  2. NOLITO – Ignore last run, finished 4th over 1600m in Handicap class at this track before that and has to be taken seriously. Good chance
  3. GALILODGE – Will need to progress on recent 5th place at this course over 1300m in a weak race and others are preferred

  5. TIFFANYLI – Ignore her last two starts of which one was in Listed company. She was a winner before that over 1400m at Compiegne and can bounce back to better form

  7. LOUIS DE LA KLAUSS – Finished 6th over 1200m at Marseille Borely in a Handicap on the 27th of May last year and is hard to like. Happy to ignore
  8. BAYC – Will need to build on latest 11th over 1600m on the 12th of February and others should be much the stronger. Hard to like in this
Summary: BLU METAL JACKET (4) made a smart local winning debut in late January over 1300m at this very track and is confidently selected to follow up. His future looks bright here, in France. IVORY SPRING (1) is in a winning streak currently having won his last three and there simply is no reason why he cannot win again to make it four-in-a-row. NOLITO (2) can be forgiven for the last disappointing run and is likely to bounce right back to near best. He has a strong place chance. TIFFANYLI (5) is a must for the quartet and can serve up way more than the last two. Respect and include.

He was 4th at Pau over 1600m in a claimer on the 19th of January and can be given strong each way claims. COUR DU ROI (1) has won six times but is proving to be a tad erratic of late. In saying that, on best efforts, he can never be ignored. SUN PROJECT (6) is taking time for the maiden win and does have a bit to do for the win here. He, however, has a solid place chance. AGRI (5) has a first four chance and is a natural inclusion for the quartet.

  20. BARBADIN – Ignore last effort, was victorious before that when racing over 3200m in a Handicap at this track and should be ultra-competitive. Big chance
  21. NEVA NEVADA – Placed 4th over 2400m in a Handicap on the 10th of February and should go close. Strong each way chance
  22. ALGECIRAS – Managed to get up and run 3rd over 3200m last time in Handicap class and might be able to place again. Prefer others for win. Place chance

  25. YURINOV – Current form has been on the downward spiral over various distances and will need huge progression on latest efforts before being considered for any bets

NEVA NEVADA (5) boasts some consistent form of late and can be expected to build on his last 4th placing at this track over 2400m. Strong each way claims. BARBADIN (4) was victorious at his penultimate start but let the team down last time. He can be forgiven for that and can go very close this time. 28. LOU MAN – Was a winner three races back but has been on the downward spiral since. Will need to improve to feature here. Pass by

  37. BOBBYMURPHY – Won over 1800m on the 7th of this month in a Handicap and must be respected and included again. Good chance
  38. NEPALAIS – Finished 4th over 1900m in a Handicap at Deauville on the 24th of last month and should, again, be in the first four. Big runner
  39. APOLINO – Finished 5th over 2000m in a Handicap last time and is difficult to make a case for on overall form and can be ignored from all bets
  40. DENIA – She ran an improved race last time when 3rd over 2000m and can place again at likely decent odds. Place value suggestion for the quartet
  41. LINFASOMMER – Won the last start which was over 2000m at this track in a Handicap in late January and can follow up. Respect and include
Summary: SAINT ETIENNE (4) can be forgiven for the last 11th place run and judged on solid earlier form. Summary: In a race that won’t take a great deal of winning, SOHO YORK (3) is fancied to make a winning start going handicapping for the first time. He has produced two fair efforts against maidens and should prove to be a big threat in this. WESTMINSTER FOX (13) wasn’t seen to best effect last time out and should be able to bounce back to his previous form where he was right in the thick of things. SPICHOPE (4) produced a better effort last time out and should be involved. MOOREA (6) has seldom been far off the action and seems capable of winning in a race of this nature.

