C1 – PRIX DE BLAIN – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 18,500
- MELIE LUMALO – Set off no fireworks in qualification a month back, posting 1’20”0 at Laval, and can expect to have her work cut out
- MISS IBIZA – Qualified in 1’20”1 at Laval in July 2024. Market will guide
- MUSCATE – Qualified in 1’16”9 here on 11 February and if as good in competition, could pleasantly surprise
- MYRCIA – Sanctioned in both to date, most recently a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Alexis Collette at the helm this time but others still easier to back
- MISS TAVEL – 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind MANILLE D’ERABLE (7), in a 2225m Vire Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Has more to find though and is unlikely to shake things up
- MISS DE LA FERME – 7th of 11, on first start for 2.5 months, in a 2275m Nantes Class F 12 days ago. Will have come on for the run but still not the easiest to recommend
- MANILLE D’ERABLE – 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2225m Vire Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Steps up in category but with the champion driver reining is unlikely to be far off the mark
- MY QUALITA PIYA – Produced career-best performance when 4th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 11 February. Not the easiest to handle but has shown ample promise and can play a leading role if she takes to the new profile
- MIBORA BUISSONAY – Confirmed solid qualification when 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2275m Nantes Class F on 18 February. Goes the other direction on this occasion but was sufficiently convincing last time to be considered a player once more
- MEDEE DU VIVIER – Unsure of stride when 7th of 10 behind MONNAIE DE VIETTE (11) in a 2575m Class F at Saint-Brieuc on 24 January. Has been afforded ample time to recalibrate and with Gabriele Gelormini in the bike will be afforded every chance
- MONNAIE DE VIETTE – Pleased on re-entry at Saint-Brieuc before being sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago. Reliability may be in doubt, but ability isn’t, and can win this if she stays in stride
- MONIA VERDERIE – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 4th of 9 in a 2275m Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago. Is untried racing clockwise but in current form is hard to ignore
- MANUREVA DE HOERDT – 2nd of 8 on debut in a 2850m Laval Class F a month ago. In a similarly good lot this time and can again make the frame
- MY DESTINY QUEEN – 2nd at Angers on 12 January prior to running 7th of 11 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E a fortnight later. Benefits from a good entry and, if focused, can make first 5
Summary: Although sanctioned at Graignes after having put on a good show at Saint-Brieuc, MONNAIE DE VIETTE (11) returns to racing right-handed and Yoann Lebourgeois will be keen to put things right. They will still come under pressure from MY QUALITA PIYA (8) who has shown a lot of potential, and MANUREVA DE HOERDT (13) who did everything right on her recent racecourse debut. MANILLE D’ERABLE (7) is plainly an improving filly and the engagement of Eric Raffin’s services will do her prospects no disservice.

C2 – PRIX DE MONDRAINVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 18,500 - LADY MONA – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2675m harness Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel last May. Front pads fitted but is still going to need the race
- LODIVA D’AUVILLIER – Switches code for first time after being sanctioned in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc harness Class G 2.5 weeks ago and seems to have nothing to contribute
- LOUVE DU RELAIS – Starts for first time since finishing 8th of 10 in a 2875m Argentan harness Class G on 11 January and will need to show another side to herself
- LULU DES LOUANGES – Complicated individual that was sanctioned on monté debut in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 23 February. Shoes off this time but can nevertheless be confidently disregarded
- LARIANA CLEVILLE – Unseen since coming 5th of 7 finishers, a place behind LIVIA DES LANDES (7) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 7 December. Will have progressed for the run but still no more than a minor place prospect
- LEA MADJI – Made it 2 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc harness Class G on 2 February. Yet to dazzle under the saddle and even though reconfigured, is unlikely to spring any surprises
- LIVIA DES LANDES – 10th of 12 finishers behind LIZETTE DE VAU (11) in a 2425m Angers Class F late-January. Cannot be considered a priority but has decent monte credentials and could well pick up a cheque
- LITTLE ECLIPSE – Makes just 2nd appearance in the discipline, latterly finishing last of 9 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 23 February. Barefoot as she was when imposing under harness at Argentan and should not be entirely ruled out
- LALIGA DEL PHEDO – Placed in last 2 starts under the saddle, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 23 February. Takes on a marginally better lot this time but should still play an active role
