R1 ARGENTAN [R-H]

C1 – PRIX TERRES D’ARGENTAN NORMANDIE – 2875m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

  1. HELIOS DJEMA – Capable trotter making first appearance since finishing 8th of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 18 November and will have nothing to contribute
  2. IVANA DES RACQUES – Last of 14 when prepping for this in a 2450m Caen Class D conditioner on 10 March. Is considerably better than that though and the choice of driver bodes well for her place prospects
  3. IXELLE BLEUE – Produced a pair of good right-handed performances before finishing 8th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Starts in front, has previously delivered for her driver, and is not incapable of setting the cat among the pigeons
  4. IVOIRE PRESTANCE – Starts for first time since finishing 8th of 13 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C late-November. Shod to preference this time and looks a player on first start for new yard
  5. JOLIE STAR – Sanctioned when going well in a 2700m Vincennes Class B on 4 February. Dependability not her strong suit but has won twice racing clockwise and should not be written off
  6. GALINETTE BLEUE – No slouch on a good day but has not raced since finishing 6th of 8 min a 2600m Cavaillon Class E late-October and is going to need the outing
  7. JET EXPRESS – Capricious but talented type making first start since finishing 8th of 16 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B on 8 November. May be a race shy but still has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
  8. JOURNEE REVEE – Imposed at Vincennes 2 months ago, then ran 2nd to a very good horse in a 2700m Class B at the same venue early-February. Pleased on lone start here and is easy to like for the win
  9. FEELING BOY – Sanctioned in a 2825m Class D at Le Croise-Laroche 11 days ago. Is in decent shape though, appreciates Argentan, and despite the handicap could still get a look-in
  10. IMPERATOR D’ELA – Fine servant with nothing to prove at this level but will race shod for comeback and best to keep one’s powder dry
  11. HELIOS SI – Hardy element that was sanctioned on re-entry in a 2450m Caen Class D early this month. Still in conditioning-mode and best to wait
  12. HASARD D’ERABLE – Drops in category after finishing 9th of 14 behind GAZOLINE DU SEUX (16) in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 23 February. Sports front pads this time but could still play a small part
  13. HOLD UP DU DIGEON – Ran 4th at Caen prior to being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class C last Friday. Has never produced the goods in the day’s configuration and is not about to paint the town red
  14. IALTO D’HERTALS – Runner-up in last 2, latterly of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Reverts to a previous formula and even from the back line will be dangerous
  15. ILTON ROYAL – Has been flying under the saddle recently, latterly thrashing the field in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 7 March. Has never delivered under harness but is barefoot for the occasion and is hard to ignore
  16. GAZOLINE DU SEUX – Quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class D early this month. Enjoys a fine entry but still appears to have her work cut out
Summary: As solid as a rock in three of her last four starts, JOURNEE REVEE (8) drops marginally in category after putting on a good show in Paris and, ideally-engaged on the front line, can wrap this up. François Lagadeuc will still want to be wary of reconfigured 2nd-row starter IALTO D’HERTALS (14) who has been knocking at the door lately, and the better-placed, and shod, JET EXPRESS (7) who will be no easy touch if sufficiently fit. IVANA DES RACQUES (2) may not be known for her reliability but she has 2 runs under her belt and the engagement of Anthony Barrier speaks volumes. IXELLE BLEUE (3) sports 4 pads after her Laval conditioner and returns to a track she likes with a good hand to play.
