12. LEI E BELLA – Has ability and was fourth in class B at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 28 October. Won on three occasions this year and can add to her tally
Summary: LEI E BELLA (12) finished behind LALBANE STAR (9) last time out at Marseille-Vivaux but today’s course should suit her better and she can reverse the form with her rival. LUCKY CYNASOSO (8) has always been well regarded by his connections and should still have plenty of progress to offer. L’AMBASSADEUR (6) comes in this race after an excellent third place effort in a Class B and has a good starting position on the front row.

1. JUSTIFY MY LOVE – Proven under these conditions, even with his irons (shod) and is seldom far off the mark when avoiding disqualification. Shouldn’t be hastily condemned for his latest faux pas at Saint-Galmier on 16 October
2. JACOBIN DU GOUTIER – Complicated but undeniably capable trotter who usually acquits himself well when not disqualified. Last-start winner over 2700m at Lyon-La Soie on 1 November and remains competitive, even at this level
3. JAKABINO – Disqualified in consecutive recent outings – the latest over 3000m at Marseille-Borely on 18 October – but has sufficient means to acquit himself competitively if applied/remaining wise. Dark horse
4. JOLAN BOY – Ultra-consistent trotter with sound references/form credentials, including a course-and-distance 3rd on 10 October under similar conditions. Keep safe
5. JUST BEAUTIFUL – Confirmed under these conditions/in this shoeing configuration but out of sorts and unlikely to trouble the judge. Disqualified over 2700m at Lyon-La Soie on 11 November
6. JAMES DE LA VALLEE – Tricky customer with sound references under these conditions/in this shoeing configuration, including a last-start 2nd over 2700m at Lyon-La Soie on 11 November. Attractive outsider
7. JOBALASKO BLEU – Complicated but is undeniably capable, especially in this (barefoot) configuration. Finished 6th (shod) at Lyon-La Soie over 2700m on 1 November and is presented shod for this commitment – will be a factor
8. JURAE VET – Experienced hard-knocker with consistent/sound references, including a last-start 2nd with her irons at Paray-le-Monial over 2625m on 27 October
9. JUMANJI SIBEY – Honest hard-knocker with sound references/form credentials, including a good 3rd on this course over 2825m on 6 October. Not taken lightly
10. JEDI DES BROUETS – Disqualified in 3 consecutive recent appearances, the latest over 2700m at Lyon-Parilly on 1 November. Others preferred
11. JUST D’ERONVILLE – Consistent performer with references at a higher level and a course-and-distance victory on 25 May. Shouldn’t be hastily condemned for finishing 9th over 3000m at Salon-de-Provence on 26 October
12. JESON BOY – Ultra-consistent trotter with sound references/form credentials at a higher level, especially under these conditions and in this (barefoot) configuration. Runner-up recently in consecutive course-and-distance races, the latest on 10 October
Summary: ESON BOY (12) has been unlucky not to win recently. He should have that consistency rewarded with a winning turn soon. JOBLASKO BLEU (7) is unreliable but is capable of winning. JOLAN BOY (4), consistent overall, is likely to be competitive once again. JUST D’ERONVILLE (11) is consistent and has won over this course and distance so is another to consider.

1. IQUEM – Delicate and often at fault but usually acquits himself competitively when avoiding disqualification – this remains a question of his wisdom. Disqualified (shod) at Enghien on 27 October but isn’t taken lightly
2. IMPULSE JULRY – Atoned for her disqualification at Marseille-Borely in September with a last-start victory over 2650m at Marseille-Vivaux on 28 October. Keep safe
3. HARLEQUIN – Complicated veteran with sufficient means but is currently out of sorts. Unplaced (9th) over 2650m at Marseille-Vivaux on 3 November
4. INCAHUASI – Thriving trotter who has won 3 of his last 4 starts, including his latest over this course and distance last month (10 October). Candidate for success
5. JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Classy mare with sound/consistent references at a higher level under these conditions, which include finishing 4th in back-to-back 2700m Quinte+ events at Vincennes – the latest on 8 November. One to beat
6. INBREED – Complicated but undeniably capable trotter who usually acquits himself competitively when avoiding disqualification. Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing 5th over 3000m at Marseille-Borely on 11 October
7. ISTER MAN – Inconsistent but undeniably capable performer whose references include winning a 2700m Vincennes Quinte+ in late September. Shouldn’t be condemned for finishing 9th at Saint-Galmier on 16 October
8. FEEL GOOD DESBOIS – Experienced and versatile hard-knocker with sound references in both trotting disciplines, though most effective unshod. Finished 5th (barefoot) in a 2850m Quinte+ at Vincennes on 26 August – watch for now
9. GEANT SARTHOIS – Well-performed veteran with references at a higher level although is most effective racing without irons. Disqualified over 2650m at Hyeres on 13 October and is best watched for now
10. EDEN JULRY – Tricky customer with means but is out of sorts. Finished 8th (plated) at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 28 October – could fare better in this barefoot configuration
11. HEROS DES MOTTES – A model of consistency under these conditions with solid form references/credentials, including a good 5th over 2650m at Marseille-Vivaux on 28 October. Should have a role to play
12. FEMTO DE VAUVERT – Consistent veteran with sound references/form credentials, including a last-start 3rd in a Saint-Galmier Quinte+ over 2625m on 16 October. Remains competitive even with his irons (shod)
Summary: JONGLEUSE DE LUNE (5) is a class mare and she has held her form well. She does look the one to be with in this lucky last race. INCAHUASI (4) has been at the top of his game of late and will certainly challenge for top honours. HERO DES MOTTES (11) is consistent and is not out of it. FEMTO DE VAUVERT (12), is a consistent veteran and also has a winning chance.