- LYRIC – Lost her action early in a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Is proven in the discipline and Anthony Barrier will be intent on putting things right. Place chance
- LIZETTE DE VAU – Sanctioned when clearly on form under the saddle at Chateaubriant a fortnight before running 6th of 16 in a 3000m Nantes harness Class F on 18 February. Sports a new formula and will be expected to figure prominently
- LITTLE GIRL – Last but one on comeback in a 2850m Mauquenchy harness Class E a fortnight ago. Pleased under the saddle here last spring, Clin stable currently in top form, and looks a serious proposition
- LICORNE DE LA JOIE – Capricious but capable type returning to the ridden discipline after faulting early in a 2700m Vire harness Class F last Sunday. Shoes fitted this time and not a concern
- LUNE D’OPALE – Unraced since having been quickly sanctioned in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on New Year’s Day. Barefoot for re-entry but appears to have no possible chance
- LIBERTINE DE CHENU – Like a horse reborn since early last month, latterly 2nd of 11 in a 3000m Nantes harness Class E 12 days ago. Is barefoot for monte debut and, if applied, can make this her own
- LADY DU PAOU – Sanctioned in a 2700m Graignes harness Class E 3 weeks ago after having run 2nd there under the saddle on 12 January. Ideally-entered and can make first 5 if Alexis Collette keeps her mind on the game
Summary: Nicely-entered close to the limit of earnings and quite evidently in excellent condition, LIBERTINE DE CHENU (15) takes her first competitive steps under the saddle, races barefoot, and with Benjamin Rochard in the irons can get straight down to business. Fourth over course and distance on her lone monte appearance, LITTLE GIRL (12) has a race under her belt, runs unshod-behind for the first time, and the Eric Raffin-factor cannot be ignored. LYRIC (10) is considerably better than recent numbers would suggest and the new configuration may be just the ticket. Tricky she may be but LIZETTE DE VAU (11) has shown ample potential and sports front pads for the first time.

C3 – PRIX DE VENOIX – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - KORIGANE D’ERABLE – Serious mare that ran 8th of 13 behind KATINKA COTON (6) in a 2850m Laval Class E conditioner on 15 February. Is a quality mare with form at the venue and looks the pick of the field
- KEY WEST DE CHENU – Imposed at Angers prior to running 3rd of 14 in a 2625m Agen-Le Passage Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Can prove a handful but is hard to knock when focused and looks a serious player on Caen bow
- KASSIOPEE DREAM – 4th at Graignes on 3 February before coming an unlucky 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E a fortnight later. With a clear path, and form maintained, can make a big impact from the 3-spot
- KAMA D’EM – Sent for a break after imposing over course and distance last October, latterly 10th of 12 finishers on re-entry in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E a fortnight ago. Hard to ignore when barefoot from the 4-spot. First 5
- KRISSA DE MORGANE – Sanctioned in 5 of last 6, most recently a 2700m Vincennes Class E last week. Is by no means without merit though and it is only a matter of time before she comes good again. Minor place chance
- KATINKA COTON – Ran 2nd at Vincennes before repeating in a 2850m Laval Class E mid-February. Starts in front, is hard to knock when barefoot, and can finish in the mix if she runs to her value
- KATOUCHKA – Handy sort making first appearance since finishing 9th of 16 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D last September. Hind shoes off for the occasion but others still easier to back
- KALINE DJOB – Failed to confirm good Argentan effort when 6th of 13 behind KATINKA COTON (6) in a 2850m Laval Class E mid-February. Has yet to make her mark at the venue and is unlikely to start now
- KALI DES LANDIERS – In the frame in 3 of last 4, most recently close 2nd of 17 in a 2875m Argentan Class E a month ago. Has begun to show a liking for racing clockwise and although not an obvious choice, she can still play a small role
- KELLE BLEUE – 2nd of 9 finishers in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Reverts to a previous formula but still has too much to do
- KASANE DU BISET – Pleasant winner of a 2725m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago. Is new to the venue but still boasts decent clockwise credentials and is not to be underestimated
- KAROLINE CADE – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2825m Cordemais Class E conditioner last week and is not about to spring any surprises
Summary: Sent for a 4 months’ break after running second here last October, KORIGANE D’ERABLE (1) did everything right on her re-entry run, has been reconfigured for her return to racing right-handed, and looks to have a realistic chance of opening her 2025 account. That said, KEY WEST DE CHENU (2) has returned to her best and will not be easily disposed of, and neither will the well-placed, and barefoot, KAMA D’EM (4) who was an impressive winner here last autumn. Tom Debost would have preferred a better draw but KASANE DU BISET (11) won well at Graignes last month and should again be competitive for a place in the frame.

