHAN SANTMIXO – Returns to a track he appreciates but will need to improve on comeback 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class E 10 days ago
- LEEROY DU PADOUENG – Rewarded with victory in a 2575m Agen Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Forced to start on back line this time however and others preferred
- LEXUBERANDS – Undefeated in 3 starts and although unraced since March 2024 is not to be overlooked, even from the back row
- L’ETOILE DE PAME – Won a 2700m fillies-only Lyon-La Soie Class E 10 days ago. Faces a tougher test this time but benefits from a fine entry and can play a small part
Summary: Front-row starters appear to have a lock here with the returning LAZZARO THE BEST (1) unshod-behind for his seasonal re-entry. He may have no right-handed references but considering the promise he has shown, he is marginally preferred to LOUISETTE FLEURY (6) who takes a notable step up in category after imposing in Lyon last time out. Surprisingly-good on his comeback here early last month, LORENZO D’EVA (8) enjoys a fine entry and from the front line will be competitive. LITTLE OAKS (5) faces a tougher task than he did in Lyon recently and, barefoot again, can play a leading role.

C7 – PRIX DES JONQUILLES – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 20,000 - KERMARIA DE VAL – Last of 12 behind KALINE LAURA (8) in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F 10 days ago. Disappointing since the turn of the year and and can be passed over
- KISS ME DU RIL – Debuts under the saddle after 2 straight harness sanctions, most recently a 2725m Lyon claimer last week, and will have few friends
- KECOU DE VILLABON – Unraced since running 5th of 9, a place behind KARAYAN DES IRIS (11), in a 2700m harness Class F at Lyon-La Soie early-November. Has yet to show much aptitude for the code but is not devoid of ability and will be worth keeping an eye on
- KEDRIA – Quality element that was sanctioned in last 2, latterly when going well in a 2625m Agen Class E on 10 February. Is plainly useful in the discipline and should finish close if she stays in stride
- KEBIR JOLI – 5th of 12 behind KALINE LAURA (8) in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F 10 days ago. Shod as he was when 3rd at Lyon late-January and will be one to watch
- KANNIBAL LEKTOR – 9th of 11 finishers in a 2625m Paray-le-Monial Class F when prepping for this 2.5 weeks ago. Starts in front and, already confirmed in the code, can challenge for a first-5 spot
- KRYSTAL DE BERAR – Makes just 2nd appearance under the saddle after coming 7th of 9 in a 2700m harness Class F at Lyon-La Soie a month back. Is confirmed here under harness and will have his supporters
- KALINE LAURA – Ran solid 2nd of 13 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F 10 days ago. Incurs the penalty but in current condition is easy to like for a step on the podium
- KENYA D’HERFRAIE – Unsurprisingly sanctioned, on ridden debut, in a 2675m Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne Class F last Sunday and can be confidently disregarded
- KOKA DE MALAC – Last but one on re-entry in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F last week but is otherwise hard to knock when focused. Already a ridden winner here and with shoes back on can play a prominent part
- KARAYAN DES IRIS – Easy winner of a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F a fortnight ago. Is behind in earnings and even from the back row looks the horse to beat
- KALIE D’URSIN – Heavily-campaigned mare that was sanctioned in a 2850m Mauquenchy harness Class E a fortnight back. Has done nothing of note since December 2023 and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- KADEO JOSSELYN – 8th of 9 finishers in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie harness Class E late-January. Pleased under the saddle when in training with JMB and, if applied, can make a big splash
Summary: Although a tricky character at the best of times, KARAYAN DES IRIS (11) has nevertheless shown significant aptitude for the ridden code and, given the nature of his recent victory, confirmation would be no surprise. KADEO JOSSELYN (13) showed potential under the saddle last winter and returns to the code with a good hand to play. KEDRIA (4) has nothing to prove in this category and can more than make amends for a brace of sanctions if Clément Frecelle keeps her trotting. KALINE LAURA (8) has just passed the earnings threshold for a front-line start but she showed her form last time out and will justifiably garner support.

C8 – PRIX DE LIGNIERES – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - MISTIGRI LOUANGES – Opened his account at Lyon-La Soie, beating MIMI WILLIAMS (7), before coming 3rd of 7 finishers in a Class D over track and trip on 17 February, and is the obvious main threat to Thierry Busset’s filly
- MY GIRL – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2925m Cagnes Class C a week ago, and others easier to trust
- MADISON ATALANTE – Returns to racing left-handed after coming 2nd of 4 finishers in a 2925m Cagnes Class E a fortnight ago. Ideally-drawn on front line and although unlikely to impose, can still figure prominently
- MYSTIC MAN – Last of 7, following a spirited start, behind MISTIGRI LOUANGES (1) in a Class D over course and distance on 17 February. Has already won at the venue though and, with his mind on the game, will have a leading role to play
- MIDORIYA DU BOURG – Returns to the provinces after finishing last of 8 in a 2200m Vincennes monte Gr.3 mid-February. Has ability but others still easier to back
- MONSEIGNEUR – Has climbed the category ladder in good order, latterly 4th of 7 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class C on 30 January, and must be considered a contender
- MIMI WILLIAMS – Never troubled when winning a 2025m Class F here early last month. Has earned the right to step up in category and has every chance of repeating
- MANHATTAN GABINLEA – Ran 3rd at Agen prior to coming 5th of 10 in a 2150m Toulouse Class C 3.5 weeks ago. Consistently gives his best and once again looks a respectable first-5 prospect
- MOON TURGOT – 2nd to MYSTIC MAN (4) on debut before running 4th of 12 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F 10 days ago. Takes on a better lot this time and the draw will not help matters. Minor place chance at best
- MAILLE MUSTARD SOX – Sanctioned on debut 2.5 weeks ago in a 2625m Class G at Paray-le-Monial and will need to show a different side
- MYSTERE DES MARES – Won at the first time of asking but sanctioned in a Class D over course and distance on 17 February, and will struggle to make his presence felt
Summary: Solid first time out before comfortably winning over shorter here early last month, MIMI WILLIAMS (7) should have no issues with the longer trip and can double her money. MISTIGRI LOUANGES (1) had her measure in Lyon late-January and his recent course-and-distance performance augurs well for his prospects of contesting the finish. MONSEIGNEUR (6) left a good impression in better company last time out and will be compeiuttive for a place in the frame, as should the nicely-positioned MYSTIC MAN (4) who must not be hastily-condemned for his latest run.
