Summary: GRECIAN JEWEL (4) has shown improvement with each run so far. She ran well in a Class 2 race last time when she was fourth and won before that at Salon Provence in late June. She can get another win on her handicap debut. APOLINO (1) will be dangerous and has been in two stronger races of late when out of the frame. He won at Angers in late May and he can feature. MRS HOLIDAY (6) and LAS VEGAS DREAM (8) can fight it out for minor honours.

12. JELIEL – Three unplaced runs since a 2nd over in a Class 4 race at Nancy on April 4th over 1400m. Needs to bounce back to form
Summary: In an open race, it may pay to side with MARQUISE VERA (5) who can bounce back after a tame effort on her latest start. She was second at this track in late June and can get the better of STORMYGO (2) who is consistent and has not been out of the first two on his last four runs. PIU DREAM (6) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. POLIVATE (11) has placed form at this track three runs ago when second and she can not be ruled out.

5. PEDROZIO – Won on his latest run at this track over 2000m on August 6th in a Class 4 handicap. Key chance
6. SPRING EVE – Won on her last start over 2500m in a Class 4 handicap at Parislongchamp on September 5th. One to pay attention too
7. GRISGRISES – Has shown no form for some time, the latest unplaced effort was over 2000m at Mont-De-Marsan on August 25th. Can be overlooked
8. LEVANT – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 2650m in a Class 4 race at Carcassonne on May 12th. Needs a few to falter
9. TERRITORIO – Credible 3rd over 2000m at Mont-De-Marsan in a Class 4 handicap on August 25th when last appearing. Others rate higher
Summary: PEDROZIO (5) won over 2000m at this track in early August and is expected to stay the extra 500m today. He can get the better of SPRING EVE (6) who is sure to stay having won over this trip at Parislongchamp 7 days ago. She will not lack for match fitness. NORTHERN ANGEL (2) showed his best form when third last time at Gramat and is among the leading each-way options. NORTHERN ANGEL (2) has solid recent form and should have a say in proceedings.

8. THE MAGIC MAN – He ran 4th last time at Dax over 2300m in a Class 4 handicap on August 20th, he won at Dax in late June over 2300m. Merits consideration
9. HARIASA – Won over 2300m at Royan in a Class 4 race on August 18th when last appearing. Has risen in the weights and this will be more difficult
10. LUXU – 2nd last time over 2300m at Pompadour in a Class 4 race on August 25th and a win before that at Gramat over 2600m at the start of August. Has place claims
Summary: CAVANI KAIZEN (6) has won his last two runs, the latest in late August at Celorico Bastos (PRT). The hat-trick of wins is likely. ROMANELLO (3) is a live threat and was a good second on his last two starts. SIXUNION (2) is a winner on his latest outing at Vichy in mid-August and can not be dismissed in this. BOB LA BIDOUILLE (4) is also worth considering, he won two starts ago at Senonnes in early August and makes his track debut.

