R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX IDUNNA – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000
- MARVELOUS PIYA – Sanctioned in both to date, most recently a 2150m Enghien Class D 10 days ago, and will have few friends
- MARQUISE DE MAGNY – Appreciated going left-handed when runner-up to MAYA D’AVRIL (5) in a 2700m Machecoul Class F on 2 March and will again be expected to hold her own
- MALICE DE FRECA – Made no bones about winning a 2700m Machecoul Class F on 2 February, first time out. Looks a good filly in the making and can double her money if she takes to the new profile
- MARIANNA – Comfortable winner of a 2225m Vire Class F on 9 February. Goes left-handed this time, with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike, and has a legitimate chance of confirming
- MAYA D’AVRIL – Looked thoroughly professional when winning a 2700m Machecoul Class F on 2 March, first time out. Franck Nivard at the helm this time and will assure her a competitive drive. Place chance
- MUSE DE MONTCEAU – Yet to get off the mark but always in the mix, most recently 3rd of 9 in a 2825m Cordemais Class E 3 weeks ago, and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
- MARIE JOSE LABELLE – Makes first appearance since finishing last of 12 behind MILLIONDOLLARSBABY (11) in a 2200m Class C here late-January and is unlikely to set off any fireworks
- MARELLA DALEO – Reassuring 3rd of 11 in a 2100m claimer here a month back but is being aimed too high this time
- MODE DU VALLON – Has not been seen out since running 5th of 8 in a 2200m ridden Class D here late-December and will have other priorities
- MARILOU – Simply flew up in a 2725m Graignes Class E mid-February. In better company this time but will still take all the beating
- MILLIONDOLLARSBABY – 7th of 9 in a 2700m Class C here on 17 February. Will prefer the day’s conditions but still not an obvious choice
- MYGIRL DES FORGES – Tough filly that got off the mark in a 2925m Cagnes Class E a month ago. Has a lot going for her here and her driver will be determined to make hay
Summary: After having made a solid debut at Angers in January, MARILOU (10) went on to rout the opposition at Graignes next time and has a realistic claim on the double. MYGIRL DES FORGES (12) benefits from a golden entry though and, entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois for the occasion, will not be easily bested. MARIANNA (4) met little opposition en route to victory on her Vire debut last month and can throw her hat into the ring, as can MALICE DE FRECA (3) who similarly made her career bow a victorious one.

C2 – PRIX ATE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - LORD DE BANVILLE – Sanctioned when unsupported in a Class B over track and trip 2 months ago. Has little going for him here and can be passed over
- LORD FROMENTRO – Won 3 in a row before finishing last but one, after an uneasy run, in a Class C under these conditions on 1 March. With stride in check though can trot his way back into the winners’ enclosure
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Won under these conditions late-December before being sent for a spell. 6th of 8 on re-entry in a 2850m Class B here late last month and barefoot from the 3-spot this time, will be expected to put things right
- LENSOIS DU DOLLAR – Last of 6 in a 2700m Class C at Lyon-La Soie 11 days ago and would be preferred under the saddle
- LE METEQUE – Disappointing here early this month before losing his action in a 2925m Cagnes Class A a week later. Cannot be considered a priority but is good enough to get a look-in
- L’ARC – Decent 5th of 7 finishers in a 2700m Class B here a month ago. Unlikely to have his day in the sun but has the ability to make first 5 once more
- LUGANO DE LOU – Runner-up twice before finishing a one-paced last of 7 behind L’ARC (6) in a 2700m Class B here a month back. Has had time to recalibrate and even though handed an unexceptional number, still looks a leading contender
- L’AMIRAL GAGNANT – Returns to Vincennes after clinching a 2700m Cagnes Class C early last month. Starts wide and is not about to secure the double but should nevertheless hold his own
- LE MAC – Last of 12 behind LE METEQUE (5) in a Class C under these conditions on 1 March. Is useful when focused though, races first-time barefoot, and will be worth keeping an eye on
- LITTLE DRAGON – Sanctioned but nevertheless showed significant promise in a Class C over course and distance on 1 March. On back row but in this small field can play a prominent role if applied
- LIBRE PENSEUR MEEK – Sanctioned in both since the break, most recently a 2900m Enghien claimer 10 days ago, and will have few takers
Summary: Remarkable course-and-distance winner last month, LORD FROMENTRO (2) showed a lack of discipline 3 weeks ago, but enjoys a good spot behind the car and can bring home the bacon if Clément Duvaldestin keeps him focused. LUGANO DE LOU (7) is significantly better than his recent run would suggest and is competitively-shod for the occasion. Better-positioned behind the car, L’ECRIN D’OR (3) will have come on for his return run and goes barefoot for the first time. The complicated LITTLE DRAGON (10) showed a different side to himself here 3 weeks ago and can make his mark if Damien Bonne manages to keep him trotting.

