R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE GRENADE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 59,000
- HOLD THE LINE – Made up for Nantes elimination when 2nd in a Class D over course and distance 9 days ago. Takes on a better lot and is unlikely to repeat, but can nevertheless play a small role
- HARRYBEAU DE COUET – Somewhat surprising 3rd, a place behind HOLD THE LINE (1), in a Class D over course and distance 9 days ago. In this company though will have his work cut out
- STACCATO HL – Faithful servant that tends to go well for Benjamin Rochard. Held his own in superior company last time out and looks main threat to IBROX PARK (8)
- HASARD – Went close in Bordeaux 3 weeks ago, then oddly disappointing 6th behind IMELDA (6) in a 2175m Class D here on 3 February. Sports a revised formula and is not incapable of getting back in the game
- HUMOUR FESTIF – Starts for first time since coming surprise 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Class D here on 28 December. Imposed last time over 2700m here and the Eric Raffin-factor must be taken into consideration
- IMELDA – Produced a good performance to run 2nd in a 2175m Class D here on 3 February. Sports front pads this time, which has worked well for her in the past, and must be taken seriously
- GAILLARDE QUERAY – Pleasantly surprising 3rd, a place behind IMELDA (6) in a 2175m Class D here on 3 February, but chances of a repeat appear limited
- IBROX PARK – After 2 years 7 months away from the discipline, got straight down to business over 2200m here on 19 December. Was subsequently less effective under harness at Cagnes but, winner of his only start over the main track, looks the pick of the field
Summary: Most impressive winner over the inner course on his return to the monte code in December, the superbly-engaged IBROX PARK (8) faces his first real objective of the new year and under Alexandre Abrivard should take some beating. STACCATO HL (3) has not won since October 2024 but he consistently gives his best and takes a dip in category with a realistic chance of contesting the finish. Eric Raffin takes over on HUMOUR FESTIF (5) who ran 3rd in a competitive Class D here in late-December.

C2 – PRIX DE LANNION – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MISTER MOMO – Eliminated in both Vincennes starts to date. Has yet to show much liking for the venue and even with shoes off is not easy to recommend
- PRINS PAASLOO – Unexceptional 6th behind GO BIG EFFE (9) in a Class D under these conditions on 22 January. Hind shoes off this time but chances still slim
- MISTER CHARM – Unremarkable type starting for the first time since early-November. Hind shoes off for the occasion but still not a player
- GIOIELLO ROC – Hardy transalpine raider making French debut after running 2nd in Modena early this month. Has previously beaten a certain Ginger Gio and looks competitive for a place on the podium
- GHOSTRIDER FONT – Failed to pull off the hat-trick when 5th behind GO BIG EFFE (9) in a Class D under these conditions on 22 January. Races first-time barefoot though and cannot be discounted
- GRAND TUR JOYEUSE – Flattering 5th in a 2850m Class D late last month and simply has too much ground to make up
- GRAN PREMIO (ITY) – Made a good transition from winning over 2060m in Turin to running 3rd, a place behind GO BIG EFFE (9), in a Class D under these conditions on 22 January. Goes barefoot again and should be good enough to pick up some prizemoney
- MYTHIQUE JOSSELYN – Kicked the winter off nicely here but eliminated in last 2. Has been reconfigured once again and can get in on the action if given the opportunity
- GO BIG EFFE – Took no time getting back in action following his break, running 2nd in a Class D over track and trip on 22 January. Is plainly close to his race and will be expected to bring the fight to MUZAN KIBUTSUJI (12)
- MALIGNO – Fine trotter that seldom disappoints. Has not raced since being headed in a Class D over course and distance 2 months ago though and others preferred
- MANDELA SEVEN – Starts for the first time since winning a Class D over course and distance on Boxing Day. Romain Congard in the bike this time and will have other ambitions
- MUZAN KIBUTSUJI – Serious individual that has shown a liking for these conditions. Gave a fine account over 2850m here late last month, but is clearly better than that and has every chance of getting his nose in front
- MERMOZ – Somewhat disappointing since being stepped up in category but is first-time barefoot and with Eric Raffin reining will be afforded every chance. Player
- MARLEY DE BAILLE – Useful dual-discipline element that faulted under the saddle here last weekend. Goes barefoot for first time under harness and, with application, should not disappoint
- MADMAX JEF – In the frame in last 3 starts here, all over course and distance. Races barefoot this time, enjoys a terrific entry, and can again finish in the mix
Summary: MUZAN KIBUTSUJI (12) has taken well to Vincennes conditions; he put in a fine performance here late last month after having run 5th in a Gr.3 on Christmas Day and appears to have a realistic chance of opening his French account. Robin Bakker will still be mindful of GO BIG EFFE (9) who was beaten only by a very good horse here last month, and quality Italian colt GIOIELLO ROC (4) who will be barefoot for the first time and entrusted to Gabriele Gelormini. MADMAX JEF (15) has been knocking at the door here this winter, and he too will be first-time barefoot.

