Summary: KHABESA (7) is very consistent and was not disgraced at this track last month. She looks very likely to fight out the finish in this line-up. SHOWMAN (12) has disappointing form on this surface but has been much improved of late and is clearly not out of it. FULL GAIN (2) showed improvement over this course and distance last time out and could have more to offer. AMOUREUSE (4) will strip fitter this time, so an improved run is on the cards.

C1 – PRIX FIRST AUTO – 3125m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000
- JASMIN DU ROCHER – Sanctioned in a 3250m Saumur amateurs Class H on 23 February. Has been off the boil for some time though and is not about to cause an upset
- KINSHASA DE CHENU – Surprisingly lacklustre 9th of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Goes barefoot this time, with her handler at the helm, and is unlikely to disappoint
- KRISTAL DU TRIO – Back under harness after coming 4th of 10 in a 2450m Caen ridden Class F on 17 March and appears to be out of his depth
- JIPSIE DU LAYON – Will need to show marked improvement on her 6th of 15 in a 2700m Graignes Class F 2.5 weeks ago
- KELLY DU LUPIN – Unraced since winning a 3000m Nantes Class E last September and would be preferred running barefoot
- KING DE CHAMPIGNY – 8th of 14, on return to competition, in a 3300m Chartres Class F mid-March. Still being conditioned and can be passed over
- KRONOS DU CHATELET – Made up for Amiens sanction when comfortable winner of a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F on 16 March and, with application, can confirm
- KANTARO DU TRESOR – 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Machecoul Class F mid-March. Seldom seen right-handed but in present shape is easy to like for a spot on the podium
- KIMONO JULRY – Has hardly put a foot wrong for some months, latterly 2nd of 15 in a 2950m Toulouse Class E 2 weeks ago, and considering the entry, looks a serious proposition
- KEOPS TILLAYE – Makes first appearance since finishing 9th of 14 in a 2925m Cagnes Class D on 12 January and is not about to trouble the judge
- KEOPS BEGONIA – Never far from faulting but reassured at Caen 3 weeks ago when 4th of 14 in a 2450m Class D. Stays shod and in similar form will have a lot to offer
- KASSANDRA WIND – Out of the picture in both starts this year, latterly 8th of 10 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes monte Class D last Friday, and is unlikely to influence the result
- JOSY DES LANDES – Failed to confirm Saint-Brieuc performance when 8th of 12 finishers in a 3000m Nantes Class F mid-February. Has freshness on her side but little else
- KARAIELLA BOND – Quality element but has struggled this term, most recently pulled-up in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 18 March. Has solid right-handed credentials though and is not to be ruled out
- JASMIN GEMA – 13th of 15 on re-entry in a 3200m Fougeres Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run and Benjamin Rochard can be confident of an improved performance
- KAJAGOOGOO – Last of 13 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C on 20 January. Races shod this time and can be ruled out
- KENTUCKY SOMOLLI – Has not been seen out since running 10th of 16 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 23 January. Takes on a less-exalted bunch this time and will appreciate the change of direction. First 5
- JOUTEUR D’AUGE – 3rd of 15 in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class E 3 weeks ago. Nicely-engaged and clearly in form but with shoes on will have nothing to offer
Summary: Twice a winner in 3 starts this year, KRONOS DU CHATELET (7) reverts to his Challans configuration and looks a marginally better bet than the superbly-engaged KIMONO JULRY (9) who is clearly in fine shape. KEOPS BEGONIA (11) is 25m worse off but he reassured at Caen recently, and will be no pushover if Matthieu Abrivard keeps him focused. Barring his Vincennes sanction, KANTARO DU TRESOR (8) has been lurking recently and from the front row can give this a good go.

