R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE SALAGNAC – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 46,000
- ETOILE DU OZ – Yet to impress in France this year, latterly sanctioned in a 2550m Reims Class E last week, and can be ruled out
- ERGA OMNES PAR – Sanctioned here late-February before repeating in a 2150m Enghien harness Class D 2.5 weeks ago, and debuts in the discipline with a snowball’s chance
- KRISTALE D’ERABLE – Returns to racing left-handed after being quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Is by no means devoid of ability however and is not to be underestimated
- KAVIVE – Sanctioned early when heavily-backed in a 2875m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago, but is a mare of considerable ability and will be no soft touch if Victor Saussaye keeps her focused
- KACEY BELL – Returns to ridden code after running 6th of 16 in a 2875m Enghien harness Class D 10 days ago. Will have no issue with the inner course and is expected to finish close
- KERIDA DE VIVOIN – Confirmed Nantes harness form when 3rd of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago. Is not about to open her monte account but has been reconfigured and is unlikely to finish out of first 5
- KINDY PERRINE – Got somewhat back in the game when 4th of 10, a place behind KERIDA DE VIVOIN (6), in a 2875m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago. A repeat however seems improbable
- KEA DES RACQUES – Takes first competitive ridden steps after faulting in a 2875m Enghien Class D 10 days ago. Sports a fresh formula and with Anthony Barrier in the bike will be afforded every chance
- JASMINE DE NEUVY – Justifiably well-regarded mare that ran a pleasant 8th of 13 behind ETOILE DU OZ (1) in a 2700m Class E here a month back. Competitively shod this time and on good behaviour can impose
- KENIDILLE – Complicated but useful type that was sanctioned in a 2700m Class D here late-January. Has better references when shod and, with application, can bring the fight to JASMINE DE NEUVY (9)
Summary: As complicated as she is talented, JASMINE DE NEUVY (9) gets to run over a more even surface this time, sports an earlier formula, and can win this if Adrien Lamy keeps her trotting. KENIDILLE (10) is not the easiest to manage either but she reverts to racing shod and will have been prepared for this. KAVIVE (4) has excellent references under the saddle and, if applied, can run interference. KACEY BELL (5) is back to her code of preference and sports a new configuration for the occasion.

C2 – PRIX ADRASTEA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LE ROCKER DE PLAY – 8th of 15, on return to competition, in a 2450m Caen Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and making first 5 is well within his capacity
- LODEN D’HERFRAIE – Last of 11 on re-entry in a 2200m Caen Class E on 17 March and is going to need the run
- LEBARON D’OURVILLE – Won a brace in January but subsequently sanctioned in a Class D over track and trip on 23 February. Sports a new configuration but still not an obvious choice
- LORD TURGOT – Decent 4th of 12 behind LUCIFER DU PONT (7) in a Class D under these conditions on 18 February. Gets to race first-time barefoot and can make this his own
- L’AVIS DU CHAILLOU – Won over short track mid-February before being sanctioned early in a Class D over course and distance 9 days later. Front pads fitted this time and others easier to back
- LUCKY DU DONJON – Made it 2 straight victories when comfortably winning a Class E over course and distance late last month. In better company this time but can still pick up some prizemoney
- LUCIFER DU PONT – Made the frame here twice last month but most recently faulted in a 2875m Argentan Class D last week. Should not be too hastily-judged though and Anthony Barrier will be keen to put things right
- LOVE D’AUTHISE – Respectable 4th of 9 in a monte Class D under these conditions on 17 February. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- LIVANTO KALOUMA – Made up for Vincennes sanction when successful in a 2875m Meslay Class E 10 days ago and returns to the capital with high morale and a good hand to play. Chance
- LAST DES BROUSSES – Put a pair of sanctions behind him to run 2nd of 12 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Lebourgeois keeps the faith and will have a lot to contribute if he keeps his charge focused
- LIQUIDATEUR – Imposed at Bordeaux late-December before faulting in a Class D under these conditions on 16 February. Has had time to recalibrate, has previously imposed over 2700m, and has never failed to deliver for Alexandre Abrivard
- LOWENDAL – Well-regarded colt making first appearance since finishing last of 8 in a 2950m Vichy Class C last September and will need the race
- LEBOSS D’HAVAROCHE – Makes first start since faulting in a monté Class C over course and distance on 12 January. Is plainly in competition mode and with stride in check can make a big splash
Summary: Patently talented but not the easiest of horses to manage, LORD TURGOT (4) has 3 runs under his belt since the break and, barefoot for the first time, can get off the mark for 2025. Both LIVANTO KALOUMA (9) and LAST DES BROUSSES (10) were sanctioned that day but the former went on to win at Meslay-du-Maine, while the latter ran 2nd at Enghien. Just 400 Euros from elimination, LEBOSS D’HAVAROCHE (13) goes barefoot for the occasion and will be reunited with Eric Raffin.

