C3 – PX BAR-TABAC DE LA PLACE DE BERTHECOURT – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 18,000 - MAHANA RED – Unplaced in a Class E over 2700m at La Capelle on 20 June. Form is disappointing and has not run for quite a while

- MISS DE L’AUNAY – Finished 5th in a Class F over 2900m at Argentan on 17 January. That was a promising effort and the enagement of driver Franck Nivard speaks volumes
- MISSION DU CHOQUEL – A poor 9th in a Class F over 2600m at Le Touquet on 30 August. Form is not good and comes back from a lengthy layoff

- MELOPEE – Ran well when 5th in a Class G over this track and trip on 23 November. Has had two good runs and must have some sort of chance
- MAMBA BERRY – A decent 4th in a Class G over 2150m at Argentan on 24 January. She showed improvement in that event and without shoes, further progress is expected
- MIRACULEE D’OCQUE – Unplaced in a Class F over 2625m at Saint-Omer on 14 September. Runs against stronger and is unlikely to feature
- MA CHARMEUSE – Mediocre 6th in a Class F over 2475m at Francheville-La Barre on 14 July. Missed her next engagement and will need to prove her fitness
- MISS MELODY PEEL – Won a race over 2300m at Mons in Belgium on 6 January. She looked good notching up her first win and could show further progress
Summary: This is not an easy race for a number of reasons. MAMBA BERRY (10) has arguably the best form in this race but will need to overcome her No 10 draw behind the starting gate. She will be racing without shoes for the first time and that could assist her chances. MISS DE L’AUNAY (6) has improved racing unshod and will do so again. MELITTE DE RIVIERE (2) will do well if she keeps her mind on the task while MUSE DU GOUTIER (8) has form at this course.

- MILLIONS CYJUS – A mediocre 7th in a Class F over 2700m at Graignes on 30 November. Will need to up his game to feature
Summary: There was a lot to like about the return performance of MIGHTY RUN (3) after being off the track for more than a year. He has also changed trainers and further improvement is expected. MAGIC FOOT (2) has his foibles but must have a winning chance if he puts it all together. He has major disqualification issues but can win this if smart. JAYA DU QUENNE (12) has been in very good form of late and she can follow up on a good last win. - KAPITO CLUB – Disqualified in class G at Reims over 2550m on 7 December. Capable of doing better and has a place chance if smart
Summary: A very open race. JACKPOT DU DOME (9) was unlucky at Nantes last time out and could do a lot better over this shorter distance in a race like this, so gets the vote to score. KAISER TURGOT (4) is clearly better than the recent form suggests and can score. KOBE EIGHT (8) is returning from a break but if fit enough he is capable of getting involved in the finish. Summary: An interesting race. LUCKY LUCIANO (1) comes here in very good form. He fluffed his lines with a disqualification in his penultimate start but did win either side of that. His latest win over this course and distance suggests he will follow up. LUPIN DU BOURG (8) returned to form in his last start and will be a lively danger if in the right mood. - HIJO MOKO – Showed some improvement when fourth in G at this track over 2850m on 12 January. Might play a minor role at best
Summary: A very tricky lucky last race. JETPACK (2) is clearly talented but does come with disqualification issues. He gets the narrow vote to score. ILLIMITEE (7) faulted last time out at Nantes last time out but she is talented enough to bounce back and win a race of this nature. - LOUSTIC AMARLOUICA – Finished last of 8 in an Argentan Class F, on return to competition, 11 days ago. Hind shoes off but is being aimed too high
- LORENZO DU NOYER – Moderate element with just one race under his belt following a lengthy absence. Shoes on once more and others preferred
- LEADER DU SAPHIR – Quality element starting for the first time since last July. Has nothing to prove at this level but is going to need the race
- LEOLIO – Is considerably better than recent results would suggest. Takes a notable dip in category and under these conditions can start to get back in the game. Place chance
- LORD BLACKWOOD – Useful type that has gone from strength to strength lately, most recently running close 2nd in a Nantes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Alexis Collette back in the bike and must be considered a priority
- LEADER DE MARZY – Takes a step up in category after romping in a Chateaubriant Class F a month ago. Is head-and-shoulders better than the field and can make this his own if Aymeric Thomas keeps him focused
- L’AMI DANOVER – 5th in a Mauquenchy Class E 9 days ago. Appears to be coming out of a dark tunnel but still not a priority
- LE ROCKER DE PLAY – Eliminated on re-entry late last month in an Argentan Class F. Did encourage last time racing left-handed but still represents a first-5 chance at best
- LUTIN DE LA BASLE – Has turned a corner over past couple of months, latterly 3rd in an Angers Class F on 21 January. Has better clockwise credentials but always gives his best and should be retained
Summary: Very hard to fault when he can keep his action together, LEADER DE MARZY (6) made short work of his return run early last month and, hind shoes off this time, will be expected to double his money. Solid in his last 2 conditioners, LORD BLACKWOOD (5) returns to racing with pads and will be no soft touch. Courageous at Vincennes last week, LEOLIO (4) will have better chances here. LUTIN DE LA BASLE (9) has yet to deliver racing left-handed but has been showing his form and is hard to ignore.

