  4. POMPANO – Two decent placed runs this year, the latest over 3600m at Auteuil in a handicap hurdle on March 23rd. Can make his presence felt
  5. ROBIN HILL – 5th last time out, 3rd before that over 4100m at Angers in a handicap hurdle on February 16th. Live contender
  6. KOUCA DE THAIX – Three unplaced runs since a win over 3500m at this track in a Class 4 chase on May 4th, 2024. Needs to bounce back to form
  7. THE MUST – 6th over 3500m at Moulins in a Class 3 hurdle on March 22nd. Capable if in the right frame of mind

  16. ZANHOWE – Won on his last start over 3800m at Pau in a handicap hurdle on January 21st. Others seem better equipped
  17. CELEB – Two 3rd placed runs of late, the latter over 3800m at Nimes on March 29th in a Class 3 chase. Might find a few too smart
  18. KING OF FREEDOM – Three unplaced runs this year, his 6th placed effort two runs back in a Class 1 handicap hurdle over 3600m at this track was a fair effort and he has a good racing weight
    Summary: DREAM DU LEMO (3) has acquitted himself well on his three runs this year, the most recent when fourth at this track in a Class 1 handicap hurdle in late February. He won on the flat and can get his first success over hurdles. KANGO (1) has to give weight to all of his rivals but can be competitive after a win over fences at Nancy in mid-March. BELISMA (9) will be ready to go after a nice break and can make the frame. POMPANO (4) and ROBIN HILL (5) look the best of the others.

  29. WHY – 4th on his last start over 3800m at Nimes in a Class 4 handicap chase on March 29th. Capable but is hard to rely on
  30. FLEURIEU – Two 4th placed runs of late, the most recent over 3900m at Compiegne on March 24th in a claiming chase. Unlikely to threaten
    Summary: WINSTONPRESIDENT (5) drops in class after three unplaced efforts in decent races. He won a Class 1 chase at this track last September and should be too smart for his rivals. GRAND CLERMONT (2) ran well to be second at Compiegne last month in a claiming chase and looks like the main danger. MELGARRY (1) was fifth at Le Lion D’Angers 4 days ago and can be competitive on a quick return. LASTDREAM D’OROUX (6) makes up the shortlist.

  32. SHANNON MAESTRO – Colt by Doctor Dino, the dam won over hurdles. From a leading stable who will have this horse well-tuned. Monitor the betting patterns
  33. MASTAR – 7th on his debit over 3300m in a hurdle race at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on March 28th. Others rate higher
  34. NICOS INVICTA – Well beaten on his sole start over 3000m on March 15th at this track over hurdles. Vast improvement needed to feature
  35. FRECKLES – Unraced gelding by Patrobe, the dam won 3 races on the flat. Unlikely to feature on debut unless any market support
  36. POKROV – Unplaced on the one run over hurdles, 2nd before that on the flat in a claimer over 1700m at Pornichet on December 15th. Best watched for now
  37. BEL ENJEU – Unplaced on his debut over 3200m at Compiegne over hurdles on March 4th. He showed ability that day and is one to consider
  38. GO COLIN GO – Four unplaced runs so far, the latter over 3000m in a Class 4 hurdle at Fontainebleau on March 29th. Hard to recommend
  39. SAINT PATRICE – Unraced gelding by Saint Des Saints, the dam ran twice on the flat. Stable runners are well prepared and any market support should be noted
  40. EDAMURA – Nice effort to be 6th over 3000m at this track in a hurdle race on debut on March 15th. He will be sharper this time and can score
  41. MISS TAHOE – Newcomer by Telecaster, the dam never ran. Can be expected to improve from this debut run. Watch the betting patterns
  42. CHERRY BERRY – Newcomer by Doctor Dino, the dam was placed over hurdles. This filly should know what is required and the betting can be the most informative guide
    Summary: EDAMURA (10) ran a good race on his debut when sixth over track and trip on March 15th. He will be a lot sharper for that run and can edge this from KILLING BID (1), who was three-quarters of a length ahead in fifth place in the same race at this track on debut and is a threat. SHANNON MAESTRO (2) looks good on paper, and he will be well-tuned for a bold show on debut. BEL ENJEU (7) showed ability on debut and is worth considering each-way.