1. LULO DE SUHARDIERE – Unraced since finishing last of 9 in a 2825m Class F at Sablé-sur-Sarthe last May. Has shown little aptitude for the game and can be ruled out
2. LISA MONA BLUE – Flattering 5th of 10 in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 5 October, and will have nothing to offer here
3. LOVA BLUE – 4th of 13, at 70/1, in a 3000m Nantes Class B 10 days ago but, in this company, is unlikely to repeat
4. LUTIN DE REUX – Ran 3rd at Vincennes before coming 4th of 15 to LILAS CASTELLE (12) in a Class B over track and trip on 1 November. Has ground to make up on Gelormini’s filly but still looks the main threat
5. LOOK AT ME LULU – Sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly a 2625m Class C at La Rochelle last weekend. Breaks in front but first needs to right the ship
6. LOTI SOLO – Last of 15 when being conditioned in race of reference. Shoes on again and can be passed over
7. L’AS DESBOIS – Has 2 races in him since the break, latterly 6th of 13, behind LOVA BLUE (3), in a 3000m Nantes Class B 10 days ago. Means business in this configuration and the excellent entry will only work to his advantage. Chance
8. LIZY JOSSELYN – Takes a dip in class after finishing last but one, behind LAKARA (10), in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 8 days ago. Is reconfigured, entrusted to Matthieu Abrivard this time, and can make first 5
9. LASH PERRINE – Placed in a Gr.2 last winter but below-par since, latterly 12th of 15 to LILAS CASTELLE (12) in a Class B over track and trip on 1 November. Remains shod and best to hold off
10. LAKARA – Respectable but beaten 4th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 8 days ago. Has never disappointed when fitted with pads and has a solid chance of trotting her way onto the podium
11. LITTLE STRAWBERRY – Runner-up at Les Sables before finishing 10th in 1 November race of reference, but can make amends and finish in the mix if Benjamin Rochard assures her initial strides
12. LILAS CASTELLE – Winner of her last 2, most recently a Class B under these conditions with ease, a fortnight ago, and the hat-trick is well within her capacity
Summary: Back at the top of her game after a rollercoaster of a summer, LILAS CASTELLE (12) flew up over course and distance on 1 November and even though stepping back up in category, can make this his own. Gabriele Gelormini will still be wary of front-row starters, LUTIN DE REUX (4), who finished 4th that day, and the well-entered L’AS DESBOIS (7) who is fitted with pads after a brace of conditioners. 6th here before running 4th in a Vincennes Gr.3, the padded LAKARA (10) will be unavailable at 39/1 this time.