- KEROC PURPLE – Tricky but useful type making first appearance since last April. Shoes on for comeback though and best to keep one’s powder dry
- KENNEDY TOUCH – Got back in the game at Saint-Brieuc on 23 January, coming 3rd of 13 in a 3150m Class F, his first barefoot start for new trainer. Antonin Andre back in the bike and, from the front row, must be afforded significant respect
- KICK UP GEDE – Modest individual that has done nothing noteworthy for past year and is not about to start now
- KOALA MIQUELLERIE – Failed to confirm Angers effort when unplaced in a Saint-Brieuc Class F late last month and can be ruled out
- KRACK DES VIGNES – Showed improvement 2 weeks ago when 2nd in a Class F at Grenade-sur-Garonne. Runs barefoot for the first time but will still have more to find
- KHOR SAINT AUBIN – Capable trotter but has endured an interrupted career. Starts for the first time since September and will need the run
- KRISTAL DU TRIO – Complicated sort but has ample ability. Will be fully fit by now, sports a fresh formula and, starting in front, is unlikely to disappoint
- KILLY D’IRATY – Took no time getting back down to business, running 3rd in a Grenade Class F 10 days ago. Enjoys a superb entry on the front line and does not make the long trip to Paris for nothing
- KNOCKANDO – Has turned a corner lately, most recently winning a Class F at Argentan on 23 December. Will be shod this time, however, and looks no more than a minor place prospect
- KANAK DU BOCAGE – Starts for the first time since being eliminated in Paris on 21 November. Front pads fitted this time but still not a concern
- KARAT COOL – Returned to competition on Boxing Day. Front shoes off but would still be preferred at a lower level
- KENDALL – Has picked up this term where he left off in the spring. Ran 2nd last time here and looks eminently capable of contesting the finish once more
- KAZAN DE VANDEL – Has not been seen out since running 7th in a Class D here in early-October and with shoes fitted will have nothing to offer
- KID DE CAPONET – Versatile element that was beaten only by a very good horse on re-entry in a Class F at Mauquenchy a fortnight ago. Will have come on for the race and has every chance of making his Laval debut a winning one
- KING SUN DRALIAM – Considerably better than recent results would suggest. Has no Laval references but will be sporting 4 pads this time, reined by Benjamin Rochard, and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- KRONOS D’ERPION – Sprang quite the surprise in a Vincennes Class E last week, running courageous 2nd of 12, and in similar shape can again finish in the mix
Summary: Particularly performant in the latter half of last year, KID DE CAPONET (15) ran close at Mauquenchy on his return from a spell and arguably looks more competitive this time. KENDALL (13), however, is close to his race and will be no pushover. 25m better off, and revitalised from his autumn break, KENNEDY TOUCH (3) will not be far off the mark if he can replicate his recent Saint-Brieuc performance. On the back row, but well-engaged nonetheless, KRONOS D’ERPION (17) will not be available at 37-1 this time.

