C1 – PRIX DE LA PORTE D’ASNIERES – 2875m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000

  1. MYSTIC D’YVEL – Showed some promise when a winner on debut at Duindigt over 2000m on 18 July. Can contest the finish again
  2. MAMBO NAM – Has some fair form and finished 3rd in Class F at La Capelle over 2700m on 21 July. Has a place chance in this line-up
  3. MERCATO DES FORGES – Disqualified at Graignes over 2700m on 26 July. Won on debut before that and can bounce back to win
  4. MISTER D’AVOINES – Unreliable but was victorious in Class F at Francheville over 2475m on 14 July. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  5. MALICIOSO – Only modest of late and finished 5th in Class E at this track over 2150m on 27 July. More is needed to beat these rivals
  6. MESSIRE DU GERS – Holding form and finished 4th in Class D at Les Sables-d’Olonne over 2650m on 12 July. Be right there at the finish
  7. MORPHEUS DU LOISIR – Consistent so far and finished 3rd in Class D at this track over 2875m on 17 July. Can be competitive once again
  8. MILO DE NAPPES – Consistent so far and was not disgraced when 3rd in Class E at Rouen-Mauquenchy over 2150m on 24 July. Could play a minor role
  9. MISTRAL DU REGENCY – Very consistent this year and was runner-up in Class E at Cabourg over 2750m on 11 July. Can go one better
  10. MOZART SAUTONNE – Improving and was runner-up in Class E at Pornichet-La Baule over 2725m on 19 July. Big chance in this line-up
    Summary: MOZART SAUTONNE (10) should strip fitter for his recent run at Pornichet-La Baule last month and could set the standard in an interesting opening event. MESSIRE DU GERS (6) ran well after a break and should be in the mix for top honours. MORPHEUS DU LOISIR (7) should not be long in opening his account and must be respected in this line-up. MERCATO DES FORGES (3) won well on debut, so his recent disqualification may be best ignored.

  13. LILY DE L’AUNAY – Disappointing last run when 10th in Class C over this track and trip on 19 July. Capable of better but others make more appeal
  14. LUNGA DES BROUSSES – Has improved of late and was runner-up in Class C at this track over 2875m on 19 July. Can go one better this time
  15. LE CASHMAKER – Finished 11th in Class B at this track over 2875m on 26 July. Had two good wins before that and is clearly not out of it
  16. LUNELLA LEMAN – Showed some improvement when barefoot and 4th in Class B at Craon over 2750m on 23 June. Not barefoot this time and others make more appeal
  17. LYNYRD SKYNYRD – Disqualified at his track on 2 July. Has disqualification issues but is talented. Barefoot for the first time and could be a lively danger
  18. LOUSTIC DELAURIERE – Remains in very good shape and was victorious in Class B at Meslay-du-Maine over 2850m on 29 July. Can follow up
  19. LIZY JOSSELYN – Disqualified at this track on 2 July. Very hard to trust and has a tough task in this line-up. Others are preferred
  20. LEONARDO VICI – Unbeaten in two starts this year when barefoot, the latest in Class C at this track over 2875m on 23 July. Has leading claims
    Summary: LEONARDO VICI (10) has won more than half of his nine starts. He is unbeaten in two runs without shoes and impressed over this track and trip last month. He sets a very high standard for this race. LYNYRD SKYNYRD (7) has been disappointing lately but races fully barefoot this time and could pose a threat. LUNGA DES BROUSSES (4) is in good form and can get involved again. LE CASHMAKER (5) is not the most reliable but is certainly capable of winning.

  24. COLBERT WF – Has won three of five starts this year, including last time out in Class C at this track over 2150m on 28 June. Be right there at the finish
  25. HOLD UP DREAM – Has disqualification issues but was runner-up in Class D at Amiens over 2400m on 30 July. Might play a minor role
  26. TOTO BAROSSO – Knocking at the door and was runner-up in Class B over this track and trip on 12 July. Can challenge for top honours again
  27. IDEAL DU ROCHER – Broke a long losing run when victorious in Class B over this course and distance on 12 July. Capable of following up
  28. HORATIUS D’ELA – Picked up second win of the year, in Class B over this course and distance on 23 July. Capable of doubling up
  29. FELIX DU BOURG – Has only been moderate of late and finished 7th in Class B at this track over 2875m on 12 July. More is needed to beat these rivals
  30. HARMONISTA – Disappointing form of late and was 8th in Class A at Bréhal over 3400m on 27 July. Barefoot this time, and could contest the finish
    Summary: A very competitive-looking event. IDEAL DU ROCHER (7) showed his best form when scoring over this track and trip last month and could win again. HORATIUS D’ELA (8) remains in very good form and ran well over this course and distance later that same month; he should be in the mix once more. HARMONISTA (10) races barefoot and is expected to improve on some modest recent performances. COLBERT WF (4) has been consistent all year and can shine again.

