JOY JENILOU (13) is talented but does give a 50m start to that rival. HURRICANE STEED (9) is usually in the thick of things and should be involved in the finish once again. - JUST DAYDREAM – Eliminated in a 3000m Rochefort-sur-Loire Class F on 20 July. Has been out of sorts for some months and needs to get her house in order
- JOLICOEUR DU MIREL – Failed to live up to expectations when 8th of 9, a place behind JANGO ANGELE (3), in a 2900m Clairefontaine amateurs Class H on 20 July. Is a tough nut when focused and must not be overlooked
- JANGO ANGELE – 8th of 10 in a 2900m Amiens amateurs Class G a week ago. Goes barefoot this time and on good behaviour can get in on the action
- HE MISS DEIHA – Has taken well to the amateur division, most recently winning a 2750m Class G at La Capelle on 21 July. Benefits from a front row start once again and can repeat
- HEAVEN JIEL – 3rd of 12 to HE MISS DEIHA (4) in a 2750m amateurs Class G at La Capelle on 21 July. Is plainly in fine shape and easy to like for a place in the frame
- IDEAL DE FOUQUE – Got back in the game 2.5 weeks ago when 4th of 10 in a 2900m Amiens amateurs Class G. Shoes back on though and chances of a repeat seem slim
- GAZON DE LA VALLEE – 3rd of 15 in a 3125m Plesse amateurs Class H last week. Less competitively-shod this time and others preferred
- ILEVEN – In the frame in last 4, most recently 2nd of 13 in a 2750m amateurs Class H at La Ferté-Vidame 2.5 weeks ago. In marginally better company but is still a leading candidate
- HOLP UP SAUTREUIL – Sanctioned early in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Takes a notable dip in category and with application can figure prominently
- ILLUMINATI – Returns to the amateur code after finishing last but one in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 11 July and is not about to generate much interest
- HARIBELLE DANOVER – 7th of 14 in a 2700m Graignes amateurs monte Class G 11 days ago. Enjoys a good entry at the limit of earnings and is unlikely to be too far from the action
Summary: Despite being forced to race nose to the wind at La Capelle recently, HE MISS DEIHA (4) nevertheless imposed her will and a similar effort would see her double up. Third that day, HEAVEN JIEL (5) is 25m worse off this time but still looks competitively well in. He may however first have to see off 2nd line starter ILEVEN (8) who has hardly put a foot out of line all year, and HOLP UP SAUTREUIL (9) who drops sufficiently in class to make his candidacy considerably more interesting.

- MAYA DES BAUX – Pleasant 4th of 12 in a 2700m Vittel Class E on 27 July but in this company has no possible chance
- MOTS BLEUS – Starts for first time since running 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Graignes Class E 2 months ago. In notably better company and is unlikely to paint the town red

- MIRAGE DE KARMEL – Made up for early-July sanction when 2nd only to a very good colt in a 2950m Le Mans Class F 3 weeks ago, and seems thoroughly capable of opening his account
- MIDNIGHT WAY – Good, consistent sort that ran 3rd of 13 in a 2200m Agon Class E on 25 July. Steps up in category but still looks competitive for a first-5 cheque
- MANGO PAULO – Never at his ease when last of 12 in a 2200m Caen Class D on 23 June. Is plainly better than that and will be expected to bounce back and challenge for the win this time
- MULANE DU BOCAGE – Opened her account in early-June, then ran 5th of 8 finishers in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 12 July. Is more competitive in this category and will be no soft touch
Summary: A promising colt that pleasantly surprised at Le Mans mid-July, MIRAGE DE KARMEL (8) looks close to his race and under these conditions can oblige. Simon Rousselle will still want to be mindful of the useful MANGO PAULO (10) who should not be too hastily-judged for his Caen performance, and the nicely-entered MULANE DU BOCAGE (11) who will find this a less difficult test than at Enghien. MARIE LOU DE LARRE (5) has looked a different horse lately and with form maintained can challenge for a place in the picture.

- LE ROI DES BRIERES – Debuts in the discipline after being eliminated in a harness Class E over course and distance a fortnight back. Agathe Poulain in the saddle but others still preferred
- LARAFALE PASMARICK – Disappointing in 5 of last 6, latterly 7th of 10 finishers in a 2750m Class F at Le Pertre on 13 July. Reconfigured for ridden bow but still not an obvious choice
- LETS GO UP – Tricky sort that has taken well to the new discipline, lastly 4th of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last week, and can go closer but must first be kept focused
- L’ORIGINAL – Unexceptional type that was eliminated in a 2700m harness Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Has placed once in 3 under the saddle and in this modest field can pick up another cheque
Summary: He may not be the easiest of horses to handle but LABEL DE L’ITON (5) showed potential on his recent monté debut and could well win this if Tiphaine Levesque manages to keep him trotting. Winner that day, on her own ridden bow, LORENCE CLOSJASMIN (12) has hind shoes off this time and could well repeat. Similarly unshod, L’ORIGINAL (16) will be ridden by Pierre-Yves Verva and should figure prominently. Switched to the monte division after 4 straight harness sanctions, L’ALHAMBRA (1) could pleasantly surprise.