C3 – PRIX AEMILIA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KRACK CLEA – Good dual-discipline type returning to the harness code after easily winning a ridden Class E over course and distance a month ago. Shoes on this time and no threat
- KOQUIN D’AMOUR – Ran 2nd to KRAKANTE (12) last month before finishing last of 9 in a 2450m Caen conditioner last week. Barefoot this time and given his form over 2700m here, must be respected
- KELLE CLASS – 8th of 16 in a 2100m Class C here on 6 February. Will be fresh but stays shod and can be ruled out
- KEROSEN DU GERS – Put on quite the show in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago, running 2nd of 16 at 84/1. Races shod once more and confirmation anticipated
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Class C here on 21 February. Is seldom far from the action, but may just have too much to do this time
- KENOR DESBOIS – Has returned to competition in good shape, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 2700m Class D here a week ago. Takes on some good horses this time, but goes barefoot again and should not be underestimated
- KASH DES CAILLONS – Starts for first time since running 8th of 13 in a 2850m Gr.3 here on 1 December. Shoes on and will have nothing to contribute
- KEL PRESTANCE – Regularly a question of all-or-nothing, most recently sanctioned on re-entry in a 2450m Caen Class D last week. Goes barefoot this time and will be no pushover if Benjamin Rochard keeps him focused
- KALMIO DE LOU – 10th of 15 when preparing for this in a 2150m Enghien Class C 2 weeks ago. Eric Raffin back in the bike and can bring home the bacon if his charge replicates his penultimate run
- KISS WOOD – Has not been seen out since dominating a 2850m Mauquenchy Class A mid-November. Front pads fitted this time and best to hold off
- KEITHOS DU RHIN – Useful sort making first appearance since running 4th of 16 and a Class D over course and distance late-January. Is barefoot for re-entry and, while not a priority, is worth keeping an eye on
- KRAKANTE – Unlucky 7th of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C a fortnight ago. Won her only start at the venue and Yoann Lebourgeois will be eager to set the record straight. Chance
- KAID MARTIN – Enjoying something of a renaissance since starting to race barefoot, latterly comfortable winner of a 2625m Agen Class E on 3 March. Unlikely to repeat but can still figure prominently
- KOSY D’ERONVILLE – 4th of 13 behind KALINE DU LOCHEUR (5) in a 2850m Class C here on 21 February. Should again hold her own but is unlikely to influence the outcome
- KASSIOPEE WIND – Easily achieved her first objective of the season, winning a 2500m Bihorel-lès-Rouen Class F on 9 March. Nicely-engaged here and must be considered a contender
- KINNAIRD – 3rd over the short track before running 6th of 13 behind KALINE DU LOCHEUR (5) in a 2850m Class C here on 21 February and would be preferred a level down
Summary: A number in contention here but it is hard to fault the performance KALMIO DE LOU (9) put in here last month and, racing barefoot following his Enghien conditioner, can impose. He will still be opposed by KEROSEN DU GERS (4) whose latest effort across town was eye-catching, and KRAKANTE (12) who should not be too hastily-judged for her recent Enghien clinker. KASSIOPEE WIND (15) boasts an 80 percent win-rate when barefoot and returns to a track she likes with a good hand to play.