1. INCISIF VAUCEEN – Showed marked improvement when 4th of 15 in a Class D over course and distance a fortnight ago. Will not be sent out at 37/1 this time, but is unlikely to be as performant either
2. IDYLLE PIYA – Sanctioned in both starts since the break, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class D a month ago, and can be confidently disregarded
3. IZZIE D’ERONVILLE – Courageous 2nd of 16 in a 3000m Nantes Class F 10 days ago. Takes on another decent bunch but, on current trajectory, will not be far off the mark
4. IRMA DU VIVIER – Made up for some below-par efforts when 3rd of 14 in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 10 October. Breaks in front and, freshly-configured, can play a leading role
5. ITALIA JADOR – Back under harness after running 4th of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes monté Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has placed just once in 7 Laval appearances and is not about to change her ways
6. HOTESSE D’HAUFOR – Last of 9 in a 2050m Class F at Divonne-les-Bains late-August. Has done nothing noteworthy all year and, even racing barefoot, will not be influencing the outcome
7. IROMEE – Last but one in a Class E over course and distance 8 days ago. Out of sorts for some time and must first reaffirm
8. INTOUCHABLE – By no means disgraced when 5th of 11 behind INDIGO PIERJI (10) in a 2700m Vincennes Class A late last month. Is confirmed here and should finish closer this time
9. IVANOF – Sanctioned in a 2700m Machecoul Class E a fortnight ago. Thrives with the day’s driver though and must be considered a player
10. INDIGO PIERJI – Good, consistent type that ran 2nd of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class A late last month, and a similar effort would see him win this
11. FURIEUSE PURPLE – 11th of 14, a place behind IVANOF (9), in a Class D over track and trip on 26 September. Shoes back on and no threat
12. INDY DE JYR – 5th of 15 in a 2575m Agen Class D 3.5 weeks ago. Is highly-consistent, races barefoot this time, and again represents a decent first-5 chance
13. FINGER DES BORDES – Tricky character making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 30 September, and will not be shaking things up
14. FELICITA D’ECOUVES – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class C late-August. Shod for comeback and best to wait
15. GALLAGHER WIND – Starts for first time since coming 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien monté Class D last July. Shoes on and will have other priorities
16. IROISE DE LA NOE – Good class of mare with a decent entry here. Ran 2nd of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last Saturday and, even racing shod, can finish in the mix
17. GARDE A VOUS – Out of the picture in 3 starts since his long absence, most recently 13th of 14 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago, and can be ruled out
Summary: INDIGO PIERJI (10) has hardly put a foot out of place for some time, has a particular liking for Laval, and in current form is very easy to recommend. 5th that day after having run 2nd in a Class D, INTOUCHABLE (8) won his only barefoot Laval start. 25m better off and in the frame in her last 4, IZZIE D’ERONVILLE (3) has previously won here and will be no pushover. IVANOF (9) is reunited with Eric Raffin and, even though incurring the penalty, will still be expected to put his latest results behind him.

1. KELYO DU SOLNAN – Sanctioned, on comeback, in a 2625m Class E at La Rochelle a week ago. Has ample ability, and sports front pads, but is being asked to do too much
2. KRONOS ZEN – Made up for Vincennes sanction when 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Meslay Class B on 2 October. Comes here fresh and, plainly in competition-mode, will be dangerous if focused
3. KING TEJY – Surprise 8th of 15, a place behind KARMA POWER (10), in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. Useful in both codes and, although not a priority, can still takes advantage of his front-line break
4. KOUSINE CARISAIE – 9th of 11, on return from a spell, in a 2100m Vincennes Class C 3 weeks ago. Fitted with 4 pads this time but still not easy to recommend
5. KINDY PERRINE – Last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 18 October. Barefoot this time but has little else going for her here
6. KILLER DE CAHOT – Reassuring 2nd on turf before running 3rd of 15, a place behind KARMA POWER (10), in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. On front row again, races barefoot, and should be competitive for a first-5 cheque
7. KEPI DU HOME – 8th of 15 in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables on 21 October. Shoes on again and best to hold off
8. KEEN OF THE NIGHT – Has ability but very disappointing this term, latterly sanctioned in a 2800m Chartres Class B mid-October, and can be ruled out
9. KISS ME AGAIN – Won a 2700m Vincennes Class D before repeating in a similar Class C on 29 September. Went close last time here and looks a serious proposition once again
10. KARMA POWER – Flew up in a Vincennes Class C before coming good 2nd of 15 in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. On back line again and the Eric Raffin-factor must be taken into account
11. KRAFEN – Sanctioned in 1 November race of reference. Goes barefoot this time but nevertheless needs to get his house in order
12. KANTO AVIS – 10th of 15, behind KARMA POWER (10), when preparing for this in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and can open his autumn account
13. KARLITO – Group-class colt that was unlucky to lose his action in a 2625m Agen-Le Passage Class B 3.5 weeks ago. Unbeaten at the venue and can bring the fight to KARLITO (13)
14. KYRIELLE – 11th of 15, a place behind KARMA POWER (10), in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago. Is still being conditioned and others preferred this time
Summary: More than capable when fit and focused, KANTO AVIS (12) has form at Laval, races barefoot this time, and has the class to win a race of this rank. Sanctioned, when prohibitive favourite, at Agen last month, KARLITO (13) won his only start over course and distance and returns to racing left-handed with legitimate ambition. A veritable steamroller in this configuration, KISS ME AGAIN (9) returns to Laval on a hat-trick and, fresh for the occasion, looks a major player. 25m better off here, and unshod behind, KRONOS ZEN (2) reassured at Meslay-du-Maine last time out and, if focused, can play an active role.

