  16. HENRY THE LION – Finished 4th over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 5th of February 2025. Include in all bets
    Summary: ZAHYANA (6) had an excellent 2024 having won twice and placed on a number of occasions. She returns off a layoff but could be ready to rock and roll and is one of the leading lights. HENRY THE LION (16) slots in with a nice galloping weight and has been running to a useful level which should see him being a huge threat. AZOV (2) has been running against a touch weaker but has the right form and can have a say. RISING BLAST (8) has won his last two and goes in search off a hat-trick as he steps up in trip and he will be a huge challenger.

    Summary: AUDUBON PARK (3) set the tracks alight on debut and this filly could be absolutely anything. She is open to huge improvement and could be a smart sort in the making. SOCCER SISTER (6) was also a debut winner who showed lots of courage to get the job done and she would have no doubt learnt plenty from that experience which will hold her in good stead going forward. OUT OF AFRICA (4) has performed extremely well throughout her career and should deliver a solid effort. MISTRESS (8) showed good improvement to shed her maiden tag and could earn a cheque.

  37. DIYAA – Pleasing effort in 3rd over 2000m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a claimer on the 23rd of February 2025. Big runner
  38. MAGNIFICENT SEVEN – Dismal effort in 10th over 1900m at Chantilly in a maiden on the 7th of February 2025. Would be a shock winner
    Summary: GYP SEA (8) returned to winning ways with a fluent victory and with her confidence restored, she could repeat the dose. DIYAA (13) has been holding form ever since her win three starts back and comes into this with a slight pull at the weight with the reopposing, LOUIS DEUX (1) who showed lots of courage to get his head in front last time out and needs to be respected once again. BENGALE (2) remains a maiden but has been close up and is likely to deliver a solid performance.

    Summary: MARHABA YA SANAFI (2) has been running against stronger in Group company and will appreciate this drop in class. He makes his seasonal reappearance and could go very close. LAZZAT (4) tried his chances in Hong Kong last time out but failed to fire up. He returns to French soil where he is unbeaten 6-6 and could return to winning ways. SHORT FINAL (6) could be one to pick up the pieces if the top two fluff their lines but looks a place hope. VERTBOIS (5) is running well at present and shouldn’t be too far off the action.

  48. SANGRE DE DRAGO – He was victorious at his last start which was over 1300m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on the 12th of last month. Big chance
  49. ACTO – Lightly raced, placed 3rd over 1800m at Lyon La Soie on the 16th of December last year. Can race fresh. Has a chance
  50. HE TOUCHED ME – Is very consistent, placed 2nd over 1600m last time and is confidently selected to go one better. Winning chance
  51. SI SEULEMENT – Lightly raced, finished 5th over 1900m at Deauville last time and is a must for the quartet
  52. HAZA – Finished 6th over 1500m at Deauville last time in a Handicap and can do way better. Place chance
  53. MONARCH HUNZA – Form is a tad erratic, was way back in 12th place last time and would be a shock winner. Hard to like
  54. MON COMEDIEN – Will need to build on overall form, placed 8th over 1600m last time and far prefer others. Happy to ignore
  55. TAKE ME I’M YOURS – Finished 5th at Deauville on the 29th of November last year and might need a run or two to tighten up. Pass by
  56. MEYUDINE’K – She will need to progress on last run when 13th at Chantilly over 1900m in a Handicap. Place chance at best
  57. KEN D’ARZ – Placed 6th over 1600m in a Handicap on the 7th of February at Chantilly and will need to do more to feature
  58. TARMAK – Was a winner three races back over 2150m at Lyon La Soie but form thereafter has been dismal. Prefer others
  59. KING RETURN – Current form has been on the decline over various tracks and distances and is therefore hard to make a case for. Pass by
  60. MINO GALESTE – Ignore last run, was 4th over 1900m at Deauville before that and can feature in the finish. Bright chance
  61. SISSI IMPERATRICE – Finished a fair 4th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on the 12th of last month over 1600m in a Handicap and can place. An outsider with a say
  62. ANCOLIE – She has shown little in three runs thus far and will need to improve a lot to feature. Placed back in 11th at Chantilly last time
  63. MARIE DE PRUSSE – She will need to do way more than last run and overall efforts to feature here and would be a huge shock if placing. Pass by
    Summary: Consistent HE TOUCHED ME (3) has placed five from five, finishing 2nd over 1600m last time and is confidently selected to go one more. SANGRE DE DRAGO (1) comes into the race fresh off a win at Cagnes-Sur-Mer and can follow up. He is a big runner. ACTO (2) boasts some useful form and has to be taken seriously for all bets. HAZA (5) has a chance of getting into the first four.