ARLINO (10) won with a bit in hand and could repeat in the dose in a very winnable contest. RIMBAULT (3) is best forgiven for a rather under par latest effort and if judged on previous form, he will be a threat. JOB DU MOUCHEL (5) has won twice at Argentan this year but will need to show he is as good at this track. JULIANO (12) showed some improvement last time and can contest the finish again. 89. KERNO – Much improved of late and was victorious last time out in Class E at Saint-Galmier over 2675m on 2 February. Can double up

Summary: IDOLE DE LA COTE (3) may be at her very best over a shorter distance but she remains barefoot after a good performance at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat earlier this month. She can go one better and take out this competitive lucky last race. JALNA DU PALAIS (2) has not won for some time now but was barefoot and runner-up at this course last time out and would not be a surprise winner. 2. JUSTE MILIEU – 3rd of 16 in a Class F over course and distance on 22 January. Has previously been successful at the venue and will not be available at 53/1 on this occasion
  3. JAZZ DU HOULET – Back to a track he likes after being sanctioned in a 2400m Amiens Class G mid-November but is shod for re-entry and others easier to support
  4. JULIUS ECUS – Can prove a handful but respectable 4th of 18 behind JAMAIQUE DAIRPET (16) in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 25 January. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and is well-placed to give this a good go
  5. JUST BE READY – 11th of 14 behind JOUVENCE DE KACY (8) in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 11 January. Just hind shoes on this time but others still easier to back
  6. JOSIE NONANTAISE – Unraced since dominating a 2625m Cherbourg Class E last June. Is plainly in competition-mode and can get straight down to business. Claim
  7. JOHN ANGOT – 13th of 18 behind JENKO DU HENNEQUIN (9) in a Class E over course and distance late last month. Is barefoot this time and with Gabriele Gelormini reining can be considered a player
  8. JOUVENCE DE KACY – Was not disgraced when 9th in 27 January race of reference. Front shoes off this time but a repeat seems most improbable
  9. JENKO DU HENNEQUIN – Ran 6th over track and trip before finishing last of 14 behind JERK QUICK (10) in a 2150m Argentan Class F early this month. Is plainly better than his last run would imply and should not be ruled out
  10. JERK QUICK – Failed to deliver when 7th of 14 in a 2150m Argentan Class F early this month. Shod to preference this time and the front-line break will do nothing to dampen his prospects. First 5
  11. JOKER PLANCHETTE – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2825m Chartres Class E early-December. Has little going for him here and others preferred
  12. JACKPOT BOOSTER – Useful on a good day but has not been seen out since running 9th of 16 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle last September. Shoes on and best to hold off
  13. JASMINE DE FORGAN – Last of 14 behind JOUVENCE DE KACY (8) in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 11 January. Being prepared for a campaign under the saddle and can be passed over
  14. JERONIMO DU CAUX – Unraced since coming 10th of 12 finishers behind JUPITER DE MAISY (15) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E mid-December. Front shoes off though and has a decent chance of picking up a small payout
  15. JUPITER DE MAISY – Has not been seen out since coming 3rd of 12 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E mid-December. Should take well to new conditions and even though shod, he enjoys a terrific entry and looks a leading protagonist
  16. JAMAIQUE DAIRPET – Has taken time to come to hand this winter but reassuring 2nd of 18 in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 25 January. Ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and can give JOSIE NONANTAISE (6) a run for her money
Summary: Although unraced for eight months, JOSIE NONANTAISE (6) showed another side to herself before being put away last summer. She hails from a stable going well, is barefoot for comeback, and from the front line could well hold off the reinvigorated and well-entered JAMAIQUE DAIRPET (16), and JUPITER DE MAISY (15) who, even though preferred barefoot, will be fresh with Benjamin Rochard reining for the first time. JUSTE MILIEU (2) pleasantly-surprised here last month and Franck Ouvrie can be confident of more support this time around.

