  1. JOYEUSE D’OCCAGNES – Unexceptional 7th of 10 finishers in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche earlier in the month. Is no slouch on a good day and it is just a question of time before she comes good again
  2. JIMANY – Decent campaigner that finished last of 10 behind JOYEUSE D’OCCAGNES (1) in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche earlier in the month. Is yet to deliver at Reims but returns to racing barefoot and, if focused, will be no pushover
  3. IRIS D’AVIGNERE – 11th of 13, on return from a break, in a 2800m Cholet amateurs harness Class G on 2 March. Has placed just once in last calendar year and can be ruled out
  4. IMITCH DU MOULIN – Sanctioned in both since securing the 3-timer, latterly very unlucky in a 2700m Le Croise-Laroche amateurs harness Class G a week ago. Top driver in the bike this time and will be dangerous if kept out of trouble
  5. IDEAL DU GAZON – Back under the saddle after running 4th of 16 in a 2675m Châtillon Class E on 2 March. Is new to the venue, and would be preferred on turf, but in current condition must be considered a player
  6. IGANA D’ALB – Oddly below-par 6th of 9 behind JAGUAR DE VILLETOT (10) in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle last Sunday. Is plainly in top shape though and Thibaut Dromigny will be eager to complement last month’s success
  7. HEROINE DARCHE – Pulled-up in a 2500m Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen last Sunday. Has been out of sorts for some time and has no possible chance
  8. IPSIE DE LA LUNE – Not disgraced when 4th of 5 finishers in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F on 22 January. Goes barefoot for first time under the saddle and is not about to let the side down
  9. ISOLINA – 5th of 13 in a 2500m Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen last weekend. Is unlikely to repeat but will nevertheless be expected to hold her own
  10. JAGUAR DE VILLETOT – 2nd of 9 on re-entry in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle last Sunday. The run will have done him good and David Lefèvre could not have wished for a better entry. Claim
Summary: JAGUAR DE VILLETOT (10) put in quite the performance on his recent return to competition and although short on right-handed credentials, he still has the wherewithal to wrap this up. Unlucky last weekend, IMITCH DU MOULIN (4) has been reconfigured, will be reined by Anthony Barrier for the occasion, and represents the main danger. IGANA D’ALB (6) is starting to shine in the discipline and can put her La Capelle performance behind her. IPSIE DE LA LUNE (8) has shown potential under the saddle and, barefoot in this field, can challenge for a spot on the podium.

  12. GRISBI DU PERSIL – 10th of 12 behind HAPPY ATOUT (10) when preparing for this in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche last weekend. Hind shoes off this time but others still preferred
  13. HAROLD SAUTONNE – 4th at Vincennes last month prior to running 5th of 15 in a 2500m Class E at La Rochelle on 2 March. Unseen at the venue since 2022 but is plainly close to his race and can bring the fight to IMPERIAL BEJI (11)
  14. ISSIA DE CHARLY – Below-par 8th of 13 in a 2500m Class F here on 2 March. Has done nothing noteworthy since last summer and can be passed over
  15. IMIKO JIEL – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 18 December. Has had bags of time to recalibrate, is barefoot for re-entry, and with a decent record at the venue can finish in the mix
  16. HELALI DE MONTCEAU – Respectable 6th of 12 finishers on comeback in a 2900m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Not always the easiest to gauge but is proven here and racing barefoot for the occasion should have a decent first-5 chance
  17. GALON D’AMIRAL – 4th of 11 finishers, at 131/1, in a 2850m Laval Class D on 6 March. Appreciates Reims conditions but a repeat seems improbable
  18. HILDA DU THYRAL – Unraced since coming 3rd of 8 in a 2850m Vincennes amateurs Class F last August. Has references at this level, is barefoot for first start back, and while not a priority will still generate interest
  19. INSIDE MAN – Returns to a track he likes after coming 8th of 12 behind HAPPY ATOUT (10) in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche last weekend. Will have come on for the run and looks a decent place chance
  20. HAPPY ATOUT – Courageous 5th of 12 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche last weekend. Is not easy to knock when fitted with front pads and, given the entry, can trot his way into the money
  21. IMPERIAL BEJI – Hard to knock since the turn of the year, latterly 3rd of 13 in a 2575m Agen Class F early this month. Seldom lets the side down when sporting this configuration and can expect the lion’s share of support
Summary: In cracking form, and associated with Anthony Barrier, IMPERIAL BEJI (11) benefits from a superb entry here and, competitively shod for the occasion, looks the one to beat. HAROLD SAUTONNE (3) has the confidence of his handler, won his only start at the venue, and looks the main threat. Barefoot after a much-needed return run, INSIDE MAN (9) boasts fine Reims references and is unlikely to disappoint. INDIEN D’HERIPRE (1) was very unlucky on his recent return to competition and, with front shoes off, will be expected to put things right.

