  1. ZIA AGNESE – Comes off a good third-place finish over 2000m on this course in a Group 3 on 3 August. Christophe Soumillon retains the ride which is a big plus
  2. CASPI STAR – Disappointing last two starts. Finished eighth over 2400m at Newmarket in a Listed race on 19 July. More needed to win this
  3. GINALYAH – Finished behind Indalimos when fourth in a Group 3 over 2400m at Chantilly on 1 June. She may battle to turn the form around
  4. RABBIT’S FOOT – Finished third in the Group 3 Cygames Prix De Malleret over 2400m at Parislongchamp on 13 July. She is a filly with class and can go close
  5. INDALIMOS – Finished second in a Group 3 over 2400m at Chantilly on 1 June. Merits healthy respect

  8. KIAMBA – Won over 2400m at Parislongchamp in a Conditional Listed on 19 June. She is in a good space and should run an honest race
  9. GALENE – Lightly raced with good form. Finished second over 2100m at Chantilly in Class 2 Conditional on 16 May. She takes a big step up in class
  10. UNDERSTUDY – Finished fifth over 2400m at Newmarket in a Listed race on 19 July. She finished second in a Group 2 at Ascot in her penultimate run and can feature if finding the form of that run
    Summary: RABBIT’S FOOT (4) was not disgraced when third in the Group 3 Cygames Prix De Malleret on 13 July. She has class about her and has a winning chance. CONSENT (6) won a good race in her first outing this year over 2000m at Newbury on 19 July. Luke Morris makes the trip to ride, and she is one of the leading contenders. UNDERSTUDY (10) was a tad disappointing in a Listed race last time after finishing second in a Group 2. Oisin Murphy retains the ride and if putting her best foot forward, she should be competitive. INDALIMOS (5) has produced two good runs since winning on debut and merits healthy respect.

  18. THORDIS – Finished second over 2000m at Vichy in Conditional Listed on 17 July. May find it difficult to win a race of this nature
    Summary: DAMYSUS (7) is much better than his last start in the Group 1 Betfred Derby. His form prior to that outing was good. John and Thady Gosden won this race last year and will be looking to retain their title. PURVIEW (4) is another talented visitor who has finished second in his last two outings at Leopardstown, and he should be involved at the finish. JACKKNIFE (5) comes off a good third-place finish in a Listed race at Sandown. Oisin Murphy rides and he is an interesting runner. NITOI (3) is the best French runner in this contest. He is much better than his last outing in the Group 1 Qatar Prix Du Jockey Club.

    Summary: OLYMPIC GOAL (13) is the mount of in-form Jockey Clement Lecoeuvre. The son of Olympic Glory ran a good race when second on 13 July. With luck in running, he can go one better. KING TREZY (9) has been supplemented for this race. He has produced good form this year and merits healthy respect. RAQEEBB (16) finished behind Olympic Goal when third on 13 July. There should not be much separating the pair at the finish. THUNDERSPEED (15) has good consistent form lines to his credit. Maxime Guyon steps back into the saddle and he should run another honest race.

    Summary: ROSALLION (2) was doing his best work late when second in the Group 1 Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. The son of Blue Point can prove that he is Europe’s best miler by winning this race. THE LION IN WINTER (11) finished third in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat. He should be ideally suited to this distance and is a big threat. ASCOLI PICENO (9) is a visitor from Japan. She has won both her outings this year, the latest of which was a Group 1 in her homeland. She is an interesting runner. ZABIARI (1) is unbeaten from three starts this year. This is his toughest test to date and from pole position, should give a good account of himself.

  11. MONOGAME – Did everything right first time out, winning a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class H 2 weeks ago. On back line but is not incapable of making it 2 on the trot
  12. MARQUIS DU SAPHIR – Serious sort that ran 3rd of 11 in a 2400m Class H at Rochefort-sur-Loire on 20 July. Not ideally-placed on 2nd line but still has the capacity to get in on the action
    Summary: After qualifying superbly in May, MINOTOR D’ALOUETTE (10) went on to open his account at the first time of asking, and even though handed a tough draw here, still looks the one to beat. Alain Chavatte will still be mindful of the promising MONOGAME (11) who similarly did everything asked of him a fortnight back, and the better-positioned MAESTRO BLANC (2) who has been knocking at the door. Encouraging at Chateaubriant, MARCELLO (7) will have a good hand to play if Anthony Barrier keeps him trotting.

  22. L’APPASSIONATO – Courageous 4th of 6 at Vichy but failed to confirm when last but one in a 2750m Cabourg Class E early this month and the extra 25m will do him no favours
  23. L’AIGLE PASS – Unexceptional 6th of 8 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F last Tuesday and appears to have no possible chance
    Summary: Complicated he most certainly is but LATINO ELDE (5) is by no means devoid of talent. Already proven under the saddle, he returns to the code, with with Anthony Barrier aboard, and with application can impose. That said, 2nd line starter and monte debutant, LEREVEUR D’HERIPRE (9) has been in cracking form and racing barefoot with Luka Ott in the irons will be afforded every chance. The delicate LOUSTIC DES MACE (7) got off the mark last month, benefits from a terrific entry, and will be no easy touch if Clea Roger keeps him focused. LONGING VENESI (1) was fighting out the finish of his monte debut before losing his action but has shoes fitted this time and on better behaviour should logically make amends.