  66. MYSTIC – Won on the 23rd of January over 2500m at Deauville in a Handicap and has ever chance of following up. Each way chance
  67. RIMBAULT – Posted an attractive 4th place last time when racing at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 2000m in Handicap class and can win
  68. ALGECIRAS – Holding form, finished 5th over 3200m last time and can make the presence felt at the finish. Quartet chance
  69. ELOISE – Finished 5th at Durtal on the 26th of January and 13th before that. Will need serious improvement to threaten
  70. VRUMPEA – Hard to assess, finished 2nd at Pornichet in her penultimate start but placed 14th after that. Happy to ignore
  71. BIRDSONG – Placed five times from six starts and is a big runner. Finished 5th at Parislongchamp on the 1st of September last year. Might need, but can earn

  77. FLORY DU NINIAN – Lightly raced and is difficult to predict how she will perform. Placed only 9th last time and 3rd before that. Very small, outside place chance at best
  78. KELPIE – She was way back in 11th last time when racing at Chantilly over 1900m in a Handicap and others are preferred. Pass by
  79. FIRST CREATION – Comes into the race fresh off a victory at Mont-De-Marsan over 2540m in a Handicap and has huge claims again. Good chance
    Summary: RIMBAULT (4) is the horse they have to fear the most. He was a very good 4th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer last time over 2000m in a Handicap and was a winner in late November. Firm first suggestion. MYSTIC (3) is a two time winner with the most recent victory coming at his last start and if he were to follow up, it would be no shock at all. JOEY UP (2) is taking time for the next win but has a huge place chance. Confirmed in this division, BIRDSONG (8) has first four claims and is a must for the quartet.

  82. BONNIE HOPPS – Her current form has been really disappointing and she is showing very little and therefore is hard to make a case for. Ignore from all bets
  83. HERMEVILLE – Placed 9th at Pornichet over 3100m on the 20th of last month which was a better effort but plenty more than that needed to place here. Pass by
  84. MANDOKI – Was only 7th over 2150m at Lyon La Soie on the 7th of February in a Handicap and will need to do more for the win
  85. VOILA POURQUOI – Much better run last time when 4th over 2400m and can be expected to get much closer now. Serious place chance
  86. BONNY WAY – Low rating, battling for next win and finished 12th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer last time. Happy to ignore
  87. GOOD QUESTION – Is not giving any right answers currently and will need serious progression to feature in the first half of the field. Pass by
  88. TREVOR SENORA – Best effort last time for some time when 2nd over 2400m at Lignieres and can place again. Respect and include
  89. ROCHEUX – Ignore last run, finished 4th over 2400m at Craon before that and has an each way chance
  90. BELLE – Was way back in 14th place last time at Deauville and will need to improve plenty on that to threaten here. Pass by
  91. HADLEIGH – Never too far adrift the action, placed 4th over 2400m in a Handicap on the 10th of last month and can earn again. Fair chance
  92. LIBERTE CHERIE – Was victorious when tried at Lignieres over 2400m on the 16th of February and could certainly follow up. Big chance
  93. LADYSHOW – Is showing very little ability and is battling to win the maiden. Placed way back in 11th at Agen last time and will be at huge odds
  94. PRINCE SHALAA – Will need to improve on current form and can. Last run was at Chantilly over 1900m in a Handicap when near the back of the field
  95. GOT FROST – Managed a 9th place finish at Pornichet on the 6th of last month but overall form is weak. Pass by
    Summary: AVERNESS (1) looks the best in this weak race, having finished 2nd over 2600m at Marseille Borely in the middle of last month over 2600m in a stronger Handicap. The firm first selection. ROCHEUX (10) can be expected to serve up way more than he did last time and is best to be judged on earlier form. Strong place chance. LIBERTE CHERIE (13) passed the line in front last time over 2400m at Lignieres and can follow up. PRINCE SHALAA (15) can do better than he has been recently and can provide some value for the quartet.

  100. FAMILIAR – Will need to serve up way more than latest 7th place at Chantilly over 1900m in a Handicap. Others are preferred
  101. DREAMS – Can build on latest 5th place at Cagnes-Sur-Mer and must be factored into the quartet. Fair chance
  102. MR CASSIOPE – Winner of his last start which was at Agen over 1850m on the 23rd of February and could get into the action again. Small claims
  103. IRTYCH – Good effort when 3rd at Chantilly over 1900m last month and should give another very good account of himself here. Bright chance
  104. ZILRAK – Is holding form recently, was a winner at penultimate race and finished 4th at Chantilly last time. Good chance and a must for all bets
  105. BELLE DE SABA – Fair 5th finish at Cagnes-Sur- Mer over 2150m in early February and should be one of the leading contenders. Strong claims
  106. WINDJANA – Placed 11th over 1800m in a Handicap at Lyon La Soie last time and will need to do plenty more than that to feature
  107. BE A LORD – Current racing efforts have been on the decline over various distances and is hard to fancy and make a case for. Pass by
  108. MISS WHITE SOCKS – Very good attempt last time when running 2nd at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 2150m and should be in the mix again. Strong place chance
  109. STORMY NIGHT – Comes into the race off a victory over 2000m at Lignieres but back in November last year. Can race fresh and well
  110. WALDKAUZ – Finished 6th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over 2150m in a Handicap last time but earlier form is uninspiring. Pass by
  111. EASTERN STAR – Very erratic, finished way back in the field last time when 12th over 2150m in a Handicap and would be a surprise winner. Pass by
    Summary: MISTER PRESIDENT (1) is holding his form, placed 3rd at Toulouse over 2000m last time in a competitive Handicap and rates the one to be with on the back of this effort. BELLE DE SABA (10) goes the distance, finished a fair 5th at Cagnes-Sur-Mer last time and can go close. Bright chance and a big danger to the first choice. MEHLANGO (2) has a solid claims of running into the first four. IRTYCH (8) placed last time and has a huge chance of getting into the money again.

