  4. VADOR DU BERLAIS – Placed on his last three runs over hurdles, the latter over 3500m at Pau in a Class 1 race on January 19th. Chase debut and can be on the premises
  5. LORELEY DES PLACES – Fair 3rd last time out in a Class 3 chase on January 19th at Pau, and a win over fences at Angouleme in late October before that. More improvement needed
  6. MARTHA CANNARY – Six unplaced runs of late, all over hurdles, apart from one chase run. 6th in a Listed hurdle at Auteuil over 3600m on December 8th. Chase debut and has work to do
    Summary: THE WORKAHOLIC (3) won nicely on his chase debut in a Class 1 race at Pau in mid-December and looks like the best option in this competitive race. LASCARIS (1) could be the main danger. He has been second on his last two runs, the latest in a Class 2 chase at Compiegne in late October. He will be ready after almost 4 months off the track. GOLIATH DU LUY (2) won a competitive Class 2 chase at Pau in late December and can not be discounted.

    Summary: NEVERCHANGEDOCTOR (4) caught the eye when he was second on his only run at this track in September last year over hurdles. He will be fit to go and is preferred to recent scorer LEHO (3) who is seeking a hat-trick of wins and hoping to remain unbeaten. SAINT CRYSTAL (2) won by 3.5L on his latest start at Pau over hurdles in early January and can be involved. WELLS PARK (1) makes up the shortlist.

  22. ITIEPY – Two unplaced runs of late, 2nd before that over 4400m at this track in a Class 2 chase on November 24th. Unlikely to threaten
  23. FEUILLE VERTE – Unplaced last time over hurdles in late January, she won before that on December 31st at Pau in a Class 1 chase over 3900m. Each way option
  24. KIKOUNETTE – Won over 3400m on her latest start on January 8th at Pau in a Class 4 chase. She jumped well and can be involved in this stronger affair
    Summary: JAPON (2) will improve fitness-wise after his narrow margin success at Pau in mid-January, as that was his first run for 9 months. He was a useful hurdler and is preferred to the more experienced MOTU FAREONE (3) who has done very little wrong herself. She was a pleasing third in a Grade 3 chase at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in early January on her latest start. KIKOUNETTE (8) won on her chase debut and can improve for that experience. FEUILLE VERTE (7) heads the rest.

  38. JARDIN SECRET – Fair 3rd over 3600m at this track in a handicap hurdle last time out on November 30th. Ought to be in the shake-up
  39. IDEAL DU CHENET – 3rd on the most recent outing over 3600m at this track in a handicap hurdle on November 26th. He is a course and distance winner before. Can steal a place at big odds
  40. PERSYAMBRE – Won over fences at this track on June 1st in a handicap over 3500m on the only run in 2024. Lightly raced recently and others make more appeal
    Summary: KAMYADOR (13) arrives after a couple of pleasing efforts over fences at Cagnes-Sur-Mer, the latest when he was third in a Grade 3 race in early January. He can have no issues with the switch back to hurdles. LOU FAST (1) has to concede weight all around but won at this track in November over hurdles and has acquitted himself well since. JUST IN TIME BLUE (8) is also one to consider and can give a good account of himself. JUMPER BAIE (9) won at this track recently and heads the remainder.

  49. YES WE HOPE – Fair 2nd on the one run over 3500m at Pau in a Class 2 hurdle on January 29th. Place contender
  50. MELODIE DIVINE – Won over 3400m in a maiden hurdle at Angers on December 7th on her only run. Improvement is expected and she can be involved
  51. AQUILAE – 5th over hurdles last time out in a Class 2 race at Compiegne on November 29th over 3400m. A flat winner last July over 2400m. Best watched for now
    Summary: LA PALMERAIE (6) has been placed on both of her runs over hurdles at this track, she was a pleasing second in a Class 2 event on her most recent start in October and will be fit for this. LA CLOCHARDE (8) will keep the selection honest and won recently at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in January by an easy 6L. PEPITE BLEUE (3) won her first two hurdle races and was then beaten in a Class 2 race last September. More can be expected this time. LOLITA DES MOTTES (7) is also worth a mention.