JUST HAUFOR (9) is less favourably drawn and was eliminated on re-entry but he nevertheless showed his form and with application could yet trot off with the silverware.     Summary: A few in contention here but advantage goes to front-row starters, most notably the lightly-campaigned KROCANTO BELLO (5) who is shod to preference following a fine re-entry run just a week ago. KOBRA JENILOU (6) however is a model of consistency, boasts a 50% win-rate, and will be expected to put up significant resistance. Competitively-shod for the first time this year, KID SMILE (4) will be dangerous if still on the boil. Winner over 2600m here last month, KANARY BAY (10) is 25m worse off but is like a horse reborn and must be afforded respect.

    Summary: HEROS DE CHOISEL (5) may not be the most dependable of horses but he would have come 2nd last time had he kept trotting; he sports front pads for the occasion and Anthony Barrier will be determined to put things right. Less-favourably drawn, a barefoot HELLO DE LOIRON (10) is nevertheless at the top of his game and a repeat of his recent Josselin performance is not impossible. Barring his penultimate effort, HOTESSE NAY (6) has been firing on all cylinders and Yoann Lebourgeois can be confident of a big run.     Summary: TRIPTAJIKA (5) ran a solid race on the PSF at Deauville 12 days ago when beaten in a close finish into second. She acts well on turf and is preferred ahead of AKAGERA (8), who shaped encouragingly when she was third at Vichy 8 days ago over 2000m in a Class 4 race. JANISA BERE (4) is a consistent performer and can not be ruled out of the top three. REACHING THE MOON (2) lost her maiden tag when scoring 19 days ago at Compiegne and is worth considering.

  22. BELLY DANCER – She has been unplaced on all three runs, well beaten over 2400m in a maiden at Compiegne on May 10th last time out. Look for an alternative
  23. SAN FANTASMA – 7th last time out, 3rd previously over 2200m at Hamburg-Horn (DEU) in a conditions race on June 29th. In the mix
    Summary: BUFFALO WOMAN (4) has been consistent recently with four placed efforts. Her third at Vichy 10 days ago was a credible performance, and a third behind ROSALITA (5) in late July over this course and distance on her penultimate start was a solid run. On more favoured weight terms, she can beat her old rival. LIGHT FACTOR (8) has shown promise in four runs and can make the top three. SAN FANTASMA (11) is also worth considering.

  32. GRAZIA – Unplaced on both starts, the latter over 1400m at Compiegne on June 21st in a conditions race. One to oppose
  33. SCOFIELD – Colt on debut by Armor, the dam ran a few times without a win. Likely to need this run unless the betting market speaks volumes
  34. OBLENSKHY – Unraced colt by Fas, the dam won 1 race over 1600m. A respected trainer who can ready a debutante to perform well. Monitor the betting patterns for more clues
    Summary: CANENA (6) ran a race full of promise when fifth at Clairefontaine on August 2nd on her sole start. She will have made progress from that effort and is worth following. ZILIKHA (5) made a pleasing start to her career when third at Saint-Malo 24 days ago and will know what is required this time. ASIF ALI (4) could be a sensible option to look at each-way after consistent placed efforts on his last three starts. SUGAR DADDY (3) looks best of the rest.

  45. BOMBEY – Four unplaced efforts of late, the most recent when well beaten over 1200m at Chantilly in a Class 3 handicap on June 24th. Needs to get back on track
  46. TOLLARD ROYAL – Recent 4th over 1300m in a Class 4 handicap at Deauville on the PS recently on August 7th. Might find a few too smart
  47. TERRATINO FIRE – Several unplaced runs in Germany of late, 6th over 1400m on August 9th on his last start. Makes no appeal
    Summary: MICHELANGELO (1) won over course and distance two runs back in late July, and can be expected to give a good account of himself on a track he likes. LE CENTRAL (7) can make the selection work hard. He was fourth at this track behind the former on July 27th. MONSIEURVALCHOP (6) was a decent second at Aix Les Bains in early July, and if emulating that run, he can not be ruled out of the frame. KELLY KEY (2) is another to consider.

  59. BAWE ISLAND – Disappointing 14th in a Class 4 Handicap over 1300m at Le Touquet on the 27th of July 2025. Others weigh more attraction
  60. GIN GEMBRE – Finished 9th in a Class 4 Handicap over 1300m at Deauville on the 7th of August 2025. Others preferred
    Summary: KAMETA (2) does not spark the eye of late and was last a winner in August 2024. She searches for her second career win and if her mind is up to the task, she can get the job done as the tentative first choice. QUEEN FLO (7) has made the necessary improvement when finishing sixth and could confidently finish even closer at the firing line here. SHAMASUN (1) was a firm winner last time out and a repetition of that run could find her awakening the top two if they caught asleep. BIG BOOTS (4) ran a good third over the track and trip and will strongly be in the shakeup.

    Summary: ASHIANAS KING (5) has been out of form of late but has been taking on a stronger Class 3 division. He is capable of polishing his form and meets the right field to do so. NEKOLETO (2) last won a race in December last year and does not catch the eye on his latest runs. He does have the urge to redeem himself and could very well do so. L’ENNEMI (3) has yet to win a race and has not disgraced himself on French soil yet. He has a massive chance to spoil the party. SWEET MASTER (4) does look to have a lurker chance.

  75. EASTMAN – Disappointing 12th in a Handicap over 2400m at Compiegne on the 21st of July 2025. One to respectfully pass by
  76. ZILBORN – A better performing effort finishing 4th in a maiden over 2300m at Sille-Le-Guilla on the 9th of August 2025. Include at the backend of quartets
    Summary: NOW THE EAGLE (1) produced an encouraging fourth over the course and distance last time out and could certainly break the maiden shackles off his hooves here. DSCHINGIS POWER (4) has been finishing much closer of late and looks to be a major threatening candidate to the top choice. BATURHAN (2) is never far off them and has a good place chance here. TOUR DE MONDE (3) wraps up the mix and will be involved.