    SELECTIONS
    JOURNEE REVEE (8) – IALTO D’HERTALS (14) – JET EXPRESS (7) – IVANA DES RACQUES (2)
    C2 – PRIX DU CHATEAU DE CHAMBOIS – 2875m (a2m) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 30,000
  17. JUAN PERRINE – Made a solid ridden debut 3 weeks ago, coming 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class E. Takes on a better lot this time but enjoys a front-row start and still has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
  18. JAVA WIC – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 4th of 10 in a 2450m Caen Class G a fortnight ago. Enjoys a 7kg allowance, starts in front, and looks a player
  19. JADE DU PARC – 6th of 10 behind JAVA WIC (2) in a 2450m Caen Class G a fortnight ago. Won her only start at the venue but in this company will need to find more
  20. HIRONDELLE FEE – Takes first public ridden steps after having been sanctioned in a 2800m Vire Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is new to the venue and, while patently useful, may just have too much to do
  21. ISLAND LOVE – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently when going well in a 2800m Vire harness Class E on 2 March. Has bags of ability, is already a winner racing right-handed, and is not to be underestimated
  22. JULIA QUICK – Excellent campaigner back under the saddle after dominating a 2650m harness Class C in Bordeaux on 8 March.
  23. IGO CLEA – 2nd of 8 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class C 11 days ago. Won his only monte start here and his latest performance bodes well for his chances
  24. INITIALE CASTELETS – Quality mare that at ran 3rd of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Won her only start here and is reunited with Mathieu Mottier who will be eager to make up for December sanction. Chance
  25. JUS DE FRUIT – Serious sort returning to racing right-handed after running 5th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class A on 21 February. Has nothing to prove at this level and will be expected to contest the finish. Claim
Summary: A number of horses catch the eye here but a small preference nonetheless goes to the tough JUS DE FRUIT (9) who drops in category with Benjamin Rochard back in the bike. Although short on ridden references, JULIA QUICK (6) is clearly in top shape and will be no pushover if she manages to stay in stride. INITIALE CASTELETS (8) is not easy to knock when focused and will have her chances. IGO CLEA (7) has done nothing but improve over recent months and has already won over course and distance.

    C3 – PRIX DU CHATEAU DE SASSY – 2800m (a2m) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 18,000
  26. MACUMBA DES PLANS – Sanctioned in a 2500m Class F at La Rochelle 10 days ago. Pleased here a month earlier though and despite the rail-side draw can get in on the action
  27. MADONE ROCHEL – Back under harness after finishing a distant 5th of 12 in a 2450m monte Class E at Caen last Thursday and has no possible chance
  28. MANILLE D’ERABLE – Courageous 5th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class F a fortnight back. David Thomain will be delighted with the draw and can impose
  29. MISS SCARLET – 8th of 12, a place behind MADONE ROCHEL (2) in a 2150m Vire Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Has ground to make up and, while not a priority, is well-situated on the front line and can get a look-in
  30. MISS DE LA FERME – Lost her action early in a 2450m Caen Class F on 6 March. Has significant talent though and will be no easy touch if focused
  31. MALINE DE JED – 10th of 14 in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago and already looks out of her depth
  32. MANDARINE BAM – Ran 4th here before finishing last of 8 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 23 February. Appears better suited to racing clockwise and can more than make amends. Place prospect
  33. MISS DE BELLOUET – 4th of 13 on re-entry in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago. Will have progressed for the run and will not be far off the mark if Maxence Duveau positions her early
  34. MARILOU D’ERI – Untried element that qualified in 1’20”4 at Caen last June. Handed a tough draw and appears to have little to offer
  35. MONEY WINNER AS – Qualified in 1’18”8 at Caen 3 weeks ago which should be enough to play a role here, even though forced to break from 2nd line
  36. MAKARINA DE BOMO – Sanctioned in both to date, most recently a 2375m Challans Class F on 9 February, but has nevertheless shown decent aptitude and with application can make the frame
  37. MADONA DU CLOS – Qualified in 1’19”4 at Caen mid-November. Not ideally-drawn though and may just have too much to do on career debut
  38. MAGIE DU HOULME – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a 2800m Vire Class F late-January. Has demonstrated little aptitude for the game and will have few friends
  39. MARA DES OIES – Sanctioned on debut in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago. Has pulled a tough number and is unlikely to stir things up
Summary: Although not as sharp as expected at Caen recently, MANILLE D’ERABLE (3) is clearly a good sort in the making and from the 3-spot can get off the mark. Sanctioned that day but patently a progressive filly, MISS DE LA FERME (5) is also nicely-positioned behind the car and Anthony Barrier will be intent on making amends. MAKARINA DE BOMO (11) comported herself well after both sanctions and it is only a question of time before she comes good. MANDARINE BAM (7) is back racing right-handed after her Graignes blip and will be expected to finish close this time.