C4 – PRIX RACE AND CARE – 2850m (a2m) – Class F Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 19,000 - KARA DES DUNES – Faulted in a 3025m Eauze Class F 10 days ago. Will be fully fit by now though and will have a lot to offer if given the chance
- KALIBRE – Lost his action in a 2700m Vittel Class E last Sunday. Has done nothing of note since March and is not about to start now
- KOCO PEEL – Lost his action when still competitive in a 2550m Bacqueville-en-Caux Class F 10 days ago. Races shod and cannot be considered a contender but with application is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- KRAC BOREAL – Good class of trotter making first appearance since faulting in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle last April. Makes first start for new handler and is not one to be overlooked
- KOMELE – Has done nothing of note this year, most recently eliminated in a 2550m Bacqueville-en-Caux Class F 10 days ago, and will struggle to make her mark
- KUROSIO DES LOVES – Failed to confirm Abbeville performance when eliminated in a 2550m Bacqueville-en-Caux Class F 10 days ago. Shoes back on and poses no danger
- KAPRIUS DE PLAY – Raced better at Lisieux than the result would imply prior to coming 4th of 13 in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 13 July, and has a decent chance of making first 5 once more
- KESA DES THIRONS – Has been knocking at the door since returning to competition, latterly 4th of 16 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on 25 July, and is eminently capable of winning this
- KANAK DU BOCAGE – Returns to racing with front pads after coming 2nd of 16 in a 2550m Gabarret Class F last week. Is new to the venue but could yet get a look in
- KYRA D’ESSARTS – Has not been seen out since running 2nd of 12 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E last April. Shoes on and best to hold off
- KAI LA SHA – Showed marginal improvement when 5th of 10 in a 2550m Gournay Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is confirmed here but still has more to find
- KAVANI – 3rd of 11 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 21 July. Faces a different kind of test here and can be passed over
- KASTA DU RIB – 9th of 16 when preparing for this in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 18 July. Is plainly in competition-mode and will be no shrinking violet
- KING AULNAIES – Made up for Lisieux blip when 3rd of 8 in a 3025m Lucon Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Enjoys a wonderful entry and even from the 2nd row can make this his own
Summary: Currently in fine shape and more at his ease racing left-handed, KESA DES THIRONS (8) enjoys a terrific entry here and can impose. Also well-in, but 25m further back, KING AULNAIES (14) is close to winning another and tends to go well here. KASTA DU RIB (13) also incurs the penalty but is shod to preference and in current condition is easy to like for a place on the podium. Back on a hard surface after a trio of eliminations, KARA DES DUNES (1) starts in front and with application will be no pushover.

C5 – PRIX DES ECURIE DES PRES LOUVET – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LAVEZZI PEJI – Gave a surprisingly good account to run 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class E mid-July. Trainer back in the bike though and a repeat seems unlikely
- L’ILIADE FAC – Disappointing so far this term, latterly 6th of 12 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F 3 weeks ago, and has a lot more to find
- LADY VICTORY – 3rd of 15 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Takes on a better bunch here but is barefoot again and should not be entirely written off
- LADY DE BEYLEV – Failed to confirm Le Croise-laroche success when 9th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class E a month back. In a more reasonable category on this occasion and is not to be overlooked
- LATINA JENILOU – Made up for a brace of eliminations in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 23 June and can play a leading role this time if Esteban De Jesus assures her initial strides
- LUNA DE JOUDES – Eliminated in a 2750m monte Class E last week. Seldom disappoints under harness and can challenge for a place on the podium
- LIANE – Imposed at Amiens on 10 July but failed to confirm when eliminated in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle 11 days later. Is barefoot this time, has already won for Pierre-Yves Verva, and will have her supporters
- LA BELLE MISS – Consistent filly that opened her account in a 2625m Saint-Jean-de-Monts Class F on 13 July. Has yet to deliver on a hard surface but in current condition is easy to like for the win
- LOZA – Got off the mark at Amiens in June but failed to repeat when 6th of 13 in a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 3 weeks ago, and others easier to back
- LAIKA DES MARES – Last of 6 in a 2475m Royan Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has been off the boil for some time and can be ruled out
- LADY MASTER – Has struggled of late, most recently 7th of 9 finishers behind LA NUIT JE MENS (14) in a 3025m Montier-en-Der Class E 2.5 weeks ago.
- LEONIE DE L’ECLAIR – Lost her maiden status in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F 3 weeks ago. Seldom lets the side down when applied and is in with a decent shout of doubling her money
- LADY D’ELFE – Eliminated in both starts this term, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class E 10 days ago. In a more suitable category this time and on good behaviour can finish in the mix
- LA NUIT JE MENS – Pleasant 4th of 9 finishers in a 3025m Montier-en-Der Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is unlikely to lose her maiden tag but with hind shoes off should nevertheless hold her own
Summary: It may have taken 14 runs to bag her first race but LEONIE DE L’ECLAIR (12) gave such a good account at Cherbourg that a second straight success would be no surprise. Robin Lamy will still be mindful of the in-form LA BELLE MISS (8) who still looks a serious proposition despite showing her best on turf, and the complicated LATINA JENILOU (5) who has never disappointed when focused. LUNA DE JOUDES (6) is back under harness after a failed attempt in the other code and should prove competitive at the business end of the race.

