  3. ABBA CHOP – Gelding by Gutaifan, the dam won 5 races. One to watch in the betting for any support
  4. REACH THE STARS – Gelding by Olympic Glory, the dam won 2 races. Can be expected to need this run, and he is best watched on his debut

  6. CLASSIC SOVEREIGN – Gelding by Ten Sovereigns, the dam never ran. Likely to need this run and is best watched for any market moves

  9. STAR OF ARTABAN – Gelding by Dark Angel, the dam ran twice. Stable runners tend to improve for a run or two. Monitor the betting patterns
  10. BORN TO DARE – Filly by City Light, the dam never ran. This filly is a half-sister to Silver Pond , who has won a Listed race and 3 Group 2 races. She will be well-tuned for this opening run
  11. FLOWERY COAST – Filly by Waldgeist, the dam was placed. Likely to improve for this debut run and is best watched for any market support
  12. REMOONDER – Filly by Recorder, the dam won 1 race in Germany. Should improve for this run, and she is likely to need further judged on her pedigree
Summary: GRAND ETTORE (8) makes plenty of appeal. He is a half-brother to the high-class Topgear, a multiple winner who has scored at both Group 2 and Group 3 level, and could make a winning debut. Preference is for him over BORN TO DARE (10), a half-sister to Silver Pond, a Pattern-class performer with victories in a Listed contest and three Group 2 races. DAYTON (5) also boasts a strong pedigree, being out of a mare who struck in Group 2 and Group 3 company. TODZING (2) is another to consider.

Summary: ESTHETE (3) showed marked progress when third at Chantilly in a maiden over 1200m earlier this month on her second start. She can get off the mark in this drop-in class. TEN ICE (7) could be the main threat. She shaped with promise at Deauville on debut this month and can be expected to improve from that run. TEN ICE (7) has plenty of experience and won well in a claimer at Saint-Cloud in May. He can not be ignored. ANADONIYA (10) is another to consider each way.

  36. UMAMI – Placed on the last two runs, 2nd at Parislongchamp on July 10th over 1600m in a handicap. Top-three chance
Summary: PURPLE LION (10) makes plenty of appeal in a competitive handicap after finishing a solid second at Clairefontaine earlier this month. He is narrowly preferred to ALKIDAN (2), who caught the eye when runner-up in a Granville maiden in June and remains open to improvement. MANNEVILLE (6) opened her account in good style at Clairefontaine last time and should be in the mix once again. NOTA BENE (5) is chasing a hat-trick and merits respect despite the likely rise in class.

  46. REVANCHE – Two unplaced efforts since a win over 1100m in a Class 3 handicap at Salon Provence on June 9th. Others rate higher
Summary: GRAND SCOOP (3) should be able to take this. He has been consistent since scoring at Saint-Cloud back in late April in a Class 2 event. His latest two fourth-place runs were both in that class. MEGARRY (4) looks the main threat. He won two runs back at Parislongchamp in a Class 2 handicap and acquitted himself well in a Class 2 at the same track 18 days ago. UN INSTANT (2) has plenty of talent, and if in the right frame of mind, he can feature. VICIOUS HARRY (1) heads the rest.

  53. CANATIYANN – Won on the only run over 2200m at Dieppe on June 14th in a conditions race. Tough ask in a strong race, and he lacks experience
  54. ANNABEL’S GHOST – 5th on the latest run in a Group 3 race at Parislongchamp on April 27th over 3000m. Outside place chance
  55. MR DIAFOIRUS – Unplaced last time over 3000m in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud on June 13th. He will strip fitter this time and should not be ignored
Summary: GOYA SENORA (1) has been building towards a win and looks poised to strike. His fourth in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud in early June was a strong effort. COETZEE (2) has failed to land a blow in two starts since winning a Class 2 at Parislongchamp in April, but remains a serious contender at this level. MOON WOLF (6) has top-level form, having finished runner-up in the Group 1 Prix du Cadran, in 2023. The long absence raises fitness concerns. MR DIAFOIRUS (9) is another to consider,

  65. AMIRAL D’AUMONT – Three unplaced efforts of late, the latest over 2000m in a handicap at Chantilly on July 8th. Looks vulnerable
  66. VENDOMYA – Fair 2nd over 3000m at Saint-Cloud on June 29th in a handicap last time. Capable of being on the premises
Summary: KANDO (4) has shown consistent form with three placed efforts recently. He was a decent third in a maiden at Saint-Cloud earlier this month and looks fairly treated for his handicap debut. VIENTO DE LEVANTE (7) can make the selection work hard and has been knocking at the door with three second-place runs recently. GWO KA (5) looks like one for the each-way backers to latch on to. DANSE ETOILEE (8) looks best of the remainder.