C1 – PRIX LE CAFE DE LA GARE SAINT ANDRE DE L’EURE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 |
1. ISLA MUJERES – Quality mare returning to racing barefoot after coming 6th, behind INDIANA D’ESPACE (13), in a 2625m Class F at Saint-Omer 2.5 weeks ago. Has a lot going for her here and Franck Nivard will be eager to capitalise
2. HOLLENBOURG – Quality dual-discipline sort with 2 races under his belt since the break, most recently last but one in a 2725m Graignes Class E. Handed a decent draw but may just be one run shy
3. HOSCOTTE DE MAUPAS – 3rd of 12 in a 2525m amateurs conditioning Class F late last month. Well-positioned behind the car here and can make a big splash
4. FILS D’HAUFOR – Last of 12 in a 2725m Graignes Class E 10 days ago and in current condition, has no realistic chance
5. HIROSS – Steps back up in category after coming 5th, behind HOSCOTTE DE MAUPAS (3), in a 2525m amateurs Class F at Les Andelys on 31 August. Is confirmed here though and, from the 5-spot, should not be ruled out
6. GOSSIP BOY – Returns to the professional ranks after coming 4th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien amateurs Class F early last month. Trounced on lone appearance here and can be passed over
7. INVICTUS DE HOERDT – Defied his odds to come 4th of 13 in a 2500m Reims Class E late-August and will need to be taken more seriously this time around. Chance
8. HIATUS – Steps up in category after dominating a 2100m Vincennes claimer last week. Breaks from the wide outside but, in current form, is hard to ignore
9. IN VIVO – Encouraged at La Capelle but failed to convert when 8th of 10 in a 3000m Class F at Neuillé-Pont-Pierre on 4 August, and can expect to have few friends
10. GOWEN CHALEONNAIS – Honest type that finished 4th of 9 in a 2900m Amiens amateurs Class G last Saturday but faces a much stiffer test this time around
11. INFIEL – Failed to confirm his mid-August Vincennes success when faulting in a 2625m Saint-Omer Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Form is not in doubt though, has front pads fitted, and will not be far off the mark if Pierre-Yves Verva defies the draw
12. IMIKO JIEL – Has ability but 11th of 13 in a 2500m Reims Class E on 31 August. Entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois for first time though and will generate some interest
13. INDIANA D’ESPACE – Won at Saint-Omer before coming 3rd of 11, ahead of ISLA MUJERES (1), in a 2625m Class F at the same venue 2.5 weeks ago. Could have wished for a better draw but still looks a player
14. HEXCELLENTE – 6th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D early-July and, in present form, can be confidently disregarded
Summary: It has been just over a year since ISLA MUJERES (1) got her nose in front but she is clearly in shape, races barefoot for the occasion, and the engagement of Franck Nivard will only facilitate her cause. INVICTUS DE HOERDT (7) is forced to start wide on the front line but has been going good-guns for some time, and is not incapable of making his Mauquenchy debut a winning one. HOSCOTTE DE MAUPAS (3) has been handed an ideal draw, is proven here, and races unshod-all-4. Currently enjoying a fruitful run of form, INDIANA D’ESPACE (13) sports a new configuration and will be dangerous if Alexis Garandeau successfully navigates the start.

C2 – PRIX LE VICTOR HUGO ROUEN – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 |
1. KRANCK VET – Went close at Sainte-Marie-du-Mont before faulting in a 2400m Ploubalay Class F on Sunday. Lacks experience, not talent, and if applied, can get in on the action
2. KRONOS DE TROIS – Sanctioned in a 2100m Vincennes claimer on 24 August. Won on only start at the venue, but even going barefoot, will not find the going easy
3. KUZCO – 6th of 9, on return from a short spell, in a 2550m Dieppe Class F 10 days ago. Races first-time barefoot but still has a lot to find
4. KITA DU RIB – Opened her account [at 17th time of asking] in a 2650m Class F at Divonne-les-Bains 3 weeks ago. Has previously raced and placed here but, on this occasion, looks out of her league
5. KLARA DESBOIS – Reassured somewhat when 4th of 8 in a 2400m Class F at Nort-sur-Erdre earlier this month. Has bags of untapped potential and will be no soft touch if Adrien Lamy can keep her trotting
6. KHEOPS DU PERRON – Won twice at Biarritz before running 6th of 10 in a 2475m Villeréal claimer a month back. Faces a stiffer test this time however and chances limited
7. KOLMI DES EPINES – Back under harness after coming 6th of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 20 July. Barefoot this time but chances still limited