C2 – PRIX DE SAVIGNY SUR BRAYE – 3125m (a2m) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 26,000 - JUST PACHA – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2450m Caen Class D 10 days ago. Is no slouch on a good day but others still easier to back
- IRAFARA – 5th of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class F a fortnight ago. Is new to the venue but will be partnered by a top jockey and expected to give INITIALE LILA (9) something to think about
- JAPONICA – Back under the saddle after coming 4th of 15 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E a week ago. Is game in both codes and can play a prominent role if form transitions
- ILLICO PRIOR – 6th of 15 on comeback in a 2600m Blain-Bouvron-Le Gâvre harness Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Seldom disappoints in this branch of the game and looks competitively well-in
- ILLICO DE LOU – Unexceptional 5th of 7 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class F 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot this time though, won here earlier in the year, and even from the 2nd line looks a player
- FULGURIS SEGAH – Last of 9, on first start since October, in a 2100m Lisieux harness Class F a fortnight ago. Shoes off this time, is confirmed here, but seems to be taking on too much
- IRESINE DU LUPIN – 4th at Cordemais before faulting in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class F on 25 March. Tends to go well at Angers and has previously imposed in the day’s configuration. Minor place chance
- GUERRIER LUDOIS – Not disgraced when 5th of 9 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 2 January, but in this company will have his work cut out
- INITIALE LILA – Imposed at Caen early-March before running 5th of 16 in a 2800m Argentan harness Class E 3 weeks ago. Placed in 1 of 2 under harness here, is unbeaten in 2 starts with Paul Ploquin, and can keep the trend going
- GOLDY SMILE – Respectable 6th of 11, on return to competition, in a 2550m Reims harness Class E 3 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run but has yet to make his mark under the saddle and is unlikely to start now
- JOKER DU HAMEL – Drops in category after coming 5th of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B last week. Seldom far off the mark in this code and even though yet to make his mark at Angers, should not be underestimated
Summary: A fine campaigner in the ridden discipline, INITIALE LILA (9) is forced to incur the handicap but has been kept on the boil since winning nicely at Caen early last month and racing barefoot this time looks just to have the edge over front-line starters IRAFARA (2) who will be ridden by Mathieu Mottier for the first time, and JAPONICA (3) who returns to the code in-form and barefoot. ILLICO PRIOR (4) similarly enjoys a front line break and has a decent chance of going closer than he did late last month.

C3 – PRIX DE MERAL – 3125m (a2m) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - HARTEFAX – Trounced in both since the break, latterly 14th of 16 in a 2200m Caen amateurs Class G 3 weeks ago, and will need to get his house in order
- ILESLOR DES KECHES – Faithful type that ran 12th of 18 on re-entry in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E on 25 March. Is still in conditioning-mode though and others preferred
- IMPACTS LUDOIS – Has not been seen out since winning a 2400m Beaupreau Class H last August. Consistently gives his best but is going to need the run
- INDY DES PENDANTS – 6th of 13 in a 2700m Graignes Class E on 23 February. Has had ample time to recalibrate, placed in one of 2 here, and could yet get a look-in
- JASMINE DE GREZ – Ran 4th at Meslay-du-Maine before being sanctioned in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E late last month. Difficult to knock when focused, reverts to racing shod, and with application could pleasantly surprise
- JAZZY FLIGNY – Out of the picture in all 3 this term, latterly last of 14 in a 2825m Durtal Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is significantly better than that though and makes his Angers debut with a good hand to play
- JAGUAR FLORAL – Ran 2nd at Vire before winning a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E on 18 March. Excels racing clockwise and will be dangerous if Eric Raffin keeps him focused
- GALCINOIS – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2875m Argentan amateurs monte Class G mid-December and will have nothing to contribute
- IMPACT MAGIC – Given an easy re-entry when 10th of 16 in a 2875m amateurs Class G at Meslay-du-Maine on 16 March. Has form in similar company and the entry will only enhance his already good prospects
- INVICTUS ONE – Sent for a break after winning 4 straight last August, lastly a 2500m Reims Class E at the end of the month. Shod as he was at Reims and Romain Congard will be legitimately expecting to garner the lion’s share of support
- JALISCO FLIGNY – Takes to the track for the first time after running fourth of 14 in a 2950m Toulouse Class C late-September. Has nothing to prove at this level but would be preferred barefoot
- HAMILTON FIRST – Unraced since finishing last of 18 in a 2825m Durtal Class F last October. Races shod for re-entry and has no possible chance
- HARENA DE MARZY – Given a short rest after finishing 6th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 2 months ago. Stays shod for return and others easier to back
- JULIANA DE RETZ – Back under harness after losing her action in a 2850m Laval monte Class E on 27 February. Would be preferred under the saddle but is barefoot for the occasion and should not be overlooked
- GARDEN OF MEMORY – Starts for first time since running 6th of 12 in a 2950m Toulouse Class E last November. Shoes on for comeback however and best to keep one’s powder dry
- IDEAL DANCER – Unlucky to be sanctioned in a 2700m Class F at Lyon-La Soie 2 months ago. Comes here fresh though and with application will have an active part to play
- HARIBO DU CARNOIS – 5th of 16 in a 3200m Fougeres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Races barefoot again and even though well-engaged, is still not the most obvious choice
- GLOUGLOU D’EMI – Has 2 runs under his belt since the recess, most recently 9th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E a fortnight ago. Stays shod though and best to wait
Summary: 7 times a winner in his last 9 starts, INVICTUS ONE (10) may not have been seen out since August, but he is shod to preference and looks thoroughly capable of getting straight down to business. He will still encounter resistance from the reinvigorated JAGUAR FLORAL (7) who enjoys a 25m head-start, and JAZZY FLIGNY (6) who has 3 runs under his belt. IMPACT MAGIC (9) goes barefoot following his re-entry run and is unlikely to be far off the mark.