C4 – PRIX DE DOUDEVILLE – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 18,500 - LEXIE D’ERONVILLE – Ran 2nd at Argentan before coming 6th of 15, a place behind LILYROSE WIND (6), in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 18 February. Is an honest filly though and will be expected to hold her own
- LELLAMIKA – Unraced since faulting in a 2850m Vincennes Class E late-November. Is not without merit but will need the race
- LADY VICTORY – Last but one finisher behind LILYROSE WIND (6) in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 18 February. Nicely-placed behind the car, is shod as she was at Angers, but no more than minor place prospect
- LA BELLE JAMINI – Ran 7th of 15 behind LILYROSE WIND (6) in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 18 February. Seems more at home racing right-handed and looks considerably more competitive here
- LILOU – 8th of 10 in a 2875m Argentan Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Shoes off for the occasion and has been handed a decent draw but has no particular love for Caen and others preferred
- LILYROSE WIND – 5th of 15 in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 18 February. Went close under these conditions during the autumn and must be taken seriously
- LA DESIRADE – Got straight down to business on recent comeback, winning a 2425m Angers Class F late-January. Starts wide and takes on a marginally better bunch here but still has the wherewithal to challenge for the win
- LA FOULE – Unbeaten filly making first start since dominating a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel last June. Is not here for conditioning reasons and has the class to extend her unbeaten run
- LIAISON MESLOISE – Starts for first time since coming 3rd of 12 in a 2450m Class E here last September. Has masses of ability and although not a priority on comeback, is still worth monitoring
- LOUISIANE – Delicate filly making first start since faulting in a 2200m Vincennes Class E early-November. Hind shoes off for first time and will be no pushover if Yoann Lebourgeois manages to keep her trotting
- LISADORA – Unraced since coming 6th of 8 finishers to LILOU (5) in a 2725m Graignes Class F on 30 December and has nothing going for her here
- LANDE D’ERABLE – Won first 2 before running lacklustre 7th of 9 finishers behind LILOU (5) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 19 December. Has had time to recalibrate but the draw is unlikely to help her cause
- LA MOME DE CAHOT – 3rd at Angers on 25 January re-entry, a fortnight prior to coming 2nd of 16 in a 2800m Argentan Class F a month ago. Fitted with pads for the first time and even though not ideally-positioned, can still play an active role
Summary: LA FOULE (8) may not have been seen out since last June, and has been handed a wide draw, but she is plainly a very talented filly who runs unshod-behind for comeback and, if race-fit, will take all the beating. Julien Dubois will still be keeping a watchful eye on her front-line neighbour, LA DESIRADE (7) who imposed at Angers on her return from a break, and LILYROSE WIND (6) whose last 2 provincial runs went notably well. Already a winner this term, LA BELLE JAMINI (4) is back to racing clockwise and unlikely to disappoint.

C5 – PRIX DE BIEVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 27,000 - JUJUBEE – Makes first start for new stable after being sanctioned in a 2050m Class D at Lyon-La Soie on 20 January. Runs barefoot but is unlikely to be given a hard race
- JOSEPHA CHOUP – Makes Caen bow after having come 2nd of 13 in a 3000m Nantes Class E 12 days ago. Clearly on the right trajectory and with front shoes off this time is unlikely to be far off the mark
- JIL – Dogged 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes monté Class C on 20 January. Here for a change of scenery though and can be written off
- JARYCA – Fine servant making first appearance since comfortably winning a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 11 January. Afforded ample time to recover and has a reasonable chance of making it 2 on the trot
- JEREMICE MERITE – 5th of 11 in a 2625m Class E at La Rochelle last Sunday. Unlikely to score her first for 14 months but is still good enough to make first 5
- JOY JENILOU – Makes Caen debut after running 7th of 16 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago. Can trot on a good day and Gabi Gelormini gets the nod. Outside place chance
- ICONE PLANCHETTE – 7th of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes amateur Class G a fortnight ago. Barefoot this time but is still taking on too much
- JOIA DU CITRUS – Sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class C on 31 January. Has been off her porridge for past 3 months and, even though reconfigured, must first reassure
- JUVAMINE RENARDIER – Quality mare returning to a track she likes after finishing 7th of 12 in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class D on 11 February. Is better than that result would imply and deserves to be taken seriously
- JADE RENARDIER – Won 2 of last 3, most recently a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 9 February. Is a tough nut when barefoot and should take all the beating
- ISIA DU CHENE – 6th of 14 in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class D 11 days ago. Won her only Caen start though and will be no soft touch if Paul Ploquin manages to keep her focused
Summary: Very hard to fault at present, nicely-entered, and already twice a winner racing clockwise, JADE RENARDIER (10) makes just her 2nd start at the venue and has a reasonable chance of securing her third of the year. Anthony Barrier will be justifiably concerned though by the presence of JARYCA (4) who has been a model of consistency for some time, and the terrifically-engaged ISIA DU CHENE (11) whose latest result is not indicative of her ability. As comfortable going left-handed as right-, JUVAMINE RENARDIER (9) is back under harness, has placed twice in 3 here, and looks best of the rest.