  1. MELIE LUMALO – Set off no fireworks in qualification a month back, posting 1’20”0 at Laval, and can expect to have her work cut out
  2. MISS IBIZA – Qualified in 1’20”1 at Laval in July 2024. Market will guide
  3. MUSCATE – Qualified in 1’16”9 here on 11 February and if as good in competition, could pleasantly surprise
  4. MYRCIA – Sanctioned in both to date, most recently a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Alexis Collette at the helm this time but others still easier to back
  5. MISS TAVEL – 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind MANILLE D’ERABLE (7), in a 2225m Vire Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Has more to find though and is unlikely to shake things up
  6. MISS DE LA FERME – 7th of 11, on first start for 2.5 months, in a 2275m Nantes Class F 12 days ago. Will have come on for the run but still not the easiest to recommend
  7. MANILLE D’ERABLE – 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2225m Vire Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Steps up in category but with the champion driver reining is unlikely to be far off the mark
  8. MY QUALITA PIYA – Produced career-best performance when 4th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 11 February. Not the easiest to handle but has shown ample promise and can play a leading role if she takes to the new profile
  9. MIBORA BUISSONAY – Confirmed solid qualification when 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2275m Nantes Class F on 18 February. Goes the other direction on this occasion but was sufficiently convincing last time to be considered a player once more
  10. MEDEE DU VIVIER – Unsure of stride when 7th of 10 behind MONNAIE DE VIETTE (11) in a 2575m Class F at Saint-Brieuc on 24 January. Has been afforded ample time to recalibrate and with Gabriele Gelormini in the bike will be afforded every chance
  11. MONNAIE DE VIETTE – Pleased on re-entry at Saint-Brieuc before being sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago. Reliability may be in doubt, but ability isn’t, and can win this if she stays in stride
  12. MONIA VERDERIE – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 4th of 9 in a 2275m Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago. Is untried racing clockwise but in current form is hard to ignore
  13. MANUREVA DE HOERDT – 2nd of 8 on debut in a 2850m Laval Class F a month ago. In a similarly good lot this time and can again make the frame
  14. MY DESTINY QUEEN – 2nd at Angers on 12 January prior to running 7th of 11 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E a fortnight later. Benefits from a good entry and, if focused, can make first 5
    Summary: Although sanctioned at Graignes after having put on a good show at Saint-Brieuc, MONNAIE DE VIETTE (11) returns to racing right-handed and Yoann Lebourgeois will be keen to put things right. They will still come under pressure from MY QUALITA PIYA (8) who has shown a lot of potential, and MANUREVA DE HOERDT (13) who did everything right on her recent racecourse debut. MANILLE D’ERABLE (7) is plainly an improving filly and the engagement of Eric Raffin’s services will do her prospects no disservice.

    Summary: Nicely-entered close to the limit of earnings and quite evidently in excellent condition, LIBERTINE DE CHENU (15) takes her first competitive steps under the saddle, races barefoot, and with Benjamin Rochard in the irons can get straight down to business. Fourth over course and distance on her lone monte appearance, LITTLE GIRL (12) has a race under her belt, runs unshod-behind for the first time, and the Eric Raffin-factor cannot be ignored. LYRIC (10) is considerably better than recent numbers would suggest and the new configuration may be just the ticket. Tricky she may be but LIZETTE DE VAU (11) has shown ample potential and sports front pads for the first time.

    Summary: Sent for a 4 months’ break after running second here last October, KORIGANE D’ERABLE (1) did everything right on her re-entry run, has been reconfigured for her return to racing right-handed, and looks to have a realistic chance of opening her 2025 account. That said, KEY WEST DE CHENU (2) has returned to her best and will not be easily disposed of, and neither will the well-placed, and barefoot, KAMA D’EM (4) who was an impressive winner here last autumn. Tom Debost would have preferred a better draw but KASANE DU BISET (11) won well at Graignes last month and should again be competitive for a place in the frame.

    Summary: LA FOULE (8) may not have been seen out since last June, and has been handed a wide draw, but she is plainly a very talented filly who runs unshod-behind for comeback and, if race-fit, will take all the beating. Julien Dubois will still be keeping a watchful eye on her front-line neighbour, LA DESIRADE (7) who imposed at Angers on her return from a break, and LILYROSE WIND (6) whose last 2 provincial runs went notably well. Anthony Barrier will be justifiably concerned though by the presence of JARYCA (4) who has been a model of consistency for some time, and the terrifically-engaged ISIA DU CHENE (11) whose latest result is not indicative of her ability. MILLESIME PIYA (1) is well bred and nicely qualified so would not be a surprise winner on debut. MISTRAL DU BOIS (8) was unlcuky last time out and can bounce back to be a threat. MANNINEN SEVEN (10) is also capable of shining in this race.
