WALDNEBEL (4) did not embarrass himself in the German Derby last time while SQUARE D’ALBONI (5) travels from the UK and will be seeking a second victory on French soil. JENILAT BRIGHT (1) surprised to win a Listed race last time and could prove to be competitive.

  26. ALMERIA – Won a Maiden over 2600m at Marseille Borely on 18 June. She faces a a tougher challenge but is lightly raced and there could still be a lot more to come from her

MATHILDE DU BERGER (8) won a good race and got the better of Mysoko Star on debut. She could be anything and can remain unbeaten. MISS DAPHNE (6) is an unraced daughter of Nathaniel. Her mother won her first two starts on the flat and the betting market will be a good guide.

C1 – PRIX FABIEN ROSSOLINI – 2050m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 29,000

  1. LOVEBIRD – Made up for Vincennes elimination when 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 23 July. Beaten only by a very good horse that day and will be competitive at the business end of the race
  2. KIDY D’EPONA – Harness winner here last month, most recently 3rd of 11 in a 2250m Enghien monte Class D on 2 August. Faces a tougher lot here and can be passed over
  3. LITTLE WINGS – Starts for the first time since finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class B in late-May. Shoes off for the occasion but chances still limited
  4. KENZA SUPREME – Showed improvement 2 weeks ago when 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2875m Enghien Class D. Appears to be back on the right road and and from the 4-spot will be no pushover
  5. LIVANTO KALOUMA – Stayed on well to win a 2250m Enghien monte Class C on 19 July. Boasts excellent harness credentials and is thoroughly capable of winning this
  6. LAREDO BAY – Makes first appearance since winning a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 20 June. Comes here fresh, barefoot, and with a good hand to play
  7. KASSIOPEE DREAM – 4th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class E on 23 July. Is plainly in shape but has no particular love for Cabourg and others easier to back
  8. KANAK DU BOCAGE – Runner-up at Gabarret late-July before coming 5th of 13 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F on 6 August. Shoes fitted this time though and best to hold off
  9. KISS ME WINNER – Eliminated in last 3, latterly a 1609m Argentan Class E last Saturday. Has been reconfigured but still not easy to recommend
  10. L’INTOUCHABLE – Quality element that ran last of 7 in a 2875m Enghien Class C conditioner last week. Is a far cry from last season’s form and will have little to offer
  11. LOTUS GRIFF – Pleasant 3rd at Vincennes prior to running 5th of 9 behind LOVEBIRD (1) in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 23 July. Has previously won for Yoann Lebourgeois but looks more a minor place prospect this time around
  12. KLASSIC DREAM – 3rd at Vincennes before coming 5th of 16 in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 6 July. Sports a new formula and, with application, can figure prominently
  13. LOULOU DES OUBEAUX – 3rd of 5 finishers, on 2nd start back, in a 2775m Class C at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Will have progressed for the race and despite a rough draw will be no shrinking violet
  14. LAURELINA – Ran 3rd over longer here on 4 July before coming 6th of 10 finishers in a 2875m Enghien Class C a fortnight later. Has ample ability but has little going for her here and not a priority
Summary: Back under harness after winning smartly in the other code just under a month back and, shod to preference, can make it 2 on the trot. Theo Duvaldestin will still be keeping a watchful eye on the in-form LOVEBIRD (1) who has already won here, and the well-positioned KENZA SUPREME (4) who showed marked improvement at Enghien earlier in the month. LAREDO BAY (6) boasts an 80% win-rate going right-handed and starting in front will do her chances no disservice.