2. JIANFRANCO – Comfortable winner of a Class D over course and distance on 5 October. Is never far from faulting but, if applied, will have a good chance of repeating
3. JEDUISANT – Sanctioned, on 2nd start back, in a 2700m Vincennes Class B mid-October. Remains shod and can be passed over
4. JAVA DES CAILLONS – Not once out of first 2 in last 5 starts, latterly 2nd of 13 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Races shod this time though and best to keep one’s powder dry
5. JAVELOT – 2nd of 15 in a 2200m Caen Class D on 20 October. Has been knocking at the door over recent months and, a winner here this spring, he breaks in front and should again play an active role
6. JOYEUX DU LANDRET – Won 2 of last 3, most recently a 2850m Vincennes Class D 3.5 weeks ago. Enjoys a front-row break and looks eminently capable of confirming
7. JAMAICA PHEDO – Sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes monté Gr.2 8 days ago. Here for a change of scenery and can be ignored
8. JIBI DU FRUITIER – 9th of 16 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B a week ago. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and, even though incurring the penalty, still looks capable of finishing in the mix
9. JEWEL DE BANVILLE – Made amends for Enghien sanction when 3rd of 11, a place behind JAPPELOUP TURGOT (11), in a Class C over course and distance on 1 November. Sports a new formula for the occasion and must be taken seriously
10. JANZIBAR – Authoritative winner of a 2175m Vincennes monté Class B on 27 September. Stays shod and has other priorities
11. JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Missed out on the hat-trick when close 2nd of 11 in a Class C over track and trip a fortnight ago. On back row again but still has the wherewithal to get his nose in front
Summary: Exceptional winner at Vincennes after having come third to the tricky but useful JIANFRANCO (2) here the previous month, JOYEUX DU LANDRET (6) has never been better and has a realistic chance of turning the tables. JAPPELOUP TURGOT (11) has been going good-guns recently, running 2nd under these conditions just 2 weeks ago, but Matthieu Abrivard can again expect to feel the heat from a reconfigured JEWEL DE BANVILLE (9) who finished a place behind him here.

1. HAPPY JAVANAIS – Showed improvement when 4th of 9 in a 2850m Class H at Nuillé-sur-Vicoin mid-October, but has too much to do this time
2. IMAGE D’AIROU – Won 2 in a row before finishing 6th of 11 in a 2150m Mauquenchy harness Class G last Sunday. Not easy to handle in this code but can pick up some prizemoney if Antonin André manages to keep her mind on the game
3. HENRI DE LA ROUVRE – Returns to the ridden discipline after finishing 7th of 15 in a 2850m Maure Class F last Sunday. Has previously won here but cannot be considered a priority
4. INCROYABLE MORGAN – Sanctioned in a 2650m Alencon Class F on 6 October. Has otherwise found a new lease on life since switching codes and, if applied, is unlikely to let the side down
5. IDEAL D’URZY – Debuts in the discipline after being sanctioned in a 2850m Parilly Class F on 20 October. Has a lot going for him here and, with application, could pleasantly surprise
6. GRACIOSA TEJY – Surprise 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Class F at Nuillé-sur-Vicoin on 13 October, but a repeat seems most improbable
7. ILLUSTRE SAX – Ran 3rd at Pornichet before finishing last of 15 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 9 October. Alexis Collette could not have hoped for a better entry and is in with a shout of imposing
8. GALINKA DE GENNES – Serious mare that finished last of 14, on return from a 13-months’ hiatus, in a 2825m Chartres harness Class F late-October. Barefoot this time and, if sufficiently fit, can make first 5
9. HERCULE DES SABLES – 10th of 11, behind HAND DES ELIES (13), in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 3 November. Barefoot this time but, in this category, will struggle to make his mark
10. IDEAL DU NOYER – 6th of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Takes a dip in category and should have the measure of the field
11. GALION VOLSIN – 8th of 11, behind HAND DES ELIES (13), in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 3 November, and will need to show significant improvement
12. HARCANGELO D’AMOUR – 7th of 11 in a 2500m La Rochelle harness Class E last Saturday. No slouch on a good day but still represents little more than a minor place prospect
13. HAND DES ELIES – 2nd of 11 in a 2875m Argentan Class F 2 weeks ago. Is clearly close to his race and is not one to be underestimated
Summary: Although unthreatening last month in Paris, IDEAL DU NOYER (10) has otherwise been in cracking form and returns to a more reasonable level with every chance of imposing. 25m better off and also back in a more suitable category, ILLUSTRE SAX (7) can make a big impact if he replicates his Pornichet performance. Also starting in front, IDEAL D’URZY (5) takes his maiden competitive monté steps with hind shoes off and Eric Raffin in the saddle for the first time, and could well prove something of a spoiler. INCROYABLE MORGAN (4) should not be too hastily-judged for his Alencon sanction, and should appreciate the new profile.

