6. JAMAIQUE DAIRPET – 2nd at Le Mont-Saint-Michel before coming good 4th of 13 in a 2725m Lisieux Class F on 4 July. Is proven here and looks closest rival to KARNAC WOOD (5)
7. KIDY D’EPONA – Sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien monté Class D last Saturday. Here for a change of scenery and can be disregarded
8. KEN DU POMMEREUX – Off the boil for past 2 seasons, most recently sanctioned in a 2750m Class D here a week ago and, barefoot or not, has no possible chance
9. JALANSKI – Reliability not his strong suit but won a 3450m Agon-Coutainville Class F on 28 July. Not ideally-drawn, but reverts to his recent Cabourg configuration, and is still worth retaining for a first-5 cheque
10. KARA DE PADD – Has twice failed to confirm her early-July Cabourg success, latterly 8th of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 31 July, and from the 2nd row is unlikely to spring any surprises
11. JOHNNY BE GOOD ER – Seldom disappoints when focused, most recently close 2nd of 8 in a 2150m Argentan Class E mid-July. Is new to the venue, and starts on the back row, but will be one to watch if Clément Frecelle manages to keep him trotting
12. JIMBO SPORT – Sanctioned in 5 of last 6, latterly a Class F over course and distance mid-July, and will not be influencing the result
Summary: Not once out of the first three since his victorious debut, KARNAC WOOD (5) has returned in excellent shape this season and has every chance of confirming his recent Agen success. Starting just to his outside, JAMAIQUE DAIRPET (6) is plainly close to her race and, reunited with Paul Ploquin, will be no pushover. Denied a passage when full of running here last month, JEU DE MOTS (4) is well-positioned behind the car and will not be far off the mark if Léo Balu keeps him out of trouble. Barefoot for the first time, KOZIELLO DE LOU (1) tends to go well for Yoann Lebourgeois and his recent Enghien performance stands him in good stead.

4. JOKER DU MATCH – Has not stepped a foot wrong this season, latterly 4th of 10 in a competitive Class D over track and trip 2 weeks ago, and will be competitive for a place payday
5. INVICTUS DE NILREM – Last of 9 in a 2700m Luxé Class F last weekend and already looks out of his depth
6. JOSELITO DU VIVIER – Made short work of a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago and, with application, should have the hat-trick in the bag
7. IRMINIO KILY – Trotted 2nd over 2725m here early-July before coming an unlucky 7th in a Class D over course and distance a fortnight later, but can put things right if Franck Nivard stays out of trouble
8. JEAN NO DU MARGAS – Never far from faulting but pleasant 4th of 11 in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine on 21 July. Not a priority but, with application, can play a small part
9. JACADI D’ARGILIN – Well-entered here but will need to improve on his mid-July 5th of 8 in a 2900m Clairefontaine Class E
Summary: A very tough nut to crack when unshod and focused, JOSELITO DU VIVIER (6) scored a 2nd straight when imposing with authority here 3 weeks ago and in similar form, will take all the beating. JACKSON D’ECAJEUL (2) won twice recently, including at Cabourg, before enduring a difficult trip later last month, but sports front pads this time and will be expected to make amends. JOURNAC DIESCHOOT (1) is better than his recent result would suggest and the revised shoeing formula may be just what the doctor ordered. JOKER DU MATCH (4) simply cannot be faulted at present and has a realistic chance of trotting his way onto the podium.

5. ITRO – Made up for a brace of modest efforts when a tenacious 3rd of 9 in a 2500m Class F at La Rochelle 11 days ago. Has a lot going for him here and is in with a fine chance of imposing
6. IBANQUE LEBEL – Tricky character that won a 2900m Amiens Class E in good order last week. The draw will pose no problem in this small field and, if focused, will be no easy touch
7. HOPE YOU CAN – Ran 2nd to HELIUM VELCO (1) at Argentan before coming 6th of 10 behind HORS SAISON (4) when preparing for this in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E 2 weeks ago. Shoes off this time and despite the draw, will have his chances
8. ILCAPITANO DU PARC – As solid as a rock since the spring, most recently 2nd of 7 in a 2825m Durtal Class E mid-July. Steps up in category though and not an obvious choice this time
9. HUNMEC SOMOLLI – Last but one in a 2625m Class F at Saint-Jean-de-Monts last weekend. Front pads fitted this time but can still expect to remain friendless
10. HATALANTE DE FLO – Steps back into the professional ranks after faulting in a 2750m amateurs Class F here 10 days ago, and is biting off more than she can chew
Summary: A number of horses in contention for this speed test but, given how he preformed at La Rochelle recently, ITRO (5) gets the nod. Cédric Terry will still be wary of recent Argentan winner HELIUM VELCO (1), who has the inside line, and the less well-placed, but barefoot, HOPE YOU CAN (7) who finished a close runner-up to him that day. Twice a winner in June, HORS SAISON (4) held her own last time out and the good draw will only enhance her prospects.