C4 – PRIX EOS – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - DELINDA LUBI – Makes French debut after winning over 1640m in Padua earlier this month but appears to be taking on too much this time
- DAFNE DI POGGIO – Solid as a rock since moving to the Bazire yard, most recently 2nd of 15 in a 2700m Class D here on 26 February. Yet to win over the main track but it will not stop JMB from trying. Chance
- VALLATONIAN – Put on a good show to come 4th of 14 to HUMANITY PELLINI (9) in a 2700m Class D here on 23 February and will not be sent out at 54/1 this time
- STRIKING EAGLE – Last but one to HUMANITY PELLINI (9) in a 2700m Class D here on 23 February and will need to find significantly more
- JUDGE D. – Takes first competitive Vincennes steps after running 4th of 10 over 1640m in Bergsåker on 22 February. Front shoes off but others still preferred
- DEMETRIO – 7th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Class C here a week ago. Reverts to a previous formula and although unplaced in 2 appearances under these conditions, is still easy to like for a minor place cheque
- PLAYBOY DE REVE – Quality trotter that made up for February blip when securing a 2150m Enghien Class D on 7 March and in similar condition can challenge for the win
- DAYAK (ITY) – 3rd over course and distance on 17 February but did not enjoy the best of trips when last of 13 in a Class C under similar conditions 11 days later. Is significantly better than that though and will be expected to set the record straight. First 5
- HUMANITY PELLINI – Classy Swedish raider that demolished a 2700m Cagnes Class E on 9 March. Faces a stiffer test this time but can still wrap this up
- JOMA OV – In the frame in last 3, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche earlier in the month. Goes well over 2850m on the main track and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- JENNY DE JOUDES – Has looked very ordinary of late, most recently 8th of 11 in a 2100m Class B here on 23 January. Front shoes off for re-entry but already looks an also-ran
Summary: HUMANITY PELLINI (9) has not missed a beat since coming south, winning 2 for 2, and has a realistic chance of pulling off the hat-trick. Eric Raffin will still be keeping an eye on the dynamic PLAYBOY DE REVE (7) who reassured at Enghien earlier this month, and DAFNE DI POGGIO (2) who has taken wonderfully to Vincennes conditions. JOMA OV (10) has been knocking at the door since the turn of the year, returns to conditions she appreciates, and has been reconfigured for the occasion.

C5 – PRIX PENTHESILEA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - GRANTORINO FONT – Makes French debut after finishing last of 7 over a mile at Wolvega 2 weeks ago and has a lot more to find
- MADE IN MARETTES – Makes first appearance since running 2nd of 12 in a 2200m Class C here 2 months ago. Has undeniable ability but may find the going a bit too tough this time
- GOLFO D’ESI – Won 2 of last 3, most recently over 2100m in Rome on 1 March, but takes on a serious bunch here and chances seem limited
- MARZIPAN – Excellent 2nd of 4 finishers on comeback in a 2850m Class B here on 26 February. Will have progressed for the run and is unlikely to be far from the action. Place chance
- MAESTRO VRIE – Good future prospect making first start since faulting in a 2200m Gr.3 here last October. Will have come on over the winter, is reunited with Alexandre Abrivard, and if applied can make a big impact
- MARQUETY DE BAILLY – 6th of 7 finishers behind MANASLU (10) in a Class A over course and distance on 23 February and has no possible chance
- GUGLIELMO JET – Made fine return from his spell when imposing comfortably over 2120m in Milan on 23 February. Has references in superior company and can win this if he takes to Vincennes conditions
- MISTRAL DU GOUTIER – Unthreatening, but respectable, 4th of 10 behind MANASLU (10) in a Class A over course and distance on 23 February. Unlikely to spring any surprises but should nevertheless hold his own
- MEMPHIS DE BRASSE – Reassuring 3rd of 10, a place behind MANASLU (10), in a Class A over course and distance on 23 February. Is not a priority but François Lagadeuc will still be expecting to finish in the mix
- MANASLU – Made solid re-entry on 23 February when 2nd of 10 in a Class A over course and distance. Has been given ample time to recover and has every chance of imposing
- MAT MANATHIS – 3rd in a Gr.3 here on 2 February before finishing last of 9 in a Gr.1 over track and trip on 16 February. Will be more at his ease at this level and can play a leading role
Summary: A quality colt with Gr.1 form at home in his native Italy, GUGLIELMO JET (7) won his San Siro freshener and looks eminently capable of winning this too. Alessandro Gocciadoro will nevertheless be wary of Philippe Allaire’s MANASLU (10) whose February comeback was particularly encouraging, and MAT MANATHIS (11) who drops in class following last month’s Gr.1 disappointment. MARZIPAN (4) put on a good show here late last month and Gabi Gelormini will be quietly confident.