  15. JET NONANTAIS – Unseen since running 4th of 15 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 11 June. Has a lot going for him here and, barefoot for the first time at the venue, looks a serious player
  16. JOYCE DREAM – Form has done nothing but regress of late, latterly eliminated in a 2800m Bernay Class F late last month, and can be ruled out
  17. JULIANO STILE – Winner of 2 from 3 for new trainer, latterly comfortably lifting a Class D over course and distance late last month. Is patently on the right road and in current condition can double his money
  18. JOADIE WIND – Has done nothing but improve lately, lastly 3rd of 18 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F a fortnight back. Has been reconfigured and Paul Ploquin can be confident of a big run
  19. ISTRA – Has been giving a good account for the most part, latterly 4th of 16, a place behind IRAFARA (13), in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. Sports front pads this time and while unlikely to create an upset can still pick up a cheque
  20. JACQUOT DU DOME – Won an amateurs event at Amiens before being eliminated in next 2, most recently a Class E over 2725m here 10 days ago. On better behaviour though could well get a look in
  21. IDEALE D’ABBEVILLE – Was not disgraced when 8th of 16 in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago but still has more to find
  22. IVORY DU CHERISAY – Confirmed Ecommoy performance when 3rd of 15 in a Class E over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Unlikely to repeat but is still worth monitoring
  23. IFALCO DE MAY – Eliminated when preparing for this in a monte Class F over course and distance mid-July. Is a tough nut when focused and with application can go far
  24. JUVENIA DU CLOSET – Imposed at Bernay prior to finishing 3rd of 15 in a 2850m Brehal Class F earlier in the month, and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike can continue her fruitful run of form
  25. INUKSHUK – Pleasant 4th of 16 in a 2750m Pornichet Class F last week. Is new to Cabourg but unlikely to paint the town red
  26. IRMINIO KILY – Eliminated in 2 last month before finishing 6th of 10 in a 2600m Plouescat Class F 11 days ago, and will need to raise his game
  27. IRAFARA – Never far from faulting but has been solid lately, most recently running 3rd of 16 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle on 25 July. On good behaviour can make a big impact
  28. JERZINO VICI – Unexceptional 6th of 12 in a 2725m Class E here 10 days ago. Enjoys a good entry but still not a concern
Summary: Like a horse reborn since moving to the André stable, JULIANO STILE (3) made short work of a Class D under these conditions 3 weeks ago and is eminently capable of repeating. He will still encounter resistance from the in-form JET NONANTAIS (1) who excels with David Thomain, and the well-engaged IRAFARA (13) who won for Mathieu Mottier here in early-July. Significantly better than latest numbers would suggest, IFALCO DE MAY (9) sports a fresh configuration and is not to be underestimated.

  29. KING BABEL – In the frame in all 4 starts this year, latterly 3rd of 13 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F 3 weeks ago. Has never delivered at Cabourg but in present shape is easy to like
  30. KOOPER – Never pushed when 5th of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 3 July. Has not got his nose in front for 18 months but with front shoes back on, from the 2-spot, he must be considered a player
  31. KILIMANDJARO – Disappointing in last 2, most recently eliminated in a 3500m Class F at Sille-le-Guillaume last weekend, and will need to get his house in order
  32. KILLER BECO – Placed in 2 before being sanctioned in next 2, latterly a 3125m Granville Class F early this month. Showed his form at Pornichet though and with stride in check can get in on the action
  33. KOUREION D’ELA – Imposed at Clairefontaine before running 3rd of 12 in a 2600m Plouescat Class F 11 days ago. Enjoys a good draw, with a top driver at the helm, and looks the one to beat
  34. KING BLACK DANOVER – Made amends for Montmirail disappointment when 5th of 16 in a 2750m Class D on 18 July. Starts in front but still not a priority
  35. KARABOUDJAN – Last of 9 when preparing for this in a Class E over a mile at Argentan last Saturday. Shod to preference this time and backs up with a realistic chance of contesting the finish
  36. KILLER DES CHAMPS – Ran 4th at Les Andelys before being eliminated in a 3450m Agon Class F 3 weeks ago. Francois Lagadeuc in the bike this time and must be taken seriously
  37. KYMI JACK – Ran 4th at Pornichet before being eliminated in a 2300m Chateaubriant Class F a week ago. Is new to the venue and the draw will do him no favours
  38. KING’S RETURN – Winner at Graignes before coming 2nd of 16 in a 2700m Avranches Class F on 20 July. Takes a notable step up in category but sports front pads this time and deserves to take his chances
  39. KENZO BEACH – Back under harness after running 5th of 9 in a 2300m Abbeville monte Class H a month ago but still has more to find
  40. KONFINEMENT – Pleasant 3rd of 11 in a 2575m Gournay Class H earlier in the month but in this company will struggle to make any impact
Summary: KOUREION D’ELA (5) took some time to come to hand this term but is clearly right back on track and will be reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois who imposed with her at Clairefontaine mid-July. He will still be mindful of the well-entered KARABOUDJAN (7) who is competitively-shod this time, and KOOPER (2) who sports a new configuration for his return to the venue. KILLER DES CHAMPS (8) is undeniably talented and, if applied, should logically finish in the mix.

