1. TANIS – Last-start winner of a 1400m Class 3 conditions race on turf Clairefontaine on 11 July. Has finished 2nd in 2 of 4 starts on this surface
2. GOOD FEELIN – Went off the boil late last year and made no impression on her reappearance in a 1300m turf handicap at this venue on 3 August, finishing a well-beaten 17th (on handicap debut). For another day
3. AGORIA – Unplaced in 3 consecutive Quinte+ handicaps on turf over further but has bounced back to form in 2 starts since, finishing 3rd in both – the latest a 1600m turf handicap at this venue on 6 August. Effective on PSF
4. EN PLEIN AIR – Inconsistent handicapper on turf but has achieved her best references, albeit without success, on the PSF. Unplaced (10th) in 1300m turf handicap at this venue on 3 August but should fare better back here
5. BOLZANO – Consistent PSF performer who finished 2nd in a 1400m claimer at Dieppe on 5 August. Was returning from a 4-month absence so would’ve come on since and will appreciate reverting to this surface
6. SUPER TIE BREAK – Showed early promise, finishing 2nd in 2 of his first 3 starts (both over 2000m at Marseille-Borély). Blotted his copybook when 7th in a 1600m conditions race at Vichy on 24 July – on handicap debut, prefers further
7. HONKY TONK WOMAN – Experienced filly with sound references/form credentials on both surfaces, including a last-start 3rd in a 1400m claimer on turf at Dieppe on 5 August. Place chance
8. WILD CITY – Consistent colt with sound form references/credentials on both surfaces, including a good 4th recently on handicap debut over 1400m on turf at Clairefontaine on 27 July. Attractive outsider back on the PSF
9. PRINCESSE BOBBY – In her last 3 PSF appearances, has finished 3rd and 2nd twice. Returned to form in a 1300m claimer on this course last time out, finishing 2nd on 10 August. More to do back in a handicap

14. AMOUAGE – Won 1400m turf handicap at Clairefontaine in June but has struggled since under 3,5kg penalty – unplaced in both subsequent starts, the latest a well-beaten 10th in 1600m handicap at that venue on 9 August
15. BY FAR – Didnt go unnoticed when a reassuring 4th in a 1400m handicap at Le Lion-d’Angers on 18 August. Needs to confirm that improvement in her first PSF appearance
Summary: AGORIA (3) has won and finished 2nd in 3 starts on PSF so could enoy reverting to this surface after encouraging back-to-back performances on turf. She gets the nod ahead of BOLZANO (5) who would’ve tightened since finishing 2nd in a 1400m claimer on turf at Dieppe earlier this month. He has track experience and references in handicaps so could fight for victory, despite his awkward position in stall No 14. DULINI (10), winner of that Dieppe claimer, isn’t understimared in her first PSF outing. Fellow last-start winner TANIS (1) has legitimate claims too.

1. LEOPARDUCCIO – Didnt go unnoticed when finishing an unlucky 7th in a 1400m Quinté on 30 July. Soundly beaten (14th) in a 1200m turf handicap at this venue on 15 August but should fare better back on the PSF

4. WOFF – Has regained his form and momentum recently – confirmed as much by winning a claimer on this course over 1500m on 13 August. Ought to remain competitive back in a handicap
5. MURCIANO – Bounced back to form reverting to PSF last time, finishing 2nd on this course in a 1500m Class 3 conditions race on 8 August. Consistent hard-knocker with legitimate winning claims
6. BIRIATOU – Winner of his only PSF handicap appearance (at Cagnes over 1600m in February). Hasn’t been seen since finishing 8th in a 1700m claimer on turf at Marseille-Borely on 27 February
7. ALEXANDRETTA – In 5 starts across on an all-weather surface across the Channel, she finished 2nd three times and 3rd twice. Soundly beaten (14th) in a 1200m claimer on turf at this venue on 1 August – best watched for now
8. SEIGNEUR – Largely inconsistent but is a proven PSF performer with sound references. Shouldnt be hastily condemned for his latest failure (13th) on this course over 1500m on 8 August
9. L’IENISSEI – Honest hard-knocker with sound references in handicaps on both surfaces. Didn’t go unnoticed when 5th in a 1600m turf handicap at Compiegne on 9 July
10. PAINT IT BLACK – Hard-knocking handicapper who caught the eye when finishing 4th in a course-and-distance handicap on 30 July. Keep safe