C3 – PRIX DE TRAPPES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - JASMIN DHELPA – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 9 in a 2750m Toulouse Class F on 6 December and is going to need the race
- JUSQUINE FOUTEAU – 4th of 11 finishers when preparing for this in a 2800m Vire Class E early this month. Well-positioned on front line and, barefoot this time, must be considered a player
- JAMAIS – Comes here on a hat-trick after completing the double in a 2875m Enghien Class E a week ago. Has a lot going for him here and has a reasonable chance of pulling off the hat-trick
- JINA FOUTEAU – 8th of 11 finishers behind JUSQUINE FOUTEAU (2) when preparing for this in a 2800m Vire Class E early this month. Races barefoot with David Thomain in the bike and can get a look-in
- JALMAROSA – Starts for first time since finishing last but one in a 2175m Vincennes Class D early-January. Enjoys a fine engagement and will have her chances if focused
- JUJUBEE – Quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class D a fortnight ago but subsequently demonstrated her form. Has yet to show her full potential but can wrap this up if she gets off on the right foot
- JORIA MESLOISE – Showed marked improvement when 3rd of 15 in a Class D under these conditions on 9 February and on similar form can repeat
- JADE – 4th of 16 in a Class D under these conditions early-February. Has been knocking at the door lately but in this company looks more a first-5 prospect
- JALOUSIE MAZA – Back under harness after running 5th of 10 in a 2450m Caen monte Class G a fortnight ago. Races first-time barefoot but the draw will do her no favours
- JOYAU DE BELLANDE – Returns to racing barefoot after running 8th of 10 finishers in a 2950m Toulouse Class F 2 weeks ago. Barefoot for re-entry but breaks from the rear and chances limited
- JUST D’ACADIE – Tricky but useful type making first appearance since faulting in a 2700m Class E here on 4 December. Shod for the occasion though and best to wait
- JOPLIN DES CROUAS – Sanctioned early in a 2875m Meslay Class E on Tuesday. Is not devoid of ability but backs up with limited prospects
- JOYAU BLUE – Has not put a foot wrong since the turn of the year, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 3000m Nantes Class E a month ago. Handed a tough draw but still has the wherewithal to pick up some prizemoney
Summary: Bought of the Prix d’Amérique sales for 60,000 Euros, the well-related JUJUBEE (6) makes just her second start for the Duvaldestin yard but, from the 6-spot, can impose if Clément assures her initial strides. Starting just to her inner, JALMAROSA (5) races barefoot on her first appearance since the spell and, nicely-engaged, will be no easy touch. JORIA MESLOISE (7) reassured here early last month and Mathieu Mottier gets the nod this time. JAMAIS (3) has been handed an enviable number and Eric Raffin will be intent on securing the double.

