R1 CAGNES-SUR-MER [L-H]

C1 – PRIX GELINOTTE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 16,000

  1. MILLESIME STAR – Qualified in 1’18”7 at Le Mans before running 5th of 8 finishers on debut in a 2150m Cordemais Class F 2 months ago. Will have come on for the run and looks to have the wherewithal to play a leading role
  2. MAESTRO D’ESPACE – 7th of 12 finishers behind MADE IN CARLESS (6) in a Class F over course and distance on Boxing Day but in this company is unlikely to confirm
  3. MORANE – 5th of 14 in a 2300m Borely Class E on 2 December. Comes here fresh, has demonstrated decent speed, and must be taken seriously
  4. MANCHEGO LANDING – Ran 4th on debut here before finishing 9th in 26 December race of reference and appears to have his work cut out
  5. MEKNES – Debuted nicely but disappointing in next 3, latterly last of 12 finishers behind MADE IN CARLESS (6) in a Class F over course and distance on Boxing Day. Handed a good draw but others still easier to back
  6. MADE IN CARLESS – Qualified unexceptionally here last summer but defied his 59/1 when 5th of 12 finishers in a Class F over course and distance on Boxing Day. Placed well on front line and looks a decent first-5 prospect
  7. MARSTON VICTORY – Made up for Borely clinker when 4th of 5 finishers in a 2050 Lyon-La Soie Class E 11 days ago. Nicely-entered on front line and, in this company, can make a big splash
  8. MYSTERE DE L’AVRE – Below-par in 2 since his promising debut, most recently 10th of 12 finishers behind MADE IN CARLESS (6) in a Class F over course and distance on Boxing Day. Is clearly better than that and will have an important part to play if he stays in stride
  9. MILANTERA – Sanctioned in 3 of 4 to date, most recently over 1600m at San Siro 2.5 weeks ago. She may be green and unattractively-placed on 2nd line but with application should not go home empty-handed
  10. MINNIE THE MOOCHER – Qualified in 1’20″5 at Laval during the autumn. Drawn on 2nd line for career debut and not an obvious choice
  11. MAYA DU CHATAULT – Untried filly that qualified in 1’20″4 at Le Mans last June. Takes on a tough bunch first time out and no fireworks anticipated
  12. MBAPE DES CHARRONS – Qualified in 1’18”7 at Caen last May. Stable has excellent Cagnes form and if as good as believed, can strike first time out
  13. MADE IN GEDE – 2nd on debut here only to be disqualified, prior to losing his action in a Class D over course and distance earlier this month. Not a contender but is still worth keeping an eye on
  14. MAGIC LOVE ELEVEN – Failed to fire on debut, under the saddle, last month prior to being sanctioned in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F 10 days ago. Should appreciate the even Cagnes surface but others still preferred
Summary: Although untried and poorly-drawn on the second line, MBAPE DES CHARRONS (12) hails from a stable with excellent Cagnes form and with his trainer in the bike, can get straight down to business. In qualification, he beat the better-placed MARSTON VICTORY (7) who most recently finished a respectable 4th at Lyon-La Soie, however the favourite’s lack of experience augurs well for Anthony Muidebled’s charge. MILLESIME STAR (1) gave a good account on his November debut, has had time to recuperate, and will be expected to finish closer on this occasion. Ideally-placed behind the car, MORANE (3) gets a first taste of Cagnes conditions and will be no pushover if she takes to the new profile.