  71. HALEINE – Three unplaced runs of late, 10th at Clairefontaine on July 2nd over 1800m in a Class 3 race. Can be on the premises if returning to form
Summary: PRINCE DE MONTFORT (3) should strip fitter for his recent outing at Clairefontaine earlier this month in a Class 3 event and is taken to get back to winning ways. LOCH AWE (4), who made a successful debut at Compiègne in June 2024, is likely to have come on for his reappearance at Lyon-Parilly and rates the main danger. GILDED DRAGON (1) is closely matched with the selection on official ratings and is capable of better than what he’s shown so far this year.

  82. VENETIAN BEAUTY – 6th last time, a win before that over 1600m at Le Mans on May 3rd in a maiden race. Handicap debut and others seem better equipped

  84. SAMWEST – Three unplaced runs of late, well beaten over 2200m at Parislongchamp on June 19th in a handicap. Opposable

  86. TAKE ME I’M YOURS – Two unplaced runs since a win over 2000m at Chantilly on April 10th in a handicap. Avoidable
  87. YOUNG AND PROUD – Fair effort to be 2nd over 2000m in a handicap at Chantilly on July 8th on the last run. In the mix
Summary: DALAKIR (4) has been progressive this season. After breaking his maiden impressively at Le Lion d’Angers in April, he has acquitted himself well in handicaps, notably when a close second at Parislongchamp in late May. With further improvement likely, he can get his head back in front. BATAL YOUMZAIN (1) returns to the scene of his recent win over course and distance and should remain competitive despite shouldering top weight. GOOD SPEED (3) was fourth behind the selection in that strong Parislongchamp handicap and looks capable of grabbing a place again. Consistent FAITHFUL FRIEND (14) is a solid each-way prospect, while SPANISH PRINCE (2) can’t be ruled out on best form.

Summary: VALSE AREDIENNE AA (5) has been consistent so far and finds here a great opportunity to break her maiden tag. DIVINE DE LENZAC AA (1) is not devoid of ability but looks held on form by stablemate VALSE AREDIENNE AA (5) and has more of a place chance. FLINTILIE AA (2) was far from disgraced when 4th behind the front two selections at Tarbes early June and can get a look in on the back of this effort. MALAKA (4) was a good finisher first time out early May at Bordeaux and with the natural improvement, she could make a big impact. Newcomer FAYDA (9) is from a top stable and warrants some consideration. ASAALAH (14) is another first time starter that merits consideration for trainer Elisabeth Bernard.

  38. CALISCO – Consistent and was fourth in a handicap at Toulouse over 2000m on 4 March. Returns from a break but could make the frame if fit
  39. CHERGUI – Disappointing last run when 12th in a handicap at Vichy over 2800m on 17 July. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  40. AGADOR – A winner of tent races so far, including last time out in a Conditions race at Pompadour over 1600m on 6 July. Can get involved with the finish once again
  41. SIR SILJAN – Has some fair form of late and finished 5th in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 2400m on 24 June. Can contest the finish
  42. THE TOP GATSBY – Unbeaten in two starts at this track and was third in a Conditions race at Toulouse over 2400m on 22 June. Should be competitive in this line-up
  43. MANEKI – A winner of two of three starts, including last time out in a Conditions race at Tarbes over 2100m on 5 June. Improving and should make a bold bid
Summary: A cosy Class 2 winner at Tarbes last time out, MANEKI (6) is a nice horse on the making and could take a power of beating. He is the only three years old in the race and gets a valuable weight allowance. A game 5th in a Group 2 in Germany last May, SIR SILJAN (4) looks the biggest threat to the selection. AGADOR (3) enjoyed a boost of confidence in a small race on sand last time out and must be closely monitored back on turf. THE TOP GATSBY (5) is unbeaten in two starts at this course.

  54. DI BAHIA – Has shown little so far but did finish fifth at San Sebastián over 2000m on 6 July. Needs to show vast improvement to win
Summary: BIG DREAM CEN (3) beat easily four of today’s rivals when he went off the mark at the track on 2 July and seems to be on a very workable mark on his handicap debut. HANMER SPRINGS (5) disappointed last time out but had run a rock solid race the time before and could spring a surprise. MARVELOUS BY NIGHT (1) carries a lot of weight but is very effective in this handicap division and warrants respect. MIRAGE BLOU (4) is sure to run his race but may find a couple too good once again.