  45. JAPON – Below par last time out, he won before that over 3700m at this track on February 15th in a Class 2 chase. Dangerous if allowed an easy lead
  46. GRAND ONCLE – Two unplaced runs this year, the latter over 4400m in a Grade 3 chase at Auteuil on March 8th. Needs a few to misfire
  47. KALOUKA – Three placed runs this year, 3rd on the latter over 4400m at this track in a handicap chase on March 2nd. Ought to be thereabouts
    Summary: ROSARIO BARON (1) was a game-winner over 4400m in a Listed chase at this track last month and is a former winner of the Grand Steeple Chase de Paris (Grade 1) in 2023. He can deny his old rival BON GARCON (2), who was under a length back in second place when they met here last month under similar terms. JAPON (3) fluffed his lines last time, but he won twice before that, one of them at this track, and he can be dangerous if allowed a soft lead.

  51. CROWN DU BERLAIS – Placed on both of his runs this year, 3rd on the latest over 3600m in a Listed hurdle at this track on March 8th. Tries fences for the second time and should be on the premises
  52. VICTORY VALLEY – Two 4th placed runs at this track recently, the most recent over 3500m in a Listed chase on March 15th. Looks to be improving and can not be discounted
  53. KIRAKINE – 4th on her sole run this year, that was over 3900m in a Class 1 chase at Compiegne on March 24th. Others make more appeal
    Summary: THE WORKAHOLIC (2) has scored on his two starts over fences, both in Class 1 races and the latest over 3500m at this track in mid-February by 2.5L. He has a leading chance of notching up a hat-trick. VICTORY VALLEY (5) has shaped well to be fourth on his last two starts, the most recent in a Listed chase in mod-March at this track. He can be a threat. LECOEURDESHOMMES (1) has run in Grade 3 chases on his last two starts, he was fourth on his penultimate start at this track and warrants respect.

    Summary: A strong group of fillies lines up for this Class 2 hurdle. LACOKOKELDY (1) looks the one to beat after winning both starts to date, the most recent at Compiègne early last month. LEMON SWEET (2) impressed with a five-length victory at this track on March 8th and appears to be a smart prospect. CLARTE DU SOURIRE (8) brings winning form, having landed her last two, including a Class 2 hurdle at La Teste late last month, and should be in the mix. TANTE ZENA (6) also makes the shortlist.

  69. FRERE VERT – Nice 3rd over 3600m in a Class 2 hurdle at Auteuil on March 15th and placed before that. Chase debut and ought to be in the shake-up
  70. LOSANGE VERT BLEU – Fair 4th on his chase debut over 3400m at Pau in a Class 4 race on December 17th. He was 3rd on November 24th in the Prix Renaud Du Vivier Hurdle (Grade 1 ) at this track and can score this time
  71. KRISTAL PLAYER – 3rd on her latest start over 4200m at Strasbourg on March 22nd in a Class 3 chase. More needed in a stronger race
    Summary: LOSANGE VERT BLEU (9) is a classy hurdler who shaped well on his chase debut at Pau in December. Freshened up since, he should be primed to return with a winning effort. FRERE VERT (8) brings consistent hurdling form and could pose a serious challenge on his first start over fences. CHANCE DE BALLON (4), already a winner over fences, wasn’t up to Grade 1 level over hurdles last time but should find this easier. KASADEPAPEL (5) is another to keep in mind and merits consideration.