    C4 – PRIX PARIS-TURF – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000
  40. LA DAME DE COEUR – Unraced since finishing 7th of 16 in a 2100m Vincennes Class C last September. Excels right-handed, is unshod-behind for the first time, and must not be underestimated
  41. LADY POP – Useful filly making first appearance since finishing last but one behind LA MITIDJA (8) in a 2550m Bordeaux Class D on 27 December, but others still preferred
  42. LEXOVIENNE – Not altogether at her ease when sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien Class D last week. Boasts solid references racing clockwise and is suitably well-positioned to give this a good go. Place chance
  43. LOUISIANE LEMAN – Quality element that ran good 2nd of 11 in a 2825m Cordemais Class E late last month. Is clearly close to her race and winning this is well within her capacity
  44. LOULIANA DE VANDEL – Last of 4, on return to competition, in a 2875m Enghien Class D last week. Will have progressed for the run and has every chance of making her Argentan debut a victorious one
  45. LYRIDE ORLOVE – Reverts to racing clockwise after finishing last of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Reunited with Benjamin Rochard who brought her close at Vincennes and can give LOULIANA DE VANDEL (5) something to think about
  46. LORELEI DE REUX – Has not been seen out since comfortably winning a 2175m Vincennes Class E late-November. Shod for comeback and best to hold off
  47. LA MITIDJA – Complicated but capable filly starting for first time since running 4th of 14 in a 2550m Bordeaux Class D on 27 December. Competitively-shod for first time and, with application, can play a small role
  48. LEGENDE DU BOULAY – Unseen since finishing 8th of 9 behind LADY POP (2) in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 19 November. Poorly-situated on 2nd line and would be preferred at a lower level
  49. LADY FLO DE MAX – Honest sort that ran a valiant 5th of 12 in a 2150m Cagnes Class D late last month. Is confirmed over longer here but stays shod and the draw only compounds matters
  50. LUGACHA – 7th of 13, after a poor trip, in a 2450m Caen Class E last week. Has 2 runs in her since the break and, with her mind on the game, will not be far off the mark
Summary: Even though her comeback result was flattering at best, LOULIANA DE VANDEL (5) will be race-fit by now, benefits from a golden entry, and Gabi Gelormini will be eager to capitalise. LYRIDE ORLOVE (6) is back in a more suitable category and races without hind shoes for the first time. LOUISIANE LEMAN (4) has taken her game to a new level this year and Eric Raffin will have no complaints about the draw, and neither will Pierre-Yves Verva whose LEXOVIENNE (3) will be no soft touch if disciplined.

