R1 SAINT-CLOUD [L-H]

C1 – PRIX OMNIUM II – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Listed Race – Flat – EUR € 55,000

  1. BATAL YOUMZAIN – Showed what he is capable of with a Conditions race victory at Chantilly over 1600m on 10 December. Returns from a break but has a winning chance
  2. DREAMLINER – Clearly talented and was third last time out in a Listed race at Chantilly over 1800m on 26 October. Returns from a break but should fight out the finish
  3. NESTHORN – A good winner on debut and followed that up with a runner-up performance in a Group 3 at ParisLongchamp over this distance on 12 September. Can go one better returning from a lengthy break
  4. MADERO – A winner of two of his four starts, including last time out at in a Listed race at Lyon-Parilly over this distance on 11 September. Not out of it in this line-up
  5. DARIUS CEN – Showed promise on debut and followed that up with a good win in a Conditions race at Clairefontaine-Deauville over this distance on 22 October. Tackles stronger but deserves some respect
    Summary: A small fied but a decent race. NESTHORN (3) returns from a break but does set the standard for the race. He was runner-up in a Group 3 in September and can go one better this time. BATAL YOUMZAIN (1) returns from a short break but was impressive in his win in December and can double up. DARIUS CEN (5) is improving and would not be a surprise winner. MADERO (4) picked up a Listed race last time out and can shine again.

  7. DARING PRINCE – Showed his best side when scoring in a Listed race at Lyon-Parilly over 2400m on 8 November. Even better this distance and is not out of it
  8. COMME QUOI – Ultra-consistent and was victorious last time out in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 2 February. Tackles stronger but could earn some money
  9. FIRST LOOK – Clearly talented and was third last time out in a Listed race at Chantilly over 1800m on 26 October. Returns from a break but should fight out the finish
  10. MAP OF STARS – A winner of three of his four starts, including last time out in a Listed race at Chantilly over this distance on 26 October. Has a winning chance
    Summary: FIRST LOOK (4) has let his surpporters down since finishing second last year in the French Derby. Jockey Mickael Barzalona does duty and he can recoup recent losses. Stable companion SEVENNA’S KNIGHT (1) completes a very strong hand for trainer André Fabre. This colt has been kept over further recently but did finish 5th in Arc de Triomphe last year and would not be a surprise winner this distance. MAP OF STARS (5) and DARING PRINCE (2) are clearly talented and will not go down without a fight.

  13. MOTION – Victorious in a conditions race at Chantilly over 2700m on 21 February. Capable of earning some money
  14. CHELSEA DU NINIAN – Runner up in a handicap race at Toulouse over 2400m on 11 November. Has shown improvement but has room to improve. Others are preferred this time
  15. ROYAUMONT – Runner-up in a claimer atChantilly over 1900m on 27 February. Needs to do more to beat these rivals this time around
  16. IL CAPO – Hat-trick seeking after some solid wins, with the latest being in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over this distance on 10 February. Carries a 3kg penalty but has winning chance
  17. ROUDOUDOU – Returned to form and was third in a handicap at this track over 2000m on 6 March. Can be competitive in this line-up
  18. ORLHENA – Finished third in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 7 March. Might play a minor role at very best
  19. BIBBIENA – In very good form and was third last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over 2700m on 28 February. Be right there at the finish
  20. DSCHINGIS RANGER – Finished 6th last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over 2700m on 28 February. Better on the turf and can contest the finish
  21. FREEZE – Disappointing last run when 7th in a handicap at Chantilly over 2700m on 28 February. Capable of an upset back on the turf
  22. POTE – Finished fourth in a handicap over this track and trip 15 November. Unreliable and others are preferred this time
  23. SKIMBLESHANKS – Finished runner-up in a claimer at Marseille-Borély over 2000m on 17 February. Has shown improvement but is on a long losing streak
  24. TURANIA – Disappointing last run when 6th in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over this distance on 25 February. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  25. MEHLANGO – Finished 12th in a handicap at this track over 2000m on 6 March. Needs major improvement to win this race
  26. NARCOS – Unreliable but was third last time out in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over this distance on 25 February. Not out of it
    Summary: IL CAPO (6) is in a purple patch of rom. He will need to overcome two penalties to complete a hat-trick but makes a long trip for this race. DSCHINGIS RANGER (10) will enjoy being back on the turf and is likely to be a serious threat this track and trip. ROUDOUDOU (7) produced a good effort at this track earlier this month and can contest the finish again. BIBBIENA (9) is in very good shape and is clearly not out of it.NARCOS (16) generally goes well at the track and can get a look in.