8. KAPTAIN DE L’OCEAN – Sanctioned in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne mid-August. Sports a new formula and, entrusted to François Lagadeuc for the occasion, is unlikely to be far off the mark
9. KOUIDITCH D’ABOMEY – Reverts to racing unshod-behind after coming 2nd of 9 in a 2500m Vibraye Class F 2.5 weeks ago. In better company this time but can still spice things up
10. KLASSIC WINNER – Oddly lacklustre 9th of 12 in a 2850m Laval Class E late last month. Form is not in doubt though, should appreciate Mauquenchy conditions, and from the front row, will have his chances
11. KATSUKI – Modest individual that finished 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 9 days ago, and can be confidently written off
12. KILOU – Has done nothing but progress recently, latterly rewarded with victory in a 2800m Bernay Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on better this time, but looks up to the task and, winner on his only start here, must be afforded respect
13. KALINKA SOMOLLI – Makes first appearance since finishing 8th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D late-April and will need the outing
14. KRONOS D’ERPION – Sanctioned early in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last week. Pleased on his sole start in this configuration and the drop in category will only work in his favour. First 5
15. KASSYA – Returns to racing left-handed after missing out by little in a 2800m Vire Class E 8 days ago. Could not have asked for a better opportunity and Yoann Lebourgeois will be out to make hay. Claim
16. KAVALE DU CHOQUEL – Unthreatening 5th of 7 finishers in a 2925m Cagnes Class A on 24 August. Drops back down the class-ladder but still not an obvious choice
Summary: Beaten only by a very good horse at Vire when barefoot for the first time, KASSYA (15) enjoys an excellent entry here and most certainly has the wherewithal to impose. Yoann Lebourgeois will still be keeping a watchful eye on the better-placed KLARA DESBOIS (5) who races first-time barefoot after having reassured earlier this month, and the erratic but capable KAPTAIN DE L’OCEAN (8) who debuts for his new handler in a fresh configuration. KLASSIC WINNER (10) is superbly-entered on the front line and should logically bounce back from his recent Laval disappointment.

C3 – PRIX LE CODE BAR – PINTERVILLE – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000 |
1. JEANNE D’ALEX – 8th of 11, on first start back, in a 2700m Graignes Class F 3 weeks ago. Reverts to racing with pads all around but her Mauquenchy references speak for themselves
2. JAMAIQUE NAY – Runner-up in 2 before finishing 6th of 8 in a 2400m Beaupréau Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Would be preferred a level down though
3. JAM DE FOURCADE – Has not been seen out since finishing 6th of 8 in a 2925m Cagnes Class D last January. Is unbeaten here though, sports 4 pads for re-entry, and it would be foolhardy to ignore his presence
4. JERRY DE BELLANDE – Decent 5th of 10 in a Class F over course and distance on 5 August. Has little chance of winning this but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably from the front row
5. JAG D’URZY – Reassuring 4th of 12 in a 2750m Class F at La Ferté-Vidame 3.5 weeks ago, but has no particular love for Mauquenchy and chances appear limited
6. JULIUS ECUS – 3rd here late-July and has twice repeated since, latterly in a 2800m Vire Class E last week. Enjoys a front-row start and will be expected to play an active role
7. JOSTA – Has been knocking at the door this summer, most recently 4th of 7 finishers in a 2800m Vire Class E last week. Races shod this time but will not be going home empty-handed if she takes to the new conditions
8. JOKER DU LEVANT – Runner-up in 2 before faulting in a 2875m Bréhal Class F 3 weeks ago. Is being aimed too high this time and can be ruled out
9. JAFFNA SHAN – Capable mare that faulted in a 2400m Ploublay Class H last Sunday. Form is not in question though and, with application, can get in on the action
10. JIVANOF DE GUEZ – Secured his first victory for 12 months when successful in a 2600m Class F at Blain-Bouvron-Le Gâvre on 31 August. Takes on a tougher bunch this time but is still worth retaining as a minor place prospect
11. JAMBIER – Made up for his Agon sanction when 2nd of 14 in a 2800m Bernay Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is new to the venue and incurs the handicap, but still looks competitive for a place in the frame
12. JINGALO DU CHENE – 9th of 12 when prepping for this in a 2750m Cabourg Class F late last month. Is still being conditioned and can be ignored