  78. PRESTINO – Fair 3rd on his one run over 3400m at Compiegne on March 24th in a Class 4 hurdle. He will know a lot more this time and can make the frame
  79. ROGATIEN – Unplaced on his hurdles run over 3400m at Compiegne in a Class 4 race on March 24th, he won on the flat before that on March 1st over 2400m. Outside place chance
  80. LOUXOR DU BREUIL – Unraced gelding by Roman Candle, the dam was placed twice over hurdles. From a respected stable who know how to ready a newcomer. Watch the betting patterns
  81. DO IT AGAIN – He won on his sole start over 3350m at Bangor (GBR) on November 13th. Improvement expected and can be on the premises on his French debut
  82. NO BAY – Three time flat winner, the latest over 2600m on the PSF in December. 5th over 3600m on his hurdles bow on March 23rd at this track. Has more to do to be involved
  83. DEMPY – 4th on his latest start over 3600m over hurdles at this track on February 24th, flat winner over 3000m last June at Saint-Cloud. Capable with improvement of reaching the frame
    Summary: LEADER SPORT (1) won despite showing lots of inexperience on his debut over hurdles at Compiegne early last month. He will be a lot wiser for that run and can edge this over INNER SUCCESS (3) who won on the flat and scored at Strasbourg on his hurdles debut late last month. ROYAL LOUIS HAS (4) won at Senonnes on his second start and looked like a horse to follow. DO IT AGAIN (10) won at Bangor in the UK on his debut over hurdles and can be expected to have a say at the business end.

  1. BALANGAN – Did not show much on debut when 13th in a conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2000m on 20 March. Drops in distance and tries the PSF, so could improve
  2. ALSABA – Knocking hard at the door and was runner-up last time out in a conditions race over this course and distance on 20 December. Returns from a break but can go one better this time.
  3. ASTRAL WAY – Threatened to win a race last year and was runner-up last time out in a conditions race at Compiègne over 1400m on 28 August. Returns from a break but has a winning chance
  4. HONEYFLOWER – Only found one better on the day on debut, in a conditions race at La Teste-de-Buch over 1600m on 22 March. Big chance in this line-up
  5. WITH ZEST – Has shown promise in both starts so far and was third last time out in a conditions race at Fontainebleau over 1400m on 14 March. Has a winning chance
  6. LES DIGGERS – Only modest in two starts and was 6th last time out in a conditions race over this course and distance on 4 March. Needs to do a bit more to win
  7. WAVE – Not disgraced when fourth on debut in a conditions race over this track and trip on 13 March. Capable of contesting the finish again
  8. LA BELLA OTERO – A three-year-old filly by Sea The Stars out of Miss Mariduff who is making her debut. Holds a Group 1 entry and would not be a surprise winner
    Summary: ASTRAL WAY (3) holds an entry in the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches. She ran well in all three of her starts last year and could win returning from a break. HONEYFLOWER (4) was runner-up on debut at La Teste-de-Buch last month and should make a bold attempt at victory again. ALSABA (2) returns from a break but is threatening to win and deserves the utmost respect. LA BELLA OTERO (8) holds a Group 1 entry and would not be a surprise winner.

ALVAR (1) has only been modest for some time but could be a threat off this low mark. ACHKI (3) is battling to find winning form but is capable of contesting the finish yet again. PRINCE DES DUNES (6) has won over this distance and could surprise.