- KYLEBEAU DU LUOT – Quality element making first appearance since faulting in a 2200m Caen Class D last October. Is barefoot for re-entry and although not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- KONQUERANT – Imposed over longer here late-January before running excellent 2nd of 10 in a 2450m Caen monte Class F on 17 March. Form is not in question and breaking from the 3-spot will only work in his favour. Place chance
- KENAVO TUILERIE – Sanctioned in Caen return run on 13 March before coming 2nd of 10 in a 2500m Reims Class F a week later. Eric Raffin in the bike again and looks the one to beat
- KOKA RIGHT – 6th of 10 finishers in a 2875m Argentan Class E 3 weeks ago. Is considerably better than his recent numbers would suggest however and must be taken seriously. Chance.
- KALADO DE HOUELLE – Unraced since running 4th of 10 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E last August and is not about to spring any surprises
- KOMAN – Clearly back in business, most recently coming 2nd of 12 in a 2400m Amiens Class F mid-March. Takes on some better horses this time but thrives racing clockwise and, with application, can figure prominently
- KSAR UNICK – Returns to the provinces after running 8th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class E a month ago. Barefoot as he was when imposing here last December and despite the wide draw will have his supporters
- KAVRIK DE GUEZ – Handy sort that ran 4th of 14 to KEMER SI (14) in a 2825m Durtal Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is as game as they come, has a lot going for him here, and will be expected to bring the fight to KENAVO TUILERIE (4)
- KILLER BECO – Last of 13 on comeback in a 2650m Laval Class E early last month, and will have no part to play
- KENDO DU CHERISAY – Sanctioned at Vincennes before finishing last of 11 behind KSAR UNICK (8) in a 2875m Enghien Class E a month ago. Never easy to gauge but goes unshod behind with Benjamin Rochard reining and should not be ruled out
- KORINTO BELLO – Starts for first time since running 8th of 13 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 2 January. Has merit but is shod for the occasion and cannot be considered a player
- KASH QUICK – Progressive trotter that was given an easy return run, coming 9th of 16 in a 2825m Cordemais Class F late last month. Is still in conditioning mode though and best to wait
- KEMER SI – Steps back up in category after winning a 2825m Durtal Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Not about to paint the town red but can nevertheless hold his own
- KERLAZ D’AVE – Courageous 4th of 10 behind KENAVO TUILERIE (4) in a 2500m Reims Class F 3 weeks ago. Plainly in good shape but a repeat seems improbable
- KORRIGAN SIBEY – Reassuring 2nd of 16 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F a week ago. Has not been handed the easiest of draws but with Anthony Barrier reining will be afforded every chance
Summary: He may not be the easiest of horses to manage but KENAVO TUILERIE (4) showed his form at Reims recently, is ideally-placed on the front line, and on good behaviour should be able to wrap this up. KAVRIK DE GUEZ (9) has not been favoured by the draw but he showed his form at Durtal, sports a fresh configuration, and has been entrusted to Mathieu Mottier. KOKA RIGHT (5) has a brace of runs in him following the winter break, is shod to preference this time and is not about to let the side down. KONQUERANT (3) is patently back to his best and with his mind on the game can play a leading role.

- KORA DE BLARY – Complicated type that was sanctioned early in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Has still to lose her maiden tag and is not about to start now
- KANELLE LA RAVELLE – Disappointing this year, most recently finishing 8th of 11 in a 2700m Meral Class H last Sunday, and has no realistic chance
- KSARYA DE CHENU – Pleasant 4th of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Has been lurking lately and although unlikely to get her nose in front, can still get in on the action if Benjamin Rochard successfully navigates the start
- KERIA FLEURY – Useful mare making first start since running 7th of 14 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last December. Ran 4th on only Angers start, has been entrusted to Paul Ploquin, and in spite of the draw, can play a small role
Summary: There is not a lot separating the main protagonists here, but KAROLINE CADE (5) looks set to garner significant support considering her Caen performance, the draw, and the presence of Eric Raffin in the bike. She will still face opposition from front-line starters KORSICANA (6) who left a very good impression last time out, and KALIFA MESLOISE (7) who is competitively-shod with Alexandre Abrivard at the helm. Handed an ideal spot behind the car, KASPAROVA (4) must be respected.