13. JASMIN DAIRPET – Solid 5th of 11, on return to competition, in a 2650m Pornichet Class E 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run and, while not a priority, can nevertheless get a look-in
14. JACKPOT DES BORDES – Got back in the game when 2nd of 10 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F 10 days ago. Finds himself in a superior category this time and is unlikely to spring a surprise
15. JOLLITY GABY – Pleasantly surprised at Luçon before coming last of 7 in a 2600m Montignac Class E on 8 August and, front pads fitted or not, has no possible chance
16. JADE – Imposed at Meslay-du-Maine before running 5th of 8 in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 10 August. Drops back to a more suitable level, has won numerous times for Yoann Lebourgeois, and can make this his own
17. JET SET DU BELLAY – Less sharp since winning here in June, latterly sanctioned in a 1609m Argentan Class E on 10 August. Returns to the venue of June’s success however and the Franck Nivard-factor must be taken into account. Chance
18. JEANBAT DANOVER – Last of 11 when preparing for this in a 2050m Cabourg Class D mid-August. Has never delivered here and even with front shoes off, will struggle to make his mark
Summary: Nicely-entered here, JADE (16) was by no means disgraced in Paris after having imposed at Meslay and looks a marginally better bet than the similarly well-engaged JET SET DU BELLAY (17) who is significantly better than recent results would suggest. JAMBIER (11) is never far from faulting but has otherwise been in fine shape and looks a player. 25m better off, JULIUS ECUS (6) is plainly on the way up and, sports front pads for the first time, and can pleasantly surprise.

1. IDEAL D’ARTONGES – 5th behind HOLLYWOOD GIRL (10) in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle late last month. Returns to racing with hind shoes off but still faces a tough task
2. HATE YOU BEYLEV – Lost his action in a 2200m Agon-Coutainville Class H 3.5 weeks ago after having imposed over track and trip late-July. Seldom disappoints when focused and the new shoeing formula may be just the ticket to his redemption
3. ILVICA DE HOUELLE – 6th of 9 over course and distance before faulting, when never in touch, in a 2725m Pornichet Class E 3 weeks ago. Pierre-Yves Verva onboard this time but still no more than a minor place prospect
4. ISIS DU LEARD – Failed to pull off the 4-timer when sanctioned, with gas in the tank, in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class F on 9 August. Is a force when applied though and will be expected to put things right
5. HEOL LORIETTES – Returns to the discipline he adores after winning a 2700m Thouars harness Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Clearly better on turf but in present shape is very easy to like for a spot in first 5
6. GALOPIN DE POTES – Reassured at La Capelle before faulting early in a 2400m Amiens Class G on 1 August. Is plainly capable when focused but others easier to trust
7. IMAIL DE CARSI – Makes first monté appearance of the summer after trotting 3rd of 11 in a 2775m Craon harness Class F on 1 September. Front pads fitted and looks dangerous on his Mauquenchy debut
8. GERONIMO STARDUST – Back under the saddle after coming 9th of 10 in a 2800m Strasbourg harness Class E 2 weeks ago and will have few, if any, friends
9. ICARE DU POMMEREUX – 5th of 11 in a 2550m amateurs Class F at Les Andelys on 31 August. Has previously won under these conditions and, although not a contender, can still pick up a thin slice of the pie
10. HOLLYWOOD GIRL – Good 2nd of 7 in a 2750m Class G at La Capelle late last month. Andréa Roussel onboard again and seems up to the task of challenging for a place on the podium
11. HYPERION DU BOCAGE – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 3150m Abbeville amateurs harness Class H a month ago. Springs the occasional surprise but current form does little to inspire confidence
12. HIER ENCORE – Sanctioned on return to the code in a 2800m Moulins Class F on Sunday. Has done nothing noteworthy since last autumn, races shod this time, and must get his house in order
Summary: Quite the revelation since switching codes, ISIS DU LEARD (4) brought her winning streak to an end when sanctioned last time out, but she nevertheless showed her form and can set the record straight if Adrien Lamy keeps her trotting. They will still encounter resistance from the reinvigorated IMAIL DE CARSI (7) who is shod to preference for his return to the code, and a newly-configured HATE YOU BEYLEV (2) who won here in late-July. HOLLYWOOD GIRL (10) showed her true side at La Capelle and, with form maintained, will be no easy touch.