- JACK SPARROW GEPE – Sprang a 77-1 surprise when 2nd in a Nantes Class F 2.5 weeks ago, but will struggle to make his mark this time
- JUSTAUCORPS – Ran pleasant 5th in a Chateaubriant Class F 2.5 weeks ago, but has otherwise been out of sorts and others easier to back
- JOKER DE LA CRIERE – Has been knocking at the door over recent months, most recently running 2nd in a Chateaubriant Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Top pilot at the helm this time and can give JADOU DU LUPIN (13) something to think about
- IDO MENDY – 4th to JAGUAR DJOB (11) in a Saint-Brieuc Class F on 23 January. Did not enjoy the best of trips that day and cannot be discounted
- INDIRISS – Has done nothing noteworthy since running 2nd in Lyon in December 2024 and is not about to change his ways
- JANGO DU THANA – Held her own, though shod, at Pontchateau and Graignes when being conditioned. Is in competition-mode this time and will be expected to contest a place on the podium
- INSERT BOY – Runner-up in 2 Vincennes amateur contests lately. Is not as competitively-shod this time but in current condition is very hard to ignore
- JUSTIN DES MARAIS – Capable on a good day but has just the one race under his belt and would be preferred barefoot
- JAG DE ROZEVIC – Reassured at Angers 3 weeks ago. Trainer could not have hoped for a better entry and Anthony Barrier will be keen to make hay
- JAGUAR DJOB – Made up for Nantes blip when victorious in a Class F at Saint-Brieuc on 23 January. Takes on a better lot this time but can still pick up a cheque
- JEWEL TOUCH – Useful type that raced well here last winter. Is barefoot as he likes and although in better company is still worth keeping an eye on
- JADOU DU LUPIN – Does not need to be barefoot to win a race of this nature, as he twice proved in the autumn. Is plainly in rude health and should be able to wrap this up
- JUSTE SNOB – Ran valiant 4th in a Vincennes Class D on 22 January. Races shod, with trainer in the bike this time, and others preferred
Summary: A fine campaigner that has not put a foot wrong for some time, JADOU DU LUPIN (13) returns to a track he likes and, even though shod this time, still looks the one to beat. He is going to face opposition though from front-line starters JOKER DE LA CRIERE (4), who will be partnered by Alexandre Abrivard for the first time, JANGO DU THANA (7), who will be barefoot following a pair of of encouraging re-entry runs, and INSERT BOY (8) who sports 4 pads for the first time on his return to the professional ranks.

- LADIVA DE PARIS – Arguably easier to use in the other code but has evident talent. Should be more at home here and Charles Julien Bigeon will be mindful to keep her focused. Place prospect
- LIESSE DU CHENE – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd, a place behind LIYAVA (4), in a Nantes Class E on 16 January. Will not be available at 63-1 this time and is unlikely to be as competitive either
- LIYAVA – Took some time to come to hand this term but ran excellent 2nd to a good horse in a Nantes Class E on 16 January. Leading driver in the bike this time and could well impose
- LARA VRIE – Ran 3rd in Bordeaux before pleasing again at Angers 2 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard stays faithful and looks competitive for the spoils
- LYPSIE THONIC – Showed improvement when 4th of 10 in a Nantes Class E on 12 January but still has significantly more to find
- LILI DE POMMERAYE – Has not once disappointed in current configuration, latterly 3rd in a Mauquenchy Class E on 12 January. In similar company this time and can play a leading role
- LUNE ROSE D’ALESA – Won a 2925m Cagnes claimer 10 days ago, but at this level will struggle to make any impact
- LOLITA DES LANDES – Blows hot and cold but can trot when she deigns to. Ran 2nd under these conditions during the autumn, is nicely-entered here, and will have her supporters
- LAIKA DU LEARD – Useful mare that has won going both directions. Has not been seen out since September but is competitively-shod and not to be underestimated
Summary: Good second at Nantes in mid-January, LIYAVA (4) will be entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for the first time and can win this if she gets around unscathed. LARA VRIE (5) is seldom seen racing anti-clockwise but with Benjamin Rochard reining will be in most capable hands. LILI DE POMMERAYE (7) has turned a corner lately and on her current trajectory is easy to fancy for a place in the picture. LADIVA DE PARIS (2) is not the easiest of horses to handle but will be more suited to the Laval profile and, with application, could pleasantly surprise.