13. RISING BLAST – Consistent performer who seldom finishes far off the mark. Blotted his copybook when only 10th in a PSF handicap here over this course and distance on 30 July
14. SIRIUS SLEW – Won a 1400m ParisLongchamp handicap in May but has finished unplaced in all 3 subsequent outings, the latest (6th) on this course in a 1300m claimer on 10 August
15. PINK VALENTINE – Rejuvenated hard-knocking mare who showed her form and well-being by winning a 1300m handicap on this course on 20 August. Warrants respect despite 2,5kg penalty
16. KARINAS DREAM – Last-start winner of a 1600m conditions race on turf at Clairefontaine on 2 August. Not taken lightly for an in-form stable
Summary: LEOPARDUCCIO (1) finished a commendable 7th in a 1400m Quinté on this course late last month and was probably unlucky not to have finished closer that day. On that evidence, he could be worth siding with back on PSF after his recent failure (14th) in a turf handicap. MURCIANO (5), who returned to form with an encouraging 2nd in a competitive Class 3 conditions race on this course, and last-start winner WOFF (4), back in a handicap under a 1kg penalty, are best equipped to pose a threat to the selection. PAINT IT BLACK (10) completes the shortlist after finishing 4th in a similar contest recently.

2. CHIRICCO – Consistent and versatile colt with sound references on this PSF track. Runner-up in 1300m turf handicap at Vittel on 18 August
3. PICANES – Battling 13-start maiden who has finished on the podium just once. Yet to make her mark in the handicaps and was soundly beaten (9th) over 1600m on turf at Clairefontaine on 9 August
4. KHARAMAZOV – Acquitted himself well on his handicap debut, finishing a creditable 6th over 1300m on turf at this venue on 3 August. Should play a leading role back on PSF

14. HAPPY AGAIN – Soundly beaten in both PSF appearances but has regained momentum recently on turf, finishing 4th over 1600m in a handicap at Clairefontaine on 9 August
15. DO IT FOR ME – Unreliable on both turf and PSF and is currently out of sorts. Soundly beaten (10th) in a 1600m conditions race on turf at Clairefontaine on 9 August
Summary: KHARAMAZOV (4) acquitted himself well enough on his handicap debut to suggest that he could win a race like this, especially fitted in first-time headgear which could eke out improvement. RED IN SIGHT (1), another to have held his own at a good level this year, CHIRICCO (2, who finished an eye-catching 2nd last time, and in-form filly BAKHILOVA (10), whose competitiveness at this level is assured, are other candidates for success in this three-year-old handicap.

Summary: Top-rated WELCH FUSILIER (1) is ideally engaged under these conditions and is good value to make a bold winning bid in this class, despite conceding weight to all. SADALBARI (2) bounced back to form last time and will fight for victory with a repeat of that performance, which could also be said of JUST IN LOVE (6) after her reassuring last start. 9. LUPIN DE BEAUFOUR – 3rd of 7 in a 2700m Class B at Grenade-sur-Garonne 10 days ago, on first start for 6 months, and has every chance of repeating
10. L’ECRIN D’OR – Unraced since getting off the mark in a 2750m Toulouse Class D in early-June. Comes here fresh and is expected to figure prominently at the business end of the race
11. LADY MYSTIC – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 6 in a 2325m Toulouse Class B in early-April. Shoes on and no chance
Summary: It may have taken LUNA DOMA (2) some time to come to hand of late but she reassured, despite some poor luck, at Cabourg recently and with front pads fitted, can put things right. That being said, LALA QUICK (6) has been progressing nicely and has the wherewithal to open her summer account. L’ECRIN D’OR (10) may not have been seen out since early-June but he has talent in spades and can get straight down to business. The able LUPIN DE BEAUFOUR (9) made a fine return to competition recently and will have come on for the race.