  18. KENZAKAY DI VIN – Unraced since his sanctioned comeback in a 2500m Reims Class F early-December, and can expect to have few friends
  19. KINDER QUICK – 11th of 12 finishers, on return from a lengthy break, in a 2800m Vire Class F 10 days ago. Sports a new configuration but still not an obvious choice
  20. KING CRIMSON – Back racing left-handed after coming 7th of 15 in a 2800m Vire Class F 10 days ago. Is confirmed here, and starts in front, but looks no more than a minor place prospect
  21. KALIBRE – Returns to a track he appreciates after finishing 8th of 14 to KAZAN BEACH (13) in a 2175m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Shoes back on however, and others easier to like this time
  22. KISS YOU DU VERGER – Sanctioned here a fortnight back before repeating in a 2875m Argentan Class F on Sunday, and is unlikely to generate much interest
  23. KISSIOKO SEVEN – Faces first objective of the new year after coming 8th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class E conditioner a fortnight ago. Barefoot for the occasion and, just 40 Euros from the handicap, is unlikely to be far off the mark
  24. KALINKA DU GRENAT – Modest 8th of 17 in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 7 February. Has little going for her here and can be passed over
  25. KALIE D’URSIN – Returns to the harness code after finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class D mid-January and has no possible chance
  26. KALYPSO DE THIERRE – Quality element making first appearance since coming 3rd of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class D last July, and will be expected to need the race
  27. KOULOU GAGOU – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last April and is not about to shake things up
  28. KLASSIC DREAM – Left a good impression after being sanctioned early in a 2725m Graignes Class E early this month. Entrusted to Lebourgeois for first time and can justifiably expect to garner significant support
  29. KAZAN BEACH – Steps back up in trip after securing a 2175m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Sports pads for first time but still merits significant respect. Chance
  30. KAMA D’EM – Starts for first time since winning a 2200m Caen Class D last October. Is plainly in conditioning mode and best to wait
  31. KASSIOPEE DU NOYER – Failed to confirm Cabourg victory when 9th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 12 days ago. Raced better than the result would suggest though and is not to be overlooked
  32. KASSOUMAYE – Takes his chances at Mauquenchy after faulting in a 2700m Cagnes Class D earlier in the month. Seldom disappoints when barefoot and focused and the decent entry stands him in good enough stead to make first 5
  33. KELLY CHARLY ERA – Pleased in good company here before comfortably winning a 2175m Vincennes Class E late last month. On back line this time but still has the wherewithal to double her money
  34. KESSERO – Flew up in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 7 February. Is confirmed left-handed and, considering the engagement, is not incapable of repeating
Summary: Like a horse reborn since moving yards, KELLY CHARLY ERA (17) has twice defied her odds, enjoys an excellent entry at the limit of earnings, and will be expected to confirm her Vincennes success. It looks a tougher task this time around though, recent Argentan winner KESSERO (18) clearly back at his best, and the in-form KAZAN BEACH (13) freshly-configured for his Mauquenchy debut. KLASSIC DREAM (12) may not be an easy horse to handle but he showed his condition at Graignes and, shod as he was at Toulouse, can play a leading role if Yoann Lebourgeois keeps him focused.

  35. IDEAL DU MAXFRAN – Made it 3 straight sanctions after quickly faulting in a 2650m Marseille-Vivaux Class E late-November. Shoes on and can be confidently passed over
  36. JUDITH D’ARBAZ – Returns to racing with 4 pads after being sanctioned in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. On front row but others still easier to trust
  37. JARDIN DU ROI – Has not raced since coming 7th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E late-November. Shoes on and not a priority
  38. HELMA D’OCQUE – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F last September and with shoes on will have nothing to contribute
  39. JALANSKI – Sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class E early this month. Here for a change of scenery and even though reconfigured, still has too much to do
  40. IFALCO DE MAY – Made it 2 in a row when dominating a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 22 December. Well-entered in front, is unbeaten with Quentin Michel, and looks main threat to JE TE CHERCHE (13)
  41. JEKILL ROCQ – Should not be condemned for faulting in a 2700m Vincennes Class E early this month. Has solid references here, enjoys a front-row break, and the engagement of Yoann Lebourgeois will do his prospects no disservice. First 5
  42. JALDO D’OCQUE – Makes first appearance since running 6th of 11 in a 2825m Class A at Le Croise-Laroche in early-November. 4 pads fitted and will need the outing
  43. HARRY DU LYS – Won at Vivaux before coming 3rd of 10 in a 2925m Cagnes monte Class D early-January. Here for reasons of conditioning though and with shoes on will have nothing to offer
  44. HADOL DU PALMA – Unseen since running 4th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class C in October 2022. Shoes on and not a concern
  45. JACADI BROUETS – 8th of 14 to JE TE CHERCHE (13) in a 2150m Class E here on 22 January. Stays shod and from the 2nd row is unlikely to spring any surprises
  46. JINGLE LOVER – Significantly better than recent last of 8 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C mid-January would suggest. In less-exalted company this time and will have a lot to offer if he takes to new profile. Place chance
  47. JE TE CHERCHE – Wonderfully-consistent type that made short work of a 2150m Class E here on 22 January. Is a class above the field and will be expected to extend his win-rate
  48. JAGUAR D’OBRET – Opened his seasonal account a month ago, stylishly winning a 3000m Nantes Class D. Front pads fitted this time and more of a minor place prospect on this occasion
  49. HADDOCK DU CLOS – Serious trotter but makes first appearance since winning a 2700m Vincennes Class E in December 2023. Will need the run but has front pads fitted this time and could yet get a look-in
  50. HORACE D’ARTHENAY – Oddly-below-par last of 11 in a 2725m Graignes Class E late-December. Would be preferred barefoot but has already won for Benjamin Rochard and will be competitive for a spot in the mix
  51. JAGUAR DU FAN – Runner-up in last two, latterly a 2850m Maure Class E 10 days ago. Reunited with Matthieu Abrivard who won his only start with him and must be taken seriously
  52. GALON D’AMIRAL – Returns to a track he appreciates after finishing 7th of 12 in a 2700m Class D at Lyon-La Soie late last month, but still seems to have his work cut out
Summary: Yet to be bested when barefoot, and authoritative winner over shorter here last month, JE TE CHERCHE (13) is forced to incur the penalty this time but is still going to take all the beating. 25m better off, and fresh for his hat-trick bid, IFALCO DE MAY (6) will be no easy touch if his driver keeps him focused. Barefoot for his Mauquenchy debut, JINGLE LOVER (12) takes a significant dip in category and even with an extra 25m to run, can play a prominent role. Nicely-engaged and clearly close to winning a second of the year, JAGUAR DU FAN (17) is unlikely to be far off the mark.