  24. KOUREION D’ELA – Last of 10, on return to competition, in a 2425m Angers Class F on 22 January. Has ample ability, should take well to Reims profile, and can give KER MIEL (7) something to think about. Chance
  25. KOOL DANOVER – 7th of 12 in a 2550m Class E here 2 weeks ago. Is never far from faulting but is clearly in good shape and, if applied, can finish in the mix
  26. KIF DE LA BRETTE – 2nd of 12 on comeback in a 2500m Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen last Sunday. Consistently gives his best and the draw will only work to his advantage
  27. KEROS DE BEAULIEU – Distant last of 7 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche on 24 February. Starts in front, and races barefoot, but still not easy to like
  28. KER MIEL – Has not been seen out since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E on 10 January. Is a tough nut when focused and if sufficiently-fit can bring home the bacon
  29. KING CROWN – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class F on 12 February. Has no place here and can be written off
  30. KRISTAL DE JIEL – Starts for first time since finishing 11th of 15 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 2 December. Hind shoes off but others still easier to back
  31. KATKO DES CHAMPS – 8th of 12, a place behind KOOL DANOVER (4), in a 2550m Class E here 2 weeks ago. Has been off the boil for some time and has nothing to offer
  32. KAPRICE DE CHANJAC – 4th at Amiens prior to running 2nd of 14 in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle last Sunday. Has never disappointed at Reims and is not about to start now. Place prospect
  33. KADOR DELO – Courageous 5th of 9 finishers, a place behind KAPRICE DE CHANJAC (11), in a 2400m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Went close last time here and even from the 2nd row can give this a good go. First 5
Summary: Back racing clockwise after a much-needed spell, KER MIEL (7) is competitively shod for his comeback and even though not ideally-drawn, he will be reined by Matthieu Abrivard for the occasion and can get straight back in the game. KOUREION D’ELA (3) is better-positioned on the front row, will have come on for his re-entry run, and will be shod to preference. KIF DE LA BRETTE (5) pleasantly surprised last weekend and must be taken at face value. KAPRICE DE CHANJAC (11) is back on the right road and the draw should not prove too much of an inconvenience.

  36. KALA DES RACQUES – Has not raced since running 4th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche mid-December. Ran 2nd on lone Reims appearance and in this company looks a respectable place chance
  37. KHADIDJA CASTELETS – Courageous but unremarkable 6th of 10 finishers in a 2400m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Has yet to show much liking for Reims but sports a new configuration and should not be overlooked
  38. KALYNKA LANDING – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2850m Mauquenchy ridden Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Has shown a liking for Reims and, with front shoes off this time, can make her presence felt
  39. KERMESSE DU CROCQ – Unseen since coming 6th of 9 finishers in a 2400m Amiens Class F early-December. Has never been tested at this level and with shoes on will have little to offer
  40. KALAMA DE BEYLEV – Useful mare making first appearance since running 3rd of 16 in a 2750m Angouleme Class E last October. Is hard to knock when focused and deserves to be taken seriously
  41. KIVALINA – Has not graced a racecourse since finishing last but one in a 2600m Nancy Class G late-November. Front pads fitted but still not a concern
  42. KISACELEA – Has not been seen out since being placed last in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F last August. Useful, but no champion, and can be passed over
Summary: A winner over course and distance in early-December, the complicated KAFIA DE CERISY (1) came good again earlier in the month and with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike can make this her own. He will still be minded to keep one eye on a freshly-shod KELLY DU MENIL (2) who has taken a liking to racing clockwise. Barefoot for her first run since October, KALAMA DE BEYLEV (7) will be no soft touch if race-fit. KALA DES RACQUES (3) is better-positioned behind the car and, reconfigured for the occasion, the same caveat applies.