C2 – PRIX DU CONSEIL DEPARTEMENTAL DE TARN ET GARONNE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000 |
1. JOYAU DE LA COTE – Made up for a brace of sanctions when 2nd of 10 in a 2450m Villeréal Class E last weekend and can win this if Simon Laloum keeps him trotting
2. JOY DA VINCI – 8th of 10 finishers in a 2800m Auch monté Class F 3 weeks ago. Is better than recent results would imply and returns to racing barefoot with a realistic chance of making first 5
3. JET SAN LEANDRO – Last of 6 in a 3025m Eauze Class E earlier in the month. Has previously imposed over course and distance, and is reconfigured for the occasion, but current form does little to inspire confidence
4. JULIANI DE LALOSSE – Consistently gives his best, most recently 3rd to JOYAU DE LA COTE (1) in Villeréal race of reference, and will need to be sharper this time around
5. JUST BLESS – Twice failed to confirm his Biarritz victory, latterly 6th of 7 in a 2600m Fleurance Class E earlier in the month. Sports a new configuration here though and, from the 5-spot, can make his presence felt
6. JIRENS DUEM – 4th of 8 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class F last Monday. Thrives at Beaumont and the front-line start will do his chances no harm
7. JACK DU TRUFIER – 5th of 8, behind JIRENS DUEM (6), in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class F early last week. Hind shoes off but still appears to have too much to do
8. JIMMU DU PATURAL – 3rd, a place behind JOYAU DE LA COTE (1), in a 2450m Villeréal Class E last weekend. Drawn wide but still looks good enough to pressure JOYAU DE LA COTE (1)
9. JAPAN GIRL – Pleased under harness at Toulouse before coming 4th of 8 in a 2200m Lannemezan monté Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Not a contender, but races barefoot for the occasion and, in present form, is worth retaining
10. JUNON DE BEYLEV – In good shape but sanctioned in a 2600m Fleurance Class E a fortnight ago. Won here earlier in the year and on better behaviour can again go close
11. JACK MAGISTER – Sanctioned in a 3025m Eauze Class E 3 weeks ago. Has completely lost his way and can be written off
12. JERIKA LOVE – Sanctioned in 5 of last 6, most recently a 2300m Trie-sur-Baïse Class F on 6 August, and will have few takers
13. JOUR DE JUIN – Has not been seen out since faulting in a 2625m Class F at La Rochelle early-May. Shoes on and no threat
14. JAMES DU PADOUENG – 5th of 9 in a 2600m Fleurance monté Class F 2 weeks ago. Would be preferred at a lower level and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Very hard to fault when unshod and focused, JOYAU DE LA COTE (1) showed his form at Villeréal recently and, with application, can win this. A place behind him that day, JIMMU DU PATURAL (8) is clearly close to his race and , freshly-configured, is unlikely to disappoint. JUNON DE BEYLEV (10) breaks from the 2nd row but is confirmed here and with stride in check will not be far off the mark. JIRENS DUEM (6) has never let the side down here and must be afforded respect.