1. IMOKO MADRIK – Is better than his 6th of 7 in a 2650m Laval Class F 2.5 weeks ago would suggest and will not be far off the mark if he replicates his penultimate performance
2. IMPACT DE L’ITON – Opened his seasonal account with a tenacious 2950m Saint-Malo Class F victory a month ago. Has had time to freshen up and, from the 2-spot, can repeat
3. INDULGENTE – Gave a good account on first seasonal objective, coming 3rd of 9 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago, and is sufficiently well-positioned to challenge for the win
4. IRVING DE BAILLY – Has been on a fine run of form this summer even though sanctioned 10 days ago in a 2850m Feurs Class F. Is nicely-placed behind the car and should not be ruled out
5. IL PLEUT BERGERE – Briefly lost her way before coming a reassuring 5th of 9 in a 2650m Class E at Divonne-les-Bains 3 weeks ago. Well-placed behind the car and will be no pushover
6. IBRAHIM DU RIB – Reverts to a previous formula after finishing last but one over 2300m at Mons last week, but still not a priority
7. ILLUMINATI – 5th behind ILIADE MENCOURT (8) in a 3025m Class F at Montier-en-Der 3.5 weeks ago. Placed here earlier in the year but looks less-competitive this time around
8. ILIADE MENCOURT – 3rd at Montier-en-Der before faulting in a 2600m Le Touquet Class E 11 days ago. Goes well left-handed and, with application, will not be far from the action
9. ILLUMINATOR – Should not be too hastily-judged for coming 10th of 15 in a 2600m Le Touquet Class E earlier this month. Reverts to a previous configuration, is proven here, and can get a look-in if Tom Debost keeps him out of trouble
10. IO DOMENICO – Failed to convert his Neuillé-Pont-Pierre success when last of 7 to IMPACT DE L’ITON (2) in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 13 August and can be confidently disregarded
11. IDEE MELOC – Knocking at the door lately, most recently 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche 10 days ago. Starts on back line but still looks a player
12. ISTRIA – Failed to confirm her Divonne-les-Bains success when 6th behind IDEE MELOC (11) in a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche 10 days ago. On back line and unlikely to cause an upset
13. IPOCALYPSE LOVE – Off the boil since the spring, most recently last of 10 in a 2550m Reims amateurs Class G on 31 August, and has nothing to offer
14. ILOUANE DU VIVIER – Disqualified when never threatening in a 2750m Cabourg Class E in early-June. Shod for re-entry and can be ruled out
15. IPSOS DANOVER – Races barefoot for first time after coming last of 4 in a 2825m amateurs Class G at Le Croisé-Laroche on Monday, and backs up with limited prospects
16. INCONTOURNABLE – Won at La Rochelle before coming 8th of 10 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F early-August. Shoes on and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Very hard to knock of late, IMPACT DE L’ITON (2) left a particularly good impression at Saint-Malo recently and, similarly-shod, can double his money. He will nevertheless feel the heat from the serious INDULGENTE (3) who reassured just a fortnight ago, and the versatile IL PLEUT BERGERE (5) who appears to be getting back to her best. ILIADE MENCOURT (8) blows hot and cold, and has been handed a wide draw, but her form is not in question and deserves to be taken seriously.