C3 – PRIX D’HYERES – 2850m (a2m) – – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LORD DAIRPET – Showed considerable talent at 3 before being forced onto the sidelines. Has been eased back in to the game, is plainly in competition-mode this time, and looks a leading contender
- LUGANO – Difficult sort that was never at his ease here on 18 January. Gets another crack at it though and will have his chances if David Thomain keeps him focused
- LOUSTIC VERT – Won 4 of 5 last season before being sent for a break. Is competitively-shod for re-entry but in this company will need to find more
- LUMINEUX – Disappointing on the whole this winter and with pads fitted is unlikely to shake things up
- LUCHADOR – Moderate sort that was eliminated in both runs following the layoff. Has placed just once in 8 appearances over the main track and can be passed over
- LAST DES BROUSSES – Has a pair of runs under his belt following a 3 months’ break. Hind shoes off this time but is still out of his league
- L’AS DES CARAIBES – Has done nothing but improve this winter, latterly securing a Class E at Lyon-La Soie on 19 January. Won his only start over the main track and, despite the hike in category, cannot be discounted
- LITTERAIRE – Showed his form here 3 weeks ago despite being eliminated. Will be at full-fitness by now and, with application, and Eric Raffin in the bike, will not be far off the mark
- LEVEL ONE SYGA – Never far from losing his action but impressed when 2nd in a 2100m Class D here 10 days ago, a first run since late-November, and will only have progressed for the race
- LINO GUILLERVILLE – Close 4th behind LEVEL ONE SYGA (9) in a 2100m Class D here 10 days ago. Has yet to deliver over 2850m but, given the entry, must be considered a player
- LE BIEF – Returned to winning ways in a Cagnes Class E on 28 January. Has little love for the Vincennes main track but in current condition is hard to ignore
- LITCHI BAM – Unraced since imposing across town last October, but is barefoot for re-entry and, at 60 Euros from elimination, is easy to fancy for the win
Summary: A quality element that missed the entirety of his 4yo season, LORD DAIRPET (1) has a pair of conditioners under his belt and, racing barefoot for the first time, could well get straight back down to business. LITCHI BAM (12) has not been seen out since imposing at Enghien in October, but he benefits from a golden entry and will be barefoot for the occasion. LEVEL ONE SYGA (9) gave a surprisingly good account on his recent comeback and looks competitively well in. 4th that day after having won at Cagnes in January, LINO GUILLERVILLE (10) also enjoys a good entry and can challenge for any of the 3 steps on the podium.
SELECTIONS
LORD DAIRPET (1) – LITCHI BAM (12) – LEVEL ONE SYGA (9) – LINO GUILLERVILLE (10)
C4 – PRIX DE PLEAUX – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 41,000 - JUDICIOUS DAYDREAM – Modest individual that has failed to make any impression for some time and is not about to change his ways
- JIVE BOY – Disappointing in a Mauquenchy Class E 3 weeks ago. Is clearly in shape but would be preferred in the amateur division
- JAB KISS – Unable to confirm fine Argentan run when disqualified at Challans last weekend. Is out of his depth here and can be disregarded
- JAMES RULES – Unremarkable trotter with just one race in him since the layoff and has nothing to contribute
- JOHN ANGOT – Has not put a foot wrong since mid-December but is less competitively-shod this time and best to keep one’s powder dry
- JET DE BUSSET – Sports new configuration on first start for new trainer. Is unlikely to spring any surprises but with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike cannot be discounted
- JERRY DE L’ERDRE – Has a pair of runs under his belt since the spell. Goes barefoot as he was when 4th under these conditions in November and should be good enough to make first 5
- JOUR ET NUIT – Won smartly at Graignes in late-December before confirming at Nantes a fortnight later. Sports fresh shoeing for the occasion and, with application, could yet complete the 3-timer
- JOKER DU CHOQUEL – 2nd in a Class D before coming 5th in a Class E here on 18 January. Is significantly better than the result would suggest and looks a leading contender this time around
- JOYAU BLUE – Was going well when eliminated in a Graignes Class E early this month. Is not about to paint the town red but can nevertheless pick up some scraps
- JIVRY – Surprising 3rd at Amiens before unsurprisingly failing to confirm at Mauquenchy next time, and has no possible chance