1. KRISS D’AVIGNERE – Surprise 2nd of 8 in a 2450m Villeréal Class E last weekend. Takes on a better bunch this time and chances rather limited
2. KINJAL DE BELLANDE – Disappointing in 3 since the break, latterly last but one in a 2875m Enghien Class E late-July, and can be ruled out
3. KATANGA DE BLARY – 2nd over course and distance mid-July before coming 6th to KAHINA DE FAEL (7) in Castéra-Verduzan race of reference. Is better than that though and has a realistic chance of finishing in the mix
4. KISS ME JIHEM – 5th to KAHINA DE FAEL (7) in a 2800m Class E at Castéra-Verduzan 2 weeks ago. Is an honest filly that always gives her best, but that may not be enough this time
5. KATKO MESLOIS – Back under harness after finishing last of 8 in a 2300m Trie-sur-Baïse monté Class E earlier this month. Barefoot this time but others still preferred
6. KARA DU PLESSIS – Took some time to come to hand this term but reassuring 3rd of 13 to KAHINA DE FAEL (7) in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class E a fortnight ago and, in similar form, will have her chances
7. KAHINA DE FAEL – Made it 2 from 3 when winning a 2800m Class E at Castéra-Verduzan, with ease, on 12 August and looks eminently capable of repeating
8. KYRIELLE D’ALBRET – Out of the picture all season, most recently 8th of 11 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class D early last week, and has no realistic chance
9. KING DRY – Won 2 on the trot last month before faulting in a 2600m Fleurance Class D a fortnight ago. Should not be harshly-judged and will be expected to bounce back and play a prominent role
10. KEEP COOL – Has hardly put a foot wrong this year, latterly 2nd of 11 in a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class D 2 months ago. Comes here fresh and Maxime Grasset will be loathe to pass up such a good opportunity
11. KATONA – Returns to racing with front pads fitted after faulting in a 2700m Class B at Grenade-sur-Garonne 10 days ago. Has placed just once in 3 here and no more than a minor place chance
12. KAROUZO – 3rd of 11 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class D early last week. Has looked ordinary here this year and, with shoes on, will have little to offer
13. KHARNAS – Has done nothing but improve since returning to competition, most recently 3rd of 7 in a 2775m Class C at Les Sables-d’Olonne 3 weeks ago, and even from the back line can play an active role
Summary: A winner here mid-July and successful again at Castéra-Verduzan a fortnight ago, KAHINA DE FAEL (7) has every chance of keeping her perfect Beaumont record intact. 25m worse off but a tough nut to crack when barefoot, KHARNAS (13) looks a decent prospect, as does the ideally-engaged and performant KEEP COOL (10) who is competitively-shod for his first start since the spell. KARA DU PLESSIS (6) lived up to expectations last time out and the Alexandre Abrivard-influence must be factored in.

C4 – PRIX DE L’ASSOCIATION PASSERELLE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000 |
1. IMAGE DE CORDAY – Fast-finishing 3rd of 9 in a 2650m Hyères Class G a month ago. Has never disappointed here and the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard is a telling sign. Claim
2. IPIPIP DES SABLES – Climbs back up in class after securing a 3350m Villeréal amateurs Class G last weekend. Well-placed behind the car and will not be going home empty-handed
3. INDIGO PLANCHETTE – Won at Eauze late-July before coming 5th behind INCA DE MONE (4) in a 2200m Lannemezan Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Is confirmed here and although not a priority, he has a good spot behind the car and can play a small part
4. INCA DE MONE – 2nd of 9 in a 2200m Lannemezan Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Occupies an excellent spot on the front row and will be expected to figure prominently
5. IDEAL DU GROIZEAU – Switches back to the harness code after coming last of 9 in a 2850m Mauquenchy monté Class F 3 weeks ago. Here for a change of scenery and can be ruled out
6. IZARD BOCAIN – Back under harness after finishing 7th of 9 in a 3025m Eauze monté Class G last last month, but still looks out of his depth
7. IMPACT BLACK – Has been at the top of his game since the spring, most recently winning a 2700m Miramont-de-Guyenne Class H 10 days ago, and is unlikely to be far off the mark
8. IRIS DU LIVIER – 2nd of 8 in a 3125m Chinon Class F 8 days ago. Is forced to start wide but has been knocking at the door and deserves to win one of these days
9. IDOLE D’ERPION – Pleasant 3rd of 6 in a 2600m Fleurance Class H last weekend but has a lot more to find this time
10. IKAKOU – 3rd at Hyères before winning a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class G a fortnight ago. Not ideally-drawn but, with application, can pick up some crumbs
11. IXO DES PLANS – Sanctioned in Lannemezan race of reference. Has been out of sorts for some time and even with hind shoes off, still has no possible chance
12. INDY RED – Not without merit but sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 2725m Vittel Class F on 28 July, and others easier to trust
13. ISEA D’HOULBEC – Produced a brace of good efforts before finishing 6th of 9 in a 2700m Gramat Class H 3 weeks ago and the draw does her no favours
14. IZQUIERDO – Sanctioned in a 2000m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a week ago. Regularly in the thick of things when applied and, sporting a new configuration, can defy the draw and get in on the action
15. INVICTUS NAR – 6th behind IMPACT BLACK (7) in a 2700m Gramat Class H on 4 August. Reverts to a previous formula but has been handed a tough draw and first needs to get his house in order
Summary: After traversing a lean period, IMAGE DE CORDAY (1) gave a reassuringly good account at Hyères last month and given her liking for the venue, can return to winning ways. Runner-up in 4 of her last 5 starts, IRIS DU LIVIER (8) is forced to start wide but can make a bigger splash this time if she takes to the new profile. INCA DE MONE (4) has gone from strength to strength over recent weeks and, while not the biggest fan of the Beaumont track, he is very hard to ignore from the 4-spot. IMPACT BLACK (7) has won 3 of his last 5 and, while arguably better on turf, still merits significant respect.