  54. LOOK DES CAILLONS – Encouraging 4th of 6 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class F a fortnight ago. Unlikely to paint the town red but can pick up some prizemoney if he takes to Mauquenchy profile
  55. L’EXCELLENT – Unexceptional type that finished 7th of 10 in a 2700m Graignes Class E last week and has a lot more to find
  56. LET IT SNOW – Made seasonal re-entry 2 weeks ago, running 2nd of 13 in a 2150m Class F here. In marginally better company this time but still looks the pick of the field
  57. LOVELY MILL – Tricky but useful sort making first appearance since being pulled-up in a 2275m Nantes Class D last September. Plainly in competition-mode and the engagement of a top driver will do his prospects no disservice. Chance
  58. LOHENGRIN – Never pushed when 5th of 7 finishers in a Class E over course and distance late-January. Freshly-configured for first objective of 2025 and Franck Ouvrie will be expecting to contest the finish
  59. L’AMI DANOVER – Has twice failed to make his mark this term, latterly last but one in a 2850m Laval Class E on Saturday. Shoes fitted this time but still backs up with limited prospects
  60. LAPIN AGILE – Unraced since finishing 9th of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D last August. Is not without merit but would be preferred racing clockwise and will need the run
Summary: The winter spell appears to have done the trick for LET IT SNOW (4) who made a good return to competition here a fortnight ago; he will have progressed for the run and looks thoroughly capable of losing his maiden tag. Anthony Barrier will nevertheless want to be wary of a competitively-shod LOHENGRIN (6) who got the lay of the land here late-January, and the returning LOVELY MILL (5) who has hind shoes off and François Lagadeuc reining for the first time.

  66. LOLLIPOP DU CEBE – A winner in a class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne over 2775m on 20 September. A consistent sort who was last seen in September and might need this run

  68. LAYLA SONIA – Finished 7th in a class E at Vincennes over 2175m on 21 January. New to the stable of Sébastien Guarato. Benjamin Rochard will give every assistance from the sulky. Good chance
  69. LOLITA DES LANDES – A runner-up in a class F at Argentan over 2150m on 25 January. Improved latest effort and this will be the third run-back. Can be involved in the finish
  70. LADY STARLIGHT – A runner-up in a class F at this track over 2150m on 22 January. Remains barefoot and can go one better
  71. LISON DES GLENAN – Finished 7th in a class E at Saint-Brieuc over 2575m on 6 December. This is the third run-back and can contest the finish being fitter this time
Summary: LAYLA SONIA (8) did not run too badly at Vincennes and improvement is expected having her first run for trainer Sébastien Guarato. She gets a narrow choice in a very difficult race. LADY STARLIGHT (10) bounced back to form when barefoot last time out and remains unshod so can go one better. LORETTE UP STAR (3) has improved since going unshod and should be a threat yet again. LISON DES GLENAN (11) should be fitter this time so could improve.