- KRACOTTE GIRL – Takes a dip in category after being well-beaten in a Vincennes Class D on 30 December. Is unlikely to create an upset but it worth monitoring all the same
- JENNY JO – Has never shown any aptitude for the monte code and even though reconfigured, is not the easiest to trust
- KEZIO PEJI – Forced to endure an interrupted career but has demonstrated considerable ridden aptitude. Has no monte references here but it is only a question of time before he comes good again
- JASMIN DU POHOSE – Has looked very ordinary since returning this winter. Hind shoes back on this time and cannot be considered a player
- KRACDARCHE – Made short work of 3 of his last 4 runs. Has monte form in Sweden and even though taking on a good lot here, still looks eminently up to the challenge. Claim
- KEEP COOL BELRI – Debuted modestly in the discipline in Paris on Christmas Day. Drops back in category and will be barefoot, but still not easy to recommend
- JUPITER DE VAL – Previously a good sort but has been off the boil for some time and will first need to re-establish his credentials
- KLASSIC FROMENTRO – Honest element that seldom disappoints when focused. Is unraced for almost a year but will be barefoot and should not be overlooked
- KAISER DE MORTREE – Debuts in the discipline after some lacklustre efforts in the other code. The change of scenery may be just the ticket though. Attention
- KENENISA SKILL – Highly-dependable mare with superb monte credentials. Has been reconfigured for the occasion and it is only a question of time before she gets her nose in front
- KING DE PLAY – Forced to run nose-to-the-wind in a Cordemais Class E 3 weeks ago. Is clearly much better than the result would imply and could even impose this time
Summary: Winner 3 times in 4 starts since coming back to France, KRACDARCHE (6) returns well-engaged to the monte code; he goes barefoot for the occasion and has a legitimate claim. A winner under these conditions during the autumn, KING DE PLAY (12) is nicely-entered on the back line and will be expected to make up for his below-par Cordemais performance. KENENISA SKILL (11) has not got her nose in front since February 2025, but she consistently gives her best and sports modified shoeing. KEZIO PEJI (4) is back in his code of preference after being conditioned under harness and it will not be long before he shows his true face again.

C6 – PRIX D’ENTRAMMES – 2850m (a2m) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 18,000 - MARI ET FEMME – Has yet to show any particular aptitude for the game and is not about to on first appearance since May 2025
- MARECHAL DU LEVANT – Started to come good in the autumn before being sent for a rest. Plainly has a lot of untapped potential and, with application, can get in on the action
- MYSTERIEUX – Got off the mark at first time of asking but eliminated in next two. Comes here fresh and, although unlikely to get his nose in front, can play a part if he stays in stride
- MONARQUE DU TRIEUX – Respectable colt that has not been seen out since last summer and is going to need the run
- MENDEL DE L’ITON – Placed twice before losing his action, when going well, in a 3000m Nantes Class E 10 days ago. Is plainly in good shape though and, if applied, can finish close
- MICKEY DE CRENNES – No slouch on a good day but has been out of competition since late-October and is likely to be a race shy
- MYSTIC DES THUYAS – Good future prospect that was quickly eliminated at Mauquenchy 2 weeks ago. Has won 2 of the 3 races he has finished and can improve that statistic if he gets off on the right foot
- MONSTER WILLIAMS – Modest 5th of 6 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F a fortnight back. Is no champion and is unlikely to influence the result
- MATADOR DU PONT – Regularly in the thick of things and has demonstrated decent versatility, but starts for the first time since August and is expected to need the race
- MEARAS PAULOIS – Stylishly got off the mark in an Argentan Class F on 14 December. Has had ample time to get back on the boil and steps up in category with a lot to offer. Chance
Summary: Sent for a spell after opening his account in late-November, MYSTIC DES THUYAS (7) was a bit fresh on comeback but will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard this time and can set the record straight. Another improving element, MEARAS PAULOIS (10) lost his maiden tag last time out; he comes here fresh and barefoot though and can make a big splash if he turns. MENDEL DE L’ITON (5) has yet to get off the mark but has come close more than once and can play an active role if he stays trotting. MARECHAL DU LEVANT (2) has not been seen out for 4 months but receives an Anthony Barrier drive this time and should be taken seriously.