2. KIF ALDO – Returns to the ridden code after coming 7th of 11, when prepping for this, in a 2850m Laval harness Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Serious jockey onboard for the occasion and can make this his own
3. KOCKTAIL DE CARA – Light on experience but has placed in 2 of 3, most recently 3rd to KORINA DE BEYLEV (15) in a 2850m Laon Class F early-June. Shod to preference for re-entry and looks competitively well-in
4. KHEOPS CAILLERIE – Reassured at Bacqueville-en-Caux before being sanctioned early in a 2750m Cabourg Class F mid-August. Front shoes off this time and should not be entirely overlooked
5. KOLOMBO – Returns to racing with hind pads fitted after trotting 9th, behind KOOKY LA HURETRY (6), in a 2700m Graignes Class F 10 days ago, but others still easier to back
6. KOOKY LA HURETRY – Pleasantly surprising 5th of 13 in a 2700m Graignes Class F 10 days ago, but a repeat seems improbable
7. KALINE ERCA – Takes to the monté discipline for the first time following 2 straight sanctions, latterly in a 2750m Class F at La Ferté-Vidame late-July. Sports a new formula, with Jean-Yann Ricart on board, but others still preferred
8. KEEPSAKE – Debuts in the discipline after trotting 4th of 9 in a 2800m Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles earlier this month and looks the sort that can do well in the code. First 3
9. KAHIRO – Ability not in doubt but reliability is, most recently sanctioned in a 2675m Divonne-les-Bains Class E, and must first reassure
10. KISS ME DE CORTEM – 5th of 9 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche on Monday. Is capable when focused but is being aimed too high this time
11. KAYAK GEMA – Produced 2 good performances before being sanctioned in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2 weeks ago. Is clearly close to his race and, with application, can play a prominent role
12. KALOU DE TESS – 7th of 8 in a 2550m Cherbourg Class E 3.5 weeks ago on return from a spell. Showed marked improvement in the spring and, if fully-fit, can play a role
13. KOLCANI JEEP – Failed to confirm his Divonne-les-Bains performance when 10th of 13 in a 2200m Vincennes Class E last week, and can be passed over
14. KILLER MELOC – Tricky character taking first competitive monté steps after finishing 9th of 11 in a 2750m harness Class E at La Capelle last Sunday, and appears to have no possible chance
15. KORINA DE BEYLEV – Won at Laon before coming 2nd of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on 13 August. Is making up for lost time and has a reasonable chance of getting her nose in front
16. KEEGAN DE PARNIERE – Plainly talented but sanctioned more often than not, latterly in a 2750m Cabourg Class E early-August. Alexis Collette in the hot-seat this time and will be no easy touch if he can keep him trotting
Summary: Although sanctioned as often as not, KIF ALDO (2) has demonstrated very good aptitude for the monté discipline and with Pierre-Yves Verva in the irons, can start to come good again. That said, KORINA DE BEYLEV (15) has proven more dependable lately and present form augurs well for her chances. KEEPSAKE (8) makes his first appearance under the saddle but has shown enough in the other code to be considered a decent place chance. Shod this time, KAYAK GEMA (11) will not be far from the action if Mathis Champenois keeps him trotting.

C7 – PRIX LE CAFE DES SPORTS NEUVILLE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 |
1. LATINO LA MAZURE – Last but one in a 2750m Cabourg Class E early-August. Not as sharp as he was in the spring and chances appear slim
2. L’ECLAIR DE PLAY – Pleased at Cabourg before finishing last of 6 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 9 days ago. In less-exalted company this time and is well-placed to get in on the action
3. LILY MARGOT – Has had time to freshen up after coming 2nd of 6 over track and trip late-July. Is plainly an improving filly and is well-placed to challenge L’AMIRAL TURGOT (6) for the win
4. LUSANIO DE WARNOC – Honest colt that trotted 4th behind LILY MARGOT (3) in a Class E over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Always gives his best and has the capacity to finish in first 5
5. LAURE DE MORANZY – Promising sort but has not been seen out since coming 6th of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D mid-May, and will need the run
6. L’AMIRAL TURGOT – Confirmed his good qualification with 2 straight wins, most recently a Bagnoles-de-l’Orne Class F over 2850m mid-August. Leading driver at the helm and will be expected to maintain his perfect status
7. LORD DES GRANGES – Is not without merit but will need to improve on his 6th in Cabourg race of reference
8. LITTLEKING FOXGLEN – Tricky sort but can trot and is proven here. Drops back in category after coming 6th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2 weeks ago and, in the hands of Franck Nivard, will be expected to go close
9. LOKI FACTIER – Sent for a break after winning at Le Neuborg in May. 4th, close behind L’ECLAIR DE PLAY (2), on re-entry in a 2050m Cabourg Class E 3 weeks ago. On 2nd row but still worth keeping an eye on
10. LEA D’AMOUR – Lost her maiden tag in a 2200m Class E at Agon-Coutainville 2 weeks ago. Draw will not be an issue in this small field and the engagement of François Lagadeuc will only work in her favour
11. LOGGER STAR – Untried gelding that qualified without fanfare last season and makes his debut with limited ambition
Summary: Comfortable winner of both starts to date, L’AMIRAL TURGOT (6) sports hind pads, takes to the sand for the first time, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and looks eminently capable of pulling off the hat-trick. Similarly progressive, LILY MARGOT (3) finished 2nd over course and distance late-July and, from the 3-spot, will not go down easily. Sanctioned when going well here last month, LITTLEKING FOXGLEN (8) is better than his Vincennes result would suggest and entrusted to Franck Nivard, will be afforded every chance. Although not exactly a model of consistency, LEA D’AMOUR (10) opened her account late last month and is not incapable of picking up a place cheque.