  29. GRAND TERROIR – Showed some improvement in his second start when third in a Conditions race over this track and trip on 15 November. Can contest the finish again
  30. DARK SECRET – Showed talent on debut when runner-up in a Conditions race over this course and distance on 20 September. Can go one better returning from a break
  31. ZINGARO – Finished fourth on debut in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1900m on 14 February. Should fight out the finish
  32. SPANISH BREEZE CEN – Only found one better on the day on debut, in a Conditions race at Deauville over 1500m on 29 November. Tries further but should be very competitive in this line-up
  33. GOLDEN ALQA – Returns from a break but she did run well on debut when third in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1600m on 21 September. Should contest the finish
  34. TOP TOWN TELL TALE – A three-year-old colt by Recoletos out of Atarfe who is making his debut. Watch the betting
    Summary: A very competitive-looking race. CUALIFICAR (2) showed enough in his two starts last year to get the vote to score. He returns from a break and steps up in distance but can score. More was expected from DALAKIR (1) on debut. That was on the PSF and he is likely to do a lot better on the turf this time. ZINGARO (5) showed promise on debut and has a winning chance. SPANISH BREEZE CEN (6) can go one better this time stepping up in distance.

  36. BLOWN BY THE WIND – Did not show her best when 6th in a Group 3 at Deauville over this distance on 21 October. Could do a lot better this time around returning from a break
  37. SHAKY NAK – Very consistent so far and was runner-up last time out in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1500m on 2 February. Has a place chance tackling tougher this time
  38. DAMARA – Consistent so far in Germany and was runner-up at Hanovre over 1400m on 27 October. Can earn some more money tackling tougher
  39. FLAMING STONE – Held her form last year and was fourth last time out in a Group 3 at Newmarket over 1400m on 10 August. Returns from a break but has a winning chance
  40. GLAMIS ROAD – A winner of two of her four starts so far, including last time out in a Listed race at this track over 1400m on 10 November. Be right there at the finish
  41. GOLDAUE – Showed ability in Germany and was fourth at Baden-Baden last time out over this distance. Could contest the finish
  42. IRON BIRD – Holding her form well and finished third last time out in a Listed race at this track over 1400m on 10 November. Can fight out the finish
    Summary: IRON BIRD (8) was behind rival GLAMIS ROAD (6) when they met at this track in November. Both are returning from a break but have shown promise and can fight out the finish. GOLDAUE (7) was not disgraced in her performances in Germany and would not be a surprise winner. FLAMING STONE (5) did not really produce the goods in the UK last year but can be a threat to these rivals.