  55. KSAR UNICK – Returns to the provinces after running 8th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class E a month ago. Barefoot as he was when imposing here last December and despite the wide draw will have his supporters
  56. KAVRIK DE GUEZ – Handy sort that ran 4th of 14 to KEMER SI (14) in a 2825m Durtal Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is as game as they come, has a lot going for him here, and will be expected to bring the fight to KENAVO TUILERIE (4)
  57. KILLER BECO – Last of 13 on comeback in a 2650m Laval Class E early last month, and will have no part to play
  58. KENDO DU CHERISAY – Sanctioned at Vincennes before finishing last of 11 behind KSAR UNICK (8) in a 2875m Enghien Class E a month ago. Never easy to gauge but goes unshod behind with Benjamin Rochard reining and should not be ruled out
  59. KORINTO BELLO – Starts for first time since running 8th of 13 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 2 January. Has merit but is shod for the occasion and cannot be considered a player
  60. KASH QUICK – Progressive trotter that was given an easy return run, coming 9th of 16 in a 2825m Cordemais Class F late last month. Is still in conditioning mode though and best to wait
  61. KEMER SI – Steps back up in category after winning a 2825m Durtal Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Not about to paint the town red but can nevertheless hold his own
  62. KERLAZ D’AVE – Courageous 4th of 10 behind KENAVO TUILERIE (4) in a 2500m Reims Class F 3 weeks ago. Plainly in good shape but a repeat seems improbable
  63. KORRIGAN SIBEY – Reassuring 2nd of 16 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F a week ago. Has not been handed the easiest of draws but with Anthony Barrier reining will be afforded every chance
    Summary: He may not be the easiest of horses to manage but KENAVO TUILERIE (4) showed his form at Reims recently, is ideally-placed on the front line, and on good behaviour should be able to wrap this up. KAVRIK DE GUEZ (9) has not been favoured by the draw but he showed his form at Durtal, sports a fresh configuration, and has been entrusted to Mathieu Mottier. KOKA RIGHT (5) has a brace of runs in him following the winter break, is shod to preference this time and is not about to let the side down. KONQUERANT (3) is patently back to his best and with his mind on the game can play a leading role.

  68. KAROLINE CADE – 2nd of 17 in a 2200m Caen Class F on 17 March. Similarly-shod for return to Angers and under the guidance of Eric Raffin can impose
  69. KORSICANA – Smartly won a 2675m Lisieux Class F on 15 March. Franck Nivard in charge this time and is sufficiently well-placed in front to apply the pressure on KAROLINE CADE (5)
  70. KALIFA MESLOISE – 5th of 17 behind KAROLINE CADE (5) in a 2200m Caen Class F on 17 March. Entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for first time and will be dangerous if he can keep her focused
  71. KERIDA BEST – 10th of 12 finishers behind KANELLE LA RAVELLE (14) in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F on 18 March. Runs barefoot this time but is unlikely to set off any fireworks
  72. KALINA LOVE – Has not been seen out since coming 4th of 14 in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 18 January. Shod for the occasion but with Mathieu Mottier in the bike, is not to be underestimated
  73. KEVA LUDOISE – 10th of 16 behind KSARYA DE CHENU (15) in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Is not without merit but still needs to raise her game
  74. KOKINE BECO – Unraced since winning a 3250m Saumur Class F in early-November. Shoes on for re-entry and can be passed over
  75. KYRA GIO – 4th of 12 in a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better lot here and even though confirmed at the venue, will struggle to make her presence felt
  76. KORA DE BLARY – Complicated type that was sanctioned early in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Has still to lose her maiden tag and is not about to start now
  77. KANELLE LA RAVELLE – Disappointing this year, most recently finishing 8th of 11 in a 2700m Meral Class H last Sunday, and has no realistic chance
  78. KSARYA DE CHENU – Pleasant 4th of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Has been lurking lately and although unlikely to get her nose in front, can still get in on the action if Benjamin Rochard successfully navigates the start
  79. KERIA FLEURY – Useful mare making first start since running 7th of 14 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last December. Ran 4th on only Angers start, has been entrusted to Paul Ploquin, and in spite of the draw, can play a small role
    Summary: There is not a lot separating the main protagonists here, but KAROLINE CADE (5) looks set to garner significant support considering her Caen performance, the draw, and the presence of Eric Raffin in the bike. She will still face opposition from front-line starters KORSICANA (6) who left a very good impression last time out, and KALIFA MESLOISE (7) who is competitively-shod with Alexandre Abrivard at the helm. Handed an ideal spot behind the car, KASPAROVA (4) must be respected.

