He likes this track and is preferred to JUMANO (5) who has been placed on his last three starts and is probably the main danger from a favourable draw in stall 2. D DAY MAN (13) is well handicapped on his form of old and can make the top four. MICOLEO (12) returned to form with recent success at this track over 1300m, and can not be ignored.

- SHYAMALA – Veteran mare who was 2nd over the course & distance in a handicap on 4 December. Has every chance on the back of this performance
- RED NUDE ROUGE – Posted a reassuring effort when 4th of sixteen in a 1300m Handicap at Deauville on 27 November. Seldom wins races but has each-way shout
- KINGSFOLD – Not disgraced when 6th of fourteen over the course & distance on 4 December. Has a few lengths to find but cannot be overlooked off this mark
- TWO TWO TWO – Dropped one pound in the handicap following a 6th place in a claimer on 13 December at this course over 1300m. Others can be preferred
- URI – Finished 7th of fifteen in a mile handicap at Deauville on 10 December. Drop in trip likely to help but remains hard to fancy
- BIENNE – Finished mid-division in a 1300m handicap at this course on 19 December after two consecutive victories. Could be high in the weight

He is the pick here ahead of Nicolas Caullery’s triolet by TOLLARD ROYAL (7) who was a game fourth over the track and trip last time in this division. CITY OF HOPE (1) is back at the top of his game and is expected to make his presence felt. ADWAN (5) returns over a more suitable distance and is amongst the main contenders in this wide open lucky last race.