C5 – PRIX GILBERT ET JEAN-PIERRE GAILING – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 |
1. JADE VENESI – Capable on a good day but lacklustre lately, most recently sanctioned, when unsupported, in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class D mid-month, and can be passed over
2. JACINTHE DU BOIRON – Surprisingly sanctioned in a 2750m Cabourg Class D earlier in the month. Talent and form are not in question and she can bring home the bacon if Frédéric Clozier assures her initial strides
3. JICOMTE – Produced a trio of good runs before finishing last of 10 in a 2450m Villeréal Class F last weekend and in this company will have little to contribute
4. JOYCE MIKA – Made it 2 wins from 3 when successful in a 2600m Fleurance Class E a fortnight back but, in this category, will struggle to make her presence felt
5. JURAE VET – Last but one in a 2950m Vichy Class C 3 weeks ago. Is considerably better than that though and from the 5-spot can give this a good go
6. JOKO DE LIGNY – Pulled off the hat-trick when victorious in a 2450m Villeréal Class D a fortnight ago. Thrives with Lana Henry and once again looks the horse to beat
7. JEANBLANC DUEM – In the frame in last 4, most recently 3rd of 7 in a 2925m Cagnes Class D mid-month, and will again be competitive for a spot in first 3
8. JONAS – Disappointed at Langon before faulting in a 2800m Auch Class D 3 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
9. JEREMICE MERITE – Respectable 4th of 7 finishers in a 1609m Argentan Class E on 10 August and if still on the boil, can get in on the action
10. JET DES MALBERAUX – 3rd in last 2, most recently a 2875m Class D at Meslay-du-Maine 10 days ago. Not ideally-drawn but is a tough individual and must be taken seriously
11. JOUVENCE D’AVRIL – Faulted in a 2750m Cabourg Class E mid-month. Is not without ability but first needs to re-establish her credentials
12. JAZZ PAT – Pleasantly surprising 2nd of 8 in a 2800m Auch Class D 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot for the first time but the draw will do him no favours
13. JAPPELOU DU SOIR – 4th of 11 in a 2700m Class B at Grenade-sur-Garonne 10 days ago. Not ideally-drawn here though and looks no more than a minor place prospect
Summary: Winner over 2550m here mid-July before going on to win 2 more, JOKO DE LIGNY (6) will be expected to continue his forward charge. Lana Henry would be wise to be wary of the better-positioned JACINTHE DU BOIRON (2) who is dynamic when barefoot, and JEANBLANC DUEM (7) who has been knocking at the door over recent weeks. JET DES MALBERAUX (10) confirmed his right-handed credentials at Meslay recently and in present shape is very easy to like.

