- REMOONDER – Filly by Recorder, the dam won 1 race in Germany. Should improve for this run, and she is likely to need further judged on her pedigree
Summary: GRAND ETTORE (8) makes plenty of appeal. He is a half-brother to the high-class Topgear, a multiple winner who has scored at both Group 2 and Group 3 level, and could make a winning debut. Preference is for him over BORN TO DARE (10), a half-sister to Silver Pond, a Pattern-class performer with victories in a Listed contest and three Group 2 races. DAYTON (5) also boasts a strong pedigree, being out of a mare who struck in Group 2 and Group 3 company. TODZING (2) is another to consider.

- UMAMI – Placed on the last two runs, 2nd at Parislongchamp on July 10th over 1600m in a handicap. Top-three chance
Summary: PURPLE LION (10) makes plenty of appeal in a competitive handicap after finishing a solid second at Clairefontaine earlier this month. He is narrowly preferred to ALKIDAN (2), who caught the eye when runner-up in a Granville maiden in June and remains open to improvement. MANNEVILLE (6) opened her account in good style at Clairefontaine last time and should be in the mix once again. - REVANCHE – Two unplaced efforts since a win over 1100m in a Class 3 handicap at Salon Provence on June 9th. Others rate higher
Summary: GRAND SCOOP (3) should be able to take this. He has been consistent since scoring at Saint-Cloud back in late April in a Class 2 event. His latest two fourth-place runs were both in that class. MEGARRY (4) looks the main threat. He won two runs back at Parislongchamp in a Class 2 handicap and acquitted himself well in a Class 2 at the same track 18 days ago. UN INSTANT (2) has plenty of talent, and if in the right frame of mind, he can feature. VICIOUS HARRY (1) heads the rest.

- MR DIAFOIRUS – Unplaced last time over 3000m in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud on June 13th. He will strip fitter this time and should not be ignored
Summary: GOYA SENORA (1) has been building towards a win and looks poised to strike. His fourth in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud in early June was a strong effort. COETZEE (2) has failed to land a blow in two starts since winning a Class 2 at Parislongchamp in April, but remains a serious contender at this level. MOON WOLF (6) has top-level form, having finished runner-up in the Group 1 Prix du Cadran, in 2023. The long absence raises fitness concerns. MR DIAFOIRUS (9) is another to consider,

Summary: KANDO (4) has shown consistent form with three placed efforts recently. He was a decent third in a maiden at Saint-Cloud earlier this month and looks fairly treated for his handicap debut. VIENTO DE LEVANTE (7) can make the selection work hard and has been knocking at the door with three second-place runs recently. GWO KA (5) looks like one for the each-way backers to latch on to. DANSE ETOILEE (8) looks best of the remainder.

LOCH AWE (4), who made a successful debut at Compiègne in June 2024, is likely to have come on for his reappearance at Lyon-Parilly and rates the main danger. GILDED DRAGON (1) is closely matched with the selection on official ratings and is capable of better than what he’s shown so far this year.

- YOUNG AND PROUD – Fair effort to be 2nd over 2000m in a handicap at Chantilly on July 8th on the last run. In the mix
Summary: DALAKIR (4) has been progressive this season. After breaking his maiden impressively at Le Lion d’Angers in April, he has acquitted himself well in handicaps, notably when a close second at Parislongchamp in late May. With further improvement likely, he can get his head back in front. BATAL YOUMZAIN (1) returns to the scene of his recent win over course and distance and should remain competitive despite shouldering top weight. GOOD SPEED (3) was fourth behind the selection in that strong Parislongchamp handicap and looks capable of grabbing a place again. Consistent FAITHFUL FRIEND (14) is a solid each-way prospect, while SPANISH PRINCE (2) can’t be ruled out on best form.