    C2 – PRIX DU CAIRE GROS – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 22,000
  15. KILL THE BLUES – 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2650m Vivaux Class F last week. In better company on this occasion but races barefoot for first time and must be afforded respect
  16. KITALIANO ALGREF – Picked up where he left off following the break, sanctioned in a 2925m Class E here on 9 January. Starts in front and is first-time barefoot, but chances still appear limited
  17. KAID FORTUNA – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2700m Vincennes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is capable on a good day and from the 3-spot can play a leading role
  18. KINO DE LAUMIERE – 5th of 8 finishers behind KINO DE LAUMIERE (4) in a 2925m Cagnes Class E a fortnight ago. Just hind shoes off this time, has been handed an excellent draw, and will have his supporters
  19. KABYLIE DES EDEL – Below-par in last 3, most recently 7th of 14 in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class E on 11 December, and will have nothing to offer
  20. KARTING DE PLAY – Defied his odds to come 2nd of 11 in a Class E over course and distance on 6 January. Starts on front line and can contest the finish this time
  21. KARMA DE BERTRANGE – Sanctioned in a 2925m Class E here on 9 January. Is confirmed under these conditions but will need to be at the top of his game this time
  22. KRACH NONANTAIS – Sanctioned early in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class E on 11 December. Not as sharp as he was early last season and even though reunited with Benjamin Rochard, still seems to have too much to do
  23. KING CASH CEKE – Drops in category after running 6th of 12 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E on 12 February. In less-exalted company this time and even in spite of the draw, still looks the one to beat
  24. KERNEL DE NUIT – Pleasant 3rd of 13 in a 2925m claimer here a month ago but will have nothing to offer this time
  25. KINGDOM DU LIAMONE – 7th of 8 finishers behind KINO DE LAUMIERE (4) in a 2925m Cagnes Class E a fortnight ago. Has placed just twice in 14 Cagnes starts but in this company can make his presence felt
  26. KING SALTOR – 6th of 9 finishers behind KILL THE BLUES (1) in a 2650m Class F at Marseille-Vivaux mid-month. Denied a run that day, and not ideally-placed here, but will have his chances if David Békaert keeps him out of trouble
  27. KENJY DE LA VALLEE – Ran 2nd at Borely before finishing 5th of 14 in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class E on 11 December. Is confirmed left-handed and has a decent chance of picking up a first-5 cheque
  28. KABRIEL – 7th of 18 in a 2925m Class E here on 18 December. Races barefoot this time but is unlikely to spring a surprise
  29. KAPTAIN DE CRISTAL – Has not been seen out since running 12th of 16 in a 2600m Parilly Class E mid-November. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be ruled out
  30. KIDNAPPING – No slouch on a good day but was quickly sanctioned in a 2925m Class E here on 18 December. Handed a rough draw though and cannot be considered a priority
Summary: Clearly useful at this level but not always the easiest to handle, KING CASH CEKE (9) returns to a track he appreciates and, if applied, can make this his own. Christophe Martens will still want to be wary of the better-positioned KARTING DE PLAY (6) who left a fine impression on his re-entry here earlier in the month, and the newly-barefoot KING SALTOR (12) who was unlucky at Vivaux last week. KAID FORTUNA (3) enjoys a good spot behind the car and should not be far from the action if he stays in stride.