  63. NOSTRA TERRA CHOPE – Showed little on debut when eighth in a claimer at Mont-de-Marsan over 1400m on 1 July. Can improve but others are preferred
Summary: CATH HOCHE (2) boasts the highest rating in this modest line-up and seems to face a slightly easier task than in her last run at Vichy. She is the selection ahead of AMAZING CHRISTMAS (6) who takes a significant drop in class which could prove just enough to see her get off the mark. MISS HENNESSY (4) is sure to improve from her debut race at MONT DE MARSAN on 16 July and must have a chance too. ALL IN PINK (3) was well backed on debut and could spring a surprise.

  74. GALACTICO – Yet to win a race and was tenth in a Conditions race at this course over 2100m on 23 July. Capable of better and could play a minor role
  75. ELIOTT CHOP – Has struggled of late and was tenth in a handicap at this course over 2300m on 2 July. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  76. BALGEES TIME – Unreliable but finished fourth in a handicap at Dax over 2300m on 23 July. Suited by this distance and has an each-way chance in this line-up
  77. PEYRASSOL – Only win was at this course. Also finished fifth in a handicap at this track over 2300m on 2 July. Might play a minor role at best
Summary: PATERNOSTER SQUARE (1) showed signs of a return to form last time out and should enjoy the rise in trip. Although he carries the top-weigh, he has a likeable profile in an open race and gets the vote. Winner of the last two editions of this race, PLATEADO (5) would not cause a big surprise if he were to make it three. SAKURACHAN (3) posted a good late finish effort at Senonnes and is not one to be underestimated. PRINCE OF DAWN (7) has shown in his last two starts that he is on a workable mark and a win could be near.

  91. MANDALAY PONTADOUR AA – A three-year-old filly by Paban De France AA out of Dream Pontadour AA, making her debut. Unlikely to trouble the judge on debut
Summary: FANTASTIQUE AA (9) showed some nice progress in her second start and could take another step forward to get off the mark. EMBORIO AA (2) has done little wrong in two runs thus far and looks a solid winning option too. MORFALOU AA (1) was just a nose behind FANTASTIQUE AA (9) at Mont de Marsan on 1 July and must be hugely respected on the back of this performance. PERLE RARE’JAC AA (10) has a good each-way chance.

  3. MANGUE – 3rd of 7 finishers, a place behind MADOVA DU RILER (11), in a 2225m Laon Class F on 29 June. Unlikely to get off the mark but is progressing all the while and can pick up a first-5 cheque
  4. MICKAELLA – Went close at Saint-Omer prior to coming 4th of 10 behind MICKAELLA (4) in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 28 June. In even more competitive company here and chances limited
  5. MINI COOPER’S ERA – Produced a pair of good efforts before being eliminated in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F 11 days ago. Has evident talent and on good behaviour will be competitive for a step on the podium
  6. MEFIANCE DU NOYER – Failed to confirm debut performance when last of 10 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 8 June and is unlikely to influence the result
  7. MILKA DES THUYAS – Respectable in all 4 runs last month, most recently 5th of 10, a place behind MICKAELLA (4), in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 28 June. Somewhat below-par that day but still has the wherewithal to play a small part
  8. MONA LE LOUP – Confirmed Le Touquet performance when runner-up to MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ (10) in a 2300m Abbeville Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on better this time but has learned her trade well and can get in on the action
  9. MUSE DE L’AVRE – Comfortable winner of a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class G on debut early-June. Steps up in category but won sufficiently well that day to be considered for the double
  10. MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ – Easy winner of a 2300m Abbeville Class H on career bow 2.5 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and Franck Ouvrie can be forgiven for feeling bullish. Chance
  11. MADOVA DU RILER – Placed in 2 of last 3, latterly 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2225m Laon Class F on 29 June. Has buckets of potential and, already proven here, must be considered a player
  12. MADRILENE – Back under harness after being eliminated in a 2525m monte Class E at Les Andelys on 6 July and has no possible chance
Summary: Winner on turf last month at the first time of asking, MUSE DE L’AVRE (9) finds totally different conditions this time but still looks good enough to win a race of this nature. Similarly victorious first time out, MAMZELLE D’ARBAZ (10) left a particularly good impression at Abbeville and looks the main danger. Runner-up late last month, MADOVA DU RILER (11) ran 3rd under these conditions during the spring and it will not be long before she loses her maiden status. MINI COOPER’S ERA (5) has shown promise and will not be far off the mark if Quentin Gaillard keeps her trotting.