C6 – PRIX LE BISTROT DU PAVILLON – LE BISTROT – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class F Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 19,000 |
1. IF DE LA COUDRE – Useful type that lost his action in a 2700m Segre Class F late-September. Has had time to recuperate and, if he manages to stay covered up, will have his chances
2. ISPAHAN TEAM – No champion but always gives his best, latterly 6th of 15 in a 2600m Saint-Galmier Class F 11 days ago. Appreciates these flatter tracks and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
3. IRONIE DE CHENU – Met no opposition in a 3000m Nantes amateurs Class F 10 days ago and in similar form, should be able to wrap this up
4. ISIS BLEUE – 10th of 12, on return to competition, in a 2725m Cabourg Class E 3 weeks ago. Out of the picture in last 6 starts and, even though well-drawn, will have few takers
5. IBAN DE KARA – 9th of 17, on return from a spell, in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E on 1 November. Will have come on for the run and, nicely-positioned in front, can play a prominent role
6. INDIANA BUROISE – Hardy mare that ran 3rd of 9 in a 2825m Vire monté Class F 3 weeks ago. Would be preferred a level down but Paul Buhigné will be eager to take advantage of the draw
7. INDIRISS – Made up for a pair of sanctions when 5th of 15 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a fortnight ago. Breaks on front line and, if focused, will have a claim on a place in the frame
8. IMPERIALE MIVENCE – Pleasant 6th of 12, on re-entry, in a 2650m Saint-Malo amateurs Class G a fortnight ago. Forced to start wide and races shod, but is not one to be overlooked
9. IRYSKA LESMELCHEN – 7th of 14 in a 2675m Class G at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 3 November. Has form in this category though and will not be far from the action if she reproduces her Pornichet performance
10. IGOR DES CAILLONS – Sanctioned, when unsupported, in a 2825m Chartres Class E 3 weeks ago, and will have nothing to contribute
11. INGLORIOUS – Won 2 from 3 before running 6th of 12 in a 2725m Pornichet amateurs Class F late last month. Not ideally-drawn but, in terms of ability, can make first 5
12. INES DU MARLOU – Encouraged at Saumur before finishing 8th of 13 in an amateurs Class G over course and distance 2 weeks ago, and is not about to cause an upset
13. ISARIO VENESI – Quality element but has not been seen in public since winning a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne in August 2023, and will need the run
14. IDEAL DE REVAT – Has not been seen out since coming 3rd of 11 in a 2825m Chartres Class D late-June. Shoes on and no threat
15. ILLUSION DE BETTON – Complete write-off since winning at Graignes in the summer, most recently sanctioned in a Class E over track and trip 8 days ago, and has no possible chance
16. IPANO STAR – Unplaced in last 3, latterly last of 13 in an amateurs Class G over course and distance 2 weeks ago, and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Easy winner of an amateurs event at Nantes earlier this month, IRONIE DE CHENU (3) finds herself perfectly-placed behind the car here and, with application, can double her money. IF DE LA COUDRE (1) reverts to a previous formula for the occasion, will not be inconvenienced by the draw, and should be dangerous at the business end of the race. In his category, and with a race under his belt, IBAN DE KARA (5) has been handed a good draw and his fine apprentice will be loathe to let it go to waste. The complicated INDIRISS (7) reassured last time out and will not be far off the mark if young Thomas Viaud keeps him trotting.

1. KING DE CHANLECY – Unable to confirm good run at Les Sables when sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien Class E late last month. Plainly in form though and, if behaved, will have a decent chance of making first 5
2. KNOCKANDO – 4th of 13, on first appearance since March, in a Class F over course and distance a fortnight ago. Will have progressed for the run and, although still shod, nevertheless warrants respect
3. KIZIA STAR – Imposed at Lisieux a fortnight ago before faulting in a 2450m Caen Class F last Saturday. Takes on the boys this time, but pleased here in September and cannot be discounted
4. KAZAN BEACH – Has not been seen out since finishing 7th of 12 in a 2875m Enghien Class E last June. Disregard
5. KACTUS DE BEAUM – Won at Amiens before coming 4th of 9 in a 2800m Vire Class E 3 weeks ago. Races left-handed for just 2nd time and, even with 4 pads fitted, still looks out of his depth
6. KONG DODVILLE – Progressive type that ran 2nd of 13 in a Class E over course and distance late-September, on first start since the spell. Comes here fresh and should be able to win this
7. KUROKO LAUAR – Not the most dependable but ran a courageous 5th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class E 3 weeks ago and will not be available at 100/1 this time
8. KARLA JALLERIE – 2nd of 8 in a 3250m Saumur Class F, on return from a spell, earlier this month. Tends to show more on turf though and others preferred
9. KISS ME CRAZY – Useful filly making first appearance since coming 2nd of 12 in a Class E under these conditions late-August, and will not be given a hard race
10. KERSIGAN – Sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class F conditioner 2 weeks ago. Still in conditioning-mode and can be passed over
11. KALI DES LANDIERS – Opened her 2024 account at Maure before running 6th of 10 in a 2725m Graignes Class F a fortnight ago, and will need to show significant improvement
12. KERATINE GLAM – Non partante
13. KORAYA DE KERLEAN – Disappointing 7th of 12, behind KID LEA DRIVER (16) in a 2875m Enghien Class E just under a month ago. Is proven under these conditions but others still easier to back
14. KALIKA DU LEVANT – Solid in last 3, latterly 4th of 8 in a 3150m Saint-Brieuc Class E 2 weeks ago. Has little love for Laval though and represents no more than a minor place prospect
15. KING DE CHOISEL – Back barefoot after winning a 2275m Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago. Entrusted to Matthieu Abrivard for first time and is not incapable of doubling up
16. KID LEA DRIVER – 4th of 12, at 94/1, in a 2875m Enghien Class E just under a month ago. Could not have asked for a better entry and can make the frame this time
Summary: Very impressive since his winning debut last June, KONG DODVILLE (6) put in a fine effort on his re-entry here in late-September and, after having been given ample time to recover, returns to the venue with a realistic chance of imposing. That said, the nicely-engaged KING DE CHOISEL (15) got back to victorious ways at Nantes recently and racing barefoot this time will only enhance his prospects. KUROKO LAUAR (7) makes his Laval bow after a reassuring performance at Enghien and, with form maintained, is unlikely to disappoint. Just €145 from elimination, KID LEA DRIVER (16) defied her odds on comeback and must be taken more seriously.