    C3 – PRIX TIGRE ROYAL – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000
  31. LIKALETO DE WALLIS – Useful sort that finished 6th of 12, on comeback, in a 2650m Vivaux Class C on 12 December. The run will have done him good but steps up in category and others easier to back
  32. LAUTREC TURGOT – Unplaced in 2 here before being sanctioned in 6 January race of reference and is unlikely to shake things up
  33. LE CASHMAKER – Would have finished 2nd in a 2925m Class D here earlier this month had he not faulted with 100m to go. Is placed well on front line and if applied, can play a part
  34. LOTHBROCK – Won 2 in a row here before being quickly sanctioned in a 2925m Class D here on 6 January. Enjoys a good draw and will be expected to bring the fight to LONDON JONES (8)
  35. LEADER DES RIOULTS – Never far from faulting but reassuring 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2925m Class D here on 6 January. Unlikely to paint the town red but can still pick up a first-5 cheque
  36. LAOS DE BANVILLE – Got back in the game last Friday, winning a 2700m Class E here at 65/1. Goes barefoot again and, if focused, can finish close
  37. LUCIFER – Lost his action after 200m in a 2700m Class D here late last month. Unlikely to lose his maiden status but, with application, can play an important part
  38. LONDON JONES – 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 3 January, on his first appearance since August. Will have progressed for the run and despite the wide draw still looks the pick of the field
Summary: Out of the first 3 just once in 6 career starts, LONDON JONES (8) gave a fine account of himself on his return to competition earlier this month. He will have progressed for the run, sports a new configuration for his Cagnes bow, and looks the horse to beat. He will still feel the heat from the excellent LOTHBROCK (4) who has won 5 of the 7 races he has finished, and the capable LUCIFER (7) who sports just front shoes in a bid to make up for his Cagnes sanction.
    SELECTIONS
    LONDON JONES (8) – LOTHBROCK (4) – LUCIFER (7) – LAOS DE BANVILLE (6)
    C4 – PRIX UNE DE MAI – 2925m (a2m) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 49,000
  39. GREAT OF MADRIK – Would have fought out the finish in a similar event here late last month had he not faulted 200m out. Has little experience here but in current condition is easy to like for a first-5 payout
  40. GALA DE CRENNES – Made up for Vincennes blip when 3rd of 15 in a Class B over course and distance late last month. Front pads fitted this time though and a repeat seems most improbable
  41. GINKGO THELOIS – Pleased in 3 here last month prior to being sanctioned in a 2100m Vincennes Class B 10 days ago. At this level though, will struggle to make his mark
  42. GIRL DE BASSIERE – Was not disgraced when 7th of 14 behind GAOTCHO JIEL (5) in a 2700m Vincennes Class B 3 weeks ago but still has more to find
  43. GAOTCHO JIEL – Pleasant 5th of 11 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class B 3 weeks ago. Has decent Cagnes references, sports pads this time, and should not be written off
  44. GRAAL DU TRESOR – Back under harness after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes monte Gr.3 on 12 January. Is patently in form though and can figure prominently if he keeps trotting
  45. GIMY DU POMMEREUX – Takes a dip in class after running 9th of 16 behind HONKY TONK BLUES (10) in 2925m Gr.3 Prix de la Côte d’Azur here on 9 January. Boasts decent Cagnes credentials and will be expected to finish in the mix
  46. GIBUS – 10th of 16 behind HONKY TONK BLUES (10) in 2925m Gr.3 Prix de la Côte d’Azur here on 9 January. Has won 2 of 3 in the day’s configuration but is unlikely to trouble the judge this time around
  47. FELIX DU BOURG – Ran better in the race of reference than his 7th of 11 finishers would suggest. Has little room for manoeuvre in this category though and can be passed over
  48. HONKY TONK BLUES – 5th of 16 in 2925m Gr.3 Prix de la Côte d’Azur here on 9 January. Is clearly on the way back up and will not be available at 41/1 this time
  49. GOLD DAIRPET – Makes Cagnes debut after running 4th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B a month back. Should take well to the new conditions and even though reconfigured for the occasion, still looks competitively well-in
  50. HEDE DARLING – Runner-up in Grand Prix de Noël before finishing last of 8, when being conditioned, in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 11 days ago. Has never failed to deliver at Cagnes and looks set to open his Riviera account
  51. HAPPY DANICA – Last of 14 in 2850m Gr.2 Prix de Belgique here 10 days ago. Did win a Class A under these conditions last month and, with 4 pads fitted this time, looks principal threat to HEDE DARLING (12)
  52. EBERTON – Honourable 9th in 21 December race of reference. Always gives his best but represents no more than a minor place prospect
  53. GALBA RINGEAT – Last of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B a month back. Did impose under these conditions last time here but may find the going a bit too tough
Summary: A tough nut when barefoot and focused, HEDE DARLING (12) ran 2nd in the Gr.3 Grand Prix de Noël just before Christmas and, following a recent Vincennes prep race, returns barefoot to Cagnes with every chance of bringing home the bacon. Nicolas Bazire will still be keeping a watchful eye on the reconfigured HAPPY DANICA (13) who is back at a more reasonable level having finished last in the Prix de Belgique, and the good dual-discipline GRAAL DU TRESOR (6) who sports a new formula after having lost his action in Paris recently. 4th to Bazire’s horse before coming 5th in the Gr.3 Prix de la Côte d’Azur a fortnight ago, HONKY TONK BLUES (10) looks thoroughly capable of challenging for a place in the frame.