    SELECTIONS
KAFIA DE CERISY (1) – KELLY DU MENIL (2) – KALAMA DE BEYLEV (7) – KALA DES RACQUES (3)
    C5 – PRIX DES BOUTONS D’OR – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000
  43. LEODAGAN – Races for first time since running 8th of 9 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes monte Class E on 13 December. Has undeniable potential, sports front pads for the first time, and must be afforded respect
  44. LORD DES GRANGES – Has not been seen out since running 4th of 7 finishers in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E last September. Hind shoes off but best to wait
  45. LULU JIVE – Lost his maiden tag in a 2500m Class F here on 2 March. In better company this time but still has a lot to contribute
  46. LOOK DAIRPET – 10th of 12 on comeback in a 2400m Amiens Class F 10 days ago. Won under these conditions last spring, races unshod-behind for first time, but still cannot be considered a priority
  47. LOUPIAC – Starts for the first time since finishing 9th of 14 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 2 January. Is confirmed racing right-handed but may be race-rusty
  48. LORD DU TRIEUX – Unraced since finishing last of 12 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche late-November. Front pads fitted for re-entry but is going to need the race
  49. LOOKING CHIC – Last but one on re-entry in a 2450m Caen Class E last Monday. Already a winner at this level and has every chance of repeating
  50. LETS GO HAPPY – Back in the provinces after finishing last but one in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 12 February. Is in his category, should appreciate the new profile, and looks competitively well-in
  51. LOHENGRIN – Returns to racing clockwise after running 2nd of 8 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Sports a similar configuration and will be expected to bring the fight to LOOKING CHIC (7)
Summary: Sent for a break after winning 2 on the trot, including under these conditions, LOOKING CHIC (7) has been entrusted to Anthony Barrier for his first objective of the year and, if fully fit, can maintain his perfect Reims record. Nicely-engaged here, LOHENGRIN (9) has yet to deliver right-handed but the nature of his latest performance bodes well for his chances. As adept racing right-handed as left-, LETS GO HAPPY (8) returns to racing barefoot and can make the frame this time. Barefoot again after having imposed here recently, LULU JIVE (3) steps up in category but can still finish in the mix.

    LOOKING CHIC (7) – LOHENGRIN (9) – LETS GO HAPPY (8) – LULU JIVE (3)
    C6 – PRIX DES MIMOSAS – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000
  52. LILAS DES RIOULTS – Handy sort making first appearance since running 2nd of 6 finishers in a 2400m Amiens Class F last September. Unlikely to cause an upset but should nonetheless give an honourable account
  53. LYNN CRISTAL – Complicated but useful filly that ran 2nd of 11 to LAIA D’AVRIL (3) in a 2500m Class F here on 2 March. Will attempt to close the gap but looks more a first-5 prospect this time around
  54. LAIA D’AVRIL – Made a superb re-entry when comfortably winning a 2500m Class F here a fortnight ago. Takes on a better lot this time but is a progressive sort and not incapable of repeating
  55. LINE MAJYC – Unthreatening but respectable 4th of 9 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E late last month. Yet to get off the mark but always gives her best and should not be overlooked
  56. LELLAMIKA – 10th of 13 on comeback in a 2200m Caen Class F 9 days ago. Has merit but has little going for her here and can be ruled out
  57. LOUNA D’OR – Unseen since finishing last but one in a 2825m Class A at Le Croise-Laroche early-November. Barefoot for the occasion but chances still limited
  58. LUCRECE DE CORDAY – Failed to confirm Vincennes effort when flattering 6th of 9 finishers in a 3000m Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago. Shoes off for the first time though and, if focused, can play a dominant role
  59. LAYLA SONIA – Got back in the game when 2nd of 14 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Has been specifically aimed at this race and will have a lot to contribute if she turns
  60. LUNA KALOUMA – Starts for first time since finishing 10th of 12 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche on 25 November. Is proven here and is not devoid of ability but best to hold off
  61. LADY CYNTHIA – 2nd at Mauquenchy early-February before winning a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche 12 days ago. Has considerable untapped potential and looks thoroughly capable of confirming
  62. LA NUIT JE MENS – Unexceptional 6th of 12 in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 4 March. Has pleased for the most part at Reims but represents no more than a minor place chance
  63. LILOU D’ATOUT – Quality element making first appearance since running 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E last September. Is not about to stir things up but is confirmed here and will be worth monitoring
Summary: LADY CYNTHIA (10) has taken her game to a new level since the turn of the year; she races clockwise for the first time but still looks a marginally better bet than LAIA D’AVRIL (3) who made short work of a Class F here earlier in the month. LUCRECE DE CORDAY (7) was unexceptional at Nantes last month but goes first-time barefoot with her trainer in the bike and will be no easy touch. LAYLA SONIA (8) has yet to establish her credentials racing right-handed but a repeat of her latest run would see her finish close.