C4 – PRIX ENCELADUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KOWEIT DE CHENU – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2450m Caen Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has ample ability but with shoes back on will have little to contribute
- KASSIDY KID – Pleasant 8th of 13 finishers behind KANKAN (6) in a 2150m Enghien Class D a fortnight back but still poses no danger
- KANCALAIS – 6th of 11, on first start for 7 months, in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E a fortnight ago and is expected to need another outing
- KRACKER PIYA – Failed to confirm December success when sanctioned in 8 February race of reference. Takes on better this time but keeps on progressing and must not be overlooked
- KRUGER DU NORD – Lost his action when going well in a Class D over track and trip earlier last month. Is plainly better than most here and will be dangerous if Yoann Lebourgeois keeps him focused
- KANKAN – Respectable 5th of 17 in a 2150m Enghien Class D a fortnight back. Shod as he was here last month and is not going to be far off the mark
- KOQUERY DU BUISSON – Has not been seen out since winning a Class D over course and distance early-November. Has never failed to fire for his driver and is not about to change his ways. First 5
- KENZO DU MONT – 5th of 10 finishers behind KASH DES RIOULTS (11) in a Class D under these conditions early last month. In this company though is unlikely to repeat
- KHAN D’HERIPRE – Pleasant but unthreatening 6th of 9 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class D on 17 February and is not about to cause an upset
- KISMET – Last of 13 when preparing for this in a 2700m Class D at Lyon-La Soie on 10 March. Has a lot going for him here and already has form with his driver. Place prospect
- KASH DES RIOULTS – Ran 3rd over course and distance before finishing a lacklustre 9th of 15 behind KENOR DESBOIS in a 2850m Class C here a month ago. Can be forgiven that run and gets another crack of the whip. Minor place prospect
- KELLOU DES BRUMES – Secured his first hat-trick when dominating a 2850m Class D here on 16 February. Well-engaged close to limit of earnings and is not incapable of confirming last month’s victory
- KENOR DESBOIS – 5th of 15 in a Class C over 2700m here a month ago, on first start since imposing at Bordeaux late-December. Stable could not have wished for a better entry and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to make hay
Summary: Complicated he might be but KENOR DESBOIS (13) has won twice over course and distance, enjoys a terrific engagement here and, barefoot for the first time, can get off the mark for 2025. He will still be opposed by the immensely talented KRUGER DU NORD (5) who was most unlucky here last month, and KELLOU DES BRUMES (12) who is in with a reasonable shout of pulling off the 4-timer. KISMET (10) makes just his 2nd appearance over the main track but racing barefoot with Mathieu Mottier in the bike will do his chances no disservice.

C5 – PRIX ALI HAWAS – ETRIER 3 ANS Q1 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - MELODY DE VIVOIN – Back under the saddle after finishing last of 7 in a 2150m Enghien harness Class D 10 days ago and can be passed over
- MAYA DES GENETS – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd of 7 to MELINDA DU LOISIR (3) a 2200m Class D here on 12 February, but has too much ground to make up
- MELINDA DU LOISIR – Opened her account on 12 February when securing a 2200m Class D here. Steps up in category but should nevertheless give an honourable account
- MANITAS DE TRUCHON – Was set to fight out the finish before faulting in latter stages of a 2200m Class B here 3 weeks ago, and Anthony Barrier will be minded to keep her more focused. First 5
- MALICE SPEED – Would have finished close in a 2850m harness Class B here late-February had she not faulted. Is confirmed in the code and has the potential to make a big splash
- MISS DES BESACES – No slouch in the code but will need to show considerable improvement on her 6th of 7 in race of reference
- MANAMA D’ORLY – Winner of a Class C under these conditions early last month before coming 4th in 14 February race of reference. At this level though, may just be taking on too much
- MALICE CAILLERIE – Handy sort that finished a closing 2nd of 7 finishers to MINA DRY (10) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Holly Du Locton here mid-February. Has already won over 2700m here and with application is not going to be far off the mark
- MADEMOISELLE JANE – Gave a good account on monte debut when 3rd to MINA DRY (10) in Valentine’s Day race of reference. Unlikely to spring any surprises but can still play an active role
- MINA DRY – Improving filly that stayed on well to win 2200m Gr.3 Prix Holly Du Locton here mid-February. Returns to Vincennes with morale intact and Alexis Collette will be eyeing a repeat
- MASINA DE TILLARD – Serious filly taking first competitive ridden steps after running 6th of 10 in a harness Gr.1 over course and distance on 16 February. Is here on her merits, with a leading rider aboard, and can impose
- MISTY GREEN – 3rd in a harness Gr.2 before finishing last but one behind MASINA DE TILLARD (11) in a harness Gr.1 over course and distance on 16 February. Is a serious trotter in the making and can strike at first time of asking
Summary: 6th in the Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson under harness here mid-February, MASINA DE TILLARD (11) makes the logical switch to the monte code and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons, can get straight down to business. Oddly below-par that day, MISTY GREEN (12) follows suit with the services of Eric Raffin having been engaged. MINA DRY (10) won the Gr.3 Prix Holly Du Locton in style and has earned the right to take her chances at this level. MALICE SPEED (5) is patently one for the future and will appreciate a return to the discipline.