Summary: A cosy Class 2 winner at Tarbes last time out, MANEKI (6) is a nice horse on the making and could take a power of beating. He is the only three years old in the race and gets a valuable weight allowance. A game 5th in a Group 2 in Germany last May, SIR SILJAN (4) looks the biggest threat to the selection. - MANGUE – 3rd of 7 finishers, a place behind MADOVA DU RILER (11), in a 2225m Laon Class F on 29 June. Unlikely to get off the mark but is progressing all the while and can pick up a first-5 cheque

- MEFIANCE DU NOYER – Failed to confirm debut performance when last of 10 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 8 June and is unlikely to influence the result
- MILKA DES THUYAS – Respectable in all 4 runs last month, most recently 5th of 10, a place behind MICKAELLA (4), in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 28 June. Somewhat below-par that day but still has the wherewithal to play a small part
- MONA LE LOUP – Confirmed Le Touquet performance when runner-up to MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ (10) in a 2300m Abbeville Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on better this time but has learned her trade well and can get in on the action
- MUSE DE L’AVRE – Comfortable winner of a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class G on debut early-June. Steps up in category but won sufficiently well that day to be considered for the double
- MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ – Easy winner of a 2300m Abbeville Class H on career bow 2.5 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and Franck Ouvrie can be forgiven for feeling bullish. Chance
- MADOVA DU RILER – Placed in 2 of last 3, latterly 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2225m Laon Class F on 29 June. Has buckets of potential and, already proven here, must be considered a player
- MADRILENE – Back under harness after being eliminated in a 2525m monte Class E at Les Andelys on 6 July and has no possible chance
Summary: Winner on turf last month at the first time of asking, MUSE DE L’AVRE (9) finds totally different conditions this time but still looks good enough to win a race of this nature. Similarly victorious first time out, MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ (10) left a particularly good impression at Abbeville and looks the main danger. Runner-up late last month, MADOVA DU RILER (11) ran 3rd under these conditions during the spring and it will not be long before she loses her maiden status. MINI COOPER’S ERA (5) has shown promise and will not be far off the mark if Quentin Gaillard keeps her trotting.

- MILORD DU LORAULT – Sanctioned on debut but put things right on 22 June when winning a 2600m Class G at Châlons-en-Champagne. Nicely-related type with a lot of potential and despite the hike in category still looks a major player

- MY JIBAY – Runner-up in a Class Fat Biarritz on 22 July. Faces a much stiffer task in this division and will have limited aspirations

- MODEL DE JOUX – Came close only to be subsequently eliminated in a 2700m Class F here on 21 July. is plainly in rude health and with application will be no easy touch
- MARIEKE’S BOY – Has got his act together lately, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Unlikely to get his nose in front but still looks good enough to finish in the mix
- MONSTER WILLIAMS – Got off the mark at Bacqueville-en-Caux on 13 July in a Class H on turf. Takes a huge step up in grade and needs to show progress
- MISTER MEDLEY – Promising colt that comfortably won a 2900m Arras Class F on 29 June. Comes here fresh, well-entered, and with a realistic chance of doubling his money
Summary: Alain Laurent has some hot horses in his yard this season and after romping first time out, MEYDAN VOIRONS (8) is clearly one of them and looks ripe for a repeat. MODEL DE JOUX (9) came close to confirming his own Saint-Omer success when very unlucky here 10 days ago and, with his mind on the game, can set the record straight. MILORD DU LORAULT (5) got off the mark last month and will be partnered by Florian Desmigneux for the occasion. Terrifically-engaged here after having imposed at Arras a month ago, MISTER MEDLEY (12) is not incapable of confirming.

- LOVE DE BEAULIEU – 5th of 13 in a 2100m Lignieres Class F on 12 July. Is no star and at this level will have too much to do
- LOVA DE SANA – Opened her account at Nancy before being eliminated in a 2700m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Reliability may not be her strong suit but is worth keeping an eye on all the same
- LUMIERE DES ISLES – Won 2 in a row before surprisingly faulting in a 2850m Laval Class E on 6 July. Is a class above most here and looks set to remain unbeaten with her jockey
- LAZIE PONT VAUTIER – 4th of 11 behind LE VENT DU HOULET (7) in a 2400m Amiens Class E 12 days ago. Always gives her best and while not a priority, is clearly in good shape and can get in on the action
- LILIUM TUILERIE – Course and distance winner 3 months ago but tricky since, latterly last of nine in a 3025m Class E at Montier-en-Der on 19 July. Ability is not in question however and with application should not disappoint
- LE VENT DU HOULET – In the frame in all 3 monte starts to date, most recently 2nd of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class E 12 days ago. Is close to his race, and sports modified shoeing, but in this company looks more a first-5 chance