C6 – PRIX ICI NORMANDIE ET PICARDIE – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LUCIUS DE PUCH – Imposed at Gournay before running 6th of 13 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last week. Up against better here and is unlikely to shake things up
- LAROUS – Held on well to win a Class E over course and distance on 24 July. Has taken his game to a new level and will be expected to keep the competitive train going. Chance
- LARRY DU DOUBS – Last but one to LAROUS (2) in a Class E over course and distance on 24 July. Is capable on a good day and with Pierre-Yves Verva reining will be afforded every chance
- LOVER DES BROUSSES – Eliminated, on first start since late 2023, in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 June. Has evident ability but is going to need another race
- LEADER DU MOUCHEL – 7th of 13, a place behind LUCIUS DE PUCH (1), in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last week. Tends to show more racing right-handed and others preferred
- LEON DU RIB – 9th of 13 behind LUCIUS DE PUCH (1) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last week. Sports front pads this time and should not be overlooked
- LIDO DE LOU – Unlucky not to have won a 2625m Class D at La Rochelle late last month. Has buckets of ability though and can set the record straight if his driver keeps him out of harm’s way
- LEGOLAS PAULOIS – 7th of 11 in a 2650m Hyeres Class E on 28 June. Pitted against a tough bunch here and will have little to contribute
- LANCELOT PLATANES – 5th of 9 finishers to LAROUS (2) in a Class E over course and distance on 24 July but a repeat seems most improbable
- LORD DE VANDEL – Won a 3125m Granville Class F on 21 July, just his 2nd start of the year. Goes barefoot again and although unlikely to get his nose in front should nevertheless be competitive for a first-5 spot
- L’AMI LUC – Progressive colt that ran 2nd of 12 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Steps marginally up in category but in current form is easy to recommend for a place
- LUTIN DE LA FYE – 6th of 8 finishers in a 2550m Reims Class E on 1 June. Races first time barefoot though and can begin to make amends
- LUKARI DE FONTAINE – Imposed at Caen before quickly faulting in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle a month ago. Should appreciate Mauquenchy profile but still has more to find
- LUCKY DELADOU – Has enjoyed a good season so far, most recently 4th of 13 in a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 3 weeks ago. Is new to Mauquenchy, has previously placed going left-handed, and can finish close
Summary: Reliability may not be his strong suit but LIDO DE LOU (7) can be considered very unfortunate at La Rochelle recently and Clément Duvaldestin will be determined to set the record straight. LAROUS (2) sprang a 24/1 surprise when successful over course and distance recently and appears to represent the main threat. Just 125 Euros from elimination, the in-form LUCKY DELADOU (14) has a lot going for him, as does L’AMI LUC (11) who has turned a corner lately.