C6 – PRIX DE MESLAY DU MAINE – 3125m (a2m) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 23,000 - KENAVO CHANTEREINE – Failed to live up to expectations when 7th of 13 in a 2700m Class F at Lyon-La Soie on 23 February. Races barefoot this time but appears to be in over his head
- JAIN SAUTREUIL – Unraced since losing her action in a 2700m Thouars harness Class F last August, and debuts in the discipline with the slimmest of chances
- KENZO VEETA – Starts for first time since coming 4th of 18 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E mid-November. Is confirmed both directions but is going to need the race
- JUSTYBILIE DU LUOT – Last of 7 finishers, on return from a 6 months’ break, in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F late-March, and makes Angers bow with limited aspiration
- KERGRIST – Won 2 from 3 before being sanctioned early in a 2850m Laval Class F on 29 March and would be preferred with hind shoes off
- KEOPS LUDOIS – Quality element making first start since running 2nd of 11 in a 2950m Vichy Class F last June. Has buckets of talent but will be race-rusty
- JUPITER CAPTAIN – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E on 13 March, and races here on a prayer
- KOPERNIC DAIRPET – Makes first appearance since running 3rd of 6 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E in early-February. Has never let the side down here and gets a Benjamin Rochard ride for the occasion, but not a priority racing with shoes fitted
- JOLIE DES BAUX – Sanctioned, on return from a break, in a 2800m Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles 11 days ago. Never the easiest to gauge and looks out of her league
- KALOU DES NOEES – Imposed under harness at Cholet on 2 March before coming 2nd of 10 in a 2900m monté Class F at Challans a week later. In better company this time but has earned the right to race here and will be no easy touch
- KEKOA – Returns to the ridden code after running 6th of 18 in a 2875m harness Class F at Meslay-du-Maine on 18 March. Has yet to prove himself under the saddle but the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes
- KIVIANA – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine harness Class F on 18 March. Yet to disappoint in the day’s configuration and is not about to return home empty-handed
- KARRINGTON – Imposed at Laval prior to running 3rd of 16 in a 2875m Enghien harness Class E a month ago. Reverts to a successful formula and debuts in the discipline with a lot to offer. Chance
- KENENISA SKILL – Imposed at Vincennes before running 4th to KERGRIST (5) in a 2875m Argentan Class E 3 weeks ago. Seldom lets the side down in this code and looks competitive for a place in the frame
- KOKTAIL DE JANZE – Won 2 of last 3 under the saddle, most recently a 2450m Caen Class F on 17 March. Is proven here and, with stride in check, can confirm
- KAP ORNE – Held his own to come 5th of 15 in a 2725m Lisieux Class D 2 weeks ago. Appears to be close to his best, and races barefoot, but represents no more than a minor place prospect
Summary: Winner of the last 4 races in which he stayed in stride, KOKTAIL DE JANZE (15) has not been seen at Angers since January 2024 but is clearly in rude health, benefits from a fine entry, and can make this his own. That said, KARRINGTON (13) is similarly in fine shape and, sporting a new formula, looks the principal threat. Excellent in both codes this term, KALOU DES NOEES (10) has been competitively-shod for the occasion and steps up in category with a good hand to play. KENENISA SKILL (14) is new to Angers but is particularly versatile and Benjamin Rochard gets the nod.