1. METEORE DU LILAS – Surprise 3rd of 9 in a 2300m Chartres Class F 12 days ago. Unlikely to repeat but should not be written off
2. MAJYC FLIGHT – Unraced since running 6th of 8 in a 2525m Class E at Les Andelys mid-September. Decently-placed on front row but cannot be considered a player
3. MILLION DIAMANT – Defied his ordinary qualification to run 2nd of 7 in a 2200m Strasbourg Class F, on debut, early this month. Handed a good draw and is not to be overlooked
4. MOUSTACHE – Failed to confirm Parilly performance when quickly sanctioned in a 2050m Cabourg Class D a month ago, and appears to be biting off more than she can chew
5. MAFALDA – Thoroughly professional when 2nd of 9 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F a fortnight ago, first time out. Has ideal conditions here and given the stable’s record with young horses, can get down to business this time
6. MISTER SALTOR – 7th of 8 in a 2050m cabourg Class E on 24 October. Placed here the time before though and is sufficiently well-placed to play an active role
7. MARBOXIE D’HERIPRE – Last of 7 in a 2200m Vincennes Gr.3 a month ago. In less-exalted company this time and, with application, can make a big splash
8. MARILYN D’OURVILLE – 8th of 10 in a 2400m Amiens Class E 3 weeks ago. Yet to show any aptitude for the game and can be ruled out
9. MISS IS DU CANET – 5th in last 2, latterly of 10 in a 2050m Cordemais Class F on 6 October. Pulled a rough draw and will have little to offer
10. MADIBA DE BELLANDE – Put in a good debut performance on 19 October, coming 4th of 8 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class E. Forced to start on 2nd line but will have a lot to offer if Alexis Collette successfully negotiates the start
11. MOSTRA DE CHANLECY – Qualified in 1’18″8 at Meslay last May. Gabi Gelormini gets the nod here and, despite the draw, will generate considerable interest
12. MISTER CHARM – Debuted 5th of 8 in a 2725m Lisieux Class F a fortnight ago. Goes left-handed this time but others still easier to back
13. MIDDLE STAR – Qualified in 1’19″7 here late-May. Has had time to come on over the summer but the draw will do him no favours
14. MAGIC LOVE – Qualified in 1’18″5 here early-July. Benjamin Rochard in the bike and, if as good in competition, can play a prominent role
Summary: Very good second on her debut at Cherbourg early this month, MAFALDA (5) takes on the colts this time but still looks good enough to dominate. The complicated MARBOXIE D’HERIPRE (7) takes a notable dip in class and will be no easy touch if William Bigeon can keep her focused. MADIBA DE BELLANDE (10) showed decent aptitude first time out and will have come on for the run. Third over course and distance before failing to fire at Cabourg, MISTER SALTOR (6) returns to Laval in a legitimate bid at redemption.