- IKAKOU – Came 2nd at Granville prior to running 5th of 12 in a 3125m Questembert Class F last Sunday. Regularly in the thick of things when focused but is possibly being aimed too high this time
- INES DES FORETS – 10th of 16 behind INDYDARCHE (4) in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Has yet to convince this term and can expect to have few friends
- INDYDARCHE – Not the most fortunate 6th of 16 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Placed in last 2 starts here and while unlikely to get his nose in front, can nevertheless finish in the mix
- ISCO DU MONCEL – Imposed at Ranes before coming 4th of 12 in a 2400m Domfront Class F 10 days ago. In this field though, will have his work cut out
- ICARE DE MONTFORT – Opened his 2025 account in a 2700m Vittel Class F 10 days ago. Alain Laurent’s horses in cracking form at present and from the front row can repeat
- ISENGRINE ABSOLUTE – Hard to fault of late, most recently 2nd of 12 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 3 weeks ago. Produced her career-best time that day and will be expected to contest the finish once more
- INSOLITE EFBE – 5th of 12 in a 2200m Le Mans Class F 3 weeks ago. Has begun to show more recently, and has form at the venue, but others still easier to back
- IVON DE LA MONERIE – Last of 11 in a 3175m Saint-Omer Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is out of his depth and can be ignored
- HOLLY GREEN – Courageous 3rd of 13 in a 2150m Class E here a fortnight back. Pierre-Yves Verva in the bike this time and will assure her every chance
- IVOIRE DAIRPET – Back to a hard surface after running 6th of 18 in a 2400m Brehal Class A 10 days ago. Form is not in question and at this level will be competitive for a step on the podium
- HILTON DU HOULET – Made the frame in last 2, most recently 2nd of 10 in a 2900m Amiens Class E on 19 July. Has solid left-handed credentials and even from the back line must not be underestimated
- INDIANA D’ESPACE – Good, consistent mare that ran 4th of 14 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle late last month. Always gives everything she has and is not going to be far from the action
Summary: ICARE DE MONTFORT (6) has never been known for his dependability but he got back in the winners’ enclosure at Vittel recently and has a realistic chance of making his Mauquenchy debut a victorious one. Alain Laurent will still be vigilant of ISENGRINE ABSOLUTE (7) who has been knocking at the door recently, and 2nd-line starter IVOIRE DAIRPET (11) who returns to more suitable conditions. A model of consistency, INDIANA D’ESPACE (13) has yet to impose this season but by the look of things, it won’t be long.

C8 – PRIX PIERRE BUCAU – 2850m (a2m) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 27,000 - JOKER DES BORDES – Below-par 6th of 12 behind JUSQUIAME (3) in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 9 July. Is plainly better than that and Christopher Corbineau will be hopeful of putting things right
- JABIN DES TOURS – Endured a tough trip, coming last of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F a month ago. Won his only Mauquenchy start but not a concern this time around
- JUSQUIAME – Solid in 3 of last 4, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 9 July. Steps up in category and is new to the venue, but still warrants respect
- GIFTOVER – Imposed at La Ferté-Vidame before coming 2nd of 12 in a 2575m Château-du-Loir Class F 10 days ago. Takes on a better lot here and chances limited
- J’ADORE D’EURVAD – Steps back up in category after running 2nd of 6 finishers in a 3175m harness Class F at Saint-Omer 2.5 weeks ago. Won penultimate monte start and cannot be ruled out
- JOCE JISCE – Back under the saddle after running 7th of 13 in a 3175m harness Class F at Saint-Omer 2.5 weeks ago and is unlikely to spice things up
- JASMINE DE NEUVY – Just missed out on the 4-timer when 2nd of 8 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 3 July. Flew up here on penultimate start and should logically take all the beating
- JAMES OF CARLY – Last of 9 when preparing for this in a 2725m Pornichet harness Class F a fortnight ago. Has never disappointed under the saddle when focused and looks a serious proposition
- GITAN DE TOUCHYVON – Has raced just once this year, faulting in a 2700m harness Class F at Le Croise-Laroche mid-April. Is shod to preference for return to a track he likes though and will be no easy touch
- JOJO DE L’AUNAY – Back in his code of choice after running 5th of 9 finishers in a 2900m Clairefontaine harness Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Has yet to deliver for her jockey but looks a respectable place prospect all the same
- IRIS THORIS – 6th of 14, on first start since the spell, in a 2600m Montignac Class F on 24 July. Seldom lets the side down here but may just be taking on too much
- ILIEN DE VRIE – Barring a pair of sanctions has been knocking at the door all season, most recently 4th of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F a month ago. Enjoys an excellent entry, has been reconfigured, and must be taken seriously
Summary: An excellent servant when focused and barefoot, JASMINE DE NEUVY (7) won easily under these conditions before being pipped at Pornichet, but Camille Levesque will be keen to put things right. She will still be justifiably wary of GITAN DE TOUCHYVON (9) who won here almost exactly a year ago, and the wonderfully capable JAMES OF CARLY (8) who is shod to preference for his first objective of the season. JOJO DE L’AUNAY (10) has nothing to prove at this level and associated with Pierre-Yves Verva must be taken seriously.