C7 – PRIX DE LA ROCHE POSAY – 2350m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000 - LIGHTNING RIVER – Unseen since running 3rd of 10 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D last October. Has bags of untapped potential though, is competitively-shod, and tends to go well for his driver
- LOUVIERS – Returns to Angers after faulting in a 2100m Lisieux Class E 2 weeks ago. Went close last time here and, given the chance, can make a big splash
- LEWIS D’ALEXIANE – Runner-up in 3 of last 4, most recently a 2200m Caen Class F on 3 March. Is competitively-shod for Angers bow and with a top driver in charge can have his day in the sun
- LADY MYSTIC – Sanctioned in last 4, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Ability is not in doubt though and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to set the record straight. First 5, if applied
- LADY D’ECOTAY – Sanctioned in all 3 starts this year, latterly a 2100m Lisieux Class E 2 weeks ago. Barefoot for the occasion but still not easy to recommend
- LOLA D’OHARA – Pleasant but unthreatening 5th of 8 finishers in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a fortnight ago. Always gives her best but may find the going a bit too tough this time
- LUBIN SECRET – 8th of 11, on return to competition, in a 2450m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Not the most courageous of horses and even racing barefoot, cannot be considered a priority
- LILIAN DU PARADIS – Starts for first time since running 6th of 9 in a 2950m Le Mans Class D last September. Not short of ability and races first-time barefoot, but still no more than a minor place chance
- LICORNVERASPERANZA – Last but one finisher in a 2200m Caen Class E, on re-entry, 3 weeks ago. Runs barefoot for first time but is being aimed too high too early
- LASER FIGHTER – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2675m Lisieux Class F mid-March. Imposed on his only start here but faces a much stiffer test this time
- LANDEVY – Unseen in public since finishing 7th of 10 in a 2200m Vincennes monté Class E mid-November. 4 pads fitted but still not a concern
- LIKE DAD – Reassuring 2nd of 18 in a 3250m Saumur Class F late last month. In better company this time but still has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
- LE BIEF – Handy type that ran 3rd of 13 in a 2675m Lisieux Class F mid-March. Is plainly on the right track and even from the 2nd row willl be no pushover with Franck Nivard reining
- LOUISIANE PARIS – Below-par in last 2, most recently 9th of 10 finishers in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class F on 25 March, and is not about to spring any surprises
- LA STAR – Sanctioned, on return from her winter break, in a 2200m Caen Class E on 20 March. Will have come on for the run and is unlikely to disappoint if she stays in stride
- LOVE LETTERS FERM – Last of 8 in a Class E over course and distance last week and appears to have no possible chance
Summary: Consistently in the thick of things over recent months, LEWIS D’ALEXIANE (3) has yet to get his nose in front but will be reined by Eric Raffin for the first time and can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. He will still be up against the more experienced, but less favourably-drawn, LE BIEF (13) who won here in January, and the better-positioned LOUVIERS (2) who despite never being far from faulting, is confirmed here and must be respected. Paul Ploquin would have preferred a more competitive draw for LA STAR (15) but she races unshod behind for the first time and will be no soft touch if focused.

C8 – PRIX D’ECOMMOY – 2350m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - MA REINE – Makes first appearance since faulting in a 2925m Cagnes Class B mid-February and is not about to spring any surprises
- MAESTRO BILOU – Flattering 4th of 5 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class E a month ago and in this company will have very limited prospects
- MISTA GUILLERVILLE – Has started to make good on his potential, latterly coming 2nd of 8 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 20 March. Ran 2nd to MAGNUM (16) on debut and from the front line looks a major player
- MEGANE DE CERISY – Got straight back in the game on re-entry, running 2nd of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class F 3 weeks ago. With stride in check and Matthieu Abrivard in the bike, can be counted on for a big run
- MATINEE PARISIENNE – Unraced since running 4th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes Class C last November. Is clearly useful but is expected to need the race
- MOLLY WHITE – Starts for the first time since running 5th of 15 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C mid-December. Always gives her best and receives an Eric Raffin drive for the occasion. First 5
- MARQUISE DE MAGNY – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago, and in similar form will have a lot to offer. Place prospect
- MAGIC LOMIG – Steps up in category after stylishly opening his account in a 2400m Amiens Class F early last month. Should take well to Angers profile and despite being drawn wide can still play a small part
- MAGIC COCO – Got off the mark first time out but was sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Unlikely to set the cat among the pigeons though and others preferred
- MAXIMILIANO DE LOU – Has not been seen out since winning a 2050m Cabourg Class E last October. Steps up in category and is unlikely to be fully fit
- MEDEE DU VIVIER – Courageous 5th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Franck Nivard in the bike this time but others still preferred
- MY AMERICA – Failed to confirm debut success when sanctioned at the start of a 2850m Laval Class E on 29 March. Goes clockwise for first time and will be worth monitoring
- MARI ET FEMME – Takes to the track for the first time after qualifying in 1’18”7 at Caen a fortnight ago. Will not bet helped by the draw though. Disregard
- MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE – Quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E late last month. Should not be too hastily-judged and with application, can bring the fight to MAGNUM (16)
- MAD OF YOU – Surprising 3rd of 9 on comeback in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E on 25 March. Will have come on for the run and despite a poor draw, should not be written off
- MAGNUM – Opened his account at Cholet before being sanctioned early in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 10 days ago, but on better behaviour can make amends and win this
Summary: Handed a shocker of a draw but clearly a serious trotter in the making, MAGNUM (16) will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard this time and can put things right. He will still be mindful of back-row starter MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE (14) who won on debut here, and the ideally-positioned MISTA GUILLERVILLE (3) who is plainly close to his race. MARQUISE DE MAGNY (7) has no clockwise credentials but in current form is very easy to like.
