NIGHTWALKER TO MAKESUCCESSFUL FEILDEN RETURN

Fine Form
Nightwalker NM – 2.25

can make a splash on his first start for John and Thady Gosden in the bet365 Feilden Stakes at Newmarket.
Previously with the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute, Nightwalker ran three times at two and really caught the eye on debut when third to Matauri Bay before winning next time at Yarmouth.
Upped in class for the Autumn Stakes, he finished third, still looking a bit green before doing his best work in the closing stages behind Ballysax winner Delacroix.
The Frankel colt is from the family of St Leger winner Logician so this nine-furlong trip will be a minimum, but given how patient Stoute was as a trainer, the belief is those who inherited his horses this season will reap the benefit.
The Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes can go the way of Charlie Appleby’s
Verse Of Love NM – 3.35
Appleby already has the 1000 Guineas favourite in Desert Flower, but this filly is as low as 16-1 for the Classic with some bookmakers after just one run.
She was wildly impressive in a Newmarket maiden in October though, beating stablemate Wild Angel by five lengths.
Well backed on debut, there was plenty of stable confidence and she was Appleby’s only entry for the trial.
Appleby’s
Twilight Star NM – 4.10
could be a potential Royal Ascot juvenile based on breeding, so she is of interest in the Bet Boost At bet365 EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
By Mehmas, she is related to the speedy Tone The Barone and Mrs Gallagher while
the stable’s
Victory Queen NM – 4.45
a half-sister to Guineas winner Coroebus, looks the one in the bet365 British EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
Ambiente Friendly NM – 3.00
returns from a lengthy break in the bet365 Earl of Sefton Stakes.
Winner of the Lingfield Derby Trial last May, he went on to finish a valiant second to City Of Troy at Epsom but his form then regressed over the following months.
A beaten favourite when third in the Irish Derby, he then disappointed in the Juddmonte International and was last of five in the Prix Niel.
His owners, the Gredley family, moved him from James Fanshawe to James Owen
over the winter, but that is not surprising given how much success they have had with Owen to date and this looks a nice starting point.
Aramram NM – 1.50
catches the eye in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap.
The son of Blue Point arrives here with a fitness advantage over some of his main rivals having had a couple of runs on the all-weather.
They were both good efforts, narrow defeats at Kempton and Southwell, and he
proved when second in the Ayr Silver Cup he is just as effective on turf.
At Kempton,
Federated KM – 8.30
can return to winning ways in the Industry Leading In-Play Markets At Unibet Handicap.
Trained by John Butler, he won one of this three starts over the winter and having raced in the colours of his handler, Federated now sports the Newtown Anner Stud silks.