    C5 – PRIX RASTEL BIHAN – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 31,000
  54. I RUN DE JANEIRO – Pleasantly-surprising 5th of 11 finishers behind HELICE DU TREZON (16), when preparing for this, in a 2925m Class E here 10 days ago. Shoes off this time and while not a priority, can still play a small part
  55. HARING OKINA – Easy winner of an amateurs Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. Has been handed a decent draw and even though stepping up in category, still looks a respectable place prospect
  56. HURRICANE FRANCE – Unexceptional type that could manage no closer than 7th in 12 January race of reference. Nicely-placed on front line though, has been reconfigured, and can get a look-in
  57. GREEN EYES – Has 2 runs in him following a lengthy absence, most recently sanctioned in a 2925m Class E here on Boxing Day. Will be race-fit by now and if applied should not be too far off the mark
  58. HIPSTER – Disappointing in 3 here this winter, latterly 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class E here a fortnight ago. Enjoys a good draw but is nevertheless taking on too much
  59. ILLUSTRE FERM – 9th of 11 finishers behind HELICE DU TREZON (16), when preparing for this, in a 2925m Class E here 10 days ago. Back to racing barefoot and is sufficiently well-placed to make first 5
  60. HASHTAG DE TAGOR – Winner of 2 of last 3, latterly a 2925m Class E here a fortnight ago. Breaks wide but has decent speed and should be good enough to apply the pressure on ILLICO DE BUSSET (8)
  61. ILLICO DE BUSSET – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 5th of 10 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 2.5 weeks ago but is plainly close to his race and can impose
  62. HEROINE RINGEAT – 5th over longer here before losing her action early in a 2650m Vivaux Class F last week and can be confidently disregarded
  63. GAYA DE LORGE – 8th of 11 finishers behind HELICE DU TREZON (16) in a 2925m Class E here 10 days ago, and with shoes on, is not about to stir things up
  64. ICARE FILE – 3rd over track and trip before coming 6th of 15 to HASHTAG DE TAGOR (7) in a 2925m Class E here a fortnight ago. On back line and will struggle to repeat
  65. GIRELLO – Modest sort that was quickly sanctioned in a 2925m claimer here 10 days ago and is plainly out of his depth
  66. IDEFIX JIHEM – 4th of 15 to HASHTAG DE TAGOR (7) in a 2925m Class E here 2 weeks ago. Hind shoes off for just 2nd time in his career and is unlikely to influence the outcome
  67. HADORABLE MEC – Not without merit but sanctioned in a 2725m Grenade Class F mid-December. Poorly-drawn here and would be preferred at a lower level
  68. GO CHICAGO – Has not been seen out since running 7th of 15 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle last September. Front shoes off but will still need the run
  69. HELICE DU TREZON – Comfortable 3rd of 11 finishers in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 12 January. Breaks wide on 2nd line but with Benjamin Rochard in the bike will be afforded every chance. First 3
Summary: While he may not always be the most dependable of horses, ILLICO DE BUSSET (8) has not disappointed in Paris this term and even though forced to start wide on the front line, he still has the wherewithal to win a race of this nature. He will still encounter resistance from the Cagnes-loving HASHTAG DE TAGOR (7) who latterly won smartly at the venue, and HARING OKINA (2) who took little time getting back in the winners’ enclosure following his short spell. HELICE DU TREZON (16) has pulled an unattractive draw but she has been very hard to knock lately and must be respected.

    C6 – PRIX DES ANCOLIES – 2925m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 39,000
  70. LYRIKO BELLO – Took little time getting back in shape, most recently 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2925m Class B here a fortnight ago. Races barefoot again, with his handler in the bike this time, and is unlikely to let the side down
  71. LOUISIANE MAGNY – Last of 7 behind LYRIKO BELLO (1) in a 2925m Class B here a fortnight ago. Went off the boil after scoring in Paris last October and needs to get her house in order
  72. L’ASTRAGALE – 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind LYRIKO BELLO (1), in a 2925m Class B here a fortnight ago. Has started to come good again and should be able to make first 5
  73. LOTUS ZEN – 4th of 7 finishers in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class B on 28 December. Has placed just once in 7 harness starts and even though reconfigured, can be passed over
  74. LALBANE STAR – Failed to complete the hat-trick when 2nd of 8 finishers to LORD DE LOIRON (6) in a Class A over course and distance on 21 December. Is plainly enjoying a fine run of form and should be able to trot her way into the frame
  75. LORD DE LOIRON – Quality colt that routed the opposition in a 2925m Class A here on 21 December and a similar performance would see him challenge LEADER D’AIMTE (8) for the spoils
  76. LAGNU MAG – Undeniably capable but disappointing lately, most recently last of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 on 11 January. Nicolas Bazire reining this time but others still preferred
  77. LEADER D’AIMTE – Going well before losing his action in a 2700m Vincennes Class A on New Year’s Day. Is patently in excellent shape and, with application, can make amends and win this
Summary: Solid for the most part at Vincennes this winter, LEADER D’AIMTE (8) lost his action when going well early this month but is being aimed marginally lower this time and is not incapable of making his Cagnes debut a winning one. François Lagadeuc will still be keeping one eye on the complicated but talented LORD DE LOIRON (6) who stormed up under these conditions a month back, and the in-form LALBANE STAR (5) who ran 2nd to him that day.