- LILOU D’ATOUT – Back under the saddle after finishing last of 10 in a 2700m harness Class E here 10 days ago. Pierre-Yves Verva in the irons this time but others still easier to back
- LOVE LETTERS FERM – 6th of 10 in a 2700m Class E here 10 days ago. Sports a fresh formula for return to the code but already looks out of her depth
- LOOK DU PARCQ – Imposed at Lyon-Parilly before running 4th of 11 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 19 June. Is plainly a good future prospect and unlikely to far off the mark. Place chance
- LA SOL FA – Subject to interference and subsequently eliminated in a 2850m Laval Class E on 6 July. Is new to La Capelle and would be preferred barefoot
- LEXA DE LA CROIX – 5th of 6 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E earlier this month. With stride in check could well contest the finish this time
Summary: Quite the revelation since switching codes, LUMIERE DES ISLES (4) must not be condemned for her Laval elimination and, reunited with Victor Saussaye, will be expected to put things right. LEXA DE LA CROIX (13) would have finished closer that day had she not faulted and, even though shod this time, is nevertheless well-engaged and looks the main threat. LOOK DU PARCQ (11) has taken particularly well to the ridden code and will appreciate returning to racing left-handed. LILIUM TUILERIE (6) may not be the easiest of horses to trust but he has already won under these conditions and will be barefoot once more.

- LIRYA DE REVE D’OR – Showed marked improvement when 2nd of 15 in a Class F over course and distance last Friday. Has been handed the ideal draw and Jean-Francois Senet will be eager to make hay
- LUNE LUMALO – Sprang something of a surprise when 2nd of 12 in a 3025m Class E at Montier-en-Der 12 days ago. Nicely-placed on front line but a repeat seems most improbable
- LISETTE DE WATOU – 10th of 15 behind LIRYA DE REVE D’OR (3) in a Class F over course and distance last Friday. Has been off the boil this year and can be passed over
- LALE – 5th of 13 in a Class F over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Starts on front line, appears to be close to her race, and on good behaviour can bring home the bacon
- LYALYA – Was not disgraced when 5th of 12 in a 3450m Agon Class F late last week, but still has more to find
- LICORNE DE L’AVRE – Sent off at evens but faulted in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June. Will not be too inconvenienced by the draw though and has a reasonable chance of imposing

- LIBERTY ZEN – Useful filly making first appearance since finishing last but one in a Class F under these conditions in early-May and is going to need the race
- LUMINA DES VAUX – Reassuring 2nd of 7 finishers in a 3150m Abbeville Class H 2.5 weeks ago but faces a much stiffer test this time around
- LARIA DU BELLAY – Imposed at Laval late-June but failed to repeat when 5th of 14 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 8 July. Is plainly in decent shape and can get a look in if her driver successfully navigates the start
- LADY DU CAPRE – Failed to confirm June success when 5th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Handed a tough draw but has been used little and racing barefoot will do her prospects no disservice
Summary: Although losing her action at Amiens last month, LICORNE DE L’AVRE (8) has nevertheless shown significant potential. She is forced to start wide but has been reconfigured and if applied can win this. Francois Lagadeuc will still want to be wary of front-line starter, and freshly-shod, LALE (6) whose recent run here was better than the result would suggest, and the in-form LIRYA DE REVE D’OR (3) who is ideally-positioned on the front row. LIBRA SUPREME (1) held her own on her recent comeback and steps up in category with a lot to contribute.