C7 – PRIX DE LOIRON – 2850m (a2m) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 18,000 - METISSE DE VAL – Interesting future prospect that raced better on debut 3 days ago than the result would imply. Hind shoes off this time and has a realistic chance of opening her account
- MIGRAINE DE CONNEE – Made up for Meslay-du-Maine elimination when 2nd in a Cabourg Class F in early-December, and returns fresh to competition with a a decent chance of winning this
- MISSING FLIGNY – Complicated filly that ended last year on a low note. Has not been seen out for 5 months and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- MY QUEEN BLUE – Showed early promise but has been showing the limits of her capacity and represents a minor place chance at best
- MAGIA LA TRIGALE – Has raced little, but at a lower level. Is unseen since August 2025 and is not about to set off any fireworks
- MAHALIA D’IRAI – Eliminated as often as not but is not devoid of talent. Never easy to gauge but in this company can play a role if behaved
- MARQUISE DES ARRIS – No slouch on a good day but does have something of a temperament. Has been afforded time to come into herself and, if applied, can compete for a first-3 cheque
- MY QUEEN – Made a modest return to competition at Argentan on 17 January, coming last but one in a 2875m Class F, and will need to find significantly more
- MEISINGA PHEDO – Was by no means disgraced when 6th in an Angers Class E a week ago. Failed to make any impression here last summer, but will have since come on, and at this level can finish close
- MA TALOU JOLY – Races barefoot and competes under harness for the first time. Has not been seen out since July but has evident ability and cannot be discounted
Summary: After qualifying in 1’16″7 in December, METISSE DE VAL (1) put in an excellent performance on her Machecoul debut last Sunday, which is not reflected in the result, but she will be competitively-shod and can bring home the bacon this time, provided she gets off on the right foot. Given a short rest after running 2nd to a classy individual at Cabourg 2 months ago, MIGRAINE DE CONNEE (2) will be reined by Anthony Barrier for her Laval bow and looks the principal threat. MEISINGA PHEDO (9) enjoys a good entry and drops marginally in category with a decent card to play. The returning MARQUISE DES ARRIS (7) is never far from losing her action, but she has evident ability and will not be far off the mark if she stays in stride.

C8 – PRIX DE LA CHAPELLE ANTHENAISE – 2850m (a2m) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 15,000 - NICE AND FORTUNE – Well-related filly that showed significant potential in qualification here at the start of November, and in similar form will take some beating
- NUTELLA DE VANDEL – Showed significant potential in qualification despite not appreciating the conditions. Should appreciate Laval profile though and benefits from being competitively-shod. Chance
- NYPTIA D’ARIANE – Untried filly that qualified in 1’20″1 at Meslay-du-Maine last July. Anthony Barrier in the bike for debut though and should prove competitive when it matters
- NIGHT DRESS – Eliminated on debut in an Angers Class F a fortnight ago, but was impressive nevertheless. Will have come on for the race and is not incapable of opening her account
- NAOMIE DEUGE – Looked rather ordinary on debut in an Angers Class F a fortnight ago and will need to take her game up several notches
- NINON DE ZIETTE – Respectable but unthreatening 5th of 8 in a Graignes Class F last month, first time out. Should have progressed for the run though and can figure more prominently
- NIACKELLA – Yet to take the world by storm but sports pads for the first time, hails from a yard going good-guns, and must be taken seriously
- NIKITA DES ARRIS – Picked up some prizemoney when 5th in a Cabourg Class D last October, but has not been seen out since and can expect to be race-rusty
Summary: Full-sister to the talented Keynote, NICE AND FORTUNE (1) qualified superbly here during the autumn and, if as good as anticipated, can wrap this up. The similarly untried NUTELLA DE VANDEL (2) showed in qualification that she had little liking for racing right-handed, but nevertheless flew up and, with hind pads on for the occasion, has a realistic chance of getting straight off the mark. NIGHT DRESS (4) showed considerable form on her Angers debut and can play a leading role if she gets off on the right foot.