  45. ZAGOR – Returned to form with a win in a Conditions race at Strasbourg over 2000m on 11 November. Returns from a break and tackles stronger this time
  46. PONDERADO – Consistent so far and was not disgraced when fourth in a Group 3 at Chantilly over 1800m on 21 September. Returns from a break but should contest the finish
  47. SIRIUS BROWN – Well beaten on the turf on debut but has won his next two starts, with the latest being in a Conditions race at Deauville over 1900m on 31 January. Not out of it
  48. INSTANT FRAGILE – Unbeaten in two starts, with the latest being in a Listed race at Marseille-Borely over 1700m on 30 October. Returns from a break but can complete a hat-trick
  49. UTHER – Looked good when scoring on debut in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1900m on 12 November. Capable of following up returning from a break
  50. WITHOUT – Victorious on debut in a Conditions race at Deauville over 1900m on 17 January. Tries the turf but deserves respect
    Summary: AIDAN’S PHONE (2) is clearly improving and impressed in both wins at Cagnes-sur-Mer. He does look the one they all have to beat. INSTANT FRAGILE (6) is unbeaten in two starts last year but is returning from a break and his fitness will need to be taken on trust. WITHOUT (8) looked good when scoring on debut on the PSF but is not out of it. UTHER (7) won well on debut and could be anything.

    Summary: A very competitove-looking handicap. MARTIAL ART (8) continues to hold form and should be right there at the finish yet again. BARBADIN (5) showed improvement over this distance at Cagnes-sur-Mer last month and has an obvious winning chance. GOOD QUESTION (12) threatened a victory over this track and trip earlier this month and can go one better. CLICCLIC PANPANPAN (13) is in good shape and can make the frame.

    Summary: ZRYAN (1) continues to improve and has a decent shot at taking out this lucky last race. He has to carry a 3kg penalty for his latest win. LONDON ROYAL (5) is always competitive and can challenge for top honours yet again. CALAS (8) has won over this track and trip and is clearly not out of it. SAINT AQUILIN (7) returns from a break but does have a winning chance as well.

  3. REAL DES ROCS – 7th last time, 3rd before that over 4600m in a Class 3 cross-country race at Cluny on October 5th. Capable of being competitive
  4. DARK WOOD – 4th last time out over 4600m at Cluny in a Class 4 cross-country on April 13th, 2024. Might need this run after an absence
  5. BRUNCH ROYAL – Two unplaced runs since a 4th over 5000m in a cross-country at Merano (ITA) on September 1st. Opposable
  6. BELABRA – Fair 3rd at Argentan in a Class 4 chase on March 1st over 4250m. Cross-country debut and others make more appeal
    Summary: IRONIE DU LAC (1) ran well in a Class 2 cross-country when fourth at this track in late November and is preferred over MARE SOL (2) who failed to finish last time in a cross-country but has placed form before that over regulation fences. REAL DES ROCS (3) was third on his penultimate start at Cluny in early October in a Class 3 cross-country race and can make the frame.

  16. GRAINE DE BEAUTE – Shaped well to be 3rd at Angers over 3800m in a Class 3 handicap chase on February 26th. One to consider
  17. KAPWOOD – 5th last time out, 2nd before that over 4100m at this track on November 23rd in a handicap chase. Outside place contender
    Summary: GIACOSA (3) is a useful performer on his day and was placed in a Listed hurdle and a Grade 3 hurdle last Spring at Auteuil. His last start was encouraging: he was second in a handicap hurdle at Cagnes-Sur-Mer, and he can score on his chase debut. FIRST DREAM (4) was back in third in the Cages-Sur-Mer race and looks a threat. He is also on his chase debut. KEEP CALM DARIYAN (9) has experience over fences and warrants respect. GRAINE DE BEAUTE (10) heads the rest.