Summary: KITA DU RIB (3) can prove a handful but she has more than the required ability to win a race of this nature if she keeps her act together. KIBORA BUISSONAY (2) should come on a lot from her comeback run and without shoes this time, she looks a solid podium contender. It is often a case of all or nothing with KARMINA DU BREUCQ (4) but it would be very risky to ignore her. KADECOLE DE GUERRE (7) has placed three times in as many runs this year and is another one who must be shortlisted.

Summary: KING HEUVELLAND (8) has featured in better races than this recently and could prove too strong for his rivals. He is currently at the top of his game and looks hard to oppose. He can be retained ahead of KEOPS DE CASTELLE (5), who showed a nice rebound of form last time out, and KLASSIC D’ERIQUE (14), who appears to be on the right path at present after several months off. KYROC D’ERPION (1) is well entered and cannot be overlooked in a race of this nature.

- IOLAS – Last of 12 in a 2750m amateurs Class H at La Ferte-Vidame on 20 July. Is in competition-mode this time and from the front line looks a serious proposition. Chance
- INTEMPOREL – Made amends for a brace of eliminations when 4th of 13 in a 2700m Vittel Class F last Sunday. Is no slouch on a good day and should not be ruled out
- ICEMAN DU KLAU – 8th of 12 finishers in a 2625m amateurs Class G at Le Touquet 3 weeks ago. Has done little of note for some time and with shoes on is not easy to recommend
- HARLEY DE JANEIRO – Eliminated in a 2700m Class F here last Friday despite putting on an impressive show. Unlikely to impose but will not be available at 107/1 this time around
- GEANT D’OCCAGNES – 7th of 12 in a 3175m Saint-Omer amateurs Class G 11 days ago. Has nothing to offer in this category and will have few friends
- GREAT GATSBY – 9th of 14 in a 2600m Class E at Le Touquet 2.5 weeks ago. Would be preferred unshod and best to wait
- IMPACT DE L’ITON – 2nd of 14 in a 3025m Montier-en-Der amateurs Class H 12 days ago. In considerably better company here and the extra 25m will do his chances no favours
- GO CHICAGO – Eliminated when never dangerous in a Class F over course and distance earlier in the month and can be confidently passed over
- I LOVE IGNY – 5th of 14 in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class E late last month. Has been reconfigured for La Capelle bow and Franck Ouvrie will assure him a competitive drive
- ILIADE MENCOURT – Finished well to come 3rd of 12, a place behind HENZO DE CARSI (12), in a 2900m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Seldom gets her nose in front but is evidently close to her best and must be taken seriously
- HENZO DE CARSI – Runner-up in 3 of last 5, latterly a 2900m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Is plainly close to winning again and is shod as he was that day. Claim
- GALON D’AMIRAL – 7th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class E here late last week but raced better than the result would suggest. Enjoys a good entry and is unlikely to be too far from the action
Summary: Just headed in a similar category at Amiens earlier in the month, HENZO DE CARSI (12) starts with a penalty this time but still looks the one to beat. Back in shape, ILIADE MENCOURT (11) finished a place behind him that day and should again apply the pressure, as should a barefoot IOLAS (2) who is 25m better off. Thoroughly convincing here in early-July, IKA JOSSELYN (1) can again finish close.

- HISTOIRE DU LUPIN – Has needed both runs this year and finished 6th in Class F at Pornichet-La Baule over 2725m on 24 July. Fitter now and can contest the finish
- EMIR SPEEDHYCAT – Disqualified at Le Mans on 15 July. Hs major disqualification issues and is probably best watched for now
- FIFTY WINNER – Unreliable and finished 3rd in Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne over 2775m on 12 July. Might play a minor role at best
Summary: An interesting lucky last race. IBIS DU LYS (2) fluffed his lines with a disqualification at Plessé earlier this week but can bounce back and score. HISTOIRE DU LUPIN (12) hasn’t won since 2022 but has needed her last two runs and could be a threat this time around. INGLORIOUS (9) has struggled of late but is better judged on some solid form earlier this year. HALAFOLY ROBSEN (11) is unreliable but clearly capable of winning.