  82. KENZO VEETA – Starts for first time since coming 4th of 18 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E mid-November. Is confirmed both directions but is going to need the race
  83. JUSTYBILIE DU LUOT – Last of 7 finishers, on return from a 6 months’ break, in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F late-March, and makes Angers bow with limited aspiration
  84. KERGRIST – Won 2 from 3 before being sanctioned early in a 2850m Laval Class F on 29 March and would be preferred with hind shoes off
  85. KEOPS LUDOIS – Quality element making first start since running 2nd of 11 in a 2950m Vichy Class F last June. Has buckets of talent but will be race-rusty
  86. JUPITER CAPTAIN – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E on 13 March, and races here on a prayer
  87. KOPERNIC DAIRPET – Makes first appearance since running 3rd of 6 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E in early-February. Has never let the side down here and gets a Benjamin Rochard ride for the occasion, but not a priority racing with shoes fitted
  88. JOLIE DES BAUX – Sanctioned, on return from a break, in a 2800m Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles 11 days ago. Never the easiest to gauge and looks out of her league
  89. KALOU DES NOEES – Imposed under harness at Cholet on 2 March before coming 2nd of 10 in a 2900m monté Class F at Challans a week later. In better company this time but has earned the right to race here and will be no easy touch
  90. KEKOA – Returns to the ridden code after running 6th of 18 in a 2875m harness Class F at Meslay-du-Maine on 18 March. Has yet to prove himself under the saddle but the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes
  91. KIVIANA – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine harness Class F on 18 March. Yet to disappoint in the day’s configuration and is not about to return home empty-handed
  92. KARRINGTON – Imposed at Laval prior to running 3rd of 16 in a 2875m Enghien harness Class E a month ago. Reverts to a successful formula and debuts in the discipline with a lot to offer. Chance
  93. KENENISA SKILL – Imposed at Vincennes before running 4th to KERGRIST (5) in a 2875m Argentan Class E 3 weeks ago. Seldom lets the side down in this code and looks competitive for a place in the frame
  94. KOKTAIL DE JANZE – Won 2 of last 3 under the saddle, most recently a 2450m Caen Class F on 17 March. Is proven here and, with stride in check, can confirm
  95. KAP ORNE – Held his own to come 5th of 15 in a 2725m Lisieux Class D 2 weeks ago. Appears to be close to his best, and races barefoot, but represents no more than a minor place prospect
    Summary: Winner of the last 4 races in which he stayed in stride, KOKTAIL DE JANZE (15) has not been seen at Angers since January 2024 but is clearly in rude health, benefits from a fine entry, and can make this his own. That said, KARRINGTON (13) is similarly in fine shape and, sporting a new formula, looks the principal threat. Excellent in both codes this term, KALOU DES NOEES (10) has been competitively-shod for the occasion and steps up in category with a good hand to play. KENENISA SKILL (14) is new to Angers but is particularly versatile and Benjamin Rochard gets the nod.