  22. UNDENIABLE ALIBI – He won at Ayr (GBR) over 4800m in a chase on January 20th when last seen. A winner over hurdles last year when trained in Ireland
  23. BALMORAL – 5th last time over 3600m at Auteuil in a Class 2 hurdle on March 3rd, 2024. Off the track for over a year and might need this outing
  24. FILE AU POTEAU – Three decent runs of late, 2nd over 3500m at Auteuil in a handicap chase on December 8th on his last start. One to keep safe
  25. GAYLORD – 2nd on his only run in 2022 at Nimes in a Class 4 hurdle over 3900m. Faces a stiff task on his return run after over two years off
  26. STERNKRANZ – 3rd over 3800m in a handicap chase at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on January 7th on his last start. Others make more appeal
  27. PETIT ANDRE – Two wins so far, he won on the flat in June and then won on his hurdles debut on September 10th, 2023. He has a long absence to overcome but can be involved if fit to go
  28. KARMIX – Unplaced last time out, she won before that over 3400m in a Class 3 chase at this track on October 20th. Others seem more likely
    Summary: ALWAYS LOVE YOU (1) won over fences at Pau in late January and should have no issues on his return to hurdles. He can score from KALEB (3) who won over hurdles at Market Rasen (GBR) last May and was fifth on his latest start in mid-September over hurdles. He making his French debut. UNDENIABLE ALIBI (5) won at Ayr (GBR) on his last start over fences last September when trained in Ireland. He can make things interesting on his French debut. FILE AU POTEAU (7) is also worth considering.

  34. LOUSTIC DE CIERGUE – 7th last time out, he won before that over 2400m at Lignieres on November 30th on the flat. Second run over hurdles and has work to do
  35. GIVRY – Unplaced on the one run over hurdles at Fontainebleau over 3550m in a Class 4 race on February 25th. Opposable
  36. TANTE ZENA – Unraced filly by Doctor Dino, the dam was placed on the flat. Bred to do well over jumps and any market support should be noted
  37. LA NORMANDIE – Unraced by Masked Marvel, the dam ran a few times over hurdles. She will be well prepared and is one to keep safe on her hurdles bow
  38. L’AMIE LARISSA – Placed and a win on the flat on her second start over 2800m in a maiden at Compiegne on October 11th. Hurdles debut and looks promising
    Summary: L’AMIE LARISSA (10) won on the flat at Compiegne on her second start in October last year. She will have no issues with the trip on her debut over hurdles and will be well-schooled. KIND OF MIX (1) failed to finish over fences last time but was third over hurdles before that. He can be expected to be involved.   60. LOCMARIA JEWEL – Tricky element making first appearance since running 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2400m Class E at Nort-sur-Erdre mid-September. Is no slouch but is going to need the run
  61. LIYAVA – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly when going well in a 2850m Laval Class E 2.5 weeks ago. On better behaviour though will have a realistic chance of getting her nose in front
  62. LYALYA – Starts for first time since running 4th of 15 in a 2350m Angers Class F in early-December. Always gives her best but appears to be out of her depth this time
  63. LELIZIA – Sanctioned here on 13 February before coming 5th of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class E a fortnight later. Can trot when focused and should not be ruled out
  64. LOVA DE LA COUR – Has not been seen out since faulting, when full of running, in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 6 December. Is plainly in competition-mode and, if applied, could pleasantly surprise
  65. LA BELLE DE BEYLEV – Close 4th of 14 behind LILIBETH SMART (9) in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 25 February. Not always the easiest to manage but in current condition is easy to like for a step on the podium
  66. LILIBETH SMART – 3rd of 14 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 25 February. Has done nothing but progress since last October’s debut and looks the pick of the field
  67. LIPINSKA – Last of 12, on return from a break, in a 2450m Caen Class D on 3 March and is not about to set off any fireworks
  68. LOLITA DES LANDES – Unexceptional 6th of 11 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 19 February and would be preferred racing clockwise
  69. LILLY LOVE – Tricky sort that was sanctioned early in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 18 February. Never far from breaking stride but should finish in the mix if she keeps her action together
    Summary: LILIBETH SMART (9) has shown significant aptitude when sporting front pads, ran a good race late last month, and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike, can open her 2025 account. A place behind her that day, LA BELLE DE BEYLEV (8) is clearly on the right road and looks dangerous. David Thomain will be reining LIYAVA (4) here and she will not be far from the action if he manages to keep her trotting. Nicely-engaged and 3rd of 13 last time here, LILLY LOVE (12) should have a good hand to play.