C6 – PRIX CANOPUS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - IDAHO (SWI) – Tricky sort making first start since being sanctioned in a 2250m Enghien monte Class E last October. Barefoot but has other plans
- DOMINGO BAR – Was going well before being sanctioned in a Class D over course and distance a month ago. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and will be no easy touch if he keeps his charge trotting
- DEMETRIO – Reassuring 4th of 10 finishers behind HASHTAG SIMONI (6) in a Class D over track and trip on 23 February but faces a tougher task this time around
- JOLICOEUR – Better than his 3rd of 10 finishers in a Class D over course and distance a month ago would suggest. Is plainly close to his race and can impose
- DE GAULLE GRIF – Quality trotter that has not been seen out since finishing 11th of 15 in a 2100m Class C here late-October. Front pads fitted and poses no danger
- HASHTAG SIMONI – 3rd over 2850m before coming 2nd of 10 finishers in a Class D over course and distance a month ago, beating JOLICOEUR (4). In similar shape, can trot his way onto the podium
- OSCAR VAN HALBEEK – 4th of 14 in a 2850m Class C here on 28 February. Has never disappointed over 2700m here and can challenge for a place in the frame
- DIE HARD (ITY) – Won a Class D here on 17 February but lacklustre 10th of 14 behind OSCAR VAN HALBEEK (7) in a 2850m Class C here on 28 February. Is not the easiest to gauge but is not to be written off either
- IDEM DU PONT – 4th of 12, on return to competition, in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 2 weeks ago but can expect to be found wanting at the business end of affairs
- ILIO MANNETOT – Serious type that made up for Nantes blip when close 2nd in a 2850m Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Has won 4 of last 7 and should logically contest the finish
- MISTER INVICTUS – Seldom disappoints when focused, most recently 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class E 2 weeks ago. Enjoys a terrific entry and is not incapable of setting the cat among the pigeons
Summary: A host of good horses here but it is difficult to ignore how well JOLICOEUR (4) has been acquitting himself recently and he is due another win soon. HASHTAG SIMONI (6) finished just ahead of him last time out and should again figure prominently, but he may first have to defer to the reinvigorated ILIO MANNETOT (10) who has hardly put a foot wrong since the autumn. Consistently in the thick of things these days, OSCAR VAN HALBEEK (7) pleasantly surprised 3 weeks ago and must be taken more seriously.

C7 – PRIX FELICIEN GAUVREAU – ETRIER 3 ANS Q2 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - MILLESIME GRIFF – 2nd of 8 on debut in a 2250m Enghien Class D a fortnight back. Will have come on for the run and even though in better company this time, can still finish in first 5
- MYSTERE PERRINE – Steps up in category and debuts under the saddle after winning a 2825m Cordemais Class E 3 weeks ago but may just be biting off more than he can chew
- MAESTRO DE JOUDES – 3rd of 7 finishers to MESSI PASS (5) in a 2200m Class B here late last month but in this company will struggle to repeat
- MINDELO – 3rd of 8 to METEORE DE SIMM (6) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Edouard Marcillac here on 14 February. Is unproven over main track but has evident talent and is unlikely to disappoint
- MESSI PASS – Easily won a 2200m Class B here on 28 February after having run 4th in race of reference. Eric Raffin back in the saddle and will be expected to play a prominent part
- METEORE DE SIMM – Undefeated in 2 starts under the saddle, latterly winning 2200m Gr.3 Prix Edouard Marcillac with authority here on 14 February and will justifiably garner the lion’s share of support
- MHUM FLYNG – Won 2 over course and distance before running 2nd of 8 to METEORE DE SIMM (6) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Edouard Marcillac here on 14 February. Unlikely to beat Mottier’s colt but can nevertheless apply the pressure
Summary: Useful under harness but simply superb in the ridden discipline, METEORE DE SIMM (6) ran away with the Gr.3 Prix Edouard Marcillac here mid-February and a similar performance would see him win this. Runner-up to him that day, MHUM FLYNG (7) again looks the main threat. MESSI PASS (5) came 4th, just behind MINDELO (4), then opened his account 2 weeks later and will be expected to turn the tables.

