  12. MENTALIST AR – Only fair of late and was 5th last time out in a Class D Mounted race over this course and distance on 10 December. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  13. MINDELO – Showed vast improvement when trying a Monted race and was runner-up in Class D over this track and trip on 10 December. Big chance
  14. MAESTRO DE JOUDES – Unreliable but was not disgraced when fourth in a Class D Mounted race over this track and trip on 10 December. Could play a minor role
    Summary: MINDELO (13) was runner-up over this course and distance when trying a Mounted race for the first time and can go one better this time. MAGYC BERRY (9) faulted last time out but is better judged on his good debut. MISTRAL D’AUVRECY (11) showed improvement under the saddle last time out and has a winning chance. MAJOR DU RUISSEAU (8) is very hard to trust but could improve trying a Mounted race.

    Summary: CHESTNUT (SWE) (14) sets a decent standard for the race and does look the one to be with in the lucky last race. HARENA DE MARZY (2) looked a threat before faulting last time out and deserves respect for that but that was her third disqualification in a row. CHITCHAT (10) is unreliable but does have a winning chance. MASK OFF (FIN) (6) was doing well before faulting last time out and could make the frame if smarter this time.

  4. INTENSE ACE – Consistent hard-knocker with sound references/form credentials, even with her irons (shod) – finished 4th in a 3000m amateur race at Châteaubriant on 1 December
  5. HANSKA SAUTONNE – Complicated trotter, disqualified 5 times in his last 8 starts – finished unplaced (10th) in each of the other 3 appearances, including his latest in a course-and-distance amateur race on 24 November. Others preferred

  15. HERMENCE DAIRPET – Consistent hard-knocker with sound references, though hasn’t been seen since finishing 6th over 2800m at Castéra-Verduzan on 12 August. Best watched for now
  16. GOLD DE BAULON – Experienced trotter who seldom finishes far off the mark but has no more than a minor role – unplaced in all 10 appearances this year, the latest (5th) in a course-and-distance claimer on 9 December
    Summary: ISTINGA BOCAIN (10) and I LOVE GABINLEA (12) have nothing to prove in the amateur category and boast solid form references in better races/fields. They could find themselves fighting for victory ahead of INGLORIOUS (8), favourably entered under these conditions, HEROS DES PLEIGNES (13) and INTENSE ACE (4) are others with podium ambitions. GHOST DE BEAULIEU (14) and HIDALGO BOY (9) appeal most of the remainder.

  44. SHADOW BAN – Was 9th over 1400m at Limoges on the 30th of November and will need to do plenty more to threaten here. Pass by
  45. MAGIC WAY – Has shown absolutely nothing in six starts, finished 14th last time and needs serious improvement to feature. Pass by
  46. NEHIAT – Showed good progression at the second time of asking when 5th at Pornichet over 1700m in late November. Strong each way chance
    Summary: MAHJOUBA (4) has placed two from two, seems progressive and could take a power of beating today. She finished 4th at Lyon La Soie over 1800m on the 16th of this month. The one to beat. NEHIAT (11) showed a tremendous amount of improvement at the second time of asking and more than likely has a lot more to offer. Big runner. APRIL FLOWER (3) was a winner of her penultimate start over 1800m in a weak Handicap and must be considered for absolutely all bets. FLEUR D’AQUITAINE (2) has a first four chance.

    Summary: LE ROCKEUR (4) has run two seconds in his last two starts and is confidently selected to go one more and snatch up a victory in this lineup. EVERWIN (1) returns to the course and distance where he has won four starts back and he definitely has a bright chance against his opponents. COSMO BEAU (11) needs to find a few lengths for the win but definitely has a place chance. BIG DRIFT (3) should be in the first four and expecting a big run.

    Summary: ACHKI (12) has been placed on five of his last six runs and could be the best option from the foot of the handicap. He was narrowly beaten last time and can give a good account of himself from a favoured draw in stall four. HERODION (15) is one for the each-way backers to latch on to.     Summary: CRACK CITY (3) got the job done over 1300m at this track 8 days ago and will have no issues with the slight step up in distance. He likes this track and is preferred to JUMANO (5) who has been placed on his last three starts and is probably the main danger from a favourable draw in stall 2. D DAY MAN (13) is well handicapped on his form of old and can make the top four. MICOLEO (12) returned to form with recent success at this track over 1300m, and can not be ignored.

  113. TOLLARD ROYAL – Finished 4th of sixteen in a similar handicap over track & trip on 4 December. Remains on a competitive mark and has serious podium aspirations
  114. UN PLUS UNE – Beaten under a lenght when 3rd of fifteen in a 1300m handicap at Deauville on 19 December. Ought to be in the mix
  115. SHYAMALA – Veteran mare who was 2nd over the course & distance in a handicap on 4 December. Has every chance on the back of this performance
  116. RED NUDE ROUGE – Posted a reassuring effort when 4th of sixteen in a 1300m Handicap at Deauville on 27 November. Seldom wins races but has each-way shout
  117. KINGSFOLD – Not disgraced when 6th of fourteen over the course & distance on 4 December. Has a few lengths to find but cannot be overlooked off this mark
  118. TWO TWO TWO – Dropped one pound in the handicap following a 6th place in a claimer on 13 December at this course over 1300m. Others can be preferred
  119. URI – Finished 7th of fifteen in a mile handicap at Deauville on 10 December. Drop in trip likely to help but remains hard to fancy
  120. BIENNE – Finished mid-division in a 1300m handicap at this course on 19 December after two consecutive victories. Could be high in the weight
  121. LORD MONCHABLON – Finished down the field in an identical race on 4 December over the track & trip. Hard to fancy on the back of this effort
  122. LOUVE PRECIEUSE – Comes in this race on the back of two consecutive victories, the last one on 10 December at Chantilly over a mile on 10 December. Has a six pounds penalty to defy
    Summary: DROIT DE PAROLE (2) comes in this race in great form and boasts a very good form on this surface. He is the pick here ahead of Nicolas Caullery’s triolet by TOLLARD ROYAL (7) who was a game fourth over the track and trip last time in this division. CITY OF HOPE (1) is back at the top of his game and is expected to make his presence felt. ADWAN (5) returns over a more suitable distance and is amongst the main contenders in this wide open lucky last race.