C6 – PRIX #RACEANDCARE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 |
1. HIMALAYA NARCY – Sanctioned here before trotting 6th of 10 in a 2475m Royan Class D 2 weeks ago. Shoes on this time and appears to be facing a very stiff test
2. GALEA MIP – Returns to racing barefoot after coming last of 15 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class E last Monday. Has merit but in this company looks no more than a minor place prospect
3. JIM PERRINE – Showed he was back at his best when 3rd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Breaks from the 3-spot and will take all the beating
4. IPPON DE MONTCEAU – Unraced since coming 2nd of 11 in a 2800m Bollène Class F 2 months ago. Not once out of the frame in last 10 starts and will be expected to play a leading role at the reckoning
5. IDEAL SAN LEANDRO – Made it 2 straight victories when successful in a 2450m Villeréal Class F last weekend. Has raced here twice, has won here twice. Chance
6. ICARE DU BERYL – 7th of 10, on return from a spell, in a 3025m Eauze Class F 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot this time and, considering his liking for the venue, is not going to be far off the mark
7. JOIE DE LA COTE – Put a pair of clinkers behind her when 2nd of 11 in a 2700m Grenade-sur-Garonne Class B mid-August. Not once out of first 4 here and, from the front row, can figure prominently
8. GRANITA BELLA – Encouraged at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 21 July but disappointing 6th of 10 at Royan a week later and is unlikely to shake things up
9. GEWURZTRAMINER – Last of 13 behind ITALO DUEM (10) in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class F a fortnight ago. Is preferred barefoot and best to hold off
10. ITALO DUEM – 3rd here late-June before coming 2nd of 13 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan Class F a fortnight ago but the step up in category may be a step too far
11. IRRATI DUEM – Sent for a spell after dominating a 2575m Agen-Le Passage Class E mid-June. Handed a 2nd line draw, and races shod for the occasion, but still looks competitive for a first-5 payout
Summary: Some good horses lining up here but it will take something a bit special to beat the ideally-positioned JIM PERRINE (3) who will dominate this if he reproduces his recent Enghien performance. Louis Goetz will nevertheless be keeping a keen eye on the hat-trick-seeking IDEAL SAN LEANDRO (5) who has yet to be bested here, and the remarkably-consistent IPPON DE MONTCEAU (4) who debuts at the venue with a lot to contribute. JOIE DE LA COTE (7) reassured 10 days ago and has never let the side down at Beaumont-de-Lomagne.

1. INCUDINE – Last of 11 in a 2700m Class H at Miramont-de-Guyenne mid-month. Has already won 3 times this season though and will appreciate returning to racing barefoot. Outsider of interest
2. FEELING MESLOIS – 3rd of 8 in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot amateurs Class H last weekend. Barefoot this time, is confirmed here, and should not be entirely overlooked
3. GOSSIP – Last of 12 when prepping for this in a 2600m Gémozac harness Class H mid-month. Is plainly in excellent shape and is thoroughly capable of playing a leading role
4. IDEAL DU NOYER – Has been in cracking form for some time, most recently 2nd of 6 in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class F 16 days ago and will justifiably garner the lion’s share of support
5. FAMILOTE – Sanctioned in a 2575m Gabarret Class F late last month. Yet to show any particular bent for the code and can be ignored
6. HONORINE DES PRES – 11th of 12 in a 2850m Hyères harness Class G on 2 August. Is confirmed under the saddle but is being aimed too high this time
7. ICARE WILLIAMS – Put a pair of sanctions behind him when 3rd of 13 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan harness Class F a fortnight ago. Seldom disappoints when focused and the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard will only work to his advantage
8. FIRST DU MILAN – 3rd, a place behind IDEAL DU NOYER (4), in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class F on 9 August. Boasts a superb monté record and looks a leading player on Beaumont debut
9. HIBISCUS DE MAISY – Takes a shot at the monté code after being sanctioned in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot harness Class D a week ago. Not a priority but returns to racing unshod-behind and can get a look in
10. FIRST DE CHOISEL – Debuts in the discipline after finishing 6th of 15 in a 2800m Castéra-Verduzan harness Class E early last week. Is not short of ability and, even from the 2nd row, could well pick up a cheque
11. EKINOA DU PATURAL – Flattering 4th of 5 finishers in a 2800m Langon Class E late last month. Front shoes off this time but others easier to back
12. GLADYS TARTIFUME – Unremarkable 6th of 8 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class D on 19 June. Unraced since and the handicap will do her no favours
13. HERMES ANGEL – 3rd of 13 in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class D last weekend. Well-engaged at the limit of earnings and even though on the back line, still looks main danger to IDEAL DU NOYER (4)
Summary: Battle-hardened and seldom disappointing when applied, IDEAL DU NOYER (4) excels racing clockwise and can win this if he keeps his mind on the job. As good in one code as the other, HERMES ANGEL (13) is on-form, appreciates these conditions, and is not incapable of defying the handicap. Simply excellent under the saddle, FIRST DU MILAN (8) may be new to the venue but is fitted with pads again and will be no easy touch. GOSSIP (3) can be excused his recent performance and returns to a discipline he likes with a good hand to play.