    C7 – PRIX HOUSTON LAUKKO – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 33,000
  78. JUDOPOCK – Found a new lease on life last season and has continued it into the new year, latterly 2nd of 14 in a 2925m Class E here 10 days ago, and already 5 times a winner here, must be considered a leading proposition
  79. JEU MAJYC – Tricky sort but reassured when 2nd of 12 in a 2925m Class D here on 12 January. Takes on a better bunch this time however and cannot be considered a priority
  80. JAURESS DE CANI – Encouraging 2nd of 15 in a 2925m Class E here 2 weeks ago. Handed a good draw but in this category represents no more than a minor place prospect
  81. JITANE VALLEE – 2nd on re-entry here late last month before suffering interference, subsequently sanctioned, in a 2925m Class E here 10 days ago. Benjamin Rochard in the bike this time though and must be regarded a major player
  82. JAGUAR DU FAN – Makes Cagnes debut after dominating a 2825m Cordemais Class D last week. Enjoys a good spot behind the car and is thoroughly capable of confirming
  83. JAVANAIS DELO – A different horse since starting to race barefoot, most recently winning a 2925m Class D here on 21 December. Simply thrives at Cagnes and a 3rd straight success here would be no surprise
  84. JEANBLANC DUEM – 4th of 11 in a 2950m Toulouse Class D 2.5 weeks ago. In the frame in both starts here and despite the wide draw, still looks good enough to make first 5
  85. JIQUEL – Disappointing since returning from autumn spell, latterly 7th of 15 behind JAURESS DE CANI (3) in a 2925m Class E here 2 weeks ago, and will need to find more
  86. JAPPELOU DU SOIR – Unremarkable element that was sanctioned early in a 2925m Class E here last Friday and backs up with limited ambition
  87. JOKER DE BELLOU – Reassuring 4th of 12 behind JEU MAJYC (2) in a 2925m Class D here 10 days ago. Handed an unattractive draw but in present shape can still get in on the action
Summary: After a pair of Paris sanctions, JAGUAR DU FAN (5) was sent to Cordemais a week ago where he duly obliged and a similar performance would see him double up. A different horse since last spring, JUDOPOCK (1) has finished runner-up in both return races and looks the principal danger. JAVANAIS DELO (6) has won 2 from 3 when barefoot, both at Cagnes-sur-Mer, and even though in marginally better company this time, still looks a player.