    SELECTIONS

    C7 – PRIX DES ROSES – 2500m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 22,000
  64. INDIAN FIGHTER – Unthreatening 5th of 9 finishers in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 3 March. Has ground to make up but will be fully-fit by now and, confirmed at Reims, is unlikely to be far from the action
  65. HAXO DE LA CHAULE – 3rd of 11, on return from a break, in a 2900m Amiens amateurs Class G 3 weeks ago. Always gives his best and although not about to get his nose in front, can nonetheless take advantage of the draw and pick up some prizemoney
  66. HIMALAYA TONIQUE – Makes first appearance since finishing last but one in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 24 January. Comes here fresh, nicely-positioned on the front line, and can get a look-in
  67. HEY QUICK – 6th of 14 in a 2150m Cagnes Class E on 8 February. Drops in category, hails from a yard firing on all cylinders, and is not about to let the side down
  68. ICARE DE LA DORETE – Decent 5th of 14 in a 2700m Class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer 2.5 weeks ago. Won his only start at the venue and must be taken seriously
  69. INES D’HERMES – Got back in the game 3 weeks ago when missing out by little in a 2400m Amiens Class F. Has nothing to prove in this category and is well-placed to challenge for the win
  70. INFERNAL SPIRIT – Made up for Challans disqualification when 2nd of 16 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 24 February. Has been knocking at the door and has a realistic chance of making his Reims debut a winning one
  71. ILLUMINATI – Makes first appearance since finishing last but one in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F on 24 November. Shoes on this time and best to wait
  72. IDEAL MADRIK – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2200m Class F at Salon-de-Provence late-November. Hind shoes off this time but still not a concern
  73. IPOCALYPSE LOVE – Last of 8 in a 2850m Mauquenchy amateurs Class G 3.5 weeks ago. Is proven here but has been off the boil since the autumn and others preferred
  74. IVAJALE – Good, consistent mare that ran 5th of 13 behind INES D’HERMES (6) in a 2400m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Is clearly in excellent shape, sports pads this time, and can figure prominently if Louis Rodriguez successfully negotiates the start
  75. HIT MONEY – Has not been seen out since running 7th of 9 in a 2800m Strasbourg monte Class F on 25 October. Out of the picture in last 3 here and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Something of an open affair this but it is hard to ignore how well INFERNAL SPIRIT (7) bounced back from his Challans blip. He starts wide but is just preferable to INES D’HERMES (6) who received a resounding thumbs-up for her Amiens effort. IVAJALE (11) raced better that day than the result would suggest and fitting pads may make all the difference. HEY QUICK (4) enjoys a superb spot behind the car and his young partner will be eager to capitalise.
    SELECTIONS
    INFERNAL SPIRIT (7) – INES D’HERMES (6) – IVAJALE (11) – HEY QUICK (4)
    C8 – PRIX DES PAQUERETTES – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 18,000
  76. MAILLON DU CHENE – Makes first public outing since qualifying in 1’19”1 at Caen last June. Has had time to come into himself and the presence of Pierre-Yves Verva in the bike speaks volumes. Chance
  77. MIA DE CHENU – Qualified in a respectable 1’18”5 at Caen last June. Cannot be considered a priority but is still worth keeping an eye on
  78. MISS VITARDERIE – Qualified without fanfare at Grosbois last October and will struggle to make her mark in this company
  79. MALICIOSO – Failed to keep his action together in a 2625m Class F at La Rochelle earlier this month, first time out. Leading driver in the hot seat this time and looks a serious proposition
  80. MAO DU CAMPDOS – Well-supported, but ultimately sanctioned, in a Class F over course and distance on 2 March. Takes on a better bunch this time and chances limited
  81. MELODIE DE FAEL – Pleasant 1’19”3 in Grosbois qualification early February before faulting in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class F on debut last Monday. Will be pitted against some tough elements here and others easier to back
  82. MARIUS DE DUSSAC – Tricky sort making first appearance since completing a quartet of sanctions when faulting in a 2175m Vincennes Class D 2 months ago. Matthieu Abrivard stays faithful though and must not be ruled out
  83. MADE IN CASTELETS – 3rd of 12, at 119/1, on debut over course and distance early this month. Will have found his feet and can again figure prominently
  84. MACAVIO DE HOUELLE – Failed to live up to expectations when 5th of 8 in a 2400m Amiens Class F 10 days ago. Will appreciate Reims profile and can again make first 5
  85. MAJESTY QUICK – Useful filly that faulted in a 2925m Cagnes C lass E on 21 February. Is clearly a decent filly in the making and can win this if she keeps her stride together
Summary: MAJESTY QUICK (10) may have lost her action last time out but she has shown significant promise on the Riviera recently and Romain Derieux will be intent on setting the record straight. The untried MAILLON DU CHENE (1) hails from a stable with solid juvenile form and Pierre-Yves Verva will be reining first time out. Anthony Barrier’s services have been retained for the promising MALICIOSO (4) who will have his chances if focused. MADE IN CASTELETS (8) sprang quite the surprise on career debut here earlier in the month and must be taken more seriously this time around.
    SELECTIONS – MAJESTY QUICK (10) – MAILLON DU CHENE (1) – MALICIOSO (4) – MADE IN CASTELETS (8)