2. BAHIA BLANCA – Experienced filly with sound/consistent references at a lower level, including a last-start 6th in a claimer over 1300m at Le Touquet on 1 July. Unplaced (11th) in her only handicap appearance – watch for now
3. READY KING – Finished a reassuring 3rd behind MALTOCK D’ORGERES (6) in a 1650m Amiens claimer on 6 November. Keep safe
4. FANTASTIC DEAL – Improving with each start, the latest (2nd) over 2000m at ParisLongchamp on 30 May. Taken seriously on his reappearance off a reduced mark
5. MY DESERT QUEEN – Inconsistent and soundly beaten in her last 2 handicap appearances, the latest (12th) at Fontainebleau on 4 November, but has dropped to a career-low mark. Has the means to make her presence felt
6. MALTOCK D’ORGERES – Unplaced in 3 handicap appearances but improved in first-time blinkers to finish a reassuring 2nd in a 1650m Amiens claimer on 6 November. Not taken lightly with that headgear retained
7. BELHAD JELOIS – Finished 2nd in a 1650m Amiens handicap on 29 September. Failed to confirm that form/improvement when only 9th in a 2000m handicap at Nancy on 22 October
8. BREAWNA – Runner-up in 2 of her last 3 starts, both on PSF – the latest over 2100m at Mons on 5 November. Soundly beaten in both turf appearances, including a 2500m claimer on this course (8th) last month
9. PROUD LUCY – Finished 4th in consecutive recent outings/handicaps, the latest over 2200m on heavy ground at Amiens on 6 November. Candidate for success
10. WIN ALONE – Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing 7th in a 1400m Nancy handicap on 22 October off her current mark. Not taken lightly

12. LAMAJESTIK – Experienced in handicaps and has references on this track, including two 3rds in course-and-distance claimers. Didn’t go unnoticed when 6th in a 2200m Amiens handicap on 6 November
13. ASKAYA – Soundly beaten in all 3 handicap appearances on the flat and made no impression in a 3000m claiming hurdle at Auteuil on 24 September. Others preferred
14. ESHBELIA – Experienced 17-start maiden unlikely to trouble the judge. Finished 8th in first-time blinkers over 1650m at Machecoul 3 November
Summary: PROUD LUCY (9) finished 4th in her first start for Mickaël Séror and confirmed the form/improvement of that stable debut by finishing 4th again at Amiens last time, and she needn’t improve a great deal to win this opening event. FANTASTIC DEAL (4) is on the up and remains open to improvement on his reappearance. He hasn’t been seen since finishing a career-best 2nd at ParisLongchamp in May. MY DESERT QUEEN (5) has dropped to a dangerous mark and isn’t taken lightly. MALTOCK D’ORGERES (6) completes the shortlist.

1. AIGUIERE D’ARGENT – Unplaced in back-to-back Quinte+ handicaps before bouncing back to form with a creditable 5th off his current mark over in an 1800m Clairefontaine handicap on 25 October. Unbeaten in 2 starts at this track
2. DRUIDE – Consistent performer whose references include finishing in the Top 5 in 12 of his 14 appearances. Didn’t go unnoticed when finishing 4th in a 1950m Le Mans handicap on 16 October – keep safe
3. PORTRERO – Won consecutive course-and-distance handicaps last month and confirmed his competitiveness under a penalty (current mark) by finishing 4th in a 2000m Fontainebleau handicap on 4 November. Contender
4. MARKSWOMAN – Experienced filly with references in handicaps, including a 1300m Craon win (September 2023). Placed in 1 of 5 starts this year but soundly beaten (14th) in a 1600m PSF handicap at Chantilly on 29 October
5. MI C’INFILO – Consistent performer with sound references/form credentials, including a last-start 2nd over 1650m in a claimer at Amiens on 6 November. Changed hands since but should go well again for new connections
6. JACK OF TRADES – Experienced hard-knocker with sound references, including a course-and-distance claiming victory in mid-May. Finished 3rd in a 1650m Amiens claimer on 6 November and isn’t taken lightly dropped 1kg
7. COEUR DE ROUME – Returned to winning ways with a last-start success in a 1600m Lignières handicap on 1 November. Ought to remain competitive under a 2,5kg penalty
8. RAINIER – Caught the eye with an improved/encouraging 4th on very heavy ground at Clairefontaine on handicap debut over 1800m on 25 October. Dark horse
9. ANTE POST – Soundly beaten in consecutive handicap appearances/comeback outings recently, the latest (15th) over 1900m on PSF at Chantilly on 12 November. Others preferred
10. PREMIERE ETOILE – Won a 1900m La Test in late July but finished unplaced (8th) off a 0,5kg lower mark in her subsequent start at Vichy in a 2000m handicap on 14 August. For another day
11. PUERTA DEL SOL – Well-beaten 11th in a course-and-distance handicap in mid-September and unplaced (11th) in a 1900m PSF handicap at Chantilly on 1 October. Best watched for now
Summary: After back-to-back failures at Quinté+ level, AIGUIERE D’ARGENT (1) bounced back with a reassuring 5th in a Clairefontaine handicap recently and a repeat of that performance could suffice in his bid to preserve a 100% Le Croise-Laroche record. PORTRERO (3) is also somewhat of a course specialist and seems best equipped to threaten the selection’s unblemished record at this venue. DRUIDE (2), competitive at this level off his current mark, last-start winner COEUR DE ROUME (7), even under a 2,5kg penalty, and MI C’INFILO (5), who races for new connections, appeal most of the remainder.