C6 – PRIX DE FONTENAY – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000 - JUST BUILT – 7th of 10 behind JACKPOT DE JUMILLY (6) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 2 February. Has decent clockwise references, and in less-exalted company this time, can get in on the action
- JACK FOULONIERE – 6th of 8 finishers behind JAFAR DE FAEL (3) in a 2100m Vincennes claimer 3 weeks ago. Won his only start at the venue though and must not be overlooked
- JAFAR DE FAEL – Steps back up in category after running 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes claimer 3 weeks ago. Is not about to cause an upset but is sufficiently well-placed to get a look-in
- JEAN DES GLENAN – Back under harness after running 6th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot but is here for a change of scenery and others preferred
- JUSTIN DES MARAIS – Unseen since finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class E mid-December. Races shod and will have few friends
- JACKPOT DE JUMILLY – Courageous 5th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 2 February. Is not about to get his nose in front but can still compete for a place on the podium
- JASPE – On a decent run of form over recent months, latterly 4th of 14 in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 22 February. Yet to make his mark at Caen but in present shape is easy to like for a minor place cheque
- JUST DE LA MORTRIE – Quality element returning to racing clockwise after finishing last of 10 behind JACKPOT DE JUMILLY (6) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 2 February. Is in his category though and despite the wide draw must not be underestimated
- JET NONANTAIS – Returns to a track he appreciates after losing his action in a 2700m Vincennes Class E early last month. Entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois for the occasion and will be expected to contest the finish
- JULIAN DARK – Makes Caen debut after finishing an honourable 6th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class F a month ago. Cannot be considered a priority but, with front shoes off, will be worth monitoring
- JOURNAIO DU ROI – Lost his action early in a 2400m Amiens Class E 12 days ago. Has bags of ability but appears to have lost his way and must first reaffirm his credentials
- JOKER BODENSEE – Unraced since running 6th of 16 behind JE VIENS DU SUD (13) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E late-October and will need the outing
- JE VIENS DU SUD – Has not been seen out since finishing 11th of 17 behind JACKPOT DE JUMILLY (6) in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 10 December. Shoes on and no threat
- JERRY BOY – 9th of 13 finishers, on return to competition, in a 2900m Challans Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Still being conditioned and chances limited
- JEROM BUTTERFLY – Good campaigner that was surprisingly sanctioned when heavily-backed in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 22 February. Gabriele Gelormini would have preferred a better draw but still looks a leading contender
Summary: Although out of the picture in his last two in Paris, JET NONANTAIS (9) returns to racing right-handed, has never failed to fire at Caen, and even though unfavourably-drawn, can still win this. It will not be all plain sailing though considering how well the poorly-positioned, but on-form, JEROM BUTTERFLY (15) has been acquitting himself over recent months. Shod as he was when 2nd at Bordeaux, JUST DE LA MORTRIE (8) can put his Vincennes blip behind him and even though shod, should be taken seriously. JACKPOT DE JUMILLY (6) consistently gives his best and placed on his lone association with Eric Raffin.

