  5. NUIT DE L’HOMME – 4th on his latest start over 2000m at Marseille Borely on October 22nd in a maiden. He might find a few too smart
  6. GRECIAN DESTINY – Promise when he was 6th on debut at this track over 1500m on January 13th. He will be sharper for that experience and can feature
  7. MOMO D’ARGENT – 7th on debut at this track in a maiden on January 13th over 1500m. He ran very green on debut and a better performance can be expected
  8. LE MANHATTAN – Two unplaced runs since a 2nd over 1400m at Prague (CZE) in a conditions race on November 9th. Unlikely to be a threat
    Summary: GRECIAN DESTINY (6) has the benefit of having raced at this track last month, where he acquitted himself well. He will strip fitter for that run and will improve from that experience. He is preferred to GIACOMO (3) who has done nothing wrong in two starts at this track, he can give a good account of himself. MOMO D’ARGENT (7) was seventh in the same race as the main selection on debut, he will play a more prominent role this time. MUNGASHA (1) heads the remainder.

    Summary: CHARLESQUINT (2) is trying a longer trip after two runs over 2000m at this track, a win, and a decent second on his latest outing. He has changed stables and Hugo Boutin now rides. If he stays, he looks like the most likely winner. VEREMOS (10) was back in fifth in the same race as the former 12 days ago, he has recent placed form over this distance and looks like the main threat. TOROSENTADO (8) will stay and is the each-way angle. FORBIDDEN SECRET (1) is also one to consider.

  22. NOCE DE RUBIS – 6th on her latest start over track and trip in a maiden race on January 15th. She might find this difficult
  23. GOLD DAYDREAM – Fair 5th over 1200m at Dundalk (IRL) on her latest start on November 29th. She has changed stables and is up in trip for the first time. One for the shortlist
  24. IMAYA – Two unplaced runs, the latest over 1350m at Lyon Parilly on June 1st last year. Unlikely to feature on the return from a layoff
  25. GRECIAN COMET – Ran with promise when 5th over 1500m at this track on her sole start on January 13th. She will know more this time and is one to keep safe
  26. ALMAROMY – Ran well to be 2nd over track and trip last time out in a maiden on February 3rd. She can not be overlooked
  27. LA CONSENTIDA – Three good efforts over this track, 2nd on each of them. Her latest was over 1300m on February 12th, she looks honest and can get off the mark this time
  28. ANONYMA – Two placed efforts of late, 4th on the most recent over 1500m at this track on February 3rd. Needs a few to misfire
  29. GONEWITHWIND – Unraced by Goken, the dam ran three times. From a respected stable. She will likely need this run for experience and is best watched in the betting for clues
    Summary: LA CONSENTIDA (9) seems honest. She can race a tad keen in the early stages. Her latest two second-placed efforts have been over 1300m, and back up to 1500m today could be key. She is a marginal choice ahead of GOLD DAYDREAM (5), who was fifth on her latest start at Dundalk (IRL) on the PSF over 1200m and should stay this extra distance. ALMAROMY (8) is one for the each-way backers to latch on to. GRECIAN COMET (7) shaped with promise on debut and can be involved.

  45. INDIAN PACIFIC – Recent win over 1600m at this track in a Class 3 handicap on February 5th. He needs a few rivals to falter
    Summary: JOSEPHINO (5) ran well in a Listed race when fifth over track and trip 6 days ago and was a pleasing third in a Class 1 race over the same journey in late January on his penultimate start when beaten in a three-way photo finish. He probably has the most to fear from TUMBLER (4) who is reasonably well handicapped and was beaten narrowly over 1500m at this track 12 days ago. NOBLEMAN (3) warrants respect and can feature. NADELIA (14) is also one to consider.

POSAFOLIE (5) is holding steady form and should produce a solid effort. NEW WAY BABY (8) is seldom far off the action and looks to have a place chance.

    Summary: SONNAZ (7) produced a career best effort when 2nd at his latest outing and should be right in the thick of things once again. WEEMAGATEE (8) dead-heated to win and shed her maiden tag. She has a nice low mass which will assist and there is every reason to believe that she could threaten once again. MISS DU CHAUFFOUR (9) is improving with racing and should continue to progress in this contest. CAMELOR (1) could represent all the value in this event despite having to concede weight all round and is one that needs to be included.

    Summary: OISSEL (1) ran a cracker last time out and arrives with a decent pull at the weights with the winner that day. She should have every chance of getting it right. SOAN (6) is well treated at the weights and looks to have a lively chance of going one better than he did last time out. He has the right credentials and will be in the firing lines. D DAY MAN (2) made it back to back wins and now goes in search of a hat-trick but life has been made tougher with a couple weight reversals which could turn the tide. ANDINO (16) slots in with a very light weight and could be dangerous if allowed to roll forward.

    Summary: WOFF (6) has had to play second fiddle at his last two outings but with a bit of luck in transit, he could get his head in front for a deserved victory. IRBIS (8) hasn’t been to consistent recently but has produced some cracking efforts which should see him running well. LETTY’S MARVEL (13) was just behind the top two choices and there shouldn’t be a lot to choose between them. SI CAPO SI (16) has been a consistent performer and should be in the firing line.