1. PIENSA EN MI – Runner-up in a 1700m Class 2 conditions race behind classy Cambronne at Marseille-Borély last month (22 October). Makes the long trip to this venue with legitimate ambitions
2. CLIMATE CHANGE – Runner-up in a 1600m ParisLongchamp Quinté+ on 5 October and confirmed that form/improvement by winning a 1400m Class 2 conditions race at Bordeaux on 26 October. Contender under a 1,5kg penalty
3. DOURIANN – Listed winner in July 2023. Regaining momentum after a 9-month absence and shouldnt be condemned for finishing 13th in a 1600m Quinte+ at ParisLongchamp on 5 October – retains the means to do better
4. LIGHT WAKEUP – Last-start winner on heavy ground of a 1600m Nantes handicap on 1 November. Has more to do at this level under a 3kg penalty
5. ROUGEGARDE – Lightly raced hard-knocker with sound references in the handicap and claiming categories. Finished 5th on heavy ground in a 1600m Nantes handicap on 1 November when resuming after a 7-month absence
6. MANSOUR – Ideally engaged under the conditions as the highest-rated runner in the race. Finished 4th in a 2000m Group II at ParisLongchamp in April but hasn’t been seen since finishing 6th at Compiegne on 12 July
Summary: CLIMATE CHANGE (2) has done little wrong this year and is undefeated in 2 starts over this distance. He proved his form and well-being by winning last time and this is a good opportunity for him to add to his tally. Runner-up at Marseille-Borely last time in her first start since joining Nicolas Perret, PIENSA EN MI (1) also boasts a 100% record over 1800m and should fight for victory. Top-rated MANSOUR (6) is ideally engaged under these conditions so should make his presence felt. DOURIANN (3) has enjoyed success at this venue and retains the means to challenge for a spot on the podium.

3. DANSEUSE CELEBRE – Sparked improvement dropped in the weights/ratings to finish a reassuring 4th in a 1650m handicap at Amiens on 6 November. Dark horse
4. JOAO – Unreliable but capable hard-knocker whose last start (9th) in a 1650m Amiens handicap is best ignored. Seldom far off the mark and shouldn’t be taken lightly, especially with Marie Vélon’s weight allowance
5. TOP GLORY – Refitted with headgear (retained here) when finishing a reassuring 3rd at Amiens in a 1650m handicap on 6 November. Attractive outsider
6. NOBLE ANGEL – Unlucky when finishing unplaced (10th) in a 2100m Argentan handicap on 9 October. Didn’t secure clear passage and is capable of better
7. THAT’S MY POWER – Unreliable performer in handicaps – soundly beaten in 3 consecutive appearances at this level recently, the latest (13th) on PSF over 3200m at Chantilly on 28 October. Watch for now

9. NOT SO SILLY – Won a 2000m Vichy handicap in July but finished unplaced in both subsequent appearances, the latest (10th) in a course-and-distance handicap on 18 October. For another day
10. PRINCEDESCHAMPS – Unreliable but capable hard-knocker who blew his chances at the start when finishing 13th over 2000m in a handicap at Fontainebleau on 4 November. Shouldn’t be hastily condemned
11. CROCUS BORGET – Regained form/momentum recently in 2 appearances off his current mark – finished 3rd in both starts, the latest over 2000m in a handicap at Fontainebleau on 4 November. Keep safe
12. BELLA CIAO – In good form and physical condition, and should go well again. Won an 1800m Clairefontaine handicap last month and proved her competitiveness under a resultant 2,5kg penalty (current mark) with a good 2nd in a 1900m Bordeaux handicap on 5 November
13. OCTOBER CHOPE – Experienced handicapper with sound references at this level off her current mark, including a recent 6th over 1400m at Le Mans on 2 November. Headgear worn that day dispensed with but isn’t taken lightly
14. GOJI BERRY – Experienced veteran with sound references at this level off higher marks. Unplaced in 2 comeback races recently after a 6-month absence, the latest (12th) over 2000m at Fontainebleau on 4 November
15. WHAT DO YOU SAY – Unplaced in all 8 appearances this year and soundly beaten in back-to-back handicaps recently (11th in both) – the latest over 1600m on PSF at Chantilly on 29 October. Others preferred
Summary: BELLA CIAO (12) opened her account in a Clairefontaine handicap late last month and proved she remains competitive off her current mark (under a 2,5kg penalty) by finishing 2nd at Bordeaux in early November. She is ideally placed to reconnect with success and gets the nod ahead of CROCUS BORGET (11) whose recent performances augur well for his chances here. BOW LANE (8) will find this distance and the return to turf more to his liking, so he shouldn’t be taken lightly. Both JOAO (4) and PRINCEDESCHAMPS (10) are excused for disappointing recent efforts and retain the means to make their presence felt.