C8 – PRIX MAIA – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - I LOVE YOU TEK – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2100m Class E here 2.5 months ago. 4 pads fitted for first time but others still easier to trust
- IALKO JENILAT – Facile winner of a 2800m Cholet Class F on 2 March. Takes on a better lot this time but will be barefoot for the occasion and from the front line can get in on the action
- HUMOUR D’HAUFOR – 3rd of 5 finishers in a 2900m Amiens ridden Class F on 5 March. Has other priorities and will have little to contribute
- IVOIRE DAIRPET – Sanctioned in 2 of last 3, latterly a 2800m Vire Class F on 2 March. Sports a new configuration but others still preferred
- ILTON DE BELLANDE – Quality element that ran 2nd of 14 in a 2050m Lyon-La Soie Class E 11 days ago, on first objective of the year. Eric Raffin reining for first time and is well-placed to give this a good go. First 5
- INDICE D’ARGENT – Imposed at Nantes late-January prior to running 4th of 15 in a 2700m Class E here on 12 February. Excels on the main track and the new configuration may be just the ticket
- GRAND VENT RUSH – Ran 3rd at Nantes before finishing 7th of 14 behind IQUEM D’AMER (9) in a 2850m Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Is no slouch in the right category but from the second row will have too much to do
- GISARO – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd of 14 in a 2700m Class E here late last month. Bought out of a claimer, he certainly has the wherewithal to win a race of this nature
- IQUEM D’AMER – Won 6 on the trot before coming 5th of 14, after a spell, in a 2850m Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Not ideally-entered but can finish closer if Franck Nivard keeps him out of trouble
- INSTANT D’HAUFOR – Clinched a 2100m Class D here on 6 February, 3 weeks before coming 5th of 15 behind GRAND ROI KALOUMA (15) in a 2100m Class D, also here. Has nothing to prove at this level and will be no pushover
- HINDEN – Last of 15, on first start for 5 months, in a 2750m Toulouse Class D a month ago. Barefoot this time but cannot be considered a priority
- HAUTBRION COLMI – Complicated but talented trotter making first start since being sanctioned in a 2875m Enghien Class C last April. Barefoot for comeback but is likely to be race-rusty
- GAMIN DES ISLES – Comfortable winner over course and distance a month ago, a week before running 4th of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class D. Goes well for her driver and even from the 2nd row should not be underestimated
- GOLD D’ECROVILLE – Lost his action in a 2800m Pontchateau Class D 2 weeks ago. Has previously imposed over track and trip but chances slim this time around
- GRAND ROI KALOUMA – Valiant 2nd of 15 in a 2100m Class D here on 26 February, having been sanctioned when on course for victory earlier in the month. In marginally better company this time but must still be considered a contender
- FINGER DES BORDES – 2nd of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class D a fortnight ago. Races shod this time though and best to hold off
Summary: At ease under these conditions, clearly in form, and wonderfully-entered on the front row, GISARO (8) looks thoroughly capable of winning his first race for almost 2.5 years. INDICE D’ARGENT (6) though is hard to ignore when focused and sports front pads for the first time. 25m worse off but winner of 3 of his last 6, INSTANT D’HAUFOR (10) has form under these conditions and is easy to like. Reunited with JMB, who won with him a month ago, GAMIN DES ISLES (13) must be considered a player. GRAND ROI KALOUMA (15) was most unlucky early-February before coming close to setting the record straight 3.5 weeks later, and is not going to be far off the mark.