    Summary: BEST BOWL (6) has been in decent shape recently, he has two second-placed efforts on two of his last three runs, both of them at Cagnes -Sur-Mer in December. He is the tentative selection in this large field. BURROWS DIANE (5) had several placed runs on this track last year and was a pleasing fourth at Pau on her latest start in January. She can be dangerous. FORET VIERGE (13) looks like a sensible option each way. TILIN TALAN (14) is also worth a mention.

    Summary: KASHDAM (2) was a good second in the Prix Georges Courtois (Grade 2) chase over 4400m at this track on December 8th on his last start and has every chance of going one place better this time. KENTUCKY WOOD (8) won on his penultimate start over hurdles at Pau in December and has useful track form over fences. AIN’T GOT WINGS (4) has solid course form and warrants respect. GALLEO CONTI (3) missed out on the hat-trick of wins when second last time and ought to be thereabouts.

    Summary: Although she is yet to get off the mark, TWINMONA (3) could be the answer to this open event. She was a good second at Pau in early January on her latest start in a handicap hurdle and is given the vote ahead of FURIOSO (2) who was fourth in a large field of runners in a handicap hurdle at Pau in late January on his last outing. ILIVA DES OBEAUX (11) is one for the each-way backers to latch on to. HITADOR (7) is another to consider.

    Summary: HAMILTON ATOUT (6) showed good improvement when third at Montauban in December and with further improvement expected is a narrow choice in a difficult race. IPSI DE BENAC (7) is clearly capable of better than what he has shown of late and can get involved with the finish. HANNIBAL CARNOIS (9) returns from a break but does have a winning chance. I LOVE GABINLEA (5) has disqualification issues but is capable of winning when in the right mood.

    Summary: MELOMANE DE LOU (4) looked decent when scoring at Angers on debut last month and should follow up to beat these rivals.     Summary: IGNACE GUENESERIE (12) was a good winner over this distance in his penultimate start and was not disgraced at Vincennes last time out. He can bounce back to beat these rivals. IMAIL DE CARSI (4) has disqualification issues but has also run well in good fields and can be very competitive in this line-up. IXOR DE L’ITON (9) is not easy to trust but has a winning chance on his best form. HEADLINE FAC (10) ran some good races last autumn and cannot be totally overlooked.

    Summary: JEANNOT BUISSONAY (13) has won twice and been runner-up twice in his last four starts. He should make a bold bid at scoring again. JOYAU BLUE (6) ran well at Vincennes over this distance last month and can contest the finish again if in the same state of mind. JIANFRANCO (15) is not easy to trust but is a lively danger back at this track. JEWEL TOUCH (9) is in good shape and clearly not out of it.

    Summary: LOVE DE CERIZE (4) is in good form and Matthieu Abrivard is confident of a big performance so she gets a confident vote to score. LOOK AT ME D’AIRZA (10) was a good winner at Argentan but is not very reliable. LOVE KILLS (11) fluffed her lines with a disqualification last time out but was in good form before that and can contest the finish if wise. LE PRINCE DU RIS (13) won nicely enough at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat to be considered a lively threat in this line-up.

  115. MARQUISE DARLING – Finished 6th in class F at Angers over 2425m on 12 January. Did better on debut and can make the frame
  116. MISTER CHARM – Not disgraced when 5th in Class F at Angers over 2425m on 22 January. Capable of winning a race like this
  117. MALIKA DU SURF – Disqualified in class E at Nantes over 2275m on 26 January. Has yet to be victorious and is best watched for now
    Summary: MISTER CHARM (12) has shown a good finish in his three starts and could do a lot better trying this track. He could be of some value in a very competitive lucky last race. MYSTERE PERRINE (5) ran well on debut and with further improvement likely can get involved with the finish. MAURICETTE BLUE (10) is progressing and has a winning chance. MARQUISE DARLING (11) is better judged on a good debut performance and is another with a first rate chance.