- JACKPOT D’ORGUEIL – Not the most dependable of horses but has been acquitting himself competitively of late and, in this field, should have the capacity to finish in the mix
- JOG JELOCA – Fine campaigner that has been showing his form for some time. Impressive at Graignes earlier this month and will be no easy touch if he takes to the new conditions
- JOKER DE MARZY – Just missed out on the hat-trick when 2nd in a Cordemais Class D a month ago. Takes on some better horses this time but will be barefoot and ideally-engaged. Place chance
Summary: Back at the top of his game this winter, JOKER DU CHOQUEL (9) should logically have finished closer here last month and Alexandre Abrivard will be determined to set the record straight. He will still want to be wary of JOUR ET NUIT (8) who returns to Vincennes reconfigured and on a hat-trick, and the well-entered and in-form JOKER DE MARZY (14) who races barefoot for his return to the capital. Consistently performant in his current configuration, JOG JELOCA (13) stormed up at Graignes a fortnight ago and makes his Vincennes bow with a lot to contribute.

C5 – PRIX DE LA LUSOPHONIE (PRIX D’ARRAS) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - IZZIE D’ERONVILLE – Capable on a good day but somewhat disappointing of late. Stays shod and best to hold off
- JERZINHO SPORT – Hardy trotter that seldom puts a foot wrong and most recently ran 3rd in a Class D here. Will be competitively-shod this time and can get a look in
- INDOCILE – Has looked rather ordinary for some time, most recently trounced at Agen, and with shoes fitted can be confidently ignored
- CHESTNUT (SWE) – Tends to go well here but was unlucky 3 weeks ago when denied a run in a 2700m Class C. Is unlikely to create an upset but can nevertheless hold his own
- IMHOTEP FROMENTRO – Runner-up twice in the provinces before coming 4th to JANKO HAUFOR (11) in a 2850m Class B here on 22 January. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time and will not be far off the mark
- JIZOU D’ETANG – Failed to confirm early-January performance when failing to fire behind JANKO HAUFOR (11) in 22 January race of reference. Should not be judged for the run and can be backed with confidence this time. Place chance
- INSTANT D’HAUFOR – Quality element making just 2nd appearance following a lengthy layoff and with shoes on will have nothing to contribute
- GLOBAL CONCEPT – Serious campaigner that won a Bordeaux Class C 3 weeks ago, then followed up with 2100m Class D victory here 10 days ago. Will be similarly-shod and looks eminently capable of securing the 3-timer
- MATEO DI QUATTRO – Has not been as sharp over the winter as he was earlier last season. Is not the worst horse here but is not the most performant either
- JOURNEE REVEE – Lost her action in Bordeaux early last month, then unthreatening 7th to JANKO HAUFOR (11) in a 2850m Class B here on 22 January, and can be passed over
- JANKO HAUFOR – Hard to knock when focused in the day’s configuration. Has been exceptional over recent months and, with form maintained, can apply the pressure on GLOBAL CONCEPT (8)
- JOLIVERT DU GERS – Took on too much on Christmas Eve when 7th behind CHESTNUT (SWE) (4) in a Class C over track and trip. Has been afforded ample time to get back to his best and has a realistic chance of picking up a cheque
- NICE PRESENT – Reliability not his strong suit but ran 5th in a Class C over 2700m here on 24 January. A repeat, however, seems improbable
- DOWHATYOUDODOWELL – Unexceptional trotter that has done little of note under harness for some time and even though barefoot still looks a rank outsider
- IDOLE D’OURVILLE – Campaigned too high in last 2 starts, latterly well-beaten in Gr.1 Prix de France a week ago. Emmanuel Varin has found a good race for her and, at this level, is not about to disappoint
Summary: Winner of 5 of the 6 races he has run in Paris, GLOBAL CONCEPT (8) made his mark across town during the summer and most recently opened his Vincennes account with room to spare. He won his only start for Gabriele Gelormini who will be keen to keep their perfect partnership going. JANKO HAUFOR (11) has been in cracking form here this winter and most recently dominated a Class B. Bizarrely lacklustre that day, JIZOU D’ETANG (6) will be expected to bounce back. IMHOTEP FROMENTRO (5) took 4th and, if still on the boil, can again challenge for a place in the frame. Back at a more reasonable level after failing to make any impact in the Gr.1 Prix de France, IDOLE D’OURVILLE (15) will not be going home empty-handed.