  41. KAHINA DE FAEL – Last of 13 on comeback in a 3500m Class F at Sille-le-Guillaume last weekend. Races barefoot this time but is still out of her depth
  42. KAMELIA DU CORTA – Lost her action on re-entry in a 2850m Carentan Class F on 19 July. Faces her first objective of the season and, already a winner going clockwise, can repeat
  43. KASANE DU BISET – Out of the picture in 2 return runs, latterly eliminated in a 2400m Amiens Class F late last month. Has ample ability and although unconfirmed here, still looks competitive for some prizemoney
  44. KELIA DES TOUCHES – Useful sort but has not been seen out since being eliminated in a 2700m Graignes Class B last October and will have nothing to contribute
  45. KANELLE D’OUVILLE – Going well when eliminated in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 30 July. Nicely-entered here and in the hands of Yoann Lebourgeois will be easy to fancy for the win
  46. KUTARA MICHE – Twice 3rd here last month, most recently in a 2725m Class F on 18 July. Starts in front and is easy to like for another podium place
  47. KATANA – 6th of 13 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F on 24 July. Starts wide and will struggle to make her presence felt
  48. KALIMERA FLASH – 6th of 11 behind KUTARA MICHE (6) in a 2725m Class F on 18 July. Shoes fitted this time though and others preferred
  49. KOSETTE DU HAMEL – Back under harness after being eliminated in a 2750m monte Class F here 10 days ago. Is by no means without merit and is capable of playing a role
  50. KHADIDJA CASTELETS – 10th of 12 behind KATANA (7) when being conditioned in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F 3 weeks ago. Has good speed which Mathieu Mottier will endeavour to utilise as he navigates a tricky start. First 5
  51. KALINKA DE SEE – Met little opposition en route to victory in a 2750m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Faces a marginally stiffer test this time but still looks a player
  52. KELLY BRIDGE – 6th of 11 finishers in a 2750m Class F here 10 days ago. Handed a tough draw here and is unlikely to spring any surprises
Summary: A quality element with a race under her belt following a decent break, KAMELIA DU CORTA (2) is shod to preference this time and from the 2-spot can bring home the bacon. She will still be pitted against the tricky, but no less talented, KANELLE D’OUVILLE (5) who has been handed a fine draw, and the reconfigured KALINKA DE SEE (11), recent Cabourg winner that simply excels with David Thomain. She has already crossed swords with KUTARA MICHE (6) who looks close to winning her second of the season.

  54. LA CHENEVIERE – In the frame in 2 here before being eliminated in a Class E under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Tries out a new formula here and with stride in check should not disappoint
  55. LOTUS DES SABLES – Starts for first time since running 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class E last March. Is plainly in competition-mode and can get straight down to business
  56. KORINA DE BEYLEV – Unremarkable 6th of 9 finishers in a Class F over track and trip 10 days ago and is not about to cause an upset
  57. KEILA TREMBLADAISE – 4th of 13 in a 2300m Le Mans Class F mid-July. Consistently gives her best and is unlikely to be far from the action
  58. KOLOSSE RHODES – Back under the saddle after running 7th of 10 in a 2950m Le Mans harness Class F 3 weeks ago and chances appear limited
  59. LE CADOR DE SIMM – Pulled off the hat-trick when victorious in a Class E under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Is unbeaten with his jockey who will be determined to keep that fact relevant
  60. LOULIANA DE VANDEL – Takes first competitive steps in the code after coming 5th of 13 in a 2150m Enghien harness Class D on 23 July, and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons is not to be underestimated. Chance
  61. KARMA LIGHT – Eliminated in a Class F over course and distance a week ago. Disappointing on the whole for some time and can be ruled out
  62. LADY DE GREZ – Opened her summer account 3.5 weeks ago when dominating a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class F. Takes on a better lot this time but can still play a small role if focused
  63. KENTUCKY SCARLET – Quality but tricky type that was eliminated in a 2200m Agon Class F a week ago. Paul Ploquin aboard this time and can make a big impact if he keeps his charge trotting
Summary: Three times a monte winner in just over three weeks, LE CADOR DE SIMM (7) steps marginally up in category but has a particular liking for Cabourg and can expect to garner the lion’s share of support. He is still going to face opposition from the progressive and returning LOTUS DES SABLES (3) who sports a new configuration for his return to competition, and monte debutante LOULIANA DE VANDEL (8) who herself sports modified shoeing. Just hind shoes on here, KEILA TREMBLADAISE (5) got back in the game at Le Mans last month and should prove more competitive this time around.