  36. GENERAL DE CONNEE – In good shape and finished 3rd in Class E at Le Mans over 2950m on 26 July. Can get involved with the finish once again
  37. HONNEUR DU CEBE – Has only been modest of late and finished 6th in Class E at Le Mans over 2950m on 26 July. Might play a minor role at very best
  38. GROUPIE DU QUENNE – Has disqualification issues and was disqualified at this track over 2150m on 26 July. Capable of earning some minor money when wise
  39. HORACIO DE CERISY – Disappointing form of late and finished 9th in Class F at Bernay over 2800m on 13 July. Capable of better but others make more appeal
  40. HORSE DE GRAMMONT – Only fair of late and finished 5th in Class G at La Capelle over 2750m on 21 July. Needs to do bit more to beat this rival
    Summary: A very open race. GUESS FOUTEAU (3) hasn’t won in a while but ran well over this course and distance a month ago and could take a race of this nature. HAROLD SAUTONNE (2) is not the most reliable but is quite capable of winning and must be respected in this line-up. GENERAL DE CONNEE (6) has held her form nicely of late and handles this shorter distance well. FERVENTE (5) could improve with Éric Raffin in the sulky.

  42. JOS MAZA – Has already won four times this year, including last time out in Class E at Rouen-Mauquenchy over this distance on 24 July. Tougher task this time, but must be respected
  43. KAPORAL DES FORGES – Disappointing form of late and was tenth in a Group 3 at this track over 2875m on 5 July. Can do better this distance and is not out of it
  44. JIBI DU FRUITIER – On a long losing run but was not disgraced when 5th in Class E at Segre over 2700m on 20 July. Can make the frame
  45. KNOCKONWOOD – Has struggled this year and was 11th in Class B at Bernay over 2800m on 27 July. Needs major improvement to win
  46. JUST FOR LOVA – Unreliable but did run well when third in Class E at Cabourg over 2750m on 25 July. Has a place chance on best form
  47. JAPAROV LIRE – Showed some improvement when runner-up in Class E at this track over 2875m on 19 July. Can be competitive once again
  48. JOURNEE REVEE – Has disqualification issues but was victorious last time out in class D at Cabourg over 2750m on 4 July. Better over further, but has leading claims
  49. KALITA D’HENINEL – A good winner of her latest start, in Class D at La Capelle over 2750m on 21 July. Remains barefoot and could follow up
  50. KAVALA DE PADD – Did not show his best when 8th in a Group 2 at Vincennes over 2175m on 7 June. Did better over this track and trip before that and can bounce back to score
    Summary: KAVALA DE PADD (10) hasn’t won for some time but has been knocking on the door with some recent good efforts. She gets the narrow vote to score. JOURNÉE RÊVÉE (8) is not easy to trust but is capable of winning when in the right mood and should be a threat. KALITA D’HÉNINEL (9) picked up a deserved win after a series of consistent performances and won’t go down without a fight. KAPORAL DES FORGES (3) is capable of better and is another to consider.