C6 – PRIX LUCIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - IDYLLE DU PERSIL – Ended a decent run of form when last but one in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 21 February. Forced to start on the rail this time, races barefoot, and even with Anthony Barrier in the bike is unlikely to spice things up
- HEXCELLENTE – 5th over course and distance early-February before comfortably winning a 2700m Class E here later that month. Franck Nivard in the bike again and will be confident of getting her nose in front once more
- HIATUS – Lost his action early in a 2925m Cagnes Class D on 26 February. Has been handed a good draw here, is plainly in excellent shape, and will be dangerous if Eric Raffin gets him off on the right foot
- IRON D’ESPOIR – Completed the hat-trick when convincingly winning a 2675m Class F at Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne 11 days ago. Has decent references over the main track and from the 4-spot can play a leading role
- HOTEL MYSTIC – Disappointing 10th of 13 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class D on 17 March, but has otherwise been knocking at the door for some time. Nicely-positioned in front and Matthieu Abrivard will be keen to put things right
- HIGOR DAIRPET – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 March. Breaks in front and if still on the boil can challenge for a first-5 payout
- IVOIRE PRESTANCE – Sanctioned early in a 2875m Argentan Class D on re-entry last week. Shoes back on and others preferred
- GLOUGLOU D’EMI – 11th of 13 on comeback, a place behind HOTEL MYSTIC (5), in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class D on 17 March. Shoes on and no threat
- INDOCILE – Honest sort that was by no means disgraced when 6th of 16 behind HIGOR DAIRPET (6) in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 March. Has never failed to fire under these conditions and, barefoot this time, can get in on the action
- IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE – 4th at Cherbourg prior to running 5th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago. Handed an unfavourable draw and is unlikely to upset the apple-cart
- ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS – 3rd of 18 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F on 2 March. Has not put a foot wrong this year and it will not be long before he gets back in the winners’ enclosure. Chance
- HIT DE JOBI – 10th of 15 when preparing for this in a Class D over course and distance on 1 March. Appears to have lost his way and will need to reassure
- IXELLE BLEUE – Would have finished 3rd of 16 had she not faulted in a 2875m Argentan Class D last week. Lebourgeois maintains faith though but the draw will not help matters
- IGGYPOP D’HERFRAIE – Secured first goal of the year, winning a 2200m Caen Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Would have preferred a better draw but will have a lot to offer if still firing on all cylinders
- HAUDATIS – Last of 12 in a 2825m Chartres Class F on 16 March. Shoes on this time too and best to keep one’s powder dry
- HEAD OF STATE – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 March. Handed a rough draw but is dynamite when focused and must not be underestimated
Summary: Rejuvenated since returning to racing with pads, the superbly-engaged HEXCELLENTE (2) imposed with authority here on 26 February and from the 2-spot can repeat. Currently in fine fettle, and unshod behind for the occasion, ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS (11) may not be ideally-drawn but he won his only start under these conditions and thrives with JMB reining. IRON D’ESPOIR (4) has a decent record over 2100m here, is drawn 4, and returns to the capital on a 4-timer. HIATUS (3) placed twice over course and distance before being sanctioned at Cagnes late last month but is reunited with Eric Raffin and must be afforded respect.

C7 – PRIX FAMA – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - MERYTATON – Moderate sort that ran 5th of 10 in 8 February race of reference and is not about to trouble the judge
- MARINA JAMES – Well-beaten 2nd of 9 to MADRID HAUFOR (11) in a 2700m Class C here on 17 February, her first sortie at the venue. Looks a progressive sort and will not be returning home empty-handed
- MARION D’ATOUT – Lost her action when going well in a 2700m Gr.2 here mid-December. Unraced since but has the class to get straight back in the game. Claim
- MAMMA MIA – Respectable filly starting for the first time since losing her action in a 2700m Class A here on 18 January. Gabi Gelormini in the bike but cannot be considered a priority
- MOOREA DE CHANLECY – Flattering 3rd of 4 finishers in a 2850m Class B here late last month and can be confidently ruled out
- MY SAVE QUICK – Won over course and distance mid-January before taking on too much when 7th of 10 behind MISS DE LA COTE (7) in a 2700m Class A here on 8 February. If more at her ease this time, should logically show improvement
- MISS DE LA COTE – Back under harness after being sanctioned in a 2200m monté Class B here a month ago. Has fine harness credentials and deserves to be taken seriously
- MANHATTAN RAIN – Last but one behind MISS DE LA COTE (7) in a 2700m Class A here on 8 February and even with Eric Raffin reining, is unlikely to cause an upset
- MAYA BEE – Makes first appearance since finishing last of 9 finishers in 2700m Gr.2 Prix Une de Mai here mid-December. Not devoid of ability but others easier to trust
- MORNING NEWS – Consistent element making first appearance since running 5th of 12 in a 2700m Class B here on 4 December and will likely be race-rusty
- MADRID HAUFOR – Ran 3rd over short course before thrashing the opposition in a 2700m Class C here on 17 February. Comes here fresh and Damien Bonne will be justifiably eyeing the double
- MAESTRIA GALAA – Going well when she lost her action in a 2200m monte Gr.3 here mid-February. Has previously won over course and distance but cannot be considered a contender this time
- MOSTRA DE BANVILLE – Met no opposition en route to victory in a 2650m Bordeaux Class C 3 weeks ago. Has bags of untapped potential and will be dangerous if Théo Duvaldestin manages to keep her focused
- MIRISS DE GUEZ – Authoritative winner of a 2650m Bordeaux Class C on 8 March. Has yet to deliver on the Vincennes main track but has a lot going for her this time and is unlikely to disappoint
Summary: MARION D’ATOUT (3) may not have been seen out since being sanctioned in the Gr.2 Prix Une de Mai mid-December but she has talent in spades and can win this if David Thomain keeps her focused. Nothing is a given though considering how well MADRID HAUFOR (11) won here last month. MIRISS DE GUEZ (14) ran 5th that day before subsequently imposing across town, and can again figure prominently , but may first have to see off MOSTRA DE BANVILLE (13) who returns to Vincennes with her morale intact.