C8 – PRIX LE FUNKY ROUEN – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class G Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 6,000 |
1. HEDENN LOVE DE REM – Sanctioned in a 2475m Francheville Class F mid-August. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be ruled out
2. HIJO MOKO – Drops back to his preferred category after coming 5th of 12 in a 2700m Graignes Class F a fortnight ago and the draw only works to his advantage. Chance
3. HURRICANE STEED – 5th, a place behind FREGATE HAUFOR (6), in a 2725m Graignes amateurs Class G 10 days ago. Has a good spot on front line and, with form maintained, can repeat
4. HYGNUS PRIOR – A tough individual in the amateur ranks, most recently 5th of 11 in a 2850m Carentan amateurs Class H mid-August. Should appreciate Mauquenchy profile and from the 4-spot, can bring home the bacon
5. HENZO D’ARC – Returns to the amateur division after coming 10th of 12 in Graignes race of reference. Positioned well on front line but chances still limited
6. FREGATE HAUFOR – Pleasant 4th of 9 in a 2725m Graignes amateurs Class G 10 days ago. Starts in front and while not a priority, is still capable of getting a look-in
7. HIMEROS DU GOUTIER – Blows hot and cold but reassured when 4th of 10 over 2300m at Mons last week. Has form with Béatrice Demoulin and is capable of making first 5 here
8. GUESS LUFFY – Drops down the class-ladder after coming 8th behind HIJO MOKO (2) at Graignes but is still unlikely to improve on that
9. FENOMENON – Unremarkable 6th behind FREGATE HAUFOR (6) in a 2725m Graignes amateurs Class G 10 days ago and has no possible chance
10. HUMBERSTON – Has solid amateur references but currently out of sorts, most recently 8th of 10 in a 3475m Agon-Coutainville claimer 2.5 weeks ago, and appears to have little to contribute
11. HARDI DE LAUMIERE – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2850m Vincennes claimer a fortnight ago and can be confidently ignored
12. GYPSIE MAGIQUE – Somewhat below-par since winning at Amiens in July, most recently last but one, behind HIJO MOKO (2), in a 2700m Graignes Class F 2 weeks ago. Is better than that however and, if focused, can figure prominently
13. GAVROCHE BOCAIN – Good 2nd of 8 in a 2150m Cagnes amateurs Class G 3.5 weeks ago. Has hardly put a foot wrong this summer and despite the draw, still looks competitively well-in
14. FARMONY DE JUPILLE – Showed marked improvement when close 2nd of 8 in an 1800m amateurs Class G at La Capelle last week. Handed a tough draw but is still worth monitoring
Summary: Faithful for the most part, HYGNUS PRIOR (4) made up for his Enghien blip at Carentan last time out and, reconfigured and superbly-positioned behind the car, can win this. Grégory Rochna-Dumont will still be wary of the in-form HIJO MOKO (2) who has thrived at this level in 2024, and the less-fortunately-placed GAVROCHE BOCAIN (13) who is close to winning another. Already 3 times a winner in the amateur category this season, GYPSIE MAGIQUE (12) has a fine opportunity to get back in the game.