C6 – PRIX COMTE PIERRE DE MONTESSON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Harness – EUR € 200,000 - NANO UP STAR – Unthreatening when eliminated in a Class A here last Sunday and under these conditions has no possible chance
- NORD AMERICAINE – Sprang a 50-1 surprise when 2nd to NORMANDIE NIEMEN (13) in Gr.2 Prix Roquepine in 24 January. Is unlikely to repeat, even with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike, and others preferred
- NET MONEY – Sports 4 pads for the first time after being eliminated in last 2. Is plainly talented though and can get a look in if he stays focused
- NOVA TIM – Honest filly that always gives her best but, against the colts, will have too much to do
- NIKKEI PONT ROYAL – Takes quite the hike in class after comfortably winning a Class A over course and distance last weekend, but is still biting off more than he can chew
- NOELA JOSSELYN – Has twice failed to impress since running 3rd in Prix Gelinotte early last month, and others easier to support
- NOT THIS TIME – Progressive colt that ran out an eye-catching winner of 2175m Gr.3 Prix Leopold Verroken here 2 weeks ago. Takes a notable hike in class but has buckets of untapped potential and must be taken seriously
- NELSON EMGE – Failed to confirmed fine Prix Maurice de Gheest performance when eliminated in Prix Paul Viel 3 weeks ago, but with application will be no shrinking violet
- NYMPHE D’ELLE – Won a Class A here on 17 January then ran 3rd to NORMANDIE NIEMEN (13) in Gr.2 Prix Roquepine a week later. Mattheiu Abrivard reining this time but is unlikely to upset the status quo
- NEVER FORGET – Consistent colt than ran 4th behind NOB HILL (11) in Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is not about to cause a surprise but sports front pads for the first time and should have the wherewithal to pick up a first-5 payout
- NOB HILL – Top-tier colt that ran 2nd in Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel over course and distance on 24 January despite running last km without cover. Is a rising star and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to prove the point
- NUEVO CASH – Quality colt that ran 3rd, a place behind NOB HILL (11), in Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is consistently in the thick of things and can again contest a place on the podium
- NORMANDIE NIEMEN – Occasionally a handful but otherwise a high-class filly. Sports front pads for the first time and even against the colts still has a claim on the race
- NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL – Won a pair of fillies-only Gr.2 races in a row before flopping in Gr.2 Prix Roquepine over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Should not be too hastily-condemned though as François Lagadeuc endeavours to put things right
Summary: An exceptional colt with just one blot on his otherwise excellent copybook, NOB HILL (11) put in quite the showing when close 2nd in the Gr.2 Prix Paul Viel here 3 weeks ago. He is sure though to come up against Philippe Allaire’s wonderfully talented, and padded, NORMANDIE NIEMEN (13) who simply romped in the Gr.2 Prix Roquépine on the same day, and NOT THIS TIME (7) who secured a Gr.3 with authority a fortnight ago. NUEVO CASH (12) met little opposition in the Gr.2 Prix Maurice de Gheest and his recent Paul Viel performance did not go unnoticed.