  14. MORI DE VIVE – Showed significant progress when r!nner-up in a Class G at Saint-Omer on 20 July but faces a much tougher assignment here. Not a priority
  15. MYSTERIOUS LOVE – Showed nice progress when 2nd in a Class G at Le Touquet on turf on 14 July. has a few lengths to find here and others are preferred
  16. MAMBO PLANCHETTE – Produced best performance to date when 2nd of 12 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche mid-June. Not a priority but is still not going home empty-handed. First 5
  17. MILORD DU LORAULT – Sanctioned on debut but put things right on 22 June when winning a 2600m Class G at Châlons-en-Champagne. Nicely-related type with a lot of potential and despite the hike in category still looks a major player
  18. MAXIM D’HERTALS – Yet to win a race after six starts. Well beaten §th at Nancy in a Class F on 27 June. Has work to do
  19. MY JIBAY – Runner-up in a Class Fat Biarritz on 22 July. Faces a much stiffer task in this division and will have limited aspirations
  20. MEYDAN VOIRONS – Made short work on debut of a 3025m Class F at Montier-en-Der 12 days ago. Will have progressed for the race and despite the new conditions still looks the pick of the field
  21. MODEL DE JOUX – Came close only to be subsequently eliminated in a 2700m Class F here on 21 July. is plainly in rude health and with application will be no easy touch
  22. MARIEKE’S BOY – Has got his act together lately, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Unlikely to get his nose in front but still looks good enough to finish in the mix
  23. MONSTER WILLIAMS – Got off the mark at Bacqueville-en-Caux on 13 July in a Class H on turf. Takes a huge step up in grade and needs to show progress
  24. MISTER MEDLEY – Promising colt that comfortably won a 2900m Arras Class F on 29 June. Comes here fresh, well-entered, and with a realistic chance of doubling his money
Summary: Alain Laurent has some hot horses in his yard this season and after romping first time out, MEYDAN VOIRONS (8) is clearly one of them and looks ripe for a repeat. MODEL DE JOUX (9) came close to confirming his own Saint-Omer success when very unlucky here 10 days ago and, with his mind on the game, can set the record straight. MILORD DU LORAULT (5) got off the mark last month and will be partnered by Florian Desmigneux for the occasion. Terrifically-engaged here after having imposed at Arras a month ago, MISTER MEDLEY (12) is not incapable of confirming.

  27. LOVA DE SANA – Opened her account at Nancy before being eliminated in a 2700m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Reliability may not be her strong suit but is worth keeping an eye on all the same
  28. LUMIERE DES ISLES – Won 2 in a row before surprisingly faulting in a 2850m Laval Class E on 6 July. Is a class above most here and looks set to remain unbeaten with her jockey
  29. LAZIE PONT VAUTIER – 4th of 11 behind LE VENT DU HOULET (7) in a 2400m Amiens Class E 12 days ago. Always gives her best and while not a priority, is clearly in good shape and can get in on the action
  30. LILIUM TUILERIE – Course and distance winner 3 months ago but tricky since, latterly last of nine in a 3025m Class E at Montier-en-Der on 19 July. Ability is not in question however and with application should not disappoint
  31. LE VENT DU HOULET – In the frame in all 3 monte starts to date, most recently 2nd of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class E 12 days ago. Is close to his race, and sports modified shoeing, but in this company looks more a first-5 chance
  32. LUNA DE JOUDES – Useful filly making ridden debut after running 7th of 9 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle mid-June. Has already won under harness here and makes her monte bow with a good hand to play
  33. LILOU D’ATOUT – Back under the saddle after finishing last of 10 in a 2700m harness Class E here 10 days ago. Pierre-Yves Verva in the irons this time but others still easier to back
  34. LOVE LETTERS FERM – 6th of 10 in a 2700m Class E here 10 days ago. Sports a fresh formula for return to the code but already looks out of her depth
  35. LOOK DU PARCQ – Imposed at Lyon-Parilly before running 4th of 11 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 19 June. Is plainly a good future prospect and unlikely to far off the mark. Place chance
  36. LA SOL FA – Subject to interference and subsequently eliminated in a 2850m Laval Class E on 6 July. Is new to La Capelle and would be preferred barefoot
  37. LEXA DE LA CROIX – 5th of 6 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E earlier this month. With stride in check could well contest the finish this time
Summary: Quite the revelation since switching codes, LUMIERE DES ISLES (4) must not be condemned for her Laval elimination and, reunited with Victor Saussaye, will be expected to put things right. LEXA DE LA CROIX (13) would have finished closer that day had she not faulted and, even though shod this time, is nevertheless well-engaged and looks the main threat. LOOK DU PARCQ (11) has taken particularly well to the ridden code and will appreciate returning to racing left-handed. LILIUM TUILERIE (6) may not be the easiest of horses to trust but he has already won under these conditions and will be barefoot once more.