  98. LEWIS D’ALEXIANE – Runner-up in 3 of last 4, most recently a 2200m Caen Class F on 3 March. Is competitively-shod for Angers bow and with a top driver in charge can have his day in the sun
  99. LADY MYSTIC – Sanctioned in last 4, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Ability is not in doubt though and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to set the record straight. First 5, if applied
  100. LADY D’ECOTAY – Sanctioned in all 3 starts this year, latterly a 2100m Lisieux Class E 2 weeks ago. Barefoot for the occasion but still not easy to recommend
  101. LOLA D’OHARA – Pleasant but unthreatening 5th of 8 finishers in a 2100m Lisieux Class E a fortnight ago. Always gives her best but may find the going a bit too tough this time
  102. LUBIN SECRET – 8th of 11, on return to competition, in a 2450m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Not the most courageous of horses and even racing barefoot, cannot be considered a priority
  103. LILIAN DU PARADIS – Starts for first time since running 6th of 9 in a 2950m Le Mans Class D last September. Not short of ability and races first-time barefoot, but still no more than a minor place chance
  104. LICORNVERASPERANZA – Last but one finisher in a 2200m Caen Class E, on re-entry, 3 weeks ago. Runs barefoot for first time but is being aimed too high too early
  105. LASER FIGHTER – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2675m Lisieux Class F mid-March. Imposed on his only start here but faces a much stiffer test this time
  106. LANDEVY – Unseen in public since finishing 7th of 10 in a 2200m Vincennes monté Class E mid-November. 4 pads fitted but still not a concern
  107. LIKE DAD – Reassuring 2nd of 18 in a 3250m Saumur Class F late last month. In better company this time but still has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
  108. LE BIEF – Handy type that ran 3rd of 13 in a 2675m Lisieux Class F mid-March. Is plainly on the right track and even from the 2nd row willl be no pushover with Franck Nivard reining
  109. LOUISIANE PARIS – Below-par in last 2, most recently 9th of 10 finishers in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class F on 25 March, and is not about to spring any surprises
  110. LA STAR – Sanctioned, on return from her winter break, in a 2200m Caen Class E on 20 March. Will have come on for the run and is unlikely to disappoint if she stays in stride
  111. LOVE LETTERS FERM – Last of 8 in a Class E over course and distance last week and appears to have no possible chance
    Summary: Consistently in the thick of things over recent months, LEWIS D’ALEXIANE (3) has yet to get his nose in front but will be reined by Eric Raffin for the first time and can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. He will still be up against the more experienced, but less favourably-drawn, LE BIEF (13) who won here in January, and the better-positioned LOUVIERS (2) who despite never being far from faulting, is confirmed here and must be respected. Paul Ploquin would have preferred a more competitive draw for LA STAR (15) but she races unshod behind for the first time and will be no soft touch if focused.

  116. MATINEE PARISIENNE – Unraced since running 4th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes Class C last November. Is clearly useful but is expected to need the race
  117. MOLLY WHITE – Starts for the first time since running 5th of 15 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C mid-December. Always gives her best and receives an Eric Raffin drive for the occasion. First 5
  118. MARQUISE DE MAGNY – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago, and in similar form will have a lot to offer. Place prospect
  119. MAGIC LOMIG – Steps up in category after stylishly opening his account in a 2400m Amiens Class F early last month. Should take well to Angers profile and despite being drawn wide can still play a small part
  120. MAGIC COCO – Got off the mark first time out but was sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Unlikely to set the cat among the pigeons though and others preferred
  121. MAXIMILIANO DE LOU – Has not been seen out since winning a 2050m Cabourg Class E last October. Steps up in category and is unlikely to be fully fit
  122. MEDEE DU VIVIER – Courageous 5th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Franck Nivard in the bike this time but others still preferred
  123. MY AMERICA – Failed to confirm debut success when sanctioned at the start of a 2850m Laval Class E on 29 March. Goes clockwise for first time and will be worth monitoring
  124. MARI ET FEMME – Takes to the track for the first time after qualifying in 1’18”7 at Caen a fortnight ago. Will not bet helped by the draw though. Disregard
  125. MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE – Quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E late last month. Should not be too hastily-judged and with application, can bring the fight to MAGNUM (16)
  126. MAD OF YOU – Surprising 3rd of 9 on comeback in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E on 25 March. Will have come on for the run and despite a poor draw, should not be written off
  127. MAGNUM – Opened his account at Cholet before being sanctioned early in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 10 days ago, but on better behaviour can make amends and win this
    Summary: Handed a shocker of a draw but clearly a serious trotter in the making, MAGNUM (16) will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard this time and can put things right. He will still be mindful of back-row starter MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE (14) who won on debut here, and the ideally-positioned MISTA GUILLERVILLE (3) who is plainly close to his race. MARQUISE DE MAGNY (7) has no clockwise credentials but in current form is very easy to like.