  52. MAGELLAN D’ORGERES – Has struggled in both starts, the latest when 9th in a Class E mounted race at Pornichet-La Baule over 2725m on 11 July. Needs major improvement to win
  53. MERCURIUS – Has lost the way of late with some disqualifications, the latest being at Pornichet-La Baule on 11 July. Tries a mounted race but others are preferred
  54. MAXOU AMAX – Has 7 disqualifications in a row, the latest being at Vincennes on 17 June. Hard to trust and is best watched for now
  55. MYSTIC PARKER – Disqualified last time out at Saint-Malo over 2950m on 8 July. Tries a mounted race and is capable of improvement
  56. MAKING LEMAN – Showed some improvement and finished 5th in a Class E mounted race at Pornichet-La Baule over 2725m on 11 July. Has a place chance in this line-up
  57. MACHIARD AIMEF – Has a couple of disqualifications in a row, the latest being at this track on 27 July. Did well on debut and can be a threat if wise this time
  58. MYTIC RENARDIER – Hard to trust and was disqualified last time out at Vichy over 2200m on 30 June. Did win his penultimate start and is capable of a surprise when smart
  59. MOZART DES BORDES – Showed what he is capable of with a victory in a Class F harness race at Biarritz over 2150m on 22 July. Tougher task under the saddle this time
  60. MONSTER SPEED – Has disqualification issues but did only find one better on the day, in a Class E mounted race at Cabourg over 2750m on 29 July. Can go one better if smart again
  61. MARVELOUS – Has won both his mounted races so far, the latest in Class E at Les Andelys over 2525m on 6 July. Big chance
    Summary: MARVELOUS (11) is unbeaten in two starts under the saddle. This is a stronger race, but he can win again. MONSTER SPEED (10) is not easy to trust but wouldn’t be a surprise winner after a pleasing effort last time out at Cabourg. MADIBA MARBEN (1) has struggled with disqualification issues in harness races but is the type to show improvement in this discipline. MACHIARD AIMEF (7) ran well on debut but has been disqualified in both starts since.

  66. NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL – Disappointing last run when 6th in Class D over this course and distance on 19 July. Did better on debut and is capable of making the frame
  67. NIGHT DE LA COUR – Showed some promise on debut when runner-up in Class G at Ranes over 13 July. Tougher task this time but can contest the finish
  68. NOSTRA DE LAUNI – Showed improvement in her second start when fourth in Class D over this track and trip on 27 July. Should be right there at the finish if applying her mind
  69. NEPITA – Did not show her best when 7th in Class D over this course and distance on 27 July. Did better on debut and could bounce back to score
    Summary: A weak race form-wise, and anything is possible. NEPITA (8) disappointed in her second start after showing promise on debut. She can bounce back to beat these rivals if reproducing that initial effort. NOSTRA DE LAUNI (7) fluffed her lines on debut but showed improvement second time out and will be a threat based on that. NIGHT DE LA COUR (6) ran well on debut at Rânes but could find this test a bit tougher. NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL (5) appears better than her last run and could also be involved in the finish.

  81. KATAR – Unreliable but was runner-up in Class B over this track and trip on 19 July. Can go one better if in the right frame of mind
  82. KIVALA RENARDIER – Not disgraced when 5th in Class F at Château-du-Loir over 3750m on 27 July. Has won twice this year and can surprise
  83. KEVIN PRINCE – Only modest of late and finished 6th at Jägersro over 3140m on 29 July. Capable of an upset on best form
    Summary: KOOL AND THE GANG (11) showed promise early in his career. It has taken him some time to return to that level of form, but he was impressive over this track and trip last month. He sets the standard for this lucky last race. KAPUSHA MIP (10) faulted when going well behind the selection and should be a threat if behaving smartly this time. KUNG FU QUICK (7) continues to win races and can get into the mix again. KISS ME SIMON (5) is capable of better and is another with leading claims. KAISER (6) is holding form well and can get a look in.

  1. ASTON CLINTON – Ignore last run when 6th at Saint-Cloud and judge on penultimate victory over 1400m at Compiegne in a same class race. First suggestion
  2. WICKBURY – Will need to pick up on last run when 7th at this course over 1400m on the 19th of last month and others are preferred
  3. SOLAS – Ignore latest run when finishing 8th, was 2nd over 1400m before that in a competitive Handicap. Strong each way chance
  4. MARYS NOT CONTRARY – Recorded her best local run last time when 3rd at this track over 1400m in the same class race and is a big danger here
  5. THALIA – Placed 4th at Evreux over 1200m on the 15th of April and despite possibly needing the run, should be competitive. Place chance
    Summary: ASTON CLINTON (1) was a winner of his penultimate start at Compiegne over 1400m in a same class race as this. His last run can be progressed upon when 6th at Saint-Cloud. He can put in a winning run. SOLAS (3) has not won yet this year but is never far off the action and can be given a strong each way chance. MARYS NOT CONTRARY (4) has had only three goes locally and caught the eye last time when 3rd at this track. Big place claims and should win soon. THALIA (5) has a first four chance and is a must for all bets.