C8 – GRAND PRIX DYNAVENA – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 44,000 |
1. GALANT DE CAREL – Has hardly blotted his copybook since early-spring, most recently 5th of 13 in a 2625m Class D at Villeneuve-sur-Lot last weekend. Front pads fitted this time, appreciates the venue, but others still preferred
2. FUTUR DU CHENE – Sprang a 102/1 surprise when 3rd of 12 in a 2150m Castéra-Verduzan Class B early last week, but a repeat seems improbable
3. GIPSON CREEK – Got back in the game a fortnight ago when 4th of 10 in a 2475m Royan Class D, but with shoes back on, will have little to offer
4. DIEGO DECOULGENS – Back under harness after being sanctioned early in a 2250m Enghien monté Class C 2 weeks ago. Unexceptional under harness and not a priority
5. EDITEUR LA RAVELLE – Disappointing since returning to competition, latterly 9th of 10 behind GOLIATH DU CAUX (8) in a 2150m Enghien claimer 2 weeks ago, and will have few friends
6. EPISTOLAIRE – Last of 8, behind FAKIR MERITE (15), in a 2700m Grenade-sur-Garonne Gr.3 10 days ago and, even with 4 pads fitted, will have nothing to contribute
7. ENTRE AMIS – Has turned a corner recently with 2 wins from last 3, most recent a 3325m Villeréal Class B 3 weeks ago. Beat a number of these that day and can do so again
8. GOLIATH DU CAUX – 3rd of 10 in a 2150m Enghien claimer 2 weeks ago. Has otherwise been a write-off in 2024 and chances almost non-existent
9. FEMTO DE VAUVERT – No star but showed improvement when 5th of 10 in a 2700m Aix-les-Bains Class C 3 weeks ago and, freshly-configured, is worth keeping an eye on
10. EVEIL DU LUPIN – Sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien claimer 2 weeks ago. Has been off the boil all year and can be confidently passed over
11. HORATIUS D’ELA – 4th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class C late-July. Could not have asked for a better engagement and can make this his own
12. FRENCH MAN – Put 2 sanctions behind him when 2nd to ENTRE AMIS (7) in a 3325m Villeréal Class B 3 weeks ago. On the back line again and looks a respectable first-5 chance
13. GENDREEN – Unlucky 8th of 10 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago but can make a big splash if Alexandre Abrivard gets him off on the right foot
14. BILO JEPSON – 6th of 9 in a 1609m Argentan Gr.2, on return from his break, 2 weeks ago. In less-exalted company this time and, if fully fit, will be no pushover
15. FAKIR MERITE – Just one blip on his formcard over past 3 months, most recently 5th of 8 finishers in a 2700m Grenade-sur-Garonne Gr.3 10 days ago. Incurs the penalty but at this level, looks competitively well-in
Summary: Seldom seen racing right-handed, but confirmed nonetheless, HORATIUS D’ELA (11) debuts at the venue with an excellent entry on the front line, and should have the edge over GENDREEN (13) who has an extra 25m to travel. BILO JEPSON (14) drops in category after a respectable comeback run and should be competitive for a place on the podium. In fine form since the spring, FAKIR MERITE (15) has already won twice here and returns, barefoot, to the track with a good hand to play.

SOUVENIR D’ECAJEUL (1) was not disgraced last time out and has won three times in Spain so deserves some respect.