C8 – PRIX AMALTHEA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - MISTER DONALD – Oddly disappointing 11th of 15 in a 2100m Class D here on 26 February but has otherwise been in decent shape. Is not about to win this but is still good enough to make first 5
- HAPPY DANOVER – Sanctioned, on first start since his spell, in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago. Stays shod and best to wait
- FILOU SMILING – 3rd of 14, at 173/1, in a 2850m Laval Class D on 6 March but a repeat seems most improbable
- HOTLINE DE CARSI – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2775m Craon monte Class D last September and can be confidently disregarded
- HEMMA DE BRIKVIL – Fast-finishing 4th of 15, on comeback, in a 2150m Enghien Class C on 14 March. The run will have done her good and Matthieu Abrivard is an excellent replacement for his cousin. Place chance
- GIVE ME – 12th of 15 behind HEMMA DE BRIKVIL (5) in a 2150m Enghien Class C, on return to racing, 2 weeks ago. Boasts solid references under these conditions and is unlikely to be too far off the mark
- HORATIUS D’ELA – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one behind TOTO BAROSSO (14) in a 2850m Class C here late-November. Was in need of a break and with just pads fitted this time is unlikely to spring any surprises
- GABELOU CARISAIE – 6th of 11 finishers in a 2850m monte Class C here on 21 January. Never closer than 4th in as many starts over course and distance and will have few takers
- FANFARONNEUR – Defied his 217/1 price to finish 7th of 14 in a 2200m Caen Class D a fortnight ago but is unlikely to improve on that
- EMOI SPECIAL – Failed to confirm Le Croisé-Laroche performance when 10th of 12 finishers behind FANFARONNEUR (9) in a 2200m Caen Class D on 13 March and can be ruled out
- COBRA KILLER GAR – A performant model of consistency that made short work of a Class C over course and distance early this month. Excels over 2700m here and will take all the beating
- ISTER MAN – Makes another trip to Vincennes after having run 3rd of 11 in a Class B over 2700m here mid-February. Comes here fresh and looks the only real prospect capable of bringing the fight to COBRA KILLER GAR (11)
- FALCO DES ROCHERS – 8th of 14, a place behind FANFARONNEUR (9), in a 2200m Caen Class D a fortnight ago. Has never produced the goods over 2700m here and is not about to start
- TOTO BAROSSO – Ran 3rd over 2100m here before just missing out for victory in a 2825m Class D at Le Croise-Laroche 3 weeks ago. Has never delivered over the day’s distance but in current form is very easy to like
- FALCON D’ESPACE – Sanctioned on return from a spell in a 2875m Enghien monte Class B 10 days ago. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- GILMOUR – Not as sharp as he was just before the turn of the year, most recently 8th of 11 behind ISTER MAN (12) in a Class B over track and trip mid-February. Enjoys an excellent entry though and must not be ruled out
Summary: Simply remarkable for the past 13 months, COBRA KILLER GAR (11) has been beaten only once under these conditions and the nature of his latest victory augurs well for a repeat. Leading the opposition, ISTER MAN (12) drops down the category-ladder in fine form and does not make the long trip to Vincennes other than to win this. TOTO BAROSSO (14) has done nothing but improve recently and is reunited with JMB who knows him well. HEMMA DE BRIKVIL (5) gave a good account of herself on re-entry 2 weeks ago and will have come on for the race. Unplaced on her own comeback that day, GIVE ME (6) returns to conditions he appreciates and will be barefoot for the occasion.