  6. BAIKAL – Can be expected to do way better than dismal last two runs. Placed 2nd at Senonnes on the 30th of May over 2100m and that could be good enough for a huge run here. Good chance
  7. NEROKAS – Last run is a worry and will need to build on that. Finished a way better 5th at Aix Les Baines on the 5th of July over 2500m in a Handicap. Good chance
  8. AKAGERA – Finished 12th last time at Clairefontaine but can do way better than that and a return to better form can be expected. Good chance
  9. EXHIT – Last run is a concern but did place 4th at Lyon Parilly before that over 2000m in a Handicap on the 23rd of June. Should be right there. Big runner
  10. RECLAIM – Ignore last run, finished 5th at Saint-Cloud before that over 2000m on the 9th of July and can go very close. Strong each way chance
  11. SLON HE – Current form has been on the decline over various tracks and trips and only managed a poor 10th at this track last time. Hard to make a case for
  12. TRINITY – Has raced four times for four complete no shows and would be a shock winner. Is clearly battling and can be passed by
  13. SWEET NEBULA – Two runs in France have not been too inspiring and will need big progression to feature. Placed 13th on the 10th of last month. Prefer others
    Summary: RECLAIM (5) can be forgiven for the last poor effort when downfield at Les Sables. He was a better 5th place at Saint-Cloud before that on the 9th of July over 2000m and has to be taken very seriously. BAIKAL (1) can do way better than he did last time when closer to the back of the field than the front. He can improve to place and is a must for all bets. NEROKAS (2) let the team down last time and can be expected to serve up way more this time on his first run in this division. AKAGERA (3) is a must for most bets, particularly the quartet perms.

  14. GOLDEN ALQA – Is holding form, won the penultimate and followed up with a good 3rd at Saint-Malo over 2500m in a claiming race. Strong claims
  15. BUFFALO WOMAN – Holding form, finished 3rd at Le Touquet over 2100m on the 27th of July in a claimer and should be competitive again. Good chance
  16. MADIBA – Boasts some fair form, finished 4th at La Teste over 1600m on the 27th of July and can be very competitive for top position. Bright winning chance
  17. RUE HELENE – She was a winner of her last start which was at Aix Les Bains over 1800m on the 9th of last month in a claiming race. Can follow up and has a good chance
  18. BERINGIA – Current form has been on the decline over various tracks and trips and is hard to assess and predict. Would be a shock if placing
  19. BOHEMOS – Is well tried and yet to win the maiden but has been earning along the way. Placed only 7th at this track last time and others have stronger form. Happy to ignore
  20. WHYWHYWHY DELILAH – Will need to build on last run when 7th at Saint-Malo over 1800m in a claimer and others are far preferred. Pass by
  21. LITTLE DARLING – Haas popped up and placed a few times recently but is hard to predict and assess. Last run was 7th at this track over 2400m. Happy to ignore
    Summary: MADIBA (3) has placed five times from seven starts and looks cherry ripe for the maiden win. She was 4th at La Teste over 1600m last time and will be hugely competitive here. GOLDEN ALQA (1) has caught the attention in her last two races when winning and finishing 3rd. Her last run was on the 24th of last month over 2500m at Saint-Malo and she should be competitive. RUE HELENE (4) comes into the race with high confidence levels and can follow up. BUFFALO WOMAN (2) has more of a place chance than a winning one.

  25. ERLING – Makes his first appearance here if France and could need a run or two to get used to the tracks. Finished 3rd at Hoppegarten over 2800m last time. Small place chance
  26. ARNAY LE DUC – Finished 3rd on debut and 3rd at the second start which was at this track over 2400m in mid-July. Strong each way claims
  27. KELCE – Forget the last run, placed 2nd over 2100m before that at Haras Du Pin and can bounce right back to better form. Winning choice
  28. TOVABIEN – Has shown little in six runs and looking at form, would be a shock if placing in this. Hard to make a case for
  29. ANIMA SANA – Has caught the attention in both races to date. Placed an encouraging 2nd at Dieppe last time and has a huge chance of going one better. Can win
  30. NIVE – Finished 4th at Dieppe on the 28th of June over 3400m and could get into the money again. Small place chance
    Summary: KELCE (6) has caught the eye in three of the four starts thus far and despite placing back in 12th place last time in a competitive Handicap, can go very close to winning. ANIMA SANA (8) has a 100% place strike record having gone two places from as many starts. Last run was at Dieppe over 2200m and she will be a big runner here. ARNAY LE DUC (5) has caught the eye in both races thus far and should win very soon. Include in all bets and BLACK BOSS (3) ran cracker on the 5th of last month finishing 2nd over 2500m and should be in the first four today.