C7 – PRIX DE LA GACILLY – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - ELEGANZA AV – Handy mare with decent Vincennes references but has not been seen out since September and will have nothing to offer
- EDIMA – Encouraged on Vincennes debut on 26 December, however was trounced in a 2100m Class D next time, and will not have many friends
- KLASS HAUFOR – Would have finished close in a Class C over track and trip late last month had she kept trotting. Has yet to deliver under these conditions but will be no pushover if David Thomain manages to keep her focused
- KUNAMATATA – Imposed at Cordemais prior to coming 6th in a Class C over course and distance in late-January. Is not an obvious choice but she still has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
- MAKE IT A STAR – Back under harness following 3 straight eliminations. Has been reconfigured but still not a concern
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Surprise winner of a 2100m Class D here in early-December, and was then unlucky in 17 January race of reference. Sports 4 pads this time though and best to ignore
- KYNTE FLUSH – Gave a fine account of first objective of the winter, running 2nd to KALINE DE FAEL (14) in a 2700m Class C here on 20 December. Will have come on for the run and, with application, can finish close
- KASSYA – Sprang a 58-1 surprise when 2nd in 17 January race of reference. Presents decent credentials over 2850m of the main track, but may still be taking on too much
- KANAKA DE BUSSET – 6th behind KASSYA (8) in a Class C over course and distance on 17 January. Alternates the good with the less good but is always game and merits respect
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – Takes a dip in category after running 4th behind KASSYA (8) in a Class C over course and distance on 17 January. Has been freshly reconfigured for the occasion, has never disappointed over 2850m here, and is not about to start
- JAMAICA BROWN – Won an amateurs event under these conditions in late-December but has not been quite as sharp since. Returns to a previous formula and is unlikely to spice things up
- KOMERE DE CORDAY – Bit off more than she could chew 3.5 weeks ago when 7th in a 2100m Class B. Takes a notable dip in category, won over course and distance last October, but still represents little more than a minor place chance
- LOOK OF LOVE – Useful mare that has been acquitting herself honourably here of late, however in this company, may struggle to make her mark
- KALINE DE FAEL – Surprisingly eliminated under the saddle at Angers late last month. Has otherwise been in excellent shape, won her only start under these conditions, and it would be no surprise to see her win this
- KUEEN’S PRIDE – First-rate mare that has not put a foot wrong this winter. Is close to opening her Vincennes account and this could very well be the moment
- KIVALA RENARDIER – Should not be too hastily-judged for faulting in Bordeaux 3 weeks ago. Has form in superior company and the entry will only enhance her chances
Summary: A fine campaigner that has taken well to Vincennes conditions, KUEEN’S PRIDE (15) put in a very good performance here last month and looks capable of imposing this time. She will still feel the heat from stablemate KALINE DE FAEL (14) who is as good in one code as the other, and the well-engaged KIVALA RENARDIER (16) who will be competitive at this level, if applied. KYNTE FLUSH (7) is difficult to knock when she has her mind on the game and will be expected to play an active role.

C8 – PRIX D’ORTHEZ – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - MOOREA DE CHANLECY – 4th to MOSTRA DE BANVILLE (7) in Gr.3 Prix de Riberac over course and distance on 11 January, but will have too much to do on this occasion
- MINUTY DU GERS – Sent for a spell after winning 2 in a row here in November. Convincingly imposed on comeback in a Class A here 3 weeks ago and should again prove competitive for a first-5 cheque
- MUST ATOUT – Was not disgraced when 5th to MAGICO DE LOU (10) over course and distance a fortnight ago. Has ground to make up but has been reconfigured for the occasion and should not disappoint if focused
- PARANOH NEWPORT – Starts for the first time since winning a 2100m Gr.2 in Victoria Park on 14 November. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and will be expected to play a leading role
- GINGER GIO – Has not been seen out since winning a 2100m Gr.3 here on 13 December. Is first-time barefoot but appears to be taking on too much
- MAESTRO RIVER – Undeniably capable but has been struggling for some time. Has been reconfigured but others still preferred
- MOSTRA DE BANVILLE – Made short work of Gr.3 Prix de Riberac before being eliminated when full of running in Gr.3 Prix d’Avignon over course and distance late last month. On better behaviour can win this
- MASINA DE TILLARD – Has taken her game to another level since switching codes and, unseen since last April, will not be given a hard race
- MAKE YOUR DAY – Unbeaten in all 3 starts this term, most recently a 2175m Class A here on 20 December. Has not been seen out since but is confirmed when fresh and should be able to wrap this up
- MAGICO DE LOU – Held off MAKE A DREAM (11) in a blanket finish to win Gr.3 Prix d’Avignon over course and distance a fortnight ago. Goes barefoot again, with Alexandre Abrivard reining this time, and will have his supporters
- MAKE A DREAM – Ran 2nd to MAGICO DE LOU (10) in a blanket finish over course and distance a fortnight ago. Is patently close to his race and on good behaviour can finish close
- MAYA DU SURF – Honest filly that clinched 2100m Gr.3 Prix Albert Rayon here mid-December. Has not raced for 2 months but sports fresh shoeing and will be worth monitoring
- MEMPHIS DE BRASSE – Respectable but never dangerous 5th in a 2100m Gr.2 here last weekend. Races barefoot again but a repeat seems unlikely
Summary: A talented colt that has tasted defeat just the once, MAKE YOUR DAY (9) has no references over 2850m here, but has shown considerable versatility and can pick up this year where he left off last season. That said, Dutch star PARANOH NEWPORT (4) is already a Gr.2 winner and although unseen since November, he will be competitively-shod and no soft touch. MOSTRA DE BANVILLE (7) is difficult to use but she won a Gr.3 in November and another early last month. MAKE A DREAM (11) needed no time to start showing his form after the autumn break and just missed out here late last month.

