  8. STANGHELI – Four unplaced runs since a 4th over 1800m at Chantilly on October 17th in a Class 2 race. Needs a return to form
  9. MODERN LIGHT – Placed on her last three starts, the latter over track and trip in a handicap on December 18th. One to keep safe
  10. ST ELVIRA – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 1600m at Lyon Parilly on October 31st in a Class 3 handicap. Others make more appeal

    Summary: LOVE IS GOLD (4) could be the answer in this open handicap. He has solid course form and comes into this after a promising second at Chantilly in a Class 2 handicap on March 4th. He gets the nod over AMERICAN LAWYER (1), who has finished runner-up in his last two starts and looks poised to break through. GATTOPARDO (7) is a consistent performer and should be in the mix. VCTE DE JODELET (11), a last-start winner, offers each-way value, as does HAVANA SIX (14), who also scored last time out.

MOOJEED (1) may be the most forward of the colts and should be well prepared by his trainer. INDIFFERENTE (11) has an eye-catching profile—her dam won the Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr.1)—and she warrants a close look in the betting. XAARTA (7) also shapes as a speedy type on pedigree and is one to keep onside.

  3. DYNAMITIC – He won last time out over 1700m at Marseille Borely in a Class 2 race on March 19th. Up in class and he has work to do
  4. ROSAPENNA – Fair 3rd last time out, he won before that over 1500m in a Class 2 race at Deauville on January 24th. Needs a few to falter
  5. TIEGO THE FIRST – Two unplaced runs of late, he won before that over 1400m in a Listed race on July 7th. Looks vulnerable
  6. MARANOA CHARLIE – Won his first three races last year, including a Group 3 race over 1600m in October, and his only defeat was in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud on October 27th. Should be ready to go
  7. LE ROI RENE – Won by 3L on his second start over 1500m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden race on February 3rd. Big jump in class and others rate higher
  8. SILIUS – Three nice wins this year, the latter over 1500m in a Listed race at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on February 23rd. Deserves to step up in class and can be a threat
    Summary: MARANOA CHARLIE (6) was only beaten once last year, and that came in a Group 1 in late October. He landed a Group 3 over 1600m, and although dropping back in trip today, his running style suggests it will suit. ARABIE (2), winner of the Prix Robert Papin over 1200m last year, should find today’s distance ideal. SILIUS (8) has notched three wins at Cagnes-Sur-Mer this year, including a Listed race, and is rapidly improving. WOODSHAUNA (1) is another worth considering.

    Summary: MARCAN (3) returned to form with a solid second at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in mid-January in a Class 4 handicap and looks fairly treated at present. He is preferred to ALPENGEIST (13), who ran a decent second at Chantilly two starts back in similar company. MARANADO (10) is well-drawn and races off a competitive mark, making him a strong contender for the frame. POLMINHAC (6), a previous course and distance winner, is well handicapped and also merits consideration.

Her ultra impressive Group form gives her the greenlight to be the horse to beat . FRAISE DES BOIS (2) finished third in a Group III contest and would not be a surprise winner. BETTER TOGETHER (7) steps up to her toughest contest thus far and will be looking to make a bold statement. LHAKPA (3) was impressive in Meydan finishing third in a Listed and could serve to be a lurker of the pack.

    Summary: ATANASIO (1) was not disgraced when finishing a respectable third in his last start. He meets a similar field at the All-weather track here and will be seeking to make amends. KING OF TWIST (11) did finish second in Class 4 company and now faces a tougher Class 3 but if he remains wise here, he may twist the throne. LETTY’S MARVEL (5) shows a bit of erratic form at the moment but won’t go down without a fight. LETTYT FIGHT (7) deserves a mention and completes the mix.

    Summary: VICIOUS HARRY (2) brings solid racing experience into this Listed where he finished a bold second in his last start after returning off a four month break. He will be knocking at the door to go one more here. DYPTIQUE (11), KERAN (1) and LE CADEAU (4) are no strangers to each other when all three met at Fontainebleau last time out. DYPTIQUE (11) will be scoping to finish much closer here. KERAN (1) was not far off them and must be considered a huge threat. LE CADEAU (4) was the victor against the two and won’t be no surprise if he repeats that run here.

LISEO (3) has had four runs over the French soil where his penultimate start was a solid third in Class 3 company. He will give a solid account of himself. NOOTKA BAY (5) holds solid form and must be given serious consideration. BOSIOH (1) wraps up the top four contentions.