C7 – PRIX D’AUBIGNY – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class G Race – Mounted – EUR € 25,000 - I AM MAJYC – 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F last week. Has placed just once in 4 here though and chances seem limited
- JOYAU DE JANZE – 4th of 7 finishers on re-entry in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 20 January. Seldom out of the picture when applied, won his only Caen run and, shod as he was that day, looks a respectable first-5 prospect
- JERIKA DE KERYANN – Good, consistent mare that ran a valiant 3rd of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class E a month ago. Always gives her best and will give a competitive account provided Estelle Croisic keeps her focused
- JADE DU CEDRE – 5th of 7 finishers on re-entry, a place behind JOYAU DE JANZE (2), in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 20 January, but still needs to take her game up a notch
- JALOUSIE MAZA – 11th of 15, on first start since last autumn, in a 2850m Laval harness Class E mid-February. Has talent in spades, imposed on lone Caen start, and can make her ridden bow a winning one
- JAMBIER – Back under the saddle after running 10th of 11 in a 3000m Nantes harness conditioner 12 days ago. Solid in both monte races to date and has the class to win this
- JAVA WIC – Serious mare that finished last but one, on re-entry, in a 3000m Nantes harness Class D 3 weeks ago. Boasts a superb monte record and is eminently capable of lifting this
- HEPAX SPEED – Has not been seen out since finishing 10th of 14 in a 2750m Pornichet harness Class F mid-August. Shoes on and not a realistic proposition
- JADE DU PARC – Disappointing of late, most recently sanctioned early in a 2700m Class D a month ago. Is not easy to oppose when focused though and her Caen record speaks for itself. Place chance
- JACK DES MALBERAUX – Sanctioned in all 3 this term, latterly a 2700m Vincennes Class D a month back. Enjoys a super entry, with Anthony barrier in the saddle, but others still preferred
Summary: Given time to recalibrate after ending last season on a modest note, the talented JALOUSIE MAZA (5) takes her first competitive ridden steps and if ability transitions, can impose at the first time of asking. A veritable metronome and barefoot for her first objective since last June, JAVA WIC (7) has never disappointed in this branch of the business and is not about to start now. JAMBIER (6) has demonstrated considerable aptitude for the discipline and is barefoot with a good hand to play. JADE DU PARC (9) is better off in the provinces and Benjamin Rochard will be hoping to put things right.

- INKA DU VIVIER – Has not been seen out since dominating a 2800m Cholet Class F late last April. Has bags of talent but races shod this time and best to wait
- FIRST LADY BLEUE – Last of 8 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class D early last month and has nothing to contribute
- HAS DE COEUR – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2900m Amiens Class E 3 months ago. Front pads fitted this time but still not more than a minor place prospect
- IRIS DES ROSEAUX – Makes first start since winning a 2400m Amiens Class D last September. Has won 2 of 3 here, enjoys a win-rate to envy, and from the front line will be no easy touch
- GATSBY WIC – Has not been seen in public since coming 9th of 15 in a 2650m Cordemais Class D last October. Shoes on and no danger
- KATAKI DE WALLIS – Sent for a break after running 7th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 last October. Hails from a yard currently going good-guns and must be considered a contender
- FELICITA D’ECOUVES – 11th of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class D a week ago. Races barefoot this time but has been a write-off this winter and will have few takers
- KEEN WINNER – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 on 19 January. Pleased on lone clockwise start and even racing shod, still looks good enough to finish in the mix
- HISA DU MARGAS – 10th of 14 on re-entry in a 2100m Vincennes Class C 11 days ago. Is barefoot for the occasion, will have progressed for the run, and should not be ruled out
- EQUEJUELO – Disappointing of late, latterly sanctioned when unsupported in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 25 January. Has won twice at the venue but with pads fitted is not about to extend that tally
- HAWAI PONT VAUTIER – Ran 2nd at Bordeaux before faulting, when running in for a cheque, in a 2150m Toulouse Class D on 18 January. Benefits from an excellent engagement and must be afforded respect
- GOLD MENCOURT – Last of 11, on return from a lengthy layoff, in a 2700m Vincennes Class B 3 weeks ago. Appears to be race-rusty and arguably best to hold off
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – Given a rest after running 4th of 16 in a 2100m Vincennes Class A early-December. Is new to the venue but has decent right-handed references and is not incapable of defying the handicap and making a big splash
- IZOARD VEDAQUAIS – Unseen since running 6th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes Gr.1 last June. Usual driver in the hot-seat and despite the distance penalty, can still bring home the bacon
Summary: A high-class trotter with nothing to prove at this level, IZOARD VEDAQUAIS (15) has not been seen out since last June. He sports just hind shoes for the occasion but still has a reasonable chance of kicking the year off victoriously. Benjamin Rochard will still be justifiably wary of co-back-row starter IBIKI DE HOUELLE (14) who excels with Eric Raffin. A Gr.2 winner last summer, KATAKI DE WALLIS (7) makes his first start since October, but is shod to preference and the 25m head-start will only work to his advantage. IRIS DES ROSEAUX (5) is barefoot for his return to the track, adores Caen, and is not about to let the side down.

Summary: KASSIOPEE DU NOYER (5) is not reliable but did run well when fourth last time out and back against her own sex she gets a narrow vote to score.