9. GENET DE BOITRON – 5th of 8, behind GUIGNOL DE CHARDET (12), in a 2400m Amiens Class D last week. Incurs the penalty this time though and chances limited
10. ELEVEN SHAPTER – Out of the picture in first 4 this term before coming a surprising 3rd of 12 in a 2800m Bernay Class E late last month. Boasts excellent Cabourg credentials and should not be written off
11. HELIOS SOMOLLI – In-form type that can be forgiven his recent 6th of 12, behind ELEVEN SHAPTER (10), in a 2800m Bernay Class E late-July. Has previously won here and returns to a hard surface with legitimate ambition
12. GUIGNOL DE CHARDET – Courageous 3rd in a 2400m Amiens Class D last week. Has a decent Cabourg record and will be no pushover if he stays in stride
13. GERSHWIN DE CHENU – Fine 4th, behind GAMIN DE MAHEY (14), in a 2150m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago. Races shod this time however and best to hold off
14. GAMIN DE MAHEY – Missed out by the smallest of margins, after having been denied a run, in a 2150m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago and can put things right if Teddy Calo keeps him out of trouble. Chance
15. FROZEN QUEEN – Has merit but off the boil since late 2023. 11th of 13 in a 2850m Bréhal Class E 2.5 weeks ago and will need to get her house in order

Summary: Ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and clearly at the top of his game, HARDI CROWN (16) left quite the impression at La Rochelle recently and, proven here last month, should be able to win this. That said, GAMIN DE MAHEY (14) has turned a corner recently and looks the principal danger. Twice a winner here, GUIGNOL DE CHARDET (12) gave a reassuringly-good account at Amiens and will not be sent out at 54/1 this time around. HELIOS SOMOLLI (11) has been in flying form on turf and, well-acquainted with Cabourg, should have a good hand to play.

Summary: As good in one code as the other, JUSTY DU OLPASI (6) most recently imposed under harness and, with form maintained, can double up. JULES DES CHAMPS (7) has never disappointed in this branch of the business and returns to racing barefoot with justified aspiration. Sent for a break after pulling off a hat-trick last December, JABIN DES TOURS (8) has started to get back to doing what he does best and is not to be underestimated. Oddly out of sorts last time, JOMINI D’AMBRI (5) has otherwise been in fine form and can play a prominent role.

Summary: Very hard to fault when focused, KIRIO (4) makes his Cabourg debut on a hat-trick and, from the 4-spot, can pull it off. Leading the opposition is the erratic KENAVO TUILERIE (7) who is shod as he was when imposing here in early-June, and the perfectly-positioned KING BOLD (3) whose recent performance was neither indicative of his form nor his ability. Shod again after winning at Bréhal recently, KOPEK BOURBON (5) has a claim on a place in the frame.

Summary: A progressive type that was not the luckiest at Vichy early last month, LE CLASSIC (1) races with hind pads for the first time and can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. After two straight sanctions, LOVER STILL (11) lost his own maiden tag at Clairefontaine mid-July and, with application, is not incapable of repeating. LABRAX DU SKY (6) defied his odds at Enghien recently and will not be far from the action if Christophe Petrement gets him off on the right foot. L’ECLAIR DE PLAY (5) is well-placed on the front line and will be competitive for a place cheque if he takes to the new profile.

Summary: Very much an open affair this, but preference still goes to LIBERTIN MAZA (9) who has shown enough in the other code to be considered a serious player first time under the saddle. LOLO DE COUZAN (11) similarly debuts in the discipline, races shod this time, but will have his chances if stays in stride. Untried in either code, LAWRENCE DAIRPET (2) qualified nicely right-handed and must not be underestimated. Summary: Some promising types line up in this Class 3 race. NATURAL LIGHT (3) won well by over three lengths last time at the end of July and is given the marginal vote ahead of I LOVE CHACHA (2) who was a convincing winner on his sole start at Moulins in late May. He will improve and is a live danger to the selection. KATAYEF (4) showed improvement last time when third and looks like he can make the top three. ROYAL STAR (5) heads the remainder.

3. JUST A LITTLE LONE – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 2400m at Pornichet behind JEANNETTE (1) on November 16th last year. Consider
4. KENJI – Won last time over 2900m at Senonnes on August 3rd. Out again quickly but others make more appeal
5. KIKEA DU MOU – Fair 3rd last time at Les Sables when just behind JEANNETTE (1) who was 2nd that day on July 20th. One to pay attention too
Summary: A race in which all of the five have some sort of chance. JUDGELAND (2) is likely to start as the favourite and should be good enough to score. She faired well in a Group 3 AQ race last time and won before that in June. Her biggest threat could come from JEANNETTE (1) who was a decent second last time and had form last year on the PSF when she beat JUST A LITTLE LONE (3) into second place back in November.