  1. MARIOLE – Qualified in 1’19″3 at Meslay-du-Maine last June. Has been afforded time to come into himself and is not incapable of playing a leading role first time out
  2. MAYFAIR – Qualified in 1’19″9 at Laval last August. Is unlikely to get off the mark but has the wherewithal to make his presence felt
  3. MELBA LA HURETRY – Posted 1’18″7 in Laval qualification 11 days ago but faces a tougher test on racecourse bow
  4. MILADY WIND – Set off no fireworks when winning her qualification at Caen mid-November but has bags of potential and an important part to play here
  5. MELODY DE BENOISE – Looked very ordinary when last of 9 in a 2700m Machecoul Class F 3 weeks ago and is not about to cause an upset
  6. MANNINEN SEVEN – Debuted nicely last Sunday when 3rd of 10 in a 2200m Pontchateau Class F. Will have progressed for the run and has a realistic chance of getting his nose in front
  7. MAESTRO KADESH – Failed to confirm promising debut when sanctioned early in a Class E under these conditions 8 days ago, but can still get a look-in if he gets off on the right foot
  8. MISS DE LA FERME – Solid 3rd of 13, first time out, in a Class F over course and distance on 8 December. Has not been seen since but will be fresh and will have a claim on the silverware
  9. MISS SCARLET – Sanctioned on debut in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 18 January and in this company has no possible chance
  10. MY QUEEN BLUE – Gave a surprisingly-good account on debut when 3rd of 8 in a 2850m Laval Class F 2.5 weeks ago. In better company this time though and others preferred
  11. MAYA DU LANDREAU – Qualified nicely during the autumn before running 2nd of 8 in a 2375m Challans Class F on debut a fortnight ago and deserves to be taken seriously
    Summary: Given ample time to recuperate following a very good debut here in early-December, MISS DE LA FERME (8) will logically have come on for the run and can get off the mark this time. She does however take on the colts who are well-represented by MANNINEN SEVEN (6) whose own debut at Pontchateau did not go unnoticed, and the smartly-bred MARIOLE (1) who hails from a stable with excellent juvenile credentials. MAYA DU LANDREAU (11) takes on a better bunch than she did at Challans but is well-engaged and can challenge for a place in the frame.

  13. LEDORIKA – Unexceptional sort that was sanctioned in a 2275m Class F here 8 days ago and has other priorities
  14. LIBERTY CASH – 2nd of 12 in a 2700m Machecoul Class G 3 weeks ago. Has turned a corner since starting to race with front pads and from the front row can give this a good go
  15. LIBERTINE DE CHENU – Sanctioned here a month back before winning a 2900m Challans Class G a fortnight ago. Unlikely to spring a surprise but is not going to be far from the action either
  16. LYRIC – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 2 January and even though reconfigured, is not easy to recommend
  17. LOVELY JIM – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 13 in a 2275m Class E here late-October. Arguably better racing right-handed but worth retaining all the same
  18. LALEXANE BLUE – Surprising 4th of 8 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Incurs the penalty but still looks good enough to make first 5
  19. LESDY MAGODA – Makes first appearance since finishing 12th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last October. Hind shoes off but handed the penalty and is going to need the run
  20. LUCRECE DE CORDAY – 4th of 11 in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class E on re-entry 2.5 weeks ago. Has other priorities and is unlikely to leave much of a mark

    Summary: Although sanctioned here recently, LOBELYNE NEW LIFE (11) showed her form in Paris earlier in the month, is ideally-engaged, and can win this. That said, the similarly-well-entered LIBERTE CERISE (10) was rewarded with victory last time out and will be expected to contest the finish, as will the better-positioned LOVELY DEVOL (1) who has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time, and LIBERTY CASH (3) who placed here a month ago before repeating at Machecoul 12 days later.

    Summary: Although yet to live up to his name, LE CONQUERANT (2) returns to the venue of his promising debut and, sporting pads for first time, will be reunited with Benjamin Rochard who was in the bike that day. Thoroughly professional in both public starts, LEADER DE HOUELLE (9) is back fresh for the new season and even though 25m worse off, can still put up a fight. LAUVERGNIER (8) enjoys a much better entry and with hind shoes off will be no pushover. Reunited with Eric Raffin for his seasonal re-entry, LEADER BOURBON (1) can make a big splash if focused.

    Summary: Although never far from faulting, and unseen since last summer, KARLA MELODY (7) is shod to preference for her much-awaited return to the track and, if applied, should have this in the bag.   69. KALINE D’ARDENNES – Third in a class F at Chateaubriant over 2300m on 3 February. Seldom far off them and has performed well on this track. Can be in the mix
  70. KAVALE DE BOLERO – Disqualified in a class F at Chateaubriant over 2300m on 3 February. Remains barefoot. Tony Le Beller will give every assistance from the sulky
  71. KASPIENNE – Disqualified in a class F at La Capelle over 2750m on 3 November. Might need the run and needs to find a few lengths
    Summary: KUTARA MICHE (6) is clearly unreliable but she did run well at Graignes last time out and this is a target race for her so she gets a narrow vote to score barefoot this time. KALLISTE CODIE (8) has been better over further generally speaking but did run well in her penultimate start around this distance and is not out of it. KAVALE DE BOLERO (13) won her penultimate start and has a winning chance. KOCAINE BOND (11) has won at this track and is another to consider.

    Summary: INCOGNITO (9) has an impressive record in this division. He has also won over this track and trip so should be hard to oppose in this lucky last race. HORSE DE GRAMMONT (10) is capable of being a threat at this level. ILLICO PANTE (11) is very consistent so is sure to be competitive in this line-up. IDAHO CARTERY (7) is likely to improve and can make the frame.