  71. MENDES DE JED – 5th of 9 finishers in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel last weekend, but still has a lot more to find
  72. MASSOURY – Showed his form after being sanctioned in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel last Sunday. Handed an excellent draw and can wrap this up if Gauthier Baudouin manages to keep him trotting
  73. MOLSHEIM – Confirmed his modest debut when last but one in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class F on 24 January and can be ignored
  74. MALOU DU BOIS – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2050m Cabourg Class D on 2 January. Trainer-jockey combination was victorious in 2024 but looks to have no more than an outside chance this time
  75. MIRAGE DE KARMEL – Sanctioned in three before running 6th of 11 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche 3 weeks ago. Is plainly capable though and, with stride in check, can play a leading role
  76. MASSILIO BLOND – Well-supported when sanctioned on career bow in a 2500m Class F at La Rochelle last Sunday. Breaks wide but can make amends if he gets off on the right foot
  77. MAGIC FADO – Made numerous faults on debut when 9th of 15 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F earlier in the month. Gets a leading pilot this time and, despite the draw, will be competitive at the business end of the race
  78. MORE MAJORUM – Untried colt that qualified in 1’20″0 at Caen last summer. Has had time to come into himself and, while forced to start on 2nd line, still looks an interesting proposition first time out
  79. MANCHESTER SPORT – Qualified in 1’20″7 last October at Caen. Is unlikely to shake things up but should have the wherewithal to make first 5
    Summary: MASSOURY (3) may have yet to finish a race with his stride intact but he nevertheless left a fine impression at Le Mont-Saint-Michel last weekend and on better behaviour can impose. Yoann Lebourgeois gets the nod on MAGIC FADO (8) who will have found his feet at Cherbourg. MIRAGE DE KARMEL (6) showed promise recently and the engagement of François Lagadeuc will only work to his advantage. Quickly sanctioned first time out, MASSILIO BLOND (7) nonetheless looks a decent sort in the making and Florian Prioul will be eager to put things right.

  82. LANDO – Capricious type making monté debut after faulting in a 2625m Cherbourg harness Class G a fortnight back. Is not devoid of ability though and can pick up a cheque if he stays in stride
  83. LUCKY MACKER – Last of 6 finishers when unsupported in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E late-January and can be confidently ruled out
  84. LUCIANO DU FER – Sanctioned in a 2700m Machecoul Class G on 2 March. Races shod this time and will have few friends
  85. LIEGE – Takes first competitive ridden steps after coming 6th of 12 in a 2500m Class H at Bihorel-lès-Rouen and is not about to cause an upset
  86. LAVATER GEDE – Tricky character that was going well when sanctioned in a 2550m Reims Class F on 2 March and can set the record straight if Noé Perron keeps him trotting
  87. LYPHARD DELF – Surprise 2nd of 9 in a 2450m Caen Class F 6 days ago. Is never far from faulting but a similar effort would see him challenge for the prize
  88. LE COQUIN – Back under the saddle after finishing last but one, on return to competition, in a 2650m Laval Class F 10 days ago and is unlikely to spring any surprises
  89. LUCKY DU BOUFARD – Got off the mark at the first time of asking under the saddle, dominating a 2625m Cherbourg Class F a fortnight ago. Races here with morale intact and every chance of confirming
  90. LUIGI DU CLOS – Steps up in category after winning a 2700m Machecoul Class G a fortnight ago. Sports a new formula and will be expected to contest the finish
    Summary: Easy winner at Cherbourg after a lengthy absence, and on his first start under the saddle, LUCKY DU BOUFARD (10) races barefoot again and looks thoroughly capable of repeating. LUIGI DU CLOS (11) opened his account at Machecoul the same day and has been reconfigured for the occasion. LYPHARD DELF (8) showed marked improvement last Monday and has the wherewithal to finish close. The untried LOVIOU JOSSELYN (1) showed significant potential when qualifying and if as good in competition, can figure prominently.