  88. IDEM JIHEM – Showed improvement when 5th of 13 in a Class C over course and distance on 3 January. Is not out of the picture for some prizemoney but will need to be at his best
  89. HELIOS DES CHAMPS – Sanctioned in last 5, most recently a 2150m Class D here on 6 January, and has no possible chance
  90. GEOLE DE LA TOUQUE – 7th of 15 behind GIULIANO (7) in a Class D over course and distance on 3 January. Is not devoid of ability but in current form is not easy to recommend
  91. ENJEU DAIRPET – Erratic sort that finished 2nd of 8 finishers in a claimer over track and trip 10 days ago but a repeat is most unlikely
  92. HOOPER DES CHASSES – 5th of 15, a place behind HARRY LE BEAU (9), in a 2150m Class D here earlier this month. Unlikely to impose but has been enjoying a decent run of form and is not going to be far off the mark
  93. FALFAUST – 3rd of 15, a place behind GIULIANO (7) in a Class D over course and distance on 3 January. Hard to fault over recent months and is unlikely to disappoint
  94. GIULIANO – A model of consistency over recent months, latterly 2nd of 15 in a Class D over course and distance on 3 January, and considering the form of Nicolas Ensch’s horses, he must be considered a decent first-5 prospect
  95. INFERNA DE HOUELLE – Quality element that reassured in a 2850m Vincennes Class D here on 6 January, coming 2nd of 12. Benjamin Rochard reining for first time since 2020 and will be expected to give HAPPY FACE (11) a run for his money
  96. HARRY LE BEAU – Wonderfully-consistent type that came 4th of 15 in a 2150m Class D here on 6 January. Is in his backyard here and will be expected to finish close once more
  97. GAUDEPSOU – Disappointing behind HARRY LE BEAU (9) here before finishing an unlucky 5th of 9 finishers in a 2150m Toulouse Class D last Saturday. That notwithstanding, he still has more to find
  98. HAPPY FACE – Complemented his Argentan success with victory in a 2650m Bordeaux Class D a fortnight ago. Has references racing left-handed and every chance of pulling off the 3-timer
  99. FAMEUX SAX – Somewhat disappointing 7th of 15 behind HARRY LE BEAU (9) in a 2150m Class D here on 6 January. Is the richest horse here though and should not be underestimated
Summary: Nicely-engaged toward the limit of earnings, and making his Cagnes debut on a hat-trick, HAPPY FACE (11) goes left-handed this time and François Lagadeuc will be loathe to pass up such a good opportunity. He will still come under pressure from INFERNA DE HOUELLE (8) who has been showing her form at Vincennes recently, and the dependable HARRY LE BEAU (9) who has nothing to prove under these conditions. HOOPER DES CHASSES (5) has not got his nose in front for 10 months but left a good impression here on 6 January and will be competitive for a place on the podium.

Summary: GALAXIE LIMOUSINE (3) excels at this level and seems ideally placed to follow up her Montauban success with another victory in this opening event. ICARE BRILLOUARD (12), a course-and-distance winner with Camille Langlois, is best equipped to fight for victory returning to the scene of his last success. HIMALAYA DU FORT (6) has more to offer after a much-needed comeback outing so should make her presence felt, along with HULK CHANTEREINE (2) who should have a role to play if confirming the improvement of his recent Marseille-Vivaux 3rd.

Summary: MINA DE BASSIERE (7) and MARCELLO (4) made winning introductions earlier this month and could find themselves fighting for victory with improvement expected of both. Well-bred MURO (2), after finishing 2nd last time, and MANHATTAN GABINLEA (5), whose 4th in a quality field was encouraging, needn’t improve much to join the fight. Summary: Hard-knocking 7-year-olds INO DE BRION (7), who is better than his last start suggests, recent Pontchâteau winner INSTINCT D’AUTHISE (3), and consistent I AM EAGLE (1) are genuine candidates for success. They seem to have the edge over their older rivals, of whom IMPERIAL BEJI (6), racing unshod again, and last-start scorer GHOST DE BEAULIEU (14) are best equipped to challenge for the leading positions.

Summary: Several of these are prone to faulting at the start, so surprises aren’t out of the question. LEEROY DU PADOUENG (2), despite 3 consecutive disqualifications, has the means to redeem himself and need only remain wise to repay his supporters. LOVELIE LEMAN (12), barefoot with Antoine Wiels at the helm, fits a similar profile and could make amends after back-to-back recent failures. Versatile LINE GASCOGNE (10), enigmatic LORD DU GILET (3) and experienced LYNX DES RACQUES (6) appeal most of the remainder.

LOOPING GRIFF (4), a stylish winner of his last start racing unshod for the first time, will make life difficult for the selection with further improvement expected. Summary: IVANHOE DU CLOS (7) didn’t have to exert himself to win last time. He is ideally entered under these conditions to double-up. 84. KHEOPS DE FREDLAU – Has struggled of late and was 13th in Class C at Vincennes over 2700m on 29 December. Unlikely to win
Summary: KING DRY (8) found only the smart Krooner d’Héripré too good at Cagnes earlier this month and a repeat of that performance should suffice here. KING TRACK (5) is making up for lost time after a lengthy absence and he shouldn’t be hastily condemned for his disqualification at Toulouse earlier this month. Recent Vincennes runner-up HAPPY DU BOIS (5) wouldn’t be winning out of turn and will be competitive with a 25m headstart.