  65. LUMIERE DE BAILLE – Eliminated on comeback in a 3000m Rochefort-sur-Loire Class E on 3 August. Has bags of ability though and with application is eminently capable of winning a race of this nature
  66. LOVELY KILY – 6th of 12 finishers in a 3000m Class E at Rochefort-sur-Loire 12 days ago. Is arguably better on turf but has the wherewithal to make her presence felt
  67. LUCIA DU CHATELET – Continued her lacklustre ways when 7th of 10 behind LAURA SISSI (7) in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 30 July and even racing barefoot is not about to spring any surprises
  68. LEANE DU PARC – Disappointing in last 2, latterly last of 7 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class D last week. Has ample ability but must first get her house in order
  69. LOLITA CHARMEUSE – Won over 2750m here mid-July before coming 3rd of 10 finishers in a Class E under the same conditions here 2 weeks later. Starts in front and in current condition is easy to fancy for another Cabourg success
  70. LAURA SISSI – 4th of 10 in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 30 July. Is shod as she was when placing over track and trip last month and given the chance will not be far from the action
  71. LATINA DE TILOU – Complicated type making first appearance since being eliminated in a 2450m Caen monte Class E last March, and debuts in the harness code with nothing to contribute
  72. LEGENDE DE VAUVERT – 4th of 10 finishers, a place behind LOLITA CHARMEUSE (6), in a 2750m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago. Regularly in the thick of things when applied and despite the draw still looks a respectable first-5 prospect
  73. LOLITA DE MIELOUI – Faulted early, finishing last of 10 behind LAURA SISSI (7), in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 30 July, and has no realistic chance
  74. LIPSKA – Unsure of stride when 9th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle 3.5 weeks ago. Showed her form though and, already a winner for Lebourgeois, is not to be underestimated
Summary: As solid as a rock recently, and decently-positioned on her first mobile start, LOLITA CHARMEUSE (6) looks every part the horse to beat this time. Given a rest following a rough spring, LUMIERE DE BAILLE (2) has a race under her belt, and shoes off for the occasion, and will be dangerous if Mathieu Mottier keeps her mind on the job at hand. Placed on her only start under these conditions, and pleasant at Amiens recently, LAURA SISSI (7) is competitively-shod and in with a shout. Shod this time and reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois, LIPSKA (11) merits significant respect.

  77. MAESTRO DES SARTS – Last of 9 on return to competition in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 27 July and can be passed over
  78. MUST PLEIN CHENE – 2nd of 9 in a 2400m Amiens Class E late last month. Beaten only by a good element that day and will not be far off the mark
  79. MAWENZI – Makes first appearance since running 5th of 8 in a 2150m Enghien Class D last March and is going to need the run
  80. MOGALDO DU PARC – Makes first appearance since securing a 2700m Graignes Class E on 5 June. Is new to running clockwise but in the hands of Yoann Lebourgeois will be afforded every chance
  81. MAESTRO LOVE – Endured a tough trip but nevertheless ran 3rd of 7 finishers in a Class E over course and distance a fortnight ago. David Thomain takes over in the wagon and will be expecting to return home victorious
  82. MESSIRE DU GERS – Did not enjoy the best of runs when 6th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class E last week. Imposed last time racing right-handed and must be considered a priority
  83. MAGIC DU SAPTEL – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd of 5 finishers in a 2900m Clairefontaine Class D a month ago. Cannot be considered a priority but can still challenge for a spot in first 5
  84. MYSTIC D’AVE – Unexceptional in 2 here before coming 5th of 7 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class D on 6 August, and is unlikely to shake things up
Summary: A thorough professional so far, MAESTRO LOVE (7) left quite the impression here earlier this month and if kept out of trouble, can impose. He will still be facing stiff opposition from MESSIRE DU GERS (8) who is markedly better than recent numbers would imply, and the improving MOGALDO DU PARC (6) who has won 2 from 3. MISTRAL JENILOU (2) may not have been seen out since last December but she is undefeated and very much at home racing clockwise.

  88. LOURAGAN DU DIGEON – Made a fine debut 3 weeks ago before losing his action in a 3000m Class F at Rochefort-sur-Loire last week. Should not be hastily-judged and can more than make amends
  89. LOVIOU JOSSELYN – Eliminated in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F on 17 July. Makes first appearance for new trainer and the engagement of Mathieu Mottier speaks volumes. Chance
  90. LOOPING PEJI – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F last week, and is unlikely to spice things up

  98. LIEUTENANT COLONEL – Quickly sanctioned in 29 July race of reference. Races shod this time and others preferred
Summary: Close to the limit of earnings and good 3rd over track and trip late last month, LYTERIOS DU SKY (13) can ensure a 2nd success if Florian Desmigneux manages to keep him focused. LETS GO UP (9) finished a place behind him that day and, already a winner here, will garner considerable support. Mathieu Mottier takes over on the complicated and reconfigured LOVIOU JOSSELYN (5) with every chance of getting back in the game. LEADER DU RIB (12) encouraged on his return to the code and sports modified shoeing for his Cabourg bow.