  39. LENDAMA – Handy filly starting for first time since running 4th of 13 in a 2550m Reims Class E last November and will not be given a hard race
  40. LIRYA DE REVE D’OR – Showed marked improvement when 2nd of 15 in a Class F over course and distance last Friday. Has been handed the ideal draw and Jean-Francois Senet will be eager to make hay
  41. LUNE LUMALO – Sprang something of a surprise when 2nd of 12 in a 3025m Class E at Montier-en-Der 12 days ago. Nicely-placed on front line but a repeat seems most improbable
  42. LISETTE DE WATOU – 10th of 15 behind LIRYA DE REVE D’OR (3) in a Class F over course and distance last Friday. Has been off the boil this year and can be passed over
  43. LALE – 5th of 13 in a Class F over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Starts on front line, appears to be close to her race, and on good behaviour can bring home the bacon
  44. LYALYA – Was not disgraced when 5th of 12 in a 3450m Agon Class F late last week, but still has more to find
  45. LICORNE DE L’AVRE – Sent off at evens but faulted in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June. Will not be too inconvenienced by the draw though and has a reasonable chance of imposing
  46. LADY BELL – Had been on an upward trajectory when eliminated in a 2600m Le Touquet Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has pulled a tough number but has evident ability and can play a small part if Florian Desmigneux keeps her focused
  47. LADY MIDNIGHT – Has not raced since finishing 8th of 12 behind LIRYA DE REVE D’OR (3) in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche mid-June, and will have few takers
  48. LADY DU MIREL – Received a resounding thumbs-up for running 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2175m Saint-Omer Class F 11 days ago but chances of a repeat seem slim
  49. LILI DE POMMERAYE – Eliminated on re-entry in a 3450m Agon Class F late last week. On back line here but has been entrusted to Pierre-Yves Verva and, barefoot for the occasion, will be no pushover
  50. LIBERTY ZEN – Useful filly making first appearance since finishing last but one in a Class F under these conditions in early-May and is going to need the race
  51. LUMINA DES VAUX – Reassuring 2nd of 7 finishers in a 3150m Abbeville Class H 2.5 weeks ago but faces a much stiffer test this time around
  52. LARIA DU BELLAY – Imposed at Laval late-June but failed to repeat when 5th of 14 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 8 July. Is plainly in decent shape and can get a look in if her driver successfully navigates the start
  53. LADY DU CAPRE – Failed to confirm June success when 5th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class F 3 weeks ago. Handed a tough draw but has been used little and racing barefoot will do her prospects no disservice
Summary: Although losing her action at Amiens last month, LICORNE DE L’AVRE (8) has nevertheless shown significant potential. She is forced to start wide but has been reconfigured and if applied can win this. Francois Lagadeuc will still want to be wary of front-line starter, and freshly-shod, LALE (6) whose recent run here was better than the result would suggest, and the in-form LIRYA DE REVE D’OR (3) who is ideally-positioned on the front row. LIBRA SUPREME (1) held her own on her recent comeback and steps up in category with a lot to contribute.

Summary: KITA DU RIB (3) can prove a handful but she has more than the required ability to win a race of this nature if she keeps her act together. KIBORA BUISSONAY (2) should come on a lot from her comeback run and without shoes this time, she looks a solid podium contender. Summary: Just headed in a similar category at Amiens earlier in the month, HENZO DE CARSI (12) starts with a penalty this time but still looks the one to beat. Back in shape, ILIADE MENCOURT (11) finished a place behind him that day and should again apply the pressure, as should a barefoot IOLAS (2) who is 25m better off.