    LOULIANA DE VANDEL (5) – LYRIDE ORLOVE (6) – LOUISIANE LEMAN (4) – LEXOVIENNE (3)
    C5 – PRIX DU CHATEAU DES DUCS D’ALENCON – 2875m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000
  51. LOUSTIC DELAURIERE – Out of the picture since winning a brace last September, most recently sanctioned early in a 2625m Agen Class E on 3 March, and others preferred
  52. LAZAN DE PASSIEU – Well-beaten 5th of 12, on first start since his break, in a 2875m Enghien Class D 12 days ago. Will have progressed for the run and although unlikely to get his nose in front, can nevertheless make first 5
  53. LOVEBIRD – 2nd of 14 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Is consistently in the thick of things and is not about to change his ways
  54. LOOK PEJI – 7th of 16, a place behind LUCIFER DU PONT (8), in a 2450m Caen Class D on 3 March. Will have come on for the race but others still easier to back
  55. L’ARTISTE ZEN – 6th of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 7 February. Eric Raffin reining this time and can assure his charge a competitive drive
  56. L’ARTISTE MIL – In the frame in 2 of last 3, most recently 2nd of 10 in a 2175m Vincennes monté Class C on 8 February, but would be preferred with pads fitted
  57. LIMA MARY – Back under harness after being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class C early last month. Shocks on though and not a concern
  58. LUCIFER DU PONT – 6th of 12 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class D on 3 March. Has been climbing the category-ladder in good order and with hind shoes off this time looks main threat to LEMON FLEURY (11)
  59. LOOK AT ME LULU – Complicated filly making first start since being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class A mid-November. Has merit but is unlikely to garner much support this time around
  60. LUGANO – 7th of 10 finishers, a place behind LEMON FLEURY (11), in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February. Is significantly better than that though and must not be underestimated. Place chance
  61. LEMON FLEURY – Ran 6th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February despite losing significant ground early, but can wrap this up if his driver gets him off on the right foot
  62. LOUIS QUATORZE – Talented sort but not at his ease when last of 10 finishers behind LEMON FLEURY (11) in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February. Has previously won racing clockwise and must be taken seriously
  63. LITTLE KING – 9th of 10 finishers behind LEMON FLEURY (11) in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February and has no possible chance
  64. LANNISTER D’AVRIL – Unraced since finishing 12th of 13 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 18 December. Races barefoot for first time but may need the run
  65. LA LAGOSTERIA – Last of 3 finishers in a 2175m Vincennes Class C on 7 February. Only 60 Euros from elimination, goes first-time barefoot, and will be worth monitoring
Summary: Difficult to knock when focused, LEMON FLEURY (11) would have finished closer at Vincennes last month had he stayed in stride, but otherwise excels with his driver and on good behaviour should have this in the bag. Yoann Lebourgeois will still be keeping an eye on the in-form LUCIFER DU PONT (8) who is competitively shod this time, and the talented LUGANO (10) who has never before been barefoot when racing right-handed. LOVEBIRD (3) is plainly close to his race and is shod as he was at Vincennes late last month.
    SELECTIONS

    C6 – PRIX DU CHATEAU DU HARAS NATIONAL DU PIN – 2875m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000
  66. KADENCE DU RENARD – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 3150m Saint-Brieuc Class F early-December and will have nothing to contribute
  67. KRONOS DES LANDES – 7th of 14 in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle on 9 March. Regressive profile and others easier to back
  68. KADEOS SI – 6th of 10 finishers in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle 10 days ago. Has done nothing noteworthy this winter and can expect to have few friends
  69. KSAR DU RIEU – Capricious sort making first appearance since finishing 10th of 13 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last July. Hind shoes off but is unlikely to cause an upset
  70. KEOPS DE JUMILLY – Has acquitted himself well all winter, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class F on 16 February. Has a lot going for him here and the front-row start will only work in his favour. Chance
  71. KAMARO – Out of the picture in all 5 starts this year, latterly sanctioned in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 22 February. Is confirmed here but still not easy to recommend
  72. KILLY D’IRATY – 6th of 9 finishers in a 2850m Loudeac Class F on Sunday and backs up with limited aspiration
  73. KING LUCKY – Ran 12th of 13, on return to competition, in a 2700m Vire Class F earlier this month. Remains shod and cannot be considered a player
  74. KOKA RIGHT – Never pushed on comeback when last of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class E 9 days ago. Sports 4 pads for the first time and although not a priority, can still get in on the action
  75. KING TURGOT – Starts for first time since faulting in a 2100m Vincennes Class E early-November and with shoes on will have nothing to offer
  76. KILOU – 4th of 16 behind KLASSIC DREAM (14), on re-entry, in a 2200m Caen Class E on 3 March. Will have progressed for the run, is confirmed at the venue, and warrants considerable respect
  77. KLASSIKA DIDALO – Has not been seen out since running 7th of 16 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D last October and is going to need the run
  78. KATOUCHKA – 7th of 12 on comeback in a 2200m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Will have come on for the run, gets a leading pilot for the occasion, and must be afforded respect
  79. KLASSIC DREAM – Put a trio of sanctions behind him to run 2nd of 16 in a 2200m Caen Class E on 3 March and, with application, has every chance of imposing
  80. KALITY LOVE – Took little time getting back in the winners’ circle following the break, dominating a 2550m Reims Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Thrives racing clockwise and can figure prominently on Argentan debut
  81. KRACK DESBOIS – Good 3rd of 16, a place behind KLASSIC DREAM (14), in a 2200m Caen Class E on 3 March. Nicely-engaged close to the limit of earnings and Benjamin Rochard will be loathe to let the opportunity pass him by
Summary: Complicated he may be but KLASSIC DREAM (14) reassured connections at Caen earlier in the month and will have a claim on the prize provided Yoann Lebourgeois keeps him focused. A place behind him that day, KRACK DESBOIS (16) enjoys a superb entry and even though shod can still fight out the finish. 25m better off and as good racing right-handed as left-, KEOPS DE JUMILLY (5) is barefoot for the occasion and the Eric Raffin-factor cannot be ignored. KATOUCHKA (13) has a race under her belt and, entrusted to Mathieu Mottier for the first time, is unlikely to disappoint.