C9 – PRIX DU PONTAVICE DE HEUSSEY – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 – Mounted – EUR € 90,000 - IMPERIAL COGLAIS – Serious trotter with very good Vincennes monte credentials but at this level of competition can expect to be found wanting
- FLEURON D’ACADIE – 2nd in a Gr.2 under these conditions last September but has failed to confirm since and can be passed over
- HYMNE DU GERS – Not the most reliable of horses but has fine references under harness. Has a lot going for him here and will be expected to finish in the money
- GOLD VOICE – Produced a 100-1 surprise when 5th in Gr.1 Prix de l’Ile-de-France over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Was most impressive that day and can confirm
- IDEAL DU ROCHER – Switches back to the monte code after securing a 2100m Class A here last weekend, and Mathieu Mottier can be forgiven for feeling bullish
- FILOU D’ANJOU – Sprang an 89-1 surprise when victorious in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jacques Andrieu here 3 weeks ago. A repeat seems unlikely but will generate more support than he did that day
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Has yet to win under the saddle but has decent references all the same. Has imposed under harness over 2175m but looks a minor place prospect at best
- IMPALA DE VAL – Wonderful servant with an enviable strike-rate. Has nothing to prove in this grade of race and can bring home the bacon if 2175m is not too short
- FILWELL – Quality veteran with solid 2175m credentials. Will be fit after a pair of conditioners and, barefoot for the occasion, will be expected to finish close
Summary: Most impressive winner of a harness Class A on his comeback last weekend, IDEAL DU ROCHER (5) will have been kept on the boil and, having passed his monte test last November, he returns to the discipline with a realistic chance of doubling his money. Mathieu Mottier will still be legitimately concerned by IMPALA DE VAL (8) who, although untried over 2175m, has been firing on all cylinders and will be no easy touch. As tough as they come and never easy to knock when barefoot, FILWELL (9) has a pair of runs under his belt since his lengthy break and, with application, can trot his way onto the podium. HYMNE DU GERS (3) makes just his 2nd appearance in the code, but will be barefoot with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons this time, and must be afforded respect.

C10 – PRIX DE FRANCHEVILLE – LA BARRE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - MON PLAISIR – Useful colt but has looked rather ordinary lately and even though reconfigured for the first time, still has little to contribute
- MIKADO GEDE – Has yet to excel over the main track but is not devoid of ability. Showed his condition here last weekend and can make the frame if Benjamin Rochard keeps him trotting
- MANNINEN SEVEN – Has turned a corner recently and has shown a liking for the Vincennes main track. Is more competitively-shod this time and can exact revenge on stable companion MELLOW SPEED (6) who has his measure earlier in the month
- MAMBO DE JAUDRAIS – Won over track and trip in November but less effective in 2 since and others easier to back
- MANIGOD – Has not been seen out since last September. Is here for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
- MELLOW SPEED – Won over the inner course late last month, a week before confirming in a Class D over the main track, and can complete the 3-timer if he holds off MANNINEN SEVEN (3)
- MAJOR DU BISTON – Returns to a more reasonable level after failing to fire in a Class A here 3 weeks ago. Should appreciate this shorter trip and is unlikely to let the side down
- MELCHIOR JAMES – Handy colt with form at this level. Has not raced since early-November but is first-time barefoot for re-entry and looks good enough to finish in the mix
- MANHATTAN JIEL – Back under harness after placing in the other code here 3 weeks ago. A player though, he is not
- MEA CULPA – Is better than his 7th behind MAJOR DU BISTON (7) in a 2100m Class B here on 18 January would imply. Is not about to cause an upset but can nevertheless get in on the action
Summary: MANNINEN SEVEN (3) has begun to come good again since being allowed to race competitively-shod. He ran close 2nd to stablemate MELLOW SPEED (6) here earlier in the month, sports modified shoeing, and can turn the tables and deny Romain Congard’s colt the hat-trick. MIKADO GEDE (2) was eliminated early under these very conditions last weekend but subsequently showed his form, and the new formula could make all the difference. MAJOR DU BISTON (7) took on too much last time out but, barefoot at this level, can play an active role.