  82. JERICOCKO DE FRAD – 5th of 15 in a 2900m Challans Class G 10 days ago. Sanctioned on lone appearance under the saddle and will have few friends
  83. JOUEUSE MAJYC – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F on 19 December. Shoes on and no threat
  84. JELLINO SPRINT – Sanctioned in a 3250m Saumur Class F on 9 March. Not as sharp as he was as a 4yo but considering the potential, should not be ruled out
  85. KERGRIST – 5th of 10 when preparing for this in a 2900m Challans Class F 10 days ago. Hind shoes off this time and from the front row will be dangerous
  86. JASMIN DE CANCHY – Moderate type returning to the discipline after being sanctioned on comeback in a 2675m harness Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago and has no possible chance
  87. JOKER VANCEEN – Last of 8 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class D on 3 March. Starts in front but has never shown much aptitude for the ridden code and cannot be considered a concern
  88. KRUNCH DE L’ITON – Back under the saddle after making short work of a 2800m Vire harness Class F on 9 February and, if applied, can take advantage of the front-line start and impose
  89. JASPER SPOKEN – Sanctioned on return to competition in a 2900m Challans Class G 10 days ago and is unlikely to make any impact
  90. JAGUAR FAC – Makes first appearance since finishing 11th of 12 in a 2850m Class F last October and, with pads fitted, can be ruled out
  91. KIKOU DE FAY – Reassured at Machecoul before being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class F a fortnight ago. Wonderfully-entered on front row but still has more to find
  92. JAMIE LEE WHITE – Switches code after finishing last but one in a 2150m harness Class F here early last month and can be passed over
  93. KENENISA SKILL – Left quite the impression when victorious in a 2175m Vincennes Class E on 1 February. Mathieu Mottier in the irons this time and pulling off the double would be no surprise
  94. JANE QUICK – Ran 3rd under the saddle at Chateaubriant prior to repeating in a 2900m Challans harness Class G 10 days ago. Races unshod-behind for first time and even from back row can get a look-in
  95. KENZO D’EVA – Has done nothing but improve this winter, latterly 3rd of 7 finishers, a place behind JARKA DE BEYLEV (17), in a 2625m Agen-Le Passage Class E on 3 March. Is new to the venue but is still very easy to like
  96. JOAKIM BILOU – Has 3 runs under his belt since the layoff but coming 9th of 16 in a 2675m harness Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago will not cut the mustard, reconfigured or not
  97. JOIE GIBUS – Debuts in the discipline after being sanctioned in a 2700m harness Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 24 February. Has been reconfigured and with Eric Raffin in the saddle can be assured a competitive ride
  98. JARKA DE BEYLEV – Never far from faulting but received a resounding thumbs-up for coming 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2625m Agen-Le Passage Class E on 3 March and with stride in check can again finish close
  99. JAG DU LIOT – Enjoys a fine entry here but has no ridden references and being sanctioned in a 2800m Vire Class E 2.5 weeks ago does nothing to improve his plight
Summary: It took changing stables for KENENISA SKILL (12) to lose her maiden tag but she did so with determination early last month and looks thoroughly capable of doubling up. That being said, KRUNCH DE L’ITON (7) returns to the discipline after winning under harness and enjoys a 25m head-start. Also on the first line, KERGRIST (4) will be shod to preference and, with application, will be no shrinking violet. Not once out of the frame in his last 4 starts, KENZO D’EVA (14) should take well to the new profile and can expect to be well-supported.
    SELECTIONS

    C8 – PRIX DE LA REGION NORMANDIE – 2800m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 28,000
  100. JOKER DE CHOISEL – 2nd of 14, on re-entry, in a a 2625m Cherbourg Class F on 16 February. Has talent to burn, is confirmed here, and will not go down without a fight
  101. INITIALE LILA – Returns to the harness code after dominating a 2450m Caen monte Class F on 3 March. Has a decent spot on front row and will be competitive for a first-5 payout
  102. MAGGIORE (SWE) – Fast-finishing winner of a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class E mid-February. Ideally-positioned behind the car and, with Gabi Gelormini back in the bike, can repeat
  103. HARCANGELO D’AMOUR – Has not been seen out since finishing 13th of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class E early-December. Handed an excellent draw but cannot be considered a priority
  104. JAZZ DE PERVENCHE – Back in the professional ranks after trouncing the opposition in a 2875m amateurs Class F at Enghien last Friday. Is new to the venue but with form maintained can again figure prominently
  105. IDEAL DELADOU – Made it 3 straight sanctions after faulting in a 2450m Caen Class D on 3 March. Is plainly in shape though, starts in front, and will not be far off the mark if Alexis Collette can keep him focused
  106. HIBOU D’ERPION – Faithful servant for the most part but has not raced since coming 3rd of 12 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E last August. Shoes on and best to wait
  107. HILLONA DE NESLE – Returns to the provinces after having run 4th of 14 in a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class F late-February. Forced to break wide though, has never delivered under harness here, and a minor place prospect at best
  108. JUDY MATIDY – Unseen since running 3rd of 16 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class C on 20 October. Will be race-rusty though and not an obvious choice
  109. HOMERE DES NOUES – Capable trotter making first appearance since running 7th of 14 in a 2625m Paray-le-Monial Class F late-October. On back row and with shoes on will have nothing to contribute
  110. JAVA DAIRPET – 8th of 9 finishers in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class D on 11 February. Here for a change of scenery and poses no danger
  111. INDIC – Unseen since running 3rd of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class D late-September. Always runs on his merits though and looks a serious proposition
  112. IDEAL DE SASSY – Hardy individual making first start since coming 3rd of 14 in a 2500m Reims Class F last October. Boasts decent Argentan references but still best to hold off
  113. IMPERATOR D’EM – Starts for first time since coming 6th of 16 in a 2800m Vire Class E on 20 November and has nothing going for him here
  114. SIDNEY CELEBER – Sports 4 pads for first time after being sanctioned in a 2200m Caen Class D 9 days ago. Eric Raffin maintains faith though and can play a leading role if he successfully navigates the start
  115. IKYTA DE LA VALLEE – Tricky mare making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class D late-September. Shoes on and is not about to influence the outcome
Summary: It took numerous runs and 15 months since leaving Scandinavia before MAGGIORE (SWE) (3) opened her French account, but was so impressive at Agen that she could well confirm. At Cherbourg last month though, JOKER DE CHOISEL (1) looked like the horse he was last spring and even though starting on the rail, still looks the main threat. A reconfigured SIDNEY CELEBER (15) has been handed a tough draw but is significantly better than his formcard would suggest and Eric Raffin will be keen to set the record straight. Also on the back row, INDIC (12) has not been seen out since September but is plainly in race-mode and will be competitive for the win.
